Story Recommendation: The Return of Princess Nightmare Moon. · 8:06pm Jan 25th, 2013
What if, instead of Princess Luna, there was Princess Nightmare Moon in her place? This story written by Aegis Shield shows you a universe where Princess Luna never existed and there was always Princess Nightmare Moon and she was always Celestia's sister. The story begins with everypony, including Celestia, waiting eagerly for Nightmare Moon's return. But when she returned, instead of seeing a proud, regal alicorn they expected, they saw her as starved, skeletal and weak and could barely talk before fainting. As you might expect, Celestia ordered for her to be sent to the medical wing in the palace immediately.
With Nightmare Moon in hospital, Celestia and her student Twilight Sparkle were planning on how to introduce her to the modern times slowly, until they decided that Twilight should give Nightmare daily history lessons. Meanwhile, our most famous snob, Prince Blueblood, was constantly following Twilight to add her bloodline to his own so his family will be closer to godhood like his first ancestors (which are directly descended from Celestia, should I might add). His only problem? Twilight doesn't like him, mainly due to him being a pervert, a snob and power-hungry. And to make things harder for him is that now Nightmare tries to intervene with anything to stop him seduce Twilight, from threatening him, to eat him whole (YES, she ATE Blueblood WHOLE, and ALIVE. Mind you, she shrunk him first). Meanwhile, back to Nightmare, a nurse stallion named Bandaid was assigned to help his princess recover. But, well, she wasn't treating him like a trained nurse, more like a hand- (hoof-?) servant. The story progresses with more shenanigans by Blueblood, more adventures of Nightmare Moon when she explores the changes after a thousand years, Bandaid's growing frustration to the point of losing his temper towards Nightmare for treating him poorly, Celestia's chess making politics, and changelings (yep, changelings).
Why do I recommend it:
1. It has many funny moments.
2. The fact that Nightmare Moon replaces Luna in this story makes it very interesting and fun to read.
3. It has many heartwarming moments during Celestia's and NNM's sibling interactions.
4. Cadence, Chrysallis and Discord are their siblings too (though, it has nothing to do with this).
5. It's Aegis Shield's story.
