A very long post about happenings and apologies.

For those of you who read my story, Weathering Winter, thanks a whole lot of bunches. I've been really busy over the holidays, (*cough* reading ALL of FOE: Project Horizons in two weeks) and I would like to apologize that I did not write as much as I should have. I finally got fed up going over this last chapter, I've been stressing over it trying to make it... well, good. I'm still not 100% satisfied, but it will have to do. I've been a long time without an update and I can't promise that I will be much quicker in the future. But I want all my readers to know that I'm not quitting and I'm always working on the story, even if it is just a little each day.

However, there are a few more interesting things that have developed that I think you all should know about concerning Weathering Winter:
One, I've started a Tumblr blog featuring Winter... I plan on getting a story going for it soon. In relation to that, I've picked up drawing over the holidays and I've been working hard to get some acceptable looking work. I hope to get a proclamation up on the blog about what Winter is doing there very soon. If you like the story, go check it out! I'm finding I enjoy drawing a lot.
... Of course, this means that I've fallen into the pit of no return in regards to tumblr... I am now wasting at least an hour a day there. But I've enjoyed some of the stories and characters they have to offer there immensely.

Next, I am removing the "Alternate Universe" tag from my story. When I started writing, the ending was drastically different than what I want to do now... And, as a consequence, the plot has changed and I no longer think that the AU tag applies or will be applied. The alternate reality that Twilight and Winter are in is different then an alternate universe. So, the tag will be removed, I really hope that doesn't cause anyone to stop reading but I think it must be done.

I would like to rewrite my first chapters next instead of moving on with new ones. I feel like there are issues with how the story flows and I want to take some time to flesh the writing out more to make the reading more enjoyable. I do not plan on changing anything story wise, but I hope to add a lot more showing and a lot less telling. So, we will see where that goes.

Next, Season 3: I've not had any conflicts with show canon yet, and thus S3 will stay canon to my story until something comes up. There might be a few wonky dates in the story, so if you find any let me know and I'll make sure to fix it so that the story implies it is occurring after season 3. I will be going over the first (at least 2) chapters so don't worry about anything in those, I'll get it.

That's all I got on Weathering Winter.

But I'm not done yet: I have a few other writing projects that I have vested an interest in. I have a HTTYD crossover and a (maybe) comedy featuring Princess Luna. I say maybe because I've started writing it and it's pretty dark. But, I want to set a serious scene for what Luna has to do... so we will see where it goes, but I doubt I'll ever achieve the comedic awesomeness of A Slice of Life.
