Celestia decided to have a her own Pokémon journey in Sinnoh
Princess Celestia, one of the rulers of Equestria and she has been that for over three thousand years, she even ruled for one thousand years alone. One thing she never had and that’s a vacation but after seeing her sister in the Hoenn league, she decided to have her own vacation/journey in the human world, her own Pokémon vacation/journey.
This story takes place at the same time as Luna's journey in Kalos, you don't have to read Luna's story to read this, Celestia's story is it's own story. Did that make any sense at all? There might be some spoilers for Luna's story.
It was your typical normal day in Sandgem town in the Sinnoh region, the people who was living there was busy with their day life and the Pokémon living there was playing in the sun. Driving alone the road was a taxi and inside the car sat a woman with a colorful hair, the taxi stop right in front of professor Rowan lab, the woman paid the drive and then she step out of the car. She was wearing a pair of purple pats, a white shite with a yellow jacket. The woman had a backpack with her which she placed on her back.
“So, this is professor Rowan lab.” She paid the taxi drive, she then walk to the gate and open it. “I thought that someone would meet me here, they should know I’m coming,” She said to herself as she walk up the house.
Once at the door she knock on it, she didn’t have to wait long before someone open the door. It was a man with blue hair, and he was wearing a lab coat. “Yes, can I help you?” He sounded confuse.
“My name is Celestia Sun and I’m her to see Rowan, he’s expecting me.” Celestia asked the man.
The blue hair man was still confused. “Professor Rowan isn’t here at the moment, my name is Yuzo and I’m one of his assistant. Did you say that the professor is expecting you?” Celestia nodded her head. “He hasn’t mention that to me.” Said Yuzo while scratching his head.
Celestia let out a tiering sighed. “Look, I have been one a boat for over twenty four hours and two hour with taxi because no one meet me at the harbor, can I please come inn?”
Then it dawn on Yuzo. “Your that Celestia, the one professor Birch mention, right?” Celestia nodded her head, again. Then Yuzo bowed. “I’m so sorry, professor Rowan mention that you would come today and one of us were supposed to meet you at the docks, but we got caught up in work, I’m truly sorry.” He was about to go down on his knees.
Celestia couldn’t be mad at him, she has been caught up in her own work several times and it ruined her friends with her sister, she was lucky that Luna forgave her, and they are now sisters again.
“It’s okay, I have buried myself work to so I know how it is. Is possible I can wait for professor Rowan inside?”
Yuzo stood up. “Of course, right this way.” He step aside so Celestia could walk inn.
The first thing Celestia saw was a lot of machines, it was like Birch lab. “Professor Rowan has a lot of machines around.” She saw another woman sitting by a computer.
“That’s because we study Pokémon evolution in this lab.” Said Yuzo as he walk up beside her.
Pokémon evolution, Celestia has seen three of her sister Pokémon evolve and she still don’t understand how. She saw a Shelgon evolve and grow into a dragon, Salamence which was twice as large as Shelgon. She might not understand it but she thinks it pretty cool, which she would never say out loud. Celestia then saw three Pokémon siting on table, one was red chimp, the second one was a blue penguin and the last one was standing on four leg, was green and had a leaf on its head.
“Are those…?” Celestia asked Yuzo as she pointed at the three Pokémon.
“if you mean three started Pokémon that trainers can chose from in Sinnoh? Then yes.” Yuzo said with a smile.
Celestia just wanted to go and hug all three of them, they were just so cute. Now she wanted to know when Rowan arrived so she could choose one.
Celestia needed something ells to think about. “When will professor Rowan be back?” She asked Yuzo.
“I’m already here.” Said a new voice that scared Celestia and Yuzo.
Celestia turned around and standing behind her was an elderly man with grey beard, he was wearing a brown jacket. “Professor Rowan?”
The man nodded. “Yes, that’s me and I’m guessing your Celestia?”
Celestia gave him a nod. “That’s right,” She held out a hand. “it’s nice to meet you.”
He happily shook her hand. “Yes, I heard from professor Birch that you want to travel Sinnoh and challenge the league. Is that right?”
“Yes, after watching my sister battling in Hoenn I decided to try it myself.”
Rowan smiled when he heard that. “That’s good to hear, everyone should try to be a trainer regardless of age. Now, it’s time for you to choose your started Pokémon.” He then walk to the table where the three Pokémon was, Celestia followed him. “Here are the three Pokémon trainers can pick from they start their journey. First of we have Chimchar, then Piplup and Turtwig.” Rowan told Celestia while showing them off.
All three of them presented themselves to Celestia when Rowan said their names, Chimchar started to jump up in the air, Piplup just puffed out its chest and Turtwig just gave her a smile. Celestia had a hard time to pick one, they were all so cute and charming.
Then she got an idea. “Professor, is possible I can you the Pokédex to help me chose one, I’m having a hard time do it myself.”
Rowan nodded. “Of course. Yuzo, why don’t you go and find Celesta’s Pokédex.”
“Right away.” Yuzo walk over to a desk and open a draw, he then took out a red device which Celestia knew was the Pokédex. Yuzo then handed it to Celestia. “Here you go, all you have to is to point it at the Pokémon and the information will appeared.”
Celestia took the dex and then she pointed at Chimchar first.
Chimchar the chimp Pokémon. It agilely scales cliffs to live atop mountains. Its fire is put out when it sleeps.
Celestia was just amazed by it, a so small decided could contain so much information and it talk. She then pointed at the next one.
Piplup the penguin Pokémon. Because it is very proud, it hates accepting food from people. Its thick down guards it from cold.
And then the last one.
Turtwig the tiny leaf Pokémon. Made from soil, the shell on its back hardens when it drinks water. It lives along lakes.
They all sounded like a good choice for Celestia but she could only pick one which she thought suck, she had made up her mind. “For my first Pokémon I’m going with Chimchar.” That made the chimp Pokémon to jump up and down with joy, it look like Piplup had been slap in the face and Turtwig, it look like he didn’t care at all, he just want back to his food.
The Rowan spoke. “Excellence choice.” He then gave Celestia a red and white ball. “This is Chimchar’s Pokéball,” Celestia took it. “why don’t you try and return Chimchar back to its Pokéball.”
Celestia pointed the ball at Chimchar. “Alright, return.” Then a red beam shot out of the ball and hit Chimchar, then he disappeared into the ball. Celestia was just marveled by the whole thing, she wanted to know how it all works but something told her that she would not understand anything.
Then Rowan handed her five more Pokéball’s. “These are your Pokéball’s which you can catch more Pokémon with.” Celestia took them all and placed them in her pocket for now. “If you run out you have to buy more of them.”
Celestia nodded in understanding, she was just glad she got some money from professor Birch for her journey. “I don’t mean to cut this meeting short but I really want to get this journey on the way before it’s gets dark.”
“I understand, a trainer is always on the go.” Then the phone rang. “Who could that be?” He asked as the female assistant got up to answer it.
After some talking. “Celestia, it’s for you.” That surprised her, who could call her?
It all dawn on Celestia as she walk over to the phone, there was only one person/pony who could call her. She saw it on the screen, it was Luna. Celestia took the phone and gave her sister a smile. “Hello Luna, what can I do for you?” She asked her little sister.
“Oh nothing, I just wonder if you have started your journey yet.” Said the younger ruler.
“As a matter of fact, I have just received my beginner Pokémon.” Celestia then took out Chimchar’s Pokéball to let him out, the chimp Pokémon came out and Celestia lift him up so she could show him to Luna. “Chimchar, say hello to my little sister Luna. Luna, this is Chimchar.”
“Chim chim.” Said Chimchar while waving his arms.
“That’s just adorable.” Luna then took out her Pokédex, she hope she could read the data. “Let’s see here… you got to be kidding me.”
Celestia and Chimchar was just confused. “Is something wrong Luna?” She asked her sister.
“Yes, there is.” Luna then took out a Pokéball, she then let out a Pokémon, she then disappeared for a moment and she was holding a Pokémon that look like yellow fox. “Your Chimchar is a fire type, my Fennekin is a fire type, we can’t both choose a fire type.” She said with some frustration.
Celestia was confused, again. Then she took out her own dex and pointed at Fennekin in hope she could see the data, it work.
Fennekin the fox Pokémon. Eating a twig fills it with energy, and its roomy ears give vent to air hotter than 390 degrees Fahrenheit.
Celestia could see that Fennekin was a fire type and she didn’t understand why Luna was upset. “So, you expect me to choose a grass type so you would have the advance in a battle, correct?”
Luna nodded. “Yes.”
Celestia just gave her sister a deadpan look. “I’m going to hang up now and why don’t you call me back when you have grown up.” Before Luna could say anything she hang up. “Sometimes I wonder if she is my sister or not.” She then saw that Chimchar had a worried look on him. “Don’t worry Chimchar, tomorrow my sister is back to normal, I hope.”
“Is everything okay?” Asked Rowan as he approached Celestia.
“Yes, it’s just Luna being Luna, nothing to worried about.” Celestia said with a smile.
Rowan crossed his arms. “If you say so.”
Celestia then step away from the phone and then called back Chimchar back to his ball. “Now, if you will excuse me, I’m going to being my journey.”
Rowan nodded. “Good, the first gym is in Oreburgh city and on the way you have to travel through Jubilife city, it will take you a few days to get there so I suggest you try and catch some Pokémon on the way.” He told Celestia.
“I will and thanks professor.” She held out a hand and Rowan gladly shook it. “It was a pleasure meting you.”
Rowan smiled. “The pleasure is all mine.” With that, Celestia headed for the door.
Once Celestia was outside the lab, she took one last look at it before she headed for Jubilife city and little did she know her Pokémon journey had just started.
Celestia was on her way to Jubilife City and she was now walking through a forest which many Pokémon lived in, she could see one that was walking on four legs and had a big tooth, she had to know that it was so she took out her dex.
Bidoof the plump mouse Pokémon. It constantly gnaws on logs and rocks to whittle down its front teeth. It nests alongside water.
Celestia wasn’t sure if this was the first Pokémon she wanted to catch, why does this sounds so weird? Then Celestia saw a Pokémon hanging from a tree branch, she decided to see the data on that one too.
Burmy the bagworm Pokémon. To shelter itself from cold, wintry winds, it covers itself with a cloak made of twigs and leaves.
Celestia was amazed by how resourceful this Burmy was but it still didn’t feel like this was the first Pokémon she should catch. Then all of sudden something flew over Celestia and landed not far from her, it was a flying Pokémon. The Pokémon stated to poke its peak on the ground, probably looking for food.
This one was very tiny, it was yellow on the stomach then black, it wings was blue and for some reason Celestia thought she had seen this one before, she didn’t know why.
She pointed her dex at this new Pokémon.
Rookidee the tiny bird Pokémon. It will bravely challenge any opponent, no matter how powerful. This Pokémon benefits from every battle, even a defeat increases its strength a bit.
Whatever the reason was, this one felt right. “Alright, time to catch my first Pokémon.” She told herself as she put away her dex and took out Chimchar’s Pokéball, she then threw it and the chimp Pokémon came out. “Let’s us catch Rookidee, use scratch.” Chimchar ran towards Rookidee who had no idea what was going on, Chimchar scratched the tiny bird Pokémon which made him mad, he was interrupted.
Rookidee flew up in the air and he started to glow? Celestia had no idea what the Pokémon was doing, then Rookidee’s peak started to glow and then he flew towards Chimchar. “Dodge it.” Chimchar managed to jump up in the air to avoid the attack but Rookidee turned around pretty fast and managed to hit Chimchar while he was in the air, the chimp Pokémon landed on the ground hard.
Celestia could see that Chimchar was hurt considering he had some trouble getting up but he managed it, then they saw Rookidee flew towards Chimchar and its beak was still glowing and that gave Celestia an idea, it was risky but it could work. “Just stand there.” Cimchar became a little worried when he heard but he trusted his trainer, he stood his ground. Rookidee came closer and closer until… “Jump and use ember.” Chimchar jump up in the and then he attack with fire from its mouth which hit Rookidee right in the back, the tiny bird Pokémon landed on the ground face first.
When Celestia saw Rookidee landed on the ground she took out a Pokéball, got it ready and threw it on Rookidee who disappeared into the ball, then the ball wiggled three times and then came a click. It took a few seconds before Celestia realized what just happened, she went over to the Pokéball and pick it up. “Did I do it?” She asked no one in particular, she then open the ball and out came Rookidee who appeared on the ground. Rookidee was very confused right now and hurt so Celestia took of her backpack and took out a potion from it, she then spray it on Rookidee who started to flap it’s wings.
“Stop moving Rookidee, I know it’s hurt but it will help.” The tiny bird Pokémon had to listen, the pain was too much. It didn’t take long before Celestia was done. “There, that should do it.” Celestia was glad she read about how potion work. Rookidee tried to flap it’s wings, they were a little stiff but he could fly, he thought. Rookidee then look up at the human that a caught him, she gave him a smile with made him relax, he could trust this human. Rookidee then flew up and landed on Celestia’s head.
Celestia was about to say something but someone ells beat her to it. “Ah, isn’t this sweet, it make we want to vomit.”
Celestia and her Pokémon look in the direction of the voice and they saw a girl with red and yellow hair who was wearing a black jacket, Chimchar and Rookidee had no idea who this human was but Celestia knew. “Sunset Shimmer.” Celestia was a little surprised to see Luna’s rival in Sinnoh. “What do you want?” Celestia asked with some venom in her voice, she wasn’t happy to see her, it also look like she was coming from Birch’s lab.
“I am on my way to Oreburgh City so I can get my first badge her in Sinnoh then I’m heading to the Pokémon league to win the whole thing.” Said Sunset with confidence and arrogance.
Sunset pointed a finger at Celestia. “That was a fluke, nothing more. If I see her again I will crush her.” She said while making a fist.
Celestia couldn’t help but roll her eyes of what Sunset said. “If you say so.” Celestia then got up and started to walk, Chimchar followed her.
Sunset didn’t like that Celestia turned her back to her. “Hey.” That made Celestia stop. “Don’t you dear turn you back at me.”
Celestia turned to face Sunset. “What? If you expect me battle you then forget it, I just started and you would probably crush me.”
Sunset sneered at her. “As fun as that sounds, I’m not going to challenge you to a battle.” Celestia was relieved when she heard that, she didn’t want her first battle to be against Sunset, she would lose. “I just don’t want you to beat me to the next town, so get out of my way.” Sunset then started to walk and Celestia step aside.
After Sunset had left, Celestia found a river and she decide to fill up one of her water bottle. “I can’t believe it, of all the placed in this world Sunset had to come to Sinnoh, unbelievable. This journey is official ruined.” Right about now, Celestia thought about quitting. Rookidee looked over to Chimchar if he knew why their trainer was in a bad mood, the chimp Pokémon had no idea.
After filling her bottle, Celestia sat down in the grass. “No, I will not let Sunset ruined my journey, I chose this place and I am going to finished it.” She look up at the sky. “This is my first vacation in ages and I am going to enjoy it.” She smiled and was about to get up when she and her Pokémon heard some noise in a bush not far from them, then a Pokémon Celestia hadn’t seen before came out from it.
The Pokémon was very small, probably at same high as Chimchar and Rookidee, it was green and it look like it had some kind of seed on its head. Celestia took out her dex to see the data.
Budew the bud Pokémon. Over the winter, it closes its bud and endures the cold. In spring, the bud opens and releases pollen.
“Budew, it says that it’s a grass and poison.” Said Celestia as she look at the data, then she smiled. “I’m going to catch it.” She look over to Rookidee. “Want to try?” The tiny bird Pokémon just smile as he took to the air and flew towards Budew who about to drink some water from the river. “Use peck.” Rookidee beak started to glow and he flew towards Budew who look in the direction of the voice, bud Pokémon didn’t see the attack and weas hit. Budew flew backwards.
Budew managed to get up pretty fast and then it fired some seeds from its head, they headed towards Rookidee. “Doge it and use hone claws.” Rookidee just flap it’s wings and avoided the attack, then he started to glow for a second. “Now use peck again.” His beak glowed again as he flew towards Budew who fired away more seeds. “Doge them.” Rookidee flew around them and hit Budew again and this time it was hard enough to knock it out. “Go Pokéball.” Celestia threw a ball which hit Budew and it disappeared into the ball, it wiggled a few times and then the klick came, Celestia had caught herself a Budew.
Celestia walk over to the ball and picked it up. “Sunset is not going to ruined this.” She put away the ball, she and her Pokémon headed towards Jubilife City.
Night was very near and Celestia decided to set up camp near a lake, her Pokémon was eating the food she had brought with her and she was sitting near the tent watching them eat. Celestia reflect over her first day as a trainer and it was different then she imagen, she never thought that Sunset would chose this region which means she would probably face her in the Sinnoh league and that wouldn’t be easy, that’s for sure. Then there’s Luna, how would she react that Sunset was here? Celestia wasn’t sure how her sister would react.
Celestia placed her hand on the ground and loo up at the sky, the sky had reddish color and it was beautiful, she never managed to create something like this in Equestria, she couldn’t help but wonder how her brother handle the moon and sun alone.
Celestia then heard some movements in the forest behind her, she got up and got ready to act in case it was a wild Pokémon that might attack. “Damn this forest.” That was not a Pokémon but the voice of a female and it kind of sound familiar. “This is why I hate the nature, you never know what’s there. I’m more of a city girl.” Walking out of the forest was girl with blond hair wearing a light blue dress, it was Lumi Koude. She then started to brush of the dirt of her dress. “Now my outfit is ruined, I guess I have to buy a new one.” Lumi then look up and saw Celestia. “Hey, I found you.”
Right now, Celestia was speechless, surprised and confused at the same time. She didn’t expect to see Lumi in Sinnoh, then again, she think that Luna said that Lumi was from a city in Sinnoh. “Yes, you did.” Said Celestia when she could speak again. “You been looking for me, why?” That was a good question.
Lumi walk to her. “Yes, I was looking for you Celestia, I heard from professor Brown that you had started you journey in Sinnoh and I thought I should join you.”
Celestia was now more confused. “How did you know that? Then only one I told to this to other then the professor was my sister, Luna.”
Lumi decided to explain. “You see, I found out by pure luck. Yesterday I got the idea to call professor Brown and ask him if anyone was going on their first Pokémon journey in Sinnoh and he mention you, so I decided to tag along. I got on a train and headed to Sandgem town but when I arrived you had already left, I have been searching for you ever since.” That made sense.
Celestia wasn’t sure what to say, she didn’t expect this to happened and she wasn’t sure if she wanted Lumi to come alone, then again, she could use a guide consider ding she had no idea where to go, her plan was to ask people where she should go. She didn’t bring a map.
“I don’t mind but why do you want to come alone? You want to take on the Sinnoh league?”
Lumi smiled. “That’s right, I ran away last time and now I am going to face it.” Lumi drop her backpack and she notice something. “I think you overfeed your Pokémon.” She then notice Rookidee. “I haven’t seen that one before.” She took out her dex to see the data. “Rookidee? Cool.”
Celestia had no idea what she was talking about but when she look at them, Budew and Rookidee was lying on the ground with their stomach full, Chimchar was sitting on the ground patting his stomach.
“Oh no, I overfeed them.” Said Celestia with some panic in her voice.
“I wouldn’t worry too much, it’s not like you killed them.” Lumi assured her, it help, some. “Hey, here’s an idea, want to have a Pokémon battle?” Celestia was surprised by that suggestion. It would have been great to have some experience but she wasn’t sure, Lumi has experiences but she hasn’t. Lumi saw that Celestia hesitated. “I know that came out of the blue but you gotta have some battle experience or you can’t compete in league,” She had a point. “and I promise I will go easy on you.”
Celestia got a look on her face that said determination. “Alright, let’s battle.” That made Lumi smile. “You’re not going to use one of your stronger Pokémon, are you?” Celestia asked her.
“Heck no, I have one that should be a match for you.”
They decided to have the battle away from the camp, they didn’t want to destroy it. Celestia used Chimchar while Lumi… “Come on out Snorunt.” She threw a Pokéball and out came a Pokémon that look like triangle with a face, feet’s and small hands.
Celestia took out her dex to see what kind of Pokémon it was.
Snorunt the snow hat Pokémon. In some snowy lands, certain folklore says a house will prosper if a Snorunt lives there.
Celestia saw the Snorunt is an ice type, she remember Luna telling that Lumi like ice types best. Celestia didn’t know why Lumi chose Snorunt, was she given a handicap? She could wonder about that later, Celestia put away the dex and got ready.
“Chimchar, use ember.” The chimp Pokémon fire away fire from its mouth.
“Use power snow.” Snorunt attack with ‘snow’ from its mouth which canceled Chimchar’s attack. “Use headbutt.” Then snow hat Pokémon rocket towards Chimchar who was caught off guard by the speed, he was knock back.
Celeista saw the speed that Snorunt had and started to wonder if it was faster and stronger than Chimchar. “Use another ember.” Chimchar got up and jump in the air and fire away fireballs.
“Use double team.”
Then there was many Snorunt and the attack hit an illusion, not the real one. When Chimchar landed he was surrounded by many Snorunt and he had no idea which one was the real one, Chimchar started to panic.
“Calm down Chimchar, panicking doesn’t help.” Easy for her to say, she wasn’t the one who was battling.
Celestia didn’t know what do to, Chimchar only knew two attacks and that was ember and scratch, she couldn’t do much with those attacks.
While Celestia was thinking. Lumi decided to attack. “Use power snow.” Then all of the Snorunt’s attack with snow and Chimchar had no way to go.
Celesta’s mind went blank when she saw the attack. “CHIMCHAR.” Then the chimp Pokémon jump into the air and then he dig himself a hole, which made the attack miss.
Lumi didn’t expect that to happened. “You gotta be kidding me, Chimchar just learned dig.” She said while all the Snorunt’s disappeared and the original was left.
Celestia had no idea how Chimchar learn dig but right now, she didn’t care. “Attack.” Right after she said that, Chimchar appeared right under Snorunt, launching the snow hat Pokémon up in the air. “Use ember.” Chimchar fired away fireballs and this time Snorunt couldn’t dodge the attack, he was hit and landed on the ground with stars in his eyes.
After the battle, Lumi threat Snorunt and she had pitched the tent she had brought with her. “I can’t believe I lost.” Said Lumi as she sat in front of her tent looking at the bonfire.
“You know you can’t win every time, right?” Celestia told her.
“I know that.” Lumi said with some frustration, she then look at Celestia. “How can you be so humble? You didn’t cheer or anything after you won.”
“Of course I’m happy that I won but I don’t brag about it, I’m not that kind of person.” Celestia almost said pony instead of person.
Lumi let out a sighed. “That’s good to know. So, how was your first day in Sinnoh.”
Celestia had to think for a moment. “It was good, until I ran into Sunset Shimmer.”
Lumi smiled. “That’s good, one should always…” Then her smiled disappeared. “Wait, did you just said Sunset Shimmer?" Celestia nodded. “You mean that bitch is in Sinnoh?”
Celestia didn’t like that Lumi cursed. “I wouldn’t call her a bitch but yes, I ran into her after I had left professor Brown’s lab.”
Lumi’s eyes started to twitch. “Off all the region to choose from she had to come her.” Lumi placed her head on her knees. “That’s just great.”
Celestia could hear that she was frustrated. “Did something happened between you and Sunset?”
“You can say that.” She placed her hands on the ground behind her and look up at the sky. “I meet her on one of the island in Hoenn, I can’t remember which one. Anyway, she started to talk about how she was going to win the league like that.” She then snap her finger. “I decided to challenge her to a battle, I just want to shut her up, she beat me without breaking a sweat.” She let out a groan. “I really hate her.” Celestia had no idea what Lumi was felling, she hadn’t battle Sunset yet but she knew one thing, Sunset was a terrible loser. “Hey, why did decide to come to Sinnoh?”
That question too Celestia off guard, she didn’t expect Lumi to ask that question, not now anyway. “I don’t have any special reason, I read about all the region and Sinnoh intrigued me the most.”
That made Lumi smile. “Hey, it’s pretty special. Did you know…” Before Lumi could continue they saw light coming from the lake, they saw Pokémon that look like giant bugs flying over the water and they were glowing. “Look at that, Illumise and Volbeat.”
Celestia had no idea who those Pokémon was so she took out her dex to see what they were, she pointed at the one that was light blue and purple.
Illumise the firefly Pokémon. With its sweet aroma, it guides Volbeat to draw signs with light in the night sky.
Then the other one which was grey and red.
Volbeat the firefly Pokémon. It communicates with others by lighting up its rear at night. It loves Illunise’s sweet aroma.
Then they started to dance on the lake which Celestia couldn’t help but marvel. “It’s beautiful.” She said with awe in her voice.
Lumi just watch. “It’s sure is.” She then decided to continue where she left off. “Did you know that this lake, which is called Verity, lives a Pokémon called Azelf.”
“A Pokémon lives here?”
Lumi nodded. “Yeap, Azelf is one of three lake guardians, the other are Uxie and Mesprit. It’s says that they have the power to calm down Dialga and Palkia.”
“I remember reading about that before I came here, those two have the power over space and time.” Celestia was actually scared when she first read that, two Pokémon that could control space and time, it’s horrified. “I can’t imagine what would happened if someone got control over that power.”
“Well, that almost happened once.” Celestia’s heart stop when she heard that. “Around eight year ago an organization called team Galactic managed to summon Dialga and Palkia, their leader wanted to create his own new world or something like that.” Lumi then notice that Celestia was terrified, which was not often. “Don’t worry, their plan was stop by the lake guardians and some humans which I don’t remember who was, I was around eleven years back then, I don’t remember much of it but remember the sky becoming wired. “She then scratch her head. “I can’t remember the color of the sky.”
Celestia did not want to talk about Dialga and palkia anymore, they were terrifying. “What about Uxie and Mesprit? Where do they live?” She asked Lumi.
“Well, lake Valor is somewhere between Veilston and Pastoria city, that’s were Azelf lives. When it comes to lake Acuity, that one is near my hometown, Snowpoint, that’s were Uxie lives. And here’s a fun fact, both lakes form a triangle around Sinnoh.”
Celestia was impressed by Lumi’s knowledge. “Wow, you know a lot when it comes to Sinnoh.”
“When you are born in Sinnoh is only natural to know about it.” Celestia had to agree with that. Then Lumi let out a yawn. “I think I’m going to bed, talk to tomorrow.” She then headed into her tent and closed it.
Celestia sat up a little long watching the stars before she became to tired to stay up, she decided to get some sleep.
While the two woman was sleeping, a mystic figure appeared above the lake. The figure look around a little before flying up into the night.
After a good night sleep if you could call it that, it was pleasant for Celestia, she had never sleep in in a sleeping bag before so it took a few hours before she fell asleep.
As Celestia and Lumi was walking through the forest, the pony princess let out a yawn. “Trouble sleeping last night?” Lumi asked her.
Celestia just nodded. “Yes, I have never sleep in a sleeping bag before, I’m just to nice and warm, comfortable bed.”
Lumi just giggle. “I know how you fell, I had trouble sleeping when I first started my journey but I one get just to it.”
Celestia hope that she was right, she didn’t want more sleepless nights. “How long will it takes us to get to Jubilife city?” She asked Lumi.
The girl from Snowpoint had to think for a moment. “Around three to four days, when it comes to Oreburgh, around a week, maybe more.”
Celestia wasn’t thrilled when she heard that it would take over a week to get to Oreburgh, which means that Luna would probably get her first badge before her. It didn’t matter for Celestia but still.
Then someone spoke. “Hold it right there.” Out of the forest step out a boy who was wearing a pair of blue short, a green t shirt, he have a green hat and was holding a net in his hand, he also had a lunch boxes strapped on him. “If you two want to go any further then you have to beat me in a Pokémon battle.” He told them as he block the road.
Celestia had no idea who this boy was but Lumi know. “Great, a bug catcher, I was hoping to avoid them.” Lumi said with annoyance in her voice. Celestia didn’t like the words bug catcher, she hates bugs. “Do you want to battle him?” Lumi asked Celestia but then she notice the elderly woman was shaking. “Celestia?” She was afraid.
The bug catcher was getting impatient. “Well, who is going to battle.”
Lumi started to get annoyed. “Alright, keep your pants on, I will be battling you.” She said while stepping forward.
The bug catcher held out a Pokéball. “We are going to use two Pokémon.”
Lumi took out her own ball. “I only need one.” She told him in a calm voice.
The catcher didn’t like Lumi attitude. “I’ll show you, come out Wurmple.” The catcher threw the ball and out came a bug that was light red and he spikes on its head and back.
Celestia didn’t like bugs but she still wanted to see the data on Wurmple.
Wurmple the worm Pokémon. It loves to eat leaves. If it is attacked by a Starly, it will defend itself with its spikes rear.
Celestia was a little impressed.
Then it was Lumi turn. “Let’s do this Vulpix.” Out came a red fox with six tails which Celestia thought was adorable, she pointed at the dex at Vulpix.
Vulpix the fox Pokémon. It controls balls of fire. As it grows, its six tails split from their tips to make more tails.
Now that was impressed.
The catcher didn’t like that Lumi had a Vulpix but he wasn’t about just give up. “Wurmple, use string shot.” Wurmple shot out string from its mouth.
“Vulpix, use ember.” The fox Pokémon fired away a fireball which canceled the attack, the fireball keep on and eventually hit Wurmple right in the head, the worm Pokémon was out. “Well, that was easy.” Even Celestia thought it was easy.
The catcher just called back Wurmple. “Damn it, that was not supposed to happened.” He but away the ball and took out a new one, he then threw it. “You’re up next Kricketot.” Out came a Pokémon that was standing on two legs, it look like was wearing a white shirt, it had a two black antennae’s on its head. Celestia look at the data.
Kricketot the cricket Pokémon. It chats with others using the sounds of its colliding antennae. These sounds are the hallmarks of fall evenings.
“it’s use sounds? Huh.” Celestia mumbled to herself.
“Use bug bit.” Kricketot’s teeth’s started to glow as it flew towards Vulpix.
“Just use another ember.” Vulpix attack and it hit Kricketot right in the face who landed on the ground unconscious. “There, I beat you. Do us a favor and get lost.” The catcher called back Kricketot and disappeared into the forest, swearing his revenge. “Good, I hate bug catchers.” Lumi then look over at Celestia who had calm down. “You okay?” She asked the elderly woman.
Celestia gave her a nod. “Yes, I’m not the biggest fan of bugs.”
Lumi just smiled. “Yeah, most girls aren’t a big fan of them. But, what about Illumise and Volbeat? They are bug Pokémon but didn’t get scared last night. Why?”
“That was a different, I like their dance that I didn’t care that they were bug.” Then Celestia look at Vulpix. “I’m surprised that you have a fire type, I thought you only like ice Pokémon.
Lumi called back Vulpix. “I do like ice Pokémon but that doesn’t mean I hate fire types.” She then put away her Pokéball. “Why don’t get going and head for Jubilife city? Celestia like that idea, she wanted to get away from this forest.
After three days in the forest, Celestia and Lumi had finally arrived in the city.
“Welcome to Jubilife city, the largest city in Sinnoh.” Said Lumi as she and Celestia walk into the city. “The home to the trainer school where young people can learn about Pokémon battling. There’s a tv station here, then there’s the Pokétch company where one can get a Pokétch.”
Celestia wasn’t sure if she wanted to visit those placed but she had to admit, it was a big place. She could see humans and Pokémon living together, playing together, she couldn’t help but smile. Then she saw the budlings and they had to be at least thirty floors high, maybe even bigger, the budlings in Manehattan isn’t that big.
Celestia was brought out of the thoughts by Lumi. “Earth to Celestia, hello?” She then waved a hand in front of Celestia which made her blink a few times. “You okay? You space out there for a moment.”
Celestia shock her head. “Yes, I’m fine. I was just fascinated by the budlings here.”
Lumi scratch her head, she wasn’t sure why Celestia was fascinated by them, they weren’t that special. “If you say so, I was asking if you want to head to the Pokémon center, I want to heal me Pokémon.” Celestia thought that was a good idea so they headed there.
Celestia and Lumi had to walk past the local park and there they notice a big crowed.
“What’s going on?” Asked Celestia.
“There’s only one reason there’s such a big crowed, there’s a Pokémon battle going one.” Lumi look at the older woman. “Let’s see who’s battling.” Celestia agreed, she wanted to see who was battling.
Both of them managed squeeze through the big crowed so they could see who the trainers was, they weren’t too happy when they saw that Sunset was one of them but when they saw her opponent, one can say that Lumi wasn’t too happy now.
“Oh great, this Paul.” Lumi’s cheerfulness was replaced by annoyance.
Celestia had no idea who that Paul character was, all she could see a male human who was probably as old as Lumi. Paul was wearing a pair of black pants, he had a black/purple jacket and a green shirt, his hair was light brown.
Both trainers was using one Pokémon at the moment and Celestia could see that Sunset was sweating, she also could see the panic in her eyes, Sunset was losing.
Sunset was currently using her Shiftry and it look hurt and it was breathing heavily, Paul was using a Pokémon Celestia hadn’t seen before. This Pokémon was purple, big and had a horn on its head. Celestia took out her dex to see the data.
Nidoking the drill Pokémon. One swing of its mighty tail can snap a telephone pole as if it were a matchstick.
Celestia was impressed by the power that Nidoking had and it terrified her to.
Then Paul decided to attack .”Use horn attack.” Nidoking charge towards Shiftry with its horn.
“Stop Nidoking with energy ball.” Shiftry tried to attack but was too late, Nidoking tackle the wicked Pokémon so hard that it landed on the ground unconscious. “Damn it.” Sunset called back Shiftry and was about to get ready her next Pokémon when Paul spoke.
“There’s no point in continuing, I have won so just give up.”
Everyone who was watching was in shock that Paul said that, he just told his opponent to give up. Lumi wasn’t surprised at all which Celestia was just like the rest, shocked.
To Paul shock, Sunset just smiled. “You would like that, would you? I have no intention to just give up, it’s not over until is over.” She screamed at him. she then threw her last Pokéball. “Ready for battle Fearow.” Out came the beak Pokémon.
Paul on the other hand didn’t show any emotion at all, he held out a Pokéball and called back Nidoking, then he got ready his next one. “Weavile, stand by for battle.” Out came a Pokémon that was black and had a red hat?
Celestia hadn’t seen that one before so she took out her dex.
Weavile the sharp claw Pokémon. They live in cold regions, forming groups of four or five that hunt prey with impressive coordination.
Then Lumi spoke. “Paul made a good choice,” Celestia look over at her. “Weavile is a good match up against Fearow.” Celestia could hear the annoyance in her voice, just what have Paul done?
Back to the battle, Sunset decided to make the first move. “Use drill peck.” Fearow flew up as its peak started to spin, then the bird flew towards Weavile.
“Stop Fearow by using blizzard.” Weavile open its mouth and it look like a small blizzard came out from it, Fearow was stop and then the beak Pokémon was frozen in ice. Sunset couldn’t believe what was happening, Paul haven’t lost one Pokémon and Sunset just lost her last one. “Use Dark pulse.” Weavile fired a black beam from its hands and the attack hit the ice which started to crack, then the ice cracked and Fearow was hit hard, so hard that it passed out. Paul called back Weavile and gave Sunset a disappointing look. “Pathetic.” He then turned around and started to walk, the crowed moved away.
Sunset fell to her knees and started to hit the ground. “Damn it.” She then look at Paul with anger in her eyes. “The next time we meet I will not lose.” She shout at Paul who didn’t care at all. “Do you hear me Paul, I WON’T LOSE.” Paul ignored her.
The walk to the Pokémon center was different, Lumi wasn’t her normal cheerful self and Celestia was a little down. After seeing the battle between Paul and Sunset, Celestia couldn’t help but wonder how those two were trainers, the way they acted was disgusting.
Celestia look over at Lumi who was looking down at the ground and she look angry. “Lumi, what did Paul do to make you hate him?” Celestia sked her.
Lumi didn’t answer right away. ”About six year ago I heard a rumor a trainer battle Roark’s Geodude with an Azumarill and lost,” Celestia didn’t know what kind of Pokémon Geodude was but she knew Azumarill, Luna has one. Then Lumi look over at Celestia. “do you know what that trainer did with that Azumarill?” Celestia didn’t know so she shook her head. “The trainer gave Azumarill away, just because it lost and that trainer was Paul.” Celestia was in utter shock when she heard what Paul did, a trainer don’t do that. “A few weeks later there was a tag team battle tournament in Hearthome city and Paul was competing.” Celestia dreaded to her what Lumi had to say ”In the tournament Paul was using a Chimchar, then in the second match I could see that Chimchar was hurt, really bad. I had no idea how but I guess that Paul tried to train Chimchar the night before the match and he didn’t let it rest.”
Celestia couldn’t believe what she was hearing and she believe Lumi, she had no reason to lie. “In my opinion, there’s two trainers. First we have trainers like us, how care about their Pokémon. Then we have trainers like Paul and Sunset, who only care about strong Pokémon and don’t care about their feelings, at all.”
Celestia couldn’t help but agree with Lumi, sure, she didn’t know how Paul really battle but she have seen Sunset battle and she really didn’t like it. One thing was for sure, she was never going to become a trainer like Sunset and she really hope that she never would have to battle Paul.
It was a new day in Sinnoh and the sun was shining, right through Celestia and right into her face. “Stupide sun.” She then turned her back to the sun so she could sleep more but it didn’t work, the sun had already woken her. Celestia sat up and let out a yawn while stretching her arm to the side. “I have been here four days and I don’t understand how the sun can move on its own.” She then got up from the bed. “Oh well, as long as I don’t have to move it, I’m not complaining.” She then decided to scratch her butt as she walk to the bathroom to take a shower. After the shower she got dressed and then decided to find a restaurant to have some breakfast.
Celestia didn’t see Lumi in the main room of the center, she was probably still sleeping, she decided not to wake her up, Celestia decided to have breakfast alone.
Celestia managed to find a restaurant not far from the Pokémon center, its name was the Bronze Dragon, she like the name. She order some salat and bread, with some water. After breakfast Celestia decided to head to the park, she wanted to see if there was someone who wanted to have a Pokémon battle with her, Celestia still felt like novice.
Once Celestia arrived at the park she look around to see if she could battle anyone but it look like no one was available, everyone was having fun battling. Then Celestia happened to look over at one of the benches and sitting there was a woman who look like she was the same age as herself, she had long blue hair and she was wearing a black business dress, the woman was looking at the people battling. Celestia couldn’t help but feel like she had seen this woman before, but where?
Celestia was so focus on the woman she didn’t notice a man walking towards her, he had a smug look on his face. “Hey sexy.” The man sleazy voice brought Celestia back.
The solar princess look to her left and saw a man who was probably a little older than herself, he was bald and he was wearing a black jacket, he was also wearing a pair of black pants with some holes in it. His grin was creeping Celestia out, she could see that he was missing a tooth.
“What’s a beautiful woman like you doing without a boyfriend?” He asked in sexy way, at least he tried.
Celestia had no idea if this was the way humans men hit on a woman but it was creeping her out, she just ignored him.
The man didn’t give up. “Why don’t we go somewhere ells and have a little fun.”
Celestia wasn’t sure what this man planning but she didn’t want any part of it. “No thanks, I’m looking for someone to battle, not a date.” She really hope he would leave her alone, she wasn’t that lucky.
The man’s smile didn’t disappear. “If there’s a Pokémon battle you want then I can give you one and if I win then you and I are going to have some fun together.”
Celestia had to hold down her vomit, she had no idea what was wrong this man. Celestia knew that ponies like this existed in Equestria but experience a human in the human world? It was disgusting. When it came to the battle, she want to have experience but if losing to this disgusting man meant she had to go out with him? That was not an option so she had to win.
“Alright, let’s battle.”
The man just smiled. “I knew you would. There’s an available field over there.” The man nodded his head towards the battlefield, they walk over there.
Both got ready but then Celestia notice that there was no judge there, she didn’t get the change to say something because the man got ready a Pokéball and threw it. “Go Geodude.” Out came a floating rock with eyes, mouth and arms. Celestia took out her dex.
Geodude the rock Pokémon. Many lives on mountain trails and remain half buried while keeping an eye on climbers.
Celestia saw that it was a rock/ground so she new which one she as going to use first, she took out a Pokéball and threw it. “Let’s do it Budew.” Out came the bud Pokémon, ready for battle.
The man wasn’t happy when he saw her choice but he wasn’t about change Pokémon already. “Use Rollout.” Geodude started to spin very fast, then the rock Pokémon headed towards Budew.
“Jump out of the way.” Budew did that and the attack missed but then something happened that took Celestia off guard, Geodude turned around and hit Budew in the back and the Pokémon landed on the ground hard. “You okay Budew.” The bud Pokémon managed to get up.
Celestia then saw that Geodude keep on spinning right in front of the man who was smiling. “Attack.” Geodude rolled forward.
“Use bullet seed.” Budew fired away seeds from it bud but Geodude just avoided the attack and hit Budew again, the bud Pokémon flew backwards. Celestia got worried, she did not want to lose. “Don’t give up Budew, get up.” Budew managed that but she was hurt.
Then the man decided to attack. “Keep on attacking Geodude.” The rock Pokémon rolled towards Budew.
Celestia had to do something and she got an idea. “Shot bulled seed in front of where Geodude is rolling.” Budew jump up and fired of seeds that hit right in front of the rock Pokémon who finally stop, he landed on the ground, so did Budew. “Use absorb.” Budew started to ‘take’ Geodude’s life and shew as healed while Geodude was out.
“Damn it.” The man called back Geodude and got ready his next Pokémon. “You’re up Machop.” Out came a little human looking Pokémon that look very tough, so Celestia decided to see the data.
Machop the superpower Pokémon. Its muscles never cramps however much it trains. It lives in the mountains away from humans.
Celestia was impressed by what she read and she saw that Machop was a fighting type, she knew what to do. Celestia called back Budew and decided to choose Rookidee.
The man had never seen Rookidee before but the Pokémon was a flying type, that was obvious. “Alright, use thunder punch.” Electricity started to appeared around Machop’s fist as the Pokémon ran towards it’s opponent.
“Fly up.” Rookidee flaps it’s wings and managed to fly up which made Machop to miss. Celestia was glad that work, she knew that electricity attacks was effective against flying types. “Time to attack, use peck.” Rookidee’s peck started to glow as the tiny bird Pokémon flew towards Machop who didn’t have the time to move, the superpower Pokémon was hurt.
The man didn’t like that. “Use another thunder punch.” Machop attack again with the same move and it was right after he was hit by Rookidee’s attack, so it hit and Rookidee took a lot of damage.
Celestia watch as Rookidee flew backwards a little and landed on the ground with pain. “Can you get up Rookidee?” The Pokémon tried to get up but it was difficult.
When the man saw that he just smiled. “Let’s finished this Machop, use thunder punch one more time.” Machop started to run while electricity form around it’s fist.
Celestia really didn’t want to lose. “Rookidee, get up.” Just as Machop was about to hit the tiny bird Pokémon, Rookidee managed to fly up avoiding the attack. Then Rookidee flap it’s wings and it look like it attack with blades that was made of air? The attack hit Machop hard. “What the…?” Celestia was clueless of what kind of attack it was so she look it up in her dex. “Air slash? Alright then, use another air slash.” Rookidee attack again and Machop was hit again so hard it passed out.
The man just crushed. “Fuck.” He called back Machop and got ready his last Pokémon. “It’s not over until the last Pokémon can’t battle anymore, go Poochyena.”
Out came a Pokémon that look like a small puppy and it was black. Celestia look at the data.
Poochyena the bite Pokémon. A Pokémon with a persistent nature, it chases its chosen prey until they becomes exhausted.
Celestia saw that Poochyena was a dark type and she didn’t have a Pokémon that could match it, then she notice that Rookidee was breathing heavily, he tired after battling Machop so she call the tiny bird Pokémon back and call out Chimchar.
The man made the first move. “Use bite.” Poochyena started to run.
“Use dig.” Chimchar dug a hole which made Poochyena to stop and look around, the bite Pokémon had no idea where Chimchar would appeared. Then it felt the ground move and Chimchar came up sending Poochyena flying. “Use ember.” Chimchar then fire flames from its mouth while in the air which struck Poochyena, the bite Pokémon landed on the ground unconscious.
The man look in disbelieve, he couldn’t believe that Celestia had beaten his Poovhyena this easy. The man look as Celestia called back Chimchar and started to walk towards the exit of the park, she wanted to get away this human as fast as possible.
As Celestia walk she saw the woman with blue hair, the woman gave her a smile as she walk, Celestia had no idea why.
Once Celestia was back at the Pokémon center she saw Lumi siting by a table eating some food, she walk over to her.
Lumi stop eating when she saw Celestia walking towards her. “Hey, where have you been? I tried to knock on your door when I woke up but you didn’t answer.”
Celestia stop by the table. “I woke up when the sun was up so I decided to get some breakfast at a restaurant and I forgot to invited you, I am sorry about that.”
Lumi just shrugged it off.” Don’t worry about it, I would probably not be the best eating companion that early. What did you do after that?”
Celestia was a little uneasy right now. “I went to the park to see if I could get some battle experience.” She stop speaking.
Lumi waited for her to continued. “And?”
Celestia let out a sighed. “I found a man that tried to ask me out if he won over me in a Pokémon battle.”
Lumi pinched her nose. “Please tell you won over this guy?” Celestia nodded her head. “Thank the lord, I can’t believe someone used Pokémon just to get a date.” Lumi wanted to throw up.
Celestia agreed with what she said, she didn’t mention the woman who she just remember look like Chrysalis, there had to be a human of her.
After leaving Jubilife city, Celestia and Lumi was heading for Oreburgh city which would take at least three days. At the moment they were walking through a forest which they had to get through to get to a lake so Celestia could try and catch herself a water Pokémon she could use against Roark.
“Are we there yet? I’m not comfortable walking through this forest.” Celestia didn’t mind but there was bug Pokémon in the forest, she don’t like bugs. Celestia could see two of the bugs that the bug catcher was using, then she saw one that was green, one that was yellow and had a needle on its head.
“We are close and keep your voice done, I don’t want to run into Beedrill, if provoke them they will attack.” Celestia had no idea what a Beedrill was but one thing was for sure, she didn’t want them to attack.
After some more walking they finally arrived at clearing and there Celestia could see a giant lake, Celestia could see some water Pokémon that look like fish jumping up from the water and into it again.
“Does this lake have a name?” Celestia asked Lumi.
Lumi had to think for a moment. “I’m not sure, I’m not familiar with this part of Sinnoh and…” Before she could say anything ells, they girls heard movement in some bushes not far from them, out of the bushes walk a blue Pokémon with finish on its back. “What the…? A Shellos?”
Celestia had never seen that Pokémon so she took out her dex.
Shellos the sea slug Pokémon. It lives along bodies of water. Its body shapes changed to suit its habitat.
“Fascinating, it can chance it’s body.” Celestia look at Lumi who was just staring at the Shellos who was heading to the lake. “Is there something wrong Lumi?”
Lumi crossed her arms. “You can say that, that Shellos shouldn’t look like that in this area of Sinnoh.” That just confused Celestia so Lumi decided to explain. “As the Pokédex said, a Shellos change its appearance depending on where it lives. A Shellos should have the color pink in the west, where we are now and the color blue in the east.” She then pointed at the blue Shellos who was drinking the from the water. “That Shellos should not be blue here in the west, it’s not possible.”
Celestia had no idea if Lumi told was the truth or not, maybe that was because she didn’t know that much about Pokémon. She look over at Shellos who was peacefully drinking from the lake, it didn’t look out of place to her.
Then all off sudden a water beam came out from the lake and struck Shellos on the chest, the little Pokémon was send flying and landed not far from the forest. Then three Pokémon came out from the lake which look like grown up version of Shellos, they landed not far from Shellos and they look angry.
Lumi got a worried look on her face when she saw the three new Pokémon. “That’s not good, Castrodon.” Celestia took out her dex and pointed at them.
Gastrodon the sea slug Pokémon and the evolved form of Shellos. It apparently had a hug shell for protection in ancient times. It lives in shallow tidal ponds.
The data didn’t give much but one thing was sure, they look tough. “Why are they angry?” She asked Lumi.
“If I have to guess, the lake is their territory and Shellos didn’t know that, they see Shellos as an intruder and they will attack it again.” Lumi explained.
Celestia couldn’t believe what she saw hearing, then the three Pokémon decided to attack with a water attack and it was aimed at Shellos who was lying in the grass, Shellos couldn’t move considering it was hurt.
Without think Celestia ran towards Shellos, scoop the Pokémon up in her arms and managed to make the three Castrodon attack to miss. The three Pokémon wasn’t happy that a human saved an intruder that had entered their territory.
Lumi saw everything and couldn’t believe that Celestia just did that, it was incredible brave and stupide at the same time. Then Lumi saw that the three Castrodon was about to attack Celestia, she decided to intervene. “Hey, Castrodon.” All three look over her. “Why don’t you pick on someone who can actually fight back.” She took out a Pokéball and got ready.
All three of them was now focus on Lumi and that was what she wanted. “Let’s teach them a lesson, go Torterra.” Lumi three the ball and out came a giant green Pokémon with a tree on its back. Then the three Gastrodon decided to attack Torterra but Lumi was ready. “Let’s send them back to the water, use leaf storm.” Leafs started to gather around Torterra’s back and then they became a tornado of leaf’s that struck the three Pokémon sending them back to the water, Lumi was satisfied with how it went. “They think they are tough but they aren’t.” She walk over patted Torterra on the head. “Thanks pall, I am glad you weren’t asleep.” Torterra gave her an annoyed look. “Don’t give me that look, you know that you like to sleep most of the time.” Then Torterra smiled, she was right.
Celestia had watch the whole thing and was amazed how strong Lumi’s Pokémon was, she had to see the data and managed to take out her dex while carrying Shellos in one of arms.
Torterra the continent Pokémon. Groups of this Pokémon migrating in search of water have been mistaken for ‘moving forests.’
The data didn’t say how strong it was but after seeing the attack, Celestia didn’t want to go up against Torterra.
Celestia walk towards Lumi and her Pokémon. “Thanks for the help.”
Lumi just smiled. “No problem, I have only one question, what were you think? You can’t just leap in front of Pokémon’s attacks like that, you could be hurt.” She scolded the older woman.
“I know but my legs moved on their own, I wasn’t going to let them hurt Shellos just because it was thirsty.”
Lumi couldn’t be ,ad at her, she had probably done the same. “You are more like your sister.” She said while rubbing her head. “Let’s find a placed to sett up camp so we can heal Shellos.” Celestia agreed with that idea.
Night had arrived and the girls had sett up camp not far from the main road, they didn’t want to have trouble finding it in the morning. They had sett up their tent and brough out food for Torterra and Shellos, they had healed the sea slug Pokémon first.
Celestia and Lumi was sitting by the fire they had made. “is this a normal day in a Pokémon trainers day? Rescuing Pokémon and putting their life on the line?” Celestia asked Lumi.
The younger trainer shrugged her shoulders. “Pretty much, but you don’t have complain about this day, you go yourself a water Pokémon.”
Celestia couldn’t argue with that, right after they had healed Shellos the Pokémon latterly snuggled up to her. Shellos remember that she save his life and that was enough to joined her. Celestia had her team to so she could try and beat Roark.
After Celestia had catch Shellos, she and Lumi was walking through the forest on their way to Oreburgh city but there was one problem, they were lost. It was almost night and they had been walking all day looking for the road, but no luck.
“We are lost, aren’t we?” Said Celestia as they stop for a break.
Lumi look around. “I don’t want to admit it but yes, let’s go with your idea and let Rookidee find the road.” She said while scratching her head.
Letting Rookidee find the main road was something Celestia suggested a while back when they were lost. “Finally.” Celestia took out Rookidee Pokéball and released the tiny bird Pokémon who hovered in front of its trainer. “Rookidee, can you please fly up and find the main road so we can get out of this forest?” Rookidee nodded and flew up and started to search. “Now we wait.”
It took a few minutes before Rookidee came back, he then started to lead the girls through the forest. It didn’t take them long before they arrived at a clearing in the forest and there was something that Celestia wasn’t too happy to see and that was bugs, they were flying but they look like bugs and there was many of them.
Celestia took out her dex to confirm. She pointed at the blue one with white wings.
Butterfree the butterfly Pokémon. It loves the nectar of flowers and can locate flower patches that have even tiny amounts of pollen.
Then one that was white with blue, red and yellow in the wings.
Beautifly the butterfly Pokémon. When flowers fields bloom, it flits around, collecting pollen. Despite its appearance, it is savage.
The last one was black and it’s wings was yellow and red.
Mothim the moth Pokémon. It does not keep a nest. It flies over fields and mountains in constant search of its much beloved nectar.
They were flying around the area and it look like they were playing. “Look at that, isn’t it cute. Right?” She look over at Celestia who was shaking. “Seriously Celestia, they are just Pokémon.”
Celestia knew but it didn’t help. “I know but they are still scary, can we just go already?”
Lumi couldn’t help but roll her eyes. “Fine, let’s go around them.” So they did.
Before they could find the main road, the night had arrived and the two trainers had set up camp and they were ready to go to bed when something weird happened, it started to snow.
Bot of them was puzzled by what was happening, Lumi was the first on to say something. “What is going on? It shouldn’t snow this far south.” The both look up and saw a giant moth fly over them, it was the Pokémon who was making it snow. “What’s that?” Said Lumi as she took out her dex, Celestia did it to.
Frosmoth the frost moth Pokémon. Icy scales fall from its wings like snow as it flies and mountains. The temperature of its wings is less than -290 degrees Fahrenheit.
Lumi smiled when she saw the data. “It’s a ice type, I am going to catch it.” She then ran after the Pokémon. Celestia just watch as she ran wondering why? She then ran after Lumi.
Both girls arrived the opening they saw the other bug Pokémon but they got a shock when they saw what was happening, the Frosmoth was attacking the other bug Pokémon with ice attack, mostly ice beam.
“Why is Frosmoth attacking the other bug Pokémon?” Celestia asked Lumi.
“It’s probably trying to invade on their territory.” Lumi then step forward with a Pokéball in her hand. “I will stop this by catching Frosmoth.” She then threw the ball. “Let’s do this Abomasnow.” Out came a giant white and green Pokémon.
Celestia remember Abomasnow from the Hoenn tournament but she have forgotten the data.
Abomasnow the frosted tree Pokémon. It whips up blizzards in mountains that are always buried in snow. It is that abominable snowman.
Lumi on the other hand, was ready to attack. “Let’s get Frosmoth, use razor leaf.” The frosted tree Pokémon fired leaf’s from its hands which hit Frosmoth, it didn’t do much damage but it was enough to get it attention. Frosmoth fired away a ice beam towards Lumi’s Pokémon. “Let’s use our own ice beam.” Abomasnow fired away a ice beam from it’s mouth and both beams collied with each other.
At first it look like look both attacks was equally strong but then Abomasnow beam started to push back and managed to overpower Frosmoth’s attack, the frost moth Pokémon was hit hard in the chest. “Alright, let’s use brick break.” Abomasnow’s hand started to glow as the giant Pokémon started to run towards the moth who was still dazzle from the last attack, the fist attack hit hard and Celestia was amazed by how fast Abomasnow was. “Use another brick break.” The frosted tree Pokémon attack again and it was enough to knock it out. “Go Pokéball.” Lumi threw the ball and it hit, Frosmoth disappeared into the ball and then the ball wiggled three time, then they heard a klick and Lumi had now a Frosmoth.
Lumi walk over with a smile on her face and pick up the ball. “And that’s how you catch a Pokémon.” She look over to giant Pokémon. “Nice work Abomasnow.” The frosted tree Pokémon just smiled.
Lumi and Abomasnow walk back to Celestia who had watch it all. “That was impressed Lumi, your Abomasnow is strong.”
Lumi just smiled. “Of course, I had him since I left Sinnoh four months ago.”
Both of the look back at the clearing and saw that the three different bug Pokémon was grateful that Lumi saved them from Frosmoth, the girls waved at them as they went back to their camp.
The next day Celestia and Lumi managed to find the main road and could continue their travel towards Oreburgh city.
Celestia and Lumi was close to Oreburgh city and Celestia’s first gym battle and the pony princess had to admit it, she was nervous which was weird. Nervous, that’s something Celestia usually isn’t but now she was. She have lived over three thousand years and nervous isn’t something she usually was.
Celestia look over to Lumi who look calm, she wanted to know how. “How are you doing that?” She asked the younger woman.
Lumi look over at Celestia with a confused look. “What do you mean?”
“How are you staying calm? Aren’t you nervous when it comes to the gym battle?”
Lumi shock her head. “Not really, I was very nervous the first time when I traveled in Hoenn. Hell, I lost against Roxanne when I battle her my first time, the first gym leader there and I had the advantage and all, but I still lost. But I got up and trained and then I won.” Everyone gets nervous, thought Celestia.
Then they finally arrived at Oreburgh city and it look like most of the city was carved into the mountain, while the rest look normal. While the girls walk through the city Celestia could see humans and Pokémon work together, they were mostly building buildings.
“They look pretty busy in the city.” Said Celestia.
Lumi just smiled. “Well, it’s called the city of energy and the energy they display are the proof.” She then became a little unsure. “At last that what I have read.” Celestia didn’t want to question her.
Celestia then decided to as Lumi something. “Where do you think my sister is in Kalos? I want to call her.”
“I have no idea, you can call professor Sycamore, he probably know where she is.” Celestia decided to do that.
Once they entered the Pokémon center, Celestia and Lumi gave their Pokémon to nurse Joy so she could heal them, after that Celestia asked for Sycamore number, she then walk over to the telephone and dialed the number.
It didn’t take long before someone answered. “Hello?” Celestia saw a man with back hair, he was wearing a purple shirt with a white lab coat.
“Yes, are you Sycamore?” Celesta asked the man.
The man nodded. “Yes, that’s me. Who are you?” He asked Celestia
“My name is Celestia Sun and I am Luna’s big sister.”
It took a few seconds before Sycamore smiled. “Really? Luna didn’t mention you when she was here.” Celestia wasn’t surprised at all. “Is there anything I can help you with?” He asked Celestia.
“Yes, do you know where my sister is? I want to talk to here?”
Sycamore had to think for a moment. “She should be back by now, let me call the Pokémon center and then I will call you back, is that okay with you?” Celestia gave him a nod. “Great, just give me a few minutes.” He then hung up and Celestia waited.
It didn’t take long before the phone rang, Celestia answered. “Hello?” She saw Sycamore on the screen. “Good news Celestia, your sister it at the Pokémon center and I have on the other line and you can talk to her.”
Celestia just smiled. “That would be great.” She saw as Sycamore pushed some buttons and then she saw her sister.
“Hey Celestia, it’s been a while.” Said Luna with a smile.
Celestia just smirk. “It’s been around a week.”
Luna just smirk herself. “Maybe, but it fells longer.” Luna had a point. “Anyway, I’m glad you called, I wanted to say that I’m sorry for what I said last time, I didn’t mean it.” She said while looking down in shame.
Celestia was proud of her sister. “Don’t worry about it, I just wanted to call you that I have reached Oreburgh city and I am going to have my first gym battle later today.”
That peaked Luna’s interested. “Really?” Celestia nodded. “I have already had my first gym battle and I won, look.” Celestia watch as Luna took out a bag that look like a bug. “This is the bag, it’s called bug badge.” Luna told her sister with some pride in her voice.
Celestia wanted to tell Luna not to get cocky but she was more proud. “That’s impressed, just remember not to let it go to your head.”
Luna just rolled her eyes as she put away her badge. “I know already, I leaner that lesson in Hoenn.” Luna then deiced to asked her sister something. “Hey, have to catch some new Pokémon yet?”
Celestia nodded her head. “Yes, have managed to catch three.”
Luna’s mouth fell open when she hear that. “You have three? I have only managed to catch two.” Luna sounded disappointed and Celestia didn’t understand why, she thought that her sister should be proud of that. “Can you show them to me?” Luna asked her big sister.
“Sure.” Celestia took out one ball and let out Rookidee. “This is Rookidee, he was the first Pokémon I caught. Say hello to my sister Rookidee.” He did that.
Celestia watch as Luna took out her Pokédex. “Why do I get the feeling I have seen Rookidee before.” Celestia had the same feeling. “And the last two?”
Celestia took out two more balls and released them, she then picked them up in her arms so Luna could see them. “This is Budew and Shellos, say hello to Luna, my little sister.” They did that.
Luna look at the data. “Wow, a Pokémon that look different considering where they live, that’s cool.” Celestia thought the same, she didn’t use the word cool.
“Well, let’s see your new Pokémon.” Celestia told her sister.
“Hang on.” Luna put away her dex and took out two Pokéballs, out came a pink Pokémon that started to float around her. Then Luna picked up a Pokémon that look like a deer. “I have caught a Spritzee and Deerling.” Celestia took out her own dex.
Spritzee the perfume Pokémon. It emits a scent that enraptures those who smell it. This fragrance changes depending on what it has eaten.
Deerling the season Pokémon. Their coloring changes according to the season and be slightly affected by the temperature and humidity as well.
Celestia was amazed by both of them, a Pokémon emit a scent and a Pokémon that change it’s fur deepening on the season.
“They look strong.” Celestia put away her dex. “The reason I wanted to talk you is that I saw Sunset right after I left professor Rowan lap.”
Luna’s mouth fell open when she heard that. “You got to be kidding me, Sunset is in Sinnoh? Talk about bad luck, but I think you can beat her if you train good enough.”
“Don’t worry, I have no intention losing to her.” Celestia didn’t like to sound cocky but she really didn’t want to lose to Sunset. “By the way, is James there?”
Luna raised an eye brown. “Yes, why?”
“I want to ask him about something.”
Luna nodded. “One moment.” Luna look to the side. “Hey James, my sister want to ask you something.”
It didn’t take long before Celestia saw James. “Hey, you wanted to ask me something?”
“Yes, do you know a man by the name of Paul?”
Celesta saw James frowned. “Unfortunately, yes. He is one strong trainer that live in Sinnoh, I don’t remember where I lives, don’t tell my have battle him?”
Celestia shook her head. “No, but I saw Sunset battle him and she lost.” Celestia saw that Luna was shocked to hear that.
“That doesn’t surprised me at all, Paul haven’t lost that many Pokémon battles, I’m one of the few that have beaten him.”
Luna look over at her boyfriend with a worried look. “He’s that good?”
James nodded. “Yes, if you are ever going to battle him Celestia, don’t underestimate him because if you do, you will lose.”
Celestia was actually a little afraid now. “Don’t worry about it, I have no intention in battling him. Maybe when I and my Pokémon are stronger.”
James nodded. “Good.” He look at Luna. “I’m going to get something to eat, want some?”
“Yeah.” James then left. “I hope you will be okay Tia, considering that Sunset and this Paul is in Sinnoh.”
Celestia smiled. “Don’t worry about me Luna, I can take care of myself. Look, I have to go, I have to get ready for my gym battle.”
Luna nodded, they both hung up and Celestia had to get ready.
After her talk with Luna and her Pokémon was healed, Celestia was now standing in front of the gym in Oreburgh city and she was actually very nervous. She didn’t understand it, she has dealt with a loot things in her life, some of them she isn’t very proud of so it’s illogical that she should be nervous now.
Lumi look over to the elderly woman. “Nervous?” Celestia didn’t expect Lumi to talk so she almost jump out of her own skin. “It’s okay to be nervous, but that feeling will disappeared when the battle starts.” Celestia believe her. They walk in.
Once inside Celestia could see a man with light brown hair and he was wearing a yellow jack, he was sitting on chair behind a desk reading the newspaper. He didn’t notice the girls.
Celestia decided to speak up. “Excuse me.”
The man look up from the paper and he smiled when he saw them. “Welcome.” He stood up and put down the newspaper. “This is Oreburgh city gym, my name is Ian and I am guessing that you two are here to challenge Roark the gym leader.”
Lumi nodded her head towards Celestia. “She is, I’m just going to watch today.” She told Ian.
Ian nodded in understating. “That works,” He then look at Celestia. “my I get your name.”
“Yes, my name is Celestia Sun and I want a battle with Roark.” She blurt out.
Lumi couldn’t help but giggle of how nervous Celestia while Ian just smiled. “You are in luck, he is in the gym, if you two will follow me.” He then started to walk further into the building and the girls followed him.
They entered another room and Celestia could see a battle field that her sister fought on in the tournament, this one had rocks on it which made sense, considering the gym leader used rock Pokémon. In the middle of the field stood a man who had to be Roark, he was wearing a grey overall with some yellow on it, he was also wearing an orange helmet on his head, Celestia didn’t understand why.
Roark smiled when he saw Celestia and Lumi. “Welcome to Oreburg gym, my name is Roark and you have probably guessed that I am the gym leader. Now, who is the first challenger?” He asked them both.
Celestia step forward. “That’s me, my Celestia Sun and I am looking forward to battle you.” Then to every one surprised, she bowed.
Roark was surprised by Celestia’s action. “You don’t need to bow.” He told her.
Celestia got up pretty fast and she had a blush on her face. “I’m sorry, I’m just nervous.”
Lumi just rolled her eyes, this was getting ridiculous. She couldn’t understand why Celestia was so nervous, she wasn’t that when the battle in forest.
Roark and Ian just smiled. “It’s okay, everyone gets nervous. You want to begin?” Celestia nodded her head. “Great.” Roark then look at Ian. “Ian, if you would.” Ian walk over to where the judge stood, Lumi headed over to the stands while Roark and Celestia took their placed on each side of the battle field.
Ian was the judge. “The Oreburg city gym battle between Celestia the challenger and Roark the gym leader is about to get underway, the battle will be three on three and as soon as all three Pokémon either side is unable to counited, the challenge is over. In addition, only the challenger may substitute Pokémon. Now let the battle begin.”
Roark was up first. “Come out Geodude.” Out came a Pokémon that Celestia had battle before.
Then it was Celestia’s turn. “You’re up first Chimchar.” Out came the chimp Pokémon and Roark and Ian was a little surprised by Celestia choice, they thought she would use a Pokémon that had an advantage.
Lumi knew why Celestia chose Chimchar, she had no other option. Out of Celestia’s four Pokémon, Rookidee isn’t suitable to battle Roark’s rock Pokémon and considering Chimchar knows dig, the chimp Pokémon was her third choice.
Then Ian spoke up. “The challenger has the first move.”
Celestia know what to do. “Chimchar, use ember.” Chimchar fired away fire from its mouth which hit Geodude but it didn’t do much damage.
Roark didn’t understand why Celestia did that but right, he had to focus. “Use rollout.” Geodude rolled into a ball and started to spin and the Pokémon rolled towards Chimchar.
“Quickly, use dig.” The chimp Pokémon dug a hole and Grodude missed ending rollout. “Do it.” Then Chimchar came up right under Geodude which send the rock Pokémon flying up in the air, Geodude landed on the ground unconscious.
“Geodude is unable to battle, Chimchar is the winner.” Ian announced.
Everyone was surprised how easy Chimchar knocked out Geodude, especially Celestia. There are two option, one, Geodude was weak or Chimchar got lucky. Celestia think Chimchar got lucky and that won’t happened again.
Roark called back. Geodude. “Nice work.” He put away the ball and took out another one and thre it. “Come out Onix.” Out came the rock snake Pokémon, a Pokémon Celestia remember that Luna used in the tournament in Hoenn. “Use stealth rock.” Onix fired away small rock that became large as the landed around Chimchar.
Celestia watch in horror as Onix used stealth rock, this was the one move she didn’t want Roark to use but he did, she had to attack. “Use dig.” Chimchar dug another hole.
“That’s not going to work, use slam on the ground Onix.” The giant Pokémon slammed its tail on ground and it cracked sending Chimchar up in the air. “Use slam again.” Onix attack again and this he slammed his tail on Chimchar slamming the chimp Pokémon into the ground, Chimchar was out.
“Chimchar is unable to battle, Onix is the winner.” Ian announced.
Celestia couldn’t believe how strong Onix was, the giant Pokémon just destroyed the ground like it was nothing, but she wasn’t about to give up. Celestia called back Chimchar and got ready her next Pokémon. “You’re up Budew.” Out came the bud Pokémon and right away stealth rock activated and Budew was hurt, Celestia couldn’t worry about that now. “Use poison powder.” Budew’s bud open and out came dark blue powder that started to fall on the ground and Onix.
“That’s not good.” Said Roark with worried in his voice as his Onix became poison. “Move it Onix.” It was too late, the giant Pokémon was now poison. “Damn it, use double edge.” Onix headed towards Budew it its head first.
“Dodge the attack and use absorb.” The tiny Pokémon managed to jump away just as Onix head hit her, Budew and absorb some of Onix energy healing the damage she got from stealth rock. “Now, use bullet seed.” Budew fired away seed from its bud.
“Dodge that Onix.” The rock snake Pokémon managed to avoid the attack with ease and Celestia was surprised how fast Onix was. “Use double edge again.” Onix attack again and this the attack hit, Celestia was lost in thoughts.
Celestia was mad at herself. “Damn it, use absotb.” Budew recover and took the energy back.
Roark was done. “Use slam Onix.” The snake Pokémon attack with its tail again and Budew didn’t have the time, the bud Pokémon was out. Before Ian could announce that Onix was the winner, the giant snake Pokémon fell to the ground, unconscious.
“Both Pokémon is unable to battle, which means it’s a draw.” Ian announced.
Both trainer was surprised by that special Roark, he didn’t think that Onix was that hurt. Celestia and Roark called back their Pokémon and got ready there least one.
Roark was up first. “It’s your turn Cranidos.” Roark threw the Pokéball and out a Pokémon that Celestia hadn’t seen before, the Pokémon was standing on two legs, it was grey and blue and it very tough. Celestia took out her dex to see the data.
Cranidos the head butt Pokémon. It lived in the jungles around 100 million years ago. Its skull is as hard as iron.
Celestia was right, Cranidos look tough, she put away her dex and took out a Pokéball and threw it. “You’re up Shellos.” Out came the sea slug Pokémon and immediately he was hit by stealth rock, Celestia was not happy by that. “Use water gun.” Shellos fired away water from its mouth.
Roark was ready. “Dodge that and us headbutt.” Cranidos moved to the side and started to run towards Shellos who was to slow to move, he was hit hard by Grandios skull.
“Don’t give up, us another water gun.” Shellos managed to recover quickly and attack with water again and this time, Granidos didn’t have the time to move. “Now, use ancient power.” Shellos summoned rocks around himself and threw them wat Cranidos who was hit hard.
Roark had to do something. “Let’s use zen headbutt.” Cranidos started to run as its skull started to glow, then Granidos headbutt Shellos hard. Celestia just watch as Shellos landed in front of her, the sea slug Pokémon was hurt and tired, she had to end it with one attack, Roark thought the same. “Let’s use another zen headbutt.” Cranidos skull started to glow again as the Pokémon started to run.
Celestia had to do something. “Use water pulse.” Shellos managed to get up and fired away a ball of water that hit Granidos right in the face, the head butt Pokémon fell face first on the ground unconscious.
“Cranidos is unable to battle, Shellos is the winner, which means the victor is Celestia.” Ian announced.
Celestia couldn’t believe it, she had won. She was lost in her own thoughts and didn’t notice that Roark had called back Cranidos and was walking towards her.
“Nice work Celestia, by beating me you have won the Coal Badge.”
Roark’s voice brought Celestia out of her own thoughts. “Right, thanks.” She blinked a few times and took her badge and held it up to her face, she look at with a smile on her face. She had won her first badge.
