    Tales off for Vacation

Basically the title says it all: Tales will be taking a couple weeks off; don't know exactly how many, but chapters should be back before the end of April.

    No Tales This Week

Basically what it says in the title; I'm not happy with the quality of 12-3 and it needs a bit longer to sit before it's ready.

    Tales on Holiday Hiatus

The title basically says it all; there won't be a new Tales from Everfree City until the new year. In addition to the upcoming holidays, I used up my backlog of chapters and need some time to build them back up, and rather than having just one chapter in a new Tale drop, going a couple weeks without, grabbing one or two more and then taking another couple weeks off for Christmas and New

    Checking In

I know I missed Tales last week, and I'm going to miss today's posting too; I promise this isn't a(nother) huge absence, I've just been busy with work and helping some friends move and haven't had the time I need to polish up 9-3. It is coming, it is being worked on, and I apologize for the delay.

"The Price of Loyalty" · 10:49pm Jan 12th, 2013

So here we are. A new chapter, a nice weekend, and, oh yeah- a Joint Universe team-up between myself and The 24th Pegasus, author of the fantastic Of Skies Long Forgotten and its brand new sequel.

The idea is this: he and I shared a few names for random characters, and then Keyesty (my Russian translator and now newest pre-reader) started joking with '24th' about cross-referencing. Being the cunning scoundrel that I am, I decided to send 24 a private message, all the while publicly utterly ignoring the idea. We talked a little bit, and realized just how well things fit together, and it wasn't long before we had a plan. WLL and OSLF will continue with their original plots, albeit with some new depths and (in my case) historical references as we're able to lean on one-another for world-building on issues like how magic works, and geographic locations and whatnot. He put some huge ones in the first chapter of his sequel, Snow and Shadows, and I have a few subtle ones in the newest chapter, but there are a few places where you'll be able to see big links coming together after a short while.

On that topic, I have to give a huge shout-out and thank you to 24th. Not only is he a great writer, but also very flexible and very friendly in regards to making this all work. We've had a lot of very interesting discussions on minutiae between our stories that you might not even really notice, but those times when we reached an impasses (particularly in regards to chronology), he was more than willing to help me out. So, 24th Pegasus, thanks. You're awesome.

Here's hoping you'll all check out his work, (and hoping even more that all his readers will check out my stuff). <Doesn't have an emoticon in Blog Posts.>

"The Price Of Freedom" started playing in my head for some reason.

I try to be. But seriously, it's an honor to be working with you, and I look forward to the future.

Loyal Liar is hoping I'll do something? I will begin reading at once! Yay the WLL universe grows. :yay:

EDIT: Oh damn 116,000 words. This will take some time.
