EqG:StH2 - Story Update #5 - Release Date · 3:59pm Mar 30th, 2023
Yeah, good news everypony! I'm pretty much done writing the first two chapters of Equestria Girls: Sonic the Hedgehog sequel! 
The bad news... they won't be out this weekend. 
Now I know you all might be wondering why I'm not posting the first two chapters this weekend, even though they're done.
Well...
...that's why! 
Look, I have nothing against this day, I usually have a good sense of humor. But when browsing online during April Fools, especially on this website, it can be a pain and annoying, especially when some users trick their followers to believe that there is a new chapter of a story that they've been waiting for months... only it turns out to be a fake and it was filled with nothing but nuisance. 
Granted, that particular prank by itself is no big deal, but when everyone does it at once, it can get tiring real fast! 
Of course, I would never mislead anyone like that, even if it is harmless, but I don't want anyone to think I'm pranking everyone, despite that the chapters I'm posting are real. So I decided to wait and post the first two chapters of the Sonic sequel next weekend instead, which will be on April 8th.
So be sure to mark your calendars everyone! 
And bear in mind, only the first two chapters are finished. After they are posted, the next chapters won't be out until they are ready. And when they're ready, they will be posted on Saturdays as before.

I’m still working on my first story but saved my ideas for the sequel so that it doesn’t get lost, but I’m still doing my best.

Yeah. Holding off a week so that the potential readers DON'T think it was an April Fool's prank is a good call. Besides, it will give you a bit more time to look things over and/or get a head start on the third chapter.
