Strange Beginnings

Its hard to make friends, especially when everyone thinks you're a loser. My name's Seethe.(Ya, I know that's already one reason why I don't have friends. I got used to it though since my parents never changed it.) I have light brown hair, lighter brown eyes, and am essentially a normal kid...well to me at least. Eveyone else thinks im a freak. Seriously, I'm not bad, I just suck at everything. Sports: horrible. Schoolwork: awful (Dont get me wrong. I'm smart, just lazy). Trying to make friends: forget about it.
You think thats bad, wait till you hear what happened next. When people found out I was a brony, it was if I was a lab experiment gone wrong to them. "What? You watch that little girls show?!" "You Freak!" The list goes on and on. The sad thing is, I never told them. I never went out, saying 'Hey im a brony lets all be firends!' I tried to keep it a secret. Unfortunatly, Steve wasnt very helpful. I thought he was the closest thing to a friend that I had, and I even told him about it because I trusted him so much. Turns out, he was just there so he can make my life a living hell. It's sad to see so many people going out of their way just to bully me now. I can't get any help from people. Teachers just say "Seethe, they're just getting used to you. Give it time." Ya, time to find a way to kill me when your not looking. Parents? They've gone on a long holiday, as in the whole school year. They said it was to get a vacation from work, but I really think it's to get away from me.
- - -
Whats that? You want to know more about my brony side? In short form, I found it while surfing the web, thought it be funny, and it turns out it's actually pretty good. Enough of that right now, this story is about to get weird.
After the daily spit wads and other unmetionables thrown at me during a normal school day, and the talks with teachers for missing work, I get home one Thursday to just relax and get away from all that noise. I looked at my watch to see the time, 3:46pm. "Damn, nothing good on T.V. right now...guess I'll go clean up and get this junk off me." Right when I got to the top of the stairs and go into my room for the rest of the day, my door bell rings. "What's that? Nothing normally comes at this hour...I really hope its not a prank from the guys at school. I am not in the mood right now." It's happened before, sad to say. The usual insults or eggs thrown at me. However, what I was not expecting was a girl standing there looking really confused. I was even surprised to see that she was there, ringing my door bell.
"Um...Hi." She said in a very nervous voice, like I was some type of intimidating bodyguard.
I cocked an eyebrow, gazing down upon her. "Sup....you looking for someone, or something?" She stood there for a minute, as if trying to think what to say and how to say it. I waited patiently. Normally, I would've closed the door and said good day, but she seemed familiar.
Finally, she spoke. "I seem to be a bit lost. One moment I was with my friends, and the next I was here. I'm starting to get a little worried."
Maybe it was me trying to be a nice guy, but I somehow bought that story. "You want to use my phone? Call someone you know?"
She shook her head. "N-no its just, I dont know if it will reach them."
"They live far?"
"No, no,no,no!" She stamped her foot into the ground in frustration. "It's just to complicated to explain!"
I nearly jumped back. Never had I seen someone so frustrated over a phone. "Jeez, if your going to be like that then forget about it, ok?"
I was a few seconds away from closing the door on her and forgetting the whole thing, when she quickly called out. "I need your help!"
I stopped the door inches from her face.
"Oh, thank Celestia!"
I opened the door so fast, it slammed into the wall. "What did you just say?"
"Um....thank Celestia? Do you know her?" She raised an eyebrow.
I narrowed my eyes, glaring at her. "Listen, I'm sick and tired of you people making fun of me! I dont care if its fun, or good. or whatever! Just stop right now or I swear I will-" In my moment of rage and venting, I saw her fearful reaction. Her eyes were wide, pupils were small, her knees looked like they were going to buckle, and I thought I saw a tear forming in the corner of her eye. I stopped myself, feeling horrible that I actually was about to go crazy on this person who I clearly didn't know. "Hey, I'm sorry. Im not usually like this...I've been having a bad day."
She seemed to calm down a bit, but still looked as if she was going to run any second.
"If you dont mind me asking, why did you say that?" I asked
"It's a saying. Im sorry if it upset you."
"It's fine. Would you like to come inside? We can talk about this trouble that you're in."
She managed a small smile. "Thank you."

Now your probly wondering why I'm letting a complete stranger into my house, blah blah blah. Well, she seemed innocent enough to not steal anything or kill me, and she looked scared. That's good enough for me. I got her to sit in the kitchen and went into my fridge. "You want something to drink?"
"Water would be nice." I poured her a glass and went to sit down. Passing it, I managed to get a better look at her. She had long purple hair with a pink hi-light running down the middle. She had a backpack with some books inside, so I just assumed she was a student at my highschool. What caught my attention was her earrings. They were some type of star, but it looked so familiar.
"So, my name is Seethe." I told her my name to see if she would know me, expecting some sort of reaction. I do have a reputaion at school, as I've already mentioned.
Fortunatly, she didnt. She looked right at me with what could only be described as kindness. "Hey Seethe, I'm Twilight. Twilight Sparkle."
Another nerve was struck. "What? Twilight?" She nodded, looking sad. "Yep. I guess its weird to you, huh? Everypony else here laughed when I told them, thinking it was made up or something."
"Well, it's not what I had in mind." I said trying not to get upset.
Before I could ask her about where she came from, she began asking questions of her own. "Seethe? You know you have stuff in your ma-...hair, right?"
Embaresed, I start scratching my head, trying to get all the stuff off me. "Damn" I wispered to myself. How could I forget that?
She gave me an innocent smile, like this was something she saw but waited to see if I'd notice. I smirked back. "So, where is everyone else? Are they out?" Twilight said, looking around to see if someone else was standing around.
"That's none of your buisness." I said a little to harshly. That subject was always touchy for me. Who wanted to know their parents left because you were too annoying to be around.
She nodded looking away. "I see that I've caught you while your in a bad mood..."
I started to laugh. "Actually, this is my good side..."
We sat there in silence for a few minutes. Finally, I spoke. "Twilight, where are you from? Out of town? In town? Some made up universe?"
That last question took her by surprise."Made up? What are you taking about? I'm from Equestria! To be more precise, Ponyville!" I facepalmed.
Trying to look at her between my fingers, I asked another question. "Why are you here?"
"Well...something happened back at home...something bad..." She looked lost in though, trying to rememeber something. "I...I'm not..sure what..."
Sudenly tears began streaming down her cheeks. Taking my hand away from my head, I was surprised. "Hey, are you alright?"
She nodded, but she was still crying. "I'm sorry, I'm just really worried about my friends. Dash and A.J. would probly be alright, but the others...I can't imagine them lost in this world by themselves." She put her head in her hands, crying harder. "This world is so diffrent then my world, with so many mean people. Before I got here, there were people saying such harsh words. The teasing and everything else is so bad! I feel so out of place and, worse of all, I'm not....me. I look like you....why did this happen? What's going on?!"
I felt really bad for her. Someone else that felt out of place, made fun of, and completly lost. I kinda saw myself in her. I got up, and walked beside her. Putting my hand on her shoulder, I tried to comfort her. "Hey, its ok. Listen, if you want, I'll help."
She looked up at me, tears still flowing down her face. "Really? Even though you just met me today, you're willing to help?"
I smiled. "Ya, why not. You look like you need some help right now."
I don't know if she was relieved, or just needed something to hold, but she hugged me. Surprised and blushing, I patted her back.

A few minutes later, we were back sitting down at the kitchen table. "Where do you think we should look?" Twilight said.
"Well, this town isnt that big. Assuming you guys stayed in the same general place, it won't be long until we find them."
She smiled. "That's good to hear. Why don't we go now?"
I gazed down at my watch which read 7:59pm. "Its too late to go out now. Hopefully we'll find them tommorow."
Twilight looked at the sun setting outside. "What moves your sun and moon? Magic?"
I looked at the sun. "Well, actually our planet is in orbit around the sun. With its axis turning, it looks like the sun is moving when actually its the earth that's spinning." When I looked back, I cracked a smile. She had the most quizical look I've ever seen. She was trying to process everything I said. "Um..yes its magic." I quickly added. Rememebring what I had said earlier, I looked over to her. "Hey Twilight, you have a place to stay?"
She shook her head. "I haven't looked yet. Should probly go and find one, right?"
"Well..." I looked at the stairs leading to the upper floor. "I have some free space, and no one else is here. If you want you can stay here till you find a way back home..."
A look of relief washed over her face upon the mention of shelter. "Really? I dont want to be a bother."
"Aw, c'mon. If anything your going to be the only thing not bothering me."
"Ok then, I'll stay here."

When the moon came up and everything was dark outside, I showed her where she would be sleeping. "This used to be a guest room, whenever company came over, or some family. Then some stuff happened."
Twilight started feeling the bed to see if it was comfortable. Satisfied, she jumped onto the bed and relaxed. "This will be perfect. Thank you, Seethe." I nodded.
"Well, if your all set, we should probly get some rest. I'm going to check the school tommorow to see if any of your friends are there." She looked at me with concern. "Why are you going by yourself? Can't I come along?"
"Well, I didn't know if you wanted to go to the school. There are some...interesting charactrers there."
She gave me a stare. "Im coming tommorow. Besides, I get to see all of your friends while were looking for mine."
I looked away, feeling a bit pained. I hadn't mention to her that I had no friends, no one for any type of support at all. She noticed that I wasn't feeling good. "Seethe?"
"We should get some rest. Sleep well." I closed the light in her room, and walked into mine. I hadn't felt this bad since Steve betrayed my trust. Lying there in my bed, I was beginning to think that this all might've been a dream. Maybe I've gone delusional, or insane. Perhaps I was actually dead, and now I have a chance to make friends after all. I closed my eyes and prepared for the worst.

Bad School Day

(First of all, I want to thak all of you for reading my first chapter, and waiting to read this one. I also want to thank Therizzen and Skwoogle for editing my chapter, you guys were very helpful and awsome. Beaware, there is swearing in this. And now, please read on.)

Dreams I usually have are about My Little Pony, so I was not surprised that tonight I was having a dream about it. But this was different. It was more scattered, like only parts of a movie were working and you have no idea what was happening. I saw the main six, and it looked like they were all staring at something, but I couldn't see who or what it was. Suddenly, a blinding light appeared behind them. I blinked, and I was back in my room.

It was morning, about 7:30am (My alarm went off and is now pissing me off). Friday mornings were the worst for me, never could wait for the end of the school day, thus making it longer. I turned off my alarm, slowly got out of bed, and stretched. I was blinking hard, trying to get a less blurred vision. I walked out of my room and went straight into the bathroom to brush my teeth. (What’s that? You don’t want to know my morning schedule? Fine be like that). After I got dressed and all that other stuff, I was going to the kitchen to grab something to eat, when I was stopped.

"What was that annoying ringing sound?!"

Twilight looked like she had just gotten up. Her hair was a rat’s nest, her eyes were half opened, and she was leaning against her bedroom door so she wouldn’t fall to the ground. I smiled, not only because it was kind of funny to see her like this, but also because of the fact that I wasn’t dreaming about yesterday.

"Sorry, that was my alarm. If you’re still serious about coming with me to school, you better get ready then."

She looked like she would punch me out, but instead she grumbled something about it being too early and went back into her room.

A little while later she went downstairs and saw me waiting by the front door. She changed from her last outfit (which was a purple dress) into a purple blouse and black jeans. I was confused as to where she got that outfit, maybe it was inside her bag. I also wondered how they fit a human, and why they were purple. I took that out of my head, too many questions.

"I was two seconds from going upstairs to see what was taking you so long," I said, cracking a smile.

"Ha-ha lets go already."

- - -

We were half way to school and we were both walking in silence. I had never walked to school with someone else before, and she had never walked with a human before. A few more feet and one of us finally spoke.

"So Seethe, why were you so sad when I asked about your friends?"

I was hoping to avoid this conversation, but she was going to find out anyways.

"Um...Twilight, I was like that because...I don’t have any."

She looked at me with a concern, and that made me feel bad.

"You don’t have any friends? How is that possible? Are you nervous or something?"

"It’s more complicated than that...people say I’m a freak, that I’m really different from others and it bugs them. No one ever goes near me, and the ones that do usually bully me."

She put her hand on my shoulder. "That’s horrible, what about your family, don’t they help you?"

"They left for the same reason."

The look in her eyes told me she understood why I was so upset over my family and friends yesterday.

"I’m so sorry to hear that. It must be hard for you living like this," she said in a sad tone. You have no idea, I said in my head.

"Well, it was troubling for a while. Thinking about it now, I realize that I wouldn’t be who I am if I wasn’t in this situation. I mean, I’d be another jerk you met instead of trying to help you out."
She smiled. It never felt so good talking about my problems before, especially to someone who listened and felt bad for me. I looked ahead.

"Here we are William High School, where people you'll meet are not as nice as they say they are."

She laughed for a bit, and then looked at the school. "I hope one of my friends is here."

I looked back at her. She looked really worried, and I understood why. When she first came into this world she met some very nasty people, and this school is filled with them.

I patted her head. "C'mon Twi, you’r going to see them again. I’m sure they are fine."
She nodded but still looked worried. "We better get going," I said. "Schools going to start soon."

- - -

Now about my school. It’s almost like every other high schools, except with one major difference. Kids should go to class, but if they skip, there are no penalties as long as they stay within school grounds, and don’t hurt each other. I never really 'skipped' class, but today I was going to for Twilight’s sake. Unfortunately, that means me meeting all the bullies early today. In the hallways it was packed with students. We barley had enough room to squeeze through the crowds. We finally got in a Hallway that had next to no one in it. It might seem strange to some that one is packed while the other is empty, but some kids like certain areas I guess. When we were alone I looked at Twilight. She was on the verge of panicking. Multiple times I had to grab her arm so I wouldn’t lose her in the crowds, and a couple other times I had to pull her close when kids were running by.

"You’re alright Twilight, just shaken up. This school does that when you first enter."

"It’s so crazy in here, I can’t understand how people get from place to place without getting hurt."

"Trust me, they do get hurt." I noticed something with Twilight that I never really considered before.

"Hey, what happened to your horn?"

She instinctively reached for her head, and felt around, like she just noticed it was gone.

"What? My horn is gone?! I don’t understand what-!” She looked at me, and I felt like I said something I shouldn’t have said.

"Wait, how did you know I had a horn?"

Damn, how could I have been so stupid and say that! I can’t say that I know from that T.V. show, she will think I’m crazy! But what else do I say, there is no recovery from something like that! Luckily (or unluckily in my case) I ran into the worst bully of them all, Steve. You remember him right? The guy that pretended to be my friend and then he turned on me? After that, he gained so much popularity points that he is now what everyone calls 'Mr. Cool kid'. I walked right into him.

"Oh, sorry," I said, trying to get around. He grabbed my arm and pulled me back in front of him.

"Well look who it is? And he’s skipping class today to. You probably think you’re cool now, huh?"

I rolled my eyes. "Yeah, nice seeing you too Steve."

Steve was at least a foot taller than me, so I had to look up at him. He had Black spiked hair and dark blue eyes. He had this permanent smirk on his face that always creeped me out. None of the other guys at school bully me as much as this guy. If he gets a chance to do something bad, he'll do it, even if he gets in trouble. He looked down at me.

"Be ready for gyms today, we’re doing laps around the football field, and I’ll make sure you fall on your face."

I stared back. Running was never a problem for me since I’ve gotten faster at running away. Before he left he noticed Twilight standing behind me. He gave her a deformed smile which he thought was friendly I guess, but it only looked creepier.

"Who is this?" He stepped towards her, probably to get a better look at her, but I stayed in front of him, holding my arms out in front of Twilight.

"Ha, look at you trying to protect your little friend here. “

I would never challenge him to a fight, he would kill me. But imagining him trying to bully, or in fact hurt Twilight got my blood pumping.

"You leave her alone," I said in a voice that didn’t sound like me at all. That was a mistake. He punched me right in the side of the head. Then he grabbed me while I was disoriented and walked me towards a locker.

"Ah crap," I said.

I tried to pull away, but his grip was like iron, and he wouldn’t let go. He opened a locker, threw me into it and then shut it in my face, causing another injury.

"See you at gym freak!" He walked off laughing.

Through the openings of the locker I saw Twilight. She looked worried, like I was dead or something.

"Seethe? Hey Seethe?"

"Yeah, I’m ok...just bleeding a bit." She opened the locker and held out her hand to help me out.

"Thanks, but I’ll be ok." I wiggled my way out and then felt my cheek, defiantly bruised. My nose was now bleeding from the locker door.

"Well Twilight, you just met Steve the enforcer. Make sure you stay away from him."

She tried to smile, but she kept looking at my nose.

"Yeah I should go clean this up now." Before we left, we both jumped when a voice came out of the locker beside the one I was in.

"Um, hello? Is someone out there?"

When we calmed down, we looked at each other. After our silent argument of 'you open it, no you open it' I decided to open the locker, only to see a girl fall out of it, hitting the floor.

"Aw crap, I’m so sorry." I tired to help her up, but she moved away from me, as if she was afraid of me.

"Hey, whats wrong?" She wouldn’t answer me; she just looked at me, terrified.

Twilight widened her eyes.

"Fluttershy?"

The girl looked at Twilight and her terror turned into relief.

"Twilight!" She jumped at Twilight, giving her a huge hug. "Twilight, thank Celestia you found me, I was so worried no one would find me in that...metal box."

I looked at Fluttershy; she had that familiar pink hair that went down one side of her head, eyes that seemed to emanate kindness, and had earrings the same shape of her cutie mark, three butterflies. After Fluttershy gave room for her to breath, Twilight spoke.

"Fluttershy, I’m so glad you’re ok! I was really worried about you."

"Yes, it was pretty scary, especially when all these ponies are teasing me. They put me in that box and I was so scared."

“How did you get here?” Twilight asked

“I was following some birds that I thought were helping me, but they were going back to their nest on top of the school. I was trying to get their attention, but then some ponies came and started teasing me. They were calling me names, and before I knew it, they put me in that box.”

It occurred to me that she was calling people ‘ponies’. I guess they are use to their way of talking.

"Did you see any of the others?" Twilight said, looking really exited.

"No, I mostly stayed in the park, where the animals were. They weren’t as nice as Angel or any of the other animals back in Ponyville."

Twilight looked disappointed. She was probably hoping to find her friends all together. I moved towards her.

"Twilight, don’t worry, we'll find the others soon."

Fluttershy seemed to remember me and hid behind Twilight.

"Fluttershy, it’s ok this is Seethe, he’s trying to help me find everyone," Twilight said as she was pushing Fluttershy towards me. She looked like she would pass out from terror, but for Twilight's sake she tried to act brave.

"Um...h-hi I’m Fl-Fluttershy..." she said it so quietly I could barley hear her.

"Hi Fluttershy, as Twilight said I’m Seethe." I put out my hand to shake hands, but I guess she thought I was going to hit her because she cringed.

"Seethe, before you try to be friendly with her, maybe you should wash your face," Twilight said, smiling. Remembering the blood I nodded.

"Right."

In the boys bathroom I was washing the blood off my face. "Man, Steve will be the end of me," I said to myself. This isn’t the worst injury I got from him. The worst was probably when we were wrestling in gym, and he broke my arm when he 'accidentally' twisted it behind me. For some reason the teachers didn’t yell at him too much, and they sent me down to the office for the rest of the day. I looked at myself in the mirror, bruised cheek, bloody nose, dying inside. I turned to walk out and I bumped into another kid. I guess he was new because I never saw him before, and he actually talked to me.

"Sorry, didn’t mean to- just need to-" He quickly left for the nearest stall, and that gave me enough notice to leave fast. When I walked out, Twilight and Fluttershy were gone.

"You've got to be kidding me, where the hell did they go?"

Before I got the chance to go and look, I was grabbed from behind and hauled off. "Its second period Seethe, gym time!" Steve said. Of all the times that this could happen, this was the worst. I had no time to go and play 'run-for-my-life-from-the-maniac' but it looked like I had no choice. I looked at Steve with so much rage I wanted to hit him, even if it meant me dying a second later.

- - -

Outside, where the football field was, our class was ready for the stupidest race ever. Our gym teacher set up the races. Four kids racing each other at a time. Unfortunately, Steve acted like the ‘little angel’ that the was and got me and him racing together. As the last of the other guys crossed the finish line, it was our turn.

"Ok good race. Now I want Steve-" A loud cheer came from the other kids. See what I mean by 'Mr. Cool kid'?

"Alright calm down, I also want Seethe-" Now you can guess that I got the same reaction right? Wrong. The complete opposite. I took no care to it, I was used to it by now.

"Calm down I said! Third I want Sid..." It was the kid I bumped into in the bathroom. He had black hair, with a steak of grey in it, like stress was getting to him. He stood there looking cheerful, like this would be the best race ever.

"And last I want...." He looked at his list of students.

"Not a male, lets change it up with a female.... Clair...no, Samantha...no, Rebecca...ok, Rebecca your up." She had a toque on her head, covering her hair, but I saw a tuft of blonde sticking out. She had brown eyes like mine. She saw me looking at her and she glared at me.

"Ok lets have a nice race here, no cutting each other off, no hitting each other, and for goodness sake no throwing rocks at each other."

We all got ready on the race track. From left to right it was Sid, Steve, Me, and Rebecca. The only one that looked happy was Sid. I found it funny, but I had to keep my eyes on Steve, I knew he had something nasty up his sleeve. I looked over at Rebecca and she kept looking at me, like I was something she stepped on that stuck to her shoe. I glared back, if anything I would not lose to a girl.

I wasn’t paying attention because when the teacher said go, I was the last to leave the starting line. Steve tried to stay with me, to do his evil plan. Sid was trying to keep an even speed, just acting so happy. Rebecca was ahead, no one to challenge her. I looked at Steve who was now inching himself a little closer to me. I was trying to keep my distance. He started shoving me, trying to trip me, doing everything he could to make me fall. I looked over at the teacher, who was telling some other students something. Great time to not watch the race!

I looked up ahead, Sid was slowing down, I guess he got tired. Rebecca was still a few meters ahead, if I got past Steve I could catch up to her. Fortunately I didn’t have to do anything, on the first turn, Steve wasn’t watching the track so he collided into Sid and they both crashed off the course. I waved at Steve.

"See yeah!"

He gave me a look that said “I’m going to kill you!”. I put on a burst of speed, catching up to Rebecca with no problem. She looked at me, surprised at first, then angry.

"How did you catch up so fast?" she asked.

I pointed to where Sid and Steve crashed.

"You guys are so stupid...Don’t think I’m letting you beat me!" She started to get ahead.

"I don’t think so!" I stayed even with her. She was pretty fast and I was surprised I started to lose my breath. I saw that she was too, we were on even ground. I looked back to see if Steve would catch up. I didn’t expect him to be right on my tail. He looked mad, and I didn’t want to be near him when he was mad. Rebecca looked at me, and then followed my line of sight.

“He a friend of yours?” she asked.

“No, he’s actually like my worst enemy.”

“Seethe! I’m going to kill you!” I heard him yell at me.

“Is he always like that?” Rebecca said, sounding a bit worried.

“Less talking, more running!” I blurted out.

We were pretty fast, and I was surprised. As tired as we were, we both didn’t want to have Steve catch up. Unfortunately, he was faster. He was right behind me, and he reached his hand out to grab me. But he almost slipped on something, and his hand went towards Rebecca’s toque. He ripped it off, and I saw a bunch of colors in the corner of my eye. When I looked, I saw that Rebecca had rainbow colored hair. Instantly I realized who she was (I mean its not that hard, right?). Rainbow Dash.

- - -

I was amazed. Dash was my favorite of the six, so I was probably in awe for a few minutes before remembering I was trying to get away from Steve. But I couldn’t stop looking, the hair was too distracting. I looked back, and immediately my awe struck state disappeared. She had fear in her eyes. I suddenly realized why she kept her hair covered. She stuck out too much, and I was willing to bet she was teased for it. She started to lose speed, and Steve now had a new target to go after. I knew this wouldn’t end well. She was tough, but Steve would not go easy on her because she was a girl. Blood was roaring in my ears, I didn’t want that to happen. I stopped and collided into Steve.

Steve was hitting me for a good minute, pounding his fist into my head, chest and arms, anything he could hit. I fought back, I kicked him in the head, and even punched him in the gut a few times, but he was pretty strong. Finally the teacher came and separated us. Steve didn’t look that bad except for the bloody chin. I had another bloody nose, but surprisingly I got out of that with only a few bruises.

“Ok you two, this has gone on for two years! You guys have to stop this!” The teacher said, trying to keep us apart.

“He started it!” Steve said.

“Bull shit!” I yelled back.

“Hey!” The teacher said to me. “Seethe, you’ve got to stop this.”

I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. All this time I’ve been trying to get this guy to watch Steve bully me, and now he’s accusing me of causing everything that’s happened for the past two years?!

“I’m not doing this!” I yelled back. “I didn’t do anything! You’re just going to believe him because you trust him more?!”

“Of course I trust him more! I saw you collide into him Seethe!”

He got me, of all the times he had to look. I saw Steve grinning his face off behind him. Two years, two years of this crap and now I’m getting pegged as the problem.

“I want you to apologies to Steve, Seethe.” The teacher said in a very calm voice.

I was going to just say no and walk off, but I was not expecting someone to defend me.

“Seethe only did that because Steve was trying to attack me.” Rainbow Dash came beside me. I didn’t know whether to be surprised that she was trying to defend me, or upset that I got her into this. It looked like she took something out of her eyes or something, because they were magenta again.

“You stay out of this you Fr-….girl!” I heard Steve say. He picked his words carefully so he didn’t get the teacher upset with him.

“I’m pretty sure Seethe wouldn’t do that on purpose, and I heard you say you were going to kill him.”

The teacher looked at her. He was distracted by her hair. “Rebecca, did he really say that?” She nodded.

He grabbed Steve’s arm. “Looks like we’re going to have a talk.”

Steve was pissed, but he followed the teacher back into the school. After that, the bell rang, second period was over. Everyone was leaving, either going to their next class or more likely trying to get an early lunch. The sound of the bell made something inside me click, because I fell straight to the ground, exhausted.

“Hey, are you ok?” Rainbow Dash said as she knelt down beside me.

“Considering that was the first time I actually tried to fight Steve, pretty good,” I said. I got to my feet again, and tried to step forward, but I guess I was still exhausted because I almost tripped. Thankfully Rainbow Dash helped me up.

“You took a bad beating…” she said, trying to sound sympathetic. She grabbed my arm and put it over her shoulders.

“Thanks. Hey tell me something, where did you get those contacts? ” I said, as we were heading towards the school.

“After I was teased by my eyes, I saw this woman who gave me them. She didn’t say much, just handed them to me and said, have a nice day….pretty weird, huh?”

“Yeah, you should tell Twilight that,” I said jokingly.

“Twilight! You know where she is?” She was so exited she dropped me.

“Ow!” I groaned

She gasped. “Sorry about that. Wait, how do you know Twilight? How do you know that I know Twilight?”

“It’s a long story. Let’s just say that she needed my help and she told me your name.”

“Lets say that I believe you, where is she now?”

I looked up at her. “Well… I don’t know, she disappeared.”

She looked sad. I felt bad for her, even though she dropped me. I was thinking hard, where would a really shy person and a book worm…..

“Book worm!” I tried to get up again with Dash’s help.

“You know where she is?” She sounded a bit happy, like I had just given her some hope.

“I have an idea. It’s a hunch, but I’m going to guess that Twilight found her way to the library.”

Rainbow Dash looked surprised. “You guys have those here?”

“Yeah, we’re a school, its kind of mandatory. That is the most likely place she will be.” I sounded so sure I surprised myself. Maybe it was because I might’ve had a concussion or something.

“What are we waiting for? Let’s get going!” She started to move forward.

I tried to follow, but it was difficult. “Wait! I’m still a little uneven here!” I fell over again. “RAINBOW DASH WAIT!”

She jogged back laughing. “Need some help?”

“Shut up and help me!”

{I just want to say thanks again for reading this story. Feedback on this and past chapters are wanted greatly, and thank you if you already have given feedback. Thank Therizzen and Skwoogle for editing, Im pretty sure if you ask them, my original work was...really really bad. Please be advided, there are some more swearing in this chapter.}

The Library was (as usual) next to empty. The only ones inside were usually nerds (who, by the way, are rare in this school) or people having trouble fitting in (again, rare). When Dash and I walked in, there were about five other people inside. We both looked around.

"I don’t see them..." said Dash. Her voice sounded close to panicking.

The library was about the size of a university classroom. It wasn’t really big when you looked at it, but with all the shelves it seemed like it was huge. I looked in the back corner of the library and I saw a purple haired girl sitting in a chair, reading a book. She looked really into it, and every few seconds she would turn the page.

"Found Twilight." I pointed towards Twilight.

Twilight looked up, a huge grin was on her face. "Seethe, why didn’t you take me here earlier? This place is so cool! So many books I haven’t read yet!" She got back into her book. As we walked closer to her I was able to read what the cover said.

"Astronomy 101. Why are you reading that?"

It took a few minutes for Twilight to get unattached from her book. "After you told me about how your sun and moon works here, I wanted to learn more. Turns out you were right!"

I didn’t know if I should’ve been happy that she wanted to learn more about this world, or upset that she thought I was wrong about how my universe worked. Dash looked around.

"Where's Fluttershy?" she asked.

"I’m here..." Her small voice was heard from the computers on the other side of the library. I raised an eyebrow. "Why is she on the computer?"

Twilight looked at Fluttershy, then at me. "I told her to find more information on how to get us back to our world, and the nice lady at the front probably told her to look up some information on that box."

I nodded. It was funny that they called the computer a box, but I understood that they didn’t know about over half the stuff in this world. I walked over to Fluttershy. She was still nervous when I got near, but I think she was getting better. "What are you doing?" I asked.

"Looking up how to get us home, but I can’t seem to find anything." She sounded so quiet. I didn’t know if she was getting frustrated or just staying calm. Before I left, I saw one of the tabs she had opened and I froze.

"How did you find that?" I probably sounded freaked out, because Dash came over to see what was wrong.

"Oh, that. I haven’t seen it yet. I was going to look at it later. Why do you sound like that?" She was a few seconds away from clicking it.

"No, don’t click that!" I reached over and grabbed the mouse from Fluttershy’s hand, clicking the 'x' next to the tab. When I moved away I saw Fluttershy’s terrified expression. I looked over at Dash, who was glaring at me as if to say 'what did you do that for?' I didn’t know what to say, she had been two seconds away from reading the wiki page on My Little Pony. Thank goodness she didn’t ask any questions.

The bell rang. I looked at the clock and realized third period was over. Time had flown by fast. The next two periods were math and science, and both classes had Steve in it. I didn't want to face him again. I walked over to Twilight, who was still into that astronomy book. "Twilight, we better get going."

She was so into the book she probably didn’t even hear what I said. I looked over at Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash for help. Dash walked towards Fluttershy, whispered something in her ear, and they both walked towards Twilight. They both grabbed one of her arms and began hauling her off.

"No! I was on the chapter on theories of how the sun was created!" She kicked her legs and tried to move her arms, but Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash had a good grip.

"I’m sorry Twilight, but we have to go. You’d stay here all day if we let you." Fluttershy said.

- - -

The walk home was different than the walk to school. For one thing, the girls were talking to each other. I didn’t mind, seeing as they hadn’t seen each other in a while. That left me to lead the way back. I started thinking about today. I had found two of Twilight’s friends, got a few hits on Steve, and managed not to get injured too badly.

I overheard the girls talking, they were on the topic of how they got here. Unfortunately, Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy were just as lost as Twilight. If AppleJack, Rarity, and Pinkie Pie were the same, then it was going to be very difficult to get them back into their world. Thinking about that made me a little sad. How long had it been since I had a real friend? At school I didn’t have people to call friends. The best memory of a friend I had wasn’t even a friend at all. In fact, he was my brother, Josh. The only family member that had actually liked me.

"What are you thinking about Seethe?" I heard Twilight say.

I looked over at her with surprise, because I had completely lost track of where I was for a second. She looked at me with concern. I noticed that Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy were giving me the same look. It took a second for me to realize that I had a tear rolling down my cheek. I quickly rubbed it off. “Just a distant memory,” I said as calmly as I could.

Twilight wanted to make sure that I was alright, and I felt a bit better knowing that.

"Hey, do you guys remember what happened before you came into my world?" I said, eager to change the subject.

They both shook their heads. Clearly something happened to them that had given them amnesia or something. Maybe who ever did it wanted them to forget....wait, am I really accusing someone who I don’t even know? Well if my dream was correct, then there was something that did this to them that they don’t remember. I started to scratch my head. All this thinking was beginning to give me a headache.

Twilight was still looking at me. "Hey Seethe, do you think you have room in your house for all six of us?"

"Uh...well... maybe some of you will have to share, but I’m pretty sure there is room." I wasn’t sure if they were up to sharing beds, but there was no other option.

“What will your parents think about you bringing home three girls for a sleep over?” Rainbow Dash asked in a joking manner.

I went silent, I forgot that Dash and Fluttershy didn’t know about them.

"Rainbow Dash!" Twilight said.

"What?” She asked.

Twilight looked at me, probably to see if I was going to explain. I didn’t. She looked back at Rainbow Dash.

“This is a touchy subject for Seethe. I don’t know if he-“

“My parents are not home,” I interrupted. I probably sounded upset, maybe even mad.

“Oh, how long are they gone for?” Dash asked.

“For a long time,” I answered. I looked ahead, trying not to show my face. I was feeling pained. I didn’t want to continue on this discussion. Before any of them could say anything, I spoke up again.

“Looks like we made it.” I pointed at my house. We walked to the front door and I opened it. After they got inside, I remembered something. I had no food in my fridge, and I had to feed four people. “You guys stay here, I need to go to the store and pick something up for us to eat.”

“Maybe we should come with you,” Twilight said.

I shook my head. “No. You guys would be safer here then in the store. I’ll be back soon, don’t worry.”

Twilight didn’t like that I was going by myself, I could see that in her eyes. I needed to go by myself though, I still felt a bit pained after my parents discussion. Dash walked beside Twilight. “Seethe can take care of himself. You should’ve seen him trying to fight Steve.” She said trying to reassure Twilight. I don’t know if it worked, she still looked worried, but she nodded her head.

“Fine, you be safe.”

I smiled. “Yes mum.”

Now, I won’t be talking about my trip to the grocery store. Why? Because it was boring. The way back was a little more…interesting. Walking home with a bag full of groceries, I was listening to my iPod. The few songs that I listen to are from Rise Against and Woodentoaster . I was five doors down from my house when I saw Steve and someone I’ve never met before walking towards me. Does this guy ever go home? I saw Steve smile at me.

“Look here Kevin, this is the guy I was talking to you about,” he told the new guy.

Kevin was about the same height as me, but he had more muscle. He had black short hair and green eyes. He looked at Steve, then at me. He was probably new here and he got into the wrong crowd (In my perspective). Steve laughed.

“Come on Steve, I just want to go home. You can bully me on Monday,” I said.

“You’ve gotta pay for getting me in trouble Seethe, you and Rebecca. After I hurt you I’m going to find her.” He said in a very angry voice. My anger from earlier today was all gone. I didn’t want to try to fight him again, after the bloody nose he gave me. Kevin leaned towards Steve.

“Who is Seethe again?” At first I thought he was trying to piss me off, but it seemed like he was serious.

“You know that guy I ‘pretended’ to be friends with. Found out he was a….what is it called? Brody? Prody? Brony? Yeah Brony! I told everyone at school about it.” He loved telling that story, especially when I’m around. That managed to piss me off again, but I still wasn’t in the mood for a fight. I looked at Kevin. To my knowledge, he looked like he didn’t want to fight either. Before I had the chance to try and leave, I saw my front door burst open. Rainbow Dash came out with her toque on, and she was running towards us. I was shaking my head, trying to tell her to not come any closer, but Steve turned at the sound of feet hitting the ground.

“Well, if it isn’t Rebecca. You wait there, I have to deal with Seethe before I get to you.”

As she got closer I saw that she didn’t have her contacts on. Her magenta eyes were glaring at Steve. “Whats wrong Steve, are you mad that we got you in trouble after trying to kill us?” She said.

I looked at her. She shouldn’t be here, and she shouldn’t be trying to piss Steve off. He looked at her, probably wanting to hit her. Kevin was standing there, as confused as ever.

“Why are you here anyways Rebecca…?” Steve said, leaving a pause to think. I could imagine steam coming out of his ears trying to think. He smiled as he found an answer. “You’re visiting your new friend?” He turned to face me, and I knew the words he was going to say.

“Have you told her about you being a brony?” An evil look was on his face.

Rainbow Dash tilted her head. “What’s a brony?”

No! I didn’t want them to find out, especially from someone like Steve. I walked towards Steve. “Ok, haha. Lets just drop this and-“I was caught off guard as he sucker punched me. I fell on my butt, the side of my face in pain again.

Rainbow Dash ran towards Steve. “You leave him alone!” She shoved him, and to my surprise (and Steve’s), he stumbled back a few steps. He glared at her. He ripped her toque off, surprising her. That left enough time to punch her in the face. She fell to the floor face down. I saw blood on the pavement where she laid. I got back up and ran at Steve as his back was turned. “You fucking asshole!” I jumped on his back. I had no idea what I was trying to do, maybe make him lose his balance? I just wanted him to leave Rainbow Dash alone. Steve turned around, trying to swat at my face with his hands. I thought that I might win this until he had the brilliant idea of falling over and landing on his back.

“Arrrhhh….” Probably came out of my mouth. I had the wind knocked out of me, my back and chest hurt, and my vision was now blurry. I had no Idea what was going on for a few seconds. When my vision cleared up, was Steve standing over me with his foot an inch from my face.

“Say good night Seethe!”

All my brain could tell me was that I was about to be curbed stomped into the ground. No shit! Before I had the chance to turn my head I saw a fist go into Steve’s face. Apparently, while I and Rainbow Dash were being beaten, Kevin decided to pick a side. That punch was able to knock Steve out.

“Good night!” Kevin said. He put a hand out to help me up. I was cautious at first, maybe this was a trap and I was going to get beaten by two guys. Then again, Kevin seemed to be an alright guy if he was able to knock out Steve. I accepted his help. Before he said anything I ran to Rainbow Dash.

“Hey! Are you Ok?” I asked.

She turned her head to face me, “That hurt a bit.” I could see her cringe every time I tried to look at her nose, which was bleeding. Kevin walked beside me. “Is she going to be alright?”
I nodded, helping her up. She looked a bit dizzy so I let her lean against me. “I guess we’re even now huh?” I said trying to make her laugh. She smiled, that was close enough.

- - -

Twilight was worried when she saw Rainbow Dash run out, but she was horrified when she saw us in our beaten state.

“What happened?” she said as she took Rainbow Dash from me.

“Steve…” I said.

Twilight looked at me, probably upset at first, but relief soon washed over her face. “At least you guys aren’t dead.” She noticed Kevin behind me. “Who are you?” she asked.

“Kevin. I uh…helped get rid of Steve.” His voice sounded weird. I looked at him, and I saw him squinting his eyes.

“Dude, you Ok?” I asked.

“They look familiar…” Kevin said. Before he said anything else, I grabbed him and dragged him outside.

“Ok, first off, thank you for helping me and Rebecca, but why did you help?” I was very curious, considering that no one had done this before.

“Well…he was going to kill you. That’s taking it too far.” Kevin said.

I nodded. “Ok. I was just wondering. No one has ever done that for me before.”

Kevin blinked. “You get bullied a lot, don’t you? Is it because you’re a brony?”

I nodded. I never like to admit it, but Kevin seemed to be an alright guy. He put his hand on my shoulder and smiled. “Me too.”

I blinked hard. Did I hear him right? He laughed at my face, which probably resembled what Twilight’s looked like when I tried to explain about the sun and moon. “What?” I couldn’t imagine this guy being a brony.

“I was like you, being picked on because I was a brony. I got so tired of it, I started working out and faced them. Now I have a question for you. Why do you have two girls in your house that look like Twilight Sparkle and Rainbow Dash?”

I had no Idea how to answer that. I was having a hard time trying to process what he was saying. Twilight came through the door behind me. “Is everything alright?”

I turned to her. “Yeah, we’re Ok. I’ll be there in a minute.”

She walked back inside. “Ok Kevin, you’re right, they are Twilight and Dash. You have to promise me though that you will not tell anyone about this, especially them. If they found out….well...have you ever seen those sci-fi shows about robots finding out they are robots? It would be like that, but worse.”

He raised an eyebrow, probably trying to figure out if I was telling the truth. I wouldn’t blame him if he doesn't believe me, how do you explain cartoon characters coming to life? I had no proof to back me up either, so it was just my words he had to trust.

He smiled, which brought my hopes up. “Ok, I promise not to tell anyone.” I was grateful. I think I had found a new friend.

- - -

I introduced Twilight to Kevin. I told her what happened with Steve. She was grateful to Kevin that Dash and I were Ok. Kevin kept his word about not saying anything, but almost blew it when he saw Fluttershy come down stairs. She was wondering what everyone was talking about and Kevin almost freaked out and hugged her. I had to pull him back so Fluttershy wouldn’t run away terrified. “Sorry,” Kevin whispered to me. “Fluttershy is my favorite, and well…I was excited…” I smiled.

It was getting late. After today, I was happy to go to bed. I brought Fluttershy to her room, another spare bedroom I had. She liked it, and thanked me for my hospitality. I gave her a lamp because I thought she wouldn’t like this room in the dark, but she said she would be fine. I was going to bring Dash to her room, but I couldn’t find her. I walked into Twilight’s room.

“Hey, you ready for bed?”

She sat in her bed, looking at me. I think she was upset a bit because she was looking a bit unhappy. “Seethe, I thought you were going to be careful?”

I shrugged. “I can’t help what happened. Steve is like that.”

She rolled her eyes. “He could’ve killed you two if Kevin didn’t step in”

“Glad you have so much faith in me,” I joked.

“Seethe I’m serious,” she said, her voice was raised a bit. “If something happened to you, Dash, Fluttershy, or any of the others…” She didn’t finish. She looked down and I swore I saw a tear. I felt bad for saying that joke.

“Twilight, I’m sorry.” I sat down beside her. I didn’t think about worrying Twilight when I saw Steve. “I didn’t want to get in that, and I tried to get Dash away. I’m glad that Kevin was there too.” She wouldn’t look at me.

“Well at least I wont see him for a few days, He’s busy during the weekend.” Twilight still wouldn’t look at me.

I had an idea that might cheer her up. “Wait here.” I walked out of her room and came back carrying a book. I dropped it on her bed in front of her. She looked at it for a minute. “What is it?” she said, her voice was low.

“It’s that book you were reading in the library. Astronomy 101. I got it after you were dragged out, seeing that you were really interested in it.” My plan worked. She smiled, wiping a tear from her face. She looked up at me. “Thank you Seethe.”

I blushed. “Yeah, well don’t read that now, or you won’t sleep at all. Have you seen Dash around?”

“Yeah. When you were bringing Fluttershy to her room, Dash picked her own. She’s next door,” Twilight said

My eyes widened. The room next door? I nodded, said good night, and went into the next room. I saw Dash on the bed, trying to clean her nose. I sighed and walked in.

“Hey Dash, good to see you picked your own room.” I surprised her. She probably didn’t hear me come in.

She looked at me. “Yeah, I saw this room and liked it. It’s filled with some weird stuff though.” She pointed to a few model airplanes on the night stand next to her.

“This is my brother’s room,” I said. She looked at me with huge eyes.

“You had a brother? What was he like? How come he’s not here now?” she asked.

“Yeah, I had a brother. His name was Josh, and he was five years older than me. When he was growing up, he loved flying. He got every type of airplane you could imagine…uh, well you don’t know what those are, but anyways. He was the only family member that liked me. He would help me with everything. Homework, Chores, sports…” I was lost in thought. Memories of my brother flashed into my head and I was smiling.

I think my smile was contagious, because when I looked back Dash was smiling too. “I loved flying when I was in Ponyville. Of course I had wings then, but I would love to fly now.” That was the reason why I liked Rainbow Dash the most, she reminded me of my brother. “What happened to him? Is he in the sky flying around the world or something?” she asked.

My smile faded. “He was learning to fly. He got into an airplane, and took off. There was something wrong with the plane, some type of malfunction, and it spiraled out of control. The instructor was trying to fix the problem, but they hit the ground. No one survived.” I felt a tear rolling down my face, and I quickly wiped it away. Dash looked around the room, and noticed all the pictures of me and some guy with brown hair and blue eyes.

“Seethe, I’m so sorry to hear that. If you want I’ll get out of your brothers room,” she said as she started to get up.

I shook my head. “No it’s Ok. Dash, thank you for standing up for me today, even though you took a hit for it. ”

She smiled. “No problem Seethe. What did Steve mean when he called you a brony?”

“Uh…I’ll tell you later. It’s a long and weird story,” I admitted.

She nodded. “Ok, well good night Seethe.” She pulled the covers over her and started to fall asleep. I left the room, walked into mine, and laid on my bed.

“Damn, These girls are making me have feelings again,” I joked to myself. Today had been a very strange day. I might have to live through another one, and I’m not sure if I’ll be up to that. I looked at the picture of me and my brother sitting on a swing set. We were both so happy there. I smiled at the fond memory of him accidentally knocking me off mine, and then picking me up saying sorry.

“Hey bro,” I said to the picture. “Haven’t talked to you in a while. I made some friends since we last talked. I think you’d like one of them, you both love flying. I hope your still flying, where ever you are.” My eyes felt heavy. I yawned and rolled over onto my back. “Good night bro.”

( First off, Exams were great, but thats doesnt matter! Thanks for waiting, you guys are awsome! Thank Therizzen and Skwoogle again for editing! To my knowledge there is no swaring in this chapter [you think I would rememebr since I wrote it XD]. Now if there is something you dont understand, or that there is something wrong with this, please tell me.)

“APPLEJACK!” I heard someone yell. I opened my eyes, and to my surprise I wasn’t in my room anymore, I was in Ponyville. I have no idea how I had gotten here, nor did I know why. I saw rarity’s dress shop to my left and the town hall on my right. Directly in front of me was a little filly, running around everywhere looking for something…or somepony?

She galloped up to me, with big worried eyes she asked me, “Have you seen Applejack?”

I realized that this filly was Apple Bloom, Applejack’s little sister. I knew the answer to her question, she wasn’t in Equestria anymore, but I was more concerned about something else.

“Um...aren’t you wondering why a human is here?” I asked.

She looked at me, not with worry, but confusion. “Human? What in tar nation is that?”

I was a bit confused myself, she wasn’t freaking out about seeing a human….wait… I looked down at my body, and with horror I realized that I wasn’t a human anymore. I had hooves, a brown coat like the color of my hair, and…I had wings?! I was a Pegasus! I started freaking out. I looked back down at Apple Bloom, who was now cautiously walking away.

“Whats going on?! Why am I a stallion?!” I asked her.

“Are you ok mister? You’re starting to scare me,” she said.

I looked around to see if somepony else will help me, but the townsfolk were too busy. I saw the little purple dragon Spike walking around calling out for Twilight, Scootaloo trying to look for Rainbow Dash in the sky, Sweetie belle crying out for Rarity, the Cakes looking for Pinkie Pie, and some Pegasus looking in the forests for Fluttershy. All of Ponyville was looking for the Elements of Harmony, and none of them knew about them entering my world. I looked back at Applebloom, who was now moving away to find Applejack.

“Hey hold on! What happened to AppleJack?” I asked, hoping that this will help me get some answers.

She was cautious at first, probably wondering if I was sane or not, but she must’ve seen something inside me saying that I wanted to help. “I don’t know. One minute they were here, n’ then some light showed up. All of a sudden they disappeared. I’m so worried about my sister!” Apple Bloom looked like she was about to cry. I was not sure how to comfort ponies in my unusual state, so I patted her head with my hoof. It calmed her down a bit.

“Do you know anything before that? Maybe something fell out of the sky, or something bad happened?”

Apple Bloom thought for a minute. “No, I don’t think I remember if there was anythin’ like that.”

Before I could ask another question, a huge headache hit me. I staggered, trying to keep my balance, but this headache was intense. I fell over, and my eyes were getting heavy. I saw Apple Bloom looking at me, and she was trying to say something, but I couldn’t hear anything. I blinked, and the next thing I knew I was back in my room. I looked around, making sure that I wasn’t dreaming. I rested my head against my pillow. “That was a very strange dream.”

“No kidding! You were flopping around, tossing and turning! You even mumbled in your sleep!” I heard someone say. I turned towards the sound of the voice and saw a pink, fluffy haired girl standing there. I couldn’t believe I missed her. I was trying to form words in my mouth, like ‘What the hell?’ and ‘How did you get in here?’ but I was more confused about her being there in the first place.

She smiled at me. “Oh good, you’re up now! I thought you were up a few times earlier, and I tried to talk to you, but you seemed out of it, so I left you alone.” She said it so cheerfully that I had to assume that this was Pinkie Pie. “So, what’s your name? Mine’s Pinkie Pie! I know, sounds delicious! I tried to make one before, but It tasted really bad, so I tried to make another one, and-“

“TWILIGHT!” I yelled at the top of my lungs. Her constant talking was…unbearable, especially when I was half asleep. She continued talking though, like I didn’t just interrupt her by yelling. I heard footsteps running up the stairs. A few seconds later, Twilight popped her head through the doorway.

“Is everything alright Seethe?” she asked.

“Everything alright? Where did you find her, and why was she in my room while I was sleeping?!” I yelled again. I don’t like it when I have no privacy.

Twilight seemed to realize that Pinkie Pie was in my room. “Pinkie Pie? What are you doing?”

Pinkie Pie turned to Twilight. “Well, he was still asleep, and I looked at the time realizing that it was 11:30 am. It’s too late for sleeping, so I waited here to tell him about it.”

I blinked hard. “Did you just say its 11:30?”

She nodded. I jumped out of my bed and ran past Pinkie Pie to get to my dresser. Why did my alarm not go off? I was going to be late for work!

“Uh, Seethe? Whats wrong?” Twilight asked.

“I’m going to be late for work, that’s whats wrong!” I rushed to the bathroom to brush my teeth. I shut the door so I could change in the bathroom with no interruptions. As I got my new clothes on and started brushing my teeth I heard someone knocking on the door.

“Seethe, where are you going?” I head Twilight ask.

I stopped my brushing and stared at the door in the mirror. “I going out for a while, wont be back ‘till 4pm or so.”

“Do you think one of our friends will be where you work?” she asked.

“I’m not sure, there is a chance, but you’re not going to come with me.” I said, regretting it as soon as the words left my mouth.

“Not coming with you? Why not? How will my friends believe you when you tell them about us here?” Her voice was raised a bit.

“Twilight, I’m not having another incident like yesterday. Knowing my luck, Steve will be there, but there is a chance he won’t see me. If you, Rainbow Dash, or even Fluttershy came with me, I’m sure he will be picking on you guys.”

“Come on Seethe, I’ll be ok.” I heard Rainbow Dash’s voice outside the door.

“Rainbow Dash, I felt bad when you got hit yesterday. There is no way you guys are coming with me.” My voice was now raised.

I heard nothing outside my door, and thought that they had finally agreed it would be a bad idea for them to come with me. I hated feeling like the bad guy, but I felt responsible for them. When I got out, I saw Twilight and Rainbow Dash standing there. “When I get back, I want you guys to explain to me where you found her.” I pointed to Pinkie Pie, who was standing outside my room. “And to make sure that she doesn’t go into my room again.”

They didn’t like it, but they agreed. I ran downstairs, said hi to Fluttershy who was eating breakfast, and ran out the door.

Now at this point you’re probably wondering what kind of job I have. I work at a book store, stocking shelves. It’s not the best job in the world, but I get to read a lot, and time passes by pretty fast when you’ve found a good book. Am I allowed to read while working? No, but I do it anyway. The bookstore is inside a mall, so if I get really bored, I can just explore the mall. My boss doesn’t mind, in fact he doesn’t like me anyways. Why do I stay in this job? Well, I love reading books. I guess I’m like Twilight.

My boss was waiting for me. I was only a few minutes late, but he didn’t care. He glared at me, the way that Steve glares at me every time I manage to piss him off. Did I mention that my boss was Steve’s dad?

“You’re late,” he growled at me.

“Yeah, got held up at home,” I said, even though I knew he wasn’t going to accept that excuse.

He rolled his eyes, and walked off. I ran into the back and started to unbox the new books. I was glad that Steve didin’t work here. He never got along with his dad, and his dad wasn’t as bad as him. There were times that his dad was actually nice, and I got along with him well, but most of the time he was a jerk.

There were times where I had to deal with customers. Either they were looking for a book, or getting mad at me because they didn’t know we don’t carry their book. I don’t like it when they yell at me for some of those reasons, but I can’t do anything about it. Fortunately, my boss deals with them. He kindly shows them where to go for the right book, and when they are gone he calls them names behind their backs. That’s bad I know, but when customers yell at you because they think you’re stupid for not getting them their book, it makes you feel better.

I was in the back room, reading a book, when I heard my boss yelling my name. “Seethe! You have a customer!” He never calls me to deal with a customer. I was curious who this was. I walked out of the back room, and I saw Twilight standing there. When she saw me she smiled and waved.

“Seethe!”

I walked over to her. “Twilight, what are you doing here? I told you to not come here...how did you even know I was here?”

“We followed you,” she said casually.

“You followed me?! Why would you- wait whose we?”

I saw Pinkie Pie jump out from behind Twilight. “Hey Seethe!” she said cheerfully.

I jumped back in surprise. “Geez, stop that! You’re going to give me a heart attack if you keep this up!” She just smiled innocently. “Is there anyone else here with you?” I asked Twilight.

She nodded. “Dash and Fluttershy are here too.” She pointed to the shop next door, a sports store. “Dash said that store looks pretty good, so she went in there with Fluttershy.”

I looked at my watch. It said 3:30pm. “Why did you come here so late if you followed me?”

Pinkie Pie jumped up and down. “There were so many cool stores, we got stuck in a few.”

I stared at her for a minute. “Twilight, where did you find her?”

Pinkie Pie beat her to it. “Oh! I was lost for a while, and then some nice lady pointed me to your street. I went to a few houses ‘till Twilight answered the door.”

“Nice lady?” I never knew any nice ladies. Why was there one helping them? I looked at my boss. “Hey, is it alright if I get off early?”

He looked at me. “I guess, you’re pretty much finished anyway.”

Twilight wanted to stay in the book store, and Pinkie Pie stayed with Twilight, so I went to get something to eat, I was starving. I went to the food court and looked around for a place to eat. “Hm…chinese food? Nope. KFC? Maybe…” Before I was able to decide, I heard someone say my name.

“Hey Seethe!”

I looked and saw Kevin sitting down at a table. I waved. “Kevin! Hey, whats up?”

He gestured for me to sit down. “I’m good, getting something to eat.”

I smiled. “I can see that.”

We sat there talking for a while. Nothing interesting, our pasts, whats happening in our lives now, all that stuff. I was tapped on the shoulder and saw Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy standing behind me.

“Hey guys, whats up?” I asked.

“Seethe, I was trying to get a new hat, but they won’t accept our bits,” Rainbow Dash said.

“Bits?” Kevin said.

I looked back at Kevin. “It’s their currency.”

He nodded. I looked at Rainbow Dash. “Ok, hold on, I’ll go with you to the store.”

- - -

Dash ran into the store and was looking for the hat that she wanted to buy. Fluttershy lost interest and was looking at the pet store across the hall. Me and Kevin sat outside the store. I looked at Kevin who kept looking at Fluttershy.

“Dude, you’re going to creep her out. You’re creeping me out,” I said.

He looked at me innocently. “Dude, It’s so weird seeing her in real life.”

I nodded. It was weird for me to get used to that as well. I looked at Rainbow Dash, who was trying to jump to get a hat. I smiled.

“It’s defiantly weird. It still is weird actually,” I admitted.

Kevin saw me looking at Dash. “Dude, you’re going to creep her out.”

I punched him in the arm. “Hey! Don’t be a hypocrite!”

He started laughing. I never would’ve imagined hanging out with someone like Kevin. It felt nice. Kevin was really cool, and I was sure he wasn’t going to backstab me like Steve.

Kevin looked back at Fluttershy. “What’s it like, having them around?”

I didn’t know how to answer that. It seemed like an easy enough question, but I couldn’t find the words I wanted.

“You know Seethe, I’m glad this happened to you. From what I’ve heard about your past from Steve, it wasn’t good.” He looked at me, and I saw sympathy in his face. “If this never happened to you…I would say you’d be on the verge of depression, or maybe already there.”

I nodded. I understood what Kevin was saying. After my brother died, my life had been going down hill. There were times that I felt like this world was cruel and wasn’t for me at all.
Kevin probably knew he hit a sore spot, so he deicide to change it to something more enjoyable. “Do you think I should ask Fluttershy out?”

That snapped me out of it. “What? Where did that come from?”

“Come on Seethe, I think it could work out,” he said jokingly.

“Yeah, I can imagine it now. You walking up to her about to ask, she gets nervous and freaks out. That could be a very good date.”

He punched me in the arm. “Now that’s not nice.”

I laughed. “Ok, sorry. I just think she’s too nervous.”

“How about this, if I end up asking her out, and she says yes, then you gotta ask out one of the others.”

I blinked. “I’m sorry, did I hear you right?”

Kevin raised an eyebrow. “Don’t tell me you don’t like one of them?”

“Listen, its like I have four sisters I have to take care of. There is a smart one, a shy one, an athletic one, and … a crazy one. I would be lying if I said I don’t have feelings for them, but it’s like a family type love. Yeah, I’ve only known them for a day or two, but I’ve never felt like I’ve had a good family until now.”

Kevin patted my back. “You’re a lucky kid Seethe, I don’t have any siblings.” He looked at the store Rainbow Dash was in. “I think Dash found her hat.”

I saw Dash waving at me. Holding a hat in her hand, she had this huge grin on her face. “Wait here, and keep an eye on Fluttershy... well you’re already doing that.” I grinned.

When I walked over to Rainbow Dash, she showed me her hat. It was a baseball cap, blue all the way around. In the front it had a big ‘W’ surrounded with thunderbolts. I stared at it for a few minutes. I knew right away why she picked it, it looked like a wonderbolt merchandise item, but I was confused. I had no idea what team it was from, or what type of sport. I looked up at Rainbow Dash, she was still grinning.

“This is so cool! Can I have it? Please?”

“Sure, I guess.” I had a weird feeling. My brother told me almost all the sport teams there were, and they were burrowed into my brain. I don’t know if this was a new team, or just something to look cool. Dash looked so happy though, I didn’t want to say anything. Right when I paid for the hat, she immediately took off her toque, and put on the hat. Her grin got bigger as she wore it proudly around the store. I shook my head. “Come on Dash, let’s go find the others. We should be going home.” She nodded and followed me out of the store.

Waiting for Twilight to get out of the book store was unbearable. I think she was trying to read every book there was. I saw Pinkie Pie walk out and immediately begin chatting with Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy.

I looked at Kevin. “Do you want to wait here with them, or help me get Twilight out of the store.” He looked back at the group behind him. “I’m coming with you.”

After a few minutes of trying to get Twilight away from a new book she was reading, I decided to pull a Rainbow Dash. I told Kevin to help me drag her out of the store, so we can go home. Imagine, two guys dragging a teenage girl out of a store, not a pretty picture, right? It didn’t take long for the mall cops to stop us when we got out of the book store.

“Uh, hi officers…” Kevin said. I face palmed. Now we seem like kidnappers, great. While Kevin was distracting the mall cops, I told Twilight to start walking out of the store with everyone, hopefully they will let this slide. By the looks of things, we were in big trouble. I thought we were going to mall jail, (or whatever they call it), when a kid skateboarded by, and the mall cops lost interest in us. We both sighed with relief.

“Seethe, next time I’m staying with the girls,” Kevin said.

When I finally got home I saw Twilight reading her astronomy book at the kitchen table. She heard the door open, and looked at me. “What happened?”

I smiled. “Me and my partner in crime got away. Where is everyone else?”

“They are upstairs, trying to figure out what room Pinkie Pie should get.”

I heard a loud yes, and my eyes shot towards the stairs. “What in Equestria is that?” I heard Twilight suppress a laugh.

“What?” I asked her.

“What in Equestria? Seethe, you’re talking like us now,” she laughed.

I put my hand to my mouth. “Did I really say that?” I asked.

I heard a yell, followed by gun shot. “Oh no.”

I ran upstairs, and started looking around. I heard someone yell ‘I got you now!’ and I looked towards my room. “Whose in my room?!” I yelled. I opened my door, and saw Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash sitting down on my floor, playing Halo. They both looked at me, giving me sheepish smiles. I looked on my bed and saw Fluttershy cowering behind a pillow. “One, why are you guys in my room? Two, how did you set this up? And three, why do I have a huge headache right now?!” The last question came out of nowhere, but I was too angry to not say it.

“Well we got bored, so me and Dash went up here to play Halo,” Pinkie Pie said.

“But how did you set this up? I’m pretty sure you guys didn’t have Xbox in Equestria.”

“Well, there is only one button on the big white box, and it wasn’t hard to learn the controls, we got right into it.”

I looked at Dash. “How does she know what she is doing?”

She shrugged. “Its Pinkie Pie, no one knows how she knows stuff.” She looked back at Fluttershy. “You know you can go down stairs with Twilight, right?”

Flutterhsy nodded. “I’ll be going now. There is too much noise here.” She rushed past me, and ran downstairs. Before I could say anything Pinkie Pie yelled out, “Ah-Ha! I got you with my active camo!”

Dash looked back at the screen with surprise. “Pinkie Pie, I was distracted!”

“I’m not Pinkie Pie,” her voice got lower. “I am Spartan 117, Master Chief!”

I laughed a bit too loudly. “I knew it, I’m going insane. I’ll be back, I need something for this headache I have.”

Walking to the bathroom, the headache got worse. I felt myself losing balance. A few more feet, and I fell over. I tried to get up again, but I felt really heavy. My eyes started to close, and the next thing I knew I was back In Equestria.

“Wha- What!?” I got up. I was in a hospital. I looked around, and I saw Apple Bloom sitting at the end of the bed.

“Are you ok now mister?” she asked.

“What happened? Why am I here?” I said.

“You fainted. Me n’ the crusaders helped you get here.” She pointed a hoof at the other two fillies sitting on either end of the bed.

“We dragged you to the hospital, it took a while though,” Sweetie belle said.

I felt my back, It was sore from being dragged. I realized that I was a stallion again. I didn’t freak out as much as last time, but I was still surprised. I had an Idea. I looked at the crusaders. ”Can you guys direct me to Twilight’s Library?”

Scootaloo raised an eyebrow. “Why do you want to go there?”

“I need to find out whats wrong with me, and I’m pretty sure that Twilight might have a book about it.” I was glad they didn’t ask any questions about how I might know this (Thank you My Little Pony!). All three nodded.

“Sure, we might get our cutie mark if we help you out,” said Sweetie belle.

“Yeah, a help a pony out Cutie mark!” exclaimed Scootaloo.

“Or bring an insane pony across the road cutie mark!” said Apple Bloom

“Hey! I’m not insane…Well I hope not. Just help me get there,” I said in irritation.

An Unfortunate Trip

Hey! sorry this took so long, this chapter was harder to write then the others. Thank you guys for being patient. Thanks to Therizzen for editting and Swkoogle for support, these guys were really busy with the new write off, but they were nice enough to help me finish this off. There is some swearing in this as well. Thanks again!

After a while we managed to get out of the hospital, it took longer than I would’ve liked because the doctors still wanted me checked over. Fortunately, an accident involving Derpy, and a tree, got their attention, so they dealt with that. We galloped as fast as we could, I had to follow behind because as much My Little Pony that I watched, they never did quite tell you that Twilight’s library was a few doors down form this, or that. The whole time galloping, the crusaders started asking me questions.

“How long have you been here?” asked Sweetie belle.

“Uh, I just got here actually.”

“Really?! Where were you from?” asked Scootaloo.

“Trust me when I say, you don’t know where.”

“Wait, if yer new, then how do you know of Twilight’s Library?” Apple Bloom asked. She raised an eyebrow at me.

“Uh, well…I’ll tell you later.” Damn, I didn’t think they would catch on so fast.

“Why not now?” Sweetie belle was now getting curious.

“It’s a long and weird story, let’s just get to the library,” I said, trying to drop the subject. I could see them looking at me, trying to figure out what type of secret I had. I doubted that they would believe that I’m a human that is somehow in their world. If I brought up the elements of harmony though, they might listen, but that is a last resort. We reached the library and I was about to walk right in, but they stopped me.

“Whats wrong?” I asked.

“You can’t just walk right in! Especially when Spike is so depressed!” Scootaloo said.

“Depressed?”

“Ever since Twilight disappeared he has been acting down. Rarity’s disappearances made it worse.” All three nodded, guess it was common knowledge of spike liking Rarity. Apple Bloom knocked on the door.

“Spike? I know yer busy, but there is someone here that needs Twilight’s books fer help.”

A minute passed, and the door opened. The purple dragon walked out slowly. “Needs Twilight’s books? What for?”

I looked at Spike, and I felt bad for him. His purple scales had paled, he looked like he hadn’t slept in a few days and, upon looking inside, it seemed as if he was trying to find a way to bring Twilight and her friends back. There were books all over the place. I stepped forward.

“Spike, I need them to help me get back to my world.” I told him as calmly as possible.

He looked at me, first with confusion, then caution. “What do you mean your world?”

“There is something weird going on Spike. People are missing in your world, correct? If I can find a way to stop this, everything will be back to normal. I think there might be a book about this here.” I wasn’t sure if this was true, maybe there was no book, maybe I was trapped here like how Twilight and her friends were trapped in my world. I put that out of my head, I needed to find a way back, and then help get them back.

Spike nodded. “Ok fine you can check, I’m trying to find a book like that anyways.” He sounded grumpy, but he let us in.

We had been searching for what seemed like hours. We looked through a lot of books, but not one of them could explain anything about what’s going on. A few minutes later, I noticed that Applebloom and Scootaloo were looking out the window.

“Guys! We need to concentrate here. What are you looking at?” They both looked frightened. I was confused. “Hey! Applebloom? Scootaloo?”

“Whats that?” I heard Scootaloo say in a low voice.

I had no Idea what she was talking about untill I heard a weird buzzing noise. I looked out the window and I saw a something really far away in the sky. It had two parts sticking out of its side, like wings.

“That’s a plane, haven’t you guys seen-“ I looked back out at the plane. What was a plane doing in Equestria? A memory flashed in my head of Rainbow Dash holding the Wonderbolt cap. I had an idea.

“Spike!” I was so exited I started to fly. “Spike do you- HOLY CELESTIA HOW DO I GET DOWN?!” I started to panic. My altitude started dropping until I slammed into the ground.

“Whoa! Are you ok?” I heard Scootaloo ask.

I nodded. “Spike! Do you have a book about alternate universes?”

He thought for a minute. “I think so, It might be in the supernatural book.” He started looking in a shelf across the room. He pulled out a green book and opened it. “Lets see…hmm...Oh! Here it is! The book of travel. One of the first rulers of Equestria, a very powerful alicorn, created a book that allowed ponies to travel through the different universes. Unfortunately, his brother, who was only a unicorn, got angry at the thought of this book being made.”

“How cliché,” I said

“The brother tried to tamper with the book, but the book, only to be wielded by an alicorn, became unstable. The whole room where it was kept collapsed, and the book was never seen again.”

“Well there goes that plan,” said Scootaloo, lowering her head.

“What are you talking about? The book must still exist! It’s either in your world, or in my world. The two universes are colliding, the plane explains that,” I said.

“We have a problem. Who was the one that read from it?” Spike asked, he looked as if he had regained some of his original colour. “There is something here saying that it could be read in any language, anyone can read it.”

That troubled me. I had no idea who would do this, maybe they though it was new reading material, or maybe they wanted these universes to collide. If they meant it to be good or bad intentions, this was happening and it needs to stop.

“Ok, I guess we got to look for this book, you guys look in this world, and I’ll look in mine.”

“What makes you think the book is in yer world?” Apple Bloom asked. I couldn’t keep it a secret anymore. They are either going to believe that it’s happening, or probably send me into Canterlot’s dungeon for being insane.

“Because there are things happening in my world that’s also happening in yours. For starters…Twilight and her friends are in my world.” There was silence. I was afraid that they were going to yell for the guards. Instead they started asking me if everyone was alright. They asked about Twilight and her friends, if they were alright, how they were doing. I was bombarded with so many questions that I probably would have felt better if they had called me crazy. When they all calmed down I finally had a chance to answer their questions.

“Yes they are alright. I found Twilight, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, and Pinkie Pie so far. Rarity and Applejack are still missing, but you guys have my word that I’ll find them.”

That reassured them for a while. I was surprised that they had believed me right away, but seeing that these guys just might’ve given up hope on trying to find their friends and family, I think this helped.

“How are you going to get back?” Spike asked.

“I’m not sure, it’s kind of random how this works, but every time I get this huge headache, I seem to travel between the two worlds.”

As if on cue, the headache came. I started to stumble. I heard Applebloom gasp.

“You mean that’s what happened to you? You went back to yer universe?” I could see in her face that she understood why I had all of a sudden passed out before. I tried to answer, but I couldn’t control my mouth. I fell over and felt really sleepy. The last thing I saw were the crusaders coming closer to me, wondering if I was going to be ok.

- - -

I woke up, lying down on my bed. I remembered passing out in the hallway, so either I had been sleep walking, or someone put me here. I blinked. Now I wasn’t so sure that was a dream, if anything that was real, and this book needs to be found immediately. I got up slowly, the headache was still there, but it was dying down now. Before I could move another inch however, I felt someone throw their arms around my neck.

“Wha-?!” I was caught off guard. I looked and saw Twilight there. She was crushing me with that hug. “Tw-Twilight! My neck!” She didn’t let go for a good minute. When she did, I was able to catch my breath.

“Oh geez Twilight! How long was I out?” I asked.

“For a whole day! Seethe you really worried us,” Twilight said. She sounded so happy, for a moment I thought she was going to hug me again.

“A whole day?!” I got up, but pain lanced through my head. I fell back down on my bed.

“Whatever hit you is still there, you need to rest for a bit,” she said, trying to calm me down.

“No, got to get up. Might’ve found a way to get you back home.”

That last part excited her. “Really?! How?”

I told her about what happened, my little trip to her world. I didn’t know if she was going to believe me, but out of the four of them, Twilight seemed to have the most faith. When I finished, she sat there for a minute.

“So, this book is what’s causing everything? And now our worlds might collide? Do you know how long we have?”

“I’m not sure, it could be days, weeks, or months before it happens.”

“Well before we find this book, we need to find Applejack and Rarity first. You still need to rest, I’ll go down stairs and tell the others.” She got up, gave me another hug to show that she’s glad I’m alright, then left.

I sat there, thinking. We already found out how to get them back, and found four of her friends. Pretty soon they will be gone. That thought depressed me, but I knew it was the right thing to tell Twilight. They didn’t belong in this world, and as much as I wanted them to stay a bit longer, I knew that they had family and friends waiting for them back home. It would be selfish if I wanted them to stay. I closed my eyes, hopefully the time I have with them will be the best.

- - -

When I opened them again it was mid-day. I felt better after that little nap, and I went down stairs.

“Good afternoon Seethe, are you feeling any better?” asked Fluttershy. She was sitting down in the living room, watching T.V.

“I’m doing alright, what are you doing?” I saw that she had the discovery channel on. I don’t know how she managed to find it, but I guess she missed the wildlife in Equestria.

“Oh, I’m just feeling homesick…” She turned her attention back to the television, where they were talking about rabbits.

“Where is everyone else?” I looked around, surprised to see the house empty.

“They went to look for Rarity and Applejack, they should be back later in the evening.” Her attention was still directed towards the television.

I felt worried about them being out there by themselves, but as long as they didn't attract attention to themselves, they should be fine. I looked back at Fluttershy. She misses the nature, and in this town, there is barley any. I started to think, there had to be someplace that would still have some type of wildlife…

“Hey Fluttershy, since it’s just you and me, do you want to go to the zoo?” I hadn’t been there in a long time, but I thought that she might enjoy it. She looked at me, confused.

“Zoo? What is a zoo?”

“It’s a place where you can see all the different types of animals of the world. Most of the time you just look at them, but there is a petting zoo there if memory serves. You can go and play with the little animals.” I don’t know if it was the part about seeing different animals, or playing with the small ones, but she smiled and jumped to her feet.

“That sounds like something I would like, can we go?”

“Sure Fluttershy, we can go right after we get something to eat for lunch.”

She had been so excited about it that she ended up rushing through her meal. I was happy that I relieved her of her homesickness, she had looked too gloomy, and I never liked it when someone was feeling glum. When we finished, she couldn’t wait to get out the door. She was always a few steps ahead of me, so I told her where to turn so she wouldn’t wonder off. She kept asking me about the different animals that were going to be there. I smiled.

“Fluttershy, there are a lot of animals there, It is much better to see them in person-er in pony then hearing it from someone’s mouth,” I said. I wanted her to be surprised when she saw the animals. She pouted at me, but she kept moving.

We crossed a bridge that lead into town. I stopped and looked around. This bridge brought back memories, sad ones unfortunately. This bridge was where I heard of my brother’s death, where my parents told me about their long vacation, and where I found out that Steve betrayed me. I looked down at the traffic. I always came here even though this place cursed me. Multiple times I had an urge to jump, land on a car, or the pavement and end this horrible life. Today the urge was there still, but it wasn’t as strong as usual. I guess these girls helped with that.

“Seethe? Whats wrong?” Fluttershy asked. She noticed that I wasn’t following, and she must have picked up that I wasn’t feeling the best.

It took me a few seconds to look back at her. “Nothing. We should get going, the zoo is really close.”

As we were walking away, I looked back at the bridge. I had a strange feeling that I would be coming back one day.

- - -

The Zoo was packed with people. I didn’t know that people still went here, I guess this was a great family bonding past time or something. That didn’t bother Fluttershy, which I was shocked about. She was really interested in an animal with a very long neck.

“Whoa! What is that creature?” She sounded like a little kid finding an awesome looking toy.

“That’s a Giraffe,” I told her.

“It has such a long neck! It can reach the top of the trees!” She looked at the next animal.

“Whoa! What a long nose!” She ran towards the big grey animals.

“Those are elephants, yeah they have huge noses.” I think some of Fluttershy’s fascination rubbed off on me. I looked at the elephants and smiled. Fluttershy turned her attention to another animal.

“What is that? It has a weird mane on it!”

She ran towards the animal and accidentally spooked it. It let out a loud roar, and Fluttershy leaped back in fright. She hid behind me.

“That was a lion, let’s skip this one.” I pulled her along to the other animals of the zoo. We saw a lot of different animals, tigers (she didn’t like them as much as the lion), penguins (She didn’t want to leave when I tried to pull her along), Zebras (She tried to communicate with one of them, thinking it was related to Zecora) and a lot of other animals that she found interesting. Watching her run around, excited to see new and strange creature, made me remember when I was like that back in the day. I smiled at the memory of my brother and I looking at all the cool animals. We would run around, trying to see all the animals, but our parents would grow bored and want to leave. My smile quickly faded at that thought.

We walked over to the petting zoo area. Fluttershy asked me if there were going to be any bunnies there.

“I’m not sure,” I admitted.

She put on a sad face. “Oh. That’s ok.”

Another homesick moment. She missed Angel.

“Well, there might be other small animals you might like, and there might be a bunny there.” I didn’t want her to feel bad again. She looked up at me and gave me a small smile.

I wasn’t expecting there to be a rabbit, but there turned out to be quite a few. Fluttershy ran to them and started petting them. She had this huge grin on her face, it made me smile.

She seemed out of place there, not because it was full of animals and she was the only human, but she was the only human above the age of 14 there. The adults and some kids were looking at her weird, what was a teenage girl doing in a petting zoo acting like a little kid? It disturbed me a little, did it really matter? I would’ve left it alone, but then a group of teenagers came in. There were only two of them, a boy and a girl. They were probably around the age of 15. They acted like some of the kids in my school: cocky, thinking they are better than everyone. I rolled my eyes, today just got worse.

“Seethe, do you want to pet some of the bunnies?” I heard Fluttershy ask. I looked at her, smiled, and shook my head.

“Look at that, there is a chick in the bunny pen,” said the boy.

“She is so not acting her age,” said the girl.

I looked at them, you guys are not acting your age. Why were they here anyway, just to cause misery? I looked around at the adults, none of them were looking at the kids like they had been looking at Fluttershy before. I saw the boys eyes light up. He whispered something in the girls’ ear, and she giggled.

“What are you guys planning?” I said to myself. I saw the guy walk into the rabbit pen, pretending like he was minding his own business. I saw him eyeball the pen next door, the pig pen. He smiled as he inched closer to Fluttershy.

“Don’t you do it…” I said. I started walking towards them. The guy was already beside Fluttershy, who was looking around for a bunny. The guy ‘pretended’ to trip and he started to stumble. Fluttershy noticed him, and tried to back up, but she couldn’t move back more with out falling over to the other pen. I saw what the kid was going to do before he did it.

“Hey!” I yelled out, but no one turned. The guy pushed Fluttershy, and she fell over into the pig pen. Mud and other debris flew as she hit the ground. The boy and girl started laughing, some of the adults started to as well, probably thinking that she fell over by accident. I saw Fluttershy get up, mud all over her face and clothes. She looked around at the people laughing at her, and put her head down. I saw tears streaming down her face. She tried to wipe them, rubbing more mud onto her face. Feeling embarrassed, she started to run towards the nearest bathroom.

“Fluttershy!” I called out to her, but she kept running.

“Did you see that? That was awesome!” the boy said, trying to catch his breath from laughing so hard.

“She must be so embarrassed right now!” the girl said, chuckling to herself.

I felt anger starting to rise inside of me. Poor Fluttershy, she hadn’t done anything wrong. She didn’t deserve that. I walked towards the kids.

“What the hell was that for?!” I yelled at them. They looked at me in surprise.

“What? It was a joke,” the girl said.

“Come on, it was funny!” the guy said, trying not to laugh.

“You thought that was funny?! You guys are sick!” I was so mad, I pushed the guy, who fell into the pig pen. I didn’t mean to make him fall in there, but I think subconsciously, I was aiming for that.

The girl gasped as mud flew onto her. The guy slowly got up, and he started to wipe the mud off of him.

“That’s it, your dead now!” he said to me, like I was threatened by him. I towered over him, glaring down at his muddy face.

“Bring it punk,” I said in a very calm voice. I don’t think of myself as the intimidating type, but the kid looked terrified right then, he almost fell again trying to get out of the pen. I looked at the adults around us. They were staring at me as if I were some type of insect they just noticed. I walked away, I needed to find Fluttershy.

It took a while, but I finally found her sitting down on a bench, staring down at the Zebra. She had gotten almost all of the mud off of herself, except for some little bits that clung to her clothes. She was still crying. I felt guilty. It was my fault, I took her out here, I wasn’t fast enough to stop the kid form pushing her, and I wasn’t there to help her after she was pushed. I walked over to her. She noticed me and started to wipe away some of her tears.

“Hey Fluttershy. I’m so sorry about that, I should’ve stopped him when I saw him trying to get closer to you.” I felt worse saying it out loud.

She looked up at me, red-eyed. “It’s ok Seethe. I’m fine now, see.” She looked like she wanted to hide and never be seen again.

I sat down beside her. “Do you want to go home?”

She didn’t look at me, but she nodded.

“Ok, let’s get up and go home.” I put my hand out to help her up, but she just sat there.

“Fluttershy?” I asked.

“Seethe…” She looked at me. “Thank you.”

I raised an eyebrow. “Thank you?”

She nodded. “I know that this trip wasn’t as you planned, but I was happy for a while. Some of these creatures look so beautiful.” She stared down at the zebra. “When I left after he pushed me, I saw what you did. You stood up for me. The whole time I’ve been in this world, I have seen some very mean people. You were the only one that tried to be nice.” Her voice was cracking as tears formed in the corner of her eyes. “Thank you Seethe. I don’t know how I would’ve gotten along in this world without you and Twilight finding me.”

I patted her shoulder. “Fluttershy, I should be thanking you. I never would’ve imagined having friends like you guys. You guys were the best thing that happened to me in a long time.” Every word was true. The day that Twilight came to my door, I was at the breaking point. I had enough of all the teasing and bullying, no one was helping me, and I had no where to go.

Fluttershy did something that would’ve made Kevin want to punch me. She hugged me. I never imagined getting a hug from Fluttershy, but it felt nice. I hugged her back. It didn’t feel awkward to me, she just wanted to be comforted. After a few minutes I told her that we should get going. She smiled at me, and nodded.

I wasn’t expecting to see everyone back home when we arrived. Twilight was reading her book again while Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash were watching T.V.

“Where did you guys go?” Twilight asked, glancing at us from the corner of her eye.

“We went to the zoo,” Fluttershy said.

“Zoo?” twilight asked. I forgot they didn’t know what a zoo was.

“It’s a place that had some interesting animals that we’ve never seen before.” Fluttershy sounded happy.

“Wow, that sounds like the perfect place for you Fluttershy. How did you know she liked animals Seethe?” Twilight asked.

“Lucky guess?” I said. I almost got caught again. I needed to change the subject before they asked any more questions. “So how was the search?”

“We didn’t find either of them, although we found out that there is a new girl enrolling in your school tomorrow,” Rainbow Dash said, she turned away from the television to look at us.

“You think she is one of your friends?”

“We’re guessing, if she is new, then it’s a likely chance,” Twilight said. Her attention was on the book again. “So we’re going to your school tomorrow.”

“Uh, no. I’m not having what happened on Friday happen tomorrow,” I said.

“But if it is one of our friends then we need to come with you. They wont believe you if you try to tell them.” Twilight stared at me. She sounded annoyed.

“Twilight I-“

“Hey, how do you think everyone is doing back in Equestria?” I heard Pinkie Pie ask.

“Twilight, you didn’t tell them?” I sounded a little annoyed myself.

“Sorry, I forgot.” She blushed.

I gave them the quick explanation of what happened when I passed out. The other three looked at me weird, but a nod form Twilight got them to believe me. I guess they trusted her more than me.

“So everyone is freaking out?” Rainbow Dash asked.

“And a book might get us back home?” Fluttershy asked.

“And you turned into a stallion?!” Pinkie Pie gasped.

“Yes, yes and…yes Pinkie Pie. We can’t do anything about this yet until we find everyone else. Right now, I’m tired, and I want to get some sleep, tomorrow is going to be tough.”

They looked at me funny, but I didn’t want to talk about it. The way that they looked at me when I was telling the story, I didn’t like that type of attention. Especially when they were looking at me as if I were crazy. I usually get that look at school, but from them, I felt like a freak. I went to my room and laid down on my bed. I needed some rest after today.

“Seethe, make sure you turn that alarm clock down! I don’t want to be woken up like that again!” I heard Twilight yell at me.

I smiled. “Ha! I’ll try to remember that.”

Darkest Day

I'm back! I had a nice break from writting, but I'm glad that I'm back. Thank you guys for waiting over a month. Therizzen and Skwoogle for editing. Now I know you guys want to start reading but I have some more stuff to say. This chapter has swearing in it (as usual) so brace yourself for that. Also this chapter is darker then the others (And this isnt like the last chapter where I said it and nothing bad actually happened. This is dark, and if you want proof before you read go and ask my editors.) With all that in mind, you may now read, unless you already started and this was just pointless warnings.

“Look at him he’s crying!”

I blinked hard. I remembered that voice. It was from a long time ago, but that was my old bully Paul back in grade 3. I saw him and a few guys bullying some kid that had his face covered. I was confused, he should’ve been in college by now or something, why did he look like he is in grade 3 again? To my horror when the kid removed his hands I saw my own face. This was a memory that I had probably been suppressed.

“Aww, poor little Seethe is a cry baby. Why don’t you go home and cry to your mommy!” Paul and his friends laughed as they started to push me around.

“Hey! I thought I told you to leave him alone!” I heard a familiar voice coming from the edge of my memory. I saw the little me smile as Paul and the other guys ran away. I turned and saw Josh walking towards little me.

“Big Brother!” the little me said as he ran to him giving him a big hug. I smiled. I couldn’t believe I forgot this memory.

‘Geez, those guys really did a number on you Seethe,” Josh said. He was inspecting the injuries I had received. They weren’t bad, a few minor bruises and scratches. When he was done he looked in the direction of Paul and his friends. “How many times is it going to take for them to leave you alone?”

The little me shrugged. He went from crying his eyes out to not caring anymore, guess that was the effect I got when I had my brother around, nothing could hurt me. Josh patted my back. “Come on, let’s get you home.” The little me held hands with Josh as the two walked off.

The scene changed and I was older now. I was at my favorite bridge, watching the traffic go by under me. I sat on the edge wondering how my brother was doing. He left a few months ago to do some training flying jets. My mom and dad were against it because they thought he wasn’t good enough for something like that, but I gave him the encouragement he needed to continue. We got mail from him now and again, saying what new things he had learned and how excited he was that he will soon fly a plane. My parents would get angry every time they read them and get mad at me for taking their “little boy” away from them. That day slowly came back to me though, as I saw myself answering a text. My eyes widened as I looked at the text, and I could only assume it was the one my father sent me. Your Brother is dead. That’s all it said, no come home quick or I’m so sorry Seethe, but…

“He’s lying,” I said to myself, “there is no way he died, I’d know about it….” I didn’t sound so sure and that scared me for a minute. I decided to walk home to make sure he was lying.

He wasn’t. After they talked to me about the message they got from the camp he was at, they said that something had malfunctioned while he was testing something in the air. Unfortunately, he hadn’t been to fix it before it hit the ground. I couldn’t believe what happened, Josh was gone? While I sat there feeling horrible my parents decided to unleash their anger.

“Look what you did Seethe…” my mother told me.

I looked up at her. “What?”

“If you hadn’t convinced him to go then he wouldn’t have died!” she screamed at me. “It’s all your fault!” She cried while she was still screaming at me.

“My fault?” I thought about it, I did tell him to go even when they said no.

“You killed your brother! Are you happy Seethe?!” she yelled at me.

“I…I didn’t…” I said in a small voice. I wanted my brother.

“Honey, let’s not do this now-“ my dad tried to reason.

“Why did you kill him?!” she insisted on continuing.

“I didn’t…” I put my hands up to the side of my head, trying to block out her yelling. No, it’s wasn’t real.

“Why didn’t you go instead! Your just useless around here, you don’t have anything to look forward to in life!” The voice didn’t sound like my mom this time. It sounded more like me.

“Shut up…” I felt blood rushing to my head

“Your just some freak who doesn’t know what to do anymore!”

“I said…“ I inhaled deeply, “SHUT UP!”

- - -

I woke up from that nightmare, but the aftermath of that dream always did have some side effects on me. I realized that my throat was sore, and to my best guess I had been screaming in my sleep. I felt my face was wet, and guessed that I had been crying. What was worse though was the hole in my wall that I found my fist in. That dream always brought out the worst in me, because after that day I became more angry not only with my parents but with myself. I was surprised that no one had woken up with all that yelling, I guess they were all just heavy sleepers. I looked at the time.

“It’s only 5:56 am…” I whispered to myself. I couldn’t sleep again after that dream, so I decided that since I went to bed early yesterday, Id get up early too. I got out of my bed and started to tip toe out of my room. I went to the bathroom and took a quick shower. Better now than when all the girls are awake, don’t want them to…never mind.

I got out of the shower feeling refreshed. I decided that since I’m not going back to sleep I might as well do something for a bit before school starts. I went down stairs and grabbed a quick bite to eat so at least I ate something. I walked over to the living room and was going to watch some TV before it was time to go, but someone already beat me there. I almost sat on her but luckily I saw her rainbow colored hair before I sat down.

“D-Dash?” I asked as quietly as possible. She didn’t stir. I realized that she was asleep on the couch. She probably slept walked and ended up lying down on the couch. I smiled at how peaceful she looked. I saw something in her hand and was surprised to see it was a picture of my family. It wasn’t the best family picture, my brother and I couldn’t sit still. I guess she wanted to learn more about me and my life, which I found a little odd. Right behind that picture was something that made me shudder. I don’t know how she had found that picture, but I’m hoping that she hadn’t looked at it. I grabbed both pictures and stuffed them in my pocket.

“Maybe you weren’t sleep walking,” I said to her as I patted her head. She smiled a bit. I saw a blanket on the floor and covered her up. I turned to go back upstairs but saw the calendar.

“April 16th.” I felt a wave a guilt and sadness wash over me. Today was the day, the day my brother had died. I let that sink in for a few minutes. Today I would have to visit his grave, and I’ll have to avoid talking much to everyone, because today is the only day where I couldn’t control my anger. I looked back at the sleeping Rainbow Dash. “I’m sorry, but today you guys might not like me.”

- - -

I left a note for them saying that I have some stuff to do today, so I’m not going to be here when you get up, meet you at school. I didn’t want to leave them alone, but I was afraid. If they saw me at my worst, they might think I’m another jerk they met, and I didn’t want that. I walked over to my Brothers grave since I had time to kill. I stood at his grave thinking about what it would’ve been like if I hadn’t pressured him into going away.

“He’d still be alive.” I heard my father’s voice inside my head.

“We would be a happy family again.” This time it was my mother’s.

“You’d still have a brother.” my own voice said.

“Shut up,” I told all the voice inside my head. Already the anger had nested inside of me. I noticed the time and completely forgotten about school.

“I’ll see you later bro.” I walked towards the school. Today wouldn’t be a good day, I could already tell that. I might snap out at anyone, and I’m afraid of who will take the heat. Hopefully it would be Steve, if I snap on him he’d think twice about picking on me again. On the other hand if I snapped on Kevin or any of the ponies-turned-human…i’d be a monster.

My thoughts were interrupted when my cell phone rang. It was my dad. I had a good feeling what this was about. I opened my phone.

“Hey,” I said plainly.

“Don’t forget to visit your brother’s grave,” He said. Again no ‘hi how are you’, or ‘how have you been’.

“I already went.” My tone was getting angrier.

“Oh, we though you forgot,” He said. I heard my mother in the background say something about me always doing that.

“At least I’m here!” I started to snap. “Where the hell are you?!”

“Hey, calm down it was a joke,”

“Calm down? Calm down?! Do you know how long it’s been since I’ve heard form you guys? Since you guys left five months ago!”

I heard ruffling on the other end as my mother took the phone. “Seethe, we’re trying to enjoy our vacation. Don’t use that tone on us,” She said in that bitchy tone of hers.

“Fuck you!” I yelled into the phone, scaring some seniors who were walking past me.

“What did you just say to-“My mother tried to say before I hung up on her. I shoved the phone into my pocket and stormed off towards the school. I couldn’t believe them! They called me to remind me to visit my brother. I’m sure they forgot. I heard my phone ring again, and saw it was my dad again.

“What?” I said, trying to control my anger.

“Seethe, we called the house earlier, but some girl picked it up. She said you were out. Why is there a girl in our house?” my dad asked.

My anger quickly turned into panic. Crap, they answered the phone?!

“Sh-she had nowhere to sleep last night, so I offered her to stay at my place.” The second those words left my mouth I knew I was an idiot for saying that.

“You let a girl sleep over at our house?” I heard my mother again in the background, saying a bunch of swear words and calling me immature.

“She had nowhere else to go!” I tried to reason with them.

“Seethe you didn’t…” he let that trail off, unfortunately I knew what he was talking about.

“No dad, I didn’t do that.” I felt my face turning red.

“Ok ok. Well this Twilight seems ok,” My dad said. I hung up the phone. I felt angry, embarrassed, and a bit glad. I saw the school up ahead. I needed to talk to Twilight.

- - -

I saw Twilight walking in the halls alone. I guessed that she went to school alone today, good thing. I only had to watch one of them instead of four. She saws me and waved happily at me, but when she saw that I didn’t wave back she looked a little worried. As she got closer I saw her expression change from worried to nervous. I guess she saw that I wasn’t in a good mood.

“Did you answer the phone today?” I asked her before she was able to say anything.

“What? Um…yes.” She sounded a little nervous, like when we first met.

“Was it my parents?” I said, my voice was too calm.

“I think so.” It looked like she shrunk.

“Twilight…” I didn’t know what to say. I had an urge to yell at her and ask what right she had to answer my phone and talk to my parents, but I had another feeling telling me not to yell. She was my first friend and I should just forget the whole thing. I held my hand to my head. “I don’t know what to say right now. Just don’t do that again.”

She nodded, looking sad. I turned away. “Did you see your friend?”

She shook her head. Now I felt really bad for saying that to her. Before I could apologize, Kevin showed up.

“Hey, what’s up guys!” He punched my shoulder. I returned that hit with a glare which he recoiled from.

“Do me a favor, keep an eye on her.” I looked over at Twilight. “I need to be alone for a bit.” I stormed off. I can hear Twilight say something to Kevin, but I couldn’t understand what she was saying. I decided to go to class, even though I wasn’t in the mood to do work.

My first period class was English. We were talking about old fairy tales and what meaning they had hidden within them. I really didn’t care about it, I just read all the other stories that I grew up with. I was currently reading the story rumpelstiltskin when I heard someone say my name behind me.

“Why does Seethe look so down today? It’s to early for Steve to be picking on him.” a girl said

“What is today?” said a guy.

“April 16th, why?” the girl asked.

“You should stay a few feet back from him today. His brother died this day a few years ago, and he gets really angry around this time.” the guy explained.

I turned to face them. “Hey! Mind your own business!”

Both of them jumped back a bit. I went back to reading my book. “Damn it. I wish I could rip myself in two like you right now Rumpelstiltskin”

“Excuse me class,” My teacher said. “We have a new student today. She transferred from the college level and has moved up to the mixed. Please welcome Caroline Dalton.”

My heart stopped. Caroline Dalton? No this wasn’t happening. I looked to see the new girl and sure enough there she was. Her Bright red hair was tied into a pony tail. She looked around the room, eager to see the new kids that she would get along with.

“Hey!” she said to everyone. They all did their own hellos back. A few guys were checking her out; I needed to leave the room.

“Well we should have a seat open for you somewhere Caroline. Let’s see.” My teacher started to scan the room. There were two desks opened for her, one was next to the window, and the other was beside me. I saw the teacher look in my direction and I knew his answer.

“Why don’t you sit there?” He pointed to the desk next to me. “Right next to Seethe.”

Hey face turned from excitement to shock as she realized I was there. We looked at each other for a few minutes, unable to speak.

“Is there a problem?” our teacher asked.

“N-no there’s no problem.” She walked over and sat down beside me. We sat there in silence, not knowing what to say to each other. I turned to look at her, and at the same time she looked at me. We both looked away fast and our faces red. Finally one of us spoke.

“I see you missed me.” She said pointing down to my pocket. I realized that the picture Dash was holding of me and her was hanging out of my pocket. I stuffed it back in and tried to ignore her.

“Listen Seethe, I’m sorry ok?” she apologized.

“For what?” I asked, knowing the answer.

“I’m sorry I left you for Steve. It was a stupid mistake.” She sounded sincere about it.

“Sure was,” I mumbled.

“Seethe why are you acting like that? You were one of the nicest guys I knew. The only nice guy I dated for that matter.”

I looked at her, right in her eyes. “If that’s true then why did you dump me?” It’s the question I’ve been asking myself ever since she broke up with me. She never said why, she just left.

She sat there, her mouth open but nothing came out. I waited for her to say something, but it was like watching a glacier melt. Finally something came out.

“Seethe…“

“Pssst!” I heard Kevin outside the class room. I looked at him and he gestured to me to come outside.

“You’ve got to be kidding me,” I said putting my head down on my desk. I wanted to know what Caroline was going to say. I looked back at her. “Guess we’ll talk later, that is if you want to talk.” I got up and told the teacher I had to go to the bathroom. As I walked away I saw Caroline look sad. If it wasn’t today, I’d probably ask what’s wrong, but I was in no mood to be Mr. nice guy. When I got outside I saw Kevin looking around the hallways.

“Dude, I’m right here, what’s wrong?”

“I lost Twilight,” He told me.

“You lost Twilight? How did you lose Twilight?!” I glared at him.

“I don’t know, one minute she was beside me, the next she disappeared.” He sounded like he was panicking.

“Did you check the Library?”

“That was the first place I checked!”

I wanted to scream. Why was today the worst day of my life. My parents called me, Twilight talked to my parents, Caroline is now in my class, and Twilight is missing. How can this day get any worse?

“Seethe!” I heard Twilight yell.

That’s how. Kevin and I both looked at each other, then towards the hallway where we heard her. She was running down the hallway with someone that looked familiar. It was a girl with purple hair, but hers was different from Twilights. Instead of a pink highlight and straight, it was all purple and at the ends it was curled a bit. She looked more pretty too, and because of all that, I guessed that Twilight had found Rarity.

“Seethe, I’ve been looking for you everywhere.” Twilight told me.

I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. “What?”

“Twilight where have you been?” Kevin asked, sounding more relieved than angry.

“I just said I was looking for Seethe. I found Rarity, although it was a bit tough trying to get her away from everyone.”

“Yes, well, being popular has both its advantages and disadvantages.” Rarity said.

“You’re popular?” Kevin asked. “You just got here.”

“A lot of people in this school always follow the pretty ones around,” I noted.

Rarity giggled. “Thank you for the compliment.”

I rolled my eyes. “Twilight don’t do that again, you almost gave Kevin a heart attack.”

She lowered her head. “I’m sorry.”

“Come on Seethe, give her a break,” Kevin said.

“Hey, you were freaking out almost as much as me. She shouldn’t have done that.”

“She found her friend. She was happy till you said that.”

I rolled my eyes again. “Fine, I’m sorry ok.”

I heard the bell ring, first period was over.

“Damn it! I was going to see what Caroline was going to say,” I said angrily.

“Who?” Rarity asked.

“Nothing. Well since we’ve found Rarity, lets go home.”

“Seethe what’s wrong with you?” Kevin asked. “You’re acting really weird today.”

I looked at everyone. They all looked worried, although Rarity didn’t look as worried considering she just met me. I didn’t want to tell them what day it was today, it would pain me too much. I started to scratch my head, trying to think of an escape route out of this.

“I just have a lot on my mind right now.” I said. I didn’t know if they believed me, but they decided to leave me alone for a bit. I was glad they didn’t persist, because I had a feeling I was going to snap at one of these guys.

- - -

As we stepped outside to go home we had some unpleasant encounters.

“Seethe!” I heard Caroline’s voice coming from behind us. I inhaled deeply then turned to face her.

“Yeah?”

She stopped when she saw my company. She looked at Kevin first, then at the two girls beside me.

“Who are they?” she asked.

“Uh… that’s Kevin” I pointed towards Kevin, who grinned. Caroline nodded but kept staring at the others.

“Yeah hi, who are these two?” she glared them down. I stepped in front of them to break her eye contact.

‘What’s wrong?” I asked. I can see that she is upset at something.

“I just want to know who they are Seethe.” She tried to crane her neck to look past me but I kept getting in the way.

“None of your business,” I answered plainly.

“Seethe why are you acting like this?” she looked right at me, trying to see the answer somewhere on my face.

“Its because his brother died a few years ago today,” said someone who was coming up behind Caroline.

I looked past her, and to my horror I saw that it was Steve. How did he know about my brother? He looked pissed.

“Caroline we need to talk,” He said trying to control his anger.

She took a few steps back, clearly afraid of him. “What’s up Steve?”

He grabbed her arm and looked at her face. “Firstly, why are you with him?” He glared at me, which I returned with a huge grin. “And second, tell me why we broke up.”

“Oh, she broke up with you for no reason to eh?” I said. His glare was more menacing now, but I still grinned at him.

“Stay out of this brony.” He looked back at Caroline. “I said why did we break up?”

“Let go of me,” Caroline said, trying to get her arm free.

“Steve, she said let her go,” Kevin said, going to stand right beside me. Steve looked at both of us and laughed.

“This is a private conversation guys, butt out.” His tone was serious, like any minute he would attack.

“Steve, just leave her alone man,” I said.

Steve looked at me, grinned, and let her go… well he kind of threw her at us but he still let her go. I looked at her and asked if she was ok. She didn’t look at me but she said yes. I looked back at Steve, who was still grinning, but I can see that under that grin was anger. I smiled back and walked off.

“Seethe!” I heard Twilight yell. Before I asked what was wrong, I felt something heavy hit the back of my head. I started to fall to the ground as my head was spinning like crazy. I felt someone catch me right before I could hit the ground.

“Steve, what the hell was that for?!” I heard Kevin yell. I didn’t see him, my head was hurting too much for me to turn my head. Instead I saw Caroline, Twilight, and Rarity trying to keep me steady.

“Why don’t you go home and watch that stupid pony show Seethe?!” Steve yelled. “Go watch ponies prance around being stupid! Go and see those stupid characters again like Rainbow crash or Twilight or whatever their names were! Go live in that world where everyone is a stupid pony!” His rant went on but my gaze was on Twilight. I saw in her face that she understood a few things. One was now she knows why I knew she had a horn. Another thing was what a brony meant as Steve continued his rant. And finally why I freaked out on her the first time we met. She looked me right in the eye and I felt horrible. I saw a lot of confusion, but some anger was there too.

“Steve just leave before I beat the crap out of you again!” Kevin yelled back. I heard footsteps going away, and guessed that Steve finally left. When my head was feeling a bit better I got up and tried to walk home.

“Seethe… Is it all true?” Twilight asked. She sounded unsure for some reason, like she heard Steve wrong and wanted to make sure she heard something right. I nodded but I still tried to continue walking.

“Why?” her voice was a bit shaky. She swallowed and tried again. “Why haven’t you said anything?”

I stopped moving. I stood there not sure what to say.

“Twilight, maybe we should get-“ Rarity tried to calm her down, but Twilight didn’t want to.

“Seethe! Why?!” she yelled.

I turned around to face her. I had had the worst day so far, and now Steve had to say that… that one thing.

“What do you want me to say?” I asked her. She wasn’t satisfied with that answer.

“I want the truth!” I could see tears were forming in her eyes.

“I was afraid of your reaction ok.” My voice started to get shaky. “Like right now, you’re upset and mad because of this, and I’m so sorry for that.” I looked down at the ground. “When I first met you and your friends, I felt like nothing else mattered anymore besides taking care of you guys. I was going to tell you guys later, when the time was right, but now…” I didn’t finish, my voice didn’t want to cooperate with me. I looked back at Twilight, she was still mad. I felt horrible; My first friend hates me I kept thinking.

“I’m sorry,” I said and then I turned and ran. I couldn’t be there anymore. I felt like I just lost my brother again, and that pain was too much. I had to go somewhere. An idea popped in my head, I’ll go to the one place where I always go when I had bad news: the bridge.

- - -

I sat at the edge of the bridge, looking down at the traffic. What am I going to do now, Twilight hates me, and she is going to tell everyone else the news and they will hate me too. I was so deep in thought that I didn’t hear someone coming from the end of the bridge.

“So they finally found out what you are eh?” That voice…That stupid voice. I turned to see Steve standing at the end of the bridge, smiling his face off.

“So you all depressed now?” He said in a joking way.

“Leave me alone Steve, why do you have to torment me like this?” I felt so depressed that my voice was low.

“Because its fun! You trying to make friends, me shooting down your chances. Watching you crash and burn.” He started to laugh. “Ah, this is amazing.”

I put my head down. His whole reason was just to put me down even more than he already did when he pretended to be my friend? That’s a new kind of low.

“You thought you actually had friends didn’t you? Too bad you’re a freak and no one wants to hang with you!”

Something inside me clicked when he said that. “What did you call me?” I asked, my voice was calm.

I saw him smile. “Freak? What you don’t want to be called freak?”

That was it, that thing that made me click. I felt angry, really angry. He is calling me a freak? What the hell does he think he is?! I stood up and started to walk towards Steve.

“What you’re going to fight me? Come on Seethe, you and I know that’s not a good ide-“ I punched him in the cheek. He staggered a bit, but I didn’t let him take a breather. I punched as hard as I could in his gut. He doubled over, his head was now right at chest level. I stepped back and drove my foot right into his face. He fell over on his back groaning. I sat on his chest and raised my fist into the air.

“WHY DON’T YOU LEAVE ME ALONE!” every time I said a word, I punched him in the face. He tried to defend, but I shoved his hands away every time he tried. He tried to get up, but my body weight was too much for him as he was getting his face dented in. I kept whaling my fist into his face for a good ten minutes. It felt good to hit him, and I was feeling better every time I saw blood. He stopped moving after a while and I decided to stop. I was grinning like a mad man looking down at him. I looked at my hands and my grin vanished. They were covered in blood.

“Oh God.. ” I staggered back. “Oh God, what have I done.” I looked down at Steve, but he wasn’t moving. Did… did I kill him? No… No no no no no no! This wasn’t happening! What did I do?! Why didn’t I stop?!

“Steve!” I started to shake him but he laid there. I took several steps back till I hit the end of the bridge overlooking the traffic below. I looked over the edge, and that feeling come back, telling me to jump. Everything came back to me, my brother dying, my parents yelling, Twilight getting upset.

“….”. I started to climb onto the railing, this was it. I’m going to do it. I looked down, wondering where I was going to end up. Maybe in the middle of the road, or on top of a car. Either way, I was going to do it. I heard footsteps coming form behind me and I heard a gasp.

“What happened here?!” I heard someone but I didn’t look.

“Seethe, what are you doing?!” The voice was panicking. I heard feet pounding towards me. I didn’t want them to stop me, I made up my mind. I took that step forward.

Mixed Feelings

Hey, Thanks for being so patient. I wont waste much time with this so thank my editors for this chapter, I got some help from them (If you dont know who they are then look on my other chapters, I name them there)

I don’t remember much of what happened next. I remember hitting my head on the ground, it hurt so much. I kept hearing that person yelling my name, but they sounded far away. I had no idea what was happening until I cracked open my eyes. Everything was so blurry I couldn’t see anything properly. I blinked hard but it was still too ffuzzy The back of my head hurt like hell… wait… I fell forward, so if anything my face should be crushed. Why was the back of my head hurting instead? Maybe I flipped while falling or-

“Seethe! Are you ok?” That voice sounded so familiar, but I couldn’t figure out who it was. I heard footsteps pounding off to my right. More familiar voices were coming into earshot.

“Seethe!” they all yelled. My eyes got heavier, I couldn’t stay conscious. The last thing I saw was a shadowy figure looming over me.

“Seethe, don’t go to -“

I was in the hospital, sitting down in the waiting room with Rarity. We sat there in silence. I know that Rarity had no idea who Seethe was, and if anything she was just confused instead of sad. I, however, was still upset that he hadn’t said anything to any of us. He kept it all a secret? Hearing that our life was being watched felt… creepy. Who knows if we were being watched now for that matter. I saw Rarity looking at me, concerned.

“Twilight, are you ok? You look a little upset,” she asked me. She didn’t know what Steve meant when he told us Seethe’s secret, so I understood that she wasn’t angry like me. I didn’t want to explain it to her, so I put on a fake smile and nodded.

“I’m ok Rarity. I’m just thinking.”

“Was he a good friend of yours?” she asked.

I nodded, this time not answering her. I was hoping she would take it that I was upset about his condition, rather than being upset about what he hid from us. She bought it as she nodded, looking away. Now don’t get me wrong, I am worried about Seethe right now. The fact that he had just tried to kill himself made me assume that a lot of bad things had happened to him. Another hint of that was how we saw Steve passed out on the ground with blood pouring out of his face. If Kevin didn’t catch him when he did, Seethe might have died. Although if he caught him properly, then we wouldn’t have been here now. I saw Kevin and Caroline walk over to us. I jumped to my feet and ran to meet them, waiting to hear the news.

“Seethe is going to be fine,” Kevin assured us.

“Although that blow to the back of his head knocked him out. He is resting right now,” Caroline said. She looked at me weird, like she was analyzing me. I ignored her and looked directly at Kevin.

“How long?” I asked him. He looked a little puzzled.

“Uh, he’s going to be up in a few hours?” he told me a bit unsure.

I shook my head. “No, about the other thing. How long have you guys known?”

He understood now what I was trying to say, but he still looked unsure. “Since he met you. It took awhile for me because I didn’t believe it.”

“What are you guys talking about? And you still haven’t explained to me who they are,” Caroline interjected.

“It’s a long story Caroline,” Kevin tried to explain.

“Rarity and I are going back for the others. They are probably worrying about us,” I said.

Kevin looked at me. “You're not going to wait till he wakes up?” I shook my head. Kevin knew why I wanted to leave, though. “Are you still mad?”

“No,” was all I said. He could tell that was a lie though.

“Twilight, he didn’t want you to know because he thought you wouldn’t believe him.”

“Kevin, I don’t want to do this now. The others are probably worried,” I said. I wasn’t sure if I should trust Kevin after hearing that he had known aswell. I began to feel guilty thinking that way, these guys just wanted to help, right? Great, now I had mixed feeling. I couldn’t deal with this now, I needed to get to Seethe’s house and tell everyone what had happened.

When Rarity and I arrived, the first one to see us was Rainbow Dash. She ran to meet us, right behind her was Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie.

“What took you guys so long?” She stood there with her arms crossed. She looked at both of us, nonchalantly saying hi to Rarity before waiting for an answer. Rarity walked over to the others who hugged her and started asking her how she was. I didn’t know how to start, should I say what happened at school or the bridge? Dash seemed to notice that something was missing.

“Hold on, where is Seethe?” She tried to look out the window beside the door to see if he was coming in. I put my head down, I guess I knew where to start.

“Seethe… isn’t coming home for a while.” I said. At this the others joined in with Rainbow Dash as she raised an eyebrow.

“Not coming? What happened? Did Steve get to him again?” she asked.

“He isn’t hurt, is he?” Fluttershy asked, she put her hands up to her mouth. I wanted to say what happened, but I had a feeling that they wouldn’t be able to take the news all too well. I heard about Seethe spending some time with both of them, and he made them feel better in this world. If they heard that he had tried to kill himself… I didn’t know what would happen. Thankfully, Rarity thought of something.

He’s ok, He’s doing something at the school with Kevin right now. Hey Pinkie Pie, can you show me around the house?” Pinkie Pie nodded happily and brought Fluttershy with them as they took Rarity on a tour of the house. I needed some air, so I stepped back outside. I sat on the steps leading to Seethe’s front door. What was I going to do now?

“Twilight, what happened to Seethe?” I turned to see Rainbow Dash. She must’ve followed me. I gestured for her to sit down beside me, and I started to tell her what really happened.

“Seethe wasn’t having a good day today,” It sounded lame when it came out of my mouth then when I heard it in my head, but I stayed with that. “I’m not sure what triggered this, but…” I looked right at Dash. “He tried to…” Why couldn’t I say it? She sat there waiting to hear what I was going to say next, but the words didn’t want to come out of my mouth.

“He tried to what?” She waited. Out of the other girls, she probably could take the news. So why couldn’t I say it?

“He tried to –“ I tried again, but this time I was interrupted.

“Woof!” That was something I wasn’t expecting to hear. I looked at Rainbow Dash, wondering if she made that noise. She looked back at me and raised an eyebrow.

“Do you think I bark like a dog?” she said. We heard it again, but this time it was closer. In the distance across the street was a dog. As it got closer I saw its brown and white fur, and it looked strangely familiar. Dash and I both stood up and looked at each other.

“Is that?” we both said to each other. We looked back at the dog and smiled brightly.

“Winona!” we both cheered as the dog ran at us. How did she get to this world, and why is she still an animal while we were humans? Winona stayed at a distance but kept barking at us. We tried to get closer, but she started to run back the way she came, only to stop when she realized that we had stopped following.

“Does she want us to follow her?” Rainbow Dash asked.

“I think so,” I said. “I wonder if she knows where Applejack is.”

“Well we’re not going to find out by standing here,” Rainbow Dash said, she started to go after Winona.

“Come on Twilight, if she does bring us to Applejack then the whole gang is back together!” Dash seemed really excited about this. Of course I was too; finally our group of friends would be whole again. I started to chase Rainbow Dash.

- - -
After a good fifteen minutes of running, Winona decided to speed up. I was starting to lose my breath, but Rainbow Dash kept me going - trying to encourage me and saying that we’re almost there, even though she had no idea where they were going. I was glad that she was looking out for me, and that made my mind wander over to Seethe. He was looking after me too.

“Not this again,” I mumbled to myself. My mind was confused. On one hand I should be mad at Seethe for leaving out that crucial piece of information that he was basically watching our lives. But on the other hand, he had been there for us. He gave us a place to live, he became a good friend who would stick up for you, and he was one of the few people in this world that seemed like a good guy. I didn’t know what to think of this situation anymore.
I wasn’t paying attention because I ran into Rainbow Dash.

“Twilight!” she cried as she was pushed forward.

“Sorry,” I said quickly. I realized we stumbled into an open field. In the distance where Winona was running was what looked like a barn. It used to be red, but because it was pretty old the paint had started to shed, and the barn looked more brown than red. Despite it being an old building though, we saw people still working there. I looked over at Rainbow Dash, who grinned widely.

“How much do you want to bet that she is there?” She pointed to the barn. I smirked. That barn did seem like a likely choice, and the fact that Winona was running towards it made it even more likely. Before I was able to say anything though someone else was talking.

“Winona, ah thought ah told you to not do that again. Where do you go?” Winona started to bark and ran towards a girl with blonde hair, but on top of her head was a brown cowboy hat. It was definitely her.

“AppleJack!” we both yelled at her. She was startled a bit when she heard people yell her name, but when she saw us she had the largest grin imaginable.

“Twilight! Rainbow Dash!” She started to run over to us, and we did the same for her. When we were close, we hugged each other. Finally, we had found everyone. I was so happy that I could’ve cried. After a few minutes of chatting and explaining to Applejack what happened to us we finally settled down.

“This is amazing!” Applejack said. “So everyone is safe?”

“Yeah, we were all separated, but we all found each other later,” Rainbow Dash said.

“I think you got lucky Applejack. You found a place where you fit in almost perfectly. Did you have any trouble around people?” I asked.

“Ah had some trouble, but there wasn’t a lot of teasing. Here at the farm though, no one did any of that. Ah was glad,” she said.

“Lucky you,” Rainbow Dash said. “I had to hide my hair from everyone so I wouldn’t get made fun of.”

“Oh. Dash I’m sorry, Ah didn’t mean to brag,” Applejack quickly apologized.

“That’s ok. Anyway, the trip here wasn’t entirely bad. sure I may have gotten teased a lot, but we met some really nice guys that helped us out.” Dash explained, she smiled a bit when she said that last part.

“Who are they?” Applejack asked. I had no idea why, she probably didn’t know anyone here.

“One is Kevin, he’s a really tough guy, but he’s really nice when you get to know him,” I said.

“The other is Seethe. He was the first one we met, and he’s always looking out for us. I guess he understands what it’s like getting teased for being different,” Dash said.

Applejack raised an eyebrow. “Seethe?”

“It’s a weird name,” I said, smiling.

“No, well yeah, but that’s not what ah was going to say,” Applejack said, “I’ve heard that name before.”

“What, really?” Dash and I said, shocked.

“Yeah. There is a kid who lives here named Sid, he told me that Seethe was trying to help a girl out when some guy named Steve was going to bully her,” Applejack explained. Hearing this I looked at Rainbow Dash. She was that girl that would’ve been bullied if Seethe hadn’t jumped in. I never thanked him for that, he didn’t have to stick his neck out like that, but he did.

“Yeah, I forgot about that,” I said, feeling guiltier than before. I’m such an idiot, I got mad at Seethe for hiding that secret. I bet he was going to tell us when the time was right. He really was just trying to look out for us, and I yelled at him and caused him to…

“Twilight, are you crying?” I heard Applejack ask.

I didn’t say anything, but the tears that were flowing down my cheek probably told them that I was hurt or something. I had to finish telling Rainbow Dash what happened to Seethe.

“Hey Dash…” I saw her looking at me. “I think I can tell you what happened to Seethe now.”

- - -

I told them everything, well not everything. I left out what Steve said to us, but I told them everything else. I started with Seethe having a really bad day, and went all the way to what we saw at the bridge. I saw their expressions change as I told the story. Mostly it was surprise and shock, but sometimes they were sad. When I finished the story, I waited to see what they were going to say.

“Seethe is in the hospital right now?” Rainbow Dash asked, her voice was shaking a bit.

“Yes. Kevin accidentally knocked him over and he hit his head on the concrete,” I explained.

“Wonder what type of misery he had to be in to make him want to do that in the first place,” Applejack said. Dash and I had little clues to what that misery was, but we never got the whole thing.

“Maybe we should go see him,” Dash said. Before I could say anything I heard Rarity’s voice yelling my name in the distance.

“Twilight!” every few seconds she would yell, and every time that happened she sounded closer. Finally we saw her and she began running towards us.

“Rarity?” Applejack asked, confused.

“You don’t recognize her?” Dash asked.

“Ah do, ah’m just wondering why she’s running through a dirt patch and not trying to avoid it.”

When she was in front of us, she was exhausted. “Twilight…” She gasped for air. ”Call from Kevin.” Another gasp. ”Seethe is waking up.”

At the sound of that I felt a wave of happiness rush through me. I looked at Applejack. “Do you want to meet Seethe?”

She raised her eyebrows at me. “Now why in tarnation would ah not want to do that?”

I looked back at Rarity. “You want us to wait while you catch your breath?”

“Oh please…*gasp* would you kindly?”

My eyes slowly opened, I must’ve been tired, because it took a while to open them. I slowly realized that I was not on the bridge anymore, nor was I in my room. A hospital was my guess because I also saw that I was in a hospital bed. I blinked as I looked around the room. I noticed Kevin listening to his ipod in the corner of the room… Wait that’s my ipod he’s listening to!

“Dude, if you’re going to take my stuff, just ask first.” My throat felt funny as I spoke, but some water would help that.

He widened his eyes when he saw me. “Holy crap! You woke up faster then what the doctor said!” He ran over to me as I slowly got out of the bed. “Whoa! Are you sure you should be doing that?”

I looked at him as I stood straight up and stretched. “Yeah, I’m feeling pretty good. Now why do you have my ipod?”

“Oh, well I got bored so I wanted to listen to some music. What is this one song?” He stuck an ear bud in my ear.

“Nightmare night, now give it back!” I grabbed it right out of his hands. He laughed as I rolled up my headphones but he stopped when he saw my hands.

“Do they hurt?” I was confused by what he meant. I looked down at my hands and saw them bruised and scabbed. I remembered the bridge, and me walking over to Steve, really mad…

“Oh god… Steve.” I felt a little woozy and almost fell over, but Kevin caught me.

“Whoa there. He’s ok, but he won’t come out of the hospital for a few days.” I felt better knowing that, but still I put him in here.

“Kevin I- “ I started to say before he stopped me.

“You had a bad day, its ok man.” He smiled at me. I smiled back. I was glad I had a friend like him. He helped me straighten up, and then I looked around the room.

“You’re the only one here?” I asked, wondering if anyone else would show up.

“Naw. Caroline was going to stay, but her parents called her back and she had to go.” Hearing that I didn’t know if I should feel glad that she would’ve stayed or glad that she was gone. Kevin continued, “Twilight and rarity were here.”

I looked at Kevin. “Is she mad?” I was hoping that she wasn’t, but Kevin gave me a small nod. I couldn’t believe she found out. She must be pissed at me right now, how can I face her again? My shoulders slumped.

“I called them to come see you, but I don’t know if they are going to come.” I nodded, I didn’t know if they were still going to stay with me after all this. My thoughts were interrupted when we heard a nurse call for me.

“Seethe, you have some visitors.” I looked at Kevin, a bit hopeful. “Do you think they got your message?”

He shrugged. “Only one way to find out.” He shoved me through the door. I stumbled into the hallway, at the end of it stood the visitors. I saw Rainbow Dash, who smiled when she saw me. Rarity followed behind, she was looking back at the blonde behind her. She pointed towards me and said something that I couldn’t hear, but I could only guess that she was telling her who I was. There was a dog next to the blonde, It looked familiar. A nurse saw teh dog and started shouting at the girls to get rid of it. In the back was Twilight, she wouldn’t look directly at me, which pained me a lot.

“I knew you were going to be ok,” Rainbow Dash said to me. She gave me a quick hug, which I was surprised about considering that I never got one from her before. Rarity walked up to me.

“Seethe, this is Applejack.” She pointed to the blonde behind her. I was shocked, they found her? They found everyone now? Applejack looked me up and down, then smiled.

“Howdy,” she greeted me.

I smiled back. “Hey, glad to finally meet you.”

“We found her on a farm,” Rainbow Dash said to me. I suppressed a chuckle, I wasn’t surprised they found her there. I guessed the dog with her was Winona, but I’m not quite sure why she is here with them. My attention was fixed on Twilight, who still looked away. I felt so bad and guilty that I looked away too. There was silence, everyone was waiting to see what was going to happen next. I couldn’t take it anymore, I opened my mouth.

“Twilight, I’m sorry tha- “ I was cut off when I felt something hit my chest. Twilight ran at me and gave me a huge hug, burying her head in my shirt. I was so confused right then and there that I started to stutter.

“Seethe,” she said, her voice was shaky and I had a feeling that she was crying now, “I’m sorry. I know why you were keeping that a secret, and I feel terrible that I thought so wrongly of you.” She looked up at me. Tears were at the corner of her eyes, waiting to fall. She held me tight and she didn’t want to let go. “When I yelled at you and you were going to jump, I thought that I caused that. Please Seethe, don’t do that again.”

I wrapped my arms around her, my eyes started to water up too. “I promise Twilight.” She wasn’t mad at me anymore, but why was she was blaming herself? “What I did had nothing to do with you, but I’m sorry I caused you to think like that.” I felt her hug tighter, like she was afraid I was going to disappear on her.

“I think she’s attached to you Seethe,” Kevin said, he probably had a smile on his face. I notice that everyone else was smiling. They all stayed quite. Finally after a long time, Twilight let me go. I felt like a huge burden was now off my chest, now she knows and she isn’t mad.

“So…” Kevin said, probably feeling a bit awkward standing there. “Want to go check up on everyone else?”

I put my arm around Twilight’s shoulders, feeling like an older brother. I looked down at her. She was smiling up at me, and I smiled back. “Yeah, lets go do that.”
