YEEEEEES!!!! MORE AWESOME GENETICS NEWS!!!!!!! · 1:37am Nov 7th, 2022
Consider this blog a sequel to this one.
I'm FINALLY able to do full squats and deadlifts on both legs through a relatively full range of motion, no inflammation, and very minimal pain. Meaning, I can finally get a gym membership for the first time since 2014!!!!!
Over 8 fucking years haha.
The bad part is that I love the convenience of training inside my own home. However, the weights are already getting annoying with dumbbells. For example, on stiff leg deadlifts I'm doing 335lbs, so that's two 167.5lbs dumbbells. The only way to get to that weight is using these big weight plates which clash into each other, making the process an abomination lol. Like, the plates getting in each other's way is so much harder than the weight itself haha.
Also, as much as I want to jump into the deep end of the pool... I'm gonna progress slowly with the actual gym barbell. For example, reduce my stiff leg deadlift from 335lbs with dumbbells at home to like 185lbs or 170lbs with a bar in the gym. As for squats... I can do 200lbs split squats on each leg. But just to be safe, I'll start with 135lbs front squats in the gym. Basically, I'm gonna purposely embarrass myself for the first 6 months just to be cautious
Also, the shoulders are feeling even better compared to my last blog post!!!
I agree with your cautiousness. Don't want to ruin your progress. Also give your body time to rest and adjust? Yes?
Hmm, anyway... good to see you are doing well mate! Keep up the good work(out)!

Thanks, dude!
And yeah, better to be cautious since 6 months is nothing in the grand scheme of things. Besides, I'm still so far away from my goals with squats and deadlifts that 6 months doesn't matter anyway.

You will get there, I'm sure of it. You made it this far!
