Who Was Best Pony?
With your host, Church!
Fluttershy. Discord Tamer.
Hello hello, and welcome to the latest installment of Who Was Best Pony?. I hope that you are enjoying your weekend, and I hope that you enjoyed this weekend's episode. Hope.
Anyway, let's talk about it a little bit. Finally, a Fluttershy episode. Bastards apparently don't know that that's the pony everybody wants to see, so why she doesn't have more episodes is really quite a dilemma. But nevermind that. In this episode, we also got to see everybody's favorite villain, Discord.
Awww yeah.
Let's get down to business. Here's what I liked about the episode. Fluttershy becomes a pony that can stand up for herself, even when her very own friends are questioning her ways. That takes strength. Now you really shouldn't mess with her, but we already knew that. I mean, Pinkie Pie going crazy? Pishaw. If Fluttershy went crazy all of Equestria would be in ruin.
Here's why I didn't like the episode. Equestria wasn't in ruin. Why didn't Fluttershy and Discord team up? Lamesauce. Plus, Discord corrects his ways and accepts friendship? What kind of crap is that? Discord deserves two episodes. Not just one. He learns the meaning of friendship so fast a brick wall might as well have come up and just hit him in the face.
"All I ever needed was a friend..."
Now, I agree that if Fluttershy leaves you as a friend, you seriously bucked up. But they're teaching the wrong moral here. Heh, maybe somebody needs a friend. Yeah, well maybe somebody's a psychopath and'll kill you in your sleep. Time to find the real world, kids, they learn at a young age.
Okay. None of that matters anyway. Who the buck was the best pony from the episode? In my opinion, it's obvious. But I guess I'll let you guys vote for it *sighs*. I guess.
I have three guest judges today (yay). I'd like to thank all three of them for stopping by. Put your hooves together for Befallen Tragedy, KitsuneRisu, and Geist.
And may they cast their vote for best pony... or else...
Let us begin.
Who was best pony, Befallen?
Befallen says: "It's pretty obvious for who I think the standout character in this episode is... DISCORD! Not really, I thought he was just there for the laughs up until the end. The real show stopper was Fluttershy. Up until now (Except for maybe one or two occasions) we've always seen her as shy and scared of everything. But in this episode we finally got to see her as she is at home, at peace with everything. It was refreshing to see the blend of old-Fluttershy and new-Fluttershy hanging with the king of chaos himself and it really made me like her character more than I did."
Good job, Befallen. You voted for best pony Fluttershy is a good vote, and the obvious one, but it is her episode. Loving the new Fluttershy. She's still adorable AND she stands up for herself.
Moving on...
Who was best pony, Kitsune?
Kitsune says: "Clearly, without a doubt, this week's best pony is.....
Angel Bunny.
Yep. Angel. Why? Because he does NOT GIVE A POOT.
He was the one character who stood defiant against Discord, regardless of what he threw at him. He did not waver, run away, change his stance, or go back and forth on emotions. He was one pissed off little bunny, and it remained constant as his motivation for all his actions throughout the episode.
In that he was, quite sadly, the most balanced and well-written character for the entire episode. Maybe even the season.
Angel is best pony because everything he did had a point. Also because he's really pissed off all the time and that's just funny."
I... hm. I... damn. Good point. Angel Bunny is seemingly just like the writers of the show now. Either they just don't give a poot or they're running for their lives in a house revolving in mid-air. What an accurate analogy.
Moving on...
Who was best pony, Geist?
Geist says: "My vote would go to: Miss Fluttershy
Why I feel she deserves it? Simple. Though I have yet to see the episode. Just the idea that when everypony else saw fit to turn him away, dear Fluttershy stepped up and sought to bring to order and reform the very embodiment of chaos puts her well in league to be best pony in my book. I mean, by her timid nature alone, you would think she'd be the first to decline but instead she took some mighty reigns for the betterment of Equestria. And did well from what I hear. I may not know how it all ended, but it takes some real gumption to do something like that I feel. The kind of gumption that stares down dragons and cockatrices alike without batting an eye and shows em' who's really boss. So Miss Fluttershy, you have my vote. Keep on Flutterin' on. *gives a salute* "
Lovely lovely Miss Fluttershy. How we do adore you. Great that the Princess could entrust her with the job. Not great that the Princess would just up and leave without giving a buck. Good job Princess. It's nice to know who's in charge.
Moving on...
Who was best pony, Church?
Church says: "Do you guys really think you don't know who my vote for best pony is? Really?
It's Fluttershy (man how I've wanted to say that for EVERY SINGLE EPISODE)
Fluttershy is the Discord Tamer. She knew what she had to do all along, and even when faced with adversity (ex- her discouraged friends, or Discord being complicated) she pulled through and got the job done. Fluttershy is the best friend ever. We don't need any racist barns or crystal hearts. All we need is a friend. So keep calm and Flutter on, says Church. Keep calm and Flutter on."
All right. So that just about does it for this weeks installment. Thank you again, guest judges, for stopping by. And remember to cast YOUR VOTE for best pony! Yes, you, right there at home, are allowed to cast your vote for the best one. So remember to respond in the comment section!
Oh, almost forgot. Your vote for best pony from the last episode was... unsurprisingly... Applejack.
Eeyup.
Thanks guys! And may BEST PONY WIN!

Fluttershy. I'm not going to bother with explaining my choice, because there is no need for that. She just was best pony, and that is all.
That or Gravy Boat
Dat video...
Discord was best draconequus.
But, Fluttershy was best pony.
Fluttershy hands down.
Gotta give it to Fluttershy. This is my favorite Fluttershy episode ever (which is, I admit, a bit like saying it's the most exciting waiting room I've ever been in.) But still, good job writers!
Of course, I do think it's batshit crazy for promising not to use her element. Seriously, Fluttershy, what part of "chaos" is confusing here?
Also- FlutterCord FOREVER!

Fluttershy!
<3 Fluttershy in this episode!
And it's not like Discord COMPLETELY turned a new leaf. You'll notice his appointment when Celestia told Twilight she'd leave the Elements with her. I don't think we've seen the last of Discord.
In the meantime, let the Fluttercord fics begin!
need I say
THIS TALLY IS FIXED
Highlights:
Fluttershy- ^what they said up there
Discord- not a pony; eats paper and pulls his own eyes out.
Angel- not a pony; THE ADVENTURE OF ANGEL BUNNY!
731506 Fluttershy is always best pony and needs no explanation.
731572 You can vote for either or. It makes no difference.
731611 Fluttershy is best princess.
731693 That's a just in case thing. No, it looks like Discord is good now. There could be an episode where he turns evil, but it would be like a Nightmare Moon sort of thing.
732339 Not if you go shhhhhh...
732522 Considering we've seen her, like, once, there could be some doubts.
735504
I VOTE FOR BOTH!
732522>>735504
No. this. THIS. This. I change my vote. THIS.
737361 FINE HILLBILLY BOB
737485
I change my vote to Hillybilly Bob.
I thought that episode had a lot of really great points, especially concerning how Equestria is run. It really ties back well to Twilight's "Want it need it spell, works every time" line from Lesson Zero, Cadence's generally creepy superpower, the moon cannon, Celestia's statue garden, and... well, you get the picture.
If you didn't like the episode, I'd recommend watching this:
ANYWAY, I'd say best pony goes to Ashleigh Ball for the "Dipcord" line.
