Just a friendly Autistic writer who overthinks the adventures of characters. I do story commissions! Current focus: Equestria Girls. Respects G5's existence (somebrony has to!).

    Birthday Fun!

For my birthday (April 25th), I played some games, got plenty of birthday wishes from friends and family, and finished writing the newest Spring Surprises chapter! I just need to put it through a spelling/grammar pass before posting it.

Work was pretty quiet today, which gave me time to relax! Talk about timing, am I right? :raritywink:

    A Word from Makaryo

To add to his point: There are people who genuinely do not like G4, G5, etc. That is utterly harmless and fine overall. Yet, some of those folks get bullied over their dislike for such things, just as there are people who get bullied over them liking G4, G5, etc.

Bullying people over a difference of opinion is just not right.

Happy Birthday, Equestria Girls! · 4:06pm Jun 16th, 2023

Ten years ago, a spin-off of an astronomically popular My Little Pony cartoon was debuted in the form of a movie.

After multiple movies, shorts, specials, choose-your-own-adventures, and one certain divisive comic with a nebulous place in the timeline at best, it's clear that Equestria Girls was given a ton of love from the folks behind it. Don't even get me started on the love it was given by the fandom!

Between artwork, comics, song covers, animations, fandubs, and lots and lots of fanfiction, how can anyone doubt that this show is still loved by many?!

Let's be real: Equestria Girls was built to be a spin-off of FiM and not a mainline show. No shame in that of course, as that allowed it to be its own awesome beast. It also had its problems from time to time. Ex: That comic I mentioned above, Rarity's fashion disaster during Legend of Everfree, etc. But hey, we've never truly seen a perfect cartoon, have we? Besides, the faults of the show don't buck up the overall quality. At least for me, that is!

We're not getting Season 3 or a proper ending any time soon. Hasbro has made its creatives' hands full with G5 as it is. I'm a hopeful guy, though. It's kinda my thing.

Happy Birthday, Equestria Girls!

Here's the now completed story I wrote for the occasion: What Mistakes Tell Us

I hope you all enjoy it!

Now, I want to hear from you bronies, pegasus sisters, and so forth about the things you enjoy about Equestria Girls!

I, myself, enjoy the stories, animation, character moments, the freaking MUSIC, and... yeah, you get the idea! :twilightblush:

I also enjoyed the choose-your-own-adventure shorts they had done for Netflix (They are on YouTube with all of endings these days). They kinda mess with canon a bit, but hey, you can choose what's canon from them!
