Okay, updates! So, I'm working on a new oneshot idea that basically slapped me in the face and told me to write it, but the style is pretty demanding for me which means it'll probably take a while. In the meantime, I've started the next chapter of Music rolling (since I'm still working out all the details for Fear's next chapter), which is going pretty well. Quite plotty, but I'm still keeping in the relationship building in; it might be a little shorter than the last few chapters have been when all's told, but them's the breaks. The chapter after that is going to be a blast.
As for what my new idea is...Well, what can I say? It's shippy and slice of lifey, like practically everything I've ever written for the fandom, but it's not comedy (le gasp!), and is, in fact, sad. Also, it involves 1st person narration, which I enjoy using but find precious little excuse to. Also, it has themes! Actual themes, not just 'let's ship everypony with everypony for lulz'. Srsly, I kid thee not.
Also, I was considering changing my avatar earlier this week, although I'm not entirely sure why. Because of that, I ended up hopping across to ye olde Pony Maker on yonder hasbro website and dicking around with it a little, until I managed to recreate one with my exact lack of fashion sense. I was, unfortunately, unable to make it look perpetually angry and terrifying on an existential level, so it isn't a true pony-shaped doppelganger of myself. But those were my adventures with the pony maker.
(I later decided not to change my avatar, because come on. Bubble Pipe Twilight would be disappoint, and I'm already using Bamfglasses!Octavia as a cover art.)

In regards to the latest chapter of Fear: it went well, I think. Not as laugh-out-loud funny as perhaps some other chapters, but it adds another element to the plot (which is not Fluttershy, what are you talking about) and has some pointless but enjoyable Twilight/Pinkie interaction. I can confirm that, unless I suddenly get the irrepressible urge to troll all the people who read it, the next chapter of Fear will be the party that the story thus far has been leading up to, which will involve all sorts of mayhem, humour, shipping, and everything Fear readers have come to expect. It will also feature Luna, who I am looking forwards to writing about. I am going to have Fun with the next chapter, and yes, that is patented Dwarf Fortress style Fun™.

Well, there's really nothing that should come before the party at this point. Everything is largely sorted out or can be explained as sorted out, so I don't have any excuses to twiddle my thumbs and do picturesque character pieces (unfortunately).
I think rooting for Team Pinkie in this case would be rooting for Pinkie to usurp Dash's role as main protagonist and become the centre of all the shiptease.

That was the closest one I could find to my former 70's hairstyle. (Nowadays my hair is much shorter, but that looked stupid with the hat. Admittedly, I look a little stupid with the hat now that I have short hair, but dammit I like my hat.)

I'm not sure I look like anyone. Once, when some coworkers and I somehow got into a conversation about which famous actors people resembled, the best anyone could come up with for me was Tobey Maguire. And even then, everyone thought it was a stretch.
Also, I certainly hope Fluttershy will never become plot relevant. At this point, it would shatter all of my illusions if she did.

And, yes. Fluttershy will never be relevant to the plot, so she can hide in the corner and be all anxious without anybody bothering her. Even if it seems like she is relevant, she's actually not. (This will not prevent bad things from happening to her for the amusement of the masses.)
