I am The Invisible Man. Just call me Tim. Ive been in Equestria for five years and no one knows it. But this night, I am desperate. I need help and i have chosen to make myself know.

I was a forty year old volunteer for a experimental drug that was supposed to cure me of a rare genetic disease. It cured me, but the side effect was that it turned me invisible. So I went into hiding. Then, two years later I end up in Equestria somehow. Now I'm a legend here That's about to be proven true.

Revealing myself

View Online

I am The Invisible Man of Equestria, but you can call me Tim. Unoriginal I know, but I honestly have forgotten my name. When you don't use it that can happen. Anyways, right now I'm standing in the throne room of Canterlot Castle trying to figure out how to reveal myself so I can get some help. My story can wait as I've been sick for awhile and if I don't get help, I fear for my life. Contemplating more I decide to just go for it. It's night so the throne is occupied by Princess Luna. I walk up to in front of her and prepare myself.

"Good evening, Princess Luna. I ask that you don't be alarmed, so please hear me out. I'm in a unique situation and need your help." I watch as she is startled at first, but then calms down some.

"Where are you so that we can speak muzzle to muzzle."

"Well, that's part of my unique situation Princess. I'm actually standing about seven feet in front of you." Curiosity crossed her features as she stood up. She walked to the bottom of the dias and if I hadn't moved, the princess would have walked over me.

"Where are you right now?"

"I'm right beside you. I had to move so that I wasn't in your way. Before you ask, no I'm not under a spell of any kind, nor am I affected by anything that could make me invisible from here. If you agree to it, I will set my hand on your left front shoulder to prove I'm here. I mean no harm, Princess."

"Very well. Proceed." When I did set my hand on her shoulder, her eyes widened. "How is this possible?"

"It's a long story, my Lady. My invisibility is because of a experimental drug meant to save my life, which it did, but in another way it ended it. It made me invisible somehow, I will admit to stealing food while I've been here, but that was to survive. I hated doing it, but I had no choice."

"What is your name and what do you mean you had no choice. All you had to do was ask and somepony would have helped you."

"First, you can call me Tim and second, it's kinda hard to ask for help when you are not from this planet. I was afraid to ask because I didn't know how your ponies would react to me, especially since I can't be seen.

"What do you mean not from this planet?"

"I mean in the sense, that I haven't seen any other humans since I've been here." She didn't seemed surprised by me declaring myself to be human. Hmmm, makes me wonder about something.

"Princess, if I may ask? Why did you act like you know of my species? I was expecting shock or maybe fear."

"Humans once existed on Equis. Granted that was long before I was born, but my parents made sure my sister and I had knowledge of your race just in case something like this happened. Now, we can speak more on the subject later, but right now I would like to try something if you would allow it?"

"What are you go in to do Princess?"

"I would like to try a spell and see if it makes you visible for a short time and please call me Luna."

"Very well....Luna and you can see if it works." I watched as her magic flared in to a silvery blue color. Casting her spell, I didn't notice anything until I looked at the hand still on her shoulder. I...I could see my hand. I couldn't believe it, it worked. I walked away from Luna a few steps and turned back to her.

"It's nice to see you." She froze for a moment then cocked her head. "Why are you nude? From what my mother has said, humans don't like going around naked."

"That is true, but how would you react to a bunch of cloths just floating in midair?" She thought for a moment.

"You are correct on the reaction. Now, what help do you need?"

"I need medical attention. I've been sick for two months and I think I know what I've got."

"It's not contagious is it?"

"No Luna, it's not. I believe I have pneumonia. If I don't get treated it could kill me." Before she could say anything else, I started to feel faint. No, not now I thought. Its farther along than I thought. The next moment I knew nothing.

I came to gasping for air. Looking around, I could tell I was in a hospital room hooked up to a variety of monitor equipment. I was covered by a heavy blanket and I wasn't alone. One guard stood next to the door and was looking my way. I guess he heard me when I came to.

"Sir? Are you awake?"

"Yes I am. Why? Is there a problem?"

"No sir. The princesses wishes to be informed of your waking." Opening the door I heard a quiet conversation, then he closed the door.

"The princesses will be here shortly and the doctor that has been treating you as well."

"Thanks I guess." So without anything better to do, I settled in to wait. About fifteen minutes later the door opened and in walked Celestia, Luna, Cadence and Twilight Sparkle? Two doctors was behind them as well. I watched them gather around the bed I was in.

"Tim? Would it be okay for me to cast the spell I used in the throne room?"

"If you want to see me go ahead." With a nod she started channeling her magic and cast the spell. I heard a gasp from Twilight when the spell took effect. Looking at the gathered princesses, I could see sympathy in their eyes.

"Do I look that bad to you all?"

"Tim. In all honesty, the doctors said you would not have survived another few days. You was that close to death."

"I figured as much" I said nodding. "Was it pneumonia?"

"Yes, it was." One of the doctors replied. "How did you know?"

"I had it once when I was younger and still remember the symptoms. I'm far older than then and knew my body couldn't handle it." The doc seemed satisfied with my answer and stepped back. When he did Celestia stepped closer to me.

"Luna has told us of the conversation between the two of you. I would hazard a guess that you know of the rest of us?"

"I do Princess Celestia. Be kinda hard not to know since I've been here five years."

"Why didn't you come forward then? It would have been a lot easier on you" Cadence asked. I just shrugged my shoulders before I spoke.

"I was afraid to. I am a alien creature, with unknow motives, that happens to be invisible. How do you think I would have been received?"

"Probably not very well. The ponies here in Canterlot tend to be....not very welcoming of any creature not a pony."

"Exactly. I learned that in my first week here."

"How did you get here" Twilight asked me. Her look of curiosity was kinda...scary.

"I don't know Princess. I was trying to find shelter from a storm and I think I got hit by lightning. Next I know I wake up here." Her contemplating gaze was broken after a minute.

"You said you've been here five years correct?"

"Yes, give or take a couple of months."

"That's about the time I fought Tirek. I did notice a storm over the Everfree at the time and it got hit by one of his missed magic attacks."

"Thinking it created a portal somehow Twilight" pondered Luna.

"It's quite possible. With you being here that long and with no way to replicate the situation, I'm afraid there is no way to send you home." The sympathy that Twilight's eyes showed was not needed.

"I accepted my fate long ago Princess. I figured as much." Celestia finally got into the conversation again then.

"You do not need to address any of us with our titles Tim and you are welcome to stay here in the castle of you wish. Now, I will not say anything about you stealing food. We understand you was trying to survive. I believe the good you did offsets your indiscretions." I got nervous and looked away.

"What do you mean, Sister?"

"Various accounts from across the city about thieves suddenly falling in a chase or rapists being knocked out and tied up while their victims escape. There is even one account of a ponynapping victim escaping her captors mysteriously and said captors being arrested." Celestia was smiling at me then.

"I was just trying to balance out the scales by doing some good" I admitted while I fidgited with my hands.

"So your the Hidden Protector" Luna asked in wonder.

"I never wanted recognition for it. I just couldn't justify walking away from someone in need. How did you know Celestia?"

"It was a educated guess really. I knew the one doing the good deeds wasn't a pony and no trace could be found. So when you showed up, I put two and two together, plus you admitted it" she finished with a smile. I signed in resignation. I still didn't really know what was going to happen to me.

"I know you said I was welcome to stay at the castle, but I have to wonder what will happen to me?"

"You will be given the chance to live a normal life if you wish it Tim. I would not have the one that saved me, be treated as anything other than a honored guest" Luna declared walking up to me and nuzzling into my neck.

"What do you mean, Sister?"

"I was one of the mares he saved." The incredulous look that crossed Celestia's muzzle was surprising.

"WHAT?"

"I decided to go out one night in disguise and was accosted. I was so shocked by the act, that I couldn't defend myself. It was at that moment that my attacker suddenly went down and I escaped to alert the guard. When we came back the stallion was tied up and was unconscious." She looked me in my eyes and smiled happily. "Anything you wish for, if it is in my power. I will get for you."

"A cure for my condition" I asked with hope.

"I shall have our best scientists work on it."

"Thank you Luna."

Attempted vanishing act

For two weeks I laid in this hospital bed recovering from my illness and now I feel better than ever. For the first time I was alone. Since I woke up in the hospital, one of the princesses was always with me. Not because I was a threat, but because they felt I had been alone for long enough.

It's strange how I could go from a world that could give a shit about you, to a world where everyone wants to help you for the most part. The noble class is the exception, though there are a few nobles that do care. The hospital staff have treated me with kindness and the guards have taken to coming and checking in as well. I guess saving Luna showed I was a 'good guy'.

Anyways, I was due to be released in a few hours. All of the monitoring equipment was off and I was up and about. So far none of the princesses has come by to visit or renew the spell that allowed me to be seen. The spell needed to be recast every two days, but I had a decision to make. Stay and lead a normal life or leave and go back to what I have been doing for five years. Granted, the normal life deal sounds good, but what about the rest of Equestria? Would I be accepted or would I be considered a monster?

The lure of a cure for my condition was almost too much, but I decided to leave. Maybe I should start over in another city. Yes, I think I will. I wasn't going to leave without a goodbye and left a note for them. I took my time getting out of the hospital and once I hit the streets headed to the train station. About forty five minutes later I made it and just my luck a train was about to depart. I didn't care where it was headed, I would figure that out later.

It didn't cross my mind at the moment, but upon further reflection I should have known something was up from the noise level of the station. There was none other than a idiling train. I had just stepped foot into a box car when I was yanked out and deposited in front of three angry princesses. How in the he'll did they know I would be here?

"Where in Tartarus do you think you are going" asked Luna as she cast the spell to see me and handing me a robe as well.

"I don't belong here Luna. Its better this way. Me being here will only cause all of you trouble and I don't want that to happen."

"Tim, all of us believe that we have come to know you very well over the last two weeks. I have come to learn that you are a very kind and caring individual at heart." I could only blush at the compliment.

"Thank you, Celestia."

"I still don't understand why you was going to leave Tim? It doesn't make sense. We accept you for who you are" Cadence said stomping a hoof.

"It is because he feels the same way I did a thousand years ago. Lost, scared and unappreciated, but mostly it is because he feels alone in this world." I looked at Luna in shock. How could she know how I felt.

"I know what that feels like Tim. I know it so well. Those same feelings turned me into one of the greatest threats to Equestria and I will not let you follow my path. It only leads to more pain." Tears was falling from her eyes as she pulled me to her and wrapped me up in her forelegs and wings. "As long as I am around. You will never need to fear. I will be here for you. My Sister, Cadence and Twilight Sparkle will be here for you."

"I don't know what to say" I whispered.

"You don't need to say anything Tim. This is a promise we all gladly will make" Celestia added joining her sister in hugging me.

"If you won't trust anypony else. Trust is the four of us, Tim." Now Cadence joined the hug. I couldn't do anything other than accept what was happening to me. Sighing, I finally decided to stay as they, well I would say demanded, but I'll say suggested.

"Ok, you've convinced me. I'll stay with here. Just don't leave me alone, please?" Celestia smiled and nuzzled the top of my head.

"One of us will always be around somehow."

Over the next month they proved to me that they would and could follow up on their promises. I was never alone and Luna has their scientists going almost twenty-four hours a day. I soon began to reconsider what I asked of Luna. If I'm going to live here, I need to be of some kind of use. With a idea in my head I told Twilight 'who was spending time with me' I was headed to the throne room.

When I got there the guards let me know that the sisters was almost done for the day. I had forgotten that it was a combined court today. I waited about ten minutes before the doors opened and five ponies walked out. When they passed, the guards checked and the unicorn of the pair waved me through. Even though I've been in here quite a bit over the last month, it's still awe inspiring. Stopping at the bottom of the dias, I could see the smiles Celestia and Luna was showing.

"What has brought you to us in such a hurry Tim" Luna asked me.

"How much of a strategic advantage does Equestria have with me as I am?" They looked at each other in concern.

"Why do you ask?" The look of worry was evident on Celestia's muzzle.

"I've been thinking on how I could possibly pay you back for what you all have done for me. So I figured if I could work as a spy when needed, then your scientists wouldn't have to work on a permanent solution to my condition. It could be something I would wear and when I needed to, I could remove it and become invisible."

"Why would you want to do something so dangerous Tim? If found you would be killed." Luna's emotional response was surprising. I started to wonder if she had feelings for me.

"Luna, I want to help. I can't sit on my ass all day. I love spending time with all of you, but I need something to do so I don't go stir crazy."

"I understand that Tim, but you have finally started living again. In your own words. I don't want you to lose that and I don't want to lose you either." I couldn't hear the last few words, but judging form Celestia's reaction it must have been a revelation to her. I walked up the Dias until I was in front of her. Placing my hands on her cheeks, I looked deep into her blue eyes.

"I understand that Luna. I'm just used to doing things to help. Before my condition I was a very active man. I want to help Luna. If I need to go through training of some kind so be it. Just let me help. Please?" The conflict in her eyes was heart wrenching, but I was going to stick to my guns so to speak. She sighed and I could see her relent a little.

"Let me speak to my sister and the others. Then we will discuss the issue." I smiled as I leaned forward to hug her. What I whispered into her ear made her blush.

"That's all I ask my angel."

I'm a old man

View Online

After talking to Celestia and Luna, I decided to do some physical training. So I made my way to the guard barracks and made use of the weight equipment they had. Seeing what they had and how I could use it, I got started. Thirty minutes later I discovered two things. One is I'm out of shape. The other.... I'm a old man. Time has caught up with me. It sucks when you realize that your almost fifty. That made me slam on the metaphorical brakes. Where had the time gone. I then thought back to what I had asked the princesses. I literally sceamed at myself in my mind. ARE YOU FUCKING INSANE? I need to fix this right now and left to find the two sisters.

You would think that tracking down two alicorns would be easy right? WRONG. I spent three hours looking for those two. I finally was informed that they had been in a meeting with their scientists and had been looking for me as well. After I got guidance to the meeting room I felt that I needed a nap. Oh joy. Another sign I'm getting old. After reaching said meeting room, I took note of a hint of concern in their eyes.

"Hello girls, I've got something I wish to discuss with both of you."

"We do as well Tim" Luna began. "Both of us feel that you should not have to do what you have asked to do Tim. In our eyes it's too dangerous for you." If there was any doubts in my mind, they was laid to rest. I knew now that Luna had feelings for me. Why me though? I was just a pathetic and weak human. What could I possibly offer her. A throat being cleared brought me back.

"Oh, sorry. I kinda got lost in my thoughts" I grinned sheepishly. "That's what I wanted to speak to both of you about. I came to a shocking discovery about myself a little while ago" I couldn't help but smile a little bit. "I'm too damn old to be galivanting around as a so called spy for you. I'm sorry for that."

Celestia scoffed at my words. "You can't be that old Tim. What are you? Thirty maybe?"

"How long do ponies live Celestia?"

"Two fifty to three hundred years in most cases. For us alicorns, we are ageless." I nodded my head. I know Luna is about to be disappointed.

"Well that's the problem Princess. I'm fifty and humans live on average to be around seventy five to eighty years old and that's if something doesn't happen to me before." I was not prepared for the sadness that I could see in their eyes. "The human body can take tremendous punishment, but it also is incredibly fragile. I've pulled a muscle in my rib cage just by sneezing before."

"So....you are basically over half way through your life" Celestia stated.

"In a ways, yes. As I said, if nothing happens and I take care of myself, I have about thirty years or so left." Celestia had a strange look in her eyes when she glanced Luna's way.' I wonder what that is all about' I asked myself. "Was there anything else Celestia?"

"Yes there is. Our scientists have found a way to enchant a ring with Luna's spell so that she doesn't have to cast it every day and if you wish to be invisible, just take it off" she replied handing or I should say hoofing me the ring. I stared at it a moment before looking back at them.

"Thank you both for this" I said to her. The smile I got in return was as bright as her sun.

"Your welcome Tim. We're happy we could help you." When I looked at Luna, I could definitely tell something was bothering her.

"What's wrong Luna?" The weak smile I got from her didn't do anything to take away the unease I felt.

"Nothing is wrong Tim. I am tired is all. Twas a long night." One thing I had gotten good at was reading people and I've been around her long enough to know she was lying to me, but I wasn't going to call her on it at the moment. A sudden question hit me about the ring.

"Celestia? When I want to be invisible what do I do with the ring?"

"Oh! Sorry, I forgot about that part Tim. When you take it off flip it around and put it back on. It will turn invisible as well and when you wish to be visible just take it off and flip it back."

"Thank you both for this."

"Tis not a problem Tim" Luna said with a smile.

"Thank you both again for this. If that's all, I'll see you both at dinner." When I got confirming nods from both of them I took my leave. While I walked away, I decided I needed to take some time and figure out my feelings and what I should do about Luna. There was no question that she has developed feelings for me from the way she reacted and the emotions showed during our discussion.

As I walked, I was so deep in my thoughts that I didn't pay attention to my surroundings and ended up in a secluded part of the gardens I had found in my time here. It was a tranquil and quiet spot that was surrounded by night lilys. The only problem is, I wasn't alone. A certain dark colored princess was currently laying down with her eyes closed and a frown upon her muzzle. She hadn't noticed me and I believe that for us to work around our feelings we needed to talk.

I made my way over to Luna and say down in front of her. So lost in her thought as she was, she still hadn't noticed me until I had gently placed the palm of my right hand against her cheek. When I did her eyes snapped open and looked up to mine. Surprise crossed her beautiful features before she spoke.

"I..I had no idea that somepony else knew of my sanctuary."

"I didn't know this was your private area Luna. I found it a couple of weeks ago and thought it was a perfect spot to gather my wits when I needed to. If you want me to leave I will."

"N..no that is not necessary Tim. Please stay. I believe we have a few things to talk about."

Wearing your heart on your sleeve

View Online

"Y..yeah I guess we do need to talk" I was nervous as hell. I kinda figured what she wanted to talk about. "I think I know what it is you wish to talk about." I watched as the color on her muzzle change from blue to purple and I instantly thought it was adorable. In all honesty, Luna had to be the most beautiful mare I've ever see in my time here.

I was out of my element with the situation I was in. I wasn't articulate or very good at discussing my emotions. Hell, I haven't really spoken to another female since my wife abandoned me.

"Tim, since the night you revealed that it was your actions that saved me, I have started having these feelings for you. I have never experienced them before." Luna had stopped speaking and was looking at her hooves. When she looked back up I could see a change in her eyes. "Tim, I believe I have fallen for you and I would understand if you do not feel the same way Tim, but I..." Didn't have a chance to finish her thought. I closed the distance between us, gently pulled her head up and kissed her. Her moan of approval was all I needed. I finally broke the kiss when I needed to take a breath.

"Sorry, I've never been good with words." She laid there with her eyes closed and breathing heavily before she looked at me.

"I will not complain about that." After a moment of quiet she spoke again. "So you share my feelings?"

"I would think after that kiss, my feelings where apparent Luna" I said with a smirk. "But, I will ask that you have patience with me. I had a family once. Wife, kids, the whole nine yards, but they all abandoned me when my illness got worse. My wife dropped me off to get a procedure done and said she would be back before it started. I...never saw her or my kids ever again. That broke me in a way I'm not sure I'll ever recover from." I had dropped my head down when I finished.

"Tim, look at me." A hoof placed under my chin gently lifted my gaze up. "I have chosen you to give my heart to. Something you must understand is that once a alicorn makes that kind of decision, it's for eternity." I looked at her in confusion.

"What do you mean by that Luna?"

"It means that if you so choose to love me in return, you would become immortal and spend eternity with each other." My mind shutdown because of her words. She wants to spent eternity with ME? Why would she do that? I'm nothing. Just a unlucky human that ended up here. It was then that my thoughts turned to what happened in my past. What would happen if she left me like my wife did. The internal debate I was having was interrupted by a pair of soft lips against mine.

"I know what you are thinking and it will never come to pass. I would never abandon you. If you chose to be with me, only death could separate us and even then our bond would endure. The afterlife would await us to be together once again" she told me after breaking the kiss.

"Are you sure about this? To want eternity with someone not of your species. What would your sister or the rest of the country think."

"Tia considers you a friend and my kingdom will 'get over it' as the youth of today likes to say" Luna stated giggling. Without thinking I wrapped her in a hug and layed down with her on top of me still giggling. "I take it that you have made your decision?"

"Yes, I want eternity with you, but promise me this. I will give you my heart as long as I'll always have yours." Luna's smile grew brighter and she started to nuzzle me.

"That is one promise I shall always keep my love." We spent the rest of the night together cuddling and such, but that's as far as it went. The next morning was going to be the test. Luna wanted to tell Celestia about our new status at breakfast and I was nervous about it.

"Sister will be happy for us Tim. I have no idea why you think she will want to harm you" she commented as we made our way to the private dinning room they used for themselves.

"It's because she's your older sister and will be protective of you. She'll probably think I was trying to take you from her" I muttered to myself. Luna started flat out laughing at me then.

"She is protective of me yes, but I believe she will be happy for us Tim."

"I hope so, because we're here." I looked at my new marefriend I guess is the word. "If I don't make it back, please remember me." Luna shook her head at me still smiling. Walking in Celestia was sitting at the head of the table. When Luna sat to her right, I was sitting right next to her. Celestia was watching us with a raised eyebrow. With a smirk on her muzzle, the interrogations began.

"What is this I see? Has my sister finally found her a stallion or should I say man" she asked with a even tone to her voice. Uh oh I thought. I'm dead.

Breakfast Fun

I literally started sweating bullets when Celestia said that. My breathing increased and I was shaking. I heard Celestia start giggling.

"Tim, do calm down please. I'm not going to do anything to you. It's just that you being with Luna makes me happy, because I know you will take care of her." I looked at Luna and she was blushing.

"Huh, thanks I guess?" I sighed then looked a Celestia. "Your taking this rather well. I figured that you would send me to the sun or something." She looked at me with some trepidation, but I could also see some happiness too.

"Tim, I honestly think you are perfect for each other. You both have had painful experiences in your lives and have come out of them stronger for it. I know you both will care for each other and you both will have me, Cadence and Twilight to help you both. All I ask is that you take you time to enjoy it and learn from each other. Love is a beautiful experience and it should be relished."

"Thanks, I guess?"

"You need to calm down my love. Tia gave us her blessing" Luna said to me giggling.

"That maybe true dear, but I'm still worried she'll toss me into the sun."

"I wouldn't do that, the moon though..." she trailed off snickering.

"That's it! I'm gonna die one day" I said exasperated while I listened to the pair giggle.

"As long as I get a niece or nephew your safe." When the Sun Princess said that, me and Luna blushed.

"SISTER!" Luna squeaked. "We are no where near that point yet."

"You two can practice a lot you know" she countered wiggling her eyebrows.

"That isn't Celestia" I said pointing at the white alicorn. "Her name is Trollestia." Celestia put on a fake pout and whined a little.

"Oh, your no fun. How did you know?" She broke down laughing then.

"You are horrible Sister."

" I can't help it. Tim can almost match my wit. It has been sometime since anypony could say that." Luna thought for a moment and had to agree.

"Tis true."

"Why do I get the feeling that I'm going to be a target for a long time to come" I mused.

"It's probably because you will be and if I know my sister, you will be around for a long time."

"Yeah, Luna explained that part. It's going to take some time getting used to the idea of being....is it immortal or ageless?"

"It's more ageless Tim. We can still die, it's just hard to kill a alicorn." Celestia answered.

"Doesn't matter to me. As long as I have Luna, nothing else matters." I said looking at the eternal beauty. Luna's cheeks turned red from her blushing.

"When is the wedding?"

"SISTER!" a flustered Luna screamed out.

"What? You know it's going to happen sooner or later. Why wait." Celestia asked nonchalantly. I just sat next to Luna in stunned silence. D...did she just ask that my rattled mind wondered. Then I thought about it. Why not do it, plus I could get one over on Celestia too. I caught Luna's eye and winked at her.

"I good with that" I started. "I love her and I'd be happy to marry her." I hoped she would play along and she did. After she hesitated for a second, she picked up where I left off.

"Is that what you truely want my love" she purred, with a look of lust in her eyes.

"Yes, I want nothing more. Then I could do what I wish to you in bed, anything at all." I had added a growl to my voice to add to the effect. "From running my hands down your sexy flanks to draw out a sexy moan, to running my tongue up your wet sli..."

"OKAY, I DONT NEED TO HEAR ANYMORE!" Celestia's shout stopped me for finishing. When I looked at her I couldn't help but grin. She was red faced and breathing hard, but so was Luna when I looked at her in turn. I then noticed a faint aroma in the air. Fuck me I though. I've gotten both of them turned on.

"Is that what you would actually do to me" Luna asked panting.

"All you have to do is ask and I will do whatever you want." Luna's blush deepened, but so did Celestia's. She looked at her younger sister and made one statement.

"You better marry this stallion. If you dont, I'll marry him myself." Luna shrank back momentarily, but then a devious smirk crossed her muzzle.

"Dear sister. I never said you couldn't share our bed." I almost choked on what I was drinking and Celestia's eyes bugged out of her head. Luna was giggling while patting my back while I was coughing. A light breeze could blow the Sun Goddess over.

"I think you broke her" I finally got out. Luna looked at her sister and giggled again.

"It's nice to get one over on her." She looked at me lovingly. "She is right about you being a match for her wit. Not many can do that."

"I'll be her foil then and I was serious about what I said to you. I would happily marry you right now."

"Truly?"

"Yes."

The Future

View Online

In the weeks that followed our admittance to each other, I had changed my routine around to a more nocturnal one. I was a night owl pretty much anyway, so it wasn't that big of a change. Luna had told me I didn't need to, but I could tell she appreciated it since we spent more time together. Night Court for her was slow. I'm not saying she didn't get any petitioners, it's just, Luna didn't have to deal with nobles as much as Celestia did. The normal night petitioner was the common pony whose problems was taken care of in a swift and efficient manner by Luna which led to her court typically lasting only a hour or two.

Currently I was occupying the throne with Luna draped over me in her favorite position. She was laying on her side with her forelegs crossing my lap while her chest was on my stomach. She had pressed her head under my chin while her horn safely passed up the side of my face. Luna loved the position because when she removed her regalia, I could stroke her neck, ending at her chest.

"It helps me relax while I do my dreamwalking" she explained once. I've also noticed that Luna seems to be happier and more content than I've ever seen.

"In the five years I have served as her Captain, this is the most relaxed I have ever seen the Princess." While I had been expecting it, Moonshine Dancers voice still surprised me. She is a thestral mare that serves as Luna's captain for the Lunar Guard.

"Still surprising you I see" she stated giggling.

"What can I say. I have the most beautiful mare in the land using me like a Serta and I was deep in my thoughts." The cheeky fanged grin was adorable. Noticing my own grin, she got ornery.

"Don't you say it. I'll kick your flank for you" she threatened.

"What? Its funny how the other ponies find thestrals intimidating and I find you adorable." The blush that glowed on her cheeks just made her even more adorable.

"I am not adorable. I am strong, fierce and..."

"Cute, kind and one of the sweetest mares I know. Star Binder is a lucky stallion to have you as his wife. Even though you can kick his ass." I finished for her as her blushing got hotter. "How's little Star Glider?"

"Being a hooffull." she answered smiling. "She is six months old now and trying to fly. Smiling I shook my head and gave her some advise.

"Enjoy it while you can Shine. They grow up so quick. One second they're newborns, the next they're married and have little ones of their own." She just smiled and nodded knowing I was right. "Just doing rounds Shine?"

"Yeah. Figured I'd stop and check on the two of you. I figured that I needed to make sure you two wasn't rutting on the throne" she added while trotting away chuckling. I started blushing when she said that.

"Your lucky you're adorable and that I consider you a friend" I called out before the door closed. Chuckling myself, I just shook my head thinking about what that goofy mare said. Sighing, I looked around before settling in a little to take a nap.

Being nuzzled is a good way to wake up in my book.

"Napping on me are we?" I could hear the playfulness in Luna's voice.

"Well, I didn't have anything to distract me and you was dreamwalking, so yeah I was."

Luna just grinned and rubbed her nose on mine. "Why do you do this for me? Is it because you love me so?"

"For once in the past ten years I have a reason to live again and that reason is you Luna. So yes, it's because I love you with all that I am." That got me one of her beautiful radiant smiles. Celestia's could cure cancer I think, while Luna's could stop wars.

"You are either a well spoken rouge or you are speaking the truth. So what are you?" The question was surprising, especially the tone she used. Have I done something? Have I over stepped a boundary somehow?

"Luna. If I have done something to offend you, I'm sorry. It wasn't my intention to ..." My apology and train of thought was stopped by a pair of soft lips pressed gently to mine. When she broke said kiss, Luna smiled at me and explained.

"It was not my intention to make you think that. You have never offended me nor have you done anything that warrants me to rebuke you either. You have given me something that I had believed I could never have. Your love. For the entirety of my life I had thought that the love of another was out of reach for me. I speak of romantic love, not the love of a sibling or a close friend, but the love of somepony who wants me as a lover, a wife. The love of somepony or I should say someone who wants me for me." I could see the devotion and love in her eyes that she had for me. Yes, it could be said that we are probably moving fast in our courtship, but as the saying goes, love will find a way.

"Do you think things are moving too fast or is it as your sister said. That because we both know true pain in our pasts, that we found in each other a way to heal and finally find what we both have yearned for?"

"Mother always told us that when we found the love of our lives we would know it. I have found mine. I need not the approval of my little ponies or any other. Besides" she stopped and kissed me again, but it was a deeper, more meaningful kiss. "Tia has already given us her blessing."

"So. Does that mean you're willing to follow up on my proposal then?" The confused look I got was cute, until she thought for a moment. "When I said that, it was in jest, somewhat. But, in a way I did mean it."

"Y...you are serious?"

"Yes. If you are willing to put up with me." Tears began to trail down her cheeks. Before I knew what happened Luna had teleported us to Celestia's chambers. I was blinded temporarily and when I could see, I watched as the Sun Princess shot up with a worried expression.

"Luna? Whats wrong?"

"Nothing is wrong sister. How would you like to perform our wedding?"

After a interesting conversation between the sisters that pretty much set a honest to goddess wedding date, I found myself being somewhat squeezed to death by a happy alicorn.

"Are we moving too fast on this Luna" I asked.

"Maybe in some ways Tim, but in matters of the heart I have learned from niece Cadence that the heart knows what it wants and both of ours are speaking to each other."

"I never thought of it that way" I mumbled out. "Then again, I thought I had someone who loved and wanted to be with me only for her and our kids to abandon me when I needed her most." What I said must have triggered something inside of Luna. For the next thing I knew, she kissed me with a passion that I had not felt in a long time.

"I will never abandon nor forsake you for any reason Tim. When a alicorn takes a mate, it's for life and nothing on Equis could break that bond, nothing."

"That's what I'm afraid of Luna. In twenty maybe thirty years, I'm the one that will break it simply because I'm not immortal. I will die and leave you heartbroken and I don't want to do that to you. I don't want you to feel the pain that has burned my soul. You have been a balm for that, but knowing that one day I'll no longer be here for you actually hurts me worse that what my ex-wife did." She smiled and kissed me again while pushing me over on the bed. Sitting on my lap, she simply gazed at me with all of her love showing on her beautiful face.

"You forget that you shall be as immortal as I. Your fears will never come to pass my love. For tonight though, I want to start on making memories that we shall carry for all time" she said with a alluring tone. I found out what she was wanting a minute later when she started grinding against me moaning.

"If that's what my princess wants and I'm sorry I forgot about the ageless bit. My memory is kinda short." Luna smiled before leaning down to whisper in my ear.

"Your memory may be short, but what I am feeling is not."

Waking up with a princess in your arms has got to be the best way possible. Especially if she loves you with everything she has. I was content, still tired and sore, but what she showed me last night was nothing short of heaven.

"You do realize that by law, I could bury you in the dungeons and nopony would ever question me?" I froze immediately upon hearing Celestia's voice. Turning just enough to see, said princess was sitting there with a stern look set on her muzzle, but since I've been around them so much, I could see a bit of playfulness in her eyes.

"You would not dare do that and you know it sister. Your love might not be equal to what I have, but you do love Tim as a brother" Luna stated raising up slightly.

"Oh, I do know that Lulu. His unbridled love for you makes me happy for the both of you, besides I seriously doubt you would ever allow it" she said with a small smile. Luna laid back down for a moment before shooting back up.

"My moon" she squeaked. "I must set it!"

"I've already taken care of it little sister. It's mid morning anyways" Celestia told her giggling with a knowing smirk on her muzzle. Luna shrank back behind me.

"How.."

"Do I know?" Luna simply nodded.

"Well, one is the smell in here" Her smile got bigger. She leaned in closer. "The other is the whole castle heard your screams of pleasure" she whispered just loud enough for me to hear. Luna gasped and turned beet red from that little info dump.

"Maybe next time...use a sound dampening spell." And with that said, Celestia turned and started to trot out of Luna's bedroom chuckling before she stopped at the door.

"Oh! By the way, Tim. You might have some admirers now because of your....performance." She ducked out before I could say anything. Like I could have anyway. I was too stunned from her words.

"That's Trollestia for you" I snarked. When I turned to see how Luna was doing, I took note of a significant color change. Her face was now purple from her blushing.

"Revenge prank?" All Luna could do was nod.

It wasn't just one prank Luna wanted to do. Nooo, she started a prank war with Celestia and I was a target for Celestia, plus that damn bird of hers. I don't know who's worse, the bird or the pony. Anyway, I had made it back from the Stallions Warehouse where I was measured for my suit, when I had a bouquet of blue flowers fall on me from a bucket sitting on a doors edge. I didn't think nothing of it and went on my way.

Being that it was still too early for Luna to wake up, I had decided to take a nap with her when I had returned. It was around four in the evening and Luna would be up in a couple of hours.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN MY BED YOU OVERGROWN LIZARD!"

"Wha? Luna why are you shouting at me? What did I do?" As my faculties returned, I could tell something was...off, but I didn't get to examine the feeling before I was picked up and slammed into the floor.

"WHERE IS TIM? WHERE IS MY BETROTHED?"

"Luna what are you doing? I'm right here in front of you" I grunted out as the pressure from her spell increased. It was then that I knew what was wrong. My body didn't feel right and the muzzle I could see gave me a clue too. I had been turned into something else and I guess I said the wrong thing because the pressure increased and I started gasping for air.

"WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH MY TIM, DRAGON? WHERE HAVE YOU SPIRITED HIM AWAY TO?"

"Luna" I managed to gasp out. My vision had begun to fade when I tried one other way to reach her. "My Angel." Luna gasped right before her magic cut out. The next second I could hear her frantic mutterings as she approached me.

"NONONO! WHAT HAVE I DONE?" When she got to me, I felt her pick up my head? "I'm so sorry my love." A instant later our bedroom door shattered and Celestia came galloping in with a contingent of guards.

"SISTER?! WHAT HAS HAPPENED?" By that point I was semi-conscious and in a lot of pain. I finally faded away before I heard Luna's reply.

I woke up feeling like I had been run over and I did what was natural. When my hand made contact with my head it felt off, everything felt off. I was expecting to see five fingers and tanned skin when i looked at my hand, but thats not what I got. Instead, I got three claws and blueish silver scales? It was then that I remembered what Luna had called me, a dragon.

"What the fuck" I mumbled out loud. I must have been heard because the door opened and all four alicorns trotted in. It was also at that point that I noticed that I was in a hospital room. I couldn't say anything so I held my 'arm' out to Luna and asked with a hopeful pleading expression.

"We don't know what has caused this my love" she replied while she nuzzled my head. "The flowers was found and confirmed to be poison joke, but they are a rare variety of the normal flower."

"How so and how rare?" I knew of the plant and avoided the damn things.

"This particular breed can be manipulated by magic into having whatever effect the user wants, as long as the plant isn't used on yourself. Whoever did this knew what they was doing." Twilight answered. I immediately looked at Tia and she started to shake her head.

"I would not do such a thing to you Tim, neither would Philomena. This kind of prank is cruel, especially because of the other effect of that particular flower." I was getting nervous from the way they was talking.

"The effects are permanent" Cadence answered.

"The pony responsible will be found and punished, brother." I smiled a little when Tia said that. Since our announced engagement, she had taken to calling me brother and I will admit, it's kinda nice to be called brother once again.

"How rare is it?"

"That particular plant hasn't been seen in almost two thousand years and even then it was very rare to find them then." I looked at Twilight to explain a little more, but Luna was the one to explain.

"They only grew in a very specific environment, but where they was native to was destroyed."

"Destroyed?"

"They only grew where the badlands now are" Tia supplied. I simply nodded before growing quiet. Luna was still trying to comfort me, but my mind was racing from all of the information I had been given. One thought finally came to the forefront.

"How does this affect us" I quietly asked Luna. She never stopped her nuzzling, if anything it she got more affectionate.

"Not at all. I am marrying you still. Your form matters not to me besides" she gave me that beautiful smile only I can get. "this is a blessing in disguise for you."

"How so?"

"Your curse of invisibility is broken." I didn't realize that had happened. I thought they had cast the spell on me since I obviously couldn't wear my ring anymore.

"Anything else I should know?"

"You somehow have taken the characteristics of a race of dragons that was wiped out long ago by their larger cousins" Tia stated.

"There was different races?"

"Oh yes. Just as ponies have different races or tribes if you will, dragons had the same. If I remember correctly, there was five different races of dragon, but the largest race wiped out the others just because they wasn't as numerous."

"That's kinda dumb. Anyways, what race am I now?"

"They was called the Lunae Lumen or more simply, Moonlight dragons.

After the massive info dump that they dropped on me, I just laid there and thought about the changes I would go through with my transformation. What else is going to happen to me I wondered, but I was interrupted by a pair of heavenly lips finding mine. After Luna broke the kiss, I opened my eyes and gazed into hers.

"I have said I will never abandon you before and I will never change my mind. You will have me for eternity and nopony else ever will." I gave Luna a smile that showed my gratitude before I looked back to the others.

"What else should I expect from this? Will I get bigger? What about my personality, eating habits?"

"Nothing should change Tim. You will not get much bigger I believe. The largest Moonlight that I knew of was only a foot taller than me. As far as your personality, it will not change, though you probably will become more protective of us since we are your family." I gave Celestia a long, suffering look.

"I was that way before this you know."

"Oh, I know, but now, you will be more so since you have the strength and magic to back it up." I froze wide eyed. I HAVE MAGIC NOW!?

"M...magic?"

"Yes. The Moonlight and Solis or Sunlight dragons possessed magic. How else would they have moved the sun and moon?"

"Wait, wait, wait! They moved the sun and moon before the two of you" Twilight breathlessly asked.

"Well, yes. You must remember Twilight that dragons are the oldest race on Equis and those two particular races had stewardship over the celestial bodies before they passed it on to ponies" Luna piped in.

"So they passed control on to you and Celestia?"

"No, Twilight. They passed control to unicorns long before our time. We wasn't born for another five hundred years and it was three hundred more before we accepted our destinies" her mentor answered. I know a evil grin had appeared on my new muzzle because Cadence was looking at me like I was going to eat her. Luna must have noticed her creeped out look and deduced that I was the reason.

"What has you smiling like you stole Celestia's last cake?"

"I just realized I get to play with your moon now." The look I got would have turned a timberwolf to stone.

"Do. Not. Touch. My. MOON!" The worse part was that she punctuated each word with a smack of a wing to the back of my head. Trust me, even with scales, that shit hurt.

"Damn woman! Are you trying to give me a concussion? It wasn't as if I would make it dance or do figure eights across the sky. I just thought you would like it if I helped every now and then." The glare I was getting fell off her muzzle and instead, I got that cute little smile that only I could bring out.

"I would like that" she replied while nuzzling into my now longer neck.

"So, back to the changes I can expect. What kind of magic would I be capable of and my eating habits?" Celestia closed her eyes for a moment before answering.

"As far as everyday magic, it shouldn't be any different than a unicorn or one of us, but because of what you are now, you would specialize in ice magic for combat."

"That and you would be stronger at night." Luna added.

"Well, how strong am I right now?"

"About equal to one of us during the day, but as Luna said. During the night you would be significantly stronger."

"Ok. What about my eating habits?"

"I would think you would be like Spike. You will need to add some gems to round out your diet since your a dragon now."

"Twilight is correct. You just need to eat a few gems every other day."

I laid there for a few moments thinking about what had happened to me. So far the changes hadn't been a bother, yet, I can't help but feel there are forces behind this and there's a reason I've been granted this new form.

"Can someone get a big mirror? I want to see what I look like now." Celestia nodded and lighting up her horn teleported a full body mirror next to her. After I got Luna to release me, I gingerly got out of the bed and stood. Knowing I wasn't use to being on all fours, Luna stayed at my side while I wobbled over to the mirror.

"I care not what form you take because it is still you, but I find this form pleasing as well" Luna whispered into my ear sending shivers down my spine.

"It's nice to know that you still love me despite my appearance."

"Your heart and spirit is what I fell in love with Tim, not your form. A shallow pony I would be if I only loved you for your form." Unable to say anything I just leaned into her and nuzzled her cheek. Finally, after a moment I looked into the mirror and examined myself. The same blueish silver coloration covered my body except for my belly, those scales was a light silver if you could call it that. Two massive wings rested along my sides and well, at least my eyes are still blue though they have slit irises now. Overall I looked like a smaller version of Draco from Dragonheart, just a different color.

"This will take some getting use to, but I guess the main question is. Who did this to me?"

"I believe I can answer that" a feminine voice answered off the the side. When we all looked, a pure white alicorn was standing there smiling. No one said anything till Celestia spoke up.

"Harmony? Your responsible for this?"

"Yes, I am the one responsible for his transformation."

Everyone else other than Tia and Luna was looking at the strange alicorn in confusion. Other than the four present and little Flurry, there are no other alicorns, right?

"But why? Is there a threat on the horizon or is it for another reason" Tia asked hesitantly.

"No other reason than Luna is happy and she deserves it after what has happened in her long life" Harmony answered while smiling at us. "I know I have overstepped my bounds in transforming you into this form, but it was the only way. You already possessed great strength, but didn't know it and a pony body or even a alicorn body would not have contained what your true power is."

"What do you mean? I was no stronger than the average human. We have no magic like here. All humanity has is its intellect and the will to survive" I said confused. I mean, human can't have magic. Right?

"That is true Tim, but in your time here you have changed. This is your true potential" she said pointing at me. "I also wanted to bring back a lost race as well." She started giggling before looking at Luna. "Be careful of him in bed little Luna. His vigor might be more than you can handle." I locked up as I watched the alicorn fade away still giggling. When I finally could move, I looked at the others and all I could see was heavy blushes on all four alicorns.

"Who the hell was THAT?"

"That was the physical manifestation of the Elements of Harmony when they need to speak to us, which is rare I might add" Celestia answered. "The last time I recall her appearance was right after we defeated Discord."

"Either way, I feel like I just got trolled" I deadpanned and of course they all started giggling, bit I got a apologetic nuzzle from Luna. I couldn't help but smile at her and she in return smiled back before kissing me.

"I guess I can get used to this."

"You have all of eternity with me to get used to it Tim." The thought of eternity with Luna sounded like waking up in heaven everyday to me.
