Iron Maiden Live at Canterlot (Short HiE Story). · 7:33pm Nov 22nd, 2020

It was a beautiful starry night over Canterlot. Princess Luna raised the moon a few hours ago and many creatures that live in Equestria's capital city went to their homes to have a good night's sleep. But out a bit further away from the city centre was a very large venue with thousands of creatures from around the world concentrated in the area happily chatting and excited for the show to start in a moment. Then the lights faded and the crowd started to cheer. A voice from a very old recording boomed to give a speech.

"We shall go on to the end. We shall fight in France, we shall fight on the seas and oceans, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our island, whatever the cost may be. We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender," the recording boomed. After the speech ended, the intro of a song started to play and the crowd had gone wild. Then the lights turned bright again and three guitarists, a bassist and a drummer appeared on stage playing their instruments with such energy and enthusiasm. They were bipedal, elderly but physically fit for their age and they all sport long hair. Another bipedal, also old and energetic, and was wearing an old pilot's suit and helmet, jumped to the front of the stage as he began to sing.

"There goes the siren that warns of the air raid
Then comes the sound of the guns sending flak
Out for the scramble we've got to get airborne
Got to get up for the coming attack.

"Jump in the cockpit and start up the engines
Remove all wheelblocks there's no time to waste
Gathering speed as we head down the runway
Gotta get airborne before it's too late!"

As the vocalist sang the song, the crowd excitedly sang with him. "With me!" the vocalist called out the crowd and he continued the song.

"Running, scrambling, flying
Rolling, turning, diving, going in again!
Running, scrambling, flying
Rolling, turning, diving!
Ruuuun, live to flyyyy, fly to liiiiive, do or diiiiiiie!
Won't you ruuuun, live to flyyyy, fly to liiiiive, Aces hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh!"

The vocalist ran off to the back to give room to the guitarists who were preparing a solo. While the guitarist were playing the guitar solo, the vocalist was being funny in the background such as air guitaring with one of the guitarists and air drumming next to the drummer, causing his bandmates to laugh at his antics. After the guitar solo, the vocalist ran back to the front and started singing again.

"Move in to fire at the mainstream of bombers
Let off a sharp burst and then turn away.
Roll over, spin round to come in behind them
Move to their blindsides and firing again.

"Bandits at 8 o'clock move in behind us
Ten ME-109s out the sun
Ascending and turning our spitfires to face them
Heading straight for them I press down my guns!

"Rolling, turning, diving!
Rolling, turning, diving, doing it again!
Rolling, turning, diving!
Rolling, turning, diving!
Ruuuun, live to flyyyy, fly to liiiiive, do or diiiiiiie!
Won't you ruuuun, live to flyyyy, flyyy to liiiiive, Aces hiiiiiiiiIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGH!"

When the vocalist screamed the last note and the song ended, the crowd cheered wildly. "Scream for me Canterlot! SCREAM FOR ME CANTERLOT!" The crowd cried loudly when the vocalist shouted those words.

I had the idea about Iron Maiden performing live in Equestria for months now.

Writing stories about live concerts is much harder than I thought.:raritydespair:
