    Something Neat I Found

    So, like any normal author who writes fanfiction about a pony named Anon, I often browse the oc:filly anon tag on Derpibooru. Well, today while taking a look in there, I found something that really, really made me smile. Sure, these aren't my bug, Anonymous Flicker, but it's great to finally see some changeling queen Anon arts out there. I still positively squeed when I saw them.

    Events to come and User Input

    So now that Make Your Mark has reached its apparent conclusion, I have a vague outline for the path that Vlogs of an Ancient Insect may take. That said, I'm looking at concluding things at Roots of All Evil - Part 2 before going into an epilogue. Before I go too far with things, I thought I'd shake some things up with some community input on canon events.

    Chime in after the break.

    Going Forward

    As it stands, there are two chapters currently completed, with one of them ready to go on Monday. After that is posted on Monday, I will be putting Diaries on a release and potential work hiatus until the new year. More thought needs to be put into the story's central final arc. Presently, we are in a cooldown from the Storm King's Invasion/Manehattan arcs, in what I tentatively think of as

    Thoughts so far? / What you'd like to see?

    Dunno how many will see this or respond, but to those who do, I've got a few questions for you all, mostly to see where your heads are at. I've generally been enjoying writing this story and it's technical sequel, and I've got the overarching plot of the story planned, but I've been curious where reader thoughts are at regarding the story so far. I'd love to know what you like or dislike about

Weird the way the brain does that · 12:16pm Oct 28th, 2023

I gotta tell you guys, it's been great seeing the reception that Diaries of the Anonymous Filly has gotten. That so many of you like it, however, makes me feel kind of guilty. See, although I have three completed chapters stocked for Anon Filly/Bug's adventures in PTSD, in the last week I have barely gotten any work done on the newest chapter. Maybe seven hundred words.

In part, it's because I've been bitten by the American Truck Simulator bug. It's just so damn relaxing to put on some headphones, put a fanfic up on my phone, and turn on the text to speech while I go gallivanting across the western United States. No matter how many times I cross under the Continental Divide through the Eisenhower Tunnel, it just never gets old. I will say that I hate those nasty switchbacks on State Highway 39 and the stretch of U.S. Route 550 between Durango and Ouray.

Mostly, however, it's just been a case of my brain hyperfixating on one of my other fics. Well another fic and a short in that same setting. Gotten out 16789 (no joke) words in the last week between Pandemic: of Twins and Tails, and Pandemic: an Ode to Riverview. I'm gonna try to get back to Anon's story as soon as I can, but I think my brain has decided where all this manic creative energy should go.

Don't forget to turn off the speed limiter

Speed limiter? You mean cruise control? Why would I ever do that? That makes trips so much more simple.
I kid... That's the last thing I'd want to use while on a switchback.

In euro truck sim, I believe there was a speed limiter. As in, I can't go above the vehicle's speed of 70km/h.

With this trick I could go 150km/h, if engine permits, in either highway or side roads.

Just ignore numbers on tickets that occasionally pops up

Bah, I'm a good egg. I only ever drive at the speed limit or some variable range below depending on what sort of cargo I'm hauling. Highest speed limit I've seen so far I think has been 70, and my algorithm is usually
limit=70
variant=random.randint(5, 16)
speed=limit-variant
Sure, 65 is the given cap for the vehicle, but that's fine.
