Some Art of a More Pleasant Sort

Because I am obsessive about those sorts of details, I had to know if the captain's gig could plausibly fit on Nebula's main deck with her gasbag fully inflated. I wrote a scene where that happens, and a little voice at the back of my head kept nagging at me to make sure I wasn't describing something that couldn't be done. Turns out after a morning of modeling and measuring, the gig can fit—just

    Update to the Glossary

As expected, sharp-eyed readers have spotted several errors and typos in the glossary for The Cadenza Prophecies and I have gone about fixing them. Nothing noteworthy there, but I also made a major overhaul to one of the illustrations that only served to explain one term. Now it is much more useful:

The Glossary and Illustrations Chapter is Live!

I decided to append the glossary to the end of the story. Turns out it's longer than any of the chapters. :twilightoops:

It will remain the last chapter even as new chapters come out. As I recall, that created some issues with quoting comments or something like that in The Skyla Pseudonym, so be aware of that if you want to comment on the glossary itself.

    Enjoy!

Pirate News! · 6:31pm March 30th

Some of the more perceptive among you may have come to suspect that I have a thing for pirates. So, you may not be surprised to learn that I am awash in all the latest hot pirate gossip. Well, there is breaking news in the world of seafaring wealth-redistribution that has got everyone's eyepatches a-flutter!

New evidence has emerged about Captain Henry Avery (The Pirate King™), which suggests he faked his own death and became a spy for William III. You can read an article about it in the Guardian, HERE.

Shocking! :twilightoops:

Maybe he's an alicorn now! :pinkiehappy:

That gal gets all the booty!

The only Avery story I know is from Uncharted series, or more specifically the fourth game.
But it is still one of my most favorite games

And then Captain Henry Avery took another scallywag under his wing, and in front of a new crew - who knew none the wiser - began calling HIM Captain Henry Avery !!

Then decades later THAT GUY did the same, and so forth... wait... that was the Dread Pirate Roberts from Princess Bride...

Never mind.

I adore the Uncharted games! :pinkiehappy: (And hated the movie. :facehoof:)

Yeah... I could not watch the movie either to be honest...I tried but it grated on my nerves.
I understand that visual media need to be somewhat different from book or game and viceversa, but but many such attempts go way too far

Maybe he's waiting for a group of plucky teens who need his treasure to save their homes. Now, where have I heard that one before...

Did you know that Nathan Fillion, who played Mal in Firefly made an Uncharted fan film in his house? He was showing it around several years ago, trying to raise interest in producing a movie. His version would have been excellent, I'm sure! Check it out:
