The Stallion of Rarity's Dreams

View Online

It was an average day in Manehattan. Ponies bustling around the streets, fighting desperately to get a cab so that they could get where they needed to be, when they needed be. Though one thing was different about Manehattan this day. Rarity was there. Word had gone around that Rarity actually made that special material and Suri Polomare was getting in big trouble for stealing her material.

Upon coming back from receiving what was rightfully hers, Rarity was trying to find a cab that would get her out of town. In a hurry to find one, she bumped into a stallion.

"Oh! I'm very sorry sir, I was just- jus..." Rarity stared at the stallion's sparkly blue eyes, beautifully combed blue mane, shining white teeth, and gleaming snow-white coat.

"Excuse me?" The stallion replied, unsure of why Rarity was staring at him.

"Oh! Hehehe... I must be going-" She dashed off.

Sweetie Belle's Idea

View Online

Rarity slammed the door of the Carousel Boutique behind her.

"I'm home!" Rarity shouted. "Fluttershy, are you here?" Rarity had asked Fluttershy to watch after Sweetie Belle while she was gone to Manehattan.

"Rarity!" A bouncing Sweetie Belle squealed, running down the stairs. Once she reached the bottom, she slipped on the floor and crashed into the coffee table by the door, caused a vase to fall off and shatter on the hard floor.

"Sweetie Belle!" Rarity screamed. "That was an antique vase! There are only 6 that exist in the entire world!" She wailed.

Later, once Rarity had stopped crying, Sweetie Belle started to talk. "So, how was your trip?" She asked.

"Where's Fluttershy?" Rarity questioned.

Sweetie Belle made the lets-change-the-subject-right-now face and said "She's upstairs... sleeping?" She smiled guiltily.

"Forget it, I don't wanna know." Rarity rolled her eyes. Rarity went upstairs to see where Fluttershy was, but Sweetie Belle stopped her in her tracks.

"Wait! Why don't we have some lunch first!" She suggested.

"It's 2:00" Rarity glared. Sweetie Belle smiled. Soon enough Rarity found herself sitting with Sweetie Belle eating daisy sandwiches. Rarity remembered the stallion she saw.

"Sweetie Belle..." Rarity began.

"What?" Sweetie responded.

"Have you ever heard of the term 'love at first sight'?" Rarity asked.

"Sure I have! What about it?" The white filly replied excitedly.

Rarity hesitated. "Well, I saw this stallion that-"

"Say no more, big sister! Your good old sister Sweetie Belle is here to help!" Sweetie Belle cried.

"Huh?" Rarity asked, confused.

"You saw a really really really handsome pony? Riiight?" Sweetie Belle grinned. "Well, go back to Manehattan! Find him! Talk to him!" She continued.

"But Sweetie Belle, you see, it's not that easy to marry him right away. Prince Blueblood was a rude brute, and I don't intend to have another situation like that. But I just CAN'T stop thinking about him!" She bawled.

Sweetie Belle stroked her imaginary stubble, and thought. CLICK! A lightbulb went off in her head. "That's it!" She exploded. "I have a way you can find love with him!" She said.

"You do? You do? WHAT IS IT?" Rarity squealed.

"Drumroll, please." Sweetie Belle called. "The way you can marry him is..."

"Yes?" Rarity asked?

"Issss.... a love potion!" She said.

The Peridot Present

"A love potion?" Rarity frowned. "Wouldn't that be... well-"

"What?" Sweetie Belle asked considerably.

"I dunno, cheating?" Rarity said uncertainly. "I mean, what's the point of marrying someone if it's not out of their true love inside..."

"Oh, come on big sis! Once you know him an' all and know what he likes and stuff then you can make the antidote!" Sweetie Belle smiled.

"But-"

"No buts big sis, you know I'm right. Now, go make a love potion!" Sweetie Belle opened the door and shoved Rarity outside, slamming the door behind her.

"Well, I never." Rarity grunted.

As she headed to Twilight's library, she ran into Spike.

"Hey Rarity, hows it going?" Spike smiled. "You wanna come to Twilight's? I have something for you!"

Rarity knew Spike had a crush on her, and he was probably going to give her a gem or something. She liked this though, and fancied calling him her 'Spikey-Wikey' because of this.

"Thanks Spike! I'd love to see your gift and actually, I was heading there just now!" Rarity laughed. They both began to walk to the Golden Oak Library together. Soon, they arrived. Spike let Rarity in first.

"Ladies first." He smiled. Rarity giggled.

"Twilight!" Spike called. "Rarity's here!" Twilight came down the stairs to greet Rarity.

"Hey Rarity, Spike has a little something to show you..."

Rarity smiled. "Yes, and also I'm wondering if you have any books on... love potions?" Rarity nudged Twilight's shoulder.

"Rarity... What are you up to..." Twilight grinned. Spike wasn't listening. He was too busy getting the surprise ready for Rarity.

"It was Sweetie Belle's idea!" Rarity chuckled.

"Now don't go playing the blame game Rarity, you know you want this love potion don't you?" Twilight used her magic to levitate a book titled Book of Potions: Grade 1 in front of Rarity's face. Rarity snatched it greedily.

"I'll take that!" Rarity said triumphantly.

"Page 67." Twilight mumbled. Rarity levitated the book into her saddlebag.

"Thank you!"

"Just remember what happened when the CMC made that love potion..."

"Oh, Twilight!" Rarity laughed. "You won't have to worry your pretty little head about something like that. Rarity has everything under control!" She smiled.

"If you say so." Twilight shrugged.

"Now, what is you wanted to show me my little Spikey-Wikey?" Rarity asked, turning to Spike. Spike started digging through a large bag, throwing things aside occasionally.

"Aha!" He beheld. He held out a gem. It was covered it dirt, and you could hardly see what kind of gem was underneath all the filth.

"It's... Beautiful? Rarity tried to smile.

"Oh!" Spike smiled sheepishly. He cleaned off the gem with his fire breath, then held it out again. Now Rarity could see that it was a spherical, perfectly carved, polished green peridot! Rarity's eyes changed to reflections of the amazing gemstone.

"Forget beautiful, it's FABULOUS!!!" Rarity beamed. She grabbed Spike and squeezed him tight. Then, she saw what she was doing, blushed, then set him down, patting him on the head. And that gemstone made her day.

"Is she gone?" A voice whispered from behind the sofa in the Carousel Boutique.

"Yup." Sweetie Belle smiled, looked out the window. Rarity was nowhere in sight.

"Coast is clear!" The pony behind the sofa shouted. Two ponies dashed to Sweetie's side. One, Apple Bloom, came bounding from down the stairs. The other, Scootaloo, came out from behind the sofa.

"Operation continue-crusading is go!" Apple Bloom grinned.

SNAP! CRACK! CRAAAASH!!!

"That sounded like it came from upstairs!" Sweetie Belle informed. The three dashed up the stairs, to find a very angry Fluttershy standing there.

"We're sorry we tied you up and put duct tape around you mouth..." Scootaloo apologized guiltily.

GIIIIIIRRRRRLLLLLLSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!

"What was that noise?" Rarity covered her ears while walked back to the boutique. All the windows of the boutique smashed. Rarity gasped. "Sweetie Belle?" She ran toward her house concerned.

The Potion

View Online

It had been one full week since Rarity had recieved the potions book from Twilight. She still had no clue what what the book meant when it said 'one drop of happiness'. It seems like it would be something everypony would know about. But Rarity hadn't a clue. She was going to ask Twilight, but she just didn't have time. She was so caught up in her work that she had no time for anything. Even Spike tried to drop by and Rarity was too busy to even answer the door. Although she had been busy, she was stuck on that step.

One drop of happiness

She thought over it over and over again in her mind, but nothing seemed to click. She decided it would be best to find the time to ask Twilight. And heck- why not now? So she headed out the door to the Golden Oak Library. Twilight agreed to help her finish the potion. Rarity brought it along with her just in case.

"Hmmm... Let's see... One drop of..." "Oh!" Twilight smiled. "It means a teardrop Rarity."

"Pardon?"

"Tears of joy?" "Ring any bells, Rarity?" Twilight glared.

"Oh! Yes! But how do we get one?" Rarity asked.

"I've gotcha covered!" Twilight smiled. She ran upstairs, and came back down with a small elixir in her hoofs. "One happy tear! Here ya go Rarity!" Twilight shoved the elixir into Rarity's hooves.

"You- You- You have a-" Rarity stuttered.

"Well of course! More than one a potion needs that ingredient!" Twilight said, making a troll face. Rarity poured the drop into her potion. Fizzzzzzzzz..... POP! A heart rose over the bottle in pink smoke, and the liquid also turned pink.

"Why thank you Twilight! I'm off!" Rarity shouted, out the door already.

"Well, I just hope things don't get out of hand..." Twilight shrugged.

Rarity opened the door to the Carousel Boutique. "Now, where was that book?" She wondered. Once she found it, she turned to the page of the love potion.

How to Use Potion

Step 1: Drink the Potion

Step 2: Give the Potion to the One You Want to Fall In Love With You

Step 3: The second drinker will fall in love with you!

"Ooooh..." Rarity grinned. "Time for step one..." But before she could drink it, Somebody knocked at the door. Rarity gasped. "Oh no!" She screeched. "It's Sapphire Shores! I totally forgot!" She rushed to the door. She was supposed to show Sapphire Shores her line of clothes she made for her friends. She quickly grabbed the outfits and opened the door.

While Rarity was gone with Sapphire Shores, Spike decided to visit Rarity, not knowing that she wasn't home. He walked up to her front door and knocked. Nobody answered. Spike knew that Sweetie Belle was off doing crusading business, but he had no idea Rarity wasn't home. She hadn't been home a lot lately. Maybe she just didn't hear him. He knocked again. Nothing. He thought that since they were good friends, than she'd be okay if he just walked in. To his surprise, the door was unlocked. He opened it up and went inside. "Raaarity!" he called. She was no where. He was about to leave, when he saw this delicious-looking punch sitting on Rarity's counter. "I don't think she'll mind if I only drink a little." he grinned maliciously. So he took a tiny sip. "Hm. Pinkie Pie's is better." he shrugged. And with that, he left.

3 Hours Later

"Thank you for coming to do this with me!" Rarity called to Sapphire Shores.

Sapphire smiled. "No, thank YOU Rarity. Your dresses will be revolutionary!" She cried.

Ok... Whatever that means... Rarity thought. She opened her door. It was unlocked. She gasped. "I guess i was such in a hurry out the door that I forgot to lock it!" She exclaimed. "Oh well..." She was about to go upstairs when she noticed the potion. Spike and sipped such a teeny amount that Rarity didn't even notice. "Oh! I almost forgot!" And so she drank some of the potion. A weird sensation went over her body. She suddenly had a weird urge to be with Spike.

She remembered the peridot Spike gave just one week ago, and the fire ruby he gave her when it was his first birthday in Ponyville. "Hmmm..." Rarity thought. "Maybe..." KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK! Rarity sighed. Might as well answer it. She walked down the stairs and opened the door. Nobody was there. "Hello?" Rarity called. No one answered. She looked down, and to surprise, she found a present. Wrapped with diamond-pattern wrapping paper with a cyan bow. It had a note attached to it. She read:

Dearest Rarity,

I saw you in Manehattan and I asked the fashion artists there if they knew who you were. Luckily, they had and answer. I just couldn't stop thinking about you and your beautiful eyes, I immediatly sent this package to you to show my love. If you truly love me back, meet me at the Ponyville Town Hall tomarrow at 6:00. Yes, I will come to you, and yes, I will cater dinner.

Your Very Own Stallion, Blue Diamonds

She didn't open the present yet, she would save that for tomorrow, before the date!

Rarity squealed with delight. "He loves me he loves me!" "No need for the love potion now! I have a date to go to!" And she threw the potion away.

A Date with Diamond

Rarity awoke to a loud banging. "Sweetie Belle..." She groaned. She flopped out of bed, dragging herself downstairs and hitting the bottom step with a loud thud. But the banging wasn't from Sweetie Belle. It was somebody knocking on her door. But who could it be this early in the morning? She looked through the peephole, and let out the biggest gasp, so loud that the pony outside the door could probably hear. "It's Blue Diamonds!" She screamed. "He must've meant 6:00 AM not 6:00 PM!" She ran into Sweetie Belle's room and shook her awake. "Tell the guy at the door I'm coming down in ten minutes!" And with that she dashed upstairs. But Sweetie Belle wasn't there. She had gone off to do crusading and replaced her sleeping self with a white teddy bear. Rarity quickly brushed her mane, got in her clothes, put on accessories, and grabbed the present that she had not yet opened to take with her. This all took a process of twelve minutes. She could've sworn she'd heard knocks while she was getting dressed, but she was probably just hearing things. By the time she came downstairs, it was 6:21, and she opened the door. Nobody was there. She looked in the distance, and saw Blue Diamonds in the distance, walking away, looking disappointed. She ran toward him in an unladylike manor. "Blue-Blue..." She panted. He turned around.

"You- you look... amazing." Blue Diamonds complimented.

"Sorry for the delay, I just thought you meant 6:00... p m. Hehe." Rarity smiled. He laughed.

"Oh no no no no..." He chuckled. "I want to spend the whole day with you, Rarity." He bowed. Rarity thought he had the cutest voice, he was the sweetest guy she ever met. In return, she blushed a little and giggled.

"Where to first?" He asked.

"Anywhere with you, Blue Diamonds..." Rarity blushed.

"Please, call me Diamond. That's what my friends call me at least."

"Oh, by the end of this day, we'll be more than friends..." Rarity giggled.

Their first destination was the breakfast bar, both of them were extremely hungry. "Don't worry Rarity, I'll pay." Diamond smiled. Rarity smiled back. Once they had gotten their food and had sat down on one of the tables outside, they sat down. After at least four minutes of awkward silence, Diamond started to talk. "Sooo... How's life?" he asked her.

Rarity responded truthfully. "Boring." She answered. Just like this date is going to be she thought to herself. Wait? Why would I say that?Diamond took a small nibble out of his waffle. "You know what!" Rarity fake smiled. "I'm not hungry anymore. You?" She gestured to Diamond. He seemed surprised. He got up.

"Hahaha... Yea... I- I was gonna say that..." He fake smiled back.

Aaaawwwkkkwaaarrrddd.... Rarity thought. As they began walking to find a place to go, Rarity couldn't stop thinking about Spike. All of the sudden the world around began to spin, and she fell to the ground...

She all of the sudden awoke in her bed. It didn't feel real. "Huh?" She looked around. Spike was on top of her. And oh mama, he looked handsome! He was wearing a little tuxedo. His eyes fluttered open. He looked cuter than ever. Rarity held out the peridot. "Here Spike. Take it, I can;t just keep accepting gifts from you. She kissed him on the head. "Rarity, I got this gem for you, not me, now take it." He shoved the jewel back into Rarity's hands. She smiled. "Rarity, did I ever tell you I loved you?" He said, hugging her.It felt good. She didn't want to let go. But she had to. She was waking up. The world around her began to twirl and twist...

"Gah!" Rarity squeaked. She saw Diamond's face in front of her.

"Rarity, are you okay?" He asked. "Your eyes turned... nevermind."

That was weird... Rarity thought. "I- I think-" Rarity faked a cough. "I think I'm coming down with something..." She faked. "Hehe..."

She speed off.

Diagnosis: In Love

Rarity barged into her house and jumped onto her bed. "That date was a DISASTER!!!" She wailed. She almost forgot about the present. She teared off the wrapping paper and opened the box. Inside were a pair of sapphire earrings. "Oh, maybe I shouldn't have dumped him. I-" Then she realized something. She could tell (being a gem expert and all) that those gems were fakes! "Why that little...." "No... He probably couldn't afford real gems..." "Then why did SPIKE afford that PERIDOT!!!" "Well... he is a DRAGON..." "But still..." "SPIKE'S GIFT IS BETTER!!!" Rarity found herself yelling. "Maybe a little reading will help me... Twilight always said reading was the best pass-time..." She opened the book. But she could've sworn... every single page she turned had Spike on it. "Uhhh.... on second thought, why don't I designing clothes?" "Yea..." She walked upstairs to her studio. She noticed the fire ruby Spike gave her. "Such kindness and generosity..." She sighed. She slapped herself. What's happening to me? Then she realized the problem, everything came together.

"I'm in love with Spike!" She squealed.

A Surprise For Spike

View Online

Rarity ran out of her house frantically in a rush to get to the Golden Oak Library. She had to get to Spike. BANG BANG BANG! She slammed on the door. A very concerned Twilight Sparkle opened it up. "Rarity, isn't it unladylike to knock like that?" "And why are you sweating?" She asked. "Isn't that unladylike too?"

"I don't care!" shouted Rarity. "Where's Spike? I must confess something to him!"

"He's upstairs... sleeping...." Twilight glared.

"May I?" She asked.

"May you what, wake him up? NO!" Twilight yelled.

"No, dear, I just want to see him..."

Creepy. Twilight thought. Rarity walked upstairs and saw Spike sleeping on his bed.

"Awwww.... He looks so custesy-wusety on his teensy wittle bed." Rarity smiled. She gave Spike a kiss on the head, and left a rose near with a note reading: Carousel Boutique; 5:30 PM. Rarity...xoxoxo After Rarity was out the door, Spike flung out of bed.

"YES YES YES YES YES!!!!" He cried happy as can be. Twilight rolled her eyes. Spike began to get ready for the date. He put on his best clothes. Which happened to be his gala clothes. He thought it looked perfect. It was 2:45, so Spike slipped the rose through his tux pocket flap. He was still wondering why Rarity wanted to go out with him. He could've sworn that she was dating a guy named Blue Diamonds... not to be creepy or anything... Anyways, it was still strange. But Spike wasn't going to complain about dating Rarity. Once time had passed, Spike decided that he was going to show up early. He passed by the store while he was at it and bought some flowers. Then he headed to the boutique. Once he got there he knocked on the door lightly. Sweetie Belle answered. "Spike?" she laughed. "Why are you dressed like that?" she chuckled. "Rarity asked me out on a date." Spike stated proudly. Sweetie Belle looked awfully surprised. "Really?" She asked putting her face close up to Spike's. "Really." Spike answered calmly.

No wonder she order that picture frame of Spike's face... Sweetie Belle thought. "Well, hold on a sec." She said walking to the bottom of the stairs. "RARITY!!!" She boomed "SPIKESUPHEREATTHEDOORREADYFORTHEDATE!!!!"

Spike laughed. I don't think even Princess Luna can yell that loud...

"Wait... WHAT?!?!" Rarity screamed. "He's an hour and a half early! I'm not even ready yet!"

"She's not even ready yet." Sweetie Belle echoed to Spike.

"Tell him to come back later!"

"Come back later." Sweetie Belle told Spike.

"Wait... Tell him to come in..."

Spike left out the door. It opened back up behind him. "Come in." Sweetie Belle smiled. Spike rolled his eyes.

Rarity ran downstairs. She looked beautiful in Spike's eyes. Her dress was a dark magenta with blue ribbons tied around it with golden linen along the sides. It looked like she was going to go to the gala. "Why hello Spike!" She smiled. "Come sit down and stay for dinner."

Once they sat down (Rarity had prepared a romantic dinner for them), Spike started to talk. "So, you're really in love with me?" Spike asked.

"Why of course Spikey-Wikey, who wouldn't fall for your cute little chubby cheeks." Rarity laughed.

Spike tried to speak. "I- uh..."

"Oh, don't worry Spike! I know what your trying to say... You're asking me to be your very special some pony!" Rarity squealed. "Of course, YES!!!"

This must be my lucky day! Suddenly Spike remembered the flowers. He handed them to Rarity. "Here, I brought these for you." He said.

"Aw... how romantic. Thanks my little Spikey-Wikey." She said using her magic to bring Spike to her face.

"Uhhh... R-r-r-rarity... w-w-what are you doing?" Spike stuttered.

"Don't worry Spike, I've done this before..." Rarity said closing her eyes.

Spike smiled and closed his eyes, too. Rarity was about to kiss Spike on the lips when suddenly Sweetie Belle screamed.

AAAAH!!!!

Rarity glared at her. She smiled "Hehe... sorry."

Hey continued their kiss... Spike soon felt Rarity's lips touch his, feeling the warmth of her lips onto his. It was a dream come true, the most wonderful moment of Spike's entire life. "Sorry." Rarity giggled. "Maybe I did that to soon?" She asked.

"N-n-no... not at all." Spike said, falling to the ground with hearts all around him. "Well, I have to get to work now, but please, come again, Spike." She giggled.

Spike went out the door, lovestruck. "That was the best moment I've ever experienced In my entire life." Soon, he arrived his home. Twilight spotted him.

"Where were you?" she asked.

"Rarity's" Spike said lovingly.

"Hmmm..." Twilight said to herself.

Back at the Carousel Boutique, Rarity was panicking. "What did I tell him?" "I DON'T HAVE TO GET BACK TO WORK! I HAVE NO WORK!!!"

"Calm down, Juliet..." Sweetie Belle rolled her eyes. "So what, It's not like Spike is gonna be gone when you get to the library..."

Knock knock knock! "TWILIGHT!!!" Rarity screamed.

Twilight opened the door. "Spike isn't here." She said.

"NOOOOOO!!!!" Rarity screeched.

"Wait a minute." Twilight stated. "Spike is here... but..."

"He IS?" Rarity asked with hope in her eyes.

"Rarity, you've been acting kinda funny around Spike lately."

"Whatever do you mean dear?"

"Well, first, you wanted to watch him while he was sleeping, then you invited over to your house, and he came back wearing a tuxedo! And now you want to see him again?" Twilight cried angrily. "I'm starting to think..."

"That I'm in love with Spike? Well of course! What's wrong with that?" Rarity asked.

"Did somebody say my name?" Spike asked coming down the stairs? He noticed Rarity. "Rarity?"

"Quick! Act like you're not here!" Twilight said using her magic to slam the door in Rarity's face.

"Twilight, was that Rarity?" Spike asked.

"SPIKEY!!!" Rarity called banging on the door.

Twilight gasped. "THE POTION!"

She opened the door. "Rarity, where is that book that I lent you?" Twilight asked Rarity.

"You think I'm going to tell YOU after you SLAMMED THE DOOR IN MY FACE?!?!?!" Rarity boomed. She used her magic to bring Spike to her side and shut the door.

"Hurry Spikey!" She said frantically. "Or she'll find us!" She grabbed Spike's hand and they ran off.

Things Get Out of Hand

"Oh, my little Spikey-Wikey..." Rarity cooed once she had brought Spike to the Carousel Boutique. "Was she holding you captive in there?" Rarity asked.

"No Rarity, Really, I'm fine." Spike answered. Then he noticed a book on Rarity's coffee table. It was titled Book of Potions: Grade 1. "Hey, Rarity, what was that book Twilight wanted back from you?" Spike asked.

"Oh, this old thing?" Rarity chuckled using her magic to pick up the book Spike was looking at.

"W-w-what exactly did you need that for?" He asked.

"Well, dear, to make a love po-"

"A what?" Spike asked.

"That was weird." Rarity shook her head. "I just forgot what I was going to say."

"You were talking about that book you lent from Twilight..." Spike told her.

Rarity look down curiously at the book. "I don't- I don't even remember borrowing this from her! Let alone why I would need it!" Rarity stated.

Hmmm... Spike thought. What was she about to say? At that moment, Sweetie Belle came around the corner. "Hey Rarity, how'd that love potion work for ya?"

Back at the Golden Oak Library...

"Rarity somehow fell in love with Spike, and I know it's because of that potion she made!" Twilight justified. "Now, just where IS that potion? That book, more importantly, I need that antidote!" Suddenly, Twilight saw the garbage carriage come around out of the corner of her eye. As she watched the garbage pony dump Rarity's garbage into the carriage, she noticed a pink flash. "OH NO!" She cried. Immediately she went outside to stop this disaster. "Hello... umm... Mister- Garbage... Pony." She smiled.

The grumpy stallion just grunted at her words. "You need to empty your garbage before it's too late!" She screamed. RIIING!!! The garbage pony's ears went crazy. "The whole world is at staaaa....."

He turned down his hearing aids all the way. Hey, isn't she the mare who told everyone there was gonna be a disaster... and she was wrong? She needs a psychiatrist... The garbage pony thought to himself. All he could see now was Twilight blabbering with no words coming out. He smiled. "Aaaah!" He grinned.

Rarity began snuggling with Spike, squeezing him half to death. "Iloveyouspikeywikeyawwyourcuteletssnuggleyeaooo" was all that came out of her mouth.

"Help.... meee...." Spike called gasping for air.

"Sis? I said HOW IS THE LOVE POTION GOING FOR YOU?" Sweetie Belle mouthed.

"Help." Spike breathed.

"Oh well. Guess she can't hear me." Sweetie Belle hopped upstairs.

"No." Spike squeaked. "Come- back-"

At Sugarcube Corner...

"Hmmm.... this recipe needs something..." A pink pony said, rubbing her chin. "I GOT IT!" "No..." she would say over and over again. Then she noticed the cake twins, Pumpkin and Pound, crawling through the door out of Sugarcube Corner. "Oh no!" Pinkie Pie said, rushing to the toddlers. "Gotcha!" She said, as she grabbed Pumpkin Cake. She watched as Pound Cake flew and flew and flew further away from her. "Crud." She groaned.

"Pound Cake!" She yelled as she pedaled as fast as she could on her all-pink bike, with Pumpkin riding in the front basket. "Oh no!" She cried. Pound Cake was heading straight for... The Ponyville Landfill! "POUND! YOU GET DOWN HERE RIGHT NOW!" Or you'll be flat as a pancake... Pinkie Pie knew that the landfill crushed the trash into little cubes if they could no longer be recycled. "PPOOOOUUUUNNNNDDD!!!!" She screamed.

"DA DA!" Pumpkin clapped. Pinkie noticed Carrot Cake rounding a corner to get to Sugarcube Corner.

"OH NO!" "If he sees me, or worse, if he sees Pound... I'm-"

"DEDDED!" Pumpkin smiled.

"Yup." Pinkie gulped. "Dead." She quickly threw a mini pink pie on the ground. Pink smoke exploded everywhere. Carrot Cake passed right by them. Once the smoke cleared, Pinkie Pie, her bike, and Pumpkin were pure pink. "Ha!" She chanted. "I knew those crumble pies would come in handy!" She started to pedal once more. She noticed Pound playing in one of the trash heaps. A trash carriage was about to dump a heap of trash onto him. "NO!" Pinkie yelled. "He'll suffocate!" She started to yell and motion to the pony operating the carriage. "DON'T DO IT!!! THERE'S AN INNOCENT LIFE AT RISK!!!!"

The trash pony stared. All he saw was Pinkie's rapid-moving lips. Man, that's TWO crazy mares and counting today... He rolled his eyes, pulling the lever to let out the trash.

"NOOOOOO!!!!!!" Pinkie screamed. The heap of trash went over Pound. Dang it! That affects my babysitting resumé! She thought. All of the sudden, Pound popped his head out of the trash. "Phew!" Pinkie wiped her brow. She went to the trash heap to grab Pound, when she noticed a vile of glowing pink liquid. "Oooh!" "THAT would make a good surprise ingredient for my special cupcakes!" So she grabbed the vile and left.

Meanwhile, while Spike was being smothered by Rarity, he took the time to think. If Sweetie Belle mentoined a love potion then that must explain why Rarity acting all lovey-dovey to me. That 'juice' I took a sip from must've been the potion! Oh no Spike, look what you've done now! If I'm correct, then that means Twilight knew this all along, and was trying to get the book so that she could get the antidote! Spike gasped. "Rarity!" Rarity released her grip on Spike.

"What, dear?" She asked.

"Think fast!" Spike yelled as he jumped off the couch, grabbed the book, and ran out the door.

"Spikey!" Rarity screamed, running after him.

Sorry Rarity. Spike thought. He looked behind him to see Rarity chasing him. "Oh no!" He picked up the pace. He ran inside the library, slamming the door behind him and putting his back against it to hold it there.

"Spike?" Twilight said walking down the stair carrying a stack of books. She noticed the little dragon holding the door. She instantly dropped all the books she was carrying to help Spike out.

BANG! "SPIKEY?" BANG BANG!

"Twilight, I just want to tell you something, in case I don't make it!" Spike yelled.

"Oh please Spike." Twilight laughed. "What's the worst that could happen?"

"She's gonna snuggle me to death!" Spike cried. This caused Twilight to laugh so hard, she let loose her grip on the door, falling to the ground. Rarity smashed through the doors.

"Spike!" she cried, picking him from the ground and kissing him from head to toe. "I want us to be together." She smiled. "Please Spike, be my special dragon..."

Spike thought of whether he should say yes, because it's his dream, or for the sake of being snuggled to death, no. Spike exploded. "NO NO NO!" He screamed. This caused Rarity to drop him. "Maybe i didn't have the proper entrance?" She cried. "I should go change my outfit!" Amd she ran out the door. "Phew." Spike breathed.

"FREE SAMPLES FOR EVERYPONY!" Pinkie cried as her new cupcakes were finished and ready to be eaten. "I made them with a very special ingredient!" She told them as the cupcakes were snatched one by one by hungry ponies. "Hope you enjoy them!" Pinkie tried one. "Mmmm...." She felt a chill go down her spine. "Whew!" "That was weird."

Back at the library, Spike just stood there, breathing hard, Twilight still laughing on the ground. He spotted something pink hopping to the library through the window. "Pinkie Pie?" Spike opened the door. "PINKIE PIE! OVER HERE!" He motioned.

He watched her yell "Hey everybody! he's over here!"

"Huh?" Spike squinted. Once Pinkie Pie got up to Spike, she embraced him in a tight hug.

"Spike, I have something to tell you."

"What's that Pinkie Pie?" Spike asked, hoping it was that there were free samples at Sugarcube Corner or that she had brought a tasty treat for him.

"Spike, you won my heart! I love you more than anything in the world!" She beamed.

"Really?" Spike stared at Pinkie wide-eyed.

"Yup!" She smiled. "And so do they!" She gestured outside. RRRRUUUMMMBBBLLLEEE!!! A huge group of ponies was running to the library.

"WE LOVE YOU SPIKE!!!" They all cried.

"Oh no..." Spike stared. "TWILIGHT, STAMMPEEEDE!!! RUUUUUNNNN!!!!" Spike yelled, running upstairs and jumping out the window. Twilight stopped laughing and got up.

"Huh?" She looked around. "Gah!" The herd of ponies ran her over. "No kidding Spike." She squeaked weakly.

Rarity soon noticed the the crowd chasing after Spike. "NO, HE'S MY SPIKEY-WIKEY!!!"

"Oh no..." Spike groaned.

The Cure

"HEEEELLLLPPP!!!!" Spike cried frantically as he ran from the giant herd, led by a bouncing Pinkie Pie. Soon they chased him into an alleyway and soon he came to a dead end. He was trapped. The ponies cornered him, holding out gifts, Pinkie Pie was holding out sweets, and Rarity was giving him gems. "Oooh... don't mind if I do!" Spike said, grabbing a couple of gems and cupcakes, stuffing his face full. "Wait a minute. Spike, focus!" He told himself. "I need to find a cure for these ponies and quick!" "The question is, how did they all get some of the love potion?" The herd of ponies jumped on him kissing him. And why did the potion make them drawn to me? I must've sipped out of the potion and made it linked to me... He thought and he shoved the ponies off of him. He had kiss marks all over him. One more time, he screamed for help.

"Awww.... Wittle Spikey Wikey overwhelmed by all these ponies?" Rarity grabbed Spike and cradled him in her arms. "Don't worry my love, I'll save you!" She said. Spike wiggled out of her hooves.

"STOOOOOOOOOOOOPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!" He screamed as loud as he ever had. "There's no need to fight over me like this!" "Now, what did all of you do in the last hour?" The mares (the potion obviously only works on girls if it's linked to a boy) all started answering eagerly.

"Well I was making a special treat for you, Spike." Bon Bon replied.

"I playing with bubbles, shaped like Spike." Derpy smiled.

"Pinkie was giving out free samples of cupcakes at Sugarcube Corner." Lyra answered.

"Wait, she was?" "What flavor?" Spike asked, getting a little carried away.

"Well, I added a secret special ingredient just for my little Spikey Poo!" Pinkie stated, holding out a cupcake. "Want one?"

"Oh no." Spike groaned.

"What? Don't like cupcakes?" Pinkie asked. "Well, I'm fine with kissing you some more." And all the mares were about to jump on Spike when a bright purple light popped in front of Spike. Twilight was standing there.

"Don't touch him!" She yelled. "HE'S MINE!" Her horn glowed, making a shield around the two.

"Twilight, not you t-"

"Shhhh..." Twilight shushed. "Just go with it, I'm trying to save your butt."

"Oh..." Spike blushed. The both teleported to the Golden Oak Library. Rarity was already there.

"SPIKEY!" She cried happily, reaching for Spike.

"Not so fast..." Twilight grinned. She shot a beam from her horn. It hit Rarity, causing every joint in her body to freeze. She was stuck in that pose. "There we go." Twilight said, brushing her hoofs off.

"I have the book right here." Spike said. "Let's get to work."

After making the antidote, they were ready for action. Spike stood outside with a the large pitcher of antidote in his claws. After a while, he spotted Pinkie Pie. "Spikey?" She said excitedly.

"Hey Pinkie Pie, since were dating and all, here's some really good punch for you to share with everypony at Sugarcube Corner." Spike smiled.

"HEY EVERYPONY! SPIKE'S GOT PUNCH FOR US!!!" Pinkie cried. Suddenly, tons of mares began lining up to get a taste of the punch.

"Whew." Spike said. "Glad this is over..."

2 days later

It had been two days since the incident with the love potion. Spike had Pinkie Pie throw away the rest of the cupcakes, but every now and then ponies would still come to the door asking for Spike's heart. But Spike and Twilight would just give them some antidote, and they'd be off. Spike soon decided it was time to make a real apology to Rarity to all the trouble he'd caused for drinking the potion. So he began his walk to the Carousel Boutique. He knocked on the door politely. Sweetie Belle opened it up.

"You again?" She yawned. Spike shoved her over and walked in.

"Rarity?" Spike called. "It's me, Spike."

Sweetie Belle got up clumsily. "I let him in!" She laughed.

"Coming, darling!" Spike heard her say. She came down the stairs, looking beautiful, as always.

"Rarity..." Spike started. "I just wanna say, I'm sorry for all the trouble I caused, again." He smiled.

"YOU caused?" Rarity asked, confused. "I made the potion, darling, It was MY fault that all of that happened." "But the good thing is, you and Twilight made the antidote and fixed my mistake, thank you ever so much."

Spike blushed. He'd remembered giving Rarity the antidote, and her reaction after he'd told her what happened. He laughed at the thought.

"Well, thanks for stopping by, Spike, come again please." Sweetie Belle said, shoving Spike out the door. Rarity glared at her.

After returning upstairs to her room, Rarity watched Spike leave through her window. "Spike..." She sighed, lovingly. She picked up the picture frame of him and hugged it. "Please don't leave me, my love..." She sighed as she pressed her hoof against the frame glass.
