darkened, each window that I pass
silent my hoofsteps on the grass
leaving sleepers all far behind
this ritual that none will find
solstice finds me at come of dawn
dancing, prancing, on sylvan lawn
around the fire, I shimmy, sway
I rear and curvet, paw and neigh
rose petals spread around the flame
and flowers wove into my mane
skyclad beneath the fading night
welcome the longest day’s bright light
