Writing Output Style · 8:40am Aug 23rd, 2023
Just in case it's not clear, I don't have editors or pre-readers or anything like that. So I am posting the chapters after I write them, with just the first pass review done.
As time goes on, I frequently re-read the older chapters to ensure I'm staying more or less on course. During these re-reads I will often correct errors or clarify text to make it a little more readable... so you can treat the initial posting as a rough draft which will be enhanced as time goes on.
After the story is complete, I'll re-read the entire thing a couple of times with some spacing in between, to make any corrections that make sense. Only after I've done that do I really consider it the output version.
In the past, my stories have been "reviewed" based on the draft copies. That's fine, of course, I don't have a timeline by which I say they are done. But do be aware of that.
Anyway, Night Reigns 2 is actually planned, which none of the earlier ones were. If the plan continues, it's only got 5-6 more chapters, although that may grow as the action starts to pick up (my gut says more like 10). It was always going to be much shorter than the first one, with a goal of actually being able to finish it, hehe. It hasn't got a lot of attention yet, but hopefully once I hit the action bits it'll catch a few more eyeballs.
Thanks to your eyeballs for the time invested! :)
