Bad Dragon thinks quite eloquently, you just have to separate what is a joke, what sarcasm meant to point the flaw in what you're saying/doing, and what is a contradiction to illuminate your argument from a different direction
Bad Dragon isn't so unyielding. I find his stances to be quite unusual, at times, but he will gladly fold his cards and concede when met with logic that he can not contend with. He will only continue to argue for so long as he feels that he actually has an argument. This is far more than what I can say about those who are more bound to emotion in a debate.
It might feel as if one is talking to a brick wall, because he's pretty damn good at maintaining his own arguments, but I can testify from experience that this endeavor is not futile. This is not a guy who's interested in continuing an argument after he feels he's been beat. I've met plenty of people who are just the sort, but I wouldn't count him among them.

The dude actually said that if the US opened its borders, it would stop illegal immigrantion. That's like saying we solve the drug war by legalizing all drugs. Or that there won't be any more murder convictions if murder becomes legal.
He has actually said that (the drugs, not the murders), he also said that legalizing child labor would stop poverty and that we are under a tyranny because it's mandatory to go outside with clothes. I don't remember where is that thread but it was amazing as almost all the users in this group united in stating how bonkers he is.

Bad Dragon, despite being extremely upfront and shameless, has always promoted his own view: it's your life, you can find the faults, you can work on fixing them, you should find your own happiness instead waiting and hoping it will be delivered to you like a pizza at home. after our 'little' chat about religion and afterlife two years ago, Bad Dragon actually did make some change in my mind. As a believer, I was scared of suicide and hell and whatnot... and now? The idea that instead of hell/heaven, there may be nice oblivion doesn't seem scary anymore, it seems comforting... very comforting. So comforting in fact, that I recently bought myself tools needed to do the job when the time comes, and looking on how things are going, this may be sooner then I have planned.
My religion was holding me back, and preventing me from even thinking about it 'for real,' but now I don't give a damn. My mindset has changed from 'Try to have a good life here because it'll earn you a nice afterlife,' to 'What's the fucking point if we're all dead anyway? All this struggle for nothing? Might as well go into that oblivion, ahead of schedule...'
