First Eros chapter launches tonight; second Eros chapter in prereads · 3:43pm Jul 13th, 2023
The first Eros chapter awaits one more completed preread and an additional editing pass before publishing. I’ll do the latter this evening after I get home from work, as the plan remains to launch it tonight at around 8 PM US Eastern. If I’m lucky, it will feature for the first time. I think the like/dislike ratio is good enough at this point.
The second chapter is with prereaders now, currently weighing in at 15.1k words. The length is up from the first chapter’s 10.5k words because it’s less clop and more movie/worldbuilding, meaning there’s a lot more chance for description and exposition. Not to say there’s no M-rated action in it—don’t worry, there definitely is—but this time it’s mostly secondary to the movie viewing and explanations, along with discussion of Tellusian analogs for various lands, peoples and beings. Best guess is that it will launch late this weekend, prereads permitting. Look for it Sunday morning or evening if all goes well.
After that, I’m shifting over to Midnight Rising to finish off the Griffon Kingdom arc, and then at long last do the Lemon Zest chapter. I’m not sure right now how I’m going to amp that up over the original version, which I actually liked. But don’t worry; I’ll think of something suitable for the most egregious offender of the Crystal Prep girls.
And even as I write that, I just thought of something.
