We're kind of Magical

I'm about five hours late to this party, but this was posted on EQD recently.

As a quick look at the comments will tell you, there's a whole lot of colon-collapsing, angry 'meh's, and, rarely, a few excited voices. Personally? I'm not sure this is legit. It looks kinda... low quality. All of the characters are in almost the exact same pose, they don't have shadows, and I think I remember reading a tutorial on how to draw anime-style heads that looked just like that online a long time ago.

That being said, if it turns out this is a thing, the prudent thing to do would be check it out and see how it goes. In my mind, the coolest thing they could do with this is have it be a magical-girl style thing, where they're trying to blend in as highschool students, but all still have their magical powers (or absurd strength/endurance in AJ and Pinkie's case). But then, that sounds like something I would write, and I can't even get EQD to post my stuff.
