So, Simulacrum is done so you're all probably wondering what my next fic will be about and when it will be coming out. Well, the simple answer is, the next fic is already beign written (despite me saying I need a break). It's a one shot shippping fic because if I don't write something happy between my dark stuff I'll probably make myself depressed. Hopefully it won't turn into the monster that was Transcending Legends. Oh, and it's a (hopefully realistic) RariJack ship fic.
BUT! I've also got two dark fics planned. One is probably another collab with y1 and the rouch character arcs are already planned out in my head and I've got three key scenes down. Just need to flesh it out a bit more. The other is also a dark fic, but I'm currently tossing up between two different ideas (I prefer focusing on one fic at a time). The first is the Civil War fic I've mentioned in comments a couple of times, and I don't really want to write it because it's that depressing. If done right, it'd probably be worse than Breaking Twilight and Simulacrum put together, but I don't know if I have the skill to pull it off. There's also very little room for character development since I'll be starting in the middle of the story similar to how Dusk and Dawn was started. That gives me a lot less room for growth than compared to Breaking Twilight, but it also means I can cut out the beginning of the war. But regardless of whether I start from the beginning or the middle, the amount of dark and tragedy present makes me want to not write it. The other is pretty damn out there involving a crack pairing, Tartarus and a craptastic world. It also lacks character development thus far, but I only came up with the idea the other day and I feel there's enough potential there to make it interesting. Regardless, all three fics will closer in length and stuff to Breaking Twilight than Simulacrum. So a lot more character development, a long overarching plot ideas, etc. Feel to give your input and thoughts.
Finally, I've decided to just use this journal as a place where you can ask random questions about any of my fics (will always answer these) or about me in general (will not always answer these). Any particularly interesting stuff or commonly asked question I'll edit it in below.

You see, here's the thing, the more people say I hate Twilight, the more I'm going to play to that expectation. It means I can do super evil stuff to Twilight and go "Hey, according to you, I hate Twilight so I might as actually deserve that reputation". It actually makes me want to do worse stuff to her.
Also, it gives me a reason to do bad stuff to other ponies. For example, in my next TwiDash fic, I'm tempted to make somepony lose a limb that's not Twilight just to go "Well I have to show I don't hate Twilight somehow"
So, in response to your question, I don't hate Twilight, but I might as well play it up since everyone thinks I do.
643878 I wish I could tell you, but it's kinda a subtle thing that I'll be implying rather than stating out right with a lot of backstory to make it believable. But I did say I'll answer all fic related questions so it's interspecies romance that doesn't involve any ponies.

Well if we do the collab one, I could probably manage two at the same time especially if we dialed back how much we write each night. On the other hand, if we don't collab on that one, I'll probably write that one and only that one. I hate splitting my focus between two fics and trying to update both weekly would probably make my grades plummet. So yeah.
Have you considered doing a one-shot follow-up to Breaking Twilight? I'd still like everyone's reactions to Twilight being an Alicorn. (Going with the 'happy ending' here, of course.)

I actually started one a couple months back, but it didn't get far and felt rather dead. I've got a rough plan in my head of what I want to happen (and parts of it come from all the multitude of endings I had considered for the fic). So kinda? I mean, I've written parts of it and thought about it, but actually finding the time to write is another matter. Who knows, maybe if I finish the RariJack oneshot fast enough I may write it up and post it.

The thing is, thanks to the power of friendship and Twilight's nature, it's hard to make her an antagonist unless I take her so far to the extremes that disobeying Celestia would have positive consequences. The closest I'll ever get is probably the Civil War fic that I've been contemplating, but that fic doesn't really have antagonists and is instead got a lot of grey areas involving two opposing ideals.
