Jinglemas is the annual tradition on Fimfiction to exchange stories around the holidays with users on the site. This single event allows all Fimfiction users to come together and celebrate the reason for the season. Ponies!
Enroll in this Secret-Santa-style gift exchange to request a holiday themed story, to be written secretly by another participant during the month of December. And in turn, you will be tasked with writing someone else's request. Then all the stories will be exchanged at Christmas! Simplicity itself! Thanks to the hard work of the Breezies, everyone will be ensured to get their gift!

I have a message for you.
Please, don't start Karen-ing about commercialisation; there is a reason why Jinglemas starts so early and that reason has nothing to do with scamming you all so that you're hopelessly broke by January.
Jinglemas is amazing. It's free. It's huge. It's an event that takes literally two whole months to organise. We know it's early, but the wonderful organisers of this event have so much work to do, so they have no choice BUT to start early. Writing those comments about it being too early is just plain rude.
Your comment is not the first of its kind, let me assure you. Most likely, it will not be the last. We know, it's early. It's hard to get in the festive spirit. But you don't need to be in the festive spirit to sign up for an event to write a wholesome little story as a gift for a stranger. You don't need to be in the festive spirit to allow others to sign up for it and to safely ignore this post instead of writing unhelpful comments that all of us have heard before. You don't have to be in the festive spirit or write a Jinglemas story until the 25th of November, when the prompts are all given out, and that's only a month away from Christmas Day! Relax, people. You don't have to worry about Christmas yet. That's for Shakespearicles and Co to sort out.

I apologise for ranting; I'm just so used to people writing those sorts of comments and not fully taking into account all of the hard work that goes into our little annual tradition. I appreciate your passion, and I understand it. Honestly I have no problems with any holiday traditions as long as they don't become harmful. The usual statement given when people are accused of christmassing too early is, "let people enjoy what they enjoy", and there were features of it in your comment as well. Once again, I understand that. So I'm just sharing what I enjoy. I'm not done celebrating Halloween yet, so enjoy my Halloween tunes. You have a great November as well.

I’ve never participated in this event before, but am contemplating it now. But before I make any decision I need to ask something. My current job will certainly be requiring many extra hours to keep up with holiday shopping frenzies and leave me drained. Would Jinglemas be feasible?
