So I've already introduced or teased a few potential couples coming up in Flurry Heart's Story and My Little Sister is a Dragon, and of course there are some ones that have already tied the knot like Rainbow Dash/Thunderhead or Applejack/Tex. The only non-canon couple that has already been confirmed is Sunset Shimmer and Flash Sentry, but then again, they were already setting that up in "Legends of Everfree" years ago. Right now, the ones I'm teasing are Starlight/Sunburst, Billow/Scorch, Twilight/Nightwatch, and Noctura/Zephyrus. I'm also hinting at Flurry/Pound, though that one is going to take some time to get into since they're just kids right now. I made a Deviant Art poll the other day on which of these ships people are most excited about and it looks like Starlight/Sunburst has the most votes. I guess people just really love those two being together. XD
Now I'm not much of a known "shipper", at least not to a point where I go after people who disagree. Shippers have a bad reputation because of such spats, but thankfully none have gone after me yet. Honestly I'm surprised none of them have called me meaningless slurs like "homophobe" for putting Applejack and Rainbow Dash with males (despite the fact that they are not a confirmed couple in the show, people just look into things too much). Well if my stories get big enough, I best prepare for that. Shippers can be some of the worst people in fandoms, but some of them are pretty moderate about it and don't go after others.
If these couples being used in these stories make me seem like a shipper, let's put it this way: I will make sure I don't look like one of the bad ones. One of my biggest focuses on this series is the concept of family and how much of a blessing it is. That's why I gave Applejack and Rainbow Dash husbands, and I actually had conceptualized that for them way back in 2018 before I decided to make this a fanfic series. I always figured AJ would be the first of the Mane Six to get married and have kids due to how close-knit her family is and how traditional she is. Rainbow was more of a "go against the grain" deal since most assume she'll be single and just stick with the Wonderbolts. I was originally thinking of a boyfriend for Pinkie, but then she and Cheese were a confirmed married couple at the end of the show, and that changed things. I still haven't figured out what to do with Rarity and Fluttershy yet, but here's some interesting trivia about Nightwatch: the concept for him started years ago when I imagined the show introducing a male counterpart to Twilight that she would fall in love with, since they weren't going absolutely nowhere with pony Flash Sentry. Now that I've teased him and Twilight being a thing, you can expect to see a little more about that later. I have a lot of interesting things prepared for Nighty's story and how it relates to Twilight and eventually carries on into FHS.
Starlight and Sunburst are a pretty popular couple, and in all honesty, I can see why. Starlight's adorable nervous mannerisms and the fact that she has a history with Sunburst just seem to fit them being a couple. And I know I shouldn't read into certain scenes and lines from the show, but this screenshot really feels like the animator was at least shipping them. Trixie has said several lines in "Fillie Jean" that hint that she's trying to get them together and I have no shortage of super adorable Starburst ship art, so my readers have already picked up on it. I'll do the best I can to build up on them, cuz I have some plans for it. As for Luster Dawn... I know she looks like their daughter, but I'm not too sure what to do with Luster yet. I honestly can't even figure out how to make her fit into the story, but I'll take care of that later.
Now I hadn't thought of the idea of Scorch getting a girlfriend at first, but earlier this year, I imagined him with a plump Southern Drake, and the idea of Billow came to my mind and it went from there. It's only been in one chapter of "My Big Fat Pink Wedding" and one silly little piece of fanart so far and already they're total couple goals. I won't say much right now, but I've got some ideas blooming about their future interactions, and I am really excited to write for them and make fanart of them too! :3
Noctura and Zephyrus have also been hinted, though only briefly, and my lazy bum still hasn't drawn any art of Zeph yet. Noctura went through a lot of emotional damage in the Nightmare Moon Arc and she'd find comfort in a good stallion that is there for her to love and cherish her. This is another one I can't say much about, but we will see them again. The next time we see Nocti, it might even be WITH Zeph!
And now for the last one and furthest away from happening: Pound and Flurry. I guess it's already kinda obvious I'm preparing to put them together someday, but I haven't really thought of how it's going to happen just yet. Again, they are kids, so this one is a ways off from happening. The reason I had Pound and Flurry's relationship be kind of love/hate is actually because I wanted to build them up this way. Being the oldest, Pound is like the de facto leader of the "Kid Six" when Spike isn't around, and since Flurry kind of also takes charge and wants to lead, they tend to see different view-points, causing them to fight. Pound also steps in whenever Flurry volunteers to do something dangerous. He knows she's an important member of the royal family and a valuable asset to Equestria, but he also cares for her as a friend, and whenever he gets angry at her, he does it out of love. Flurry and Pound's friendship will really be put to the test in "Ghost of Grogar" coming up, and there will be plenty of other instances in future episodes of them being at odds but caring for each other deep down.

Please do not speak of that disgraceful dumpster fire of a movie. I hate nearly everything they did in that film (except the geode magic), especially how Flash was disrespected in favor for an asshole like Timber who did nothing but make the situation worse. Also, Sunset was a total bitch to him, and that's coming from someone who likes Sunset. I have said before I am not a fan of her and Flash being together and don't really approve of them being together in your series either. In fact, it is one of the biggest (and only real) negatives I have for your series.
I wasn't sure how to feel about the hints of Twilight and Nightwatch being a couple at first, mainly because I prefer her with Flash above all else. But since it was revealed that their dragon companions Spike and Buttercream are siblings, I feel a bit more open to the idea.
I really like the idea of Billow and Scourch though and look forward to seeing more of them eventually. I am not the biggest fan of Flurry and Pound, mainly due to how some people try to force it with little to no actual buildup or reason, but I like their interactions in your series so far.
It is no wonder fans want to see more of Starlight and Sunburst together in your series. They are pretty much made for each other. You can tell how much Sunburst means to Starlight due to her turn to villainy after losing him, and how much she loves spending time with him. I always loved how they ended up running Twilight's school together.
I have no opinions on Noctura and Zephyrus yet, but hopefully it will be good.

Lol, sorry. I agree though that Flash got sidelined in that. I wish that they'd have just kept Flash with Twilight and build on to it. I don't know why they were so afraid to, but since they didn't that's where Nighty came in. Some episodes in MLSiaD will definitely build on to what is happening with Nighty and Butter, and there's also a big reason why Nighty didn't open up to Twilight all these years, even though he clearly could since she's famous and she willingly sends him her address at some point.
I am looking forward to what I can do with Billow and Scorch. The next story with them in it will be cute indeed. :3
It's no wonder it's a popular ship, and it does seem like somebody in the show wanted it to happen, at least the animator of that one screenshot I posted above. It seems to work rather nicely. It's just so weird that Luster looks like their daughter, but they didn't go ahead and just admit that she is. They went ahead and confirmed Pinkie and Cheese, why not Glimmy and Sunny?
That's cuz I haven't done much with them yet. i really need to draw Zeph soon.

I do like surprising my readers! :3 I am honestly pleased with how those two have turned out, and I feel good using Scorch for some character building.
I have someone in mind, but I'm not sure about it yet so I'm going to see if I can work my way into it.
I really like all of these ships and I can’t wait to see how they will interact in future stories. Also for Pound and Flurry they could eventually start developing crush’s for each other but don’t act on it until the future where you could do a time skip and have them get together when they’re older. Also I agree on the AppleDash thing from the series finale, there was really no hint that they were attracted to each other and just came outta nowhere

Okay I will admit the movie wasn't too great it did felt like they just completely forget everything what flash did and everything once again Hasbro really keep forgetting these characters and that always such a big huge waste opportunity why bother introducing a character if you're not going to do anything with them I mean you can still change what the movie did wrong

I probably have some idea Rarity to be shipping with and I know this is probably going to be a huge asking or whatever but I was thinking of her being with thunder Lane since he was the one who saved her back at the Wonderbolt Academy there was a couple of stories about those two maybe not a lot but it kind of makes sense but unfortunately in the show nothing just only that scene and that's it but I still think it should be interesting idea and for Fluttershy that one I still hasn't figured that out there are like potential characters like background characters who lives in Ponyville but I still haven't figured that out yet but anyway that's just my thought if not that's fine
