Based on a suggestion in the comments on my last post, I've adopted a new avatar. I likes it. Thanks for letting me know about it.
In other news, I've finally found a pic to go with The Stars, the Seal, and the Kraken. Also, with that image attached, I've submitted it to EqD. We'll see if it gets through (hooves crossed).
Also, by complete accident, I found someone's reading of Derpy Day on YouTube. Holy frick. Despite pronouncing my name wrong and not letting me know he was doing this, I can't be mad. It's just mind-boggling that someone liked my work enough to make that kind of effort. (I really wish they'd clued me in -- I get comments on the EqD post emailed to me, ya know -- but that's only so I could have known sooner instead of stumbling on it like I just did.)
Not only that, but Shannonigans Art on Tumblr made some fanart based on the story. My mindhole just got blown freakin' hardcore, man. I. Have. FANART.

(That last one doesn't have anything to do with the story aside from the DitzyMac shipping, but it's cute and deserves the exposure.)
PS: Two quick technical questions about the site (EDIT for clarification: FIMfiction, not Tumblr):
1) Does anyone know if there's a setting to get email whenever someone comments on a blog post? I've looked for one but I can't seem to find it.
[strike]2) Does anyone know how to delete a blog post? I've got this empty one from a weird error when I made my last post, and I'm tired of looking at it.[/strike] (Figured this one out on my own, I just wasn't looking in the right place.)
EDIT to add a third: Is there a way to add a break in a blog post, so only the first part will show on the main page and then there's a link to click to read the rest?
1) Nope. You can receive notifications when people reblog/like your own tumblr posts, but not any tumblr post (as far as I know).
2) When you're logged in, you should see, along the top of your dash, a set of buttons. On the left is just the tumblr logo, then on the right, you should see "Dashboard", "[whatever your blog's called]", "inbox", etc. Click on your blog's name, up there, then scroll down to the post you want deleted. Along the top of your individual post, there should now be: "x notes", "delete", "edit", "reblog". From there you can delete it.
3) To insert a break, go into HTML mode and right before the first paragraph after the break, type: <!-- more -->
The art looks amazing! And your stories definitely deserve it.

I was asking about FIMfiction, not Tumblr. I don't even have a Tumblr account yet. (Although there's lots of stuff on it, apparently, so maybe I should...?)

Regarding e-mail notifications, here's an idea. Go to "Edit Account", and scroll down to Notifications and check "Email when someone replies to a comment of mine." If a blog post is classified as a "comment", then you should get a notification. I don't know if it'll work, but it's worth a shot.
I can't seem to find any option anywhere else to send e-mail notifications for blog posts, so the above oblique approach is all I got.

As to your queries, I think everyone else answered accordingly. And for breaks, I'm not sure, have you tried asking one of the admins? You can just jump into the fimfic IRC and and type out one's name and ask and typically you'll get an answer.

So The Stars, the Seal, and the Kraken was rejected by EqD. Some of the criticisms made more sense than others, but I'll see what I can do. Maybe the problem is that I've been putting more work into continuing the story than polishing what's already written.
