Equestrian Stories 2024 - Queen of Queens, in print! · 2:19pm April 22nd

Remember those earlier blogs I posted about potentially seeing Queen of Queens in print? Yeah, I don't blame you, as it's been a moment. Well, it's actually happening.
In short:
Equestrian Stories (2024) is a collection of short fics being produced as a high-quality print, complete with custom art, handled by Avonder over at Nonexistent Publications. For this collection, my own Queen of Queens was chosen as one of the stories included in the printing.
Right now, they're in the process of picking artists to produce the frontispiece for each story, and they're holding a write-in vote for potentials. You can read more on Avonder's relevant blog post here or go directly to the write-in poll at this link.
Personally, I've been "out" of the fandom for a long time now, so I don't feel confident recommending any artists. You, lovely reader reading this blog right now, though, are probably more in tune with the fandom. So I thought I'd direct you all to the poll; it's not just for Queen of Queens, but for any and all of the other exceptional stories featured in the print. So if you've got a favourite pony artist or two (even if they haven't touched the fandom in years) that you'd like to see produce something amazing for a classic fanfic, go ahead and write them in. Let's make this happen.
Although I don't know the artist personally, a friend of mine recommended one AssasinMonkey as a potential artist for Queen of Queens. Looking at their gallery, I must say I do love the style, and I do think it could definitely work for Queen of Queens. Do you agree? Do you have a better candidate in mind? I'm a wary as to how long it will take, getting submissions from several artists might be hard... it looks like it took Overstreet 18 extra months to chase down artwork for Changeling Space Program. A quick look into my copy of Avonder's ES 2019 anthology indicates nine artists... I think. The illustrations are mostly grey-scale except one opposite the title page. Avonder also included a small colour print on card stock. Avonder puts in little flourishes like that. My two volume copy of Background Pony comes with a musical soundtrack on two CDs! Anyway, it was nine months from crowdfund to delivery for ES 2019, so, ES 2024 could be fast. 
Assasinmonkey is a great artist. I have no clue how Avonder handles the logistics of wrangling artists.

That does look pretty amazing. To be honest, I've no idea how the sausage is made, and I don't care to have any; I just try to help out in small ways where I can, such as by guiding people to the publication.
