After his meeting of the Cutie Mark Crusaders, Blitzen the Kirin writes letters to them. Visit later
Some time has passed since the CMCs discovered Hope's Asylum, and met the ponies and Kelpie living there, but one in particular, a not-so-young Kirin colt named Blitzen, was somewhat of a fond memory to the girls, especially Sweetie Belle. Still, time and distance changes everypony, and these letters and stories reflect the changes that occur.
What starts as letters eventually brings the Kirin to Ponyville, and there, a whole new world of friends he never knew find him.

Meant as a casual follow-up to my other story, where the CMC find Blitzen and Hope's Asylum. Some teases of young romance are mentioned, but kept at just that. Perhaps future friendshipping as well. Starting around Chapter 4, there is heavy drama and some issues brought out briefly. Just wanted to warn people!
I write thee today as I have to apologize. I had been worried about my older sister. Well, I know she is not mine sister, but I care for her as though she was. I had dreams and nightmares of the Griffon lands where she is off to finish business, and wish to write thee and ask how thou art doing? I shall eagerly await thy reply. Blitzen of Hope's Asylum.
Blitzen finished his letter eagerly. He had hoped to write more, but in his somewhat troubled state, he couldn't concentrate. It was around 2 am and both Silhouette Shield, the "bat pony" and Wonder-Colt, an Earth Pony and former Royal Guard, were sleeping in a room nearby. The Kirin hope not to wake them, when he felt a presence in the room near him.
"Don't worry cutie, I am not going to hurt you!" The stealthy dark pony said, from behind him. She came close to him, but felt him edge away, so she stayed back out of respect to her host's wishes.
Blitzen was startled at first that she tried to touch him, but adjusted his hooves slightly, causing the electric build-up in his mane to ground out. Once that occurred, he came closer to the unusual pony, and held her tightly. "I had a most frightful dream. Mine sister, she..didn't come back! I miss her so much." he said, and wept openly.
Silhouette was going to quickly joke around with the Kirin, when a sudden memory of Wonder pounding into her head that he's lived a century, but dang you if you break his heart! He's still a little colt at heart hit her, and she, surprisingly held on to her host and let her long hidden motherly instincts take over. "I don't know much about why your sister left, but she'll be ok. She probably as tough as you, and I know you can handle yourself, kiddo!"
"I am not a child! I may be, but I am special...and I hate it! I want to go to Ponyville, and see her again! She makes me feel so...so much like Sister. Like I am an equal, but I cannot. I never even left the walls of this refuge! I am scared!" the Kirin said somewhat angrily at the female Opliptera. He wasn't mad at her, but lately, especially after Princess Luna reminded him of his physical age, he hated that no one but Sweetie Belle and her friends cared that he was, still a colt.
The noise woke Wonder up, and he entered the room seeing his Kirin friend upset, and naturally, blamed the often rude Silhouette, first thing. "What did you say to him? I told you he's a colt! I swear if you were flirting with him or suggesting things about his crush I'll..."
"Whoa hey! I am not saying anything, Wonder! I was just, being here for him! I actually haven't said much to him, other than what is wrong. Don't worry, I'll expect an apology from you later! I am going to see Zed, don't wait for me!" The angry mare said, and carefully separated herself from the upset colt, and flew out fast.
Bless her, and her impaitent...never mind, Wonder thought to himself. He knew why Blitzen was upset, and if he could help him calm down, he could get back to sleep again. "Blitz, I wasn't going to tell you until tomorrow, but, Miss Fluttershy from Ponyville would like to visit that whale they have in Baltimare, but, she needs a special pony who can care for her animals while she is gone. I know you like animals, and take care of Manny very well, but, would you like to go there, and have a play to stay while she takes care of..." Wonder never got to finish.
"Yes, I can see them! I can see...her!" His eyes closed and imagined what must have looked crazy to Wonder. He imagine himself and his Sweetie spending another night talking, and telling stories, and maybe even kissing again! He quickly threw that rude memory out...if his Sister found out he disrespected any Filly or Mare, he would be punished most severely. "Yes, I would like to do so! I would love to talk to regular Ponies and..."
"Ok Blitz...first thing first. I am going to write to her tomorrow, and we shall see if she is ok with you coming over and staying at her place and caring for her animals. I know she'll trust you when she sees how well you act around her animals. But I want to see if she would approve. There is also the issue of having an adult watch over you there. Ponyville is too far for Kellie to travel without water, and I wouldn't want to bug any of the other couples. So, let me figure that out. Perhaps I could ask Rainbow Dash or Miss Sparkle.." Wonder said.
Despite the fact this process would take days to complete, Blitzen already left and was packing sets of things to take, and if not for Wonder coming in and stopping him, he would have made his way over to the new town that coming morning. Still tiredness took over the colt, and he was soon asleep, hugging his Earth Pony friend before sleeping. "I thank thee, Wonder!"
Wonder was ready for bed to, but thoughts had occurred in his mind. First, was his apology to Sillie, but he knew she was with her fiance' and thoughts of walking in on them...eww! Second, was perhaps a quick trip into Ponyville, to ask those he rescued for an adult willing to care for the young Kirin. Luna knows, Rapi would have his head if he went alone! Lastly, his own plans to recruit others for his plan with Silhouette. This would have to be spoken to the young Kirin, and to the Kelpie, Kellie, as by the time Fluttershy came back, he would start his journey north towards the Crystal Empire. "All in due time, for now, sleep!"

Normal morning routines included de-energizing the Nikola Tori-Coil, and getting breakfast ready for himself. However, Blitzen was beyond feeling normal today, and only de-energize the electricity giving tower for day levels, and skipping breakfast, before going in full trot to Zed the Zorse's house. He wanted to tell his new bat pony, or Opliptera friend, as Wonder had corrected him, about his future visit to Ponyville! He was so excited, that he ignored the playful batter behind the door and opened the door anyway, scaring the couple, who were very much still in bed.
"Who the hell are...? Oh, Blitzen!?! You really should have knocked! Me and Zed, we are..um, we are.." She struggle to hide herself under the blanket with her fiance', who was mumbling something about being almost done.
"I didn't know that thine two were breeding before marriage, but it's ok. I shan't tell anypony!" Blitzen said proudly, and sat over in the other room. He was still very happy, but had no idea that interrupting certain activities was not only rude, but wrong on many levels.
"How does he...wait, he is a hundred year old colt living among Ponies who love Griffons and Zebras...hehe I guess word gets around, huh Zed?" Silhouette kissed her special somepony and whispered sweet nothings to him, before getting out of bed, much to Zed's disappointment. Zed merely went back to sleep cursing his bad luck.
After said incident, the Opliptera walked out of the shower without her usual armor on. and entered the room where the young Kirin waited to tell her the news. However, as he had never seen her without clothes or armor on, he did what most young males would do, even in the face of getting caught: He stared at her. She noticed this, and despite her fight with Wonder last night, she could not help but tease him "Hey Zed, I think you have competition! This cutie has been staring at me since I got up! I think he likes my wings!" She said, while very awkwardly moving her wings up and down her body. Zed came into the room at this point and was more livid that his marefriend was teasing a little colt.
The Kirin, confronted with violating a rule that had been ingrained into his head years back, AND suddenly realizing that he was staring at a mare that was not his special somepony, he started to cry and soon, begged forgiveness from her. "PLEASE! Thou must not tell Mine sister! She would, oh dear, I don't want to be spanked again! What about Sweetie? Rarity will do worse if see knows her sister is writing to a nasty colt! I am so sorry mine lady, and Mr. Zed, I am sorry I interrupted thine breeding! I shall go, and let thee make little colts and fillies with..."
Zed had enough. It was one thing to barge in his house, and a whole other thing to presume he and his special somepony were doing...that. "ENOUGH! You are nothing but a pest! I urge you to leave, as I still need my rest!" The Zorse was tired, still anxious, and slightly mad that such a young colt was staring at his mare.
Rhymes aside, Blitzen got the hint, and ran out of the room, and took off to a nearby fountain, to try and talk to his Guardian, Kellie. It was rather early for the Kelpie to be up, but she soon came to the surface and formed her bipedal form. Kirn was unsure what a "hoo-mon" was, but she was always in that form when not looking like a water Pony. "What upsets you, my dear Kirin? Another bad dream? I sense your sister is in Equestria, but still far away. She'll be here soon!"
"Really!?! No! It's even worse, Kellie, I hath done wrong! I..let me tell thee what happened" the young colt explained the events of the morning to his friend, sparing no detail about what occurred, and his fear he experinced when Zed yelled at him. "that...that is what happened."
Kellie was careful in answering over what had happened. True, Zed was normally a calm pony, and him yelling was a bit out of character, but, given the circumstances, the Kirin was also being rude, in both interrupting the couple and, his staring at the mare. "Little Blitzy, you know I care for you, but you did indeed do wrong. I shan't tell your Sister, but you must apologize as well. I wish to tell you why it was wrong. When a pony is alone with their special somepony.." she was very careful about her words.
Rapi, bless her soul, was too forward about sexuality, and nearly scared a young Blitzen years back about it. Still, she proceeded. "They really shouldn't be interrupted. The best way I could describe it...hmm, would be, if you and Miss Belle were kissing one day, and her friend came by, and pulled her away, to do other things. How would that make you feel? That's how Mr. Zed feels! Also, it sounds like that mare was teasing you, but you know better than to stare. Looking is ok, but if I do catch you doing that again, I shall tell her!"
Kellie's words hurt. No one, truth be told, had ever disciplined the Kirin besides his Sister, and even then, it was for things he knew were wrong. Since what he did was wrong, he felt ok being talked to by the Kelpie, and was deeply sorry for what had happened. He hugged the watery mare, and thanked her, and went off to apologize. He had taken a few steps forward when he bumped into the couple he was about to speak to. He saw the Opliptera, and immediately shielded his eyes. "I am so sorry, Mr. Zed! I didn't know, I am such a bad pony. I never would want to be interrupted when I am with Sweetie in Ponyville either. I am REALLY sorry for staring at Miss Shield's wings, and her nice flanks."
Silhouette listened, but soon laughed loudly. The poor dear was still covering his eyes with a hoof, and really seemed disturbed by his actions. She stopped laughing, and hugged the small colt, and said. "I am sorry I teased you, and I knew my flanks were nice, Zed! But he wishes to apologize to you for yelling. Isn't that right?" She eyed her future husband with that look only mares can do that could make stallions melt to their every demand.
"Yes, I am sorry that my actions caused you harm. I was tired and weak, and no way am I being strong-armed." He said in his off-rhyming way. Blitzen hugged the Zorse, and hugged the mare, while still covering his eyes.
"Thank thee, I now wish to tell thee the news..I shall be visiting Ponyville, to both care for animals, and..." Blitzen stopped and stared in a random direction imagining 'her' again.
"..and to make out with your young hottie Unicorn? Hehe, good job there little one! Maybe one day, you'll marry her, and she'll be your special somepony as well!" Silhouette said without thinking. After she finished, the poor colt was blushing and noticed that she was wearing armor again. "Yes, little one, I promise not to be naked around you again, but just to let you know: Ponyville mares and stallions walk around with little on all the time! So no staring!" she added.
Blitzen recalled that his Cutie Mark seeking friends wore a cape at the time they first met, but made it a point to remember the older mares words. He hugged them once more, and went off to mail his letter, which had been slightly altered at the end with a special message to his friend:

Don't tell anypony this yet, but if Fluttershy says yes, I may be coming to Ponyville to stay for a while! I cannot wait to see you, my very dear friend very soon!
Two days had passed, and the letter had been delivered and waiting at Rarity's boutique for almost the entire day. The busy mare had picked up her younger sister from her parents who were taking yet another trip without the younger sibling. Needless to say, she wasn't very happy.
"It is not fair! I wanted to go to Manehatten this year so bad, but now I have to stay here with you. Apple Bloom and Scootaloo are so busy, and when we do get to see each other, it is only at school. I hate my luck!" she complained, much like her older sister.
Rarity, for her part, was somewhat disturbed her sister was sad. True, they often did not see eye to eye on most things, but over time, they lived and loved each other. She thought quickly of a response, when her eyes caught a very familiar scroll, and the seal of one of Sweetie Belle most recent, and only colt friends. "Sweetie, I know you are upset but I think I may have something that may cheer you up! it's a letter from the dear sweet..."
Sweetie knew, whenever a letter came from 'him', Rarity always referred to Blitzen as the dear, sweet young stallion. Hearing only those two words, she greedily grabbed the letter and tore the seal. "I can't believe it, Another letter, and oh Rarity, he gave you some more of that silk like last time..." She was somewhat jealous that Blitzen had not given her anything for a while, and only be sending her sister materials when asked. She sort of knew why he did so, hoping to get her approval when they one day met, but she still couldn't help those jealous feelings.
"Oh my! These are more exquisite than the last ones! Your young coltfriend sure knows how to select such fine materials, and has such refined taste, my dear! You could learn a thing or two from him!" The Unicorn mare said. She placed the silk samples aside, and placed an order with the one she liked the most with the shop that sold the material. She was nearly finished writing an order, when she heard a scream from the other room that sounded like her dear sister. "Sweetie, whatever is the matter?"
Instead of seeing her sister scared of some spider or worse nasty creature that had made its way inside, her sister was smiling! This wasn't just a mere happy smile, this was a smile that Rarity had only seen when Pinkie described how she felt when she and Cranky were finally friends. Sweetie finally spoke, albeit much like the party mare. "OhmygoshhescomingHesREALLYcomingImissedhimsomuch.IneedtotalktoFluttershyandaskhertolethimcome!Iwanttokisshimagainsobad...BYE!" she said, as she dropped the letter, and ran outside.
"Sweetie, its late and you have to head to bed soon! Get back or.." she stopped and read the letter, and re-read the last line. "Oh dear, I better go ask Fluttershy if she decided anything. I am guessing that's where Sweetie is off to." Rarity grabbed a light cloak and placed it on her, as the evening wind was chilly in the air. As she walked, see remembered one part of what Sweetie had said. "Wait, what did she mean, kiss AGAIN! Oh the impropriety, why must my sister find her special somepony before I!"
Just as Rarity predicted, Sweetie had arrived at Fluttershy's cottage. The Pegasus was inside, taking care to put asleep some of the animals, and feed the nocturnal ones before she slept, when a loud bang was heard at her door, scaring some of the animals, and waking up one particular bunny up from a nice dream. Angel was not in the mood to be woken up, and open the front door, only to be nearly trampled by an excited white filly.
"Please Fluttershy, please say yes! I promise, you'll have fun on your trip, and Blitzy is a good colt! I remember he loved that Manticore and cared for his wounds at his house. I will do anything if you let him stay! I'll clean up after Angel, and help with the animals too!"
"Um, Sweetie Belle, it's so late, why are you.." Fluttershy tried to say
"..and I'll let him do all the cooking, and we can talk about being special somepony's, and don't worry, we won't kiss in your house!" Sweetie finished excitedly, and waited for the nervous mare to speak.
"...um, Sweetie, what are you talking about? I haven't got a letter yet. I am seeing Wonder tomorrow for tea. Is that what you mean?" the yellow Pegasus asked. Although some doubts about whether or not the young Unicorn knew who he was and his importance to the mare.
"I don't know who that is...I am talking about Blitzen! He's a sweet colt that is gonna take care of your animals while you are away, and I promise you, he'll be very nice to them, and I will help him take care of them too. Oh, and then we will play together and make new friends and.." she continued to say when her sister came up to the cottage while she spoke.
"Sweetie Belle, come back home this instant! I am sorry Fluttershy, but she got this letter today, and she was so excited, she had to ask you about it" the frustrated Unicorn said.
"Um, it's ok Rarity. I don't know who Blitzen is, but if Wonder can show he can take care of animals and he wants, he can watch my animals. I am talking with Wonder tomorrow over tea, and I'll let you know as soon as I can, ok Sweetie Belle?" Fluttershy said.
Rarity was shocked that her friend was going to talk to that Earth Pony, especially after what she had heard happened the night they last saw each other. Rarity, admittedly, was very protective of Fluttershy, as they shared many things on their spa dates, but if her friend wished to talk to him again, she would let her. "I hope you'll be ok darling. I remember what you told me.."
"Don't worry Rarity. He's still a nice stallion, and it is only tea. Plus, that Silly-pony will be there too! I liked her and trust her."
"Ok, well, Sweetie we should leave and get some rest. Celestia knows we might have a visitor to the town soon! I do hope the dear can handle Pinkie Pie though..." Rarity said, looking around for any signs of the party mare. Somewhere, a certain party mare was giggling to herself, and marking the date for a party.
The two sisters left, when Angel bunny jumped up to Fluttershy, looking very mad. "Oh, yes, let's get ready for bed. Oh, and I forgot to tell you, you might have somepony else watch you for a few days, I mean, if you like him at all." The bunny was upset he wasn't told, but hopped to bed, he was far too busy to think about this now.
The next day, the two adults from Hope's Asylum arrived in mid-morning to the cottage of a just waking up Pegasus. She greeted them both and welcomed them inside. "I am sorry to come so suddenly, and what I am about to ask is a little forward, but Miss Shy, I know you needed a pony to watch over your animals, and I found.." Wonder started to say but was interrupted by Fluttershy.
"Oh, I know! Sweetie Belle came last night and told me all about this Blitzen, Wonder and Sillie! It was so sweet! I almost thought that they were going out or something the way she talked about him, but they are soo young and..." Fluttershy stopped and looked over at Silhouette, who was giggling to herself.
"Oh, she didn't tell you? She apparently kissed him first, and before the Princesses found them and brought them back here, they had to be pratically sperated by half a dozen guards!" she joked. Little did she know, the shy Pony in front of her took her words seriously.
"OH MY! DOES RARITY KNOW? OH DEAR, OH DEAR!" she said in almost a panic, thinking that Sweetie Belle was not as innocent as she appeared to be.
"Oh my! Fluttershy calm down! My bat-brained friend here was teasing! They did kiss, but nothing else. The Princesses would have stopped them surely had they...did that!" Wonder said, trying to calm the poor Pegasus down. His hoof held hers for a brief moment, and a look was exchanged briefly. "I would appreciate it if I could send for him, and show you how good he is with animals." They kept staring forgetting a certain loud-mouth was in the room too.
"Hmm, now I am starting to think Blitzen walking on me and Zed was the second most awkward thing I have experienced all week! Maybe I should leave and let you two...what did Blitzen say we were doing...OH YEAH! Breed now!" Silhouette said. She then started laughing at them as she repeated the last words to herself.
Wonder nearly choked on his tea he sipped, while Fluttershy blushed and her wings betrayed what she was feeling at the time. "REALLY Sillie? Of all things to joke about now! I am trying to do a favor for my little friend here, and...GAH! Got to go!" Wonder panicked, but carefully snuck out of the cottage hiding something between his legs as well.
Silhouette stared for a bit and smiled and thought certainly no Zed but.. "Hmm, I guess its true what they say about Earth Ponies? Huh 'Shy?" Silhouette said. Fluttershy merely fainted from all this excitement. "I'll take that as a yes, then?"
After Wonder dove into a very cold stream, he made his way to Sugarcube Corner, trying to forget what happened. There, he planned on asking one mare he recently figured, would be perfect for watching over the little Kirin, and partly because her knack for sneaking up when he least expected. He trusted his young colt friend, but he didn't want to come back from the Crystal Empire and find Blitzen had done something with the little fillyfriend of his. Both Rarity and Rapi would come after him with such anger, even the Dragons he faced would fear it!
He found Pinkie inside, and surprisingly, she already had her room split with a little bed near hers, and jumped up and hugged the Earth Pony. "Hi Wonder! I missed you! I heard about you bringing a new pony soon, and my Pinkie sense said he'll need a place to stay! I am unsure if he'd feel lonely by himself at Fluttershy's cottage, so, I have a place here for him, and, I already asked the Cakes, and as long as he is good, he can stay here! Yay!"
Wonder felt relief, all was working out as planned, but he still needed to send for the young one and by any luck he could be here before Silhouette's and his train was ready to leave. he thanked the party mare, but whispered something before going in her ears. She looked at him, and nodded her head giggling to herself.
Wonder stayed with Fluttershy, while Sillie had left. He was going to go himself, but his Opliptera friend insisted they stay alone together and talk. He apologized many time for her behavior, and his own reaction earlier. "I promise, little Blitzen is very respectful, and up until yesterday he always spoke with thees, thous, and thine. I much preferred when he did so, but Sillie insisted he speak more modern. I guess kids here can be cruel, huh?"
"I guess. I mean, I remember how Ponies made for of me. I was always so shy, and not a good flier." she said with some sadness at the memories still.
"Well, I know how that goes. I was curious, who are you taking to Baltimare? I hope you enjoy it there! That baby whale is said to be very cute and...I really hope you like it there. I wish..I could.." Wonder said holding back a nagging regret.
"No, don't feel bad, you have a duty to protect Ponies. I know things may not work for...us. But, if you are called to be a hero, I would love seeing you help ponies, and not live with regret." Fluttershy said. Wonder looked back at her, and hugged her briefly, when Rainbow Dash came by and tackled him.
"Why are YOU back! Fluttershy told me how she cried when you left! You have a lot of nerve, mister!" she said, trying to fight him. Wonder had to admit, she did fight good for a Pegasus.
"I am here for somepony who will be taking caring of Miss Shy's animals, that's all. I don't mean any harm. Yes, I know I hurt her feelings, but..." he looked around and whispered to Dash's ear. "Well, I want you to care for her now. I have to travel to the Crystal Empire, and I won't be back for a while. I know you...have feelings for her, but, use this opportunity to.." he was then smacked by the angry Pegasus.
In a low voice, Dash said, "I care for Fluttershy more than almost anypony in Ponyville. It doesn't mean I like her that way! DON'T say that again! Besides the Wonderbolts are going to be there and I can't wait.."
"..to impress your friend you have had a crush on?" Wonder regretted hanging around Silhouette for so long, and mentally smacked himself after saying that. "I seem to recall you said she had a nice flank in Monster World." Despite how mad the mare looked, she relented.
"So, I like mares, it doesn't, it doesn't mean I am any different! Please don't tell her!" Dash looked at the stallion, begging with her eyes.
"I won't, but I think, of all ponies, just talk to her about it. I am unsure she will feel the same way, but at least try?" Wonder said, having got up and looking straight into her eyes, waited for an answer.
"Okay, but no matter what, even if she doesn't feel that way, I want to protect her." Rainbow said with finality, before Fluttershy came and checked on the slightly scratched up stallion. As he was taken to her cottage he winked at Dash, who blushed, and thought about her feelings, before taking off and going back into town.
Silhouette said her goodbyes to her future husband, Zed and hugged him one more time. She also added instructions to contact a dressmaker in Ponyville for the wedding in about three months time. "I'll miss you, you wonderful 'mule you!" and she began to walk with the very anxious Blitzen out of Hope's Asylum.
Blitzen instructed a nearby Donkey with instructions on how the Tesi-Coil worked, and how to turn it on for the night, and left all his keys to the trusted creature. "Remember should you have any problems, please send one of the Hippogriffs. I shall be glad to send more instructions. I'll be back as soon as I can, and if Sister should come, please have her read this scroll, and come to me in Ponyville!"
The Donkey saluted his Kirin friend, and prepped the machinery for the settings ahead of time. The last stop was to Kelpie and she hugged the anxious Kirin and gave him a few words of encouragement, and hope. "Make lots of friends my dear, and remember be respectful, and NO staring at the mares and fillies! Please write us if you can, and I'll watch the sanctuary as best as I can in your absence. One more thing...please, as much as you may want, keep your desires at kissing! I would hate to be an aunt already!" she teased the young colt, and winked at him.
"Kellie! You are embarrassing me! I won't be bad, and will remember everything both thee and Miss Shield said! I'll also try and not say as much 'old stuff' towards the kids too Miss Shield!" He paused a bit, gathered his bags, and sighed at the town as he left. Goodbye, he said, and walked off quickly behind Silhouette.
"Don't worry! I bet your girl will be waiting for you! By the way, is Manny really coming with us the first day? I don't know how little Miss 'Shy will take a huge animal in her cottage.." the concerned Opliptera said.
"Don't worry...Wonder said she wants to know I am good with critters, and Manny is my bestest friend that happens to be an animal! I am sure she'll like him as much as I do!" He said proudly, motioning the large animal to follow at a fair distance behind.
"Ok kid, let's race to Ponyville then!" and without another warning Silhouette took off, followed by the eager little colt, and his large Manticore behind them.

It wasn't long before the two racing ponies and Manticore were tired from their long run, and soon, they found a spot to rest. Silhouette used this opportunity to talk with the colt, and amazingly, decided to be serious. "Hey Blitzen, I know you like this Sweetie Belle, but I was curious, what is it that you like about her? I mean, I could talk for hours about Zed and his goofy looks, and his...well, I rather not go into too much detail." She couldn't be serious for long, after all.
"Well, when I first saw them all I was intrigued to see the children of Canterlot, and how they seemed to forgot about us Kirins. I knew from mine Sister that this happened over time, but I wanted to help them, and make new friends, I guess part of me wanted to do something my Sister told me...NOT...to do!" the Kirin colt said.
"OH! So you liked the idea of being a little bad? That's understandable! But, what about the Unicorn did you like? I know you like my wings, hehe! But was the Pegasus not pretty, or what about the Earth Pony? You aren't in trouble, I just want to be sure you know this is a crush, and..." she hesitated to say what she was going to say next. "Well, if she one day doesn't like you, I would hate to see such a cool colt be broken-hearted. Trust me, it sucks!" The Opliptera was proud of herself for being serious, but swore to herself she would make it up by teasing Wonder on the train.
"I understand...and to be honest, I really liked the Pegasus! She was very much, well, like you, and sort of like a colt too! But, she really didn't liked being hugged much, and as much as her wings said she liked me, I guess I couldn't..." he paused a bit, and ate a small snack. After he finished, he resumed his answer. "Miss Bloom was very lovely, but she said it would be dishonourable to kiss or have a crush on her without asking her family first. I understood that, but when I talked to Sweetie, everything worked out, and the first kiss she gave me...was magic. I want to feel that sooo much again!"
"Hmm, ok. I sort of understand. Just...promise me, like you promised Kellie, that you'll make lots of cool colt and flirty filly friends, ok? I know you will fit in well, and remember, I'll be gone a while, but I promise, I'll see you soon. Oh! Don't tell anypony, but I would love it if you were at my wedding!" Silhouette's mind drifted off. Despite her rather dirty mind at times, she was very much a lady at heart. She was snapped out it it by a hug, and a kiss at her hoof. "Such a gentlepony! Ok, let's go cutie!"
The break ended up costing a great deal of time, and Sillie had hoped that she hadn't missed Wonder and the train. Sadly, it seemed Wonder was not near the cottage, and only Fluttershy was waiting for her and her Kirin friend. "Please tell me Wonder hasn't left yet! Oh dear, why do I always buck these things up?" she said, shocking the shy mare. "Oh...sorry, did he leave anything for me?"
"Um, yes, this ticket, and he said the teller would exchange it for tomorrow's train. Would you mind introducing me to this handsome young colt?" Fluttershy said with a slight smile towards the blue and white colt. He was shy at first, but Silhouette smiled and gave a silent reassurance that it would be ok.
"This is the Kirin, Blitzen! He's a sexy little colt who wishes to take care of your animals, and even brought a, 'little critter' with him to show you how serious he is about animals! If you two don't mind, I am going to take care of this ticket really quick, and um, Fluttershy?" the Opliptera asked.
"Yes, Miss Shield?" Fluttershy asked.
"Well, not Miss for long! Never mind...um, where is a dress shop? I wanted to send my special somepony into town later for a fitting, and figured I should write him where it is, after all." the anxious mare said.
"Oh, you mean Rarity's! Her boutique is the building that looks like a Carousel. You shouldn't miss it! You better hurry, the pony who works for the train station goes home in a little while!" the yellow Pegasus said, and soon witnessed the other mare take off into town. She looked to lil Blitzen, and he to her.
"Well, may I see this very special critter you brought with you? I am very good with animals, and would love to make a new friend!" The poor shy Pony had no idea what was to come next.
"Oh yes, but first Miss Shy, I must insist you stay close to me. He's Manny, and although he's a big guy, he is very nice and sweet when he gets to know thee! I mean, you." Blitzen was still not used to the way Sillie had taught him to speak, but made an effort to do so.
"Oh, ok, where is..." Fluttershy never got to finish, as the giant white Manticore, with four massive wings and its prickly, poison tail roared in front of her, and began to lick up the small colt. "EEP!" she said, before fainting.
"Miss Shy? Art thou ok??? Oh my! I hope I didn't scare her too much..." Blitzen said naively.
Sillie had just made the exchange, and went into the Boutique that she had heard about from Fluttershy and was greeted by the white mare she met back in Monster World. "Well, it is so nice to see you again Miss Shield! I am really sorry the shop is nearly closed, but I am more than willing to stay open a little longer, should you need a new ensemble for your unique body structure! I must say, I never made a clothing set for a bat-pony..."
"Opliptera, is the proper term. Don't worry, I am a bit batty, so I don't mind! I...honestly would like my measurements taken as well, if I could. I would love to commission a Wedding gown for myself for a wedding in about four months time. I am sure you remember Zed...well, he and I..."
"Oh MY! Of course! I knew you two were an item, and of course I can get the basic designs started for you! Four months is plenty of time for what you need, and I am sure we can.."
"Hey Rarity, hello...Miss? I am Sweetie Belle, how are you doing?" Sweetie interrupted their conversation. Rarity was livid, but continued on to her tasks of making measurements.
Sillie, on the other hand, couldn't believe her luck! "Wait, you are Sweetie...the, ahem, let me say this correctly" she paused a bit, and amazingly, pulled a very accurate impression of Blitzen's voice saying, "the Most Beautiful, and Wonderful Filly I EVER met?" Rarity looked at her with a very odd stare, but the filly in question knew that voice impression.
"You mean, he's here?!? Tell me where is he?" she said with a certain amount of calculated control in her excitement. Last time she got excited, Rarity got very mad that she let slip that she had kissed the Kirin before, and tried to deny, but she eventually confessed to the deed.
"Oh, he's with Fluttershy introducing her to Manny. I really hope the poor dear is ok meeting that colt's Manticore. I swear I need to meet this sister of his, and ask if I could get him a regular pet or something!" she said casually, let Rarity finally finish her last measurements.
"Oh alright. If it is ok with you sis, I am going out, and visiting him. I am sure Fluttershy will watch us. Is that ok?" she said with the slightest hint of a devilish smile. The Opliptera, however, saw EXACTLY what the scheming filly did, but held in a laugh at her older sister not noticing her obvious ploy.
"Yes, yes! Please don't stress the poor Pegasus too much, she has a lot of stress over this trip to Baltimare, and our last spa trip is coming up tomorrow before she leaves. Say, Miss Shield, would you like to join us?" Rarity asked, unaware of the blur that just passed behind her, and making its way to Fluttershy's cottage.
"I can't...Hahahaha! Of course I'll go but...hehehe. Oh my...are you really that dense? I mean no offense, but you do just realize you let your anxious sister go see her potential colt-friend without anypony, but Fluttershy to watch them. I sincerely doubt she'll stop them from making out, even if she tried! The blunt Silhouette said.
It was at that exact moment, it finally sunk into Rarity's mind. "SWEETIE BELLE! I WILL NOT LET YOU BEHAVE UNLADY-LIKE! YOU!!! COME! NOOOW!!!!" She said to the very shocked, and no longer laughing, Opliptera.
Some distance on a train heading away from Ponyville, Wonder was experiencing a blissful feeling. Like somepony had finally successfully shutting his batty friend up. "Wow, wish I would have seen that!" he said to himself, and went to sleep again.
Poor little Blitzen had to chain up the over-excited Manticore to prevent him from lickiing up the shocked Pegasus. He even didn't mind carrying the stiff and startled mare inside and prepare tea for her. A certain bunny looked at him suspiciously, and gave him an evil eye after looking at his mare. Blitzen however was happy to see a cute little bunny, and slowly whispered, in a strange guttural, but very dragon-like growl to the bunny and extended his hoof towards him. Angel still didn't trust him, but other animals swarmed the Kirin, and he was very happy at the result.
Fluttershy woke up from her stupor, amazed at what she saw and heard, This little colt really had a connection to animals. It wasn't like her ability where she could understand them, it was as if he could talk to them somehow. "How do you, HOW?" she tried to ask.
"Believe it or not, it's a Dragon Call of Calming. I can't really explain it, but it works for most animals. I suppose the bunny is stubborn, but I hope he knows I am not trying to harm him. If you'd like, would you want to learn it?" he offered. Fluttershy spent a little time doing the same sound as he did, with similar effects. She was very happy she could finally talk to her animals in a new way!
"I don't wish to share the other Dragon Calls, as they tend to scare most animals, but it could be useful for scary ones. Also, there are some that affect the dragon saying it, but I can't do those calls yet. My Sister insists I shall learn those when I need too!" the Kirin said feeling a little sad about his sibling again.
Fluttershy hugged the colt excitedly. "I am sorry I didn't trust you before! You are good with animals, but I will have Pinkie help you if you need it, ok? Of course, should you ever need to, you may also stay here as well! Pinkie says she has a bed in her room for you, so you have two places to stay here.."
Right at that moment, a loud noise and blur stopped in back of the Kirin. Fluttershy stopped whatever she was going to say and motioned for Blitzen to turn around. Sweetie looked at him, but very angrily at him. "You didn't even think to TELL me you were here already? I was so excited you were coming, but you never told me when! I am so mad at you!" she said.
Blitzen gulped, and teared up. "I...Sweetie, I apologize I am so forgetful! I hath forgotten and was so focused on coming tha.." he was stopped by a tight hug by the Unicorn filly.
Fluttershy smiled at them both, but Sweetie continued. "I like you so much, but what do you say? I missed you so much, how about we stop talking?" Sweetie pressed her lips to his, and the colt melted again in her embrace. He proceeded to do the same back, but poor Fluttershy remembered one thing from earlier that week.
"Sweetie, um, I remember you promised not to do..this in my house, I really would appreciate it if you two would, go outside and...never mind." She walked outside and was hiding a blush herself when a very frustrated Unicorn and scared looking Opliptera came up to her. They looked at her and knew what was happening. Rarity was absolutely livid, but Sillie placed a hoof on her shoulder, and motioned for her to follow quietly inside.
In a whisper, Silhouette said to the older sister, "Don't you remember your first crush? This is sooo sweet! Although where did they learn to kiss like that? Must be somethin' at school."
Rarity was going to interrupt when both of the kissing ponies stopped. Blitzen whispered something low into Sweetie's ear, and both older mare's tried to understand what he said to her. Suddenly, Sweetie spoke for them. "Oh yes, Blitzy I so want to try that! We should hurry, or my sister will eventually catch us..."
"Oh believe me, she already did! Hahahaha!" Silhouette could not hold it in any longer, and upon seeing both the mares, Sweetie kicked poor Blitzen off of next to her. Sadly, she aimed a bit low and Blitzen, while not a full-grown pony, getting kicked there STILL hurt as a male. Poor Sweetie saw her colt friend fall over any start crying in pain, but managed to say one thing before his tears stopped him from saying anything more.
"Miss Rarity! I am sooo glad to finally meet you!" he cried out in various pitches.
More Pain always comes before a Little Pinkie Pleasure

Blitzen eventually got himself up and tried to resume his greeting, but the protective older sister Rarity was still rather mad at him for doing what he was doing to Sweetie Belle. He knew this, and strangely started to cry before saying, "I know I hath behaved dishonorably, but please, I don't wish to be without mine friend, Sweetie, during this visit! If thou seekest punishment, please I beg thee, spank me and not thine sister!" Blitzen then knelt down and prepared himself for any punishment he was going to receive.
Both Rarity and Fluttershy were stunned when they saw the change in demeanor in the colt, and the shy Pegasus then saw something that made her tear up and pointed it out to Rarity: several old scars on the back of the colt's flank! Both mares sort of understood why the Kirin colt was so afraid of punishment, and comforted the colt in a hug.
"Well, darling, I am upset that you and Sweetie were sneaking kisses and whatever you whispered to her earlier. But, I cannot stand for spankings, and will not be punishing you that way. I don't know who gave you those scars, but rest assured that your punishment will not involve such a vulgar treatment!" Rarity said with authority. Sweetie joined in the hug after finally noticing what her sister had seen as well.
"Blitzen, why would your sister hit you like that? Even when I am bad, the worse Rarity does is make me leave the boutique for a while." Sweetie asked her still scared colt friend.
"I was...bad. It was a long time ago, but I used my powers against some Ponies and Griffons that made me upset. I even hurt one very badly. I was so sorry, but mine Sister said I need to remember never to do that again. I love her dearly, but I didn't love what she had to do for me when I was bad. Kellie and her still fight about that day." The Kirin confessed, Fluttershy hugged him tighter, but left when Angel pointed out the tea they made earlier was still on.
"Well, I can't say I would have approved of you doing that either, but there are other ways to punish bad behavior. That said, I shan't judge your sister too harshly. Perhaps I may speak to her whenever she comes back? I still have much to discuss with her, and maybe I can bring that up?" Rarity added with some concern. She was going to ask more, when a very excited pink mare finally showed up a greeted the Kirin colt.
"Surprise! Welcome to Ponyville! Oh my! Group hugs! I love group hugs! I am Pinkie Pie, and you must be Blitzy. I am so glad that I am going to be taking care of you!" The pink party pony tried her best to cheer up the room, and Blitzen at least was very happy about meeting this mare. Still, he did have to face his punishment eventually.
"It is very nice to meet you to Pinkie Pie. I am indeed Blitzen. " he said, bowed, and gave the mare a kiss on the hoof. "I would love to learn more about Ponyville, but I did do something wrong, and Miss Rarity was going to punish me first. But it's ok, I want to be a better colt for Sweetie.
Pinkie stood in silence a bit, and then gave an Okie-lokie-pokie before heading off, and giving the visitor keys and directions to Sugarcube corner. She then left them alone, and ran into Silhouette, who had ducked out to find a place to stay for the night, and talked with her.
Rarity tried to find a way to explain her to Blitzen, but nothing came to mind. She then had a great idea on an appropriate punishment for the colt. "Well, I know you are staying with Pinkie Pie, and helping Fluttershy tomorrow with her animals, but after those chores, I would like you to help me organize my shop, and take care of a few things. If you do that, and act on your best behavior, that'll be punishment enough. Just remember, if you two wish to be together, you don't always have to kiss..." Rarity said, partly because the thought of Sweetie kissing was shocking, and a small part being a little jealous of her sister.
"I shall do as you asked. Mine Sister should be back sometime this week, if you prefer to talk to her. Just some warning, she is rather protective over me, despite what you saw on my..." Blitzen looked back and shook his head. He still felt sad at the memory, but he was visiting a new town, by himself, with a pony he REALLY liked! There wasn't time to be sad.
Sweetie apologized to her sister as well, and they said their goodbyes to the colt for the night. Before going to Pinkie's, he assisted Fluttershy around with the nocturnal animals, and showed her that Manny wasn't so bad after his initial impressions on her. He hugged the kind mare one more time, and thanked her again for letting him care for her animals, before heading into town.
Blitzen found the Sugarcube Corner building without much trouble. On the way, he observed and was thinking about the lights around town. Unlike Hope's Asylum, where he helped provide power for lights and other needs, Ponyville seemed to have another source of power, but he could not figure out what it was. Blitzen was curious, but decided not to let his hostess wait too much longer. He entered the front door very quietly, and was greeted by two older ponies with two small foals in their care.
"Oh hello! You must be Blitzen, the one Pinkie told us about. We are the Cakes, and these are the twins, Pumpkin and Pound Cake." The blue mare said. Blitzen observed the family together, and offered a hoof to Mr. Cake first, and kissed Mrs. Cakes hoof after. "I must thank thee...I mean, you, for allowing Miss Pie to let me stay. I shan't be too much trouble, and will stay at Miss Shy's cottage once she leaves on her trip. I am rather tired, but it was nice to meet you!" Blitzen said as he excused himself. Both Cakes were impressed by his manners, and were very happy they agreed to let him stay in retrospect.
Blitzen knocked on the door, and Pinkie opened it and hugged the colt tightly, before pulling him inside. She was very excited to have a guest to take care of, and while not as young as the twins, she hoped she could prove to the others that she could handle watching an older colt as well as the foals. "Well this is my room! Gummy is sleeping over in the tub tonight, so if you need to wash up before bed, I'll go get him. He's a very nice alligator, so I am sure you'll like him. Would you like to play games or talk or...?" she asked the colt, but he was getting tired. He hadn't run a long distance like he did in a while, and all the excitement from meeting Sweetie had drained much of his energy.
"I would like to wash up, Miss Pie. I apologize again, but it has been a long day for me, but I hope to play more tomorrow, if you'd like to wait." he asked his hostess. She showed him around the washroom, and he took care of washing up himself, and once he was done, he started to lay down, but gave a quick hug to his pink mare hostess. "I really thank thee again! I wasn't sure I was ever going to get to see her again, and you...you are too kind." he nuzzled against her. She smiled and let him rest while she set off in another part of her room to plan for his eventual "Welcome to Ponyville" party.
Blitzen dreamt of his seeing his Sister, who appeared as beautiful as he remembered her. The Flames from her orange and red fur contrasted with her yellow scales. She towered above him, but spoke with anger. Anger about him leaving his home. She then dragged him away back to their home, but, in an odd twist, she let her flames grow, and before he could stop her, she cast down a firestorm on Ponyville! Blitzen begged his Sister to stop, but she said nothing, and he cried to himself. He was about to run back to Ponyville, when his Sister looked at him, and with her magic, threw a dead Sweetie Belle in front of him! "Thy hath no reason to return! Thou shalt NEVER LEAVE thine Sister again!" He was filled with an emotion he tried to hide: pure anger and hatred towards her, and as he prepared his electricity, she stuck him and..
"NOOOO! Sister, Sweetie!!!" he said as he woke up. He had never had such a scary dream in a long time. He began weeping and Pinkie Pie was at his side the moment he started to cry. She somehow knew that he had a bad dream, and did nothing but hold him close to her.
"It's ok now, little colt. Mommy Pinkie is here! You want to tell me about what happened?" She asked him. He was very upset, and had tears freely flowing from his eyes, and more dragon sobs formed near Pinkie. She looked down puzzled that tears could form something like that, but waited for him to answer.
"Well, I had a bad nightmare, I don't know why! I always pray that Luna guides my dreams, but this time, it was horrible! If I tell you, please don't tell anypony what I say to thee" he said, and then Pinkie showed him that she would Pinkie promise him, and he felt safe to tell her all the details of what he had just dreamt. Pinkie was shocked, but listened to his story. He looked at her, and moved the sobs he had made off the bed, and said, "and that's why I am so scared! I never feared mine Sister before! But I am unsure she will let me and Sweetie she each other. I know she is broken hearted because of the loss of Marron Flame, she was a wonderful Griffon, and didn't deserve to die. But, I feared her ever since she cursed the Princesses names, and left with her ashes."
There was much to take in. Pinkie didn't know why Blitzen was so afraid of his sister in his dreams, but she did know about growing up, and doing things parents may not have approved of. She had her own bad memories surface but, if it meant cheering up the poor colt, she didn't mind telling him a story. "Blitzy, Pinkie Promise what I am about to tell you doesn't leave this room. I know how you are feeling, and I think I can help." She wasn't smiling as cheerfully anymore, but Blitzen obeyed and did the signature moves of a Pinkie Promise, and listen to her words.
Pinkie had spent an hour or two telling her story, and letting Blitzen interject and ask questions of his own. In the middle of their talks, he let slip his real age, and the explanation of why he aged so slow. It sort of made sense to Pinkie, but at the same time, she felt sad for him. Although he was not an immortal like the Princesses, he would out-live all of the ponies he knew, even her, and this scared him. This caused Pinkie to have to cheer him up further, before talking again.
At the end, Blitzen felt very good about confessing his feeling, and Pinkie felt the same too. She and Blitzen were now closer because of a shared secret, but the details of what was said would not be know to anypony. "Just promise me lil Blitzy, that you tell Rarity about your age, and more importantly, why you are that old. I don't want her to hate you, thinking you are something you are not. I know Sweetie understands, and the Princesses know, but others may be scared! Besides, I think she might like knowing what styles were like before she was alive! hehe!" Pinkie was back being her cheerful self.
Blitzen was happy as well, but one thing he wanted to ask his hostess was still on his mind. "Miss Pie, I know I have asked a lot of you tonight, and I understand if this is an odd request, but would you mind if I...slept in your bed, with you?" Pinkie looked shocked at first, she barely knew the colt! Why would he ask such a thing! He continued, "I don't want to be alone, and to be honest, I missed snuggling next to Sister at night. Oh my!" Blitzen finally realized the implications of his words he had spoken earlier.
"I meant, sleep with, not anything sexual Miss Pie! I think you are attactive, and I do care for Sweetie, but, I am not ready, for...that. I suppose I just feel lonely." he clarified quickly. Pinkie was relieved, she had never had to kick out a 'piggy guest' before, and was glad little Blitzen was not asking her what she had assumed she did.
"Of course...you can come to bed with me, but stay under your blankie too, ok? I wouldn't want the Cakes thinking anything!" she said, and they cuddled up together, and drifted off to sleep. It had been a long night, and they certainly needed rest.
Rainbow Dash had gotten up early, as she had packing to finish up later, and had just arranged the schedule of weather to Thunderlane and a few of the weather team of Ponyville. She was very excited to travel with Fluttershy, and wanted to make sure they both had fun on their separate destinations there, as well as a few ideas she had for hanging out together. Dash was feeling hungry, and wanted to visit her Earth Pony friend, and perhaps grab a few things for breakfast.
She flew over to Pinkie's window, and was expecting for her to be up, when she saw something that she could not believe! On Pinkie's bed was the pink mare, but also a very strange colt? She had her hooves wrapped around his barrel, and she seemed to being nibbling on his ear.'What would Pinkie be doing sleeping with a...OHMYGOSH OHMYGOSH OHMYGOSH!' she thought to herself. In her mind, Pinkie had tricked some poor colt to her room, and played some "games" with her, and would let them go in the morning, swearing them to secrecy! Of course, this was not the case, but the mind of Dash can be a strange one.
She did what she felt she had to do: confront the spoiler of youth, and protect Pinkie from herself! She busted through the window, and shook the pink Earth Pony up from her sleep. "Pinkie! What are you doing?!? He's a colt, not a toy! I know there aren't that many stallions around, but what you are doing, is wrong! Don't worry, I am sure we can fix this. The important thing is the Princess must not find out! I don't want you to go to the moon! I care for you too much!"
Pinkie heard everything Rainbow Dash said, but thought this would be a great prank! "No Dashie! I can't help it, Little Blitzy and I, we are meant for one another! He's such a sweetheart, and a wonderful lover too!" she stuffed a giggle quickly as Dash gave her the most odd stare she had ever gave.
"What are you thinking!?! Calm down Rainbow! Oh I know, I'll ask Twilight to write the Princess. Surely, she can do some sort of magic to make you not love colts anymore. Pinkie, I am speaking as your friend, we need to wake up Twilight, NOW!"
Pinkie had enough, and didn't want the poor colt to hear what was being said as he slept. "Dashie, you sure can be a featherbrain sometimes! I wasn't doing anything to lil Blitzen. He is Sweetie's special somepony! He had a very bad nightmare last night, but I can't tell you about it because I Pinkie Promised him I wouldn't and to be honest, he needed a hug. We both were very tired, and he was very respectful and stayed under his blankie the whole time." She tried to explain.
Dash was upset a little that she had been tricked, but laughed at herself for thinking the worse in her friend. "I am sorry Pinkie, but I saw you with a strange reptile colt and thought for a minute you were a...never mind. But who, and what is he?"
"Silly! He's a Kirin! You see when a mommy Dragon, and a frisky daddy Unicorn get together, they make a baby like him! Isn't he cute?
"Whoa! So what about..hehe, if Spike gets luck with Rarity? You mean their foals with look like him?" Dash asked, thinking she could embarrass Rarity with some teasing later.
"Actually, as a young foal, I was much more furrier. As we age, the scales grow out on our bodies, and our manes and tails are usually what remain like any other Pony, Miss?" the Kirin colt had woken up, and was staring at the rainbow-colored Pegasus.
"Rainbow Dash! What, you never heard of me? I am the one who can pull a Sonic Rainboom and am going to be a Wonderbolt one day!" she said proudly.
"Oh, no I haven't but, I do know one thing Miss Dash. You are VERY pretty, and I think very attractive! Wow, never seen such a beautiful Pegasus like you before!" he said, very much intrigued at her coloration, and he tried to kiss her hoof, but she pulled it back defensively.
"Hey! Stop it! You're Sweetie's colt! I, wait, you think I am pretty? Well, thanks I guess... I never had a colt or even a stallion tell me that before." She said with a hint of sarcasm, but her blush gave away she actually liked the attention the young colt gave her. She wasn't sure why he tried to grab her hoof though, NO ONE touches her hooves!
"I am serious. You would make a lucky stallion, mare, or even a Griffon very happy!" he said quite happily, but the last phrase he added made the Pegasus very upset at him.
"What do you mean, griffon? Who told you about me and Gilda? She and I were friends, nothing more, and besides, it not like it could have worked out. Pinkie! Please don't tell me you said that!" she asked the Earth pony who simply watched the two talk or argue, in the last case.
"Nope, I never brought up Gilda, not yet anyway, Would you like me to? You see Gilda was.." Pinkie tried to continue, but Dash had enough.
She pushed the colt into the bed, but while he was sleeping, the Kirin had built up a large amount of static in his fur, and poor Rainbow got quite a shock! "OW! Why you little! Tell me, why did you say Griffon!" she demanded.
"No reason, where I am from Griffons and Ponies marry regularly. My mail comes by way of Hermes the HippoGriff, you know, because Ponies and Griffons can mate? That's all I meant, no offense, unless maybe you were dating or interested in a Donkey or Zebra? I did forget about them, so I apologize for that." the naive colt said.
Rainbow suddenly realized what he was saying, and now understood why the weird Pony, what's his name, Zet, Zack, whatever? looked the way he did. Ponies can mate with non-Ponies??? How did this kid know that and I did not! She shook the random imagination of different couples in her head away, and then spoke up. "I am sorry. it's just, I had an old friend who was a Griffon, I never knew we could have, you know..."
"Have foals? Of course! But with female to female relationships, the mating requires the two lovers really care and love each other during the actually sexual activity and..." Blitzen continued to state the facts of life without a care in the world. He didn't realize that Dash, while she knew how things went, did NOT expect a young colt to fill her in on the complexities of female Pony to female Griffon sexuality and pregnancy!
"Wow, another egghead! You should tell Twilight about that stuff! I, have to go, nice meeting you, but I think I need to write a letter to someone..." and she took off, forgetting about breakfast. As she flew away she thought to herself 'I really hope what he said about that Griffon and Pony stuff isn't true! I only did that with her once. It couldn't have happened, right???
Meanwhile, Pinkie was giggling at Blitzen's textbook sexual knowledge. "Hehe I think you scared poor Dashie away, Blitzy! Next time, leave these talks with Twilight! I am sure she would love to learn more about Hippo-whatsits, as our Library doesn't have much about Griffons!" Pinkie said, guiding Blitzen downstairs to go eat.
"You have a Library!?! May I visit there before my chores? I would love to read new books, and I promised Kellie that I'd give the librarian a new book!" he said excitedly.
"Sure, but you and I need to eat first, and then we can start your first day in Ponyville right!" Pinkie said, and bounced happily into the kitchen as Blitzen sat in a booth.
He got out a journal, and tore a paper out, and began to write to Kellie.

I cannot begin to describe how much I love this new town! I am so glad I decided to leave my refuge. I am still nervous about meeting colts and fillies my age, but after meeting the mares Wonder and Silhouette told me so much about, I am already feeling like the luckiest colt in the world!
So many different ponies, and so many cute and pretty mares. Don't worry, I shan't let my eyes wander too much. Sweetie and I share a very long kiss, and while I didn't get to try that tongue kissing Silhouette told me about, I am very eager to try, someday soon! I shall still be very respectful, and I greatly respect Miss Rarity. I did get in trouble, and I would ask you write Miss Rarity about my flank scars, as she was very concerned when I was in trouble about them, but I shall let you two discuss it.

PS: Is it normal for Ponies to be embarrassed of colts talking about sexual relations? I believe Miss Dash was embarrassed when I talked about Hermes...please let me know. The Librarian is said to be very clinical about sexuality, so I might ask her about it!
Snips and Snails, & Rumble with Featherweight! Plus a little Diamond Tiara!
Blitzen quickly folded his letter up and wrote the address to go mail it out after breakfast, which was pancakes and lots of sweet syrup! Blitzen sat with Pinkie, and pulled out some preserved cheese and still cool butter, and spread that on his food. Pinkie was curious as to what kind of butter Blitzen was eating and grabbed some, and loved the taste some much, she started to spread it on her food as well.
She was coming back from putting those foods the Kirin had, when Rarity and Sweetie came in. They sat with Pinkie and talked a bit while they were eating. Rarity had seen the colt pull out the butter from his pack, and was curious what it was. "Darling, I could not help but notice, what is it you put on your pancakes?"
"It's tasty Rarity! Try it!" Pinkie said, and the nervous Unicorn tried a fork full, and liked the taste, as well. She had just passed some to her sister, when Blitzen answered her after swallowing.
"Sorry Miss Rarity, this is special Kirin butter! The other thing was Kirin Cheese, but it is more of a snack or something to eat with lunch! My Sister makes some from her milk every month she happens to lactate. It is certainly a very special treat..." Then Blitzen saw Rarity turn a sickly coat of green and smacked the fork away from Sweetie Belle.
"Darling, I must have misheard you, you surely don't mean it is made from her milk, by her teats? RIGHT?!?" Rarity looked panicked, and Sweetie Belle suddenly realized why Rarity looked so shocked. After all, she knew foals were the one to drink milk from there.
"Well, yes, but you all eat milk and cheese from cows, how is that any different?" Blitzen said, and saw a fully sick Rarity quickly excuse herself and rush towards the washroom. Sweetie Belle looked at her Kirin friend and whispered how it was seen outside of Hope's Asylum.
"What? Well, ok, well, I guess I shan't share that anymore, although it is very good! Are you sure you won't try some Miss Belle?" the Kirin asked.
"Yeah! I am eating it and I'll ask Mr. and Mrs. Cake if I can use some for some special 'Kirin cupcakes' today! It's very sweet!" Pinkie said excitedly.
Sweetie found it very strange, but she tried some, and just like Pinkie said, it was very sweet, but she couldn't help but feel weird it came from her friend's, sister's....eww! "Its ok, I don't mind if you two eat it." she said diplomatically to her sweet and innocent colt friend.
"Hmm, next you'll be telling me that you all don't eat pig bacon and ham meat!" Blitzy said, but even Pinkie Pie looked at the Kirin colt as if he had sprouted four heads.
"YOU MEAN, YOU EAT PIGS!?!" She said allowed, causing everypony in the shop to stare in the direction of the party mare. "I MEAN, YOU BEAT WIGS, Hehehe! Sorry everypony!" she said, trying to protect her friend, while poor Sweetie had tears in her eyes.
She had remembered taking care of both Applejack's and Apple Bloom's pigs before, and while they were dirty critters, she thought they were kind of cute. 'How could he eat them?' she thought to herself. "Please Blitzy, ENOUGH! Promise me, while you are here, you won't eat meat, ok? It's just...WRONG!" she said, and left with her sister, who had just exited the washroom looking very pale.
Pinkie hugged him close and explained to him how Ponies here did not eat animals. Eggs and milk were ok, but meat was seen as a taboo. The little Kirin understood why his friends were so offended and started to tear up again, but Pinkie shook her head, and motioned him to smile! He did so, and knew he had to go apologize to his Sweetie as soon as possible. As he cleared up his table he notice two fancy looking Earth Pony fillies were talk about Sweetie, and he thought it would be a great way to meet children his age!
"Excuse me, my dear fillies. But were thine two just...ahem! Were you two just talking about Miss Belle a little while ago? I am Blitzen, the Kirin from..." he was interrupted by the pink filly.
"What do you want blank-flank? What the hay is a Kirin anyway? A fancy way of saying a rude FREAK!" she giggled, and the silver one joined in as well.
"Yeah, what are you suppose to be anyway?" she said with a level of rudeness that made him sad, but he held his composure.
"Well, my most lovely Earth Ponies, I am a Pony-Dragon Hybrid! My mother was a beautiful Dragoness and my Father was a brave Unicorn Royal Guard of Celestia, herself! It is ok. Children of Canterlot seemed to have forgotten us. But, I must also correct you, as I do have mine Cutie Mark. It is here, let me show you!" he said, and turned his hooves at an angle.
Blitzen wore very special pony shoes that were half rubber insulation, and half-grounding material. He did so as to both not discharge his electric build up in buildings, as well as ground himself outside when he had too much in his fur. He shook his mane, and soon, the building of Sugarcube Corner flashed several times, and his white fur glowing brightly! The Blue Mark, consisting of three lightning bolts showed up underneath the fur that stood up. He looked back at the scared, but fascinated fillies, and others around him
"Hello everypony! I am Blitzen the Kirin! I am most honored being here! My mark represents my talent: Creating and controlling lightning, and some electricity currents! Please, if I may, I need to ground myself. Whatever you do, please don't touch my fur. I would hate to harm anypony!" He stated, and exited the building touched a rock outside with his metal shoes, and the glow went away, and the fur slowly returned to its normal white fur color, and his scales darkened. The ponies inside, especially the Cakes were silent. Silver Spoon, the filly who had made fun of him earlier, clopped her hooves, and others joined in, even Diamond Tiara.
Pinkie Pie came out, and asked what she missed, and everypony laughed, and resumed their orders, and some to their breakfasts. Blitzen walked up to the two fillies, and looked towards them. "It is always an honor meeting more of Miss Belle's friends. What are your names?" He asked, and kissed each of them on their left hoof. Silver Spoon blushed, but said her name in a whisper, while Diamond Tiara just stared at him.
"Wait! We aren't friends with that blank-flank!" she suddenly said, and humph her head away. Blitzen looked sad, but opened his pack and gave Diamond Tiara a Dragon sob, and another to Silver Spoon.
"I apologize then. I am her, well, I hope to be her special somepony one day. I don't know if you and her are upset at one another, but please take those. These are my sobs. The dragon within me makes these whenever I cry over something. They are said to be of value in Canterlot, as Dragons normally stay away from Ponies here. I am sorry to have bugged you Miss pink crown, but it was a please to meet you Silver Spoon!" he said, and was soon approached by a very excited Pegasus colt, and two other Unicorn colts as well.
"Wow, you control Lightning! My brother works for the weather service here in Ponyville, but I never knew Unicorns could control that! I am Rumble! These two are Snips and Snails!" the white Pegasus said. Blitzen was very happy to shake their hooves, but back at the table of the two fillies, Silver Spoon was looking over her recently gifted sob, as he called it.
"Diamond Tiara! I think...I think these are real! We GOT to check these out! They might be worth something nice, but I think...I may keep mine." She said, looking at the mysterious Unicorn walk with those other colts. Diamond Tiara was livid at the fact a new pony had come, and worst of all, was friends with one of the blank-flanks!
"Sure, ok. Maybe we can get a new dress with this cheap thing. I'll ask Daddy if he knows anything about these, and if he does, I might consider making that colt cry some more!" In her mind, Diamond Tiara set out a plan. If the sobs were worth a lot, she would try and get the Kirin to cry a little more, and get her daddy to buy her some more things and get some bits from her trouble! If not, she would at least make that annoying blank-flanks crush cry, and use it against her in class.
She and her friend set off, but Silver Spoon looked at her sob and held it a little longer before catching up to her friend. "He's such a nice young colt!" she said in a low tone.
Snips and Snails seemed to be a bit goofy for the Kirin Unicorn, but he actually was very impressed with Snails knowledge of snails, and Snips general knowledge of all things that involved planning, and his membership in the Rainbow Dash fan club. He was going to ask him how to become a member, when Blitzen witnessed a strange young colt with a camera flying above. Rumble called out to him, and he then got to meet another colt, Featherweight!
"Hello! I am so very glad to meet you all...but I was wondering, would you all like to see something cool? I brought my pet from Hope's Asylum...where I come from, and I think you might like some pictures of it, Featherweight!" he said excitedly. The others looked at him, wondering what kind of pet could be so exciting to him, but he insisted they come, and he trotted excitedly toward Fluttershy's cottage.
He knocked on the door, and greeted the shy Pegasus and tried to introduce her to his newest acquaintances, but she shied away. He then asked her if he could feed the animals lunch, and she let him. The others were growing bored, when the Kirin made a very odd roaring sound after he was done feeding.
"Um, are you ok, Blitzen? Why are you roaring like a crazy pony!" Rumble said, and Snips and Snails chuckled at him. He looked towards them and motioned for them to get closer for something, but Snails was not paying attention. Suddenly, over the hill, Manny approached them, and all the colts were either scared still, or in the case of poor Snails, fainted right then and there! Blitzen hopped towards the Manticore, and Featherweight snapped pictures up like a machine.
He was hoping he wouldn't have to show others a picture of a mauled colt to prove he where he was that day, but something amazing happened! The Kirin was playing with the beast! Rumble snapped out of it, and asked if he could join in, and Blitzen slowly introduced each pony to the white Manticore. Featherweight insisted he was only going to take pictures, and kept his distance, the creature growling when he felt he got too close. All the colts were very happy, but Miss Rarity soon came and called the colt over, as he forgot he had a punishment to take care of!
He said his goodbyes to all his new colt buddies, and asked them to come by another time to play. "I would love to stay, but I have to be punished for my dishonor of Miss Rarity. I am so happy to have met you all!" he said, but a curious Snails asked why he was being punished. The others waited for him to answer, and he casually answered the slower Unicorn's request. "Well, I may have been kissing Miss Belle, in front of her sister, in Miss Shy's cottage. I was out-of-line, but I'll see you all soon!" He said as he left with Miss Rarity who was taking Miss Shy to their spa date.
The colts stood around, absorbing what was just said. "Wait, Snails, did he just say he was...kissing a filly?!? This dude is soo AWESOME!" Snips said excitedly! Rumble was a little jealous of his new friend, but made a mental note to ask him about his own secret crush on a certain Earth Pony filly. Featherweight was writing the information down, but thought twice about reporting it. "The pictures are enough..." he said to himself.
Elsewhere, a pair of fillies heard about the approximate worth of the gift they were given "IT'S WORTH WHAT!!!" the pink filly said. Her father was just as surprised, but remained calm. "About 200 to 300 bits each, my dear. They don't have much value in terms of beauty, as it would be very hard to form into specific cuts, so they do need to be cleaned and set, but yes, about that price. I must say, if this young colt doesn't want his sobs so badly, ask him to speak to me, and we can arrange a very healthy, mutual business agreement!" Filthy Rich said.
Contrary to what some would say, Mr. Rich wasn't greedy like his daughter, but always looked out for a new business ventures. He also knew, with a good partner in Canterlot, that this would become a popular trend, if he played his cards right. He had first heard of these strange jewels from Miss Rarity, who used them as mere accessories, but was shocked to realize there was a small, but demanding, market for them. He had hoped the one responsible for making these would be older though, as being a child, he couldn't in his right mind make a contract with him. Perhaps he has a Guardian I could ask. he thought.
Diamond Tiara now pictured the poor colt as nothing more than a minting machine, making her hundreds of bits per sob he cried. Silver Spoon refused to hand her stone to Filthy Rich, but he respected his daughter's friend's decision. As he said, "He must really want to be friends with you, Diamond if he gave them so willingly!" Silver treasured hers, while not as pretty as Diamond's was, she knew he gave it to her just by listening to his name. Diamond tried to snap her friend out of her thoughts, and focus on her plan.
"There are a lot of ways to make a colt cry, one is hurting him, and the other is embarrassing him in front of others, but I think we should hit him where he is most weak! His precious Sweetie Belle!" she said with much disdain in in her tone. Silver ignored her, as she went home for the day, and Tiara planned something. "Of course, if that doesn't work, I could always insult his dragon mommy! I bet he would cry like a little baby, Silver... hey, where did you go???"
Miss Rarity's Boutique, & Meeting the Librarian and Teacher
"Ok lil Blitzy. My sister is over at Applejack's farm for the day. She and her friends will be back later tonight, and I am sure that you four will have a nice time! However, I need you to clean all this up." She pointed her hoof up towards the piles of clothes and materials that were everywhere all over the furniture! Blitzen was beginning to think he should have been spanked better, this mess was huge, and he wasn't the best organizer around.
"After that, I shall allow you to go drop these books of at Twilight's and give these letters to the mailmare! Although she should be here any minute after I leave. Take care, and no need to rush my lil colt. Do you have any questions about your tasks or anything? I have a spa treatment with Fluttershy and Miss Shield soon!" she crooned to the colt.
"Nope, not really. But I had an unrelated question regarding earlier this morning, and something with Miss Dash, if I may ask." Blitzen said. She nodded her head, and allowed him to continue. "Well, I would like to apologize to you about that butter, I was eating earlier...I just didn't know Ponies did not do that. I also, wished to ask if Sweetie was still upset with me. I told her...I ate meat before, and I know you all don't eat it, but our Griffon neighbors love making it! I just wanted to apologize for scaring her."
At the reminder of the butter incident Rarity held back a gag in a ladylike manner, but the moment the colt mentioned 'eating meat?!?' She had to excuse herself for a few moments. "Excuse me, I was already feel nauseated my dear. Yes, she seemed mad, but at least you know why. If you could be a dear darling. Don't mentioned what you said to other ponies, alright? Celestia knows not all Ponies are all forgiving as meat-eating Griffons." she shuddered at the thought.
"What is your other question? I admire how open you are to learning my dear! if only Sweetie could do the same!" Rarity said, and gave Blitzen the courage to ask what he wrote to Kellie. She would soon regret her own words.
"Well, Miss Dash was made earlier after a miscommunication. I shan't divulge the details, but she was surprised to learn that Ponies and Griffons could mate. I, of course, told her in as much detail as she needed, the process in which the aroused female pony could foreseeably impregnate a Griffon, or vis-a-versa! However, after I informed her of such a thing, she took off flying really nervously. I guess my question is...Do Ponies here have a level of embarrassment towards talk of sexual intercourse? I mean, I may be young, but..." Blitzen paused as he noticed Rarity's deep red face, and her utter shock at the impropriety of what was just asked of her.
Rarity though about what she knew about sex itself, and when only a few scenes from a saucy book came to mind, but replaced with her sister and this colt, she fainted. Blitzen rushed towards her and laid her on the couch, when Silhouette came by and greeted little Blitzen. "Hey kid! Um, what happened? Did the drama-queen faint again?" she asked, and began picking the white Unicorn up to take her to the spa. After all, she wasn't about to pay for it!
"Yes, I don't get it, I just asked her a question about...well.." the Kirin then proceeded to repeat the story. Unlike Rarity or Rainbow Dash, Silhouette was born without a filter between her mouth and brain. Well, perhaps not fully in Rainbow Dash's case. As such, this lead to a lot of answers that sometimes made either little sense, or, more often than not, were very inappropriate.
Somehow, the following answer was both of these. "The buck are you asking, boy?!? You accused that rainbow-mare of getting a Griffon friend of hers pregnant! Like KNOCKING HER UP! OF COURSE she flew away nervous! Now Miss Uppity has fainted, and I swear, if I can't smooth it over, you can kiss your little filly-friend goodbye! I truly hope you find joy in stroking your...WHAT AM I SAYING!?!" she said as her eyes FINALLY registered what she was saying, the Kirin colt cried and ran upstairs. She took the drama queen on her back, and had to smooth things over now, or face a very sad and possibly vengeful sister Kirin. "Buck me against the wall..."
The colt Kirin hated himself. Not only did it seem he insult the pretty rainbow-maned hair Pegasus, he insulted the Sister of his future special somepony, AND he now made Silhouette, that coolest mare he knew, extremely angry at him. He couldn't help but cry, but then he heard a knock at the door. He came down the stairs carefully, and opened the door, to find a single grey Pegasus mare holding a large box, trying to balance it on her back. Being as gentle pony as he possible could that day, which was very hard in his mind, he helped the mare bring the box inside, but as soon as she smiled at him to sign for delivery, he jumped into her hooves, and cried more.
Derpy really didn't understand what was going on. Normally, when she had delivered a package, she would get a brief thanks, and perhaps a happy response, but this lil colt was crying as if his whole world had collapsed around him. She hugged him back, but felt scales as she hugged him. Although certainly not the smartest pony in Ponyville, Derpy love legendary creatures, and knew right away what he was. "OH MY GOSH! You are a Kirin! You do exist! Wow, can I have your autograph, or I mean for me, because you do still have to sign for this! I didn't know Miss Rarity and Spike made a baby already!" She hugged him tightly, and he finally snapped out of his sadness, as he did start to feel appreciated.
"I am yes! I am so glad you like me, Miss...oh my, your eyes!' he said. The blonde mare was very defensive about her eyes, but Blitzen was fascinated. She was about to give him a piece of her mind, when he said one of the sweetest things she ever heard. "Thine eyes art BEAUTIFUL! WOW! I love them! Thou art so beautiful, thou should be...a model, or whatever! Thine flanks are very nice too!" he said to her. She had heard that last line as a flirtation before by some unhomely stallions, but as she saw the sweet colt cover his mouth and beg forgiveness for being so blunt.
She hugged him, and kissed his cute forehead. "Ahem, just sign here, please! Oh, any letters?" she asked, trying to be professional. He grabbed his letter and explained how to deliver mail to 'Hope's Asylum' by asking for Hermes in Cloudsdale. As he didn't have any postage on hand for his letter, he gave her about five of his sobs, hoping that would cover his postage, which she was very happy to receive. He also handed over Miss Rarity's letters, and said thanks. Before she left, he asked her name, and she simply blushed and said, "Derpy" before crashing into a nearby sign.
He felt bad for her, but she took off sometime after that. He resumed his duties, partly inspired by another uniquely beautiful mare in town. He promised himself he would talk to Sweetie about it. He wasn't a cheat or anything, in fact, he didn't have feeling for those he saw as pretty or beautiful, but he couldn't help but stare. Sister told him his mind would do that one day, and to try to ignore it. He did so, and went back to cleaning.
A couple hours later, the mess was dealt with. He did go and have a snack from Miss Rarity's fridge a while back, but he felt he deserved a little reward. He was very excited to go to the Library, and talk to the Librarian about his home town, and maybe find this Twilight Sparkle he heard about too! "A student of the Princess must be smart!" he said as he left, and secured the shop. He had a key that Rarity had dropped when she fainted, and went to the large tree library in the middle or the town.
He could have swore he heard arguing in a building he passed that sounded like Sillie, but he ignored it, and knocked on the door to the tree building. He was very fascinated with it, and was told to come in by a sweet sounding voice. He entered the building and smiled at the purple Unicorn in front of him, and a pink Earth Pony mare that was talking to her. "Excuse me, I am Blitzen, and I am caring for Miss Fluttershy's animals while she is on her trip. I came from Hope's Asylum, and was told to speak to the head Librarian here about giving thine place a special book on our history! May I speak to her, Miss?" Blitzen spoke nervously, like he was saying something prepared.
The pink mare smiled and was whispering something in the Unicorns ear, When she spoke up soon after. "Hello, I am Miss Cheerilee! The local teacher of Ponyville's school! I am so excited to meet a respectful young colt as thyself Blitzen!" she stressed the thy part of her speech when the Unicorn corrected her.
"I believe it is thineself, but I haven't studied old Equestrian in a while! Hello, I am the head Librarian, Twilight Sparkle! Please, I would love to see this book you brought us." she said. Before she could grab the book with her magic, the colt bent down on his legs, and kissed both mares right front hoofs, and bowed a bit in respect for Miss Sparkle.
"It is indeed an honor to meet thee, student of the Princess! I hath travelled to Ponyville admittedly for a visit to the most fair Unicorn of all, Miss Sweetie Belle, but I am humbled to meet!" he finished and rose to his feet.
Both mares stood in silence, blushing slightly as the young colt kissed them, and Miss Sparkle in particular blushed initially as she assumed the most beautiful of all Unicorns was Rarity or somepony else. Needless to say, she and Miss Cheerilee were shocked and both said, "SWEETIE BELLE!?!"
The colt excitedly told his story about what the Cutie Mark Crusader had done while the Elements were away, something that Twilight must have missed since none of the CMCs were her sisters. Miss Cheerilee sat with Twilight listening to the story as well, and was very impressed on the colt's command of the language, and information about his town's history, and even the technical speech about the Tori-Coil.
"...and that's how and why I ended up here. Admittedly, I wished to visit you Miss Sparkle eventually after making friends my own age, but I had to face mine punishment. I certainly shan't be sneaking behind Miss Rarity's back again!" Both mares asked what he meant, and he casually explained what he and little Sweetie Belle had been caught doing.
"See, Miss Sparkle! It is situations like that I am trying to avoid! I am not accusing you or Sweetie, Blitzen, of any dishonorable conduct, but I do believe we need a sexual education course in Ponyville! I mean, so many have Cutie Marks already, who knows how long it'll take before some of the fillies enter...um." She carefully motioned to Twilight who knew what she was talking about, but Blitzen, being the always naive, decided to share what he thought she was trying to communicate.
"Oh, yes, Fillies generally entered their first Estrus cycles shortly after their Cutie Marks often appear. Of course, the exceptions seem to be Mules and Zorses, who cannot breed, as well as HippoGriffs, who start about two to three years before their Cutie Marks may appear, due to the Griffon body genetics." Blitzen was proud to add that knowledge of his HippoGriff brothers and sister to the two mares, but they were both shocked to hear such information coming from a colt so young looking.
"Mr Blitzen! Who told you about that?!? You are far too young to know the facts of life!" Miss Cheerilee said. Twilight casually objected stating she learned early too, but then the Kirin spoke up.
"I learned over sixty years ago, when I was half mine present age. You see, I am a Kirin!" He had forgotten to mention that fact as he entered the library, and upon hear that, both teacher and librarian jumped up and felt the scales, and not fur, that lined the small colt in front of them.
"How did...the Princess never told me about there still being Kirins! OH MY this is wonderful news! Blitzen, would you mind if I asked some questions about you?" Twilight began to grab scrolls, quills, and inkwells as fast as she could. "Where is Spike! I told him to come down an hour ago! SPIKE!"
Miss Cheerilee was shocked as well. These were creatures of legends, and even romances of dragons and ponies mating years back! She was fascinated, and realized the time was growing late. "Blitzen, I would love to have you come by the schoolhouse as a guest! I believe it'll be fun for you, and you can meet kids of your age..I mean, your maturity! But I did have one question before I go. Do you have a Cutie Mark? I can't see one."
Blitzen charged up his electrical energy just as Twilight brought down a tired young dragon. Spike was taking a nap upstairs and Twilight needed him to record everything about this new creature! She was about to ask him to write what he was doing, when Spike noticed the new pony, and offered his claw to shake. "Hey I am Spike, who are--"
"Please young Dragon, don't touch-" he tried to say, but the electricity jumped to the poor scaled creature. "OH MY! Please, it was an accident I am sorry Miss Sparkle, I didn't mean to hurt him!"
"It's ok, I am sure he's ok, his scales protected him from tougher stuff before so--Blitzen? BLITZEN!" Twilight called, but he fell hyperventilating. Combined with the stress of today's earlier events, he couldn't take the thought of hurting someone physically, on top of all those he may have hurt emotionally.
Cheerilee commanded Twilight to go get help as she held the colt in her hooves. "Breathe young one, breathe with me! It'll be ok. I promise you, you had a long day! " she repeated over and over. While she did this, she noted the scars, and made a note to bring it up later to Twilight. Pinkie Pie arrived from nowhere, and said she felt a doozy, and saw both Spike and her Kirin buddy on the ground. She rushed to Spike, as Cheerilee was holding her colt, and she started to tear up.
"It's all my fault! I felt a doozy a few minutes ago, but thought it was my Kirin cupcakes bruning! I am so sorry I wasn't here for you guys, Cheerilee!" She stroked Spike, who was waking up about the time she started to cry.
"Pinkie, what happened, all I remember was this bright pony, and... Oh my gosh, what happened to him? Did I do that?" The young dragon asked.
"No, he accidently shocked you as he showed his Cutie Mark for Twilight. We had no idea he had to cycle that much power to show his mark. I blame myself for aski--"she was interrupted by a team of medics who came and took the young colt to the hospital, that Twilight had called over to help.
"Please, I don't know much about Kirin biology, but please be careful around his horn and fur! It may still hold a small electrical charge!" Twilight passed on to the medics, who rushed him to the hospital as quick as they could.
"Spike, I am so sorry for waking you up like that, and sorry I put you in a situation like that! I am so clumsy, please forgive me!" she begged her assistant, who smiled back at her.
"It's ok, Twilight, but don't you think we should write the Princess about this? I mean, what if pony medicines don't work on...whatever he is." he said. Needless to say, twilight had wrote a quick letter to the Princess with huge URGENT written all of it. Spike was happy to send it as soon as he could.
"He's a Kirin, Spike. I guess his mother was a Dragoness, and his father was some sort of Unicorn guard or..Spike?" Twilight asked the young dragon, but she soon realized what information she gave to him.
You mean, a dragon and pony can...make foals too? I don't know if I want one now, but if Rarity ever wants one...! His mind thought, picturing a white and green mixed Kirin in his head. He was so happy with this information, but Twilight snapped him out of it.
"You are way too young to make me an aunt, Spike!" she said, and took him to the hospital.
Dear Princess Celestia,
I write this as fast as I can as a little Kirin named Blitzen was visiting our Library today when Spike touched him while he was showing us his charge-up and Cutie Mark! Spike is fine, but Blitzen is currently not breathing well. We need information on how to best treat this colt!
Author's warning: Some more Drama, but the end chapter letter explains his scars. Please be warned.
The Kirin lay in a bed at the hospital. His breathing was under magic-assistance, but he was still declining in health very slowly. The doctor and nurse ponies had gathered all the information from the various ponies he had came into contact with, but a certain group of girls were still not present to assist on some missing relevant information.
Pinkie Pie was sent some time back to call the girls over to the hospital, but she didn't wish to upset them on who was there, until Rarity and Twilight heard from the staff what exactly happened. She just told them something important was happening, and needed them right away!
As they waited the results, Princess Luna appeared with a small number of her Opliptera guards at her side. She had written to Twilight in response to the colt's condition, and came directly, as there was something she needed to discuss with Twilight regarding the nature of the Dragon hybrid. "Twilight, if I may share a word in private" she motioned to her sister's student, and they talked alone in an isolated room.
After discussing the details on what had happened during the day, Luna was prepared to share the bit of news that would become relevant to the colt's past. "You see Twilight, I fear my Sister did not tell of the Kirin, because the Sister of lil Blitzen harbors great resentment toward her. I am unsure what my sibling did, but I know she blames her entirely for an old emotional scar. On top of that, she also recently left him alone, while she laid her partner's ashes in the Griffon land. Marron Flame, sadly, had succumbed to a recent Changeling attack on the Sanctuary near Ponyville." Luna paused, and let Twilight process this.
"Wait, you mean the Changelings that attacked at the Wedding attacked 'Hope's Asylum' as well? Why would they do that?" she asked. Luna had no answers, as her investigation showed that the local Opliptera and Griffons left no prisoners alive, and the only Changelings alive were ones like Mimic who had lived there for many years prior, under their protection.
"I am unsure what caused it, but around that attack, is when that white Manticore appeared. At first, he attacked all invaders, and left everypony else alone, but Blitzen, and his innocence, is the cause that calmed the beast. He wrote about it some months ago, and we had only discovered it recently, as the letters from the refuge had been sent...somewhere else. It twas not my Sister's fault, but they used an old arcane communication system. It seems Blitzy was the one to correct the error after meeting his friends." Luna paused, and motioned for one of the guards to enter, and he handed something to his Princess. "My sister does remember and care for them," she said as she looked at the item.
She floated it to Twilight, and inside, was a picture of the father and mother of Blitzen, smiling together in the Canterlot Royal Gardens, along with a much more fluffy foal Blitzen. Twilight was stunned, as they looked so happy together! She gave the picture back to Luna and cautiously asked about something both Cheerilee and Rarity had seen on Blitzen. She framed her question as a question about dragons. "Prin...I mean Luna, how long does it take for Dragon, or even Kirin scales to heal? I am just curious about something I may have seen on Blitzen's..."
"You speak of the scars? Rest assured, my ears have been informed, not by you, but a former guard, one Silhouette Shields. She wrote me sometime back, and after hearing from others as I came in, I can confirm whatever caused those was a deep tissue damage to the Kirin. Scales are naturally tough, and to injure them..." Luna bowed down, holding back anger. "If my sister were to see that evidence, I fear his beloved Sister would be banished not to the Moon, but to the Sun itself. Celestia does not take kindly to...abuse of her subjects. My own opinion, is more..." She spoke with hidden rage, but stared over at the small colt to diffuse her anger.
"I cannot stay for very long. Please give this to Sweetie Belle, his object of affection. You may read it as well, but I fear you may have to restrain Rarity, for what it ask of her sister, may upset her. Don't worry, I think she will eventually agree with what it asks. It is something of a last resort though, but most Dragon Magic is. I also informed the staff of Our old calculations on how to treat Dragon hybrids, and HippoGriffs, should anymore come from their Sanctuary. I expect an update when my second most faithful colt has recovered. Farewell, Twilight," and she beckoned her guards to escort her out a rear exit.
Meanwhile, in a fountain near a certain sleepy Kelpie, a letter materialized of Royal parchment. Kellie woke up, and looked over the letter. She was very happy that the Princesses had remembered her, but once she read the contents about Blitzen being in the hospital, and especially about his flank scars, she was greatly saddened. The memory behind that was a sad one. She read over a few paragraphs at the bottom of the letter, and signed her mark on it, and used her water magic to send it back, and also wrote two long letters to the caretakers in Ponyville. "I hope he is ok. She is coming back soon!" she sensed, and went back to sleep, praying to the stars for Blitzen's care.
The Cutie Mark Crusaders finally arrived at the hospital just around the time Princess Luna had made her egress. They were unsure why they were brought there, but Sweetie was hoping that a certain colt didn't get hurt. The truth was, she had completely forgotten to tell the others about her colt-friend coming to visit, and Scootaloo would at least, be very upset about it. As it turns out, Blitzen was in a bed as they entered, and Apple Bloom and Scootaloo simply rushed to his side, and greeted the still unconscious colt. Sweetie started to cry, and eventually confessed to her friends the events of the previous night.
Apple Bloom, as it turned out, was the most upset. "I thought we were friends, Sweetie! I know you and he are going to be each o'thers special sumpony, but he's our friend too! You caant hide him from us, just because you want to kiss him all the time!" she said, as she hugged the colt gently, and pet his mane with her hoof.
Scootaloo sort of understood why she kept it secret, but said nothing to her friend directly, but did something Sweetie did not expect. She went up to him, and hugged him very tightly, and for a moment, it looked like she even snuck a kiss on his side. Scootaloo said "You are still cool, even in the hospital!"
Sweetie didn't say anything, as she knew she had lied to her friends. She approached her colt friend, but Twilight directed her to come with her. Sweetie followed her sister's friend, and let her friends have a moment with her special Kirin. Twilight read the scroll, and told Sweetie she needed to kiss the colt to wake him up. But not a mere kiss, but something very emotional. Rarity had already objected to this solution, but the colt was recovering so slowly, she decided to let it happen, albeit if she was not present. There was more to this solution, and Sweetie read it herself, and Twilight made sure she understood what it meant. She thought about it for a while, but soon nodded, and urged Twilight to leave them alone.
Twilight escorted the other Crusaders out, and Sweetie stood over her friend. "I know I am too young to have a special somepony, and I so want it to be you, but what if I am not good enough? What if I am a blank-flank forever? But, I know you want me to be yours, because you wrote me so many times! I so wish I could have written you more!" she held back tears, but swallowed her breath, as she leaned over, and did that kiss they talked about a night before.
At first nothing happened, but then she felt something kissing her back, and soon two hooves held her tightly against his body. Blitzen was up, but still a bit out of where he was, and what Sweetie was doing there with him. "Please tell me Spike is ok? I am so sorry I hurt him!" he asked. Sweetie nuzzled him, and just laid with him. He teared up, but soon talked about his day with Sweetie, and told her about being sorry about the meat, scaring her sister about sex with Griffons, which thankfully she did not ask about in greater detail, and his fight with Sillie. He told her about the feelings he had about Derpy, and Rainbow, but Sweetie hugged him and said it would be ok, and told him about how she looked at Big Mac, Mr. Fancy Pants, and Truffle a few times. She even giggled and told how she wanted to look like Cheerilee when she grew up!
They stared at each other, and kissed one more time, when the door creaked open, and a pile of two fillies and four colts fell through. Of course, rather than saying nothing, Rumble nudged Featherweight and said "I told you he wasn't a liar!" and Snips and Snails cheered them on. Sweetie ran out of the room, and the colt simply hid under a pillow hiding his growing blush. Featherweight asked him, with a notepad in his hoof. "So Blitzen, what do Sweetie Belle's lips feel like to you?"
URGENT PLEASE READ!!!
Dear Guardian(s) of my dear Blitzen,
I am the Great Kellie, Guardian Kelpie of Hope's Asylum. I write this magic parchment to you to ask of the condition of my most dear nephew (by town, not by blood relation) Blitzen. I understand that his nature as a 121 year old Kirin may have been a shock, but rest assured, he is very much a child in mind, and even in body still. I implore you to assist me, in this one favor. I am aware you have discovered scars on my nephew. I don't wish to bring up old stories, but Blitzen DID hurt others greatly, and one poor griffon chick nearly lost a wing, due to his anger. In response, I planned on keeping Blitzen from enjoying his favorite pass times, and make him write and visit everypony and others who he harmed, and help with their recovery. In the end, Rapi Dash, his Sister Kirin (but of no blood relation) rejected that punishment, and struck his flank with, not a mere implement, but a fiery attack from her own natural elemental magic.
I never heard a child scream the way he did, and I saw so much fear in his eyes, even the might Griffons and a Minotaur who was visiting, dared not provoke Rapi's ire. She justified to him, as he screamed and begged for his life it seemed, that he was an evil pony who nearly killed, and not a Protector like herself. He cried many tears as she struck only once more, before I attacked her. I know Celestia may see this letter, but I assure you, mine Princess, I truly feared for the colt's life! I used my Elemental connection of water to cool her flames, but she attacked me as well, saying I was a carnivorous Genocider of her Sea-Pony kin.
I finally bit her in defence, and she calmed, and forced the colt to sleep outside the town for over a week. I visited him everyday, and treated his wounds, but the scars ran far deeper than the physical and I honestly believe his emotions were hurt as well. While I confessed my Sins to the Great Princess Celestia all those year back, I did not act alone. I also confess, to Luna at this very moment, my crimes of the capture, and devouring the creatures known as Sea-Ponies. Forgive me, as I shall never forget their fear as I consumed them selfishly with that accursed Sea-Dragon.
There was also a third scar on my dear Blitzen, and the reason that the "Blitzy Laws of Protection" were written about 73 years ago. This is more hidden, but to the very special somepony that may find it, I urge you not to tell him why they are there. Long ago, a greedy Unicorn came to our refuge, and convinced Rapi to sell her and Blitzy's old scale moltings to him, to use as materials. He found a market for them as accessories to the Canterlot ponies, and even as preferred lining to guards. The problem was, there was only a limited supply of old moltings. He foal napped Blitzen sometime after the supplies ran out, and held him hostage in exchange for Rapi's scales, and her sobs. While she did as she was asked, he kept the colt, and was removing the fresh scales himself as the grew with tools!!!
Rapi informed Celestia about this, and she managed to ban the Kirin scales from official sales, and even destroy the Guard's suit that had them, but didn't find the stallion behind the trade. The poor colt was missing for over six months, when a group of Opliptera, in exchange for a place to call home, were chosen to investigate, and found him hiding in a small settlement. Rapi herself went to retrieve him with the night-Ponies, but came back changed, and extremely protective over him ever since. He still has a series small scars near his underside. Should he ever marry, perhaps the lucky mare will find it, but I urge her to never bring it up, as he repressed the memories long ago.
I urge you, that find of this letter, to appeal to your Princess to let him care for himself. There was an ancient law, before the banishment of Nightmare Moon, that Dragons, and their kin, have full rights to Equestrian Laws, so long as they swear allegiance to one or both Princesses, and lived over a century in Equestria, or more. Please seek this out, as I cannot do much away from water. I have my own Sins to bare, and I don't need an innocent creature to pick up my old habits.
I thank you all for your time, and please, keep this away from foals, colts, and/or fillies. They need not be burden with the truth of my dear Blitzen.
Blitzen was unaware of what had really occurred while he was out, but did explain to the doctor what he did himself when it all happened. "I held back my power as best as I could, while Spike touched me. I believe, without a ground, my body absorbed the energy after a while I did so, because some Dragons are weakened to Lightning and electricity. I feared the worst for the young one." He stated, fairly sure this is what happened. He still held back his sadness over what he said to the mares that day.
Nurse Redheart and the doctor explained his heart went out of flux due to electrical energy exposure, and that is why he could not breathe properly. They also told him steps, such as magical discharging to release energy from his body, in emergencies like he faced. The colt understood, and listened to the medical advice as best as he could. When he was done, he was brought out to a waiting Pinkie Pie, who took it upon herself to let Blitzy ride her back. He hugged her tight, and told her how much he loved his party Auntie. She was blushing at that phrase he used, and took him straight up to her room, so he could rest. Before he did, he wrote a letter as fast as he could, to a very special pony. He read the words as he wrote aloud:
Dearest Princess Luna,
I shall hope this letter finds you well. Thine night was especially beautiful tonight, and I am looking at it with a new appreciation. I shall not bother thee too much, but I wanted thee to know, whatever thine had Miss Belle do, I am greatful for thine assistance. I truly owe thee my life, and if I could, but for one day serve thee, please let me know!
I must ask what thou had her do? She seemed somewhat sad. I need to know if it is something I could pay her back with a much appreciated gesture. I am bound to her as I am to thy service.
I love thee Princess, as my favorite Princess! No offence to thine Sister intended.

He sealed the envelope, and prayed towards the night sky, placing the letter near his hooves, and after his nearly silent prayer, the letter disappeared! He looked down to make sure the wind didn't blow it down, but looked toward the moon, and bowed once more before joining his Auntie in bed.
A female Opliptera sargent hid above the window sill, and smiled as she heard the words he said. She had long ago considered the Kirins as saviours for her clan, and was glad to do this one favor to pay the colt back. She flew with all haste to deliver the letter to her Princess that night. =========================================================================
The next morning, Blitzen woke up, but his Auntie was not anywhere to be seen. He searched all over the room, and fed Gummy a small breakfast before walking down the stairs to ask the Cakes, when "SURPRISE! Happy Glad you are back from the Hospital Party and also a very special Welcome to Ponyville Party!" I hope we didn't scare you.
Blitzen was a little shocked, but blushed at the gesture his Auntie gave him. He walked into the room, and got introduced to many ponies he never saw before, and was even welcomed by the Mayor, although he swore her grey mane was pink in places. He also got to finally meet the Apple family, and shake the hand of Apple Bloom's big brother, Big Mac. He hid a chuckle, remembering Sweetie's minor crush on the stallion, and was happy that he was going to be delivering Apples to the animal sanctuary at Fluttershy's Cottage, as he worried the food was running low the day prior.
He then got introduced to her sister, Miss Applejack, and while she seemed to prefer to shake his hand, being a gentle pony, he insisted on kissing her hoof like he normally did, and then shaking her hand. Applejack eyed him suspiciously, but thought better than to ask why he seemed happy to meet the Apple siblings.
Blitzy hung out with his colt friends, playing various games, but could not find either Scootaloo, or Sweetie anywhere. He excuse himself, and left to seek them out, as he felt the need to ask about what happened at the hospital. Suddenly, he heard crying coming for behind the building, and trotted over, but snuck around when he saw Sweetie crying in Scootaloo's hooves. "I just don't know if I am good enough for him, Scoots! That spell Luna and Twilight had me used means we are bound together or something really serious! I knew he was special, but I didn't want to see him die either! I am just so scared!" Sweetie said.
Blitzen backed away slowly, trying to understand why that old Dragon spell had to be used. I thought I was just hurt a little bit! I never asked for Sweetie to bound her life to mine! Oh Luna, what have I done? He rushed to her side, surprising her and her Pegasus friend. "Sweetie, tell me thine didn't bind thyself to me! I am unworthy of THEE! I am nothing, and I should have...should have..." he stopped himself from crying and his Sweetie Belle came to hug him tight, along with Scootaloo.
"Don't cry! Cool guys don't cry! Even if they cry diamonds or whatever!" Scootaloo encouraged him from succombing to tears. Both Sweetie and he looked at each other. He suddenly understood why Miss Rarity wasn't there, why Sweetie kissed him that way, EVERYTHING made sense to him but, Sweetie was still so young!
"My dear, if I...if I could take back our binding, serve Our Princess of the Night instead, and see thee when we are older would that be..." he was silenced, as again, Sweetie kissed him deeply again, and held him tightly, while Scootaloo scared the crowd who was trying to watch them away. He hated what had happened! He hated himself for panicking, and being such a stubborn colt, but he had to grow up. If not for his sake, for his Sweetie now more than ever.
"I won't take back what I did for you! Blitzen Kirin, I LOVE YOU too much to take away what happened last night. Please don't EVER say you'll take my love away!" Sweetie said. Suddenly, it seemed like Sweetie was the older one, and poor Blitzy felt like a mere foal to Sweetie's maturity of a mare.
He looked into her eyes, those beautiful eyes he would move mountains for, fight Changelings for, and yes, earn her love for, and said the words she wanted and needed to hear. "I love thee too, my Sweetie! Even if we are bound, I want to prove to you I am worthy of your love, and I swear, to my oath to the Princess, I shall do the same for thee as thou hath done for me.
The crowd had been dispersed when Applejack found them staring at the young couple, and heard what they said to each other. Twilight had explained a bit of the implications to this fancy Dragon Magic they had used, and given what was said, she secretly thanked Celestia thank it wasn't Apple Bloom at first. But after seeing how he cared for the filly, she almost took that back. Almost.
Blitzen walked along with Sweetie, and wished to continue the talk he had started with the Librarian, but before he did, he had to settle the most important thing to his Sweetie: dealing with Rarity. They entered the boutique holding hooves and saw Rarity working on a collection of clothing. She turned around and greeted Sweetie Belle, but ignored the colt near her and resumed her work. He became a bit disheartened, but his filly stood up for him "Now hold on, sis! I know you don't agree to what I did for Blitzy, but you can't ignore him, and hope he goes away! I am not saying I understand this binding stuff fully, but I am still free to grow up and love whoever I want!" she stopped and waited for her sister to respond.
Rarity looked at Sweetie, and simply motioned her head towards her room "Please leave us, there is something I need to talk to this gentlecolt about, darling." Sweetie had no idea why her sister seemed so disturbed, but she left them alone, but peaked out the door to watch what would happen. Once she was out of view, Rarity pulled a watery-looking parchment and handed it to the Kirin colt. He recognized it right away as Kellie's, but some of the writing towards the bottom appeared missing. What he read, he had tried to forget so badly long ago, but he looked back, and could see one of the mentioned scars. He stared up at the mare, and for a while they said nothing to each other.
Blitzen opened his mouth to speak. "I admit, I never knew what stopped my Sister from hitting me that day, my Auntie makes me happy telling me that detail. I remember thinking when she called me an evil pony that I deserved this, and I would die, and find my way to the world beyond. I really hurt that Griffon, but I grew so much after that pain I felt, as I never wanted to upset her again. I don't know about the other things, but Miss Rarity, I.."
"You didn't tell me the truth, YOUNG colt! You never told me about that part of your life either, and I knew there was a reason, just KNEW, that you had some motivation for sending me such nice gifts. I truly believe the Princesss words, that you are a colt, but I also know you are no different than any stallion that has tried to charm me over the years. How dare you go after my Sweetie Belle!" She grew from hidden anger, to outright rage in front of him and the colt shied away, but he didn't want to run, he had to face this.
"I am truly sorry for not telling you about my true age, about my past, and making your sister 'bind' herself to me, just so I may live.I don't ever expect you to forgive me, but, my dear Sister Rarity, and beg you to take it out on me. Sweetie made her decision from my sake, but any punishment I truly deserve." Despite the recent memories of his scars, he braced himself for Rarity's rage, and soon, received a smack across the face. He stood in silence, as she just stared at him.
"You still have growing up to do, Kirin colt, but...I shall let you and Sweetie see each other. On condition, when my parents come from Manehatten, you will be the one to tell them what happened. No more lies or withholding, young stallion!" she said, and kissed his face where she had struck him. "I don't know what came over me, but I am glad that I will call you my sister's love, one day when you earn it."
Sweetie came down, and hugged her sister, she saw almost everything that happened, and while she wasn't sure what the letter said exactly, she knew it was rough on her colt. She told her sister she loved her, and "I'll tell mom and dad too! I am so glad you two talked." They hugged, and Blitzen was happy things were at least a bit resolved, but in the back of his mind, he knew his own Sister would be here soon, and that would bring it's own problems.
Blitzen left the botique to do his chores for Fluttershy, and told Sweetie he would be at the library telling Miss Sparkle all about him. On the way, he was greeted by his Auntie Pinkie, who was worried about where he left to during the party. They talked at Fluttershy's and he reassured her things were going to work out.
Pinkie made things even better by offering to talk to Rarity more, on condition he let some of what was talked about under their Pinkie Promise be said. He agreed to her offer, and they went on their own way. Right before Pinkie left however, he whispered something in his Auntie's ear, and the mare looked at him, but smiled. "I have never done one of 'those' parties before, but I'll try it out! Give me a couple days!"
The lone colt walked to Manny and pet him for a little and hugged him tightly. He pulled out a pack that he had tied in his mane, and looked into it. "I need to make things right, for my Sweetie" he said to the beast who simply licked him, as he put the small pack in his own bag.
He finally arrived at Twilight's home, but the Unicorn was not there, and he soon ran into Spike. It had been a while since they had seen each other, but Blitzen extended his hoof towards the dragon and they both chuckled. he sat with the dragon for a bit, waiting for the Unicorn, when Spike asked him a question. "Since...since you and Sweetie are together now, could I ask you about, Rarity? I have a crush on her since I first saw her, and I know I am a young dragon still, but, how do I win her, like you did to Sweetie?"
"It depends, my dragon friend, Have you been a gentle-Dragon to her? Have you always respected her? and, most importantly, have you given her things, love, and appreciation, without expecting back?" If you have, just wait, she will see it. Besides, I think Sweetie has been trying to get her to notice you since I first told her what I was!" the Kirin chuckled, remembering the way Sweetie described a purple and green Kirin foal she saw in a dream.
Twilight came back soon after, and she had a new supply of scrolls and quills. She seemed very excited about writing about the hybrid, when Spike asked him one question he didn't expect. "Hey, where is your mother anyway? I understand your father lived long ago, but what about the dragoness?" he asked innocently. Blitzen looked down, and gathered his thoughts, but waited for Twilight to ready her quill.
"She left me, a long time ago. When her lover, my father, perished due to age, my Sister told me she had no reason to stay in the Pony lands. She told me that she sleeps in a far off mountain, and will wake on my birthday number 136, but until recently, I hadn't thought about her much." He hoofed over a picture he had saved of her holding a very small foal, and what seemed like, another Kirin too. "She was very beautiful, but she took my brother with her. I hope he is well, as some Dragons don't take kindly to mix breeding." He said with some experience of the matter.
"There's a green forest dragon in the nearby woods here I still fear wants to hunt me, but mine Sister has seen he stays away. She is not as bad as my scars show, as I still love her, but she is very hurt. Her story is much more bleak, but I shall tell you, but don't tell anypony else this, at least not for now. ." He implored to the Librarian and Dragon. They motioned the actions of a Pinkie Promise too, and he told them, without skipping any detail what Rapi had told him, and why she cursed Celestia to this very day.

I would firstly like to introduce myself. I am Rarity, and I am a fashion designer, and a business owner in the town of Ponyville. I am also the older sister of Sweetie Belle, whom you know as the filly that the colt Blitzen has taken notice of recently. After taking the colt to the hospital, the medical staff could do very little to save the Kirin, and as a result, we had to use a Dragon magic called binding to save him from possible death. I, personally, objected to the use as to be honest, I am not my sister's guardian, our parents are. But as the time grew shorted, and the colt seemed to lose more life, I relented in its use.
My dear friend Twilight Sparkle told Sweetie of what the 'binding' would do. It would allow their lifeforce to be shared between them, but at the cost of some of Sweeties being used to restore the colt. She only asked what that meant, and I regretfully told her they were bound by life itself. Should one die, they both will die, as the scroll said. Princess Luna even offered to do it, should Sweetie object, but this wasn't a necessary option. I am unsure if this would have made him immortal, or her mortal, but I'll leave that to Twilight to inquire.
The choice of being lovers was a separate one Sweetie had made of her own will, and as we talked, I told her binding didn't require her to be bound physically. I regret this talk also had me discuss the facts of life to my dear sister, but she was surprisingly aware of these facts due to one of her friends finding some awesome book at her idol's house. I swear I will have to talk to Rainbow Dash about hiding her belongings where young eyes cannot see, but I digress.
I sort of feared that Sweetie may know a bit too much about, 'sexuality', but I remembered a question the colt asked about Griffons, that made my mind realize he knows about it as well, and thankfully is respectful of my sister to not engage in such behavior yet. I surely 'hope not' anyway! I fear I am too young to be an actual Auntie to a little foal!
Please feel free to write to me again. I admit I was very upset that Blitzen did not tell me his age. I feared him some sort of deviant at first, but he is so sweet, I cannot see him in such light again. Twilight insisted the tired Kirin stay over, as it was well past his bedtime when both his story was complete and his very long answers regarding sexuality of other sapient beings in Equestria were completely documented. She tucked him in, and secretly hoped to find somepony like he and herself who loved to learn and research together. She thought about what else to do, and finally decided to write her Princess what had transpired. She knew Luna and her sister spoke, but she still felt the need to document what had happened in a brief form for her mentor. Spike was barely awake, but sent the scroll before they all rested for the night.
Spike woke up Twilight and himself through a series of flaming burps and scrolls being sent to Twilight, and one written to him specifically. He quickly handed the scrolls to Twilight over, and read his alone, and was shocked to find a list of Dragon-Calls and other Magic spells of his ancestry. A note was attached at the end, that stated to Use these wisely from the Princess herself.
For herself, Miss Sparkle read a few more copies of the Canterlot Archives severe lack of information regarding the Kirins, and even the Kelpie of Hope's Asylum. Since getting that book from Kellie, she learned much about them, and the creatures that were former legends, known as Sea-Ponies. She had written them for copies on that information a while back, and was busying herself updating what she learned to them, and was still not quite ready to send her research back yet. The last scroll was a response from her mentor, but it warned of something coming.

I am glad you informed me of the events, as Luna has kept to herself, explaining that we should leave the Kirin alone and let events happen. While I do agree I should not interfere in their lives, I was somewhat distressed that a binding spell was used. In my own personal collection, there are very similar spells to that, and they had been proven unstable and dangerous. But amazingly, the dragon versions seem to work on a completely other level of arcane magic that few have studied, save your favorite Unicorn of history, Starswirl the Bearded.
I shall allow you to visit his research wing sometime soon, but I first need to inform you that I shall be sending a carriage to excort you directlky to Canterlot later today. I fear, from the senses of the Kelpie Guardian, that Rapi has returned, and despite Blitzen coming of his own will, she may seek to harm Ponies if she cannot convince him to go back with her. I will confront her if necessary, as I know she has issues with me personally, that I cannot discuss in this letter. I don't think we will need the Elements to calm her anger but, I am being cautious, and trust you to bear them should she be not convinced.
Kirins are very loving creatures, and very faithful to those they trust. My sister and I have fond memories of an age where many lived along with dragons in our land in relative peace. On the other side, they tend to be quick to anger, have strong jealousy for those they love, and even be outright vengeful, due to their genetic heritage of the best and worst traits of both species. If this filly doesn't understand that, or ever breaks his heart, I fear for her safety, but I know Luna wouldn't have offered that spell if she sensed any ire in that brave filly.

Twilight had finished reading her letter, when Spike informed her that Blitzen had left to go to the school that morning. She was a little upset she couldn't ask a few more questions, but decided to wait for another time. While she cleaned up, she found some drawings Spike had made with Rarity and a little foal that almost looked like him. "Oh Spike, I really still think you are too young to be thinking about that!" she giggled to herself, and cleaned up for the day ahead.
The Kirin had made his way over to the schoolhouse before the first bell was set to ring. Both Miss Cheerilee and he had gone over a few subjects they wished to teach on, and while he had his own schooling at home, he insisted he sit with the students too for the rest of the class. "You may do what you like Blitzen, but I only ask that you don't display any means of affection towards Sweetie during class. Some of the students can be quickly to mock her or yourself. As far as your lesson, any question you feel you rather not answer, please nod, and I will inform the class not to bring it up further, ok?"
The bell rang, and the colt tried to organize his notes in a backroom while the children entered. He saw his Sweetie talk with her friends and smiled, but also saw the face of that pink crowned filly. He remembered her attitude towards him, but made it a point to treat everypony fairly. He anxiously awaited to be introduced by the teacher, and once she called his name, he came out, and smiled to everypony present. "Good morning my dear colts and fillies. I am Blitzen, and for those who don't know I am a Kirin colt. I wish to discuss with you a little about where I come from, and our history. My hope is that all ponies can live together happily!"
Most of the class listened to his lecture well, although he sort of regretted having Twilight write some of the lesson plan out, as what she suggested went over many ponies' his age heads. He finished telling the story of Marron Flame, and the most recent attack, when a question came up from the back row. "Yes Truffle! I saw you had a question?"
"Yes, you stated that Marron was a Griffon with Great Phoenix blood. If she was attacked, why did she not rise again, like Princess Celestia's phoenix pet?" he asked. Truth be told, he had no answer for that, as even his Sister had tried everything, but eventually, she did pass without rising like her bird-like relatives did.
"I must confess, I don't know my young colt. All I know is mine Sister loved her very much, and she was very kind to me, and our refuge. Any other questions?"
"Yeah, I had one...if you are such a great and powerful Unicorn with Dragon blood, why did you settle for a blank-flank loser Unicorn like Stinkie Belle!" the pink filly said, causing some laughs, while Cheerilee tried to calm the classrom. He nodded to the teacher, and she warned her not to bring such questions up, but she continued.
"What? You think she is special? No, she and her friends will always be blank-flanks and you must only like losers too! I guess that is what happens when even your own mommy left you!" Diamond Tiara thought herself pretty smug, and merely waited for the tears of diamonds to rain down from the colt. However, one thing she didn't count on, was that mentioning his mother that way did not make him sad, but rather mad!
"Miss Cheerilee, I ...have to go..please..I don't want to hurt any..pony!" he struggled to say, as his coat brightly lit up and stood on end. The teacher nodded and opened the door where he went out to ground himself and tried to calm his anger, when suddenly, Scootaloo threw something at Diamond Tiara.
"You can't shut up for one day, can you! You know what, I am tired of you, you prissy worthlessly talented..." she said, but had the book throw back at her by an even more angry Tiara. The book however hit the filly in the head hard, and as her head fell, Blitzy couldn't take it anymore, and directed a small amperage, but high voltage bolt towards the smug pony.
The attack hit her straight on, and while it probably hurt her, he trotted over to Scootaloo, who was completely knocked out, and bleeding from her head. The class got very anxious, as Cheerilee contacted the medics to come as soon as possible, but Blitzy was not done. "WHY! Why did you attack her! SHE COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED IF YOU THREW IT HARDER!" The Kirin said, involuntarily charging his electric reserves again, and pointing his horn towards the pink filly. "Answer me! Why do you do such a thing?" he cried out, but Silver Spoon answered for her.
"She wanted your special tears to sell them for a dress! She wanted to make you cry to get them! I am sorry I didn't warn anypony!" Silver Spoon confessed, and started to bawl out crying, both scared that her friend was going to be killed, and of the angry colt. The others in class were afraid as well, except Sweetie who looked at her colt, and he knew he couldn't harm anypony, and discharged the power into the roof.
He stared at the roof, and apologized to Miss Cheerilee, who was still attending to the bleeding Pegasus. He grabbed a small bag of about five sobs and threw it in front of Diamond Tiara. "Take them, I don't need them, enjoy your dress." He then turn to Cheerilee again, and grabbed a bigger bag, that had ten sobs. "I think this is enough to both fix the roof, and get more supplies, my sweet teacher." He said, and she wasn't sure what they were worth, but she was grateful anyway.
He then hugged Scootaloo, and went to the backroom to get something from his bag, and when he came back, he had a large bag, that he placed on her hoof. He turned to the class, with a straight face and repeated a simple word problem:
"Now class, I gave Diamond Tiara a bag that contained five sobs, worth around 250 bits each. I also gave Cheerilee a bag that had ten more sobs, and one special red sob mine Sister makes called a fire sob. This is worth around 1,000 bits!" The class was shocked, and Cheerilee near fainted at hearing how much she was given towards her class.
"We can finally fix up this place and get better desks for everypony!" she said aloud and blushed when she realized she shouted, but Blitzen just smiled at her outburst, but continued on with his problem.
"I gave my dear friend, who stood up for me, encouraged my first talk with my future special somepony who SAVED MY LIFE and I don't care if she were a blank-flank forever, she is STILL my friend, a bag that has FIFTY sobs. Most are mine own, but ten are fire sobs. Now I plan on giving Rumble, Snips, Snails, and Featherweight one red sob each and everypony else here two of mine each. Tell me, HOW MUCH does Diamond Tiara NOT get from me by being mean!" he said, and walked out as the medics arrived. He came back in a said, "Anypony who answers this special question by tomorrow gets more sobs...I have many more, after all!" With that, they all went to work on the math problem, while the medics helped out Scootaloo.
Blitzen walked out, feeling very proud he didn't hurt Diamond Tiara more like his sister had did to him. He felt happy teaching her a lesson, but felt one more thing had to be done, and he marched over to the house of Diamond Tiara's father, Filthy Rich.
"I can't believe I have only five of these stupid things I wanted more!" Diamond Tiara complained, but a very angry Cheerilee came up to her, and informed her she would have detention for the next month! "No, she started it, I just ended it, and besides, he hurt me too! Make him go to detention! I'll send my daddy after you, you heartless..."
"DIAMOND TIARA! What did you do, young lady? I was brought by a nice young colt, in whom I was hoping to establish a nice jewelry exchange business relationship with, and he informs me you put a filly in the hospital?!?" he asked, and a medic came by, and confirmed Scootaloo was in fact, going to get checked up on.
"Tiara, I fully expect you to do detention your teacher has you do, PLUS volunteer at the hospital for a month, AND, those five sobs you got are mine now. NO more dresses for you, young lady!" he said, tired of the day he had. On top of this, the Zap Apples were not in yet, and were causing him much in lost profits.
Diamond Tiara looked like her world was going to end, and simply hugged her friend Silver Spoon, looking for comfort. She found none, as she too, was talking to the two other blank-flanks, and drove Diamond further into self pity.
Outside an angry Filthy Rich was devastated that he had to punish his daughter, but was glad that the colt had informed him, although was upset he had to attack his daughter. Still, he approached the Kirin. "I am sorry about all this. I shall see to it that the young Pegasus gets her bits to pay for her care, minus expenses, of course." he said.
"No, mark down your costs, I'll gladly give you more sobs as payment, she deserves it all. What these Canterlot folk don't understand is, I don't want my sobs, but if they will take them, and my friends can be blessed, I shall do so." he stated as a matter of fact. "Mine Sister is the one that refuses to deal with them, after an incident a long time ago. I still remember that Unicorn, and his greed..." he recalled, but looked to the Stallion. "I am sorry about your daughter, I didn't, she...there was no excuse for my actions."
Mr. Rich thought about it, but this Kirin was being more than generous still wanting to sell this huge lot of jewelry through him, and not that slimey Fancy Pants. "Well, she did behave wrong, and as for her burns, I'll mark it as a small cost of doing business loss. Have a nice day young colt." he said as they shook over the deal.
I hath just returned from a few month trip to lay mine beloved and her ashes in her Homeland. When I returned, Mine foal, Blitzen R. Kirin was NOWHERE to be found! I swear to the heavens above and the holy Faust herself, if thou doth not tell me where thee took him, I shall burn Canterlot and thine Palace off of the land of Equestria!!!

Twilight hugged Princess Celestia tightly. "Princess, what if she attacks you like she said? I couldn't, I couldn't bear to watch you get hurt again." She asked her mentor.
"Her powers are great, by mine are more than her Elements could do to harm me. I do fear for my Guards. You must go to the others, give them there Elements, and I insist, let Blitzen share as long as he can with his filly. For I fear he may not see her again" Celestia said, and Luna walked up next to her in full armor of old.
"What of the Kelpie's law. The Ancient Right of the Dragons? Surely Blitzen has fulfilled his duties asked of him. He even has a bound wif...I mean, lover, correct Sister?" Luna asked. In the old days, the binding of two Ponies and/or Dragons often lead to their betrothal, and marriage when they were of age. Dragons had no limit on their ages, but Fillies and Colts were protected by more modern Equestrian laws.
"It's true, but no matter the law, either little Blitzen must invoke the Law himself, or his bound partner. The old Dragon Magic sees the two as one soul shared between two bodies. I am afraid all I can do for him is calm his sister down before she finds out. Sister, I urge you to listen to what she has to say. I did a horrible thing to her while you were gone, and she still hates me for it."
"I shall listen, Sister. But know this, she has, she has marked her so-called foal. I have seen the scars myself, and the poor dear was. I have held my anger since I discovered it, but if she harms you..." Luna said, with her anger growing and readying to defend her older sibling.
"You will not harm her! I'll deal with this mistake I made to her!" Celestia looked over to Ponyville while the Guards went to retrieve the upset Kirin. "I hope Blitzen is ok..."
After school, Sweetie and Blitzy rushed over to the hospital. He was glad that Scootaloo appeared ok, but she had a concussion, and need to stay in the hospital for a little while. "Hey guys. I am sorry about what happened, but Diamond Tiara really ticked me off. What happened to her anyway?" Scootaloo asked.
Let's just say Blitzen here got her in trouble with both money, and math! By the way, what is the answer to that question you--" Sweetie spoke but Blitzy knew the answer since he asked it.
"She misses out on 29,250 bits...30,500, if you count her dad taking away the ones I gave her. By the way Scootaloo, I had been meaning to say it for a while, but thank you, for everything! The sobs you have with you are worth the most." he said, and whispered what it was worth in her ears.
"Blitzy! If you weren't Sweetie Belle's..., I swear I would kiss you! OHMYGOSH! I can go see the Wonderbolts with Dash next month! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" she said, and laid back down in bed, while the two walked out in the early evening light. They talked for a while, when they saw Twilight run up to them.
"Blitzen, she is coming! Rapi has threatened the Princesses trying to find you. Don't worry, Ponyville is safe, but I have been ordered to bear the Elements, should she try to attack. I know they'll calm her down, but I need you to do something two things for me. " Twilight asked.
"Ok, tell me, my friend." Blitzen stated and held Sweetie close to him.
"First, here is the a copy of the Ancient Right of the Dragons. You can declare yourself under your own care under the provisions, but it must be done, by you or your bound partner. Once it is said, you both are free to live where you will, but..." she paused. "It'll also mean you are both responsible for your own actions. Legally, you won't be children any longer, although you still have to go to school, and learn. But financially, and by the Courts and Princesses, you are seen as Dragons. Think about it, should she try to take you"
Blitzen looked at Sweetie. He already owed her so much, he couldn't take her away from her parents legally now! He already shared his life and fate with her, asking more would be wrong. "I'll consider it, if it'll stop her", Sweetie said, "but I know Blitzen said she was good, so I'll trust him. What is the second thing?"
"Enjoy each other for the rest of the day. Have a romantic date, spend time together. This isn't a request, Luna and Celestia ordered it." Twilight said and hugged the two. "I am so sorry Sweetie, you grew up so fast, and I...I should have tried to heal Blitzen, not use magic that made..."
"Don't say it Twilight, I don't regret anything! I love her, and will earn her love from now, until the end." Blitzen said. "Come, I think I may have something ready for us!"
"No wait! I have a surprise for you too!" Sweetie said to her colt friend, and Blitzen agreed to follow her. They went to the far side of town, where Sweetie had a special date all planned for her special colt friend.
The chambers stayed quiet as the chariot landed. Both Royal Guards and Night Guards watch the tall Kirin exit and walk escorted by her own personal HippoGriff Guardian, and they followed anxiously, until she stopped, looked at one Opliptera, and spoke. "I recall a Cutie Mark like that, you are of the Blade clan, are you not?" she asked the Guard who just stood there.
Her superior nudged her. "Yes ma'am, I was the daughter Night Fury, he was one of the elders who helped find your foal. He ...fell some time ago." she said, still at attention. The Kirin looked at her, and felt her pain she shared, and spoke again.
"Any member of the Blade clan, here me now. Should I find you were involved in anyway with taking my Blitzen, I shall recant my covenant I made you all those years ago. Your families, even now, are being held by Griffons and HippoGriffs at arms, and I merely need say the word, and they shall fall, like all those who have attacked Hope's Asylum before. Be warned! You..." she stopped, and heard a voice, of the old Royal Canterlot Order her to be silent.
"It cannot be! Princess Luna!" she dropped to her knees, and her Guardians did the same. Luna was escorted by her Opliptera Captain, and Princess Celestia. The arrangement made it seem as if Luna was in charge, when in truth, both Princesses planned this to ease the Kirin's hatred. "I thought you, I thought you were defeated! I pray to you..."
"SILENCE! Yes, my dear Mrs. Dash, I hath heard your prayers but, I have to ask, why to you threaten my children so? The Opiptera have never harmed your Ponies, and the Blade clan still speak highly of you for giving them refuge, when others would not. I thank thee for that." she finished, and allowed the female Kirin to speak.
"Forgive me, Zarnah! Signal to release the Blade Clan's families! No blood shall be spilled in my Sanctuary, tonight!" The Kirin spoke with authority like the Princesses, but in Luna's presence, she was merely a servant Pony. "Now, where is my foal Blitzen. He needs to return to mine hooves, as I very much miss him, and I must tell him the words of Maroon's parents."
"He is safe, but Mine Sister and I have discovered scars on your colt. Scars that, we are told YOU gave him! Before we show you to him, you will explain thyself, and why you did what you did to him! I shall excuse no lies, so speak with the truth or face severe punishment! Guards, you are dismissed, resume your normal duties!" Luna spoke clearly to the Kirn, and Celestia could not help but feel proud of her sister.
"Yes, I shall explain myself. Princess Luna, Celestia. I shall speak the truth." She said, but both sisters noticed the distain when she said Celestia's name but allowed it, for later explanation and listened to her side of the story.
Little Blitzen was playing tag, unaware of what was going on in Canterlot. He enjoyed being just a colt, and just playing. He especially loved tickling and hearing the squeaking laugh of the filly he loved. "My Sweetie Belle. You spoil me greatly! Please, what is your.." he stopped, and noticed the hydroelectric dam the was just outside Ponyville. He finally figured out where the electricity was coming from!
"I tried to have them show us around the place, but they said they were fixing something. But we can look over in this area where the generators are my, B---" she didn't finish and she did not care, they had a moment, and they enjoyed it. So what if his mean Sister was coming, she had him for now, nothing could take that away. They went inside, and Blitzen explained how everything worked to her. She sort of knew how it all worked, but listening to his excitement made her happy.
They finished their short tour, holding each other close, and nuzzling when Blitzen asked Sweetie to come with him somewhere. She followed him to Sugarcube Corner, which was all dark, and lit up by candles to a single table. Pinkie Pie had planned a romantic dinner party for two, and was finally ready to let them enjoy all her work. Mr. and Mrs. Cake weren't sure at first, but they were paid a couple hundred bits to do so by the Kirin, and they obliged right away.
Pinkie played romantic music, let the two dance silly together, and just talk over a fancy serving of dinner. She was very happy that Blitzen was enjoying himself. They sat together for the longest time, when he pulled out a small box that he had had hidden near his Manticore for years. She completely deserves this! I hope, I hope she likes it! he thought to himself. "My Sweetie, you have share your life with me these past few days, in many more ways than either of us could have ever expected! I...have held this for many years, and when I saw your eyes that day we met, I knew in my heart, somepony like you deserved it."
It was a large Earth Dragon Gem. An heirloom of his mother's own lineage. He had kept it safe for year in various places, since his Sister gave it to him when he could understand the significance of its power. It glowed, and strengthen the dragon within him but, he had made it into a beautiful necklace for his Sweetie. "I can't even begin to tell you how crazy the jewelry Pony said I was to give this away! But, when the time comes, and we are ready, will you be mine, in fullness of everything, for life and death, in sickness and in health?" Sweetie was stunned what he was asking, but she also knew, should they never see each other again, she would never find a more wonderful colt like him again. She knew a yes meant they'd marry one day, when she grew, got her Cutie Mark, and was out of school, and she knew, in all that, he would wait for her, patiently.
She merely nodded her head, and the excited Kirin built up a small charge of power within him before leaning over and lightly kissing, with not just his lips, but an essence of himself to her. The electricity didn't harm her, in fact it sort of tickled. They teased the kiss awhile, when Pinkie came up behind them and pushed them, towards each other, and said, in an oddly creepy voice "NOW KEEEEEESSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"Pinkie! Leave those two alone, they are..." Mrs. Cake said, but the two fell into each other's grasp, and laid on the floor. While they kiss lightly, the energy did nothing more than tickle both Ponies, but due to Pinkie's rather creepy action, both of them were full of electrical energy, than did a little more intense than just tickle. Mrs. Cake was shocked to hear moans and groans of passion as they kissed, and pulled them apart, fearing they were doing something else entirely in her shop.
When they came to, they stared at one another, and had no idea what they had just felt. "Did we...? That kiss, it was amazing! But...I am sorry if I harmed you, Miss Belle..." the naive Blitzen asked. Sweetie was passed out, but smiling on the ground. He nuzzled her to wake her up, but she only smiled more. He picked her up to his little bed, and started to tear up. "I didn't mean to hurt her. Honest!" he rushed to Pinkie, who didn't have the heart to correct him that she was fine, and just let him cry for a while.
The feeling both would later describe to Pinkie was getting tickled all over every inch of your body, eating the sweetest candy in the world without getting sick, and kissing times a hundred! For now, they merely looked like he and Sweetie Belle had been together kissing for hours, even though they were kissing for mere moments. This moment would be remembered as their best kiss ever!
After an hour of discussion, much was said about Celestia and the Kirin that was nothing more than simple misunderstandings. Luna tried to clarify that Celestia was not the villain that Rapi thought she was, but every time she pressed her for more information, she slumped in silence, and said nothing. Celestia had enough and brought up the letters she received earlier.
"When your Father was killed by my Guards, I had no idea that he had a family with Ponies, let alone had you. He was reported as dangerous, and no matter how many times we begged him to leave that town, he never left. They charged him, and many of them died as well, when he finally fell. I am sorry about that, and especially when I found out about the false reports of attacks. When I first met your mother, and Sisters, I begged her to go to Hope's Asylum, but she didn't want to. Those other Dragons when they attacked and...they didn't deserve to die like that, Rapi." Celestia confessed what she had tried to talk about to the Kirin for years now.
Luna, on the other hand, was upset that her Ponies had deceived her Sister so easily, but as she had not been there, she could not do anything about it. Rapi heard what was said, but it did nothing, and appeared to anger her again.
"You talk as if it were an accident. YOU never asked my father to go! I was still a small foal, and remember to this day he loved my mother sisters and I with all his heart! You did NOTHING to that town, you let them murder my family! I remember when you mentioned Hope's Asylum too, you said it would be for our own protection, but we knew you merely wished to lock us away. I still respect my mother for her decision, and trust me, the dragons did pay, as well as the town., I NEVER forget those who betray me!" The Kirin's flame grew more and more intense, and the Princesses tried to calm her down.
"Tell me, where is my foal. He is my kin, and not you, or the Carnivorous Genocider can take him from me! I'll destroy Canterlot before you take me away, I'll kill everypony before I am banished I..."
"SILENCE! DO YOU SO CASUALLY THREATEN THINE PRINCESS? AND OUR SISTER! DO NOT SPEAK! YOUR COLT IS SAFE!" Luna raised her voice, and the Kirin still seethed in her anger.
"I want my Blitzen, where is he, my Princess?" she asked, running low on patience.
"He is in Ponyville, but, I must warn you. He went of both of his own free will, to visit a filly he has recently been bound to---" Luna didn't get to finish her sentence.
"THOU LET HIM, WHAT?!? Ponyville will be burned, and I shall kill the traitorous harlot mineself! You art not mine princess, traitor of thine night! Thou hath forsaken me!" and with that she teleported outside the Palace, and ran down as quickly as she could to Ponyville.
"Sister, I cannot have my Ponies die, I must have the Elements used on her. She intends.." Celestia said in a mild panic.
"She will do nothing. She is a scared filly, in a mare's body. I honestly, don't know why I had not seen it before. She needs her brother to calm the fire. If all else fails, we shall use the Elements" Luna said, and ordered her chariot and Celestia's as well. Both would get them there faster, but Rapi Dash was a very fast runner.
Sweetie Belle had woken up, and snuggled next to Blitzen in bed, she wondered what it was they had done when Pinkie made them kiss like that, but she didn't care. She was ready to confront his Sister herself if she had to. He was nearly her husband after all, and they were bound, no matter what would happen. She woke up the sleepy colt, and wanted to walk outside for a bit.
Since he had forgotten about the nocturnal animals tonight, he suggested they go to the cottage first, and they walked together in Luna's moonlight. Suddenly, a bright flaming Pony leapt in front of them. She towered of them both, and looked at the small filly with anger. "Sister, no! Please, we are bound together, this most beautiful filly and I. Don't harm--" he was struck again by his sister, and she walked up to the filly and said. "You took my foal away, you corrupted him, and now harlot, I SHALT KILL THEE!!!

Sweetie Belle was scared more than ever before. She knew her sister and the others had the Elements of Harmony with them, and would use them against the Flame Kirin before her. But, instead of running away, she remembered something Blitzen had talked about that very first night the met, and what they never told any other pony.
"Sweetie, I was wondering. Would thou one day like...I am embarrassed I ask this of thee, but foals?" he said nervously. "I wonder, because my poor Sister could not have any, and one day, if I ever had found mine special somepony, I wanted to have one for her! I love her so much, and she deserves to be happy!"
She thought is was an unusual question, especially because she thought he was trying to be ungentle-coltly to her, But his reasons were very sweet! she answered. "I don't know yet, I mean, I really want to because they are so cute, but I don't want to do that icky stuff first. I like kissing though!" she answered and they both laughed.
After a while, they scooted closer, and kissed again. "Sweetie, I don't know if mine Sister would approve of us, but, should she ever try to hurt thee, stand up to her. Don't run! I fear she will harm thee if thine were to run. I, like thee...and if we ever see each other again, I want to be thy special somepony, and maybe thine husband!" He felt very happy to be with a very pretty filly. Sweetie was so happy to hear that, but made him promise that they wouldn't tell the other girls. This night would be theirs and theirs alone. '
She stood her ground and let the attack come. The fireballs passed over her, and nearby, but nowhere near her. She tried to speak to the Kirin. "I love your brother! He makes me so happy, and I made him happy enough to come here! I would DIE for him! So..so, do what you will!" The Kirin was angered, but no matter how much she hated the filly, she knew that attacking her would potentially kill her lil Blitzen.
"COME THEN! Let me kill thee, thine Harlot! You...You hath tricked him!" she said, unsure what to say to scare the filly,. who had backed up and stood on her rear hooves, guarding her Blitzen.
"NO! You listen to me! I won't let you hurt him! I am his, and he is mine! We are not yours, We are our OWN! We declare ourselves free under the Provisions--" Sweetie started to say, when the Kirin neighed loudly and screamed at her.
"NO! Thou can't! You won't survive! They will hunt you, they will never accept you. Don't finish those Provisions, or...I will stab thee myself!" she said, as she came closer, pointing her horn into Sweetie's small neck. She looked at the Kirin, and said nothing, but her friend Blitzen finished the recitement.
"...The Provisions set by Our Elder Dragons, Lao-Shan, Jhen Mohran, Lunastra, and swear Mine Allegiance to My Princesses! and to the Land of Equestria I now call HOME!" he said weakly, but the vow was heard. A shield of electrical energy surround the two small Ponies, and they could not take back the words, but the Vow's native Dragon Magic would protect them, even if just before the Princesses came.
Rapi looked at Blitzen and closed her eyes, she was heartbroken that he didn't need her anymore. He had grown up while she was gone, and nothing could be done, except to warn the ungrateful colt. "You will be hunted, and killed, just like mine siblings! Your filly will die alone, NOTHING you said will stop that! You traded long life for a mere Pony's lifetime. You are not my brother...."
Blitzen teared up at those last words. He knew the binding limited his potential one thousand year life to just Sweetie's but when he heard his Sister rejected him entirely, all hope he had for the future besides Miss Belle was gone. He refused to look up, even when the rainbow beam hit the angry Kirin.
The Elements, though two short of the Six, found temporary hosts for the travelling Pegasi, and had hit the older Kirin, and the princesses stood over the slowly changing yellow Kirin, to greet and welcome her, now that years of pain and hatred were stripped away. "Mrs. Rapi Dash, we still need to discuss many things with you, but first, we wish for you to comfort your Kirin brother." Celestia said.
Rapi Dash felt much more hopeful, but all the memories, everything she had said to poor little Blitzen, she still remembered. She leaned down, and tried to hug him, but he shied away. She though for a bit, and instend hugged his filly, and kiss her forehead. "I accept his decision, and may you live happily for each other." Blitzen cheered up seeing this, and hugged the other Kirin. They were no longer sibling, but they were equals.
Everypony involved was brought inside the Library in town, things needed to be finalized. Much would change, but a lot would stay the same. Celestia differed to Luna for the punishment of the rebellious Flame Kirin. Banishment to the moon and Sun were not an option, and no one was seriously hurt, but still the punishment would show Rapi her place in Equestria.
"Your punishment, is to be bound the the lands of Equestria, and within the realms of Hope's Asylum. You are allowed to travel with escorts to Ponyville for the town's business. You will keep the role of Protector, but you are to report to me, should a need arise." Luna told the formerly bitter Kirin. They exchanged some words in private later, and the Protector of Hope's Asylum left to return to her refuge without the other Kirin beside her.
Luna looked towards the young Kirin, and thought carefully how she had to phrase this next bit of news. It was a very good thing, that would give Blitzen a somewhat normal life with his filly, but it required a mark of sacrifice from the one receiving it. "What has been said, cannot be taken back, the vow is a far older Dragon Magic than most Ponies could even know. That said, we did find a spell for you, young Blitzen. If you are to live your life for your filly, you should be able to age like her. Your previous years will be just numbers, but starting on your birthday, you'll age as normally, and with your filly." the Princess said, but with hesitation.
"But what do I need to do? I'll do anything!" Blitzen said. He held his Sweetie in his hooves and waited for their words. Celestia answered for her sister. "I think you know what is required of you. Luna has mentioned a certain letter in which you promised to serve her, young one." Blitzen nodded and agreed to what was asked. He made that vow, as he did ask for what had troubled Sweetie, and Luna had delivered on revelation to that trouble.
Sweetie was sadden slightly that Blitzen would leave again, but Celestia noticed this. "You know, as a Pony who can make your own decisions, you could follow him to Canterlot while he trained. It is up to you, my little pony." She left Sweetie to decide, and she made a hard decision. So much had happened, and despite how much she cared for her dear colt friend, she really couldn't give up everything she had while she waited for his service to end.
"I can't go with you, Blitzy. My friends, and my sister need me here. I'll write you as much as I can, and when you get breaks, I will visit you too. I will love you forever, my sweet Kirin!" she said as she hugged him. Blitzen returned the hug, and nuzzled her neck as they said their goodbyes. Part of him was sad he couldn't be close, but he never wanted Sweetie to sacrifice everything for him. He whispered a simple request for her: "Please always have a song in your heart, my dear, it is all I want for thee to be happy."
He wanted to stay longer,but was motioned by the Princesses to return with them. They said one more set of silent goodbyes, before they left for the castle above. He leaned to his Princess guardian, who had done so much for him, and asked what he was meant to do as service. "No worries, my little pony, for you shall be one of mine private guards, I shall see to it no harm comes to you, but you will be trained to fight along side my own stallions and mares, and even as a colt, you shall learn discipline well." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rarity hugged her sister, and had hoped she would stay with her and her parents. They fought, they argued, but they still loved each other. They made their way back, when a package was left at the door of the boutique. It was a bunch of souvenirs from Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy. They included a note explaining they had got stuck in Baltimare, and were doing ok together there. They would explain the story as soon as they got back, but offered these as gifts for everypony.
They smiled at the gifts, and Sweetie went to her room, and hid away her Earth Dragon Gem necklace somewhere very safe. It was Blitzy's promise to her, and she knew one day, they would be able to see each other again, and make a life together as mare and stallion. On the other hand, she was happy to see Spike and Rarity had finally tried spending time together going out, and that made her happy that her sister would, one day, find love as well.
She dreamed of what the future held, and imagined a grown Blitzen looking handsome in a uniform, and smiled happily as she imagined herself grown as well into a beautiful mare, like her sister. The couple held each other and had a finally been able to make a place for themselves and marry on a day they chose so long ago on that first night they met. She never got to see her Cutie Mark, but saw her friend's a bit, and hoped that she could tell them one day what their talents could be. Her dream ended as they held each other, and looked at the cutest little foal she had ever seen, and then her dream slowly faded...
A serious Blitzen was sworn it service as a new recruit of Luna's Private Guard. Unlike most of the Night Guard made up of only Opliptera, her Private Guard were considered a special wing of service, and had Ponies over all types. Luna did not wish for Blitzen to come to harm, but she wanted him to grow before the time came for him to become a husband to his filly, and so she insisted he be trained in that division. I truly hope he shall grow to be a fine young stallion, and a wonderful warrior for Equestria.
Over the months that passed, he turned into a valuable member of the team, and a source of joy when Luna asked some of her Private Guards to talk about their lives. He always relayed the letters he received with great happiness, and thanked her everyday after he was dismissed. One night, after a long talk with her Guard, she looked at a picture that Celestia had given, and saw a mysterious figure on a lake in the midlands of Equestria, it's pattern made it seem to be pony, but it had scales on further examination of the photo. We may have to investigate this new Kirin, one day soon, Private Blitzen.
Sweetie laid before the fierce Kirin, scared, but unsure what else to do besides wait for the inevitable attack. She saw a fireball forming, and tried desperately to dodge it, but another hit her directly, and while not killing her, she was badly burnt, and would die without help.
"You are just a mere foal, harlot! I am your executioner! Before I kill you, and my traitorous brother, tell me, was loving him worth it? I don't see how, he was nothing without me, and will be nothing in death, so ..........AHH!" she screamed.
Sweetie opened her eyes with all her strength, and saw a fully electric Blitzen attacking his sister without mercy! He struck her, and the lightning peeled away her scales, and made her bleed more and more. He finally slowed down, as Sweetie figure out the truth, they were dying and their binding was affecting him. Rapi got slowly up and laughed at him. "You know, even for Marron, I would not have sacrifice my life force for her. It is a shame, you two were both disappointments, but I shall finish you, mine brother, by crushing your cute filly friend.
She dragged her toward the view of little Blitzen, and stomped on her repeated, she had very little life left in her, and before she passed her hoof reached towards him one last time. The Kirin colt was slipping fast, but did one more desperate attack and charged into his Sister Kirin, piercing her chest and releasing the last of his electric build-up with-in her. She collapsed, slowly losing blood and control of her life, while lil Blitzen held the hoof of the dead filly one more time, and he too passed.
Celestia and Luna had marched the four Elements present and two temporary Bearers forward, but they were too late. Rarity cried out, and trotted towards the body of her sister, and cried seeing their last action was to hold each other's hooves as they had passed. She angrily marched towards the collapse Kirin mare and struck her with all her might, before Luna pulled her away, and whispered "Let me end this for you", and let the hatred she felt for what she did to the Kirin colt for those years reflect on her dark offensive magic.
She heard the screams and begging for mercy, but ignored them and when she heard no more, the threat was dealt with, but the Princess of the Night cried because she had killed. "Sister..I could have saved her, maybe banished her for her Sins, but I, I attacked her as she begged, I am a monster!" Celestia heard her sisters cries and ordered the others away to comfort her sister. She was glad she had dealt with it, and admittedly, may have done the same in the exact situation.
Captain Apple Bloom's official followup to the Kirin events:
Many of the Griffons and HippoGriffs left their homes in Hope's Asylum after the news came that their Protector was dead. Families, who had stayed for over 400 years left, and others who were newer moved to nearby Ponyville, to make it their new Sanctuary. The Ponies welcomed them with open arms, but Celestia had to deal with the original town of hopes. She visited with her Sister, to retrieve the Kelpie who had been faithful to them for so long, and the Guards, both Royal and Opliptera Night Guards set the remains of the refuge ablaze. The memories of what remained were too dark to be recalled.
Kellie found a nearby lake to call home, and serve her Princesses and protect the ponies.he eventually made a shrine to the memory of little Blitzen, her nephew Kirin, and her child she never had. Manny was set free by Fluttershy upon her return. It is said that his howls of full moon are not of warning, but of great sadness. He eventually found his way to Kellie at the lake, and stayed by her lakeside.
The Princesses attended the small funeral for little Sweetie Belle. She was buried next to her bound love, Blitzen Kirin, in a plot overlooking the forest. Many of the colt and fillies friends came, but Scootaloo ran away during the event by herself. Nothing was heard from her again. Rarity too was depressed after the events, but did find a successful partnership with Filthy Rich regarding the jewels the Kirin was said to give her. No one knew if it were true or not, however...
A letter eventually was sent to Fluttershy, from Wonder, who had not heard from Zed. Silhouette was depressed she had never got a chance to apologize, and died during a training accident. She was pregnant with two fillies, and he had written to find out where the Zorse had gone after Hope's Asylum was no more. Sadly, even the shy Pegasus could never find the fiance of the silly Opliptera.
Princess Luna reflected on all the follow-up reports, and wondered what could have gone wrong with her Sister over tea. "I don't know Sister. They stood up to her bravely, but we simply did not get to stop her in time. I often wonder what lil Blitzen would be doing with his love now. I bet they would have been so sweet together!"
Celestia agreed with her. "Sometimes, fate is an interesting thing, who knows what little decisions would have altered those events. Still, I wonder Woona, what did the afterlife hold for those two when they passed?" They thought about it for a bit, but then resumed their tea without thinking about it further.
In a place far from Equestria, lost souls who died before their time have a second chance to live again. A Kirin, all grown up and a proud stallion walks together with a white Unicorn mare with purple hair, and eyes of the most beautiful green. They walk together towards a picnic, and eat with two small foals. They later watch the sunset in the sky, playfully kissing and nuzzling each other as the young ones play before bed.
Another mare visits the next day, and the little ones head off with their Auntie to play while the couple spend time holding each other in love, and recalling those memories of long ago, when they were still small and they were simply childhood crushes!
Hello, I wish to write you as I had heard Silhouette and you had formed the new team to protect Equestria from dangers when the Princesses could not. I am very glad that you have found your purpose, as I found your service to the Royal Guards was far too short. I, myself, and now in service to my Princess Luna, and am hopeful we can cross paths one day very soon.
I write you, as I have need to inform Mrs. Silhouette that the news she asked me to deliver has been passed along to her love. I cannot express how happy Zed was, and am glad I was trusted to handle the news to him myself. he misses her greatly, and shall look forward to seeing her again, and arranging the ceremony. I tell you this, as I sensed that Miss Shield had harbored affections to you, but held them back, even sharing slightly with me about them sometime back. Despite how fate has changed since then, I shall hope you find your special somepony sometime too. A Guardian does need someone to love, you know!
My other reason is more as a personal favor to ask. I have been informed that there are reports of a Pony, said to be made from the Icy crystals of the frozen Plains of the North, outside the Crystal Empire's borders. As I am unable to investigate this myself, I humbly ask you, or your team members, to ask his name. I have a brother with similar markings, and am curious if it is he. I have a motivation behind this, but I cannot share with you as of now. Rest assured, you may find him very interesting yourself, should he prove willing to help you!
Lastly, there was a report of strange creatures, bird-like, and numerous in the midlands. I wish to warn you, as they seem harmless at a distance, but are capable or strong attacks, and not easily defeated. They also fake their defeat, and will run should you think they are dead. I warn you, as you are said to have Ponies fighting threats in the area, and I wish that they know what they could be up against. Some have called them "Rappys" or other similar names.
I shall never forget you, Captain Wonder. You were the first outsider I had met that talked to me with respect, and though now I am considered my own Dragon, I am humbled to recall a time when I was a mere scared colt, missing my Sister. Please find this letter well, and May the Night Watch over Thee.

Blitzen finished the letter and placed his seal over the scroll to send it. His first break from training had started that night, and there was a filly waiting for him in downtown Canterlot. He adjusted the emblems in his dress uniform, and made way to see her again. Not much had changed, other than she was missing the Kirin and was off of school again. They had set the date in Canterlot, and finally, he was prepared to see her again. He looked into the night's sky, and thanked his Princess, then made his way to see his Sweetie once again...
