    Thank You

So my latest short, "More Than An Alicorn", got featured for like 2 whole days. I'm not sure I've ever been featured before so BIG thank you to everyone who enjoyed the story. I honestly did not expect it to do so well. Not that I didn't put any care into the short, it's just that I had originally intended it to be another flash fic for my current anthology collection. Which, if you're not

    My Brother is Dying

To be fair, we all sort of knew this was coming. My brother started dialysis about 2 years ago because he has kidney failure and, for reasons I won't go into here, he is simply not eligible for a transplant. Once you start dialysis you're expected to live about 10 to 15 years. If you're lucky. So we all thought he had around another 10.

    Another Reference Image?

Apparently some people really liked seeing one of my thrown together reference images. So, for the heck of it, here's the next one.

When You Slowly Lose Your Mind

You know, as an writer of stories where the relative sizes of characters is important, I often slap together reference images to help me. Without them it can be hard to visualize what is even possible in the story. They are also crucial when maintaining a consistent and realistic description of events and actions.

    City in Her Chair Rewrite

I almost doubled the word count so it is no longer just a bloated flash fic. It is now a proper short story with a much better flow! I added a lot of detail to the city, had Green tease them much more (including a short booty dance), and in general slowed the pace of the action way down. This time it is a FAR more exciting story and definitely worth reading if you haven't already or were a

A Lengthy Update that Didn't Need to Be · 4:07am May 12th, 2023

The TLDR:

I've spent the last 2+ weeks editing and making new covers for some of my older works. Will be returning to current projects now. For the most part.

The long gist:

So I recently got some advice, or criticism, depending on how you look at. I was told that a smart creator spreads out. Puts his work on a number of websites. See, content consumers have a tendency to find and pick a site and stay there. Branching out is the job of the creators. I myself know I don't really want to use a bunch of different sites, but I also know the frustration of trying to find a certain kind of work and simply not being able to.

So I decided to spread out a little. For my followers on furaffinity and fimfiction this shouldn't mean much, but I decided to take my Sofurry account seriously and get it up-to-date and I've finally made an Inkbunny account where I'll also be posting my stuff from now on. I'm not so sure about Twitter though. All I can see myself doing there is tweeting "I have posted X story!!" Like, anyone following me on any of these sites (fimfiction, furaffinity, sofurry, and inkbunny) is already going to know that. Seems pointless to me. I've always hated Twitter though so maybe I'm just biased against seeing the benefits of using it.

Yeah I know. Who cares, right?

While I was going about uploading my old content though, I decided to do a little bit of editing too. Nothing major, just grammar fixes and maybe some sentence restructures. If you haven't read "The Victorious, the Gentle, and the Tiny" before I would highly recommended it now. That fic got some pretty big fixes. Not like story changing fixes, but there was a good amount errors that needed to be cleaned up.

Also discovered that I've lost a couple of my old covers. Like VGT and Rarity's Secret Playground. It's not like those original covers were important or anything, but I put work into those things. Where did they go? Oh well. So I made some new and arguably better covers for them. Check those out if you care I guess.

Also made a very symbolic cover for "Big Mares Don't Need You" which I am super proud of. Not that it's a complicated piece of art, but... for someone like me who sucks at making art, I think I made something actually thought provoking.

Oh, and my upstairs apartment neighbor died last week. I so did not need that dark cloud hanging over my head. It's not like I knew her that well or anything, but she was friendly the few times we crossed paths. Death can strike you at any time ladies and gentlemen. Stay healthy out there!
