It was a normal day in class at your school and things couldn't be more boring for you. You were currently looking out the window not paying attention to your teacher's boring history lesson. As you were looking out the window you suddenly heard a knock at the door, you turn your head to see who was at the door. Just then the door opened and the principal walked into your class, surprising you. The principal never normally came to your classroom, was someone in your class in trouble? Your teacher went over to see what your principal wanted which was a blessing to you because now you didn't have to hear any more of the boring history lesson. You watched as your teacher left the classroom to go talk to the principal, however, you caring about what they were talking about, you decided to turn around and start talking to your good friend Sunset Shimmer. You had known Sunset practically your entire life, she was an amazing friend and everyone in your class loved her for her kind loving nature.
"Hey Sunset, can I borrow your notes after class?" You asked turning around to face her.
Sunset was about to speak but before she could someone cut her off. "You know, you should pay attention to class Anon." said a girl sitting next to Sunset. You turned your attention from Sunset to the girl next to her. You rolled your eyes, good oh Twilight Sparkle decided to speak her mind.
Twilight was Sunset's nerdy friend, it took a bit of time but you got used to her after a while. She was an egghead but at least a nice one that could help you if you ever had a question or better yet, homework. You knew how she acted when someone didn't pay attention in class or follow the rules so you decided to quickly change the subject before you were given a lecture from her.
"What do you think they're talking about." You said while pointing to your teacher and principal who were still talking about who knows what. "You think someone got in trouble?"
"I heard that there's supposed to be three new students coming today, they're probably talking about that." said Sunset as she looked at the teacher and principal.
As you, Sunset, and Twilight were talking about the possible new students your principal walked away from the teacher and your teacher walked back in and stood in front of the classroom.
"Can I have your attention please?" Your teacher asked. Everyone stopped their conversation with their friends and looked at their teacher. The teacher smiled now that everyone was quiet, and she then started to speak. "Our principal has just informed me that we will be having three new students come to join our class, make them feel welcomed, and treat them with respect, after all, we are a family in this class, and we treat everyone like a family. Now I'm going to go out of the classroom for a while to get them, you are all allowed to talk to your friends but just stay seated and try not to make too much noise. There are still classes that are going on and we don't want to disturb their learning." The class nodded their heads letting the teacher know they understood what they were told.
As your teacher left, kids started to talk to their friends while you talked to Sunset and Twilight. After five minutes your teacher came back into the class with three students, three girls to be precise. All three of them looked different, the first one had big curly yellow hair and skin, the second one had pigtails with purple skin, and the third one had a ponytail and blue skin and hair like Twilight. As you looked at them there was some chatter amongst the students.
"Are they the new students?" asked a student.
"How is that girl's hair so big?" asked another.
"They seem nice." said another.
"Attention students, these will be our new students for the year, now what are your names little ones?" asked your teacher as she looked down at the three new girls.
"My name is Adagio." said the girl with the big curly hair.
"I'm Aria." said the girl with the pigtails.
"Hi, I'm Sonata." said the girl with the ponytail.
"Adagio and Aria you go sit in the two seats next to Flash Sentry, and Sonata you go sit next to Anon." said your teacher as she showed the new girls to their seats.
As Adagio, Aria, and Sonata took their seats, Sonata looked at you and smiled at you. You not wanting to be rude smiled back at her. While Sunset and Twilight also looked at Sonata with a smile.
"It's nice to meet you all, I hope we can all be friends." Sonata greeted.
"I think we'll be great friends Sonata, I'm Anon." You said with a wave.
"Students as this is your last year of Elementary school and you're going into Middle school you will have to choose your classes, so today you will be choosing your classes if you need any help just come to me." Your teacher said as she went to her desk to sit down.
"Why are Math, History, Science, and P.E. already selected classes?" asked Flash Sentry raising his hand. You looked over at Flash, you had known Flash practically your whole life as well. The two of you were the best of friends, friends for life, the boys, the bros.
"Well in Middle and High School, Math, History, Science, and P.E., are necessary for you to have." said your teacher answering Flash's question.
You looked at your classes, Math and Science in your first and third quarters and History and P.E. in the second and fourth quarters. You had four choices to choose from the ten that were given to you. You decided to choose art because you liked to draw, Theater Arts because you wanted to try new things, and you always did want to learn a new language so you took Spanish, and for your final pick, you decided to pick Home Economics. Once you were done you stood up and gave it to your teacher, as you waited for your teacher you decided to see what classes your friends were choosing. You looked at Sunset's and Twilight's choices they had the exact same thing, Home Economics, Band, some sort of Science activity, and Theater Arts. You then looked at Sonata's she had nearly everything you had, Home Economics, Theater Arts, and Art, but instead of Spanish, she did Japanese. After everyone finished choosing their classes it was time for lunch. You sat next to Twilight, Flash, and Sunset talking about what you guys were going to do over the weekend.
"Well, me and Flash are going to have a sleepover at his place." You said as you took a bite of your lunch.
"My mom's going to show me her science lab." said Twilight drinking some water.
Sunset smiled. "Well, my dad's going to help me build a tree house."
"That sounds cool." Said Flash as he looked at Sunset.
As you were talking to your friends you saw Adagio, Aria, and Sonata walking right in your direction. You were confused as to why they were coming, were they mad at you guys, or did they just want to make some friends? But before they could get to talk to you guys the bell rang, telling the kids that lunch was over. You got up with your friends and headed to class. After coming in from class your teacher told you guys that the rest of the day was a free day. You wanted to play Uno with your friends so you got the card box and went to your friends.
"Hey Twilight, Sunset, Flash, you want to play Uno?" You asked as you held the Uno card game in your hand.
"Sure!!" Your friend said excitedly to play the game.
As you were getting out the cards for the game you saw Sonata heading your way. You looked around to see where the others were but you couldn't see them.
"Hey, you don't mind if I play to do you?" asked Sonata as she looked at you and your friends.
"Sure, we're friends after all." You said as you got a chair for her.
By the time you finished your first game, it was time to get ready to go home for the weekend. As you got your stuff together you headed out with Flash to his mother's car where she was waiting for the two of you.
"Did you bring your stuff for the sleepover?" asked Flash looking over at you.
"You bet I did, no way I would forget about bringing it." You said as you showed Flash all the stuff you brought for the sleepover.
"So Anon tell me, what do you think of the new girls?" asked Flash as the two of you walked closer to Flash's mom's car.
"They're nice." You said as you thought about them. "I think things are going to be a lot more fun with them around now, plus, they could be our friends."
Flash smiled. "Yeah they could be, they seem like nice people." Flash then looked over at Anon. "You ready for an awesome weekend full of fun?"
"You bet!!!" You said excitedly about what the weekend was to bring.
And with that, you and Flash got into his mom's car and drove off to his house. You look out the window to see Adagio, Aria, and Sonata, it was the first time you ever meet them. You couldn't wait to get to know them better and maybe make three new friends. But right now you were looking forward to spending a weekend with your best friend. This day couldn't have gone any better.
It had been a few weeks since Adagio, Aria, and Sonata had joined your class. The end of the year was coming to an end and you were honestly looking forward to middle school. It was a Friday and you were waiting for the bell to ring to go to lunch. After a few minutes, the bell rang indicating it was time for lunch, as you headed out to lunch with Flash, Sunset came up to you guys.
"Hey guys, what's up?" asked Sunset as she walked up to you and Flash.
Flash looked over at Sunset. "Nothing, me and Anon are headed to get lunch."
Sunset nodded her head. "Well, I just wanted to let you know that it's my birthday tomorrow and I was wondering if you guys wanted to come over and have a sleepover?"
You nodded your head and smiled. "Sure, I'll definitely be coming to your birthday."
Flash nodded his head as well. "Yeah, I don't get anything else to do."
You then looked over at Sunset, you wanted to know who was invited to her birthday. "Who's all coming to the party?"
Sunset then started to think about it. "Twilight, Adagio, Aria, and Sonata."
"Oh boy." Flash then turned to you. "Looks like it's just you and me, Anon."
You rolled your eyes. "I'm sure it'll be better than it sounds."
Sunset smiled. "Well, I'll see you guys later I have to ask the others if they can come over, see you tomorrow." Sunset then turned around to find the others as she waved goodbye to you and Flash.
"See you tomorrow Sunset." You and Flash both say as you both wave goodbye to Sunset.
"Well, Anon you excited about Sunset's birthday tomorrow?" Flash asked as he looked over at you.
You nodded and smiled. "You bet, this is going to be awesome!"
After lunch, you and Flash headed back into class. You really didn't pay attention for the rest of the day, you just were waiting for the day to end so you could escape from school for the weekend. For the next hour and a half, you zoned out not paying attention to what your teacher was saying.
The moment every kid wants to hear on a Friday is the bell. As the bell rang everyone headed their way back home. As you were walking home with Flash you were starting to think about Sunset's birthday, this was going to be your first sleepover at another person's house other than Flash's. You also would have to tell your parents about the party. Once you got to your house, you and Flash went your separate ways. As you unlocked the door you saw your mom in the kitchen making dinner and your father wasn't on the couch watching TV so you guessed he was still at work.
"Hi, mom." You said as you entered the house closing the door behind you.
"Hello Anon, how was your day?" Your mom asked as she went over to you.
You smiled. "It was good, Sunset gave me an invitation to her party tomorrow and I was wondering if I could go."
Your mom smiled at you. "Of course, you can go over, what time do you need to be there?"
"Noon, but it's a sleepover." You were hoping your mom would let you.
Your mom nodded her head. "Ok, I'll tell your dad about you going to Sunset's but as for you, you have to get your stuff ready for tomorrow."
"Thanks, mom, I will." You said as you made your way to your room.
When you got into your room you started to talk out some clothes for tomorrow, your pj's, pillow, blanket, etc. You decided to take a shower before dinner, as you got into the bathroom you heard the garage door open so you guessed your dad got home late.
After a fifteen-minute bath, you got dressed you came downstairs for dinner. You saw your dad sitting down at the table eating his dinner while your mom was making your and her meals. She was making her chicken that you liked. You took a seat on one of the chairs, and as you did your dad noticed you.
Your dad looked up at you with a smile. "Hello son, I heard that you're going to have a sleepover at Sunset's for her birthday."
You nodded your head. "Yeah, you ok with that?"
Your dad nodded his head. "Of course I am, but you better get an early night, tonight."
You nodded your head to your dad. "Ok dad, I'll go to bed after dinner."
As you ate your dinner, you wondered what her birthday would be like with the Dazzlings sisters. It had always been you, Flash, and Twilight. As you headed to your bed for the night you wondered what Sunset's birthday would be like.
As you got up you checked your clock. It was 10:07, you still had time before Sunset's party. You did your morning actives eat breakfast, got dressed, and brushed your teeth. Your mom is always up before you and your dad normally wake up at 11ish. Your mom was getting ready to take you to Sunset's while you got your backpack. As you and your mom got in the car and headed to Sunset's you made sure you had everything with you.
After a few minute-long ride you arrived at Sunset's house. You waved your mom goodbye and knocked on the door. After a while you heard the door open, it was Sunset's mom.
"Hello, Anon how are you?" asked Mrs. Shimmer as she looked down at you.
You smiled as you looked up at Sunset's mom. "I'm good, I hope I didn't keep everyone waiting."
Mrs. Shimmer shook her head. "Oh no, Flash just arrived a little bit before, so they haven't had to wait long."
You nodded your head as you then tried to look inside the house. "Oh ok, so where are they?"
Sunset's mom then pointed to the backyard. "They're outside in the tree house where you guys will sleep tonight."
"Ok thank you." You said as you then walked into the house and made your way into the backyard.
"Have fun, I'll call you when dinner is ready." Mrs. Shimmer said as she waved goodbye to you.
As you headed outside you saw the tree house, this was your first time actually seeing the tree house and you had to say it was awesome. You heard the rest of your friends laughing, as you climbed up the tree house, as you opened the door to the tree house you saw all your friends laughing and having fun.
"You guys look like your having fun without me I see." You said as you entered the tree house.
Sunset then turned to you and smiled. "Oh hi Anon, come on we were just playing truth or dare, but we each have two lives, we just started so you didn't miss anything."
"Sure, whose turn is it?" You asked as you took your seat next to Flash.
"Well it was going to be Flash's turn but you can go before him, that is if he's ok with that." Sunset said as she looked over at Flash.
Flash smiled and nodded. "Yeah I'm fine with that, Anon you can go ahead."
"Thanks, Flash." You said as you looked at him. You then turned your attention to the group, you looked around for a bit until you found your prey. You smiled as you looked at them. "Ok, Twilight truth or dare?"
"Truth." Twilight said as she raised her glasses.
You smirked. "Is it true that you got a crush on someone in our class?"
Twilight shook her head. "Nope."
"Yes she does, she likes homework." Flash said as the rest of the group besides Twilight laughed.
"Wow Flash, I got to give you a high-five for that one." said Aria as she went over and high-fived Flash.
Twilight rolled her eyes with a small blush. "Whatever, Flash truth or dare?"
"Dare." said Flash as he crossed his arms.
It was then Twilight's turn to smirk. "I dare you to eat some dirt."
You look over at Flash's face, and he was in shock. He kinda deserved it for what he said to Twilight and that was Twilight's way of revenge. "Man this is so not fair, I ain't going to eat some dirt."
Sunset laughed. "Ok so everyone but Flash has two lives left."
Everyone nodded as Aria then made her move. "My turn, Adagio truth or dare?"
Adagio flipped her hair with a smirk. "Dare."
Aria smirked. "I dare you to change your hairstyle for a week."
Looking at her sister in surprise Adagio held her hair in fear. "No way, my hair is staying how it is."
"Aww, that would have been funny." Sonata frowned.
Sunset smiled as she rolled her eyes. "Well, that's a life for Adagio out."
Adagio rolled her eyes. "Guess it's my turn Sunset truth or dare?"
Sunset thought and then smiled. "Truth."
"Is it true that you stole something from our teacher last week?" Adagio asked with a smirk.
Sunset then looked away from Adagio. "No comment on that."
You looked at Sunset and smirked. "Man, Sunset is acting like she's Carmen Sandiego."
Sunset rolled her eyes with a small blush. "Whatever that's a life for me."
"My turn." Sonata said with a big smile. "Aria truth or dare?"
Aria smirked at Sonata and crossed her arms. "Dare, I ain't a baby."
Sonata then looked over at Flash and smiled. "I dare you to kiss Flash."
Aria looked over at Flash. "Yeah no thanks, Flash your a good guy but I ain't gonna kiss you."
Flash nodded his head. "That's fine, I understand." You looked over at him and smiled, you knew deep down he didn't want to do that because he had a crush on Sunset.
"That's a life for Aria." Sunset said as she wrote it down to remind herself. "Ok, my turn." Sunset then looked around the group and saw Sonata. "Sonata truth or dare?"
Sonata smiled. "Truth."
Sunset smirked. "Is it true that you were the one that farted during lunch?"
Sonata turned redder than a tomato. "No comment."
"That's a life for Sonata." Sunset said as she smiled and wrote it down.
Flash rubbed his hand, he was looking forward to this. "Alright, the best for last Twilight truth or dare?"
"Dare." Twilight said as she stared at Flash. You looked back and forth between them, there was a war from Flash's earlier comment and it didn't look like either was going to back down.
Flash looked at her and smiled. "I dare you to eat some dirt since you want me to eat dirt."
You looked at Flash in surprise. Flash was surprisingly being very evil today. "Man, that's dirty, Flash."
Twilight nodded her head in defeat. "That's fair, I forfeit."
"Everyone but Anon has one life left." Sunset announced.
You smiled, you were not only winning but it was also your turn. "Ok Adagio truth or dare?"
Adagio thought about it and then smiled. "Dare."
"Who do you have a crush on?" You asked as you smirked. You knew Adagio loved talking about relationships and whatnot but did she have a crush on anyone?
Adagio blushed harder than Sonata. "That's a private question."
Sunset smiled at Adagio but then sighed. "Sorry Adagio, but your out."
Adagio smiled back at Sunset. She was a bit sad she lost but she didn't mind. "That's fine."
Twilight then raised her glasses. "My turn, Anon truth or dare?"
You thought about it. If you said dare you could possibly lose one of your lives. But by saying truth you had a better chance at keeping your lead. "Truth."
You saw Twilight smile, she had a plan and you had to be ready for it. "Is it true that you have a crush on someone at school?"
You smiled back at Twilight. Her plan was a good one but it wasn't going to work. "Nope, because if I did I would tell Flash."
Twilight nodded her head as Aria then smiled. "My turn, Flash truth or dare?"
Flash smirked. "Dare."
"I dare you to tell all of us who you like." Aria asked smirking. You looked over at Flash and you knew it was over for him.
Flash sighed to himself. "Dang, guess I'm out."
Everyone laughed as then Sonata looked at you. "My turn, Anon truth or dare?"
You smiled. "Dare." You had truth the last time, it was time to say dare.
"I dare you when we come back from the weekend to walk into the girls' bathroom." said Sonata. Everyone looked at her in surprise and then over to you.
You hated to admit it but Sonata knew what she was doing. You were in the lead so doing something like that was a smart call. "No way, no how. I don't want to be known as a pervert."
Sunset nodded as she wrote it down. "That's Anon's first live gone, and my turn Twilight truth or dare?"
"Truth." Twilight said raising her glasses once again.
"Is it true that you didn't get a 100% on that last test we did?" Sunset said with a bit of a smirk. You looked over at Twilight in surprise, she didn't get a perfect 100%?
Twilight looked at Sunset a bit upset. "For your information, I got a 99% still an A better than the B you got."
Flash laughed. "Oh snap Twilight fought back."
"You'll pay for that." Sunset said as she glared at Twilight. She then turned it over to you. "Back to you Anon."
"Alright. Aria truth or dare?" You asked as you looked over at Aria.
Aria smirked, and you smiled. You already knew what she was going to say. "Dare."
You smiled. "I dare you to tell us how much your sisters really mean to you."
Aria blushed. "That's for me to know, and only me."
"Aww, I love you too Aria." Sonata said as she gave Aria a hug.
Sunset smiled but then looked over at Aria. "Sorry Aria, but your out."
"Ok, Sonata truth or dare." Twilight asked as she looked over at Sonata.
Twilight smiled. "Truth."
Twilight smirked. "Is it true that you have a crush on someone at school?"
"It is." Sonata said while blushing. Sonata then turned over at Sunset. "My turn, Sunset truth or dare?"
Sunset smiled. "Dare."
"I dare you to ask a random person out." Sonata asked with a big smile.
Sunset shook her head. "Yeah I don't think so, all the boys other than Flash and Anon don't stand out to me."
You turn over to Flash and smiled. "You hear that Flash we're special."
Sunset nodded and then sighed as she looked down. "Oh well, I'm out, your turn Anon."
You turn to Sunset and nod. "Ok Sonata, truth or dare?"
Sonata smiled at you. "Dare."
You smiled at her, you just had to know. "Who is this person you have a liking to?"
Everyone seemed to wonder that as well. Sonata blushed from the attention she was getting from everyone. As you all waited in anticipation Sonata only got redder by the second, after a deep breath she finally began to speak.
Sonata looked down with a big blush. "It's Dusk Shine."
That seemed to cause a tornado because as soon as she said that the whole tree house was filled with questions like 'When are you going to ask him' and stuff like that. While everyone was cheering and whatnot Sunset's mother came outside.
"Sunset dinner ready." Mrs. Shimmer called out.
"Coming mom!" Sunset called back. She then stood up and looked at all of you. "Come on guys, let's go get some dinner."
As you guys climbed down the tree house you thought about what Sonata had said. You had kept a smile on the whole time but in reality, you felt hurt. Why did you feel hurt? You should feel happy with Sonata liking someone and helping her but you do not. What did Dusk Shine do to make her fall for him and why did it hurt so much to hear her say that she liked someone else?
As you were eating the dinner and the cake Mrs. Shimmer made which was, by the way, some of the best cake you had ever had. But all you could think of was what Sonata had said early. 'It's Dusk Shine', Dusk Shine was one of the popular kids at the school. You never really talked with Dusk Shine, and you never thought that Sonata would like a popular kid. You were still wondering why you felt so sad about Sonata saying she liked someone else, maybe it was just because it was Dusk Shine of all people.
Once you all finished eating your dinner and the cake you all got dressed for the night. After you all got dressed you brought your pillows and blankets with you to the tree house where the kids were allowed to sleep for the night. Once you all settled down your sleeping bags and everything you guys decided to finish the truth and dare game from earlier.
"Ok, so who's going to start?' You asked looking around at everyone.
"Well since Sunset is out and it's her birthday she can decide I guess?" said Twilight making sure everyone was ok with that.
"That sounds good to me, so who's starting, Sunny?" asked Sonata as she looked at Sunset.
Sunset thought about it and then made her choice. "Sonata you can start, then Anon, and finally Twilight." Sunset said as she made her decision.
"Ok, Anon truth or dare?" Sonata asked as she turned to you.
"Truth." You said, you weren't about to lose to some stupid dare of hers.
"Is it true that you didn't like the cake but you just didn't want to say anything?" Sonata asked. "I saw that the way you were looking during dinner, you didn't look like you liked it very much."
You were about to answer but then stopped. She noticed you when you were eating, and for some reason that made you feel happy inside. You then looked at Sonata, smiled, and shook your head. "Nope, in fact, that was one of the best cakes I ever had." You then turned to Sunset. "Sunset tell your mom she makes one good cake." You said with a smile.
"I will Anon, she'll like that a lot." Sunset said with a smile of her own.
You nodded as you turned your attention to Twilight. "Ok, my turn, Twilight! Truth or dare?"
Twilight thought about it and then made her decision. "Truth." It seemed as though she too was playing it safe.
"Be honest what happened in the bathroom on Wednesday?" You asked with a smirk. Everyone had heard the rumor about the incident in the girl's bathroom, but you wanted to know if it was true or not.
"I already told you the toilet wasn't working, I didn't break it." Twilight said looking away as she blushed.
"Ok, ok, jeez, I never said you broke it, I just asked, defensive much." You said as you rolled your eyes.
Twilight rolled her eyes. "Whatever Anon, Sonata, truth or dare?"
"Dare." Sonata said confidently.
"Sonata I dare you to ask out Dusk Shine when we go back to school on Monday." Twilight said pointing at Sonata.
Everyone was silent, everyone was surprised, and Sonata was a blushing mess. You on the other hand were dumbfounded, did you hear that right? Or did you just fall asleep and all of this was just some weird dream you were having? Your thoughts were cut short once you heard Sunset say something.
"Are you sure that's a good dare to give her?" Sunset asked looking at Twilight.
"Yeah, and plus, she is our little sister." Adagio said, Aria shook her head in agreement.
"Yeah, but I mean this is a dare, and Sonata can forfeit the dare if she wants to." Flash pointed out.
"Well, Sonata what's your choice?" You asked as you looked at Sonata.
"I-um... I'll ask him." Sonata said looking down still blushing.
Silence.
You could hear a mosquito fly around if you listened hard enough. Sonata had said yes, Sonata was going to do the dare. She was going to ask Dusk Shine out on Monday.
Twilight stared at Sonata surprised. "I was sure you would say no Sonata, you don't have to accept the dare I can give you a different one if you want."
Sonata shook her head. "No, I'll do it, I've been wanting to ask him for a while now."
"How long is, 'for a while now' Sonata?" asked Adagio with a smirk.
"Um, for about a few weeks now." Sonata said looking up at everyone.
Everyone looked at Sonata surprised, they had grown to know that she wasn't good at keeping things to herself.
"Sonata, why didn't you say something earlier." Aria asked her younger sister.
Sonata shrugged her shoulders. "I didn't know what to do, all of this is new to me."
"Are you sure this is a good idea?" Flash asked looking at everyone.
"I second that opinion." You said. "I mean, it would probably be best to be fully ready to tell him, you know?"
"Look no offense Flash, Anon, but this is a girl thing not a boys thing, you understand right?" Sunset said looking at you and Flash.
"Yeah ok, I understand." Flash said as he turned to you and shrugged his shoulders.
You looked back at him and shrugged your shoulder, you then turn to Sunset and nod your head. "Right sorry, this is odd to us I guess."
As the girls were talking about Dusk Shine and how Sonata should ask him, you and Flash started playing a game of cards which he had thankfully brought over. After a whole game of cards, the girls were still talking about Dusk Shine and Sonata, laughing and giggling the whole time. You hadn't noticed until now but a whiteboard was now suddenly in the treehouse. How did it get there, you didn't know. You and Flash started to get a little tired so you two decided to speak up.
"Hey me and Anon are getting tired, so if you guys could maybe hold the conversation for tomorrow." Flash said looking at the girls as he got into his sleeping bag.
"Yeah, it is getting late, I guess we can talk about this tomorrow, good night everyone." Sunset said as she too got into her sleeping bag.
"Goodnight." Everyone said.
As everyone headed to bed, you still thought about what had happened today. First Sonata tells everyone that she likes Dusk Shine, then she gets dared to ask him out. Finally, the girls make a plan to make Sonata ask out Dusk Shine. You wondered why you were still thinking about it, but you decided to stop thinking about it and just go to bed.
That morning the girls pretty much forgot about you and Flash as they kept talking about how Sonata would ask Dusk Shine. You and Flash played with Sunset's video games until your mothers came to pick you guys up. Once your mothers came to pick you up you and Flash headed back home.
"So how was the party, Anon?" Your mom asked you.
"It was good, we found out that Sonata likes a boy at school and she's planning on asking him out on Monday." You said as you looked out the window.
"Ah, young love I remember when I was your age and I liked someone just like her." Your mom said thinking back.
"What happened?" You asked wondering what happened in your mom's past life.
"That's a story for another time." Your mom said with a smile.
After your mom said that you got home. The rest of the day went by, in a blink of an eye. As night came by you were starting to wonder what would happen tomorrow. All you could do was just wait and see. You hoped for the best for Sonata but at the same time you didn't want Dusk Shine to say 'yes', but why?
Monday is a day that everyone can agree on, sucks. As you woke up you did your morning activities get dressed, brush your teeth, and get your backpack. As you walked out of your house you saw Flash so you decided to walk with him to school.
You walked up to Flash and waved. "Hey Flash, what's up."
"Nothing much. Hey, do you think Sonata will really ask Dusk Shine out?" Flash asked looking at you.
You nodded. "Probably, I mean you saw how she and the rest of the girls were acting."
As you headed to school you kept talking about all kinds of stuff. It was always fun walking to school with Flash. It normally took about five minutes but talking to Flash only felt like a minute or two walk. As you to got to school your eyes almost immediately saw Dusk Shine talking to his friends. You looked around trying to see where Sonata was but didn't see her, maybe she got scared and decided not to ask him.
"Hey Anon, is that who I think it is?" Flash asked making you turn to see what he was talking about.
As you turn around your jaw almost hits the floor. It was Sonata, her ponytail was now down which she never does, she had on a blue dress, and some... makeup? 'Ok, this is crazy Sonata never where's makeup or has her hair down.' Sonata was also surrounded by Adagio, Aria, Twilight, and Sunset. You guessed they were there for moral support. You and Flash headed in their direction to see what was up.
"Hey guys, is Sonata going to actually ask Dusk Shine out?" Flash asked looking at the new Sonata.
"Yeah she is, we're just giving her our support." Sunset said putting a hand on Sonata's shoulder.
Flash nodded and smiled at Sonata. "Oh, well in that guess I wish you good luck Sonata."
You nodded as well and gave Sonata a smile and a hug. "I also wish you good luck."
"Thank you, Flash, Anon." Sonata said as she hugged you.
"Sonata you remember what we taught you." Twilight said looking over at Sonata.
"Yep." Sonata said with a big smile as she looked over at Dusk Shine.
"That's a miracle." Aria said crossing her arms. She just wanted this to be over already.
"Sonata, don't worry about Aria, now hurry up and ask him." Adagio said as she started pushing Sonata toward Dusk Shine.
"Ok, ok don't get to rush me." Sonata said as she stopped Adagio.
As you guys started following Sonata you started to feel sick all of a sudden. After every step, you felt even more nauseous, and finally, Sonata was right in front of the most popular kid at school Dusk Shine. He looked at her and she looked him right in the eyes.
"Um... H-hey D-Dusk Shine." Sonata said stuttering.
"Hey Sonata, can I help you?" Dusk Shine asked as he looked at Sonata.
"Um... I wanted to a-ask you a q-question." Sonata said breaking eye contact and looking at the ground.
"Sure what is it." Dusk Shine said with a small smile.
You waited for Sonata to ask the question that was killing everyone with anticipation. You didn't realize it but you were actually saying 'say no' repeatedly in your head over and over again. But why, you wanted the best for her, didn't you?
"U-Um I l-like you a lot and I was w-wondering if you wanted to be my b-boyfriend?" Sonata said, she turned her head expecting the worse to come.
She said it, Sonata asked Dusk Shine and there was no going back now it was either a yes or no. Dusk Shine stayed quiet as he just looked at her, maybe he didn't know what to say or he was just as surprised as you.
"Only if you want to be my girlfriend." Dusk Shine said with a smirk as he looked at her.
Heartbroken.
That's all you felt, Dusk Shine had said yes to Sonata. Sonata and Dusk Shine smiled and hugged in front of you and everyone else, as they cheered for the new couple. But as for you, you put on a fake smile to make it seem like you were happy, but in fact, you weren't. As the bell rang you quickly left and headed to class by yourself.
You started to think about everything that had happened and why you felt the pain that you were feeling. First Sonata says she like Dusk Shine, then Twilight dares her to ask him out, and now Sonata asked him out, and then to top it off he said yes. As you put all the clues together you finally figured out why you felt heartbroken.
You looked out of the window as you thought back to those memories you could only feel heartbroken. It had been six years since Sonata asked Dusk Shine out. Yes, you heard me SIX YEARS. Not a week, not a month, not a year, six years.
You were currently a senior at CHS High School. As you were looking out the window in your math class, you remembered everything that changed since Sonata asked him, and since you joined high school. You were still Anon a normal average high school student at CHS. Since those six years, two big things had happened that caught your attention.
The first thing you noticed was that once you started middle school and high school you meet five amazing girls that became your friends. Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, and Fluttershy. Applejack was an honest and trustworthy person, Rainbow Dash was an athletic person as she was the captain of every sports club at CHS, not only that but she was also very loyal. Pinkie Pie was super fun to be around, she was... interesting to put it, and there was a lot of laughter at her parties. Rarity made some of the best clothes you've ever seen, she's always ready to make you something if you need it, a very generous person. Finally, there was Fluttershy, she was very shy, but once she gets out of her shell she can be very different. Fluttershy loves animals more than anyone you know. She was always there to help someone out if they needed help, a very kind person.
The second thing you noticed was that Sonata was always getting hurt one way or another. The first time you saw it she had a hurt leg, she was limping, you had asked her and she said she just fell down the stairs. You didn't question it because you've fallen downstairs plenty of times. That was until she came to school with a black eye that was when you got curious, she said she wasn't looking where she was going and someone hit her with their locker. You didn't think that was possible so you asked if she was sure she was ok, she said it would probably go anyway in a few days. It's been like that since you first started high school, maybe she got more clumsy? She was always clumsy before but she never hurt herself. Another thing you noticed about Sonata was how she acted with Dusk Shine. Whenever he was around she was always smiling, but whenever he wasn't around she almost looked like she was depressed. That's when you figured out that Sonata truly loved Dusk Shine. It wasn't any puppy love, no it was true love, she cared for Dusk Shine, she felt happy with him, and whenever he wasn't there she felt heartbroken. At least that's what you thought.
In the back of your mind, you've always thought there was something else going on. You knew Sonata was clumsy but not this clumsy, did Dusk Shine do that to her? No, there's no way you kept telling yourself. Dusk Shine wouldn't do that to Sonata, and plus Sonata would've said something to someone when he first started hitting her. Maybe he threatened her not to tell anyone or else he would do something to her or worse. That's what you always thought but then again you were a bit of an overthinker, Dusk Shine and Sonata truly loved each other dearly. Dusk Shine and Sonata were that high school couple that everyone knew about. Whenever someone tried messing with Sonata, Dusk Shine was there to protect her. So he wouldn't cause pain or harm to his girlfriend of six years.
Your feelings for Sonata never changed since Elementary School. In fact, you would say that your feelings for her grew even more. Over the years she had only gotten more pretty and amazing. It hurt seeing her with Dusk Shine but as long as she was happy you were happy. Plus you didn't want to cause any love problems for Sonata by telling her you liked her and you definitely didn't want to get on Dusk Shine's bad side.
Once the bell rang, you packed your stuff and headed to your next class which was thankfully lunch. As you got in line for lunch you took a slice of pizza, and after that, you looked for a table to sit at. As you looked around you saw all of your friends sitting down and chatting with each other, that was until Flash saw you and started to wave his hand to get your attention. Once you saw his hand you waved back and headed in his direction. You had always sat with your friends since high school and since you had so many friends you were never alone at lunch.
"Hello, Anon how are you doing?" asked Fluttershy once you sat down.
"I'm good thanks." You said.
As you started to eat your pizza you noticed that Sonata wasn't at the table, she was probably eating at Dusk Shine's table. Sonata sometimes eats at your table and sometimes at Dusk Shine's table. But even without Sonata you liked it, Twilight and Sunset doing homework, Rainbow, Aria, and Applejack having competitions, Fluttershy catering to her animals, Pinkie Pie being... Pinkie Pie, Adagio, and Rarity talking about fashion and clothes, and Flash and you talking about anything that was on your minds.
"So Anon, you know it's almost that time of the year." said Flash, you on the other hand had no clue what he was talking about.
"What do you mean?" You asked not knowing what he meant.
Flash smiled. "I'm talking about joining a club for the year."
You were shocked, you didn't know it was that time already. "It's that time of year already, boy time sure does fly by."
"I know so what club are you going to join?" Flash asked as he looked at you.
"I don't know, I mean I didn't join a club for the last three years so why can't I just do what I've always done?" You asked. You had never been a fan of joining a club, plus, none of the clubs ever caught your attention.
"Come on Anon, it's our last year of high school you should at least join a club for your last year." Flash said as he tried to persuade you.
"I guess I'll try to look for one. What club do you plan on joining this year, you always seem to choose a different club each year?" You asked looking over at Flash trying to change the subject.
Flash shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know yet, but it will definitely be something different."
"I'm going to join more clubs than the both of you!!!" Rainbow Dash yelled.
"No, I will!!!" Aria yelled back.
As Rainbow Dash and Aria were fighting you noticed that Applejack wasn't joining in the fight like she normally does. You decided to find out why she wasn't joining the fight like always.
"Hey, Applejack why aren't you joining them in the 'who can join more clubs than the other' competition?" You asked jokingly.
"Am'm afraid that ah can't join a club this year, too much work at yer farm." said Applejack as she ate her food.
"Oh, ok." You then what Applejack had said was true too. She wasn't lying, there was always work at the farm. It must be even busier at the farm than normal this year.
"Hey, guys, what club are you guys going to join this year?" Flash asked everyone.
"I don't know but more than her!!!" Aria and Rainbow said as they yelled at one another.
"I have far too much work making clothes for everyone so I can't join one I'm afraid." Rarity said as she messed with her nails.
"I'm going to join the art club with Pinkie." Fluttershy said with a smile.
"Me and Sunset are going to join the Science Club." Twilight said as she took a sip of her water.
"I'm going to be joining the acting club." said Adagio as she messed with her hair.
"As for Sonata, she's joining the baking club." said Aria as she stopped fighting with Rainbow and ate her food.
"They have a baking club here?" You asked. You didn't know they had a baking club at the school, but then again you didn't know a lot of things.
"They have many clubs you don't know about." Flash retorted.
You turned to Flash, he had a point. "Guess you got a point."
As the bell rang you and Flash picked up your trays and threw them away. Thankfully your last class of the day was with Flash. Actually most of your classes this year had Flash with you, a good way to end off your last year at high school. As you two headed to your last class you started to wonder what club you were going to join. There were so many clubs you could join but none really caught your attention.
Do you have a friend that's like a bug that won't go anyway? Or that food in-between your teeth that you can't get out no matter how hard you try. Well, that's how Flash was acting toward you lately. He's been persistent about you joining a club for your last year at Canterlot. But you on the other hand didn't want to join a club, it just wasn't your style.
You weren't really interested in the clubs CHS had to offer. All of the sports clubs were already taken up, you weren't a fan of joining the science, writing, or acting clubs, the anime club and the art was also taken up, and you definitely didn't want to bake stuff. The last time you tried baking something with Pinkie you almost burnt down the kitchen. Every club was either filled up, or the clubs just weren't interesting.
There was a week left for students to pick a club for the year. And all you had to do was to wait for a whole week until choosing clubs would be over, but with how Flash was, that wouldn't be easy. I mean what did Flash not understand by you not wanting to join a club? Joining a club wouldn't hurt your grade, and joining a club is optional not a choice the principal was forcing you to take. You couldn't just stay away from Flash either because he was your best friend, but you really didn't want to join a club. You looked up and, oh, speak of the devil here comes Flash right now coming towards you.
"Hey, Anon, what's up." said Flash as he waved to you.
"Nothing just headed to lunch." You said as you tried walking past him, you knew what he was up to.
Flash nodded his head as he followed you. "Oh ok, did you join a club yet?"
You sighed, you knew this was going to happen. "Flash for the last time I'm not going to join a club."
Flash scoffed. "Come on Anon, you should join one, at least for your last year of high school."
You were really starting to get pissed off with Flash bugging on asking you repeatedly just to join some stupid club you didn't even want to join. A club is just a club it's not like not joining one is the end of the world. But Flash was making it seem like if you didn't join one you would be a monster.
"You're not going to shut up until I join a club, will you?" You asked as you turned to face Flash with an annoyed expression.
"Nope." Flash said with a big smile. "So what do you say? Will you join one? Or do you want me to keep on annoying you for another week straight?"
You sighed, Flash knew what he was doing and it was working on you. "Fine I'll join some stupid club, but just so that you can shut up. But I'll do it after school and if there aren't any clubs that interest me then count me out." As you started heading back to the cafeteria to get some lunch.
Flash nodded as he followed you. "That's far enough, do you need some help picking one."
You looked over at Flash like he was an idiot. "Flash do I look like I'm five years old?"
Flash smiled. You swore if you saw that stupid smile one more time you were going to punch him. "No, but you haven't chosen one yet, and most of the clubs are filled up."
"That's true, but that doesn't mean I'll need your help." You said as you rolled your eyes.
Flash just laughed it off. "Fine, fine, let's go get some lunch."
"Now, that's the smartest thing you've said all day." You said as you picked up your pace to get to the cafeteria.
As you and Flash got your lunch and went over to sit with the girls. You once again noticed that Sonata and Applejack weren't there so you guessed Sonata was sitting with Dusk Shine again. As for Applejack, you didn't know where she was, maybe she was sick and didn't come to school for the day. You saw Rainbow and Aria holding something in their hands but you couldn't see what the paper said. As you and Flash sat down you were able to see what the paper said.
'The Self-Defense club, only a few spots left.' You read off the paper, what the heck was the Self-Defense Club? And why were Aria and Rainbow looking at it?
"Flash, what the heck is a Self Defense club?" You asked as you looked over at Flash for answers.
"It's a club where you learn how to defend yourself, it specializes in Karate and Boxing. I joined it in my Sophomore year and it's actually pretty fun." Flash explained.
You nodded your head as you looked over at Aria and Rainbow. "Looks like Aria and Rainbow Dash joined it." Just then you thought of something. "Hey Flash, you never told me what club you joined?"
Flash looked up from his food. "Oh, I took up the guitar."
You smiled as you ate your food. "You always did want to take up the guitar, looks like you'll be able to actually learn it."
"You're not wrong there Anon." Flash said with a smile of his own as he finished up his food.
"I'm going to win!!!" Aria yelled.
"The only one who's going to win is me!!!" Rainbow Dash yelled back.
Twilight sighed at the two yelling girls. "Oh boy here we go again."
Adagio looked over at the two girls with an annoyed face. "Can you two for once in your life grow up and be mature."
"I don't think that's possible Adagio." Sunset said as she too looked at Rainbow and Aria.
"Let them be them, it's their way of letting each other know that they love each other." Pinkie Pie said with a big smile as she ate some candy that seemingly came out of nowhere.
"Still, it's not very woman like darling." Rarity said as she took a bite of her salad.
"Some women just like sports and fighting with each other. " Flash said shrugging his shoulders.
"Wait, Rainbow the self-defense club isn't a sports club, so why are you joining it?" Fluttershy said as she looked at her childhood friend.
That's actually not a bad question the self-defense club from what Flash says teaches you how to defend yourself, and she already joined all the sports clubs. The Self-Defense club did however have karate and boxing which are sports, and plus, it taught people how to defend themselves if they ever got into a situation where they had to fight.
"That's true, but they specialize in karate and boxing which are sports." Rainbow Dash said informing Fluttershy. You knew that was the reason why she joined that club.
"Oh, ok." Fluttershy said as she went back to eating her own salad.
"Man seeing a match between Rainbow Dash and Aria now that's something I would like to see." You said looking over at Aria and Rainbow who were staring each other down.
"My money is on Rainbow, she's the captain of every sports club that takes some serious strength." Pinkie Pie suddenly appears beside you making you jump back from the sudden jumpscare.
"Sorry Pinkie, but Aria is stronger, and plus being in a sports doesn't mean she's not got the strength to beat Rainbow Dash." Flash said. "Trust me, Aria has a mean punch to her. I learned that the hard way." Flash then held his stomach remembering the bad time.
You looked over at Flash and rolled your eyes with a smile. "And you have no one to blame but yourself. I told you going into her diary was a bad idea, but nooo, you had other ideas." You then started laughing as you remembered Flash getting punched in the stomach. You heard a small 'hey' from Flash but you didn't care.
Thankfully the bell rang, and you were glad, now you didn't need to hear any more bickering between Aria and Rainbow Dash. As you headed out of the cafeteria with Flash you started to think about the Self-Defense Club, now which was a club that caught your interest.
The rest of the day went by pretty quickly, and just like you told Flash, the two of you headed to the list of clubs that the school had. Once you got there you could only see a few clubs left with spaces. As you read the list you saw the Self-Defense Club still had a few spots left. You looked at who entered the club, Rainbow Dash and Aria not a surprise. Dusk Shine, Blueblood, and Sunset now they were a surprise to you.
"Hey Flash, did you know that Dusk Shine and Sunset entered the Self-Defense club?" You asked looking at some of the other's names in the club. You saw Snips and Snails, now they were going to get killed in there.
"Yeah, Sunset's been in that club since Freshman year, as for Dusk Shine he's been in that club since Sophomore year. Dusk Shine has actually been the Champion for the past two years now." Flash said as he looked down at his phone.
'Champion for the past two years huh.' You didn't know much about karate or boxing but you did know one thing, you were going to dethrone the Dusk Shine and become Champion. You took out a pen and wrote your name on the sign-up sheet with confidence.
"You're going to enter the Self Defense club??" Flash asked you.
"You bet, I'm going to beat Dusk Shine and become Champion." You said with confidence. Your main goal was to defeat Dusk Shine no matter what.
"Well, I wish you good luck, Anon." Flash said with a smile as you smiled back at him.
"Hi Flash, Hi Anon!" A voice called out.
You could tell whose voice that was without even having to turn around. As you turned around you saw Sonata running towards you and Flash with a smile. Behind her was her boyfriend Dusk Shine walking with his friend Blueblood.
"Hi Sonata, how are you." You said as you smiled at her.
"I'm good, what are you guys doing by the club list?" Sonata asked as she had her hand behind her back.
"Anon just joined the Self Defense club." Flash said as he put you in a bro-hug.
That caught Dusk Shine's and Blueblood's attention. Once Flash said that they stopped talking with each other and looked at you with a confused expression.
"That's awesome, you're actually going to join a club this year. Dusky is also in that club maybe you two will face off, My boyfriend and my best friend that would be a match to see." Sonata said with a bright smile.
"Anon actually joined the club just to face off with Dusk Shine and become Champion." Flash said giving you away. You glared at him as Dusk Shine walks up and looks down at you and smiles.
"Oh, is he now?" Dusk Shine said as he looked down at you. He was taller than you by a bit so he had to look down at you.
You smirked as you stared right into his eyes. "Yep, first it'll be Sunset, then your next."
Dusk Shine smiled. "Well I wish you good luck, your gonna need it."
You crossed your arms. "Thanks, but I won't need it as much as you think."
You looked at him and he looked at you. If looks could kill both of you would have been dead. Tension filled the air with how you two were looking at each other. Neither one of you wanted to let go of the intense stare-down that was going on. But after a while, it ended at the sound of Sonata laughing.
"Well, that would be nice to see a match between two people I care for." Her attention then turned to Dusk Shine. "come on Dusk Shine we better go, we'll see you guys later, bye Flash, bye Anon." Sonata said as she waved goodbye.
"Bye, Sonata, bye Dusk Shine." You and Flash both said as you two waved goodbye.
"Come on Anon let's get going, I'll tell you everything about Dusk Shine and Sunset when I was in the Self Defense club." Flash said as he started to leave.
"Thanks, Flash, let's get going." You said as you followed him.
As you two headed out of the school, you listened to what Flash had to tell you, all you could think about was the Self-Defense club. You wondered what the club would be like, and if you were actually gonna like it. Dusk Shine and Sunset, two people you would have to defeat in order to become Champion. Along with people like Rainbow and Aria, it would be hard, but you were confident.
Only time will tell if you could be able to defeat them all and become Champion.
You and Flash were in your room as Flash was giving you information about Sunset and Dusk Shine. He had already told you about what to expect at the Self-Defense club. From what you were hearing the teacher was a special guest. You didn't have a clue who the special guest could be but it didn't matter and Flash being like how he always was, wasn't telling you who the special person was. All you cared about was wanting to know how to take down Sunset and Dusk Shine, or anyone else that could be a problem to you.
"Hey, so Flash, do you know what Sunset's or Dusk Shine's specializes in or what their weaknesses are?" You asked. You were hoping that Flash could at least give you some facts about them.
"If you were to face off with Sunset she most likely does karate then boxing, as for Dusk Shine he'll do boxing then karate." Flash said.
"Are they just bad at the other subject or do they just like the other subject more." You asked confused as to why they only did one of the two. "I mean, if they teach both karate and boxing why just do one?"
"Sunset's tactics is that first she defends to waste all your stamina by attacking her then she'll attack you." Flash said. "She did that on me once and she got the better of me. I was only able to beat her once, Sunset is strong so be careful of her."
"So she more of a defensive person?" You asked. As you thought about it, her plan was pretty smart. Make the person waste their stamina by attacking and then when they tire themselves out she attacks and wins with ease.
"Yep, so if you face off with her don't attack at first let her come to you." Flash said. "Let her come to you, not the other way around."
"So as for Dusk Shine?" You asked. He was the one you most wanted to know, anything you got about him would be helpful.
"As for Dusk Shine, he likes to dominate his opponents by attacking them." Flash said. "He beats his opponents with powers. No tricks, no nothing, just power."
"So if I face Dusk Shine I defend?" You asked. What Flash had told you wasn't exactly what you wanted to hear.
Flash shook his head. "Not necessarily, he defeated Sunset and she tried to defend against him."
"He beat Sunset?" You asked. You were surprised that he had beaten Sunset.
"Yep, it was Sophomore year, the finals were between Sunset and Dusk Shine. Sunset was the current champion v.s Dusk Shine who was the challenger. Dusk Shine won the match three to one. He took down his opponents in a matter of seconds and it's been like that since Sophomore." Flash said. "Dusk Shine is strong, and has been defeated for years."
"So he doesn't have a weakness?" You asked. You sighed, how could you beat someone who didn't have a weakness?
"Everyone has a weakness Anon, we just haven't found him yet." Flash said as he put a hand on your shoulder.
Well, that was useful... sort of. You know how to take on Sunset if you face her, but as for Dusk Shine you didn't have a clue. Well, you always did like a challenge, this was just going to be one of the harder challenges you've had to face.
"Hey, so Anon can I ask you a question?" Flash asked as he looked at you.
You looked over at Flash. "Sure what is it."
Flash tilted his head as he looked at you. "Why did you want to join the Self Defense club anyways?"
"To take down Sunset and Dusk Shine, to become champion." You said with confidence. What you weren't going to tell Flash that what you said was a white lie. You did want to defeat Sunset and Dusk Shine but you also wanted to impress Sonata.
"Any other reasons?" Flash asked as he looked at you suspiciously.
You looked at Flash confused. "No... why?"
"Anon I know you better than anyone, you entered the Self Defense club so that you could impress Sonata." Flash smirked. You looked at Flash surprised, how did he know?
"W-What?" You said. You couldn't believe it, Flash knew? Were you so obvious that even someone like Flash could tell?
"Don't lie, I see how you look at her, all I want to know is how long have you liked her?" Flash asked crossing his arms.
"I-I don't know what you're talking about." You said as you accidentally stuttered. Flash stared at you as you looked away from him.
"Either you tell me or I tell Sonata you like her." Flash said. You glared at him but you could tell he was serious.
"Are you blackmailing me?" You asked looking at Flash surprised that he actually did something smart.
"Yes, yes I am." Flash said with a smirk.
You sighed, you couldn't say no when Flash was blackmailing you. "Fine, yes I like Sonata. How did you know, I thought I was hiding it pretty well." You looked at Flash wondering how he knew.
Flash shook his head. "Nope, not really it was pretty obvious. I think the others know about it too."
You rolled your eyes. "Great so everyone knows, wait, does Sonata know?"
Flash thought about it for a second. "That I don't know, from the way she is I don't think so. I mean she's not the smartest tool in the box."
"As long as she doesn't know I think I'll be fine. But I'm not trying to impress her, honest. I really do want to beat Sunset and Dusk Shine." You said seriously.
Flash nodded his head. "I believe you, I just want to know the story of how you started to like Sonata."
"If I tell you will you tell Sonata?" You asked as you looked at Flash suspiciously.
"Nope, cross my heart, hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye." Flash said repeating the Pinkie promise. "And you know I can't tell her now or I'll never hear the end of it from Pinkie Pie."
He wasn't wrong the last time someone broke a Pinkie promise, which was Rainbow Dash, you had never seen Pinkie so mad before. You could never forget the way Pinkie behaved, she was so scared that she made Rainbow wet herself in fear of her. She was scarier than your mom and dad when they get mad. If Flash told Sonata he would have to face off with a sycophantic Pinkie Pie.
You sighed, you had to tell Flash, he was your bro. "Fine, it was after Sonata asked Dusk Shine, was when I found out that I liked Sonata."
"So you've liked Sonata for six years now!!" Flash yelled.
"Yep, and it's only grown since then, but I guess as long as she's happy I'm happy." You said shrugging your shoulders.
"Well, I don't know what to tell you but all I can say is good luck." Flash said as he smiled at you.
You rolled your eyes. "Real helpful Flash, as if I couldn't see you looking at Sunset lately."
Flash looked over at you surprised. "Wow, first off what do want me to say? And second, I don't like Sunset."
You smiled as you rolled your eyes for what felt like the hundredth time today. "Sure... whatever you say, anyways have you ever faced off with Sunset or Dusk Shine." You said trying to change the subject.
"I faced off with Dusk Shine but I lost to him in the semi-finals. As for Sunset, we've only had training battles, I won a small amount of the time." Flash said as she scratched the back of his head.
"Is there anyone else other than Sunset and Dusk Shine I should worry about?" You asked him. You hated to admit it but Flash was your best chance right now to know anything about Sunset or Dusk Shine.
"Blueblood could be somewhat of a challenge. Also now that Aria and Rainbow Dash entered they could give you a run for your money." Flash said as he thought about anyone else that could be a problem.
You nodded your head at what Flash said. "Do you know what Blueblood's specializes in?"
Flash nodded his head. "Blueblood attacks first then he defends."
"What kind of strategy is that?" You asked. You had never seen a strategy like that before, who attacks and then goes on the defense?
Flash shrugged his shoulders. "I don't really know but it confuses his opponents which helps him win a lot of his battles."
"So he attacks then out of nowhere he starts to defend?" You asked. You couldn't believe a strategy like that could help Blueblood win battles.
"Hey it worked, he made it all the way to the semi-finals due to that strategy." Flash said surprising you.
"So do you think I stand a good chance at winning?" You asked, you needed to know if Flash thought you had a chance or not.
Flash thought about it. "Well you don't have as much experience as the others but I think you could stand a good chance if you don't face them."
You smiled as you thought about it. "Hey, I'm a fast learner I'll catch on quickly."
"You may be a fast learner I'll admit that but, all I'm saying is that they have more experience and technique than you." Flash spoke his mind.
"Yeah, but I know their techniques so I have the advantage against them." You said with a smirk.
"Don't get too cocky now Anon, you don't want to lose immediately." Flash said warning you.
"I'm not getting cocky." You told him. "I just think having experience and techniques aren't everything, you could get lucky."
"What are you talking about Anon?" Flash asked as he looked at you confused.
You shrugged. "They could mess up or make a wrong play. One wrong move could be the match. Just because they have experience doesn't make them undefeatable. You just have to have some faith."
"I guess you got a point." Flash said nodding his head.
You checked what time it was, you hadn't noticed but it was getting late. Time sure does fly when you're talking to your friends.
"Hey Flash, you want to spend the night?" You asked.
"Sure, let me just call my mom to let her know." Flash said as he stood up to call his mom.
As Flash left the room you couldn't lie and say what Flash said was wrong. He was right having experience and technique was important. Dusk Shine and Sunset weren't beginners they had far more experience than you. They weren't going to be a walk in the park, you were going to have to train twice as hard if you wanted to stand a chance against them. Even Aria and Rainbow Dash will be hard to take down they had far more confidence than you. It wasn't like you didn't have confidence, just not as much as Aria or Rainbow.
Sunset had three years prior of experience and Dusk Shine as Flash has said doesn't have a weakness. Blueblood had an interesting strategy, Aria and Rainbow even though they don't have the experience have gotten into fights with other students that were messing around with Fluttershy. Even though Rainbow and Aria were outnumbered the match was heavily one-sided with Aria and Rainbow barely breaking a sweat. If you had any hope of winning before it was slowly disappearing.
Flash walked back into your room with a sleeping bag and two bowls of popcorn. He most likely got them from your mom.
"My mom said it was fine, your mom gave me the sleeping bag and she made popcorn for us." Flash said as he handed you a bowl.
You took the bowl and grabbed a handful of popcorn. "Thanks, you need some spare pj's?"
"It doesn't matter, I can sleep in my clothes." Flash said as he sat back down.
"On a school night? You're gonna sleep in your clothes that you'll have to wear tomorrow?" You said. Flash was something else if he was really about to do that.
Flash shook his head. "I'll just borrow some of your clothes for tomorrow."
"Yeah, no thanks, take one of my pj's." You said as you got up to go to your closet.
"Alright, give me a sec, then we can watch a movie." Flash said as he too got up.
Flash may be your friend but you weren't going to let him wear your clothes to school. You looked for a good movie to watch but you couldn't see one that you both could like, especially since Flash was picky with his movies.
As you pressed play on the movie you started to think about everything. You were really starting to doubt if you could win. But all you could think of was one thing.
Were you really capable of actually defeating Sunset and Dusk Shine?
It was finally time for the day that people start their clubs. This was going to be your first time ever going to a club before. Even in middle school, you didn't join a club. It would've stayed like that too if someone, Flash, wasn't so annoying and let you have your freedom. However, the good thing about the Self-Defense Club was that you weren't going to be alone so that was something to be glad about that. From what Flash had told you the Self-Defense Club started right after lunch.
Your day went by in a blink of an eye. Before you knew it you were at lunch eating with Flash and the gang. Sonata once again wasn't at your table, it's been like that for almost two months but as long as she was happy you were happy. You could already hear Aria and Rainbow arguing with each other about who was better, that was starting to become a normal routine they had.
AJ and Flash were having an eating contest and Flash was severely losing. Adagio was doing Fluttershy's hair, while Pinkie Pie was telling Rarity a joke she had made up. As for you and Sunset, she was telling you about her time in the Self-Defense club. You wanted to know as much as you could before you started the club.
As the lunch bell rang you headed out with Sunset. Aria and Rainbow were having a race to see who could make it to the gym first. While you and Sunset walked to the gym, when the two of you walked into the gym you noticed a lot of things in a matter of seconds.
There were a lot of people in the gym, more than a normal club had. You saw Blueblood and Dusk Shine talking with what you guessed were their friends. Aria and Rainbow were doing push-ups, probably see who could do the most push-ups challenge. Bulk Biceps was also there talking to some of the way smaller people probably scaring them in the process. But what caught your attention the most was that both Snips and Snails were in this class.
"Have there always been this many people that enter this class?" You asked Sunset.
"Yup, but most people do it just to look cool. Snips and Snails have been in this class since Junior year. If you were to face off with them you'd probably win." Sunset said.
So only a handful of people actually join the club to learn how to defend themselves. As you scanned the room you could already guess who joined the club to learn and who joined to look good. And from what you saw more than half looked like they joined the club to just look good.
"Can I have your attention please!!" A voice yelled.
That voice! It couldn't be, could it? As you turned around you saw it. 'I guess this was the special teacher Flash was talking about.' Vice principal Luna was in the room with a black gi on. Out of all people you would've never expected Luna to be the teacher. You looked at Sunset and she was smiling, she must have known what you were thinking cause she gave you a headshake. You looked back to see Vice Principal Luna to see what she had to say.
"In this class, you will learn how to defend yourself, anyone who entered this class to just mess around will be severely punished! You will not call me Vice Principal, you will call me your Master. Do I make myself clear!?" Luna asked everyone.
"Yes ma'am!!" Everyone yelled.
Luna nodded. "Good! I want everyone to get a karate gi of their size then I want you on the mats."
As you headed to get a gi you saw two colors of outfits. Black and white. Did it matter which one it was? As you watched everyone but a few like Dusk Shine and Sunset got a black gi.
"Does it matter what color it is?" You asked Sunset.
"The white gi's are for newer people. The black gi's are for more advanced people." Sunset said as she put on her gi.
"You think I could wear a black gi like you?" You asked as you grabbed your gi.
Sunset smiled at you. "You probably are a black belt Anon, you just have to prove to Luna that you are worthy of having a black gi."
You smiled back at Sunset. "Thanks, Sunset."
At least someone had confidence in you. As you went to the changing rooms, you got out of your normal clothes for your white gi. As you looked in the mirror you saw yourself in gi, you had to say you looked good in it. Once you got out of the locker room you got onto the mats which Luna must have taken out when everyone was changing.
"Today we will be sparing with each other. Get a partner and train with them today!" Luna ordered.
As you looked around you saw people getting with a partner. You were looking for a certain person but you couldn't find them. It took you a while but you found her. Sunset Shimmer. You wanted to see if you could stand a chance against Sunset for right now.
"Sunset you want to be my partner?" You asked Sunset.
Sunset nodded. "Sure, no one else wants to partner with me."
You and Sunset went to one of the many mats in the middle of the room to spare. Sunset went to one side and you went to the other. You saw Aria and Rainbow already fighting with each other, and Aria currently had Rainbow Dash in a chokehold but Rainbow wasn't going to lose so easily.
"I'll go easy on you Anon." Sunset said as she got ready.
"Do whatever you want Sunset." You said with a smirk.
Now if you remember correctly Flash said that Sunset like to defend herself so that her enemies come to her. But since your new, will she still defend or attack? The smart thing would be not to attack her and wait for her to come to you as Flash said.
"Ready, Anon?" Sunset asked.
"Yup." You said with a smile. You two both then bow to each other to show that you're both ready.
Sunset did as Flash said going on the defensive and waited for you to make a move. You stayed completely still not falling for the trap. She would have to come to you if she wanted to beat you. Sunset saw what you were doing so she decided to come to you. Something played in your mind about Sunset. 'Sunset normally does kicks rather than punches.' It was something Flash had told you. Time went slow for you, you saw Sunset start to throw her leg at you. Before she can kick you, you grab her leg mid-way. You then quickly moved your foot to trip her making her fall on her back.
Sunset was on the ground. You actually made Sunset the second strongest fighter at this school fall on the ground. Even Sunset was surprised she obviously didn't expect you to do that.
"You having fun down there Sunset." You said looking down at her.
"How did you do that?" Sunset asked looking up at you.
"That's my little secret, that was a good match." You said as you handed her a hand.
"You got lucky, Anon." Sunset said as she took your hand and stood back up.
"I think someone is just salty they lost to a newbie." You said with a smirk.
Sunset rolled her eyes. "Whatever, anyways if you're this good already you have a chance at being a black gi."
"Anon!!" Luna yelled.
You turn to face Vice Principal Luna. "Yes, Vice Prin- I mean Master Luna."
"I saw that match with Sunset, I got to say that was a good strategy. I didn't expect you to knock down one of my strongest kids on your first day. Are you sure you haven't done this before?" asked Luna looking at you suspiciously.
You nodded your head. "I promise Master Luna this is my first time. I just knew what Sunset was going to do."
Sunset looked at you confused. "But how, you've never seen me fight before."
You smiled. Boy was Sunset going to get mad. "Your right, but Flash has."
"He gave you some advice didn't he?" Sunset asked with a blank stare.
"Yes, yes he did." You said with a smile.
"I'll have to yell at him later for that." Sunset said as she had a frown on her face.
The funny thing was that she probably was going to actually yell at him. Luna went away to go see what her other students were up to. The only way you had won against Sunset was because Flash told you. If Flash hadn't told you, you probably would have lost. It didn't feel like a true win, but a win is a win you guessed.
"Ready for another round, Anon?" Sunset asked as she hopped up and down ready for a rematch.
"You bet, Sunset." You said as you got ready for whatever she did.
It went on like that for the rest of the class. Sunset was a good challenge for you. She won some matches and you actually won a few. Before the class ended you went back to changing rooms to change back into your normal clothes. As you were heading out of the gym Luna called you before your next class.
"What do you need Master Luna?" You asked looking up at Luna.
"From what I saw today by your performance, you may have a black gi in no time." Luna said. "I expect to see you tomorrow, I have high expectations from you Anon."
"Thank you, Master Luna, it means a lot." You said as you bowed at her.
As you headed out of the gym you felt confident. Your first day at the Self-Defense Club was a success. You had one-upped Sunset and you got praised by Luna. You weren't able to face off with Dusk Shine but at the same time, you didn't want to face him yet. You wanted to catch Dusk Shine off guard just like you did with Sunset.
You had a different plan first get a black gi, then beat Sunset, and finally, take down Dusk Shine to become champion. Would you be able to do it? Only time will tell.
It had been a week since you had first joined the Self-Defense club. You had trained with Sunset for most of the week, but you did do a little sparing with Aria and Rainbow. They were also a good match for you and it was always a nice challenge against them. Spring break was right around the corner and you were looking forward to it. One whole week of not going to school now was always a good thing.
You were currently at the Self-Defense club having a very intense match with Aria. She had just tried to hit you with a right hook which would have hurt if you hadn't dodged it. Neither of you was letting down your guard as you both wanted to win. You had actually caught on to Aria's strategy, you were just waiting for her to fall for the trap. Normally Aria once a battle does an uppercut then she kicks you when you least expect it. You were going to trick her into thinking she hit the uppercut but really you dodge it last second. Then when she tries to kick you, you do exactly the same thing you did to Sunset.
And just then the moment you were waiting for had finally arrived. Aria goes for the uppercut, and by a split second, you dodge it making it look like you got hit. Aria kicks you or at least tried to, you caught her leg and you trip her making her fall to the ground. She had fallen for your trap card.
"That was a good match Aria." You said as you handed her a hand.
She looked up at you with a smile as she took your hand. "You to Anon, I didn't expect that."
As Aria got up you looked back to see Rainbow and Sunset also in a very intense match. Sunset was currently attacking a tired Rainbow Dash. 'Guess Rainbow fell for Sunset's trap' As you were looking at them a whistle went off. It was Luna whistling her bell to tell everyone that class was almost over. Changing out of your gi you head to your last class of the day before spring break. As you head to your final class you ran into Flash.
"Hey, Anon, what's up?" Flash asked giving you a wave.
"Nothing much headed to class." You said as you waved back.
Flash nodded his head. "Hey, so I asked the others but do you want to go to the beach later?"
"Who are the others?" You asked looking at him.
"Sunset, Adagio, Aria, Sonata, and Twilight. It'll be the old days, just the seven of us." Flash said with a smile.
You smiled. "Old days? I ain't that old. But yeah sure, I'll come. It's been a while since it's just been the seven of us."
Flash smiled. "Awesome, I'll come to pick you up at 4:30. We're going to stay at a hotel so bring some money just in case."
You rolled your eyes. "Yes, dad." You said sarcastically.
As you headed to class with Flash you started to think about the beach. It had actually been a long time since you went to the beach with Flash and the others. A year or two you think. It had been even longer since you, Flash, and the five girls hung out with each. With it either being because of Sonata hanging out with Dusk Shine or the other five were around, it hasn't been just the seven of you since middle school.
Before you knew it your final class went by in a flash. You walked home with Flash to get your stuff for the beach. You had already called your mom telling her about the plan and thankfully she said it was fine just as long as you stay safe, which you would. You knew she was going to say yes but it was good to at least call her to let her know. You went into your room to pack your things for a fun time at the beach.
You still had a while before Flash came to pick you up so you just decided to waste time by playing some video games and watching some videos. You hadn't paid attention but before you knew it, it was 4:30. You picked up your bag and headed to Flash's car. As you got in the car you saw Sunset and Twilight in the back. 'Guess Flash picked them up on the way here'
"Hey, guys." You said as you entered the car.
"Hey Anon, how are you?" Sunset asked.
"Ready to go to the beach and chill." As you put on your seatbelt.
"I think we all are Anon." Twilight said.
The drive to the beach wasn't a long one in fact it was pretty short with how Flash drives. It wasn't like he was a bad driver it's just that like his name he goes by in a flash. You guys were supposed to meet the others at the beach since they left before you. As you guys started to unload your supplies you finally found the others thanks to Adagio's big hair. You waved your hand to get their attention which they saw. You didn't see it at first but when they got closer you saw it or should you say him. Dusk Shine was with them, and Flash saw it too.
"I thought this was just the seven of us." You said looking over at him.
"So did I, guess Sonata had other ideas." Flash said as he rolled his eyes a bit upset.
It wasn't like Dusk Shine being there was a problem. You just thought it was just going to be the seven of you. Out of all five girls Sonata was the one with the least amount of skin showing. Even Twilight had more skin showing. Adagio and Aria had a two-piece bikini. Adagio's was black and Aria's being purple. You had actually caught Flash looking at Sunset. You were going to have to tease him about it later.
"Hey, guys." Aria said waving to you guys.
"Hi, Anon." Sonata said coming up to you and giving you a hug.
"Hello, Sonata." You said as you hugged her back.
Aria then walked over to you guys. "Sorry we're late, we would have been here early but someone had to stall the bathroom." As she looked over at Adagio.
"Well, it is my job, to look my best." Adagio said as she flipped her hair.
'Normal Adagio actions.' You thought as you rolled your eyes.
"Hey Flash, Anon, want to have a swimming race?" Dusk Shine asked as he came over to you and Flash.
You nodded your head. "I'm in, what about you Flash?"
Flash smiled. "You know, I could never say no."
Dusk Shine smirked. "One whole lap across the beach and back."
"Ok." You and Flash said.
The water wasn't that cold. In fact, it was pretty good, the perfect temperature to swim in. Dusk Shine and Flash looked at each other and back at you. You understood what they were doing so you nodded your head. And with that, the race was on. You were a fast swimmer so you were able to keep up with them. The race was a close one but sadly you came in second. Coming right after Dusk Shine by a second, then Flash coming right behind you in last place.
"Good race, almost had me Anon." Dusk Shine said as he looked back at you.
"You too Dusk Shine, next time, however. I'll be the one winning." You said with a smirk.
As Flash got out of the water you could see Dusk Shine looking at his phone. He started to head back to the girls which were looking at something Sonata was showing them. Probably a seashell or something on her phone.
"Where you going, Dusk Shine?" Flash asked looking over at Dusk Shine.
"I'm going to check us into the hotel before it's too late." Dusk Shine said as he headed over to the hotel.
"Good idea, you need some money?" Flash asked as he pulled out his wallet.
Dusk Shine shook his head. "No, I'm good. I'll be back in a while."
Flash nodded his head. "Ok see you."
It had been a few minutes since Dusk Shine had left to go to the hotel. You and Flash were in the water having another race with one another. As the girls were chatting in the sun getting tanned. Knowing them they probably weren't even going to get in the water. You and Flash had decided to have one final race to see who was the better swimmer for the day. As you guys were doing your final lap you heard a scream. You and Flash both stopped and looked at each other.
"Did you hear that?" Flash asked you.
"Yeah, I thought I was hearing things." You said as you looked at him.
"Where it did come from?" Flash asked you. You shrugged your shoulders and looked around. Was someone drowning? Getting attacked?
Where did it come from was a good question. There were a ton of people on the beach so it could've been anyone. Heck, it could've been a kid screaming just out of fun and not in fear. And it obviously wasn't out at sea because the lifeguard would've been there. So it was on shore but who yelled? It was a girl screaming, a loud one at it, you and Flash were maybe thirty feet away from shore and you guys heard it.
"Should we head back to shore?" Flash asked looking over at you.
You nodded. "We probably should. Our race we have to continue tomorrow."
As you and Flash headed back to shore all you could think about was who was the one that screamed. Once you and Flash got on land you saw the girls looking at something on the ground. It wasn't until you got closer was when you saw it. It wasn't some THING they were looking at, it was some ONE. Sonata was on her back in her bikini laying on the ground passed out. The girls looked like they had just seen a ghost.
"What the heck happened!?" Flash yelled as he ran over.
Sunset looked at him stressed, probably because she was worried for Sonata. "We don't know one second we were all talking and the next second Sonata passes out?"
You looked at Sonata in fear, you couldn't believe this was happening. You then turned your attention to Sunset. "Was it due to dehydration? It is pretty hot out today."
"That's what we thought so we poured some water on her. It wasn't until we took off her shirt was when we found something else out." Adagio said as she looked down at the sand, an unreadable expression on her face.
"What is it?" You and Flash asked looking at her.
As the girls turn Sonata around you and Flash see a truly horrific scene. Bruises, cuts, burn marks, and scars all of her back. That must have been the scream you and Flash heard. It was one of the girls screaming because of Sonata! Sonata always said she would get hurt on accident but this, this wasn't just any normal fall down the stairs. This was on purpose! But who would do this to Sonata?
"How did this happen to her?" Flash asked angrily.
Aria turned to Flash. "How are we supposed to know, she's never told us about this."
"Do you think we should take her back to the hotel?" Twilight asked.
"Sure, but where's Dusk Shine?" Sunset asked as she looked around for him.
Good question where was Dusk Shine? He never came back from the hotel and that was almost half an hour ago. Did something happen to him on the way?
"Me and Flash will look for him. You girls take Sonata back to the hotel." You said as you and Flash picked up your belongings.
"Alright, we'll call you if we see Dusk Shine." Adagio said as she and the girls picked up their things.
With that, you and Flash headed out to find Dusk Shine while the girls went to help Sonata. You had to find Dusk Shine to tell him about Sonata.
You and Flash had already run all over the beach. It had been about ten minutes since you and Flash had left the girls to deal with Sonata as you two went to go find Dusk Shine. In that time you had gone to Flash's car, checked all the bathrooms, and even tried calling Dusk Shine but he wasn't answering his phone. And sadly the hunt to find him was unsuccessful. The only other place left that you hadn't checked was in the hotel where Dusk Shine said he was going. Now unless Dusk Shine got lost which he shouldn't have because you can't miss a big building that literally says in big words "Hotel" he should be at the hotel.
"Do you think Sonata is better?" asked Flash as he looked at you.
You sighed, you didn't know. You could only hope she was. "I don't know but hopefully she is."
"If Dusk Shine isn't in the hotel where do you think he could be?" Flash asked.
You looked over at Flash. "Hey, we haven't even checked the hotel yet so he could be there. And if he ain't there then we call the police and tell them that our friend is missing."
Flash nodded his head. "Okay, so what's the plan when we get to the hotel?"
You thought of a plan. "Alright, you go to our room, and I'll look everywhere else for him. We'll meet up at the lobby if we don't find him."
Flash nodded at your plan. "Okay, I'll call you if I find him."
"Okay." That was all that you said. You were already freaking out prior due to Sonata, then Dusk Shine being not seen for almost an hour now was causing you to stress out.
You and Flash had just arrived at the hotel. Flash went to the lobby desk to ask for your guy's hotel number, while you waited for him by the elevator.
"They said our room was number 202 on the second floor." Flash said as he came back with a key to the room.
You nodded. "Okay, I'll check all that floor, then proceed from there." As both, you and Flash then walked into the elevator. The trip up the elevator was silent as both you and Flash had a mission to do.
Once the elevator doors opened you and Flash ran out of the elevator. Flash went to the left while you headed to the right. You had to find Dusk Shine then you could get to Sonata's aid faster. The only problem was you didn't know where he could be, there were a lot of rooms in the hotel. Calling his number for the tenth time and going straight to voice mail you started to get annoyed. So what about Dusk Shine? He wasn't really your friend, more like an acquaintance, Sonata was far more important than him. But once Sonata woke up she would probably begin to wonder where her boyfriend was. Were you jealous of Dusk Shine, yes, yes you were. Jealous because she loved him and not you. Jealous because he had her and you didn't. You were only going to find Dusk Shine because of Sonata not because you wanted to.
It felt as though you had walked the whole second floor for the fifth time. And still, there was no sign of Dusk Shine anywhere, and Flash hadn't called you yet so he probably was having the same luck as you were having. Having enough you decided to head back down to the lobby. You had already texted Flash about the news and he had said the same. As you were walking you heard people talking. You didn't know why but you decided to just take a look. Once you peeked around the corner you saw Dusk Shine! But he wasn't alone, because right in front of him was Trixie, or as she likes to say "The Great and Powerful Trixie."
"I had a good time let's do it again." Trixie said with a smile.
"Why not do it again tonight?" Dusk Shine said with a smirk. "We can meet up at 10:00 just you and me."
Trixie smirked. "Sure, I'll have my door open for you."
Dusk Shine smiled. "I'll be looking forward to it. I got to go but I'll see you later."
"See you then Dusky." Trixie said with a big smile.
You heard that... all of it. Trixie and Dusk Shine were planning a "get-together" but for you, it sounded like a date. You couldn't believe Dusk Shine would go behind Sonata's back like that. Ironic, once he's gone from Sonata he does this! You were so angry with Dusk Shine, you just wanted to go over there and punch him. But at the same time, you didn't have solid proof that they did anything or that it was a date. You would have done it too but Flash started to call you.
"Hello." You said once the phone picked up.
"Hey Anon, have you found Dusk Shine yet?" Flash asked over the phone.
"No." You lied. "I'm guessing you haven't found him either have you."
"No, I think we should call the police." Flash said.
You thought about it. "No, let's keep looking for at least one more hour. Then we call the police, who knows maybe he's with the girls."
You heard Flash sigh over the phone. "Fine one more hour then we call. But he's not with the girls I'm with them."
"Oh, okay. I'll keep looking, how's Sonata doing?" You asked.
"Better than she was doing before, but she's still kinda sick." You heard that Flash's voice sounded different. He was probably happy that Sonata was doing better.
You nodded. "That's good to hear, I'll call if I find Dusk. See you Flash."
"Okay, see you Anon." Flash said as the phone hung up.
You kept looking at Dusk Shine and Trixie, they were still talking about later tonight. Odd, just last week you had overheard him tell Blueblood just how annoying Trixie was and that her magic wasn't even that good. Something wasn't right. You were perplexed was he her friend or not? About five minutes later Trixie and Dusk Shine hugged and head their own ways. He was headed your way so you decided to use your acting skills. You went back a little down the hall and started to walk toward him making it seem like you had run into him.
You then run and bumped into him. "Dusk Shine! There you are! We've been looking for you all over the place."
Dusk Shine looked down at you surprised. "Oh, you have sorry I was talking to a friend."
Odd, he wasn't being reluctant about it. Maybe they were just friends or he was just lying through his teeth classic. Oh well, now you can finally see how Sonata's doing.
You nodded your head. "That's fine, by the way, Sonata passed out so we tried to find you. She's gotten better but she's still not doing good."
"She passed out? She'll be okay though right?" Dusk Shine said sounding concerned.
"From what Flash told me she's getting better. But she's not at a hundred percent, she also had bruises and cuts all over her back. Do you know anything about that?" You asked him wondering if he knew anything although you felt as though he already knew.
"She had bruises and cuts on her back? She never told me anything about them. Did she hurt herself on accident again?" Dusk Shine asked genuinely looking confused.
You shook your head. "No, they look like someone made them with intention and were consistent in doing it to her. The marks look as though they've been there for a while now too."
"Are you insinuating that my girlfriend is being attacked and I didn't know anything about it?" Dusk Shine asked raising his eyebrow.
"Guess so." You said looking dead into his eyes.
"Anon!! Dusk Shine!!" Flash yelled.
You and Dusk Shine turn around to see Flash running toward you guys. He looked as though he was running as if his life was on the line.
"What's wrong Flash?" You asked looking at him worried. Flash never yelled no matter what Flash was always cool and calm.
"It's Sonata! She's gotten worse! We had to call for an ambulance and it's currently on its way to the hotel." Flash said pointing toward the lobby.
"Well, what are waiting for? Let's go!" Dusk Shine yelled as he then ran to the lobby.
As you three ran down the halls to the lobby you started to hear sirens nearby. Flash wasn't kidding it had gotten worse. When you three walked into the lobby there was puke on the floor probably because Sonata had thrown up and she was sweating like a fat man at a gym. Workers were making sure she was ok as she just sat on a bench looking like a zombie. She was in the lobby barely awake and looking very pale, as the ambulance people had just gotten there. They took out their stretcher and put her on it.
Adagio and Aria looked as though they were about to cry while Sunset and Twilight didn't look any better. Flash and Dusk Shine opened the doors for the ambulance people. While you, you just looked on. Sonata would have to go to the hospital. You yourself felt sick, everything felt as though it was spinning. You could only hope for the best, and just wait for Sonata to get better.
Dusk Shine said he had no idea about the cuts or bruises. So that means someone else must have done it and threatened her to not say anything? Or it was him and he was just lying. Nobody had known about the bruises and you could only feel as though it was your fault. You should have seen she was hurt or something. But instead, you just believed her like an idiot. Whoever did that to Sonata you will find them no matter what and they WILL pay for what they had done to her.
'Sonata please get better, there are too many people that care about you' You thought as you looked at her getting put in the ambulance and to the hospital.
Needless to say about what had happened to Sonata, you guys decided to leave the beach for the day. Adagio and Aria had already called their parents to tell them what had happened with Sonata at the beach. To say their parents were worried would be an understatement. They were going absolutely berserk, yelling, shouting, and crying could be heard from Adagio's phone. The reaction was nothing more than what you had guessed from their parents.
Flash had already dropped you off at your house and had taken the girls home. You still couldn't shake off what you had overheard from Dusk Shine and Trixie. They were planning something tonight but what? You should probably tell someone what you saw and overheard, but who? Flash would most likely be the best candidate. You pulled out your phone as you started to dial Flash's number.
"Hello?" Flash said as he picked up the phone.
"Hey, Flash. I got to talk to you when will you get back?" You asked.
"I just dropped off Sunset at her place. I'm on my way back right now. Why what's up?" Flash asked.
You sighed. "Just meet me at my place I'll tell you when you get here."
"Oh, ok. Will it just be me and you? Or will there be other's there with us?" You could tell Flash was confused, but you needed him to be there to explain everything.
"It'll just be you and me." You then thought about it. "And maybe Aria and Adagio too if they can make it."
You heard the sound of Flash's car revving up. "Okay, I'll be there as soon as possible."
As he hangs up the phone you start to wonder if you should call Aria and Adagio or not. Sonata was their sister and Dusk Shine was her boyfriend. But at the same time, they should probably have some time with their family after everything that had happened. It was worth a shot though. So you took out your phone and you started to dial Adagio's number.
Almost immediately she picked up the phone. "Hey, Adagio. I got to talk to you about something. You think you and Aria can come over?"
"Oh hey, Anon. Yeah sure, let me just tell my parents and get Aria." Adagio said.
"Okay, I'll see you in a bit." You said as you hang up the phone.
Once you got off the phone with Adagio the doorbell went off. It was most likely Flash. With the way, he drives and since Sunset's house isn't that far from yours it wasn't that long of a drive. You head to the door you look out the window to see Flash talking to someone. You open the door it was Flash but Aria was also behind him with Adagio not far behind. You had guessed they ran all the way, it wasn't like they lived far from you. In fact, Adagio and Aria lived on the corner of your street so they could easily get to your house in a matter of seconds.
"Hey, guys come on in." You said closing the door behind them.
They all head to your room. You hadn't specified on what you had to tell that, but by the way they were acting, they must have thought it was important, which it was. As they get into your room Flash takes a seat on your bed, while Aria and Adagio take a seat on the ground. Once they sit down they look at you waiting for you to speak up.
"So what's up Anon?" Adagio asked.
You sighed. "Well, I've actually had to talk to you guys about what happened."
"If it's about Sonata I don't want to hear it." Aria said obviously not caring about her sister.
You looked over at Aria. She didn't mean it, you've learned over the years that when Aria is sad or scared she gets even grumpier. "It's not about Sonata, it's actually about Dusk Shine."
Flash looked at you surprised. "What about him? Did something happen to him too?"
"Sort of." You said. "When I was out trying to find him I was getting tired of looking for him so I decided to head back to you guys. But as I was heading back I found him talking to Trixie."
"Oh great, The Great and Powerful Brixie, another loser." Aria said rolling her eyes. "What is she doing talking to Sonata's boyfriend?"
"Well from what I heard they were making plans to get together tonight. The only thing I don't know however is if it was a friendly get-together or a date. I don't have any proof to know, so I wanted to get your guy's opinions on it." You said. "I just thought it was weird because he was talking to Trixie when everything with Sonata happened."
As you look at them each one of them had a different expression on their face. Aria looked madder than a bull and it looked as though steam was coming out of her ears. Flash looked dumbfounded as if he didn't just hear you. As for Adagio, she looked absolutely livid. If Aria looked mad to you Adagio definitely looked even madder. With ferocity in their eyes, you knew Dusk Shine's slander was not looking good.
"You're telling me that Sonata's boyfriend could possibly be cheating on her!!" Adagio yelled.
You shrugged your shoulders. "Well, I'm not sure I mean he wasn't reluctant about it when I asked."
"Yeah and then he lied to you didn't he!" Aria yelled.
"Hey, I mean we don't have solid proof that he really is cheating on her." Flash said as he tried to calm down the two sisters.
"Do you not remember about the bruises and cuts all over her body. He probably did that to her and now he's cheating on her." Adagio accused. "Oh I'm going to find him and when I do I'm going to whoop his-"
"Hey! If you don't remember they've been together for five whole years. They love each other, he wouldn't do that to her. He doesn't seem like that sort of person and plus why would he do that to her." You said cutting Adagio off.
Aria rolled her eyes. "Whatever we'll see about that. We got to go we're going to check on Sonata tomorrow."
"Can we come with you?" Flash asked looking at her.
Adagio nodded with a small smile. "Sure but let's all agree to not tell Sonata until we have proof."
Everyone nods their heads and everyone starts to leave your house. As they leave your house you start to think if it was a good idea to let them know. Flash was your best friend and you guys told each other everything. Aria and Adagio were Sonata's sisters so you had to tell them. You could only hope that they didn't do anything hazardous. You didn't want to think about it, it was getting late and you had to get some sleep so that you could be ready to go to the hospital and see Sonata.
The next day you woke up and Flash gave you a ride to the hospital. At the time all you could think of was if Sonata had gotten better since the other day. It had been two days since she had passed out at the beach. You weren't paying attention during the drive, but all you could think of was Sonata. After about five minutes later you guys had just made it to the hospital. Once you got out of the car all you could think of was one thing.
'Be safe Sonata' As you got out of the car and looked at the hospital where Sonata was staying.
My head hurts, like I just got hit by a car. It's not the first time something like this has happened before. I want to tell them the truth but I can't or I'll get hurt by him. I guess I should probably explain the situation that's going on.
It all started when high school started. Dusk Shine wasn't always like this. He was actually pretty nice to me before this. Every day when it would just be me and him, he hits me. It's not a playful hit either it hurts to the point where I start to cry. If only I could tell someone but I can't or he'll... well it'll be worse than just hitting me. After about a year I got used to the abuse but that doesn't me I enjoy it. Dusk Shine is a good person it's just that he has dad issues and he uses me as his punching bag. Ever since Dusk Shine joined the Self-Defense club in our second year of high school he got even more violent.
If I tell my sister they'll kill him no questions asked. But if I tell someone like Anon then he'll probably do something like that as well. I just want someone, anyone, to just let it stop. I want to be free, free from the abuse, free from Dusk Shine. I try to think of the pros and cons of my time since I've been with Dusk Shine.
The pros of my time with Dusk Shine were that nobody could mess with me. Anyone that tried to do something to me, he would be there to save me. If any boys tried to make their moves on me he would scare them off. Everyone knows not to mess with Dusk Shine or they'll see Dusk Shine at his scariest like I have multiple times. If only he could do that and not hit me in the progress. But that was all I could come up with for pros since we've been together.
All the cons of my time with Dusk Shine were that there was a lot of hitting. Scars, bruises, cuts and more would always occur when he would hit me. He would normally hit me if I "made a mistake or I did something that he didn't like." I would have to hide them or put on some makeup to cover them up, or just lie and say it was an accident and I caused them myself. I don't like it when I have to lie to the others especially my sisters, the others, and Anon. I've known them for so long but I don't want them to find out about my problems with Dusk Shine and me. I think back to one of the first times Dusk Shine started to abuse me.
Before I knew what happened a punch hit me right to the stomach and then a slap to the face. I was on the ground crying, it hurt so much. He was hitting me because I and quote "said something stupid as always." As if hearing Aria call me stupid all the time was bad. I look up and see an angry-looking Dusk Shine look down at me.
"Please stop, I'm sorry it won't happen again." I said shaking in fear that he looked hit me again.
"You always say that but it still happens." Dusk Shine then grabbed me by my hair then he kicked me in the stomach making me want to throw up. "Why does it happen after I tell you to stop!?" Dusk Shine yelled.
"I-I don't know I'll-" I try to finish but I can't because he starts to yell at me again.
"YOU NEVER KNOW!! IT'S ALWAYS THE SAME THING FROM YOU!!! 'I'm sorry it won't happen again, please forgive me." He said as he tried to mimic my voice. "THEN WHY DOESN'T NOTHING CHANGE!?! DO I NEED TO HIT YOU HARDER SO YOU CAN UNDERSTAND OR WILL YOU STOP BEING SO STUPID FOR ONCE IN YOUR SORRY LIFE!?!"
I was shaking like I just saw a ghost. I was scared to death of Dusk Shine. He keeps yelling and yelling at me sometimes hitting me while he was yelling at me. Finally, he stops hitting and yelling at me and I run to the bathroom. As I run up the stairs and get into the bathroom I close the door. I take out my phone and I start to think about who I should call. One of my sisters? No that'll be the end of Dusk Shine once they see him. Maybe Anon or Sunset possibly Flash? No, they don't even know where I am. And plus they'll take too long to get here. I start to dial Ari's number but before I can Dusk Shine walks into the bathroom. How could I be so stupid I forgot to lock the door? Dusk Shine looks at me then he looks at my phone with Ari's number on it.
Without another second he grabs my arm and takes me downstairs again. He throws me against the wall as hard as he could. He then proceeds to threaten me and tells me if I try to do something like that again or if I did do it he would torture me as much as possible to the point where I would wish I was dead. I remember leaving his house that day and going to my room and crying for the rest of the night. It hurt to know that I couldn't tell anyone about what Dusk Shine had done to me.
Just then my vision starts to come back to me as I finish thinking back to that time. As I open my eyes I see my parents, my sisters, Sunset, Twilight, Flash, and Anon all around in the room. I put my hands to my head.
"Uh, what happened?" I say adjusting to the light.
Your P.O.V
Once me and Flash arrived at the hospital we head into the lobby and ask which number Sonata's room is.
"Room 185, third floor." The employee says.
"Thank you." You said.
You and Flash walk into the elevator and head your way to Sonata's room. Once you guys arrive at the room you saw that you weren't the only ones there. Sonata's parents were there as well as her sisters. Sunset and Twilight were also there looking down at Sonata. I look down at Sonata she looks so innocent just laying there. I look back at Sonata's parents her mom is crying into her husband's chest. While Adagio and even Aria look like they were about to cry themselves. I start to zone out but I get taken out of my trance by hearing someone speak up.
"Uh, what happened?" A voice said.
You look back, it was Sonata! She had finally woken up from her little nap. She looks around the room but before she can say another word her mother grabs her and hugs her crying into her. Even Adagio and Aria run up to her and hug her. The doctor comes into the room saying that Sonata just needs rest but she takes her parents out of the room to talk to them in private. You being a nosey person like you are you decide to listen in as well.
"We took a look at her and all those bruises she has on her body. Well, it seems as though someone caused them, it wasn't no accident." The doctor says.
You knew it! All those bruises on her body, someone did make them! But who? You decide to let it go for now and head to Sonata. "How are you doing Sonata?"
"I'm feeling better. Head hurts but other than that I'm fine." Sonata says looking at you with her normal smile.
You smiled. Even after everything that happened, she was still as happy and bright as ever. "That's good."
Her parents and the doctor walked back into the room. Her parents do not look happy one bit.
"You are free to leave, but you must get a lot of rest." The doctor said.
"Okay, thank you very much." Sonata said with a smile.
The doctor only nodded her head as she walks out of the room. Once she leaves the room Sonata's parents look back at her. They had that parent look in their eyes like they found something and you're in trouble. You knew something was about to go down.
"So would you like to tell us about who is hitting you?" Mrs. Dusk says as he looked at Sonata.
"I don't know what you're talking about." Sonata said as she looked away from her father's glance.
"Those bruises all over your body. The doctors say that someone has caused that to you. Who is harming my daughter?!" Mrs. Dusk yelled.
Sonata stays quiet, you knew she heard but she wasn't answering. She starts to shake like she's hyperventilating and then she starts to cry. Her parents look back at all of us.
"I think you should all give us some time, alone." Mr. Dusk looks back at all of you.
You all nod and walk out of the room. Before the door closes you hear Sonata and her parents talking. You wondered if Sonata was going to answer her mother's question. As you head out of the hospital and into Flash's car all you could think of was who was hurting Sonata. Was it someone else or was it your main target, Dusk Shine? You looked out the window as you wondered.
'Who could be the person that was hitting Sonata?'
It had been two weeks since you and the others had gone to check on Sonata in the hospital. You had gone back to school the week prior. Your final quarter of the senior year of high school had just started. You were currently at lunch eating your taco sitting next to Flash. Ever since Sonata had gotten out of the hospital Adagio and Aria had started to be distant towards you and the others. They had actually been watching out for Sonata. Even Aria was being nicer to her which was a surprise. But they weren't the only ones that have been acting differently, even you and Flash had actually drifted apart a bit. It wasn't like you guys stopped talking it was just that you guys stopped hanging out as much as you use to. Which was kinda a good thing, he could get really annoying at some points in time.
Sonata didn't come to school today which was surprising to you. She normally always comes to school, in fact, she loves school. She even likes school more than Twilight at some point in time. She had never missed a day of school ever since you'd known her. Personally, you didn't love school but you didn't hate it. Ever since you joined the Self-Defense club you've actually liked to come to school.
You had gotten a lot better and you were able to hold your ground with the others. Both your boxing skills and karate skills had gotten way better as well. You had faced off with most of the people in your class except for Dusk Shine. You were going to save him for last until the time was right. In fact, you had gotten so good and so fast that you got a black gi a few days ago. The white gi you use to have was changed to the black gi. You actually looked better in the black gi than you did in the white gi.
Anyways, as you finished your taco you looked up at everyone. Adagio and Aria were actually talking to the other girls which was a miracle that they were even there in the first place. Flash was talking to Sunset probably trying to flirt with her and failing in the progress. Sunset didn't know Flash liked her but with the way he flirts, it wouldn't be long until Sunset realizes that Flash likes her. He was pretty much telling her that he liked her and he wanted to go out on a date.
The bell rings as you then start to get up and head to the gym with Sunset. Rainbow and Aria were already ahead of you two running to the gym, something they hadn't done in a while. Once you get to the gym you head to the locker room to put on your gi. As you head out of the locker room you look around and see that there aren't any mats down on the floor like always. 'Odd, what's going on?' You see Sunset walking around so you decide to ask her what's going on.
"Hey Sunset, why aren't there any mats down today?" You asked Sunset.
"It's that time of year." Sunset said with a smile.
"What time of year?" You asked not understanding what she meant.
Sunset looked at you and smiled. "You're going to find out soon enough Anon."
That time of year? It wasn't anyone's birthday from what you remember. So what was so important about today? Was there some sort of event in this club that you didn't know about?
"Attention!!" Someone yells.
You turn back to see that it's Vice Principal Luna or should you say, Master Luna. She looks down at all the kids in the class. You can't tell if she's happy or not. But at the same time, she always looks the same so you can't tell.
"I want all of you to sit down and pay attention to me!!" Luna yelled. All the kids in the room immediately sit on the ground. It must be important if she's doing this. Normally all you do in this class is either sparing with the other kids or learn new moves from Vice Principal Luna. As you sit on the ground you look back up at Luna and see that she has some sort of checklist board in her hands. "As it is coming to the end of the year it's time for the Self-Defense Club's main event of the year. At the end of the year, the Self-Defense Club holds a tournament for everyone. The tournament will take place three weeks from now on Tuesday. For anyone that wants to enter the tournament must sign up before the end of the week. The rules of the tournament are simple: No under shots, no illegal contact, hit only above the waist. If any of these rules are broken you will be disqualified and you could quite possibly get a detention. That is all. You may all now continue your training for the day."
A tournament? Where both Dusk Shine, Sunset, and others will join? Just how many people were going to enter this thing? Eh, it didn't matter. This was your chance to battle the both of them and beat them. You already knew that you were going to enter no matter what. You look at Sunset and she looks at you with a fire in her eyes. The two of you just keep on looking at each other with passion in your eyes. This tournament wasn't just going to be a fun little event, to you, it was a challenge. A challenge you just had to win!
The rest of the class went by pretty fast for you. Once you got changed out of your gi you start to head to the table that had the checklist on it. A group of teens was all by the table probably signing up. Sunset walks up to you and looks at the group of kids crowding around the table.
"Looks like this year is going to have a lot of kids signing up." Sunset said as she looked at everyone at the table signing up for the tournament.
"What do you mean?" You asked as you looked at Sunset.
Sunset turned to you. "Ever since I joined this club the tournaments had never been this packed before. At the most, maybe 20 to 30 kids entered them. But this year looks like 60 to 70 entered. Even if most of them are doing it for the attention."
You turn to Sunset and smiled. You know you didn't have to ask but you still decided to ask her. "You entering the tournament?"
Sunset looked at you and smirked. "What do you think? Of course, I will, I won't let an opportunity like this go away. Plus it's my last year, let's have some fun."
You knew the answer you just wanted to make sure. You knew Aria and Rainbow were going to enter no doubt in your mind. Dusk Shine was the champion so, of course, he would enter. Blueblood was probably going to as well. You look back at the table to see Snips and Snails sign up as well. 'Yep, those two are definitely doing it for the attention. Well, that's a free win for whoever is put against them. Hopefully, they don't die in the process.' The crowd of people starts to disassemble from the table. You start to head over to the table with Sunset. You and Sunset take out a pen and you write your names on the checklist. The tournament took place in three weeks which meant you still had plenty of time to train and get ready. You were feeling pretty confident right about now.
The rest of the day went by in a flash. You were too busy thinking about the tournament. You were currently walking out of the school with Flash. You were telling Flash about what had happened at the Self-Defense club but as you and Flash are talking you and Flash run into Sonata and Dusk Shine.
"Hi Flash, Hi Anon." Sonata said waving at you two. You didn't know she was at school today.
"Hi, Sonata." You and Flash the both of you waved back.
You then turned to Dusk Shine and smirked. "So Dusk Shine ready for our battle in the tournament?"
Dusk Shine looked at you and smirked. "You bet. Just don't cry when I beat you."
Sonata looked at you surprised. "For realizes? You entered the tournament Anon?"
Flash smiled as he put his arm around your neck. "You bet he did he's ready, right Anon."
"Yeah, and don't worry I won't cry Dusk Shine but you will." You fired back.
Dusk Shine smiled at you. "You'll have to make it to me first."
You smiled back at him. "Don't worry I will."
"Sure whatever, I'll be waiting for you." Dusk Shine then turned his attention to Sonata. "Sonata I got to talk to Blueblood." Sonata nodded as Dusk Shine turned back to you. "See you later, Anon."
"See you around, Dusk Shine." You said as you waved to him.
"I better get going good luck Anon. See you guys later." Sonata said as she waved goodbye to you and Flash.
"Bye Sonata." You and Flash said as you waved goodbye.
And with that Sonata was gone. You and Flash continued to walk home. But all you could think about was one thing:
Once I get into the car I can already tell something was off. Dusk Shine looks at me and then looks back at the road. I was not looking forward to the talk when we get home.
We get to the front of his house and he heads inside leaving me outside. I slowly walk into his home and see him sitting down on a chair drinking a soda. As I close the door behind me he looks up at me and gives me one of the most scariest faces I had ever seen.
"You were late, again." Dusk Shine said as he glares at me. He was mad, and I was in trouble.
I took a step back in fear. "I-I didn't know we would run into Flash and Anon."
Dusk Shine rolled his eyes. "Still you're late and you said you would stop being late."
I don't know what got over me but I had enough. I had enough of the abuse, enough of getting yelled at, and enough of always living my whole day in fear of Dusk Shine possibly hitting me. I never stood my ground against Dusk Shine, ever. In all those four years of this abuse, I've never stood up to myself. So I take a deep breath and looked him in the eye.
"I was two minutes late and all of a sudden I'm a villain? I'm sick and tired of you abusing me, Dusk. I don't care if you're the most popular kid, I want someone that actually loves me, not someone who abuses me all the time. So I'm going to ask nicely because I love you. Stop hitting me or I'll tell Adagio and she'll do something to you." I said and boy did I feel good about it too.
I smiled, I was proud of myself for what I did. Finally facing my fears and not being scared of Dusk Shine. Plus, he wouldn't do anything, nobody would when we're talking about Adagio, the scariest person alive. If I tell her she'll beat the mess out of him, all that abuse I had felt would be nothing compared to what Adagio would do to him. How wrong I was, I thought this would change everything... but it didn't.
Before I knew it one of the hardest slaps I ever felt hit me on my cheek. Then in one swift motion, Dusk Shine grabs me by my shirt and pulls me to his face.
"You listen and you listen well... YOU WILL NOT TALK TO BE LIKE THAT EVER AGAIN!!! YOU ARE MINE AND ONLY MINE!!! SPEAK TO ME LIKE THAT AGAIN!! I DARE YOU!!! SEE WHAT HAPPENS!!" Dusk Shine yelled in my face.
I was done with him. "No, you listen here! I AM NOT YOUR PROPERTY AND NEVER WILL BE!!" I yell back at his face.
Just then I felt a punch to the face. I fall to the ground, nearly throwing up from the immense pain. I look up at him and he looks down at me and then he picks up his soda. He then proceeds to spill the rest of his soda all over me. Getting my hair and my clothes completely soaked because of it.
"I'M THE BOSS OF YOU AND WILL DO AS I SAY!! I don't why I even started to date you." Dusk Shine rolled his eyes. What he said crushed me. "Everyone only knows about you because of me! And you treat me like this? I should deserve some more respect!! Your sister Aria was right about you, YOU ARE A FAILURE!!!"
FAILURE... failure... fail... ure? I'm a failure? I feel tears starting to rise up in my eyes. I can only look at him with disbelief. All this time he thought I was a failure. Then why would he date a so-called failure then? And why did he have to bring up Aria? At least she doesn't call me a failure. Well, she probably did but she doesn't say it to my face unlike him.
"Then why would you date a failure like me?" I ask as I looked up at him still in pain from the punch.
"Why? I'll tell you why. All the boys at Canterlot High are head over heels for you. Every single one of them is jealous because I have you. The most popular boy and the cutest girl. All the boys except Flash and Anon of course. Flash likes Sunset and Anon." Dusk Shine then stopped and tried to think of something. "He probably likes someone that isn't so stupid. Get out of here I don't want to see you for the rest of the day." Dusk Shine says as he pushes me away.
Calling me cute, that was the nicest thing he's said to me in years. I run out of his stupid house for my dear life, holding onto my stomach in pain. I'm not a failure, or his property, my parents love me. As well as my sisters and friends. They don't think I'm a failure. And he definitely ain't the boss of me. I'm going to tell someone about this once and for all, I just don't know who.
Your P.O.V
You know when you get used to your schedule at your school so you think it'll be exactly the same. Well, that's how you thought today would be but you were wrong. You had just gotten out of your history class and you were headed to lunch. But as you were headed to lunch you ran into Sonata. Weird, normally she's always with Dusk Shine but he was nowhere to be seen. She looked upset about something but what?
"What's up Sonata? You need something?" You ask her.
Sonata looks at you and then sighs. "Yeah, I have something to tell you. If you have time that is."
You nodded your head. "Yeah of course I have time. What is it?"
Sonata then looks down at the floor confusing you as to what was up with her. "Well, it's actually about Dusk Shine and me."
"What about you and Dusk Shine? Is everything alright between the two of you? Do you need my help again? It's almost your guy's sixth-year anniversary." You said with a smile.
You actually wouldn't be surprised. This wouldn't be the first time she had asked for help. This would actually be the third time she would be asking. Or maybe they broke up, now that would be surprising. You doubt it, she would've gone to the girls, and plus she would have been crying her eyes out by now.
"It's not about that it's about something else." Sonata says continuing to look at the ground.
You looked at Sonata confused. "Ok... don't leave me hanging, what is it?"
"W-well you see he actually-" Sonata tries to say but gets interrupted.
"Hey, guys, what's up?" A voice said.
You turn back, it's Dusk Shine. Bad timing and she was about to tell you to. Well, she can't tell you now, Dusk Shine is here. He's probably going to ask what we were talking about. I'll just get out of this conversation as soon as I can.
"Oh, hey Dusk Shine me and Sonata were just catching up." You said with a small smile. You still didn't trust him ever since what happened at the beach so you were on high alert around him.
"Oh, that's cool. Hey Sonata can I talk to you? Privately." Dusk Shine says seriously catching you off guard. You'd never heard Dusk Shine sound so serious before.
"S-sure." Sonata says stuttering.
You look over at Sonata and your eyes widened, Sonata was shaking. Was she... scared of Dusk Shine? "Uh yea, well I'll see you guys later, I'm hungry."
"Bye Anon." Sonata and Dusk Shine say as they headed their way.
"Bye." As you waved to them and went your own way.
I'm hungry? What a stupid excuse. Well, you're not wrong, you were hungry. Whatever. The way he said privately sounded... off to you. Must be something important if he said it like that. Maybe he didn't mean for it to sound like that and you were just paranoid. As you leave however you didn't know what was going on behind you.
In another part of the school Dusk Shine had put Sonata up against a wall. "You were about to tell him about me. Weren't you?"
"Maybe, maybe not, you have no proof." Sonata says as she crossed her arms and looked away from him.
Dusk Shine scoffs. "I don't need proof to know that you were about to tell Anon."
"What are you going to do? If you forgot we're at school you can't hit me here." Sonata said with a smirk.
Dusk Shine grabs her by her arm. "Oh yes, I can." Dusk Shine says as he drags her down the hall. But what they didn't know was that they were being followed by someone.
Dusk Shine takes Sonata to a secluded part of the halls. Where no kids or teachers are, at this time of day. The person was still following them keeping their distance so they weren't caught. They peek the corner and pull out their phone to record the both of them. Just at that moment, Dusk Shine proceeds to throw Sonata against the lockers with a loud bang.
"I told you not to tell anyone." Dusk Shine said as he glared at her.
"They'll find out what you're doing eventually. And when they do you're in trouble." Sonata says with a smile. Just then a series of a slap to the face and then a punch to the stomach. Sonata falls to the ground groaning in pain.
"When they do find out what will they do? I'll like to see what they do to me, especially Adagio. Now leave before Anon gets suspicious." Dusk Shine said as he looked down at Sonata.
As Sonata is leaving the hidden figure looks at what they just saw. The hidden figure then proceeds to run before Sonata can see them. Sonata walks away into the bathroom to cry her heart out from the pain.
There you were, minding your own business eating your apple with Flash and the others. All except for one, Twilight hadn't arrived yet, maybe she wanted to talk to her teacher about something. Your thoughts go elsewhere as you hear the cafeteria doors burst open. It was Twilight and she looked like she had just run a marathon. She comes up to the table, you weren't the only one surprised. Everyone looks up at Twilight as if she was a serial killer.
"What's wrong Twilight?" Sunset said.
Twilight tried to catch her breath. "I-I saw it with my own eyes. I got video footage of it."
"Saw what? What video footage are you talking about?" Sunset asked as she went over to Twilight to give her some water.
"Dusk Shine and Sonata." Twilight said as she takes out her phone.
The whole table goes stiff as a board, nobody dared to make a move. Twilight hesitantly took out her phone and plays the video she had recorded. Everyone gasps at the horror, you spit out the water you were drinking. Sunset and the others look like their lives were sucked from them. Adagio and Aria look like they were already planning the murder of Dusk Shine. And you... you were seeing red. Sunset stands up from her seat, she has a serious expression on her face.
But you weren't having any of it, you weren't going to wait for Sunset. You jump up from your seat. "DUSK SHINE!!!!" You yelled.
Everyone in the cafeteria looks at you. You didn't care as you run out of the cafeteria at full speed. You were on a mission to find Dusk Shine so the two of you could have a little "talk."
"ANON!!" Sunset yells after you.
Adagio, Aria, and Flash also jump up and run from their seats. Now everyone in the room was interested in what was happening. As then kids started getting up from their seats and started following you and your friends.
Sunset then turns to Fluttershy, Rarity, and Twilight. "Fluttershy, Rarity, Twilight, go find Celestia and let her know about this."
You ran down every hall to find Dusk Shine. He could run as much as he liked but he can't hide. The only thing that you could think of was just what were you going to do to him when you found him. You had so many ideas for when you did meet him. Well, if he wants to hit people let's hit him. 'Just you wait Dusk Shine, when I find you you're going to wish you were never born!' You thought as you run down the halls trying to find him.
You had known it all along. Dusk Shine was abusing Sonata and you didn't do anything about it. He probably did threaten her so that's why she hasn't told anyone about all the abuse. Now thinking about it she was probably about to tell you before he came along, that was probably why she was shaking in fear. You felt stupid for not being there for her. You couldn't be there for her before but you can now. As you kept running down the halls you finally found him, Dusk Shine. The idiot that you were going to kill for what he had done to her. He was talking to Blueblood, now was your perfect chance to jump him, well by yourself. Flash and the girls were right behind you running after you.
"DUSK SHINE!!" You yelled running toward him.
As Dusk Shine was turning around he couldn't speak because you threw the most hardest punch you could throw and it connected with his face. He falls to the ground holding his jaw. He looks up at you in shock and anger.
"What was that all about Anon?" Dusk Shine asked you looking at you a bit pissed.
"What was that all about? I'll tell you what it was about! YOU ABUSE SONATA THAT'S WHAT!! WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT TO HER!!" You yelled at him. Angry completely taking over your mind and body.
Dusk Shine looks up at you and he is surprisingly happy. He isn't mad and he isn't fighting back. If fact, even after you just punched him in the jaw with all your might, he looked at you with a bright smile on his face. "Come on Anon we all know Sonata is an idiot. I know your mad but come on, it's not my fault she's a complete failure."
You froze, a failure? Sonata may be ditzy but she isn't a failure, no one was! And who does he think he is? Thinking just because he's popular he can talk to people and treat people however he wanted to, it wasn't right. That was what you hate about popular people the most, their big ego thinking they're better than everyone else when really they weren't. You get in his face and you try to slap him but he grabs your arm and gives it a twist.
"Do you want to start something right now?" Dusk Shine said as he continued to twist your arm.
You looked at him with a sinister glare. "You bet." As you then tackled him to the ground.
Blueblood tries to pull you off of Dusk Shine but he was then suddenly jumped by Aria. Aria tackles the man right into his locker causing him to fall to the ground and hold his head in pain. Flash and Adagio come around the corner and see what was happening. Adagio tries to get into the fight but Flash holds her back. Adagio tried to escape from his grasp but he wasn't letting go anytime soon.
You were able to land a punch to his gut before Dusk Shine kicks you off of him. You then stand up, Dusk Shine tries to throw a punch but you dodged it and then gave him a kick to his stomach. Dusk Shine stands up and lands a right hook on your face. You step back, you hadn't expected that but that's fine. Dusk Shine tries to kick you in the face but you catch it. You then trip his other foot making him fall on his back. You then put him in a choke hold but he's being stubborn and not tapping out like you wanted him to do. After a while, he started tapping out slapping his hand on the ground.
His face was going all red, now just because you're mad your not evil. In class, they say that if the person is tapping you should stop. But should you? After all that he did to Sonata, this should be revenge! But no, then you would be not better than him. You sighed as you then eased up on the chock hold and you let him go. He's on the ground coughing like a madman. Did you just win against the school champion? That was kinda easy, you look back at Flash and Adagio. Adagio is jumping up and down in happiness, while Flash was surprised but then smiled at you. Aria and Blueblood were still fighting so you decided to walk over there to break it up.
As you were walking over there, you were then slammed by an elbow to the face. Then a kick to the leg, and then finally a kick to the stomach. You fall to the ground, you look up and see its Dusk Shine looking down at you with a smile. He tricked you, and you fell for it! You jump back up 'Ok we're playing dirty let's play dirty' You start to throw a punch to his face and he proceeds to dodge it. But when he does, you kick him in his manly part. He falls to the ground and you kick him in the face. This fight had only begun.
The others had finally found Celestia and Luna and they were headed to find you guys. As for Sonata, she has just gotten out of the bathroom finishing all her crying. She sees everyone so she decides to follow them. To say she was surprised to see almost all the school looking at something would be an understatement.
You hadn't noticed when the crowd of kids came but you didn't care. You were in the zone and you were seeing red. Dusk Shine's friends had to pull Aria off of Blueblood. So now it was just you and Dusk Shine, just the way you wanted it. You were persistent to beat Dusk Shine no matter what. Were you hurting? Sure, but it didn't matter. You were able to give Dusk Shine a black eye in the process. You were starting to wind up a punch. But as the two of you were fighting you both didn't notice the principals or Sonata. Time starts to go in slow motion to you the both of you throw punches at each other but before they can land you hear someone... Sonata.
"STOP IT BOTH OF YOU!" Sonata yelled.
You turn back and see that it's Sonata, and she was crying. Then you see the principles and all your friends. You stop your punch but when you did you then felt a sharp pain hit you in the nose. Dusk Shine had punched you right in the face. You started to feel yourself fall back as your head then hits a locker with a loud bang. Your vision starts to go foggy you try to stand up but you can't. You hear someone calling your name but you can't speak. Your vision was soon taken up by darkness. Dusk Shine had just won the fight. You failed, not only to yourself but to your friends and especially... Sonata.
You wake up feeling like you had just got hit by a train. Then you remembered what had happened in the hallway. You were in the doctor's office and you heard her talking, she probably talking to Celestia or Luna, or even worse, your parents. The nurse walks back in and sees you she then goes back outside to get someone. Both Celestia and Luna then walk in and look down at you.
"Anon, we're glad to see you're ok. Now if you can, can you follow us to my office." Celestia said as she looked at you.
"Yes ma'am." You respond as you got up from the bed.
They were glad to see you were ok but now they're sending you to the office, real assuring as you rolled your eyes. You walk into the principal's office, it wasn't the first time being there but it was always something going in there. You look around and see Dusk Shine in a chair. He has an ice pack on his eye and he looks mad. You take a seat far away from him not looking in his direction.
"Well, it has come to our attention that the two of you fighting. We've already gotten the video footage from Twilight as well as everyone's stories but we would still like to hear from you Anon. Why did you do it?" Celestia asked looking over at you.
"Ma'am, with all due respect you saw the video. He hit Sonata, my friend. Of course, I would do something like this. Look I'm sorry for what I did, but I'm not apologizing to him." You said. Celestia looks like she was expecting this from you.
"Now how I would give you two a week of suspension. Luna had a different plan of punishment for you two." Celestia said as she turned to her sister.
"As you two are my students I'll give you two both punishment of my choice. But if either one of you doesn't do it you will have to forfeit the tournament." Luna says seriously.
You flinched. You needed to enter that tournament. "I'll do it."
Dusk Shine looked at Luna and then rolled his eyes as he scoffed. "Whatever."
Luna nodded her head. "Good, now Dusk Shine, you will not only apologize to Sonata but you will also have on school suspension for a week. As for you, Anon you will not be allowed to go to the club for a week."
"Ok." You and Dusk Shine both say.
"That is all. Oh, and Anon, would you want an ice pack?" Celestia asked you.
You nodded your head. "Yes ma'am."
After you got your ice pack you left the office. You then hear talking around the corner, and when you turn the corner you see Dusk Shine. It looked as though Dusk Shine was trying to apologize to Sonata... well trying to. But Adagio wasn't having any of it, it was taking four of the girls to hold her back. You then see Sonata come from behind them and walks over to him. You flinch, if Dusk Shine even dared tried doing something to Sonata you were going to rip his head off.
Sonata then stood right in front of him not backing down. "We're done, I'm breaking up with you. I can't believe you would do that to Anon."
"Whatever." Dusk Shine shrugged. "Just so you know I always get my way."
"You ever step one inch from my sister I'll do more than give you a black eye!" Adagio yelled as she was still being held back. "You're lucky it was Anon you were fighting and not me!"
Dusk Shine doesn't seem to care as he proceeds to just walk away. You look back at the others and they see you. Even Pinkie Pie someone that was always smiling was frowning. Are they mad at you? Or are they sad? Your thoughts go away when you feel something touch you. You look down it's Sonata and she's crying into your jacket.
"I-I'm s-sorry it's a-all my f-fault." Sonata said as she cried into your jacket.
You look down at Sonata and smile as you pat her head. "No, it's not it's Dusk Shine's. You're safe now." Sonata looks up at you and smiles with tears running down her eyes. She mouths thank you as she hugs you.
After you finish your hug with Sonata you told everyone that you decided to head home early for the day. After what had happened you didn't want to be at school for a while. Flash said he'll get a copy of the homework for you and you thanked him. You actually didn't think about it until you got closer but how would your parents react? Mad? Sad? Happy? Doubt that. As you got to the door to your house you try to get to your room without being caught... key word being try.
"Back home early aren't we Anonymous." A voice called out.
You flinch, you knew that voice all too well. You slowly turn around to see that it's your mother and father looking at you, and they didn't look so happy to see you. "H-Hi mom, dad."
You continue to look at your mom and dad as they stared back at you. They never called you Anonymous it was always Anon or sweetie. Whenever they did call you Anonymous they normally meant business and it looked like they did.
"We heard about what happened at school, have a seat Anonymous." Your mom said pointing to a seat for you to take.
You look back at your mom and dad with some hesitation. As you take the seat you see your dad smile. What was your dad smiling about? You just got into a fight at school, was he happy because of that?
"We're proud of you Anon." Your dad said with a big smile.
Proud? Did you hear them correctly? You had to make sure. "I... got into a fight at school... and you're happy about that?"
"Yes. Principal Celestia told us everything. You stood up for your friend that was being abused by her boyfriend. Sonata's lucky to have you as a friend. We're proud of what you did Anon but do try not to get into fights at school again." Your mom said with a smile of her own.
"Yes mom, dad." You said happily. You were glad you weren't going to get in trouble and that your parents were actually proud of you.
"Now how about we order some pizza as a celebration?" Your dad asked. He didn't have to tell you twice as you smiled and nodded your head.
It had been a few minutes since your dad had ordered the pizza. And you were in your room on your phone texting Aria to see how Sonata was holding up. From what you were hearing the whole house was upside down. It took them almost an hour to get their parents to calm down from learning the truth. Their dad was wanting to go find Dusk Shine and give him a man-to-man talk himself but when they told him you had already dealt with it their dad was able to calm down. He trusted you and was thankful for what you had done. Adagio on the other hand had tried to attack Dusk Shine after school but Flash stopped her... somehow. It would be a miracle if Dusk Shine survived until the end of the school year or at all for that matter.
Finally, the pizza had gotten here. You walked out of your room and headed to the kitchen. Two large pizzas stood in front of you. Cheese and Three Meats. As you grabbed your pizza you sat down and started to eat. Whoever thought of pizza they were one of the smartest people ever.
"You know you remind me of myself, Anon." Your dad said as he ate his pizza.
"Well, I am your kid after all." You said as you rolled your eyes.
"Your dad actually did the same thing to me." Your mom said as she took a bite of her pizza.
You looked at your mom confused. "Did the same thing as you? What do you mean? What did dad do to you?"
Your mom looked at you with a smile. "Would you like to hear the story about how me and your father met?"
You nodded your head with a smile. "Sure. I've always wanted to know how you guys met."
Your mother then began to think back to when she met your dad. "Well, your father and I actually went to Canterlot High just like you. I, just like Sonata, had an abusive boyfriend at one point. His name was Aaron. I couldn't tell anyone because I was scared. Then your father came along and he caught Aaron abusing me. Once I was free from Aaron I felt depressed. Your father helped me from doing something I would've regretted. After that, me and your father fell in love and later got married and then we had you."
To say you had a lot of questions would be an understatement. Sonata was like your mother and you were like your dad. Wait! Your mother nearly did something she would've regretted. Would Sonata do something like that as well? No, she was bubbly someone like her wouldn't do something like that... at least you hoped not.
"That's an interesting back story you guys got. No wonder you two never tell anyone about how you guys met. Do you know what happened to Aaron?" You asked, you wondered why Aaron was now. Jail hopefully.
"After high school, we never found out what had happened to Aaron. He just vanished in thin air without a trace. But if Aaron is still out there he's probably in jail with the way he was." Your mom said. "And I hope he is, he deserves it. Just like how Dusk deserves his punishment."
You nodded but then you thought about it. Jail? Just how bad was this guy? Now you were starting to think Sonata had it easier than your mother. Your parents' lives were... odd to put it simply.
"Well, that was some good food." Your dad said as he got up from his seat.
"Yeah, I'm full. I'm going to take a bath now." You said as you got up from your seat. "I'm glad dad was there to help you mom." You said, your mom looks at you and smiles.
As you were getting into the bathroom you started to think about what you had just heard. You weren't trying to be rude when you were leaving. It was just a lot to take in all at once. From your mom going through the same thing as Sonata did to her boyfriend possibly being in jail by the way he acts? Aaron was someone that was just like Dusk Shine... a little too much like Dusk Shine. And if you ever met someone like Aaron they'll pay for hurting your mother.
Once you had gotten dressed you texted Flash to see what he was doing. He was playing basketball with Rainbow Dash. He was losing... nothing normal to him. As you were looking at your phone you hear a knock at the door so you open it, it was your dad. Why would he be in your room at this time?
"What's up dad need something?" You asked. Your dad never normally came into your room.
"You know your mom didn't tell you the full story." Your dad said as he took a seat on your bed.
"What do you mean? Why didn't she tell the rest of the story?" You asked as you looked at your father.
"The rest of the story... she doesn't like to tell or think about it." Your dad said as he looked down.
You looked at your dad, you needed to know the rest of the story that your mom didn't tell you. "Well, can you tell me the rest of the story?"
Your dad looked at you and smiled. "Of course. So you probably didn't know this but I was actually in the Self-Defense club."
"Wait... you were in the Self-Defense club?" You asked surprised.
Your dad nodded her head. "Yep, so was your mother's boyfriend Aaron. Me and him were friends at one point until I found out what he was doing to your mom. What your mom didn't tell you was that we did fight but just not at school in the halls and that she got depressed."
"Then where did you guys fight at? And how did mom get out of her depression?" You asked looking at your dad, wondering how the story turned out.
"Well for your mom she was about to make a decision she was going to regret so I gave her a little advice." Your dad said with a smile.
"What was the advice you gave her?" You asked.
Your dad whispers something into your ear. Your eyes widened, it was some very good advice if you had to say it. As for the decision, your mom was going to regret it, you didn't know why they didn't just say your mom was going to end her life. That was probably the part that she didn't like to talk about.
But you also had another question for your dad. "So how did the fight turn out between you and Aaron?"
Your dad then thought about it. "Well it was the finals and it was tied 2-2. We were giving it our all and we both wanted to win. If I won your mom would never have to worry about Aaron ever again. But if he won your mom would still have to worry about him. In the end, I won and after that night Aaron left town. No one has ever seen or heard Aaron since that day, which in a few weeks would then turn into twenty years."
You were surprised. "Twenty years?! What about Aaron's family how did they react when they noticed their son was missing? They must have been worried sick."
Your dad let out a small laugh. "Well, Aaron never had parents. He lived at an orphanage his whole life. No family wanted him so kids would make fun of him. That's probably why he joined the Self-Defense club and started to act like a jerk to everyone and hit your mom. He was probably so angry at the world that he just started hating on people in general."
Wow, this Aaron guy had a bad life. No wonder he did all that stuff, but still, that doesn't mean he should've hit your mom. At least your dad was able to care for that incompetent fool. But where could Aaron of gone? Did someone find him and save him? It had been two decades since anyone had last heard of him. For all you knew he could be dead.
Your dad smiled as he looked at you and then stood up. "Well, that's how me and your mother meet. Now I've got to work on a project for my work. I'll see you tomorrow Anon."
"Yeah see you later dad." You smiled as your dad walked out of your room closing your door.
Well, that was some interesting family secrets your family had. Just what other kind of secret's did they have? Now another mystery was unveiling itself. Just what did happen that night when that Aaron guy left? Only time would tell...
Far away from Canterlot, there was a shadow figure. He was looking for a ticket for a plane that could give him a one way trip to Canterlot. The shadow figure then pulls out his phone and calls someone.
"Hello? Yes, it's me. I'm getting the plane ticket, I'll see you in a week." Said the shadowy figure. "I'll like to see how Canterlot has changed since my departure. It's been twenty years since I've left been there."
That shadow figure was none other than Aaron as he smiled.
It had been a week since you heard about Aaron from your parents. You were currently in your room chilling on your phone scrolling through social media. It was a Saturday midday and you were excited for Monday surprisingly. Monday would be the day when the tournament was going to begin. As you thought about it you probably should get ready for tomorrow, you were planning on doing some training practice with Flash before the big day arrived. You were about to go to Flash's when you got a call... it was from Adagio. Why would she be calling you at this time of day?
"Hello?" You asked as you picked up the phone.
"Hi, Anon." Adagio said once she heard your voice.
"Hi, Adagio... what's up?" You asked wondering why she was calling you.
"It's about Sonata, ever since she broke up with Dusk Shine she's been depressed. I've already called the other do you think you can come over?" Adagio asked. You could tell she was worried for her sister.
You thought about what Adagio had said, Sonata was depressed? Not too rude but that was kinda obvious, Sonata hadn't been how she use to be. No longer was she the bubbly girl you once knew and loved. Maybe it's gotten worse since the last time you have last seen. She hasn't smiled or laughed since she broke up with Dusk Shine. In fact, she's been the total opposite of how she normally acts. Ever since they broke up Aria and Adagio had become Sonata's bodyguards at school. Nobody came within a five feet radius of her, especially Dusk Shine. You've hated seeing your crush be all depressed. Her life had been sucked out of her, no emotions or feelings. Whatever the reason you were going to be there for Sonata.
"Sure, I'll be there right away." You said as you got up from your bed and put on your shoes.
"Thanks, Anon, we're going to need all the help we can get." Adagio said as you then hung up the phone.
As you hung up the phone you got a text from Flash. Aria had called him telling him the same thing but that Sonata was planning to do something tonight. Now that caught your attention you then quickly put on a jacket and burst through your front door running to get to Sonata's before it was too late.
Once you got there everyone else was already there. Flash had just arrived in his car with Sunset and Twilight. Fluttershy had then knocked on the door and Adagio opened the door, she looked distraught. Even her hair which she loved was a mess. She didn't even say hi before she ran back to the house and into the kitchen. As you and the others walked in you saw a total disaster. The house was a mess, it was as if a tornado had come in and demolished the place. Aria too looked like a mess and her normal pigtails were also a mess. The two girls grabbed a bag full of stuff and threw it in a safe and then locked it shut. You didn't even know they had a safe at their house.
"What is going on?" Sunset said. You looked around the house, it looked like World World II had taken place there.
"Well after Sonata said she was suicidal we aren't taken any chances. We found anything that she could hurt herself and now she can't get them because we have the key to the safe." said Aria. As much as you wanted to say it, this was Sonata. She could hurt herself on anything, she could walk and still somehow find a way to hurt herself.
"So why are we here exactly?" Twilight asked.
"She was planning to do it tonight." You could tell that Adagio was close to crying but she was staying strong. "So we thought it would be a good idea to call all of you and see if you guys could talk to her. We tried talking to her but she won't listen to us."
"Sure we'll fix her." Flash said with a smile.
Adagio smiled. "Thank you all of you but only one of you can go at a time."
"Who should go first then?" Rarity asked as she looked around.
"Let me go I'll fix her in five minutes." Rainbow said as she made her way to Sonata's room.
Yeah, that's not going to happen. Especially with how Rainbow acts. Rainbow gets escorted to Sonata's room. You didn't think Rainbow was going to change things, in fact, she would probably make things worse. Not even a minute later you hear a slap and then the sound of a door opening. It was Rainbow with a big red mark on her face. Yeah, you weren't surprised at all.
"I'm going to take a guess and say you didn't 'fix her in five minutes.' Like you were saying." Aria said with a smirk as she looked at Rainbow.
Rainbow looked at Aria and rolled her eyes. "Whatever, who's next?"
Rarity smirked. "Let me go only a true woman can help another."
Yeah, the woman that loves drama. Let her go, that makes total sense. You roll your eyes as Rarity goes to Sonata's room. A bit later once again Rarity comes out looking upset. Great, the drama queen failed as well.
Rarity looked at Adagio with a frown. "Sorry, darling guess I couldn't help."
Adagio gave Rarity a small smile. "It's fine Rarity, who's next."
It went like that for a while. Applejack went up next then Fluttershy and then Flash. You had tried to talk to Sonata but someone else would go instead. Five people had already gone up leaving only four of you were left. All of you guys decided to regroup and think of a plan.
Adagio looked at all of you. "We're only down to Sunset, Twilight, Pinkie, and Anon. We have to think wisely if Sonata is serious about doing it tonight we have to hurry."
Rainbow crossed her arms. "I think Pinkie should go she can make anyone feel better."
Flash shook his head. "No someone like Sunset or Anon who has known Sonata way longer should go up."
In your mind, you didn't think Sonata was going to commit suicide. But you could never be too sure. You guys weren't even sure if Sonata was really going to do it. But... Adagio was crying in Sunset's lap and she never and you meant it, NEVER cries in front of others. Even Aria was holding back tears barely keeping them from coming out. It didn't matter. She was hurting and you were going to help her no matter what.
"Anon what do you think?" Rainbow asked as she looked over at you.
Out of everyone, Pinkie was probably the best option but Sunset was also a good option. Twilight was smart at everything so she might be able to help. You wanted to help but weren't a therapist. You knew what having your heart broken felt like, but that was it. You didn't know who should go but you just wanted Sonata to be happy again.
"I don't know probably Sunset." You said shrugging your shoulders.
Adagio nodded her head as she looked at everyone. "In all favor of Sunset going up raise your hand."
Everyone raised their hands. It was probably the best decision, to be honest. As Sunset left the room and to Sonata's room, the air was tense. If Sunset couldn't change things then could you? After about four minutes Sunset came out she looked with a serious expression.
"I was able to calm her down but that was about it." Sunset said as she then sat back down.
Well, at least she was able to calm her down. Wait? How come Sonata wasn't going to therapy then? Another thing you also just realized. Where were her parents?
You turn to Adagio and Aria. "Adagio, Aria, has Sonata gone to therapy? Also, where are your guys parents at?"
"She did for a week and a half but that didn't do any good for her." Adagio looked down sadly. "And as for our parents, they had to go out of town for something, so they left Sonata to us."
Sonata's parents left their daughter that is suicidal alone? What kind of parents would do that? But, at the same time maybe they didn't know she was, heck, no one did not even you until earlier today. Well, at least everyone was here now for her.
"Well, who's next?" Flash asked then spoke up snapping you out of your thoughts.
"Can I go? I think I know a way that could help." Twilight said as she raised her glasses a bit.
"Fine but Twilight, maybe keep your brain to an amount to where Sonata can understand." Sunset said with a smile.
Twilight smiled back at Sunset. "I'll try but no promises."
Yeah, that wasn't going to happen. Twilight be less smart than she is? It'll be a miracle if that actually happened. In fact, Sonata would probably fall asleep to Twilight... which that would actually be a good thing. After ten minutes Twilight came back downstairs and she looked disappointed.
"I tried but it still didn't corroborate with her." Twilight said as she looked down in shame.
"Did ya speak in English and not in ya geek talk." Applejack asked her.
Twilight nodded. "For once yes, but that still didn't work."
"That's it!!" Rainbow yelled standing up. "Pinkie go up there and make Sonata better!"
"Okie dokie lokie. I'll make her frown turn upside down." Pinkie said as she ran up the stairs.
It felt like an hour since Pinkie had gone to Sonata's room. Finally, you heard a door open and then close. Pinkie came back with her hair down... she... failed? That's impossible this must be some sort of joke.
"Pinkie are you ok?" Sunset asked as she walked over to Pinkie.
"I couldn't help her... I tried everything but she didn't crack." Pinkie said as she looked down.
"Well Anon, it's all up to you." Sunset said as she and the other's looked at you.
You looked at them and nodded your head. "Ok, I'll do my best."
You walk up the stairs to Sonata's room, you felt nauseous as you took each step. As you walk into the room there was total darkness. In the darkness on Sonata's bed was a big lump, you took a better look and noticed that it was Sonata in a pile of blankets. You turn on the lights and the lump looks up. There you see Sonata looking back at you... she was crying.
"Hey, Sonata." You said looking at Sonata as you gave her a small smile.
Sonata looked back at you. "Hi, Anon."
You looked back at her, you could tell she was depressed just by hearing her voice. "So... how are you?" You silently cringe, you knew how was she doing!
Sonata just looked at you and then looked down. "... Anon... can I ask you a question?"
You nodded your head. "Yeah of course what is it."
Sonata then looked back at you. "Am I an idiot?"
You looked at her surprised. "What? Of course, you're not."
Sonata looked down, she was doing a lot of that you noticed. "I feel like one. I thought he loved me, I really did. The first person I had a crush on and they do this. Even though we've broken up it still hurts. Why does it hurt so much, Anon?" She then looks up at you looking for answers.
You looked at her, you knew how she felt. "Well, you're not the only one that's had their heart broken."
"Who broke your heart?" Sonata asked looking up at you surprised.
"It doesn't matter now." You said as you took a seat next to her on her bed. "They say love can be a memory that no one can steal but love can also be a pain that no one can heal."
You owned your dad for that advice. He said girls like poetry.
Sonata looked at you surprised. "Wow Anon, that's sweet of you. But as long as Dusk Shine's near I'll still feel like I'm in danger. Even if Aria and Adagio are nearby. I just want to be safe and free from him."
You looked at Sonata as you put your hand on her cheek. "Sonata look at me. No matter what I promise you, you're going to be safe you have my word."
"Thank you, Anon." Sonata said as she hugs you.
You smile, at least Sonata felt better. Sonata lets go of the hug and gives you a kiss on the cheek. You feel the heat rise to your cheeks but you shake it off.
"Thank you, Anon, good luck at the tournament." Sonata said. "Win this thing and beat Dusk Shine!"
You smiled. "Thanks, Sonata. I'll be sure to do that for you!"
As you and Sonata walked downstairs you didn't know that a new villain was coming to town.
In another town, Aaron was in a hotel. He had just got there from his airplane. His phone starts to ring and it was his wife.
"Hello." Aaron answered. "Yes, I'm in a town nearby. I'll come by in two days. Yes, I'll like to see our son. Ok, goodbye."
Only time will tell if this new villain would be a threat or not.
Finally, the day had arrived, Monday had finally rolled around. The day when the Self-Defense Club tournament was going to begin. You felt pumped up! You were walking to school with Flash and Sonata. Ever since the events of Saturday happened Sonata was finally acting like her normal self, which made you happy. Anyways, as you were headed to school you saw Dusk Shine talking with his friends. You two make eye contact for a second as he then breaks away eye contact from you. Obviously, he was still mad about what you had done to him a few weeks ago. The rest of the day couldn't go by any faster for you. You just wanted to get to the Self-Defense club and get the tournament started!
You were currently in your history class looking out the window in your class. The class that was right before lunch and then you would be going to the Self-Defense club. But as you were in class you heard the speaker go off causing you to look over at it. Normally the speaker never goes on during school. You decided to pay attention not like you had much of a choice.
"Hello students of CHS." It was Celestia. "For those who may or may not know it's that time of year. The time when the tournament in the Self-Defense club takes place. This year the tournament will happen right after lunch. Once lunch is over everyone will head to the gym where the tournament will take place. Then for the rest of the day, everyone will watch the tournament. If you don't wish to watch you will resume your normal classes of the day. That is all have a good day and I hope you look forward to watching the tournament." Celestia said as the speaker then went off.
Everyone at CHS was going to watch the tournament, no doubt about that. Wait? So right after lunch everyone will come and watch the tournament for the rest of the day. Skipping class, who wouldn't want to do that? Shoot you would've done that the past three years had you known what was going on. After a while, the bell finally rang it was finally time for lunch. You ran out of your history class and to the cafeteria.
You were one of the first people to get in line. As you got your food you headed to your table. It didn't take long before the others arrived. You were so ready for Self-Defense that you ate your food in a matter of seconds. Sonata was happily munching on her taco not giving a care in the world. She looked so happy finally being away from Dusk Shine. Now that she broke up with Dusk Shine every boy had been trying to flirt with her. She would always decline the offer though and it made sense, she probably wouldn't date someone in a while.
After what felt like a century the lunch bell rang. You apparently weren't the only one that was excited. You, Sunset, Aria, and Rainbow all jumped up and ran to the gym. It was a fun little race which nobody won as it was a four-way tie. As you looked through the gym there were mats scattered all over the gym. There were also bleachers around the mats making the gym look like a coliseum.
You headed to the locker room to put on your gi. Once you got out you saw students and teachers start to walk into the gym and down. The whole school must have been in the gym. You hadn't noticed but someone was walking behind you. A hand touched your shoulder you turn around and it was your parents! What were they doing here?
"Mom, dad! What are you guys doing here?" You asked turning to your parents surprised.
"You didn't think we would miss this did you?" Your mom said as she gave you a smile.
"This is one of the biggest events that happen at Canterlot. Everyone in town comes and watches it." Your dad said with a big smile.
"Everyone!!" You yelled looking surprised. "How? The gym can't fit the whole town."
"That's why it's being broadcasted." Your mom said as she pointed over at someone with a camera.
Broadcasted? You look around to see where the camera was and you see it. The news was here at your school. Just how big was this tournament? If you didn't feel excited before you were feeling excited now. As you were daydreaming someone was tapping on a mic. You turn and see it's Celestia and Luna on the stage with some sort of square-like thing behind them with a cloth over it.
"Hello everyone!!" Celestia said with a bright smile. "People who are here or are watching at home we are proud to announce that the tournament is about to begin. Just like every year the matches will be a first to two points until the semi-finals. The semi-finals and finals will be a first to three points. In all of my years working here I've never seen so many kids enter this tournament. This year is going to be full of exciting matches! I hope you all enjoy and with that, I am pleased to announce that the tournament has officially begun!"
The crowd cheered as Celestia then threw the cloth off the square-like thing. It was a board full of the matchups for the first round. As you were headed to the board Dusk Shine came from behind and bumped into you. You glared at him as you decided to stay behind until the crowd of students left. Sunset and Aria were already headed to their mats while you were still waiting for all the other students to move away from the board. You turn your head and see that Rainbow was already in a match will her opponent and she seemed to be crushing her opponent.
After a lot of squeezing through students, you were finally in the front of the board. Looking up and down you see your name. You're up against Snips... well that's going to be interesting. You walked over to your mat and you see Snips already there. He didn't even notice you were behind him as he was too busy looking at the girls waving at them. A teacher then comes to your guy's mat.
"Anon and Snips correct?" The teacher asked, and you two both nod your heads
"Good, I'll be your referee for your match. Like Celestia said this match will be a first to two points. Now I want you two to bow." The teacher said as you two both bowed at each other. You two then get into a stance. "Now begin!"
Snips runs at you but you dodge then you land a solid punch to the gut. He falls to the ground in pain. You looked down at him in surprise. 'That was easier than I thought'
The teacher raised his hand. "A point to Anon. 1-0."
Snips stands up holding on to his gut. You didn't even hit him that hard and he's acting like you just stabbed him. You go back to your corner of the mat and he does the same.
"Now bow." You two bow once again. "Now begin."
Instead of coming towards you, Snips decided to stay put. You then move forward and throw a kick at him. He blocks the kick somehow as he then tries to kick you but you grab his leg and trip him making him fall down in pain once again.
The teacher raised his hand once again. "Another point to Anon. 2-0. Anon is the winner!"
That was easier than you thought. You look around the gym Sunset, Aria, Rainbow, and Dusk Shine had also won their matches. You then look at the bleachers and you see the rest of the gang and your parents looking at you. They show their gratitude for your victory as they smile and cheer for you. You see the teacher walking up to you.
"Your next opponent will be whoever wins that match over there." He says as he points to another match that was taking place.
You look at where he was pointing at. What was your luck? It was Snails facing off with a small little midget kid. Not being rude just saying what you saw. You turn your attention and see that Sunset was already in her second match battling someone. You then turn and see Aria and Rainbow talking to each other, and then you turn and see Dusk Shine and Blueblood also talking across the room. The room was full of cheers and people fighting with one another. After a while of waiting you see a woman coming with Snails and Snips. Looks like your break was up. You stand up and walk to the teacher.
"Are you Anon?" The teacher asked you.
"Yes ma'am." You said looking at the teacher.
"Good I'll be your referee for this match." She said. "Now bow to each other please." You two both bow towards each other. "Now begin!"
Snails tries to land a left hook but you block it. Then you throw a right hook which hits him in the face. If he was a little further back it won't of hit him but it did. He falls to the ground holding onto his face. Did that slice of pizza you had for lunch give you superpowers or something? You weren't even hitting him that hard and they were acting like they just got hit by a car.
The teacher raises her hand. "That's a point to Anon. 1-0."
"Come on Snails you got to beat him." Snips said giving his friend some encouragement.
"I know that." Snails said as he stands up.
"Now bow please." She said as you two bowed. "Begin!"
You charge toward Snails which caught him off guard. You throw a left kick but he barely dodges it. Like a predator going after its prey, you weren't going to let him go. You try to punch him but he dodges it again. He tries to kick you but just like Snips you grab it and trip him. While he's falling you punch him in the stomach and with that Snails fall to the ground in agony.
The teacher raises her hand. "Point to Anon! 2-0! Anon is the winner!"
Snails leaves the mat with Snips but not before shaking your hand. You hear the crowd cheer behind you. Once you look back you see your friends and family cheering their hearts out. As you look around, once again Sunset, Aria, Rainbow, and Dusk Shine won their matches without a surprise. No teachers were coming toward you so you decided to take a water break. Looking at everyone's matches was getting you pumped up to battle again. Sadly, that time never came for the rest of the day. A bell rang getting everyone's attention.
"Attention please." Celestia said speaking on the mic. "We are almost out of time for the day. Anyone that has lost their matches please get off the mat. Anyone that is still in please stay on the mat and come towards me."
A lot of students left the mat. You look around it looked as though maybe thirtyish people were still left standing. You were surprised to see so few people left after just the first day. If people kept on being eliminated this fast the tournament would be over by Wednesday.
Celestia smiled as she looked at the students who still remained in the tournament. "To the students that are still in. Congratulations on making it this far. You should be proud of yourself. I hope you have a good day rest of your day and we'll see you tomorrow."
As you walked into the locker room you could only imagine what tomorrow would bring. Day one of the tournament was over, but now the competition would be even tougher than before.
It was the next and second day of the tournament. You were currently in a match with a kid named Arman. The score was currently 1-0 and you were in the lead. Sunset, Aria, and Rainbow had already won their matches for the day and you were finishing yours. But this Arman kid was getting on your nerves. Ever since you got that first point on him Arman had been running away like a baby. It's been at least five minutes since you've started battling him. Finally, Arman tried to kick you. 'Perfect' You dodge the kick and then you elbowed him in the ribs. Then you kick him in the stomach making him fall onto the mat.
"That's a point to Anon. 2-0. Anon is the winner." The teacher said.
'Finally, it was about time to' You shake his hand and he leaves the mat. Cheers fill the air in the gym as you walk off the mat. You look around the gym, there were even fewer people than there was yesterday. Your eye then catches Dusk Shine's match. He landed a solid punch to the kid's face making the kid fall to the ground in pain. He won the match and heads over to Blueblood which was still in the tournament. You then look at the clock, there were only seven minutes left in the day, your match with Arman took longer than you thought. Master Luna looked at you and she points for you to come toward her. As you were headed over to her, a whistle goes off. Everyone stops and starts to head to her.
"Attention. Whoever is still in the tournament stays on the mats, whoever lost you should still be proud of yourself." Celestia said speaking through the mic.
As you look around to see who is still in or not you see a lot of people get off the mats. You look at everyone who is still alive. Either you suck at counting or your eyes were messing with you but you only counted eight people. You, Sunset, Aria, Rainbow, Blueblood, Dusk Shine, Bulk Biceps, and one of Dusk Shine's friends.
Celestia smiled at the eight of you. "I didn't expect there to be this amount of contestants left after day two. Congratulations to the eight of you that are still in. We'll see you all tomorrow. Good luck and I hope you have a good day."
As you change back into your clothes you start to think about the tournament. Only eight people were left after day two? Now the competition would be even tougher than today. You see your family and friends and you start to head to them.
"You did awesome Anon." Your mom said with a smile.
"Thanks, mom." You said as you smiled at her.
"Now how about we celebrate you four for making it to the quarter-finals? Dinner on us." Your dad said with a big smile.
"Yeah." Everyone yells.
You start to head out of the school with your parents and you see a car. Then you see Dusk Shine get into the car. 'That's odd, normally he walks home.' Maybe a friend was giving him a ride? You didn't know but you didn't care. You just wanted to have a good time with your friends and family. But what you didn't know was that a special someone was coming to town.
Dusk Shine was headed out of the school but as he was a car pulled up. He looks to see who it is, it was his mom, Lucy. He says goodbye to Blueblood and he gets into the car.
"Hi, mom. What are you doing? You never normally come to pick me up." Dusk Shine said as she looks at his mom.
"There's someone that's coming to town. We're going to meet him at a special restaurant at 7:30." Lucy said looking at her son.
"Who's coming to town and what restaurant?" Dusk Shine asked as he got into the car.
Lucy looks at her son with a smile. "You'll find out later and plus... is it a crime for me to not pick my son up." Dusk Shine just shrugged his shoulders.
It was currently 7:00 and Dusk Shine was waiting for his mom. He really didn't care too much about why they were going to meet someone at a restaurant. A door opens and Dusk Shine turns around, it was his mom in a dress.
"Ready to go?" Lucy asked as she grabbed her keys and headed to the car.
"Yep." Dusk Shine said as he headed to the car.
Dusk Shine and his mom walk out of the house and get into her car. The car starts up and they start to drive off. Dusk Shine was looking out the window as they drove to the restaurant. He looks out of a window he sees a restaurant, It was some kind of Mexican restaurant. The car stops and his mom grabs her purse.
Lucy then opens her car door. "Come on, we're here."
Dusk Shine gets up and starts to head to the restaurant. The night was pitch black and there was a slight chill in the air. As he walks into the restaurant he sees nobody in the restaurant. He looks around until he sees a mysterious man in the corner of the room. Dusk Shine looks back at his mom and sees that his mom was walking toward the man. Reluctant about heading to the man Dusk Shine decides to follow his mom. Both Dusk Shine and his mom take a seat, there was already food on the table. The mysterious man looks up at them. The man looked familiar to Dusk Shine but it was on the tip of his tongue.
"Hello, Lucy it's nice to see you again." The man then looked at Dusk Shine. "Dusk Shine, you've grown since we've last seen each other."
Lucy smiled. "It's nice to see you too Aaron after all this time."
'So his name is Aaron' Dusk Shine thought as he looked at the man. 'How did he know about my mom's name and me? Is he like her friend or something?'
"If you don't mind me asking... who are you?" Dusk Shine asked as he looked at the man.
The man named Aaron smiled. "I'm not surprised. You were too young to remember me."
Dusk Shine continued to look at Aaron confused. "So your one of my mom's friends? Or are you one of her twelve brothers I've never seen yet."
Aaron shakes his head. He looks at Lucy and she shakes her head. Aaron looks back at Dusk Shine. "Dusk Shine... I'm your dad."
Dad? You see... Dusk Shine grew up without a father in his life. He was too young to remember his dad being there at the beginning. Dusk Shine's father left him when he was only five. How was Dusk Shine supposed to react to seeing his dad after twelve years? He missed Dusk Shine's elementary graduation, middle school graduation, and twelve whole birthdays, and now he comes back out of nowhere.
"So your mother has told me that you made it to the quarter-finals in the Self-Defense club tournament. You must feel good about making it this far." Aaron said as he continued to look at his son.
Dusk Shine nodded his head. "I do, just as long as I get to battle Anon and beat him I'll be happy."
Aaron looked at his son surprised. "Anon? His dad wouldn't happen to be Mr. Anonymous?"
Dusk Shine looked at his dad confused. "Yes... why do you ask? You know what that doesn't matter why are here after all this time."
"I guess you do deserve to hear about why I've been gone for so long." Aaron started. "Well, this is what happened before I met your mom. When I was younger I didn't grow up with parents. I lived at an orphanage my whole life. I would get made fun of every day. Once I got into high school and found out about the Self-Defense club I joined it. Fast forward to my Senior year of high school, there was this kid... that kid just so happened to be Mr. Anonymous, Anon's dad. Me and him were friends at one point... I won't say how we stopped being friends but me and him broke apart. It was the finals of the Self Defense club, it was 2-2 and either one of us needed a point to win it all. In the end, he won, but by cheating. That night I left town."
Dusk Shine looked at him surprised. "Wow, so you knew Anon's dad?"
"Sure did. Now can I finish the story?" Aaron asks while Dusk Shine nodded his head. "Anyways, after I left I went to Manehattan. That was where I found your mother. We fell in love and got married and then we had you. I left because of work and because I couldn't come back to this place. I've only come back because I want us to be a family again. 'And because I want revenge'
Dusk Shine looked at his dad confused trying to put everything together. "So you left me and mom just because you didn't want to come to Canterlot."
Aaron nodded his head. "Will you forgive me? We will finally be together after all this time."
Dusk Shine thought about it and then spoke up. "... Fine but will you come and watch me at the tournament?"
Aaron nodded and smiled. "Of course and once you win we will have a celebration."
Dusk Shine looked at his dad and smiled. "Thanks, dad..."
The third day of the tournament had arrived. Yesterday's celebration was awesome and you couldn't hold in your excitement. The Quarter-Finals! You felt good and confident about today! As you looked back at your parents you gave them a smile. Celestia and Luna were currently working on the quarter-final matchups. You were talking to Sunset and Aria about making it this far in the tournament. They too were filled with excitement. Finally, Principal Celestia and Master Luna came back they looked happy.
"Attention. The quarter-finals are about to begin. I would also like to give a hand to our eight finalists. Let's give them a hand to these kids." Celestia said as the crowd burst into cheers. "Our two-time champion Dusk Shine, runner-up Sunset Shimmer, Aria Blaze, Rainbow Dash, Blueblood, Bulk Biceps, Ryan, and Anon!"
Master Luna then took the mic. "Here are the quarter-finals!" The board then showed the matchups: Dusk Shine vs Bulk Biceps, Anon vs Ryan, Sunset vs Blueblood, and Aria vs Rainbow Dash. "Good luck and may the quarter-finals begin!"
When you entered the gym you saw that there was a big change in there. Instead of a bunch of mats, there was one big mat in the middle of the gym along with a blue corner and a red corner. Only one match was going to be held at a time for the rest of the tournament. You were sitting with your parents waiting for your match to begin. Your match was the second one for the day so you had some time to spend with your friends and family. After Dusk Shine's match, you were up next. You really didn't care about Dusk Shine's match, I mean sure you could study his fighting style, but you didn't really care.
"Attention please!" Everyone turned to see Celestia on the mic. "The first match of the day is about to begin. In the blue corner, we have our Champion Dusk Shine and in the red corner we have Bulk Biceps!"
Walking towards the mat you see Dusk Shine and Bulk Biceps. Both walked up to the mat with confidence. You had already taken a guess on who was moving on to the Semifinals. The first match Dusk Shine was going to win. You also had full confidence that you were going to take round two against Ryan. Sunset was going to win round three against Blueblood. And as for the fourth match, you honestly didn't know. Both Aria and Rainbow were strong but... you were more on Aria's side since you knew her longer. Your thoughts were interrupted when you heard a voice.
"That's a point to Dusk Shine. 1-0." Luna said over the mic.
Bulk was on the ground holding his cheek. He probably got punched or kicked in the face. You feel a tap on your shoulder, you look back, it was your mom.
"Anon honey, you should get going." Your mom said.
You nodded, she had a point. This match was probably going to be over before you knew it. You then stood up. "Yeah, I'll see you guys later."
You start to walk to the locker room. As you walk in, you head to your locker and start to put on your black gi. Once you put on your gi you hear the doors to the locker room open. You turn around, it was Bulk Biceps and he looked upset. He must have lost his match to Dusk Shine. You didn't know Bulk that well but what you knew about him was that he was a good person. He turns around and looks at you and he waves his hand.
"Good luck Anon. Hope you win your match." Bulk said.
You smiled at Bulk. "Thanks, Bulk. Hey, don't be upset you did pretty good. I'll be sure to beat Dusk Shine for us."
Bulk smiled back. "Thanks, Anon, you're the best."
You smiled. If you were feeling good before you felt even better now. You were going up against Ryan, one of Dusk Shine's friends. As you walk out of the locker room you see Ryan across the room. Dusk Shine was talking to Ryan about something. Probably a way to beat you which won't work... hopefully.
"It's time for the second match! In the blue corner, we have Ryan and in the red corner, we have Anon." Celestia announced you and Ryan. "Dusk Shine already has a spot in the Semifinals; it's time to see who will take the second spot."
You walk up to the mat along with Ryan. Ryan looks at you and you look at him. Obviously, he too was mad at you for something. But you could care less.
Luna then turned to both you and Ryan. "Please bow and begin."
You and Ryan both bow to each other. Once the match starts he jumps towards you. You throw a kick in his direction. Right before Ryan hits you, your kick made contact with his side. He falls to the ground as you stared down at him, you weren't about to lose to him.
"A point to Anon. 1-0." Luna said raising her arm in your direction. Ryan gets back up he looks at you with anger. 'Someone's salty they're losing.' You two then get into your positions. "Please bow then begin."
You and Ryan bow to each other once again. Just like in the first round Ryan tries to do a rush attack on you but you block his punches. You try to kick him but he grabs your leg. How stupid could he be, trying to use your own move against you? Before he trips you, you throw a hard right hook to his face. 'That's the problem with that move: you leave a side of your face opened to attack.' He falls to the ground in pain as you look down at him.
"A point to Anon. 2-0. Anon is the winner and he's moving on to the Semifinals." Luna said raising her hand in your direction once again.
You try to help Ryan up but he swipes your hand away. He walks off the mat and over to Dusk Shine. As you walk back to the locker room you run into Sunset.
"That was pretty good Anon." Sunset said with a smile.
"Thanks. Good luck." You said as you smile back.
Sunset nodded her head. "Thanks."
Sunset walks out and to the gym. You start to take off your gi and put your normal clothes back on. As you were changing you heard the cheers from the crowd. 'Must be a good match' Once you get changed you walk out of the locker room and to the bleachers. You take a seat in between your mom and your dad. Your parents and friends congratulate you on winning your match while Aria tells you that the score was 1-1. Blueblood took the first point with a punch to the gut, but Sunset tied it up when she kicked him in the stomach.
Aria and Rainbow got up so they could get ready for their own match. You gave them both good luck and they left. Sunset and Blueblood were going back and forth. One would defend and one would attack. They were both getting tired but they still fought. This was getting intense as neither of them wanted to lose but in the end, one had to. Sunset tries to kick him but Blueblood catches it. She tries to punch him in the face but unlike Ryan, he dodges it. But instead of tripping her he punches her in the face then he kicks her in the stomach. With that, Sunset falls to the ground.
"That's a point to Blueblood. 2-1. Blueblood is the winner." Luna said raising her hand in Blueblood's direction.
You looked down surprised, Sunset lost? Your predictions on who would win were wrong? The second strongest fighter had just gotten knocked out of the tournament. Sunset stands back up, as she shakes hands with Blueblood and then leaves the mat. You get up from your seat to go check on Sunset. As you open the locker room you see Sunset.
"Hey Sunset, you ok?" You ask.
Sunset looked at you with a small smile. "Yeah, why wouldn't I be?"
You scratch the back of your head. "Well... you did just lose."
"Yeah, I know. I gave that battle my all, why wouldn't I be happy? Blueblood was the better battler today." She looked down but then looked up at you. "Look Anon I want you to promise me that you'll win this tournament, ok?"
"Yeah, that's a promise." You said with a smile.
You leave the locker room to give Sunset some privacy. She gets out of the locker room and you two head to the bleachers. You and Sunset takes a seat thankfully you guys didn't miss much. The score was 0-1 and Aria was in the lead. Adagio said Rainbow "gave her that point" which you didn't believe. You look back to Aria's and Rainbow's match.
Aria and Rainbow walk up to the mat. They bow to each other and they begin to fight. Punch after punch, block after block, neither of them were wanting to lose a point. Rainbow tries to kick Aria which gave Aria the perfect chance to counter. She kicks Rainbow's other leg then she punches her in the stomach.
"A point to Aria. 0-1." Luna said raising her hand in Aria's direction.
"I gave you that point." Rainbow said as she gets back up.
"Sure you did." Aria said as she got back into position with a smile.
Rainbow found an opening and she uses it to her advantage. Rainbow punches Aria in the jaw making Aria fall back in pain.
"That's a point to Rainbow. 1-1." Luna said raising her arm in Rainbow's direction.
Just watching Aria and Rainbow was getting your heart racing. Their fight was causing a spark to light in your body. Aria and Rainbow bow and they start their final battle. Rainbow and Aria throw punches and kicks not letting either one get the last point.
Aria's P.O.V
Me and Rainbow were giving it our all. I didn't want to lose to her and she didn't want to lose to me. Unfortunately for her, I had to win. I want to battle with Dusk Shine for what he did to Sonata. Rainbow throws a left hook 'This is my chance!' I then throw myself down. As I then do a kick-up and I then punch her in the face.
"That's a point to Aria. 2-1. Aria is the winner." Luna said raising her hand in my direction. I smiled, I finally token down Rainbow!
Your P.O.V
Aria won! You look down at her and Rainbow are shaking hands. That was that then, the Quarterfinals were over. The four semi-finalists: You, Aria, Blueblood, and Dusk Shine. But only one of you was going to win. But there was still one question:
Aria's and Rainbow's match had just ended. It was a hard-fought battle but in the end Aria won. You were excited about the Semi-finals, but these four were the strongest out of the school. Well, Sunset too but she was out of the tournament now.
"Attention, please!" Luna said over the mic. "Can I get the four remaining contestants that are still in the tournament to come to the stage?"
You look at Aria and she looks back at you. The two of you then decided to walk over to Luna. Dusk Shine and Blueblood were also there, not like you cared though. They looked like they knew what was going on, you all did. You look back at Luna and she looks back down at the four of you with a smile on her face, it was a surprise, she was happy. This was actually the first time you saw Luna smiling, which was something else to say the least. Luna looks back at her sister and Celestia smiles and nods her head at Luna.
Luna then turns her attention to the crowd along with the remaining four contestants. "I would first like to say that everyone who didn't make it to the Semi-finals but was still in the tournament you still did amazing and fought with honor. But to the four that have made it you've shown great strength, you've truly earned your spot. We wish you all good luck in the Semi-finals and to do your best. With that, I hope everyone has a good rest of their day and we'll see you all tomorrow."
The crowd cheers as you and Aria leave the mat. You appreciated Master Luna's speech but you felt a little pressure from it. Just then your mom and dad walk up to you. They were clearly happy that you had made it this far, heck you were too. You were kinda surprised you made it this far... kinda, this was your first year in the Self-Defense club after all. You looked over and saw Sunset, you still felt bad for Sunset losing but you promised her that you would win and you planned on doing just that.
"Anon, how about will have a family celebration for you making it to the Semi-finals?" Your dad asked.
"Just the three of us?" You asked looking at him. Of course you wanted to celebrate, but just as a family?
"Your friends wouldn't mind would they?" Your mom asked as she looked at your friends.
They all look around. "No, it's perfectly fine. You guys have fun. We'll see you later Anon." Sunset said with a smile.
"Yeah, later guys." You said as you left with your parents.
Sonata, Aria, and Adagio were currently at their house celebrating Aria making it to the Semis. For once they weren't fighting like they normally would be. There were currently sitting around at the table eating the pizza their mom had brought for dinner.
"Aria your dad called he's proud that you made it to the Semis." Ms. Dusk said as she came back into the room after being on the call with someone.
Aria looked over at Ms. Dusk and rolled her eyes. "So now he decides to call when I do something right."
Ms. Dusk looked at Aria with a small smile, she knew why Aria was acting like this. "Aria you know your father loves you. He just well... you know."
"He didn't want me yeah I know." Aria rolled her eyes once again. "The same goes for Adagio." Adagio who was peaceful eating a slice of pizza stopped and glared at Aria. She didn't need to be reminded of her own dad problems.
She wasn't wrong. Both Aria and Adagio's dads left... well Aria's did. Aria's dad just didn't want kids in the first place. Adagio's dad sadly got killed when he was trying to help someone from a fire. He was able to save them but he died a hero that day. Sonata, Aria, and Adagio all had the same mom. They just didn't have the same father. Now although they were half-sisters they were still sisters to each other no matter what.
Adagio then looked down at her pizza slice. "Can we just forget about him? It's supposed to be a celebration not feel all sad about family issues."
Ms. Dusk nodded her head. "Yes, your right Adagio. Let's just have a good time. Now... let's have some cake shall we?"
"Yeah!" The girls said.
Sonata was outside looking at the night sky full of stars. She always did like to see the stars twinkle in the night, they were so pretty to her, something she wished she was. The back door opens making Sonata snap out of her trance and turn around. It was Aria and Adagio as they then take a seat down next to her.
"Looking at the stars again, Sonata." Adagio said as she took her seat.
Sonata nodded her head as she went back to looking up at the stars. "Yeah clears my mind from everything."
There was silence. All three of them were looking at the stars above. Adagio looked at Aria and Aria looks back. Adagio mouths something to Aria and she just shrugs.
Adagio then turns her attention to Sonata. "So Sonata... do you think you'll ever get another boyfriend any time soon?"
"No, I mean I'm still now sure if I'm done with Dusk Shine if-" Sonata tried to say but gets interrupted.
"What!?" Aria yelled as she stood up. She couldn't believe what she was hearing from Sonata. "What do you mean not over Dusk Shine? After all, he did to you. He must have hit you so hard you lost your mind."
"He was her first love Aria. You just don't know what it's like to go through that." Adagio said
"... He wasn't my first love I think." Sonata said matter-of-factly. The girls turn their heads to Sonata who was still looking up at the night sky.
Adagio and Aria both turn to each other and then back at Sonata. "What do you mean? How do you not know if he was your first love or not?"
"You know when we moved to the new elementary school in sixth grade?" Sonata turned to her sisters who nodded their heads. "Before I started to like Dusk Shine we met Flash and Anon. I felt something when we first met with them."
"You felt something?" Adagio said while she looked at Aria with a smirk.
Aria also looked at Sonata with a smirk of her own. "Yeah Sonata. What was it? Which one was it Flash? Or was it Anon?"
Sonata looked at Aria and then at the ground. "I-I... it was Anon. But I don't even know if it was love or not, I just felt something when I saw him."
"Anon... interesting." Adagio said as she rubbed her hand on her chin. She needed to know more about this.
Sonata looked at Adagio and sighed, she already knew what Adagio was doing but it wasn't going to work. "Dagi you know even if there was something going on he wouldn't like someone like me."
'If only she knew' Adagio and Aria thought as they looked at their sister. They both knew that Anon liked Sonata, but it wasn't their place to tell her.
"Sonata, Anon isn't Dusk Shine, and plus he's our friend. He won't hurt you and I can promise you that." Adagio said as she put a hand on Sonata's shoulder.
"He'll probably be just like every other boy at CHS. He'll only like me for my looks and that's it." Sonata said as she looked down at the ground in shame.
Aria also put her hand on Sonata's opposite shoulder. "Anon isn't like that. He likes you far more than just your looks. Out of most of the boys at CHS, Anon, and Flash like you more than looks."
"So... I'm going to ask again, do you still like Dusk Shine or do you like Anon?" Adagio asked seriously. She needed to know, the suspense was killing her. She needed to know the tea from Sonata.
Sonata tried to think of her answer but she couldn't. "I'm... not sure. I like the both of them."
"How about this?" Aria started, getting Sonata's attention. "I want you to close your eyes. Then I want you to think... think about all the good things about Dusk Shine and Anon. The one you think of more is the person you like."
Sonata looked at Aria confused, would that even work? Sonata decided to do as Aria said and closes her eyes. She starts to think of all the good things with Anon and Dusk Shine.

'SPEAK LIKE THAT TO ME AGAIN AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS!'
'Sonata I promise you'll be safe you have my word.'
As she thinks back to all the memories of you and Dusk Shine she finally finds out the answer. All of the thoughts she could ever think of Dusk Shine were bad. But all the thoughts she had of Anon were good. She couldn't believe it.
Sonata looked surprised as she looked up at her sisters. "I... I like Anon. I can't believe it took me that long to realize my feelings."
Adagio smiled as she looked at Sonata. Sonata had finally figured out her answer. "See was that so hard? Now all you have to do is to tell him how you feel."
"I have to?" Sonata asked looking at Adagio.
Aria rolled her eyes. "Well, not right now but probably soon."
"Anon will be good for you Sonata." Adagio said with a smile. "Unlike Dusk Shine he'll actually love you for who you are and treat you like a princess. Not just for your looks but for all of you and for so much more."
"Adagio..." Sonata said starting to tear up.
"We're sister's no matter what. I love you Sonata I hope you know that. And I know Anon will too." Adagio said as she got up from her seat.
"So do I Sonata. I may be rude at times but that's just showing you, my love. I promise we'll take out Dusk Shine. Then you'll tell Anon how you feel." Aria said as she too got up from her seat.
"You guys..." Sonata said as she hugs both Adagio and Aria full-on crying in their hold. "I love you guys too. You'll beat Dusk Shine, Ari, then I'll tell Anon.
Adagio smiled as she looked down at her sister. "Good. And we'll be there with you all the way."
It was the next day and it was time for the Semi-Finals to begin. You walk into the gym with your gi already on, full of confidence for the Semi-Finals to begin.
"Hello ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls it's time for the Semi-finals to begin. We have only four contestants left: Dusk Shine, Blueblood, Aria, and Anon. By the end of the day only two will be left after the Semi-Finals. Who will win and move on to the finals we're gonna have to find out?" Celestia announced causing the crowd to roar in anticipation.
Luna then took the mic from Celestia. "With that, we are pleased to announce the matchups: first we have Blueblood vs Anon, then we have Dusk Shine vs Aria. The contestants will have fifteen minutes to get ready. Good luck."
So that was it huh? You were up against Blueblood. As you went over to get ready you were sure everyone only had one thing on their mind:
It was the next day and you were currently in a locker room with Aria as the two of you were getting ready for the Semis. As you were putting on your gi you tried to think of a plan to beat Blueblood. Your match was the first one of the day so you didn't have much time to strategize. The Semi-finals and the finals went to three points and no longer the two-point battles you were used to. Once you put your gi on you looked at yourself in the mirror you felt confident that you could win but with Blueblood's erratic movements, it'll be a difficult battle. But no matter what you had to win, for your friends, family, yourself, Sunset, and especially for Sonata. Aria looked at you and smiled. 'He's all fired up, go out there and win it all Anon.'
Dusk Shine and Blueblood were currently in the other locker room as they were putting on their gi. The two of them were talking about the Semi-Finals, but Dusk Shine was mostly talking about Blueblood's match against Anon.
"So Anon's still in, same with Aria." Blueblood said as he finished putting on his gi.
Dusk Shine finished putting on his gi and looked at Blueblood as he rolled his eyes. "It doesn't matter. Look I want you to do something for me."
"Sure what is it?" Blueblood asked as he turned his attention to Dusk Shine.
Dusk Shine turned and looked Blueblood dead in his eyes. Blueblood could tell that whatever Dusk Shine was going to tell him was going to be important. "I want you to break Anon."
Blueblood looked at Dusk Shine in surprise. "What? I'll be disqualified if I do. I can beat Anon and you can beat Aria."
Dusk Shien rolled his eyes. "I don't care if you can or can't beat him. I want him broken."
Blueblood looked at Dusk Shine in surprise, he didn't care if his best friend got in trouble? Blueblood looked at Dusk Shine back with a serious expression, he just had to know one thing. "And what if I don't?"
Dusk Shine looks up at Blueblood and then walks right up to his face. "We don't want anything to happen to your little sister do we?" Dusk Shine whispered in Blueblood's ear.
Blueblood took a step back from Dusk Shine, his eyes full of fear. He was a fair person but when it involved his family then things change. Dusk Shine could beat Blueblood in a fight and Blueblood knew it, Dusk Shine was just too powerful to beat in a fight. Ever since his dad left Dusk Shine, Dusk Shine changed for the worse. Blueblood knew Dusk Shine better than anyone else, even his own family.
On the inside Dusk Shine was smiling to himself. Everything was going according to plan for Dusk Shine. His dad had told him that he wanted Anon broken for what Anon's dad did to him in the past. And Dusk Shine didn't have a problem with that plan, he too wanted revenge on Anon and what better way than to see your worst enemy on the ground crying in pain? Now all he needed was for Blueblood to do the deed for them. Then Dusk Shine would come in and beat Anon once and for all.
Blueblood sighed, he hated to do it but he there was nothing else he could do. Dusk Shine had him trapped and he knew it. "Fine, what do you want me to do to Anon?"
Dusk Shine, Blueblood followed him without putting up a fight. "Break his leg or... at least make it hard for him to walk."
Blueblood nodded his head as he looked down. "Ok, I can do that."
In the other room, you and Aria were currently talking before the Semi-Finals began. The two of you were ready and were sort of just checking on one another. The Semi-Finals were a big thing so of course you guys were a bit nervous, to say the least. You two were both going up against strong opponents too, you had to face Blueblood who had just defeated Sunset while Aria had to face off against the champion, Dusk Shine.
Aria looked at you and smiled. "Anon no matter what you defeat Blueblood and I'll defeat Dusk Shine."
You smiled and nodded back. "Yeah. But it won't be as easy as it sounds."
Aria looked at you seriously, you could tell she was serious about her match. Why wouldn't she be? The dude who literally abused her sister for years, of course, she was serious about battling Dusk Shine. "Trust me I'll win. For me, you, and especially Sonata. You're not the only one that's going to win this for Sonata."
You looked at Aria in surprise. Aria knew you liked Sonata as well? Or was she just saying that? "How did you know and how long have you known?"
Aria looked at you and smiled. "Once Sonata asked Dusk Shine I found out. The way I found out was just by the way you would look at her during class. You looked like a love-sick kid. Well... that technically was what you were."
You rolled your eyes. "Yeah, yeah, make fun of me. Let's see what you look like when you fall in love."
"Even if I do fall in love you won't know it. Your lucky Sonata's dense your not exactly stealthy about it. Our teacher literally had to tell you to quit looking at her and pay attention." Aria laughed as she remembered the memory.
You scratched the back of your head as you blushed. "Yeah, that was embarrassing."
You then hear a bell. 'Guess our little break is over' You look back at Aria she nods. Standing up you feel the pressure of this match.
"Good luck Anon." Aria gave you a smile.
You look back at Aria and smiled back. "Yeah, I'll see you in the Finals."
Walking out of the locker room you hear the roar of the crowd come to life. With ambition in your eyes, you walk onto the mat. Blueblood walks up to the mat and he looks like he has something planned. From what you remember Blueblood defends then he attacks. So if you stayed on the defensive he'll have to come to you.
"In the red corner, we have Blueblood and in the blue corner, we have Anon. This will be a first to three points. Please bow and then you can begin." Luna said as the two of you get into position.
The two of you then bow to each other. You stay back from Blueblood but instead of being on the defense, he's attacking you. He jumps in the air as you try to dodge but he hits you. Blueblood slams and you mean it slams his foot into your leg. You fall on the ground holding onto your leg in pain.
You didn't think it would hurt this much but it did. It was as if you got stabbed then shot and ran over by a truck. Luna runs over to you to see if you're ok. Celestia was currently calling for the school nurse to get to the gym. Your mom and dad and your friends get up from their seats and head over to you to check on you.
Luna raised her hand. "Due to illegal contact, Blueblood is disqualified. Anon will move on to the Finals. We will now take a five-minute timeout due to an injury."
As the nurse picks you up you hear the crowd boo at Blueblood. They were probably just as mad as you were. Why did Blueblood do that to you? Well... you actually knew why. Mostly definitely Dusk Shine told him to do it. You were happy that you were going to the Finals but it didn't feel like a true win. It felt more like a pass to the Finals.
You were currently in the school nursery. Your leg was still hurting but it wasn't as bad as it was before. A door opens and you look up to see that it was your friends and your parents, none of them look happy.
"Anon are you ok? Is your leg doing alright?" Your mom asked looking at you.
You looked at your mom and nodded your head. "Yeah, I'm fine. My leg still hurts but it's better than before."
"That Blueblood, we should've expected him to do something like that." Rainbow said as she looked down. She was mad, but why wouldn't she be? Her friend got hurt because of some idiot.
Everyone agreed with her. You look at them and you saw that Sonata looked upset. She probably thinks this was all her fault since she broke up with Dusk Shine and Blueblood was his friend. You look at the clock the five minutes were almost up. Aria would have to get to her match in a little bit or else she would be disqualified and you knew she didn't want that to happen.
"You guys should get going. You don't want to be late for your match Aria." You said as you looked up at all your friends and family.
Everyone turned their attention to Aria who nodded her head. "Yeah... I'll make sure to beat Dusk Shine. Hope you get better Anon."
Sonata looks at you surprised. "You're not coming with us?"
You shook your head. "No. I'll want to stay here for a while. I'll be there as soon as I can. I'll see you guys later."
Your mom nodded her head. "Ok, we'll see you later Anon."
Your friends and family leave the room leaving you all by yourself. The nurse told you it would at least take a week for your leg to be fully healed which sucked. She also said that you shouldn't be on your leg so she gave you a wheelchair. It took a while to get the hang of it but you figured it out. As you got closer to the gym you could hear the cheering from the gym. As you turn the corner to the gym you see Sonata waiting by the door. Was she waiting for you this whole time?
"Sonata?" You asked.
Sonata jumps back in surprise. "Hey, Anon."
"Have you been here waiting for me?" You asked Sonata looking at her confused.
"This is my fault that you got hurt. I'm so sorry you got hurt because of me." Sonata said starting to tear up.
"This wasn't your fault. Dusk Shine probably told Blueblood to do this and he did. You had nothing to do with it. Come on, smile, you never did look good crying." Sonata looks at you and nods. "So... how's the match?" You asked trying to change the subject.
Sonata wipes her tears away. "Thanks, Anon. Dusk Shine's in the lead 2-0. Aria's giving it her all but even that isn't enough to beat him. How's your leg doing?"
You silently cursed, you couldn't believe that Aria was losing. "The nurse said it would take at least a week to be fully healed. I'm going to tell Master Luna about what happened. I'm sure she'll cancel the tournament for a week after what happened."
"You need help getting into the gym?" Sonata asked tilting her head with that cute smile of hers.
You could do it yourself... but where's the fun with that. "Sure, thanks Sonata." Sonata walks behind up and starts to push the wheelchair.
Once you get back your mom looks back at you. "You feeling any better, Anon?"
You nodded your head. "Yeah, I just have to stay off my leg for a week."
You look at Dusk Shine's and Aria's match. They're going back and forth, neither of them finding an opportunity to strike. You wanted to tell Luna about your injury so you start to head towards her. As you get closer Celestia sees you and walks over to you.
"Hello, Anon. I hope your leg is better." Celestia said as she looked at you.
You nodded your head. "It is but the nurse said I have to stay off of it for a week. So is there any way you can postpone the tournament?"
Celestia nodded her head. "Of course. We don't want you overdoing yourself. I'll be sure to make the announcement."
"Thanks, Principal Celestia." You said with a smile.
Just then a loud sound goes off you turn around. Dusk Shine had just kicked Aria in the jaw.
"That's a point to Dusk Shine. 3-1. Dusk Shine is the winner. The Finals will be between Dusk Shine and Anon. But due to an injury on Anon's part, the finals will have to be postponed to next Friday. Goodbye and get ready for the Finals." Luna said over the mic.
Aria gets up from the mat and looks at you. You look at her, she was crying. That was the first time you've ever seen her cry. She's obviously upset that she lost to Dusk Shine. You roll over to her.
"I'm sorry Anon. I tried to beat him but I couldn't." Aria said as she looked down.
You looked over at Aria and smiled. "It's fine you gave it your all. I'll beat him for the both of us."
She nods and walks back to the locker room. You hear the news reporter speak from behind you.
"The Finals will be between the champion Dusk Shine vs the challenger Anon. Who will win and be the Champion? We're going to have to find out." The news reporter said as she spoke to the camera. The new lady then turned around and saw you. "Let's get word from the challenger." She said as she walked up to you. "Anon, tell us your thought after moving on to the Finals by suffering an injury in the Semi-Finals? And tell us, do you have any idea on how you're going to take down the champion?"
You look at the lady and then at the camera. "Well it definitely wasn't what I was expecting to happen but things happen I guess. But as for Dusk Shine, I don't exactly have a plan, I'm just going to go in the battle with everything I have!"
The news lady nods her head. "You have it here folks, Anon the challenger is all fired up to battle against Dusk Shine. This is sure to be one amazing match, we wish you Anon the best of luck in your match."
You nod your head as you start to roll away. You then start thinking about what the news reporter said. Now it was all up to you to win. For Aria, for Sunset, for you, and especially for...
It had been a week since the Semi-finals and it was the day before your match with Dusk Shine would be. Your leg had gotten better, it still hurt but at least you could walk. You were still worried if it was enough to battle with but you weren't going to wait any longer to battle Dusk Shine. It was midday Sunday and you were currently in your room trying to think of a plan. Dusk Shine wasn't just going to be a walk in the park for you to win against. He was the champion for a reason and he seemed to prove it throughout the whole tournament, he had only lost one point and that was to Aria. Your door then opens, and as you turn around to expect your mom or dad you see Flash, Twilight, and Sunset. Why were they here, at this time?
"Hey, Flash, Sunset, Twilight, why are you guys here?" You asked as you got up from your bed.
"What? We can't come to our friend's house?" Sunset asked as she gave you a joking smile.
You gave her a joking smile back, you knew that she was just messing around with you. "No, of course not. You can come over whenever you want, I just want to know why you're here is all."
Flash went over to you and wrapped his arm around your neck. "We came so we could help you train for the finals. You're going to need all the help you can get if you want to be able to defeat Dusk Shine."
You looked at him surprised as you then turn to Twilight and Sunset who smiled and nodded back. "Wow, thanks, guys." You then looked down at the ground. "Yeah, I don't really have a strategy to beat Dusk Shine."
"Fortunately for you, you have us." Twilight said as she pushed her glasses up.
You, Flash, and Sunset nodded your heads as Flash then gave you a smile. "Anon we never got to fight since I didn't join the club this year, so what do you say? Want to have some one on one, just you and me? It'll be some good practice for you for tomorrow."
You looked back at Flash with a smile. "Yeah, I'll take you on."
"And while you two spare I can take notes on Anon's fighting style." Twilight then suddenly pulled out a notebook and pencil. "Then I can give you valuable information on how to get better and a plan to beat Dusk Shine."
You looked at Twilight surprised. "You've taken notes on Dusk Shine?" If she could give you those notes about Dusk Shine that would be a big help to you.
Twilight looked up from her notes. "I took notes on everyone." You rolled your eyes, even after all these years Twilight was still the same as ever. Of course, she would have taken notes on everyone, that's just who she was.
"Never change, Twilight." You said with a smile. "So from your notes who has a better chance of winning between me and Dusk Shine then?" You wanted to know, if you had any sort of chance then that would be good.
Twilight looked at her notes and did some quick calculations as she then looked back up at you with a frown on her face. You then frowned back, that wasn't good. "Dusk Shine has an 89% of winning while you only have a 25% of winning."
You thought about it, 25%? 25% wasn't bad, but it wasn't good. But regardless of how it looked like you would still win no matter what. "Oh, ok. That's pretty good. Oh well, come on Flash let's make me stronger."
Flash looked at you with a smile. "Yeah right behind you Anon."
You and Flash had started doing some one on one sparing battles. He would win some and you would win some. Twilight would give some insight into what you were doing wrong and what to do better. While Sunset was telling Flash to act more like Dusk Shine when battling. He tried his best to do that but he couldn't. You hadn't known it but it's been almost three hours since the two of you guys started training.
You took a water bottle and took a big sip out of it. "Thanks for helping me, you guys. It means a lot, I just have to beat Dusk Shine."
"Don't worry about it Anon it's fun. Plus from what Twilight's saying you've gotten stronger." Sunset said as she looked down at Twilight's notes.
Twilight looked up from her notes with a big smile. "It's true now your chance of winning has gone to a 75%. If you keep this up you could win."
You nod your head too tired to talk. But that was good, definitely an improvement from earlier, now you had an even better shot at beating Dusk Shine and it was all thanks to your friends helping you out. If it wasn't for them who knows where you would've been? You turn over to Flash who was taking a sip of water for himself. "Flash you ready or are you getting tired."
Flash looked up at you as he stood up. "Nah, I'm good. But instead of training, we do a serious match. First, to 3, Sunset will be the referee. What do you say Anon or are you scared?"
You rolled your eyes at Flash. As if you would ever be scared of Flash. "Yeah let's go."
Sunset then stood in front of you two to act as the referee. "Ok, you guys know what to do. Bow and you can begin."
You both bow and the match begins...
With Adagio, Aria, and Sonata
Adagio and Aria were sitting down on the couch in the living room. They were both on their phones not knowing that Sonata had entered the room. Sonata sneaks up on Aria and pulls on Aria's pigtails.
"Ow!" Aria yelled as she looked back at Sonata. "What was that for Sonata?!"
Sonata smiled as she took a seat on the couch. "No reason, whatcha doing?"
"I was relaxing until you decided to pull on my hair." Aria said as she glared at Sonata as she touched her hair. It hurt now that Sonata decided to pull her hair.
Adagio looked at her two sisters and sighed, not looking up from her phone. "Will you two calm down? Is it so hard to not get on each other's nerves for one day?"
Sonata looked at Adagio and then down at the ground. "... Can I ask you guys something?"
"Fine. But what is it." Aria said still annoyed at her sister for pulling her hair.
Sonata looks down at the ground. Her normal attitude changed from happy to sad. "Do you really think Anon can beat Dusk Shine?" Sonata asked as she looked up at her sisters.
Aria looks back at Sonata in surprise. Adagio looks up from her phone and at Sonata as well. Why would she say something like that? Did she just not believe that Anon could win against Dusk Shine?
Adagio stood up and she went over to Sonata. "Sonata, Anon made a promise to us that he would beat Dusk Shine. Has he ever let us down before?"
Sonata looked at Adagio and then back down at the ground. "I know he promised and I believe him. It's just that Dusk Shine is really strong, I of all people know that." Sonata held her body and her sisters knew why, she still hadn't forgotten about everything that Dusk Shine had done to her.
Aria and Adagio both looked at each other. They had to find a way to make Sonata feel better. Being the older sister, Adagio decided to help out. "It doesn't matter if Dusk Shine's strong. Anon will win no matter what. Sonata you just have to believe and trust in Anon."
Sonata's attitude changes back to happy. "Yeah, your right. Anon promised so he'll win. Let's all cheer for him as loud as we can."
"Yeah!" Adagio and Aria yelled as they smiled at one another. They were glad that their sister was happy again, and they hoped that it would stay that way. 'Win against Dusk Shine tomorrow, Anon'
Back to You...
The score was tied at 2-2. You would get a point and then Flash would get a point. Flash was giving it his all while you were using Twilight's advice. He was a good opponent for you but you were going to win if you had anything to say about it. Flash tried to kick you, but you dodged it with ease. With all the training your reflexes had gotten a lot faster. You then tackled Flash on the ground and you playfully hit him so as to not accidentally hurt him. Mostly because you didn't have boxing gloves as the school did and you didn't want to accidentally hurt Flash even though he deserved it a bit for the things he had done in the past.
"A point to Anon. 3-2. Anon is the winner." Sunset said as she raised her hand in your direction.
"Nice match Flash." You said as you give him a hand.
"You to Anon." Flash said as he grabs your hand.
"So Twilight how is Anon doing?" Sunset said as she turned her head toward Twilight who was writing down some notes.
Twilight looks up from her notes and nods her head. "He's definitely gotten better. Dusk Shine will have a run for his money against Anon. Both Anon's speed and strength have increased. Although I'm probably not the only one that has taken notes on you Anon. Dusk Shine has probably been watching you ever since the beginning. You're going to have to use a move that Dusk Shine hasn't seen before and surprise him."
You nodded your head, you knew Twilight was right. Just then your mom came into the backyard. "Anon it's getting late your friends will have to go home soon. Or they can call their parents and see if they can stay for dinner."
Sunset then stood up and shook her head. "No, it's fine Ms. Anonymous. I was about to leave anyways."
Twilight then stood up grabbing her things. "Yeah, my mom's gonna want me home soon."
Flash nodded as he stood up. "Same for me."
Your mom looked at your friends and nodded her head. "Oh, that's alright. Have a safe trip home."
"We will thanks." Sunset, Twilight, and Flash said.
"We better get going Anon, we'll see you tomorrow." Flash said as he turned back to you.
You nodded your head. "Yeah, I'll see you guys tomorrow. Thanks for coming over and helping me."
Flash smiled. "Your welcome Anon. Be sure to beat Dusk Shine for us."
"I will, I promise." You said with a smile as Flash and the girls leave.
The Next Day...
"Ladies and gentlemen welcome to the finals of the Self-Defense Club tournament! After being postponed for an injury we are finally back. Today we have Dusk Shine vs Anon. These two have shown their strength by making it to this very moment." Celestia said over the mic.
Inside of the gym, a new reporter was giving the news for the match. "We are currently in Canterlot High School where we will see Dusk Shine the champion vs Anon the challenger fight for the chance at being declared the champion of the Self-Defense Club tournament. Rumor has it these two got into a fight in the middle of the halls before the tournament began."
You were in the locker room as you put on your gi along with everyone but Sonata who had to use the restroom. They were giving you a prep talk before the finals.
"Look Anon, Sonata's having doubts about you winning against Dusk Shine. But you're going to prove her wrong right?" Adagio said as she put her hands on her shoulders.
You nodded your head. "It's understandable that she'll have doubts but yeah I'll win." Heck, even you were starting to have doubts that you could win against Dusk Shine. He was the champion after all, and he definitely had the strength to prove why he had the title to his name.
"Do it for me and Aria as well." Sunset said as she and Aria took a step forward.
You looked at Aria and Sunset and smiled at them. "Yeah."
"And most importantly..." Flash said as he then let out a big smile.
"Most importantly...?" You asked not understanding what Flash had meant.
Flash looks at the others and they all smile. "DO IT FOR SONATA!!" They yelled in unison.
You looked at your friends and family and sighed. "Let me guess... you all knew I liked Sonata because of the way I look at her or something like that?"
They all nod their heads except for your mom. You didn't even need an answer from her, she probably knew from her motherly instincts. It wouldn't be the first time her motherly instincts were right about something. 'Note to self learn how to be less suspicious about looking at Sonata.' At that moment the bell rang, your time was up, it was time to go out there and battle.
"Well, I better get going. I'll be sure to win for all of you." You said as you stood up and started to leave the locker room.
But what you didn't know was that Sonata had heard everything you and your friends and family were talking about. She looked at you as you headed to the gym, as she then looked down at the ground with a small blush. 'He's doing this all for me.'
You get out of the locker room and into the gym where cheers fill the air. You look and see Dusk Shine on the other side of the gym. "In the red corner, we have Dusk Shine our champion and in the blue corner we have Anon the challenger." Luna said as the two of you walked up to the mat. "These two have battled their way to the top. But now only one can remain and be declared our champion."
"This is a battle of history. Twenty years ago two members of their families battled just like they are. Anon's dad, Mr. Anonymous, and Dusk Shine's dad Aaron Shine." Celestia said as the crowd cheered at that.
Wait! What did she just say? You look at Dusk Shine and he sees that you're surprised and he smiles. When did Aaron get back to town? You look in the crowd and see your dad, he too was trying to find Aaron. You quickly turn your head to see Dusk Shine's mom with a man you've never seen before sitting next to her. That must be Aaron!
Luna then walked up on the mat and in the middle of you and Dusk Shine. "This will be a first to three points. The first person to three points will be our champion."
You and Dusk Shine don't need to be told to bow. You both bow to each other and get ready for battle. Your heart was beating like a drum, this was without a doubt the biggest moment of your life. The crowd was silent, waiting for the match to begin. You could hear a fly if you listened hard enough. Luna looks at the both of you and then at the crowd.
"THUS HERE AND NOW I PROCLAIM..." You stared at Dusk Shine in front of you. 'No matter what, after everything you did to some many people and especially Sonata...'
"THAT THE FINAL MATCH OF THE TOURNAMENT..." Dusk Shine started at you in front of him. 'Try as you might, you can never defeat me. When this match is over you'll be crying home to your mommy.'
"HAS OFFICIALLY BEGUN!!!!" Luna yelled raising her hand. 'I WILL DEFEAT YOU!'
And with that, you and Dusk Shine charged toward one another! The final match of the tournament had just begun...
Once Luna said that little speech, you launched yourself toward Dusk Shine. You weren't going to give him even a chance to get ready, you were going to give him the pressure from the beginning. You throw a punch but he dodges it with ease. Not giving him a second to recover you throw another punch at him and then a kick. He dodges and then tries to hit a right hook but you block hit. Then he tries to kick you but you catch his foot. But instead of tripping him, you tackle him to the ground. He tries to get back up but you weren't going to let that happen so you punch him in the face. You may or may not of 'accidentally' hit him in the nose. Dusk Shine's nose starts to bleed because of it. He holds his nose as he looks up and glares at you.
"That's a point to Anon. 1-0. Anon is in the lead." Luna said raising her hand in your direction.
The crowd roars to life. You can hear your friends and family cheering louder than anyone. You look at Dusk Shine and see that he gets back up and wipes his nose off. Luna walks over to him to make sure he's still able to fight. 'One point down two to go' Thankfully you were able to get the first point off of him, but you know he wasn't going to go down that easy. That battle was too easy and you knew it, he most likely gave you that point. Knowing Dusk Shine he'll probably come back at you with double the power.
"Please bow." Luna said. You both bow, looking at each other with pure hatred. "Begin!!" Luna yells.
This time Dusk Shine jumps toward you surprising you and catching you off guard. He tries to punch you but you block it, he then quickly tries to uppercut you. You dodge it, and after that, you try to kick him. He dodges it by doing a front flip, while he does the front flip, he's able to catch you off guard and he kicks you in the stomach. You feel a sharp pain as you hit the ground. You look up at him in surprise, so that was the power of the champion, huh?
"That's a point to Dusk Shine 1-1." Luna said raising her hand in Dusk Shine's direction.
You hit the ground in anger. You didn't think he was able to do flips like that. As you look back up you see Dusk Shine looking down at you and smiles. 'Yeah just wait until I knock that smile off your face then we'll see who's smiling,' The score was now tied one all and the crowd was loving it. You were going to have to be a bit more observant from this point on.
"Please bow." Luna said. You both bow. 'Not going to let that happen again' You weren't going to let Dusk Shine win if you had anything to say about it. "Begin." Luna yelled.
Dusk Shine tries to land a quick axe kick on you but you block it. Using your move you always use you try to sweep his leg. Once again he moves out of the way by doing another front flip. Unfortunately for him, you had already known that he was going to do that. As he lands you punch him with your left hand on his side, then with your right hand, you punch him in the face. As a final move, you sweep his leg. He doesn't expect that and as a result, he falls to the ground. You didn't necessarily have to make him fall on the ground but you wanted to. You wanted him to look up at you and show who he was going to lose to.
"That's a point to Anon. 2-1. Anon is in the lead." Luna yelled raising her hand in your direction.
The crowd was louder than an airplane in the gym. You can barely hear anything because of them. Dusk Shine gets back up but he didn't mad that he was losing in fact he looked... happy? Dusk Shine must have something planned if he's happy about losing. 'Must be prepared for anything in this battle' You looked at Dusk Shine, you were going to have to play it safe in this battle as you didn't know what he was planning.
"Let's go Anon!" A voice yelled.
You look back at the crowd and see that it's your friends and family cheering for you.
"A-N-O-N! WHAT DOES THAT SPELL? ANON!" Pinkie yelled.
Pinkie, Sonata, Aria, and Adagio are in cheerleader outfits cheering for you. Now that was something surprising to see but you felt happy to know you had such good friends. You looked at them, they were doing all of this for you. Now a day's it was hard to find good friends like that. Knowing your friends and family were cheering you on made you want to win for them.
"Please bow." Luna said as you and Dusk Shine both of you bow. You still knew that Dusk Shine was up to something or had a plan. All you had to do was to get one more point and this match would be history. You were determined to win this battle. "Begin."
This time no one tries to do a rush attack on the other. Dusk Shine was actually going on the defense for the first time this whole tournament. You didn't want to come to him but he wasn't coming to you. Was this the plan he had? By playing on the defensive and letting you come to him? One of you was going to have to make a move sooner or later it's just that neither of you was going to be the first one.
After about four minutes of waiting you decide to make the first move. You throw a punch to Dusk Shine's side but he blocks the hit. You then try to uppercut him but he blocks it again. You continue to try to punch him but Dusk Shine just blocks it. He keeps blocking your hits, but he still wouldn't hit you. Finally, you decide if a punch wouldn't work maybe a kick might work. How wrong you were. Once you try to kick him he grabs your leg. He jams his elbow into your leg, your not fully healed leg to be exact. To make things worse he punches you in the face. Even though it had been a week your leg still wasn't fully healed. You fall to the ground holding on to your leg in pain.
"That's a point to Dusk Shine. 2-2." Luna yelled raising her hand in Dusk Shine's direction.
The crowd 'boos' at Dusk Shine for what he had done. The weird thing was that Luna doesn't do anything to him. She just gives him a warning not to do that again. You try to stand back up but the pain was just excruciating to tell with. Dusk Shine bends down to get to your level and look at you right in the eyes.
Dusk Shine continued to look at you and smirked. "Come on Anon I thought you said you were going to win? I guess Sonata isn't the only failure at this school. You're nothing Anon, Sonata's nothing, your dad's nothing. I own you Anon, I'm going to be the winner of this thing! Stand up Anon or are you scared? I wouldn't be surprised if you were, you got lucky to make it this far in the tournament. Now stand up so I can beat you in front of the whole town!"
"Come on Anon get up!" Your mom yelled.
"Get up and prove to everyone that you're number one!" Aria yelled.
"Anon! Anon! Anon!" Sonata yelled starting to chant.
"ANON! ANON! ANON! ANON! ANON!" The crowd cheers.
You look at everyone in the room, they were cheering for you. You start to slowly get back up. You were going to beat Dusk Shine and win the tournament. For your family, your friends, and especially... Sonata. You slowly get back up and you're able to stand back up on your feet. The crowd cheers as you get back up. You're limping a bit but your up. You turn around and look at Dusk Shine as he just smiles like always.
"I made it this far and I'm going to win this thing!!" You yelled as you throw your hand in the air.
The crowd yells in response. No matter what you were going to win. You had one final chance to beat Dusk Shine, so you had a special trick up your sleeve. He won't know what even hit him.
"Please bow." Luna yelled as you both bowed.
You were smiling and Dusk Shine looks confused. You get into a stance, one of your legs is in the air and the other is on the ground, and your hands are also in the air. To Dusk Shine you were probably looking like a bird. But to you, you had a plan. You can see the terror in Dusk Shine's eyes, he doesn't have a clue as to what you're doing.
"The next person to get a point will be our champion. With that... BEGIN!!!" Luna yelled.
Dusk Shine charges at you. Just like you predicted, it was a good thing Flash had a bunch of karate movies. You use a move you learned from Daniel Larusso, which is the crane kick. Your leg hits Dusk Shine's jaw with a loud bang. He then falls to the ground with a loud boom. The audience stayed quiet and still as they watched what they had just realized.
"That's a point to Anon! 3-2. ANON IS THE WINNER AND OUR NEW CHAMPION!!!!" Luna yelled raising her hand in your direction.
The air fills with cheers as you will the match. You did it! You actually won against Dusk Shine! You look back at the crowd, your mom was crying with happiness as your dad held her and smiled at you. AJ was swinging your hat around in the air, Rarity wasn't acting like a woman, and Aria and Adagio are hugging each other while jumping up and down. Rainbow, Pinkie, and your dad are ecstatic, Fluttershy is actually yelling for once. Flash looks down at you and gives you a thumbs-up. Your eyes then lock on Sonata's and she's smiling while she's crying.
"Anon here is your trophy." Luna said as she hands you the trophy.
Dusk Shine got up and looked at you. Although he had lost he still had to give it to you. "Not bad Anon. I'll be sure to take you down next time."
You looked at Dusk Shine, surprised that he was being nice to you but you let it go. You smiled back at him. "Yeah, we'll see about that."
"We hope you enjoyed this tournament. This was one of the best tournaments we have ever seen. There will be a party in a few hours, if you would like to come you may. You're all inclusively invited, the host being Pinkie Pie herself." Celestia said over the mic.
Your friends and family run up to you to congratulate you on the victory. They start asking all kinds of questions and you could barely keep up with them. Before you even knew it you were getting dragged out of the school so you could get ready for the party. 'This party is for everyone in the town. This is going to be Pinkie Pie's biggest party yet.' But you had other things to worry about, like getting ready for the party of a lifetime.
A few hours later at Pinkie Pie's party...
You look in front of the school where the party was taking place. They weren't kidding, the whole town was at the school partying their hats off. You and Flash were walking into the school and you had already seen some of your friends. You were looking around for Sonata. You had decided after beating Dusk Shine that you were going to tell Sonata tonight about your feelings toward her. However, finding her seemed to be a bit more of a problem than you thought. Flash must of saw you looking around for someone.
"You looking around for Sonata?" Flash asked as he looked over at you.
You look over at Flash, there was no point in lying to him. You had already told him earlier what you were planning on doing. "I'm not even going to lie. Yes, yes I am."
Flash scoffed as he looked around the school. "Good luck, it's like finding a nail in a haystack."
You nodded your head. "I'm going to go outside and try to text her to come outside."
Flash nodded his head. "Good luck Anon."
"Thanks, Flash." You said as you pulled out your phone and started making your way outside. "I'll see you later." And with that, the two of you said your goodbyes.
You start to head out of the cafeteria. People look at you and congratulate you on winning against Dusk Shine. You just smile and thank them as you continue to walk out of the school. All you had in mind for tonight was to tell Sonata. It was your mission to tell her tonight.
With Aria, Adagio, and Sonata...
"So, Sonata do you plan on asking Anon about how you feel?" Adagio asked as she looked over at Sonata.
"Yeah, I just need to find him first." Sonata said. Just then Sonata's phone goes off, she checks it to see it was from you asking her to meet you outside. "It's Anon he wants to meet me outside?" Sonata said obviously confused.
"Oooooooh." Aria and Adagio cooed making their sister blush.
Sonata blushed as she looked away from her sisters. "S-Stop, it's probably not like that. I'll see you guys in a bit."
"Bring your boyfriend when it's over!" Adagio yelled over the music with a smirk. Sonata didn't even look back as she just keeps on walking. She wanted to know what you wanted.
Back to you outside of the school...
You were currently outside the school and waiting. You had just texted Sonata, to meet you outside the school, near the statue. To say you were a little nervous would be a lie. After a while you see Sonata walk out of the school. You wave your hand to get her attention. She sees your hand and waves back, walking towards you.
"Hey, Anon. I got your text do you need something?" Sonata asked as she finally made it to you.
"Uh yeah." You scratch the back of your head. "There's actually something I've been wanting to tell you for a long time now."
Sonata tilted her head. "What is it?"
"I-I well... you see." You tried to speak but the words wouldn't come out. It was as if your brain had just shut off at that moment. How could it be so hard to just say I love you? You had beaten Dusk Shine, surely saying three little words would be easy. You take a deep breath and look at her. "I... uh actually. Sonata I've liked you for a while now. Actually right after you asked Dusk Shine I found out I liked you."
Sonata looked at you in surprise. "You've liked me for six years?"
"Yeah... what about you." You asked looking at her. "Do you like me?"
Sonata looked at you and smiled. "Anon I liked you at first glance. I liked Dusk Shine but before I liked him I liked you. I was just scared you wouldn't like me back."
"I guess we were both scared over nothing then." You said as you laughed.
"I guess so." Sonata said as she laughed as well.
You look into her eye and she looks into yours. You both slowly start to lean in, she closes her eye and you close yours. Your lip connects, and the kiss was electrifying. After years of liking Sonata, you were finally kissing her.
"You have no idea how long I wanted to do that." You said as you looked Sonata in the eyes.
"Me too." Sonata said as she too looked into your eyes.
You smiled at her. "I love you, Sonata."
Sonata smiled back at you. "I love you too, Anon."
The two of you share a kiss under the moonlight once again. Finally, your crush Sonata Dusk was your girlfriend. This was the best day of your life. How could life get any better?
A few years after you and Sonata became boyfriend and girlfriend you started to date. Three years later you would pop the question, you remembered how nervous you were that day. But Sonata happily said yes and the two of you happily got married. It was one of the best days of your life. You also remembered how Sonata looked like an angel in her dress. Your mother had cried her eyes out that day out of happiness for you getting married. Two years later the two of you would have twins, one being a boy and one being a girl. Your life got better and better since you were with Sonata. But you guys weren't the only ones that got lucky with their lives. Flash finally asked Sunset and the two finally started dating. A few years later he too would pop the question and she said yes. They too had gotten married and had a kid of their own, a boy to be exact. But it wasn't just you three, everyone else accomplished their dreams as well.
And here you were telling your son and daughter the story of how you and Sonata got together. From beginning to end they listened in awe as you retold the story. They were so cute, looking at their faces brighten up when you showed them the wedding pictures. You would teach them from time to time how to defend themselves from others. Your daughter and son got the hang of it fast, just like you did. Up to this point in your life you still had one question on your mind... Whatever did happen to Aaron after that night?
Just like when he left after his match with your dad. He too left after yours and Dusk Shine's match. Your dad tried to track him down but it was useless, Aaron had disappeared but hopefully this time for good. Dusk Shine however changed after Aaron left, and for the better. He apologized for what he did to Sonata, and Sonata being Sonata forgave him. Dusk Shine and Blueblood made their own fighting dojo to teach others how to defend themselves. The two of you were actually able to be good friends, and he was a big help with your wedding.
You had just finished the story and looked down at your kids who were still in awe at the story. "Well, that was how me and your mother meet. Did you guys like the story?"
Your son nodded with a big smile. "Yeah! Especially the part where you crane-kicked that Dusk Shine guy in the face. You were so amazing dad."
"I still don't know why Dusk Shine did that to mommy." Your daughter said as she looked down with a frown.
You went over to your daughter and bent down in front of her. Whenever you looked at her you would see a smaller version of Sonata in front of you. "I don't know why sweetheart. But there are some people out there that will do that. That's why if anyone hits you guys you should come to me or mom. And if it's at school then tell a teacher. Nobody should hit you two even if they're just friends."
"Ok, dad." Your son and daughter said with a smile.
You smile back at them as just then your phone started to ring. You look down at your phone, it was Flash, was it Thursday already? You answer the call.
"Anon, where are you? We're at the park." Flash said over the phone.
So it was Thursday. "Sorry, Flash I lost track of time. I was telling the kids about how me and Sonata met."
You heard Flash laugh over the phone. "Again? Isn't that like the fifth time you've told them that story already?"
You laughed yourself, it was actually the sixth. "What can I say? They just really like the story."
"How long are we going to have to wait this time?" Flash asked.
You rolled your eyes, even after all these years Flash still hadn't changed much. "Chill. I'll be there in maybe ten minutes."
"Ok, I'll see you then." Flash said, and with that, the call was over.
You hang up the phone as you looked at the calendar. Time really did fly by nowadays ever since you had kids. You had forgotten to meet up with Flash and his daughter at the park. Your son and daughter jump up and run to their rooms when you tell them to go get ready. Sonata was in the master's bedroom on the bed texting Aria. She wasn't paying attention to her surroundings so you decided to sneak up on her. You get right up to her ear, she still hasn't noticed you yet.
"Boo!" You yelled.
Sonata jumps up like a scared cat. She turns around once she sees you she pouts. She always looked cute when she pouted like that.
"Anon! You scared the heck out of me." Sonata said holding onto her heart.
You laughed. "Sorry. I just wanted to let you know that we're meeting up with Flash and Sunset at the park. Their daughter will be there so I'm bringing the kids."
"Oh, ok." Sonata then smiled. "Maybe Aria and Adagio would want to come and hang out. Or maybe just anyone of our other friends."
"Don't you think they'll be busy?" You said asked.
Rarity and Adagio worked together at making clothes. They were famous for their amazing fashion and the clothes they made. AJ was working on the farm, Pinkie would go in and out of town for people's parties. Rainbow and Aria were always working with their sports teams. Dusk Shine and Blueblood still had the dojo to take care of. Twilight was most likely trying to make a new discovery in science that no one had ever seen before. Out of all of them, Fluttershy was probably free for anything. She still worked with animals, something that will never change.
"I'm sure one of them will be free. I'm going to get dressed, so if you want to see something get out." Sonata smirked at you as she started to slowly raise her shirt.
You smirked yourself. "Let's save that for later, ok? We got to get these kids to the park or they'll have a heart attack. I should probably go check on them to see if kids and make sure their getting ready."
"Fine, but just wait for tonight." Sonata whispered in your ear.
You smiled and laughed as you leave the room as you start to contemplate. Sonata could be nice but she could be an evil little thing. That's what you liked about her. You walk out of the room to see your son and daughter on the couch waiting for you. Their heads look up when they see you.
"Come on dad let's go." Your daughter said as she tugs on your shirt.
"We will honey. We just have to wait for mommy." You said as you looked down at her. "Do you two have everything you need?"
"Yes." They said.
You nod your head. You turn around when you feel a tap on your shoulder. It was Sonata and she looks like she was ready to go. She looks at the kids.
"Momma!!" They yelled.
Sonata bent down and smiled at her kids. "Hi. How have you two been? Did you have fun with daddy?"
"Daddy told us about how the two of you met again." Your son said with a big smile.
Sonata looked at them surprised. "You guys really like that story." She then got up and smiled. "Come on put on your jackets and then we can get going."
"Ok, mommy." They said as they run out of the room.
You look at them as they run out of the room. They were full of energy all the time. You look back at Sonata, and she was smiling. Your son, daughter, and your wife Sonata, they meant so much to you. No matter what you weren't going to let them go. You're going to be there for them forever.
"Come on mom, dad, let's get going." Your daughter said jumping up and down.
"Ok, ok we're coming." You said with a smile.
You take one final look at Sonata and she smiles. Your hands interlock with each other's and the two of you walk out the door. Your life was perfect.
