Update on current situation: Yes, I'm still alive! · 9:20pm May 18th, 2023
Hey everyone, it's been a while, huh? So...elephant in the room, the next chapter of Digimon continues to remain on the back burner. I'd like to blame it on my job hunt and studying for the SIE exam, but...there was also a sizeable bit of good old-fashioned procrastination involved.
So, when all was said and done, I didn't do any better on my second attempt at the SIE exam, but I also didn't do any worse either, so...there's something, I suppose. Afterward, I decided to bite the bullet and get another job at a grocery store in the interest of getting some more income in addition to my tutoring work.
On the plus side, though, I am (finally) getting back into writing! I managed to get a spot in an online content writing class and am building a portfolio on the technology news website, Hackernoon. I'll mostly be posting articles related to gaming, video game reviews, and game development news, that sort of thing, as well as other topics depending on what assignment I'm working on. So, in short, Digimon is still going to have to remain on hiatus for the time being. I wish I could give a definitive answer as to when I'll be able to get back into the fanfiction scene, but my weekly schedule is already pretty packed. I want to be clear again: I am not abandoning this project yet. Real life just keeps taking priority, as it should. I hate to make excuses, but this class I'm taking could get me the experience I need to give me an edge in my hunt for a job that actually lets me apply my writing skills. I'm just glad to finally get back into writing and publishing things again.
I am so grateful to those who are sticking around long enough to bother reading this. I'm sorry to those who believe my Digimon story is dead or dying (I already had one user place this fic in a shelf labeled "Graveyard" 
). It's worth noting that I've had a few other ideas for short stories swimming around in my head. If I don't end up publishing a chapter for Digimon, it may be for something new. Just a thought. Anyway, whatever happens next, and whenever it happens, I hope to see you all there. Enjoy your summer breaks!
