President's Day Midnight Rising update... · 9:42pm Feb 20th, 2023
The nice thing about working for a bank is bank holidays, of which President’s Day is one. So I’m off today, and I figured I’d give folks an overdue update on the new chapter of Midnight Rising.
Short answer—it’s about 60% done at this point, sitting at over 7500 words and likely on its way to at least 13,000. Earlier in the story I would have considered 7500 a full chapter, but by now, we’re well into later stages of the story, so the chapter size increases along with the general insanity level. Each chapter is an attempt at one-upping the last, which gets harder and harder the deeper we go into this. So for this one, we’re going with a set of fetishes I haven’t truly used previously, though I suppose some might say the big statues outside the Hall of Heroes counted:
Macro. More precisely, big adult dragons x regular-sized griffons, with everything that entails short of death or crush fetishes—I don’t do those, and this isn’t that kind of story, needless to say. Instead, you’ll get living condoms, an interesting form of incest, tons of cum and some surprising effects of it. You’ll also see glimpses of what’s happening elsewhere and see a surprising turnabout in griffon fortunes as Queen Molyneux puts her wing down, hard.
The sex is wild and crazy, and yet, that’s not all there is here. Aside from continuing to set up something for the climax of Nightmare Night—when you read it, pay close attention to what Middie is saying in the chapter, folks—I’m also going to engage in a little worldbuilding and character development even as the action occurs, giving a surprising griffon/dragon history lesson along the way. Let’s just say for now that our Dragon Lord has a surprising connection to the Firefly era that complicates things just a bit.
As for a release date, I’ll try to have it out before the month’s end, which means it has to be draft complete by Friday so prereaders have sufficient time to hit it. The main issue in doing these chapters is that I tend not to be able to write that much at a time, for reasons I’m sure everyone can guess. Nevertheless, I’ll do my best. And after that, a new chapter of Feathered Hearts - Eros will be written next to mark it getting 150 likes.
And once that’s done? I’ll do one more chapter of Feathered Hearts - Continuation and Chronicles before I finally restart work on my long-neglected anthro novel. So expect a much slower pace of new works following as I try to jumpstart things there, though I won’t cease them completely. I imagine I’ll need a break from it now and again, and C&C will probably be that break for the most part.

I was reading a Prototype fic and realised a possibilitty of an entire alternate branch of Dragon world building that was so dark it would barely be possible to allude to it here, but exists because of things like Sea Cucumbers, Lobsters, Hydra and why Spike is the size he is, because of how badly Twilight treated him while young.
This Griffon, Dragon interaction though sounds like one of the Gabby varients Ive seen with a coulpe other stories, crossed with a certain CoC game with magical egglaying Harpies?

Well, this is definitely a dark story of a type, but not in that sense. We’re using my own worldbuilding here.
I have my own ideas about that.
Though in terms of CoC, I guess you could say that the Corruption of Champions is definitely involved here, on both sides.

Seen the recent article on Naked Mole Rats? Apparently any female, if only surrounded by males, can upgrade to Queen, and her ovaries can ramp up to spewing out All the Hives new eggs. Thats going to be so much fin coding into the game engine. And thats even before any form of tech/magic modification or demonic abuse.
