They're asking for greeting cards from around the world. They have a map up and everything to highlight where the cards are from. Estee said it best: "Greeting cards and postcards make her happy. Contact. A reminder that the world exists, and parts of it aren't quite so cruel."
She may not make it to next year, and even if she does, it will take a miracle for her to finish that one. Still, her family's doing their best to cheer her up; all Delaney knows for now is that "she's in the hospital because of the 'owies' in her head."
