Martian... This Means War...

So my buddy Martian has gotten into drawing as well as writing fanfiction. I thought it was funny. Then, I decided "hey, I suck at drawing. I can do that too!"

I'm kidding, buddy.

Anyway, guess what I did? I put my ATROCIOUS drawing ability to the test! These are my first pony (and pretty much any) drawings EVAR.

Fluttershy ended up suckish. I made her eyes too big. DAMN EYES. They watch me all weirdly and crap. Bastards.

But Dashie turned out much better, I believe. I'll start drawing on the side, but I'd like to find a better way to upload pics than by taking them with my phone...

Anyway, point, laugh, and go "why the hell are you doing this, Church?"

Hmm, not bad for a first and second attempt actually. You may have a shot at this if your really interested. I think I even see a hint of a personal style already. I think the only thing I would suggest so far might be to be a little less angular with the wings. A flowing line would suit them best, in my humble opinion. Although, wings, much like hands, are a pain in the ass no matter what you do with them most times and really it's your work and your free to draw anything however you wish if it works well for you.

Again though, not bad for a start. As stated already, practice makes perfect ponies

For a first attempt, pretty damn good. Tell you two secrets:
#1: Draw bigger. Like, take up the page: this gives you room to work, plus you can see a lot more little errors that can be fixed.
#2: Circles. practice them until you can sketch a good one then go from there. Circles are the key to everything art.

If you want better help, talk to an artist, not a hack.

Hard? Well, I always draw facial views, not really any bodily sections. I guess it is difficult depending on the size of the paper...
And these really aren't bad at all! You could use some improvement, but this is a fabulous start!
