Some Art of a More Pleasant Sort

Because I am obsessive about those sorts of details, I had to know if the captain's gig could plausibly fit on Nebula's main deck with her gasbag fully inflated. I wrote a scene where that happens, and a little voice at the back of my head kept nagging at me to make sure I wasn't describing something that couldn't be done. Turns out after a morning of modeling and measuring, the gig can fit—just

    Update to the Glossary

As expected, sharp-eyed readers have spotted several errors and typos in the glossary for The Cadenza Prophecies and I have gone about fixing them. Nothing noteworthy there, but I also made a major overhaul to one of the illustrations that only served to explain one term. Now it is much more useful:

The Glossary and Illustrations Chapter is Live!

I decided to append the glossary to the end of the story. Turns out it's longer than any of the chapters. :twilightoops:

It will remain the last chapter even as new chapters come out. As I recall, that created some issues with quoting comments or something like that in The Skyla Pseudonym, so be aware of that if you want to comment on the glossary itself.

    Enjoy!

Yes, I've changed the title of my current story a bit. While doing (yet another) editing pass, I realized that my impulse to avoid a bit of a clumsy word-choice was just flat-out wrong, so I've made a little mid-course correction. My deepest apologies to anyone having to say this new, more sibilant title out loud.

I'll leave it up to you whether it's a good thing or a bad thing that I already forgot what the word that came after "Cadenza" was and only reverse-engineered it in my head from the particular phrasing of this blog.

And smart move, bud – take it from me, if something is better off with a name change, do it as soon as possible! Only ten days into publication, you can't get much sooner than that. :raritywink:

Ah, there's more than one. Neat!

Believe me, you won't be able to forget that word after you've read the whole thing! :rainbowlaugh:

I got lucky by realizing my error now. If I hadn't had Dan Brown's potboiler in the back of my mind at the time, I would have more properly titled the first in this series The Celestia Cipher. It would be (of course) completely insane to change that title now.

"Neat!"

Your opinion and Twilight's diverge quite a bit on this matter! :trollestia:

> iisaw stealth retcons new book name into The Skyla Pseudonym, Chapter 1, Footnote 4 on FimFic
> can’t retcon print editions
> keeps mention of the Chrysalis Crisis in Chapter 2, so maybe inspiration to write a new book 4.5 will strike next year
:trollestia:

But seriously, it’s nice to have you and this universe back!

"> can’t retcon print editions"

That just makes them more valuable. Check the Sotheby's listing for the price of a first edition of The Celestia Code, if you don't believe me!

Oh, and thanks for mentioning that other footnote! I need to go change it to The Chrysalis Debacle. (Or maybe "Fiasco"? Dunno, might change my mind later.)
(:trollestia:)

It's good to be back.

can i come with a name change idea for The Celestia Code? how about renaming it to The Celestial Code? would be better to say, but it's fine if not.
