The Doctor Displaced

David Tennant dresses up as the Doctor, and, to his surprise, a merchant has a replica of the TARDIS, so he buys it and steps inside. Everything goes black and here he is.

David Tennant, once the tenth Doctor, retired. Or so, he was supposed. He was asked to come to a con dressed as Ten which he did. Nothing compared to his surprise at a perfect replica of the TARDIS. He asked the man how much it was. A measly amount for a beautiful recreation. He opens the door steps inside, and its black.
The last thing he remembers is the Merchant grinning at him and looking at a screen.

"ALLONSY!"

Cancelled, for now.

David Tennant adjusted his suite, held out the sonic screwdriver, and opened the door to the con. Inside, people dressed as all kinds of characters walked around. Dullahan, Gilgamesh, a few others. David made his way through the crowd to his stage, where he and other actors would be talking and putting on scenes. As he found the stage, something caught his eye. In a booth, an old man had something interesting. A perfect copy of the TARDIS for his Doctor. Surprise lit his face and he walked up to the booth.

"Hello, Mr. Tennant, I take it you're looking at the TARDIS?" The crackling old voice asked.

"Yes. Its amazing. A perfect copy," he said, gaping in awe.

"It is for sale," the old man nodded.

"How much?" He asked quickly.

"For you, Mr. Tennant, it's free," the man smiled.

"You're kidding me," he asked.

"Not at all. Go ahead look inside," the man smiled, evilly.

David opened the door to find HIS TARDIS. As he looked around, blackness overcame him. He looked back to the door, where the old man smiled darkly. "I do hope you find it to your liking, Doctor."

(Ignore the Kylie thing)

When the Doctor came to, the TARDIS had landed. "Oh...Who was that man?" The Doctor rubbed his temples, "And where am I?" The Doctor stood up, wobbled a bit, and the TARDIS beeped. The small screen changed.

Planet: Equus

Country: Equestria

Species: Equus Callabus

Year: 1500 EQD

Day: June 20th

Time: 12:31 AM

Location: Ponyville, Golden Oaks Library

"That answers that question," the Doctor said. He opened the door of the TARDIS and poked his head outside. The moon glared down, the shape of a mare on its face, lighting up the town below. The houses had no lights. "Goodness." He stepped out and shut the TARDIS doors.

Meanwhile, inside the library, Twilight Sparkle was awoken by a strange noise. A hum and a groaning. She opened the window and a blue box was sitting below her window. As she watched a bipedal creature got out and walked down the street out of sight.

[TARDIS LOADING DOCTOR.EXE....]

A grey maned mare stepped up to a the stage," In just a few moments, our town will witness the magic of the sunrise, and celebrate this, the longest day of the year! And now, it is my great honor to introduce to you the ruler of our land, the very pony who gives us the sun and the moon each and every day, the good, the wise, the bringer of harmony to all of Equestria..."

Fluttershy looked around, "Ready?"

Mayor Mare continued, "...Princess Celestia!"

Rarity looked at the mayor, "Huh?"

"Where is she?" one mare asked.

"Maybe its a joke?" a stallion replied.

Twilight sighed, "This can't be good."

Mayor Mare looked panicked, "Remain calm, everypony, there must be a reasonable explanation!"

Pinkie Pie grinned, "Ooh, ooh, I love guessing games! Is she hiding?"

Rarity gasped, "She's gone!"

Pinkie Pie frowned, "Ooh, she's good." She yelped.

Twilight paled, "Oh no... Nightmare Moon!" Spike sighed.

Nightmare Moon appeared in a blast of blue, "Oh, my beloved subjects. It's been so long since I've seen your precious, little sun-loving faces."

Rainbow Dash flew up, looking ready for a fight, "What did you do with our Princess?!" Applejack roped her and pulled her down, "Whoa there, Nelly..."

Nightmare Moon laughed, "Why, am I not royal enough for you? Don't you know who I am?"

Pinkie Pie grinned and her eyes twinkled, "Ooh, ooh, more guessing games! Um, Hokey Smokes! How about... Queen Meanie! No! Black Snooty, Black Snooty--mft!"

Nightmare Moon frowned, "Does my crown no longer count now that I have been imprisoned for a thousand years? Did you not recall the legend? Did you not see the signs?"

Twilight walked forward, "I did. And I know who you are. You're the Mare in the Moon – Nightmare Moon!"

Multiple ponies gasped.

Nightmare Moon chuckled, "Well well well, somepony who remembers me. Then you also know why I'm here."

Twilight Sparkle yelled, "You're here to... to..." Twilight gulped.

Nightmare Moon chuckled once more, "Remember this day, little ponies, for it was your last. From this moment forth, the night will last forever!"

The girls, and Spike, ran out towards the Everfree, Twilight yelling about the Elements.

"Twilight, what do ya mean, 'The Elements of Harmony'?" asked Applejack.

"Well, I've read enough history, and being Celestia's student to know a small amount. Around 1,500 years ago, Celestia and Luna found six gems, and used them to defeat an evil tyrant controlling Equestria. They were later referred to as the 'Elements of Harmony'. Laughter, Kindness, Loyalty, Generosity, Honesty, and the unnamed sixth," Twilight answered, galloping alongside the others.

[TARDIS LOADING ELEMENTS.EXE...]

"NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!" screamed Nightmare Moon. The demon vanished. Nothing left.

"She's... gone?" asked Rainbow Dash.

"We won!" cheered Rarity. Pinkie began bouncing but an ominous sound echoed through the room.

It was Nightmare, and she was cackling. "Foolish ponies, did you really think I'd let you find them so easily? NO. Now, have fun on the moon!" A beam of light hit the girls and they looked around at a barren grey landscape.

"Where are we?" asked Rainbow Dash.

"You're on the moon," a voice answered from behind them. They turned around to see a man standing in front of their view of the planet.

"Who are you?" asked Twilight.

"I'm the Doctor. I'm a Time Lord. I'm from the planet Gallifrey in the Constellation of Kasterborous. I'm 903 years old and I'm the man who is gonna save your lives and all 6 billion people on the planet below. You got a problem with that?" he asked.

"No," answered Rainbow Dash.

"In that case," he said as the TARDIS materialized around them, "ALLONSY!"

Chapter 2

It was another taxing day for our hero.... And by that, he was stuck doing taxes.

"Ugh!" Ben groaned, slamming his head to the table. "None of this makes a lick of sense!"

Twilight patted her friend's shoulder. "You'll get through it, Ben. I know you can."

"I don't know math, dang it!" He moaned into the hard, crystalline surface. "Stupid royals and their stupid forms. I'm not an accountant!"

"Stop complaint," Skurd chastised, rolling his eyes. "You need to get this done for your next trial.... which is in three days."

Ben pried his face off the table, picking up the quill and getting back to filling out form after form. "I hate this."

"I know, but the sooner it's done the better off you'll be."

Ben sighed. "What I wouldn't give for a distraction right about now."

As he spoke, a sonic screwdriver dropped onto the table, though it was quite different from the one he was familiar with. Twilight snatched it in her magic before Ben could grab for it, moving it closer to her so she could examine it.

“How strange. It’s obviously a sonic screwdriver like Kat’s, based on the appearance. Yet, it’s also very different. It’s not as a long, nor as bulky. It’s slimmer, sleeker, and I would say it’s much more stylish this way.”

Ben and Skurd rolled their eyes. “Apologies, your highness, but your sense of style is quite lacking. Simple is not always the best choice, you know.”

The pony princess narrowed her eyes at the slimebiot. “Oh hush you.”

A post-it note fluttered down, landing on the screwdriver. /Setting D10/ it said.

“D10?” Skurd asked. “Well now how does that help? That odd little machine doesn’t look like it has a way to alter it. It only has one button!”

“Hmm,” Twilight mused. “Maybe if I use my magic to adjust it a little.” She put on a little pressure, the screwdriver lighting up its blue tip and emitting its familiar sound. “I think… I just about… Got it!”

A hum and groan echoed from outside and a voice yelled out, "Allons-y! Oh no. Not again. Look out!"

“Everybody down!” Ben shouted, tackling Twilight to the ground. As soon as they hit the ground something crashed into the room. Once the dust settled they could see a man step out and look up at the blue box.

"Oh no. The TARDIS... looks like I can't go back until she fixes herself," David groaned before sighing, "Sorry about this."

Twilight sat up with a groan, gasping loudly when she saw the state of the room. “MY CASTLE!!” she cried, looking at the destroyed walls and paperwork that had been scattered everywhere. “Oh come on!! Why does everypony keep attacking my castle?! It’s not fair~!!”

"I'll fix it before I leave. Now...what could have interfered with her," he turned around and looked at Ben and Twilight. "Once again, very sorry."

“Ugh, why does this always have to…” Ben trailed off when he noticed the visitor. There was something oddly familiar about him. “Hey… do I know you?”

"Oh. On Earth my name was David. David Tennant. Your name?" David asked.

“Ben. Ben 10X… wait, David Tennant? The David Tennant, the famous actor?!”

"Indeed," David said, smiling lightly.

“Woah, awesome! I remember when I was four years old, I snuck into Hamlet and saw you perform… never got to finish the show, but it was a lovely play. First one I ever saw.”

"Well, thank you," David smiled before musing, "I probably have a recording of the play in the TARDIS if you ever want to finish it," he offered.

“Ooh, an Earth play?!” Twilight gushed, momentarily forgetting about her destroyed rooms. “I would love to see that!!”

"I can probably bring the theatre to the front while the TARDIS repairs the controls and engines," David said, "but first, where in Equestria is this? I know how Twilight is an alicorn but this castle is new."

“Oh, you’re in Ponyville, Mr. Tennant,” Twilight explained. “This is Castle Harmony, my castle and home.”

"Time never ceases to surprise me," David laughed.

“Oh no,” Ben sighed, putting a hand to his head. “Not time travel again. It was bad enough with Eon.”

"No worries," David said, "I never time travel in other worlds without residential permission and escort."

“Please don’t time travel,” Twilight shuddered. “It’s caused a lot of problems here.”

"Of course. Might I ask what kind of problems?" David said. "I can program the TARDIS to fix it from the present. Without messing up anything else."

“It’s already been fixed, Mr. Tennant,” Ben sighed. “That’s all been dealt with, thankfully.”

"Alright. Figured I should offer being stuck here for a bit. And good for you, and luck for me. Very well, I'll do nothing to interfere with this world. The castle will be fixed before I leave," David said.

“How are you here anyway?” Ben asked, fiddling with the screwdriver. “And why do you have a TARDIS? Only the Doctor has that and last I checked, he’s a pony.”

"Typical alternate world annoyances. I'm known as The Doctor back home," David sighed, "otherwise I call myself David."

“Why would anyone call you ‘The Doctor’?”

"I played him. On my Earth it was a TV show. I got a TARDIS from a vendor and here I am," he sighed again.

“I’ve never heard of a TV show with the TARDIS or the Doctor.”

"Probably didn't exist on your Earth, or it wasn't as popular."

“I’m gonna say it didn’t exist, because I think I’ve heard of a few other people mentioning something similar before. So… you got Displaced, huh? ...this yours then?” He held up the screwdriver.

"Yes. I felt the urge to make a new setting and suddenly it copied itself and the extras disappeared," David said, "very strange."

“It must be your token,” Ben said idly, playing with the screwdriver. “I’m kinda hoping this works. I’d love to be able to show my sister that I got one of my own now.”

"It might. Try aiming it at all the papers," David said.

Ben hesitated. “I’d rather not… those are kind of important forms… despite how much I despise them.”

"Toss it here then."

He shrugged and tossed it to the former actor. “Sure, why not.”

"Alright," he catches it and pulls out his sonic which whirrs for a moment. "Yup. Fully operational."

“Sweet!” Ben cheered. “Now this… this is better than taxes that I don’t know how to do.”

"Taxes? Ugh."

“That’s how I feel. But, I need to get them sorted for my next trial in a few days. Just my luck,” Ben sighed, Skurd moving up and patting his shoulder.

“There, there, dear boy. You’ll get through this! We shall persevere as a team!” the slimebiot proclaimed.

"Want to put them through the TARDIS? It can auto fill them out."

“Now that’s just lazy!” Twilight admonished. “One must fill out their own forms to the letter to prevent any mistakes from--”

“DEAL!!” Ben shouted, shoving all of the papers into the box.

Twilight face-desked… hard. “Why do I even try?”

"Twilight. The TARDIS knows all events. They will be done how Ben would have done them," David says.

“It’s not the same!” she screamed. “It’s cheating and I don’t approve one bit! Ack.” She moaned, going into a coughing fit.

Ben rubbed her back, getting the mare to calm down. “Cool it Twi. Don’t need to damage your throat anymore than it is.”

"Lozenge? Jelly baby?" David offers, holding them out in his hand.

“Nah, it’s Twi’s injuries acting up again. She can’t raise her voice very well without going into a coughing fit.”

"There's some medical stuff in the storage room if you need it," David said.

“It’s a permanent wound,” Twilight rasped. “Sorry, Mr. Tennant.”

"Time Lord tech is much higher than yours," David said, "At the very least it can make it less."

Twilight coughed more, each worse than the last. “I’ll… I’ll try anything.”

"I'll bring the medical room to the front," David opened the TARDIS doors and stepped inside.

Ben picked up Twilight in his arms and carried her inside. “...Wow, really is bigger on the inside… I don’t like it.”

"Makes for good storage space. There's a galactic cluster somewhere in the storage," David said, fiddling with some levers and such. "Now, this is imperitent, I need to know what caused the injury so the TARDIS can treat it."

“A changeling slit her throat a few years ago,” Ben told, Twilight unable to speak from her pain.

"That's it? Ah. TARDIS can fix that," David gestured towards a door that had appeared. "Follow me. I'll explain before hand. This machine you'll be put into rewrites DNA and tissue in the specified area. Essentially, as long as one cell remains alive I can heal someone."

“No… don’t….” Twilight wheezed. “Too much… magic…”

"Time Lords were once able to travel between universes. This device factors in magic, leaving it alone," David said.

“No… life… magic…” she rasped again. “Volatile.”

"Trust me," David said, "This device knows. Its AI, so it will stop if the procedure becomes too dangerous."

“Uh, mister Tennant… I’m just saying that I’ve offered healing, as well as others, but Tia always said that was a very bad idea,” Ben said.

"Does Tia know about Time Lords?"

Ben shrugged. “I have no idea.”

"Very well, have Spike message her before we start."

“He’s kinda not here… Cutie Mark Crusaders Dragon Riders. I weep for him.”

"Anyone else able to do it? I can move the TARDIS, but it may delay my departure and I get the feeling you want me to leave as soon as possible," David said.

Ben snapped his fingers, a quill and parchment appearing in mid air and began writing. He snapped again, causing it to disappear in a burst of green fire. “Bingo bango.”

"Knowing that character she'll reply quickly," David said.

“Hello?” a voice called from outside the TARDIS. “Benny? Are you here?”

“In the box, Tia!” Ben called.

There was a pause. “It… it’s just a box. How could you be inside it and I not see you?”

“Because magick!”

“Don’t you dare use that on me!” the voice replied in a warning tone.

David snapped his fingers and the TARDIS doors opened. "Science, actually."

Celestia walked in, noticing Twilight first and rushing over. “Oh my, Twilight,” she cooed. “It’s acting up again, isn’t it?”

The purple pony princess nodded weakly, letting out some rough coughs.

"Celestia," David bowed. "I'm the Doctor."

“Who?” she asked.

"Also called David. I'm a Time Lord. This is my TARDIS," He answered.

“Oh… did you regenerate?” she asked with a turn of her head. “Last you visited, you were fairly old.”

"That may have been a future version of myself or another version, did he say anything about this visit?" David asked.

“Only that it would not be the last we met,” she mused. “But that was about three thousand years ago.”

"He called himself David?"

She shook her head. “No, only the Doctor. That’s why I was confused, as you look nothing like the one I had met.”

"Might have been me, but no, I did not regenerate, this is my first body," David said.

“Very strange. Now, exactly what are you trying to do to my former-student and dear friend?”

"Heal. My TARDIS has medical equipment," David said, "It's incredibly high tech."

“I’m not so sure of that, Mr. Doctor,” Celestia said. “One wrong move and... “ She walked over to David and whispered in his ear. “I already lost her once from that wound, I won’t lose her again.”

"Ben? Would you mind staying with Twilight for a moment?" David asked, "I'm going to speak with Celestia in private."

Ben shrugged and moved off with Twilight a little further into the ship.

"You haven't told her have you?" David asked.

“She very much knows that she is immortal, Doctor,” Celestia replied. “But that wound still has the possibility of taking her away from me.”

"Not that she's immortal. That wound, it'll paralyze her for a very long time won't it? A living death."

Celestia looked away. “I’ve been trying to push it off as long as possible. I couldn’t tell her that I saved her only for her to become a vegetable later in life. This is why I rarely rely on dark magic, there’s always a price. But I can’t lose her, not again. Twilight has far too much to live for, especially now.”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K7VmOZ4Ppj8

David placed his hands on her shoulders. "I'm no longer a normal man, I'm the Doctor, the traveler of spacetime. If I say I can help, I can. Not all prices should paid. I may be a warrior on some worlds, but just this once, I am the Doctor and no one is going to die or be lost."

David clenches a fist, "Celestia I swear, as the Doctor, I will do all I can to let you keep Twilight beside you. I've seen worlds where you fell due to dark feelings. Never will I allow it if I can stop it. Princess or not, a person is always in need of their strength, and yours is those you care about. If saving her means I'll die, so be it, I always win. This is no different."

Celestia took in a big breath and let it out slowly. “Alright. I shall allow you to try, Doctor. But,” she got right in his face with a dark look. “Should you fail, it will be you who will explain to her children why they no longer have a mother.”

"I will not fail, you can be sure of that," David said, "I will always succeed."

“That’s not what you’ve said before,” she muttered under her breath.

"I'm a new man, Tia," he said, smiling.

She deadpanned. “Benny may call me ‘Tia’. Twilight may call me ‘Tia’ (if I can ever get her to do it). You, however, may not. Either ‘Princess’ or ‘Celestia’ will do, Doctor.”

"Before I start, one question. Have I ever failed you?" David walked out of the room.

“...mistakes were made, Doctor. That is all we both agreed to ever speak of.”

"Twilight, during this procedure you will be unconscious. Ben, I'll need you and Celestia outside. Dependent on the extent of the injury, I should be done between ten minutes and an hour," David said, attaching the proper equipment to Twilight. "Any questions?"

Twilight telekinetically lifted up a quill and paper, unable to speak any more from the pain and coughing. She quickly scribbled a few things down and passed it to Ben.

“Uh… well, first off she’s wondering if there will be an anesthetic,” he read off.

"The parts of her brain that stimulate pain and any conscious thought will not be active. There will be no pain afterwards either," David said, looking at Twilight. "That work?"

Twilight shrugged before nodding. “Alright, second is.. oh, that’s a note for me.” Ben looked at her. “Sure, I’ll keep them safe,” he said, brushing her hair a little, getting a sad smile in return. “And lastly… she wants Celestia here with her. She won’t budge on that.”

"I'm afraid that the equipment is sensitive but," David hesitated, "the viewing room is right in front of you. It'll be open for the process. Is that alright?"

Celestia nuzzled against Twilight. “If Twilight needs me for support, then I shall stay.”

"You cannot be in the room but I can make it seem like you are," David said, "the viewing is a holographic projector. To her, you'll be right beside her."

Celestia looked to Twilight, who slowly nodded. The solar princess sighed. “Alright Doctor.”

"No other questions?" David looked at those in the room. They all shook their heads. "Then, allons-y."

David wiped away a droplet of sweat and turned off the equipment. "I'm finished. She's better now. The magic can't-" a blast of dark magic flew from Twilight who gasped. Meanwhile David was thrown into the wall.

"Oh, that's pleasant. One heart stopped. Ack. I need a shock. Oh, geez," David gasped.

"Doctor!" Celestia's hologram exclaimed.

"Yeesh. Couldn't have warned me about that bit?" David groaned.

"It's dark magic, Doctor. It's unpredictable."

"Ok. Now could someone help me?" David asked.

“Oh, right!” Tia claimed, turning off the hologram and rushing into the room. “I’m coming, Doctor!”

“Story of my bloody life,” David sighed. Celestia ran into the room, quickly looking for the Doctor.

“Doctor? Doctor?! Where are you?”

"Over here," David's voice came from the other side of the room. Celestia rushed over with a healing spell already powered up.

“Just a moment, Doctor. I’ll get you healed.” She lowered her horn down to David’s chest, firing a quick bolt of magic.

David flinched, "Oh, that's great," he said as his second, still beating, heart stopped and started again. "You're univascular species, I'm a diovascular species! That spell could kill me!"

“Oh my! I am so sorry, Doctor. Um… would a defibrillator spell be more beneficial?”

"Yes, " David said. Celestia fired a different spell, this one sending surges of electricity through the Time Lord’s body.

“Better that time?”

David took a deep breathe, "Yes. My second heart has begun beating again. How do you even cope with only one heart?"

“I’m not sure I have a physical heart, Doctor. Alicorns are living magic in this universe. It’s the reason Benny can’t scan us into his Omnitrix either.”

David paled, "Living magic? I really shouldn't have brought anyone in here then."

“Doctor, what do you mean?” Celestia did not like what she was hearing now.

"There's a reason the dark magic pulsed, " David said, "I was digging through the history of Gallifrey when I discovered the Time Lords took all magic from their worlds. My TARDIS must be activating a programme like that inside itself to keep out magical corruption. Basically, you and possibly Twilight need to get out of here."

“But her operation!”

"I've already finished, " David looked over to Ben. "Get them out of here. I'll take care of the programme." Ben saluted, snapping his fingers which teleported the three of them out of the TARDIS, leaving David to his work.

Meanwhile, David rushed into the TARDIS control room and began to blast through the programme's firewalls eventually deleting it only for it to be restored by a secondary programme.

"You wanna tango, universe? Bring it on!" David yelled, his fingers typing away on the controls. As fast as the programme was, it was no match for David who walked out upon finishing. "So, anyone still up for that play?”

“Didn’t you say it was in the box?” Ben asked. “The box that can’t take magical beings within for very long?”

“Yes. I took care of that though,” David gestured to the small sign on the door. Magic Now Allowed.

“Where did the sign come from?” Skurd asked, his face contorting to look as if his brow was raised.

“I can make small edits to the outside appearance of the TARDIS,” David said, “It’s stuck as a police box though.”

“Must all you humans and humanoids be so odd? I mean, really. It gets old after a while.”

“For me, it comes with being a Time Lord,” David shrugged.

“Would it be possible for you to simply leave us a copy, Doctor?” Celestia asked, looking at the tired alicorn on her back. “I think Twilight should be put to bed and I have Court to return to. And Benny here has more paperwork to sort through.”

“I hate legal battles,” Ben goaned.

“I can’t leave yet. The damn magic eating program distracted the systems,” David muttered. “What sort of legal battle?”

“I’m being sued,” he sighed, looking over to the piles of paper work. “By everyone.”

“...Please tell me you’re kidding,” David gaped.

“Nope. The Canterlot nobility are suing me for everything I have for all the damages that have happened in Equestria from five thousand years ago to present day. And they have the support of the nation on their side.”

“I may be able to stop some of them and some of the nation,” David grinned, “It involves an illusion, you, me, and a whole lot of lecturing.”

“Uh, Doctor, not to put a hampering on your plan, but it’s not going to be easy to absolve the being who’s been Equestria’s most wanted numbers one through ten for five thousand years. Not too mention the fear monsters, the aliens, and the recent invasion.”

“I think I could lecture them out of it. Just send one of them into the TARDIS or something,” David waved a hand.

“Uh, Mr. Tennant,” Ben interrupted. “How would we do that? The nobles don’t trust any of us now, especially not the princesses. And I’m not going to kidnap anyone. I have enough problems, so it might be better if I just let the system work it’s magick.”

David shrugged, “I wasn’t suggesting kidnap. I suppose… I can try making a miniature chameleon circuit and pretend to be a foreign noble THEN lecture them in private.”

“Lecture them on what, exactly?” Skurd questioned. “If this was false, then we wouldn’t be having this much trouble in the first place. The problem is that all the accusations are true and we have to ‘prove’ otherwise.”

“I see it more as them being illogical. Ben has been protecting them, right?” David asked.

“Uh...sometimes?” Ben answered sheepishly.

“Regardless, you attempted it at some point,” David said.

“Ehehehe...not really. I’m not really a protector… more of a politician, myself.”

“Meh. I can still get some of them to retract it,” David waved his hand.

“How?” the three asked.

“Provide logic, evidence of what Ben will do in the future and thoroughly destroy their argument,” David said.

“What kind of logic?” Skurd asked, skeptically. “The logic is that Ben is the reason the bad things happened. How else can you explain it?”

“Putting a spin on things is fairly easy,” David grinned.

“Doctor, please tell me you’ve thought this out,” Celestia begged. “The last time you tried politics did not end very well.”

“Of course I’ve thought it out Celes,” David rolled his eyes.

“Are you certain? The last time you said that, I was nearly forced into an arranged marriage with the minotaurs’ leader.”

“That’s in the past,” David said, “and I’m different.”

“Your cockiness is still the same,” she teased.

“That, dear princess, shall never change,” David grinned.

“How in the world did you do all this?” Twilight gasped as she read the morning paper. “Ben’s popularity polls are skyrocketing. How is this possible in only two days?!”

“Politics, my dear purple, are a medieval science,” David grinned, “the groundwork was there and I merely finished the building.”

Indeed only two days had passed since David had arrived on Ben’s Equestria. And within only those few days, he had successfully switched a quarter of Ben’s agitators to being supporters. It was a feat the freshly recovered Twilight had a lot of trouble wrapping her head around.

“I’m lavender,” she corrected softly. Since her operation, Twilight was much calmer and not as irritable as of late. Though, it did not lessen her reactions to the seemingly impossible. “This… this may just be the thing we need to turn the tide in this trial.”

David smiled, rubbing the alicorn’s head, “I know.”

“It’s rude to be smug, uncle Tennant,” Nyx said softly. Unfortunately for Twilight’s sanity, Nyx and Scootaloo had gotten into the habit of calling David ‘uncle’ very early on. It was beginning to get on Ben’s nerves as well, but only slightly.

“Who said I was being smug, little one?” David grinned, “I knew I could. The TARDIS’ predictions are never wrong.”

“I know a couple of Time Lords that would say otherwise,” Ben snarked as he took a bite of bread.

“Fair enough. I took advantage of getting a Time Lord brain and updated them. The navigation system is… It looks like it was purposely disabled,” David grimaced.

“More fun that way.”

“Sometimes.”

“At least that’s what the Doctor I met says,” Ben shrugged. “He knows it’s broken… just can’t fix it, so they just go on having adventures.”

"Mhm."

Twilight sighed. “Well, whatever he did, it worked and maybe now we’ll have a little better leeway in fighting the courts. It won’t be much, but every little bit helps.”

“Good to know,” David said, smiling.

“Well, as much fun as this has been,” Ben started, “Shouldn’t you be on your way, Mr. Tennant?” He shoved a piece of pancake into his mouth. “I’m sure you have other places to be.”

David nodded, “Usually. Before I go, I believe Twilight wanted to see an Earth play or two?” David watched as Ben shrugged, “Don’t worry, I’m just providing her a way to watch them,” David pulled out a small TV, about eight inches by five inches. “This has any and all Earth forms of entertainment.”

Twilight poked the TV with a frown. “A little small isn’t it? I haven’t seen one this small since I was a filly. Didn’t even know they still made ones this small.”

David gave her a mischievous grin, “Quick to judge are we?” He pressed a button in the back and the device expanded to about three feet tall and eight feet wide. “Its got multiple functions like that. Also, its touch screen, voice activated, and has a rockin’ stereo.” The sudden size expansion forced several at the table to duck, trying not to get hit by the massive screen.

“Oi! Watch it! Tryin’ ta eat here!” Ben shouted from under the table.

“UEC, Mini size please,” David said, and the device shrunk to its previous size. “It can project the video and it is very portable. Just, don’t system reset it, okay? You’ll wipe around 50 terabytes of information from it.”

“Oooh~,” Twilight said in awe, cradling the new device. “I’ll call it ‘Uie’!”

“Mommy, you’re being weird again.”

“I know, Nyx. Just let mommy be weird for a few moments.”

David laughed, “Well, there’s that done. Unless there’s anything else, I’ll head off.”

“Yeah, that’d probably be best. Don’t want Kat coming home to find you here after all,” Ben laughed.

David raised an eyebrow, “So, why exactly would that be bad?”

“Kat’s still having issues with being a time lord, so it would just be better that another wasn’t within the vicinity. You’ll probably end up on a metal table in Twilight’s lab.”

“Shush!” Twilight hissed. “That’s my lab. Kat can use her own.”

David winced, “Give her this,” he pulled out a laptop. “It's always connected to the TARDIS and can access the data storage. That aside, she can video call anyone in the TARDIS. Which, of course, I can do the same for, and have, the UEC. I’ll really just act as Tech Support. Ben, you can use either one of those. I’d do the same for your watch but I figure you’d rather not have anyone randomly calling you.”

“Yeah, that’d get weird.” Ben took the computer and placed it off to the side on the table. “Now, you’d better scram before the higher ups,” he pointed up, “Start taking notice of you here.”

David’s eye widened, “So, this is one of THOSE universes. Anyway,” he snapped his fingers and started inside of the TARDIS, “Feel free to call.”

Ben gave a two fingered salute. “Don’t count on it. Just keep on keepin’ on, Doc.”

The TARDIS doors shut and a hum and groan were heard before it began to dematerialize. Once it was gone, the two ponies and human resumed finishing breakfast.

After a moment, Nyx spoke up, “Soooo… can I play with Uie?”

Ponyville (Ekko)

[A few weeks after David's encounter with Ben]

As the Afternoon sun was continuing to burn down on the town of Ponyville, Ekko took his time to look around the surrounding area before deciding to go help Spike run an errand at the nearby flea market. It might have been short and simple for having to buy some hardcover books, but the looks he got from the surrounding ponies were just off setting for him. The only kind of looks that were like that when he had seen them before were from the kids that he met in Zaun that he made friends with and protected them from the criminal scum that polluted the streets. The looks of fear, confusion, worry. He was familiar with them.

“Ekko? You alright?”

Ekko snapped out of his thinking when he turned to see Spike. Who was holding some of the books on his own. “Oh yeah, just got a bit… distracted. Let me help you with that.”

“Sure thing.” The baby dragon replied as he handed some of the books to him. Before going anywhere else though, Spike had to check the list that Twilight had given him. “I’m not completely sure why she needs all of these though.”

“All of what?”

“The science of Chrono magic by Professor Clock Hand, volumes 1-4,” Spike read from the piece of paper. “Do you think she might be going a bit crazy after that time thingy that you showed her earlier today?”

“Personally, I think she just wants a better understanding of it. Trust me, I’ve seen crazy,” He told the dragon. “Ever had a girl in your life that you liked? Like a crush?”

“Once. Why?”

“Think of that, but then her going full blown crazy to where she starts talking to her weapons like they’re actual people. Not to mention that destruction is what she sees as fun.”

“What was her name?”

“Jinx,” The boy replied. “Now though, a lot of people just see her as the “loose cannon” and I agree with them on that.” The two of them soon walked through the door, only to find a stallion in a tie talking to Twilight in the guest room. They seemed to be talking something important, given the fact that there was still a full pot of tea, biscuits, and there seemed to be quite a lot of tea drinking between the two of them.

“Maybe we should just leave them be.”

“Good idea,” Spike replied. “Still though, I wonder why Time Turner would be here.”

“Who?”

“The Stallion. His name is Time Turner. But he’s sometimes referred to by others as “The Doctor”. Not quite sure why they call him that for being a clockmaker.” Spike told him as they made their way up the staircase and took a left. Spike decided to leave the books in Twilight’s personal study while he began to catch up on something he was reading. As Ekko turned around and closed the door though, somepony was waiting for him…… and they didn’t look happy.

“Oh… Hi there, Rainbow-.” Ekko’s brief reply was cut off when Rainbow grabbed him by the scarf and brought him down to her level.

“We need to talk. Now.”

“Talk? About what?”

“The walk you went on. I saw you go into the Everfree Forest and meet your friend that lives in the river.” When Ekko heard her say that, he released himself from the pegasus’ grip, telling her to follow him into another room.

“It seems like you have some questions for me.”

“Just two,” Rainbow snorted. “One, who the hay is he? and Two, why the hay were you talking to him? That creature looks like he can eat up the entire town. I wanna knock it out of the river and beat him to a-.”

“Trust me, don’t do that.” Ekko told her. “Never mess with Tahm Kench.”

“Tom? Are you talking that one rock-?”

“No, that’s his name. Tahm Kench. Remember earlier when I told you that I was a champion in the League of Legends? And the urban legend Spike was on earlier today?”

“Briefly,” Rainbow grunted. “Why?”

“That’s the thing. He’s a champion as well. He and I are both from the League, but the thing is, he calls the river his home.”

“What does this have to do with the legend though-?” Rainbow tried to interrupt. Being very impatient and really wanting Ekko to get to the point that he was trying to make.

“He is known as Tahm Kench; The River king.”

Those words from Ekko caused Rainbow’s eyes to widen. A lot. “Seriously? He’s the River King?”

“Yes… There are a LOT of stories about him and none of them are happy endings.” The boy sighed. “Making a deal with him is the last thing you want to do.”

Rainbow was not lost in thought. Ekko. Tahm Kench. This “league” he keeps mentioning. How in Celestia’s name does this all add up? She asked him about it a few moments later and Ekko explained everything he knew. The genius from Zaun simplified things by explaining that how the League of Legends worked was like a court. Two sides take Legal disputes into the fields of justices so they wouldn’t harm the fragile world that was Runeterra. Also, to take things further, Ekko used the pieces of a nearby chess set and some maps that he kept with him on the fields of justice to explain to Rainbow how it worked. Besides, it was easier to show with a visual demonstration than just explaining it.

But the one thing that continued to linger on his mind was the idea of other individuals that got “Displaced” as Tahm had said earlier. If only he had some sort of guide to explain everything to him. Someone that can show him the ropes. Zilean did that for him in explaining the League, but the Chronokeeper wasn’t here to help Ekko now.

He needed someone elses help.

The Tardis

"That is the last time I try to help a floundering nation," The Doctor, or David as he was known by his friends, grumbled flipping switching and such as the TARDIS dematerialized.

His eye was caught by the book on panel, the enchanted tome on Displaced, and he checked the page. "Well, who said coincidences don't happen. Might as well. Says he needs a guide so I'm off!"

David input the coordinates and the TARDIS flew off through the Void, leaving a rather confused group of officials behind as well as a giant flounder with a city on its head.

"Sir?" asked the youngest official, "Who or what was that?"

The stallion next to him shook his head, "I have no idea."

Back to Ekko

As the day progressed, Ekko used the chance to try to kick back and rest. However, it wasn’t all that easy for him. Especially with, all things considered, a strange noise coming from a nearby alleyway. He looked down from up top on the castle to now see a blue box form in the alleyway. He remembered seeing some of these in Piltover and began to wonder what one of them would be doing here. Curiosity got the better of him as he picked up his guile and leaped from the window of the castle onto the nearby rooftop. Afterwards, it was a matter of getting in the alley.

“Well well… what do we have here?” He asked himself, hiding behind a dumpster.

He watched as a man walked out of the box and locked it before he pointed a strange device around, which whirred. The man slapped it on his hand. "Bloody magic... Let me just- Ah ha!" The man held it up. He looked at it a moment, squinting before calling out. "You can come out! I'm nice enough."

Ekko, for one, was surprised. First off, this person coming out of the box. Second, that he knew where he was. Cautiously, he rose from the ground, being cautious about this new human figure that had emerged. “Who are you?” he asked, holding onto his guile and the chain to his Z-drive for if he needed to rewind at any point in this upcoming talk. Besides, neither one of the two expected to be talking to another human right now… Well, Ekko at least.

"Don't bother with your time device. I'm a Time Lord. Name's The Doctor," he held out a hand.

“How do you know about my Z-drive being a time device?” Ekko asked, still surprised by what this “Doctor” was saying. Then, something clicked in his head after remembering what Spike said earlier. “And aren’t you suppose to be a Stallion?”

“Ah! No, you’re thinking of this world’s version of me. As for your, Z-drive is it? Its in here,” The Doctor held up a large book. “Has any info I need on Displaced and more. Here,” The Doctor tapped the book which duplicated, and tossed the copy to Ekko. “It’ll tell you anything about them, although mine is slightly more detailed thanks to the TARDIS.”

“The TAR-what?” Ekko asked in confusion. “I’m sorry, but I’m still a bit confused by what exactly you mean by “Displaced” and everything like that… Doctor… who?”

“TARDIS. Time and Relative Dimension In Space. That’s this blue box. Isn’t she beautiful? As for ‘Displaced’, they are dimensionally misplaced. Brought to Equestria from their home universe. Actually, just, The Doctor,” The Doctor said.

“Yeah… I might need some time to try and understand everything,” Ekko told him. “Is it alright if you and I could talk… well, in private. I don’t think you want the stallion you to see yourself.”

“I think he could handle it, if we play our cards right. He is a Time Lord after all. Lead on Ekko!” The Doctor grinned.

“O...kay, where to? I may be leading, but aren’t you like a guest? This is my world after all.”

“Then…” The Doctor seemed to ponder a second, “Yes! Shall we go see the Diarches, or Princesses?”

“Okay, that’s in Canterlot. You are in Ponyville.” The boy reminded him. “Would Princess Twilight work-. Oh wait, he’s meeting the Stallion you-.”

“Ekko? Are you-.” Before he could say anything else, Ekko turned around, only to be looking at Twilight and the stallion she was talking with earlier. “-there…”

“Well… this is awkward.”

The Doctor held out his hand for the pony him to shake, “Well, to solve confusion, call me David. That’s who I was before I came to my Equestria. David Tennant. And this is Princess Twilight? Why am I not surprised?” David’s eye twinkled mischievously.

“Umm… Hi?” Was Twilight’s only response. She seemed to be quite nervous. Possibly because she was intimidated by the personality of the Doctor.

The Doctor smiled, “A little confused huh? No worries, I seem to do that a lot,” he laughed. Time Turner himself just decided to excuse himself as he walked back to his home as Ekko sighed.

“We might be better off talking about this inside that blue box of yours. The TARDIS right?” When Ekko saw the Doctor nod his head, he turned to Twilight. She was still shocked by the most recent events and was also looking very nervous like her friend, Fluttershy. “Are you coming Twilight?”

“Umm…… I need an adult?”

"I am an adult, as are these two, right?" The Doctor said, "By the way, The Master in my world and I are actually friends, and I think he's in the TARDIS, so no over reacting," he told Twilight. "Jack, a Dalek, and a Cyberwoman may be in there two. All friendly, of course."

“We’ll be fine Twili-. Wait… Cyberwoman? What the F-?”

“Hm?” The Doctor looked at Ekko with a confused look on his face.

“I’m sorry, but I’ve heard you say too many things in the past few minutes and some things I can’t even comprehend. Maybe it’ll be best if we see it for ourselves.” Ekko replied back, gesturing towards him and Twilight.

“Ah, very well. Allons-y,” the Doctor opened the door to the TARDIS. Ekko, being mannerly, let Twilight in first followed by the Doctor. What he saw inside was… stunning to say the least.

“Holy crap… Where are we?”

“What do you mean?” the Doctor asked.

“I mean, like we just entered the TARDIS right? I thought it would be… smaller.”

“So it is?” The Doctor motioned him to go on. Ekko continued to move on inside until he got to the main control hub of the TARDIS itself. He was fascinated by everything that he was seeing. The three of them soon got to a table on the right hand side and sat down.

“I think maybe we should clear some things up. Like what these Displaced are exactly.”

The Doctor nodded, “That’s simple enough. Think of it like this. The Multiverse, our multiverse, has thousands of singular universes, anything that has been thought of in it, exists in it. Now, there are many Earths and many Equestrias. At one point in the Void, the chaos or place that separates these universes, Void-Dwellers came around and one, named The Merchant, started giving people from Earth powers and sending them to Equestria. These were the Displaced. While he has created a majority of the Displaced, there are other examples. Essence, Aaron, and in some cases, Discord. Any questions?”

Ekko raised his hand. “Is this Void somehow different from the one I’m familiar with? I have to face creatures from the void sometimes when I go into the fields of Justice.” To demonstrate, Ekko pulled out his book to show an image of one of these creatures. Vel’Koz was his name and he was known as the “Eye of the Void” by the league.

“He looks terrifying.” Twilight stated, looking at the image.

“Not as terrifying as some of the other champions I was forced to pair up with. Don’t even get me started on Cho’Gath.”

“Who?” The Alicorn asked.

“This ugly mug.” The boy pointed out, an image of the monster he sketched one time when he was called to Summoner’s Rift. The sight of the creature had caused Twilight to gulp and her eyes to widen.

“I do believe we were getting off topic though,” Ekko continued. “As you were saying, Doctor?” The boy gestured for the time lord to continue, repositioning himself in his seat.

The Doctor waved his hand dismissively, stood up, and tapped at the keys on the console.

“This is the Void I speak of,” he said, bringing up a giant map type picture.

“Whoa. That’s quite… massive.”

“That’s only a billionth of a percent of the entire Omniverse,” The Doctor said.

“A B-billionth!?” Twilight stammered. “Dear Celestia, that’s a LOT!”

“You tell me.” Ekko replied. Then, he remembered something. “Hey, Doctor. You mentioned a being named the Merchant right? Does it have an exact appearance?”

“Sometimes. In my case, he was an old man,” The Doctor said.

“Well, I think for me, the vendor that I met at the field of justice was the Merchant in another form. He gave me the crest of my city as a token of his appreciation. Moments later, when our match for the league was done, the token reacted to me being recalled back home and then I woke up in that place called Canterlot.” Ekko remembered everything from before. Strangely for him, he woke up to only finding his Z-drive, Guile, and that crest. His bag was gone and with it, the equipment and gold he had from his last battle. His personal theory was that either it returned to the league or somehow, they got scattered out across Equestria. Just another thing to get too later. “Anyways, now that we understand a little more about the situation, what brings you to our end of the omniverse, Doctor?”

The Doctor waved a large book, “This. I’ll tell you how I got it, actually. So, I was in the TARDIS, getting ready to travel to Canterlot and as soon as the TARDIS took off I was interrupted by a woman with cat ears and a tail. She tossed me this and disappeared. She just left a page bookmarked. This page,” he showed them a page for someone called Essence. “It says here that she’s a Meta level Void Dweller, which I assume means she’s something like a goddess, or something like the Abyss from greek mythology.” The Doctor finished and the book glowed for a second before another copy appeared on top of it. The Doctor looked at it quizzically before tossing it to Ekko.

“So let me get this straight… The book led you to us?”

“Yes. Actually, more of this ‘Essence’ led me to you,” The Doctor said.

“And is this Essence a thing or a living creature?” Twilight followed up and asked. “Because if so, then maybe there is a reason for you coming here.”

“Meta Level Void Dweller, meaning, from what I can gather, if she got into a fight with your deities, she’d win instantly,” The Doctor said, “It even says her power level. Look,” The Doctor showed them a page with numbers that just kept climbing.

“Do these numbers really mean anything?” Ekko asked. “Because sometimes brains outmatch brawn.” He had several accounts of these when having to take on champions on the Fields of Justice.

“Well, thats her apparent raw power, and her ability to make this book and record these details says she’s not dumb at the least,” The Doctor flipped a page, “This is another Displaced Void Dweller. Look at his power,” These numbers changed here and there, going up and down, but stayed in the same range.

“That’s… interesting,” Twilight commented. “Who would this one happen to be?”

“Don’t know, but this “Essence” keeps reminding me of a mage back home named Ryze. He’s as smart as he is powerful and has inscribed hundreds of tattoo’s on himself as proof.”

“Why would he need Tattoo’s?”

“It’s required for the magic that he’s mastered called Thorn Magic.” Ekko said. “That’s all I know about him honestly.”

“That one is called Aaron. Essence seems to accumulate mass amounts of power every seven seconds.” The Doctor replied, showing Ekko his page in the book. He was quite surprised with him, but still was thinking of Essence when he felt something tickle his nose. Something that felt like… a tail of a cat.

Looking up, Ekko soon realized that someone was above him. But before he could speak, the cat like creature yawned and spoke first. “Ya called Doc?”

“I am to assume that you are Essence?” The boy asked, looking back at the Doctor. Twilight herself was even startled by her.

“That depends,” she rolled over in the air, her head staying where it was and the rest of her body floating upside down, “I am multiple things, to be honest. Multiple titles. The Musician, The Warrior, The Strategist, Madness, and so on so forth.”

“Why so much emphasis on the Madness part?” Ekko asked, the boy being partially confused.

“Its my name and a name of power in the Void. So, basically, it means me and I mean it. Very few have ever earned the right to say they have it. None, actually,” she said. Ekko himself was personally surprised with the way Essence was speaking, getting serious flashbacks of when Master Yi was once lecturing him. Telling him that “A true master is an eternal student” and so on.

“Wait,” Twilight then spoke. “If you say very few, then none. Which one do you actually mean?”

“I betcha she means none. Some champions in the League that I had to fight sometimes speak in riddles.” Ekko told her.

“None. And, you’re Twilight,” she pointed at Twilight, “and this is Ekko, the Boy Who Shattered Time with his Z-drive.”

“I guess news travels fast in the void.” Ekko smirked. “Where did you hear about me from exactly?”

“Heard? No. Knew of beforehand? Yes. I know about every Displaced. I make some. In fact,” her appearance began to change, taking the form of the Piltover Enforcer; Vi. Ekko and her were on even terms as of recently. She was born in Zaun, but pursued her belief in justice in the rival city of Piltover after saving some miners in a mining camp when it was on the verge of collapse.. Just never get yourself caught in her sights. One of her favorite sayings is “Punch first, ask questions while punching”.

The Doctor raised his hand, “I am still here you know.”

Essence smirked, “I know Doc.”

“Hang on, you were Vi?” Ekko asked. “Did you like transform briefly into her or assume her form?”

“Assuming the form of a mortal is easy for me, I also WAS her. I created the life, changed memories, and assumed the form. It was easy to live in that world for only a hundred years or so. That’s not even a blip in my life,” she smirked.

“Wow… That’s quite interesting.” Ekko replied. He soon got up from his seat and adjusted his clothes as he looked back at her. “I never expected her to actually be you. Then again, there have been a lot of things I haven’t expected over the last few days.” He noticed Twilight picking up the copy he had on the Book of Displaced as she trotted over next to him. Thinking about her, he then posed another question.

“Was their anything else you needed to talk about with us before we go?” He then asked, stopping just short of the door out of the TARDIS.

“Nope. Just figured I could pop up. Its how I roll, although,” she began taking off the gauntlets, “here.” She tossed them to Ekko. “If you ever need my help, hit the button that will pop up and you’ll video call me.”

“Thanks-.” Ekko replied before actually catching the gauntlets and almost falling backwards. “By the League, these are heavy!”

“Oh yeah, that…” She snapped her fingers and the gauntlets became extremely light. “There ya go.” The gauntlets themselves were now the size of his hands and were easy to slip on and off.

“Well, that makes things a lot easier.” The boy grinned, flexing his hands a little as he then stuck out his hand for Essence to shake. “It’s been a pleasure to meet you, Essence. You too, Doctor.”

David’s eyes widened, “I’m not leaving yet.”

Essence nodded, “I, however, will see ya later.” She disappeared somewhat in an unravelling fashion. Ekko watched as Essence faded away, refocusing his attention on the Doctor.

“I’m guessing that if I need any help, I come visit you?”

“Well,” he reached over to the console and messed around with a few buttons before a sonic screwdriver dropped into Ekko’s hand from nowhere. “Use that.”

“Will do,” He replied as he stepped out of the TARDIS. Turning to Twilight, he noticed the Sun slowly coming down as they went back towards the castle.

-The TARDIS-

David fiddled with the levers on the console, pulling up random locations. “No, that won’t do...Not that either…” And this went on for several minutes before David finally gave up and sat in the seat nearby.

“I seem to have lost interest in many parts of this universe,” he muttered, looking at the console as, shocking, a portal appeared and dropped something into the telepathic neurotransmitter. You know the one.

“That can’t be good,” David said, only for the hum and groan of the TARDIS to start up as she dematerialized from Golden Oaks and went flying into the Void.

-Golden Oaks-

It was the morning after Leo obtained her digivice from Crux and she was in a good mood. Sure, she was going to have to find the digieggs that scattered around the planet but that wasn't much of a problem, more of an excuse to go explore!, but getting ready to go out the door and figuring out where to go first were. She said something she shouldn’t have. “Nothing could possibly go wrong!” she exclaimed as she stepped out the door. then a note fell in her face.

“DUCK!”

From: Crux

Then Leo heard a familiar noise from a show she had once watched, and with eyes open in shock she hit the dirt! Seconds later, a large blue box flew out of a hole in reality and spun a couple of times before dropping on the ground, and a man quickly ran out, coughing.

“Extractor Fans On!” he yelled, the smoke from the blue box quickly disappearing back inside. “That is the last time I go with the flow when Displaced are involved,” he said, taking a deep breath.

Leo’s eye twitched as she got off the ground and turned to the Doctor. “Hey watch where you fly her! you almost hit me!” screamed Leo, getting ready to hit him with a fireball.

“Oh yes, because I can control what tokens do once they enter the Void, actually… They should get someone on that,” he muttered, before turning to Leo. “Hullo, I’m the Doctor.”

“I know... “ she said dispelling the fireball. “My name is Leo, and just in case you don’t know I think Crux has something to do with this,” she said.

David raised an eyebrow, “You’ve got one of those to deal with too?”

“If you mean overly friendly displacer, then yes. and he gave me a general rundown about how I’m a displaced, what he was and a few other things but I wasn’t fully paying attention…” she replied with a shrug.

“Void Dweller, actually, though I suppose it’s the same thing,” David said.

“Meh, so do you know what I am?” Leo said as she walked towards the Everfree.

“Digimon, Gen 1, right?” He turned around, “One sec,” he ran inside the TARDIS for a moment before returning with her Token, “This yours?” It was covered in a goo-like substance.

“Yes and no. I'm a mutant digimon, first of my kind and where did that goo come from?” was all Leo said before a portal opened and Crux fell out.

“Ouch! Darn it I slipped while making a sandwich… oh hi! Sorry about where Leo’s token ended up Doctor I dropped it when making my sandwich and it landed in the jelly before the portal for it opened… Hehehe…” was all he said.

David glared, “You know how much trouble it’s going to be getting the jelly out of the neurotransmitter?”

“Yeah, and don’t be a bitch,” came a woman’s voice from above David where Essence was floating and playing solitaire. She frowned, “Why does this game always do this…”

“Hello madam, nice to meet you, and Doctor I can’t help coincidence. Well I’ll be off!” he said before disappearing in a mini explosion.

“YOU CALL THAT SHOWING OFF?” Essence yelled, floating away from David, “Watch this.”

“Sorry mam but no using your powers on one of my worlds” came Crux’s voice as Essence was teleported to the ground. “Can’t have something Too powerful spawn as a side effect!” was the last thing Crux said before his presence disappeared.

Essence started mouthing numbers and holding up the numbers of fingers, upon hitting one, Crux exploded into the universe, his eyes spinning. “Do you even know who I am? Trying to mess with my reality/powers like that…”

“Actually I made this dimension from scratch!” Crux shouted before retorting “and whenever strong power appears it throws off the balance! you know how hard it is to keep the balance with all these displaced flying around nowadays!?” throwing his arms in the air.

“I asked if you knew who I was, not for you to throw a tantrum. Besides, I don’t affect anything unless I choose to,” Essence said.

Crux was about to say something when he took a deep breath and calmed himself down. “Sorry but I’ve never met you before. I’m not from this plane of existence, and how did you take over my code?” Crux stated in an inquisitive tone.

“Oh good, you’ve learned to respect your elders. Ever been in the Void?” Essence asked.

“Not really, never had reason to.” Crux replied before pulling a grandfather clock out of his sleeve and checking the time. “Well I have to go maybe we can talk later ta ta!” and he this time disappeared into a puff of plaid confetti.

“Rude much, I didn’t even tell him my name. Maybe he would've acted different.”

“Please forgive him, he is a forgetful idiot but to my knowledge he always puts others before himself.” Leo said to Essence.

“Whatever, tell him my name when you next see him, he’s bound to remember it, all things considered,” Essence reached a hand out to Leo, “It’s Essence.”

“Leo, and I’ll make sure to tell him.” Leo said shaking Essences hand and smiling.

Essence drew back her hand, “I’m also Madness. THAT he should remember no matter what.” And she unraveled herself from reality by her tail, spinning her tail as her body spiraled away, leaving her hand which vanished.

“So, what should we do Doctor?” Leo asked turning back to him. “If you’re not busy with anything could you help me clean up a quick mess?”

David looked inside the TARDIS, flashes of electricity arcing through the room, “Yeah. I’ve got time.”

Leo pulled out her digivice and activated the locater. “Alright time to find those eggs before something not so friendly does…” she said walking towards the everfree.

David shrugged before following behind her.

-in a dark cave on the other side of Equestria-

Quetsicotle was plotting his next scheme when four digieggs fell from the sky hitting him in the head. “What the!?” he exclaimed looking at the objects that just hit him in the head. ‘What the heck are these!?’ he thought as he picked up the eggs. out of curiosity he decided to rub them, as he rubbed the digieggs they began to glow and then hatched. as he stared at the strange creatures that were now in his hand an evil plot began to form in his mind. ‘I don't know what these are but i might just have a use for them…’ he thought with an evil laugh.

-Somewhere in the Everfree forest...-

“So, how much do you know about digimon?” Leo asked as they arrived next to a river before looking around and spotting the egg that the digivice located on a pile of rocks in the middle of the water.

“Not much,” David shrugged.

“Well, would you like a rundown on the basics?” Leo asked while trying to find a long piece of vine to anchor herself to a tree so the current doesn’t sweep her away as she got the egg.

David nodded, “Sure, but can you pass me your little device there, I have an idea.”

Leo smirks, “I can do you one better, here!” Leo takes out her digivice and materializes out another from a beam of light emitted from it. Leo then tossed the new digivice at David. “and this should be able to replace the one that got covered in jelly.” she said.

David nodded, before opening the device and moving the wires and other bits inside of the device before closing it up and pointing it at the digiegg, causing it to lift up and fly into his hand. He tossed the digiegg to Leo, “There you are.”

Leo whistled, “Dang didn't know you could do that! I mean the digivices can evolve but I didn’t know you could customize them!” she said before analyzing the egg. “Hm, seems to be a machine type, glad we found it before it hatched.” she said before scanning it into her digivice.

“Bit of a Time Lord upgrade,” David said.

Leo then got an idea, “Hey doctor, how about I give you a gift, should prove useful in the future.” she said before taking out her digivice and re-materializing the machine egg. “Catch” she said tossing the egg to him. “Try rubbing it.” she said folding her arms while smirking.

‘Alright,” he rubbed the egg a bit. As he did so the egg it began to glow, a few moments later the egg burst open and in his hands was a newly hatched Solarmon.

“Huh a solarmon… quite fitting actually…” Leo said as she walked over and linked David’s digivice with his new partner. The digivice then began to glow and transformed into a Data Link Digivice. “Oh and on a side note you don't have to worry about him dying, he will just turn back into an egg!” Leo stated, admiring the irony of a timelord becoming a digidestined.

“He turns into a clock, doesn’t he?” David asked, immediately realizing what her look meant.

“How'd you guess?” she said, her voice dripping with sarcasm.

“Magic?” David shrugged, the Solarmon floated up next to David’s head.

“Don't even try the magic excuse on me, my body is made up of 75% magic!” Leo deadpanned before locating another egg with her digivice.

“I’m a Time Lord,” David said, “Human turned Time Lord at that. Though, I suppose, the real David Tennant becoming the Doctor isn’t too far-fetched, is it?”

“Not realy. I mean, I’m a human that has been turned into a digimon and had a gender assigned to it that is the opposite of what it was when I was human…” she said with a look on her face saying that she was resigned to her fate.

“I’ve heard of gender swaps happening in Displaced. Seems pretty common,” David said.

“In truth the only problem I'm having with it are the fact that digimon aren't supposed to have genders, and the impending ‘monthlies’...” she said while shuddering.

“Why? Can’t Crux do something about that?” David asked.

“Its his fault in the first place…” she deadpanned.

David raised an eyebrow, “Purposeful?”

“From what I can tell, most likely.” she said while making a pouty face.

David reached his hand down, patting her on the head gently.

Leo’s face turned bright pink, a mixture of horror and embarrassment at what was happening. Quickly stepping away she composed herself and turned to the time lord. “Ok, Back to work…” she said while heading for the castle of the royal pony sisters.

David shrugged, “Onwards then.”

-The Castle of the Royal Pony Sisters-

“Ok, Doctor you check the Basement and I’ll check what remains of the towers and upstairs” Leo said before entering the remains of the castle.

“Allons-y!” David said before heading towards the stairs.

David opened the large wooden door leading into the basement, only to walk into a Weeping Angel, “That’s lovely…” He started to back up, seeing several more across the room. He blinked and flinched backwards, “LEO! WE’VE GOT A PROBLEM!”

-A Few Moments Later-

“So do you remember how to deal with these fellas?” Leo asked staring at the stone angels, after all the only outcome a digimon would get from being touched by one could only be guessed and she didn't plan on being a guinea pig.

“Yes, for now, don’t blink but don’t stare at them for too long, we’ll take turns,” David said, “Make your way out the door, we need to get to the TARDIS.”

“Just go get her! Digimon don't need to blink, and our eyes aren't reflective so one isn't going to spawn in my head!” she shouted to the doctor and hoping he could get the TARDIS before the sunlight in the room disappeared.

“You got it,” David said, sliding out the door and making a run for it, diving inside as the door closed, “If I can figure out where they came from, I should be able to poison the well and get rid of them. But I’ll need a paradox.”

“Someone say paradox?” came a voice from behind David.

“Yes,” David said, not even bothering to turn around, “What’ve got Crux?”

“Yeah, what’ve you got?” Another voice said.

“Well… I have a pocket sized paradox I always keep with me in case of emergencies.” he said while pulling out a ring with a rip in spacetime floating in the center. He then turned to the third person in the room. “So you came back here why?” he asked innocently.

“I tend to drift wherever,” Essence shrugged.

“Okay… well here ya go Doc that should help you out of your predicament and any future ones you might stick yourself in.” Crux said tossing the pocket paradox to the Doctor before disappearing into a crack in space time.

“Well, that’ll do,” David said, activating the console, and the TARDIS materialized around Leo.

“I see you finally arrived. so what's the plan?” Leo asked when she took notice that the TARDIS had materialized around her. “Although materializing the TARDIS around me probably wasn't a good idea...” she said, and a few moments later the TARDIS began to rock tossing Leo and David back and forth.

“I had just adjusted it for magic,” David sighed, “Let me work on this again…” David began messing with the console and the TARDIS stopped rocking.

“What now?” Leo asked delirious from being thrown across the room multiple times.

“Now, we cause a paradox,” David said.

“Well, this is going to be interesting…” Leo said trying to regain her balance on one of the nearby rails.

David grinned, “Allons-y!” The TARDIS dematerialized.

-The TARDIS-

David began messing with some of the controls, plotting their destination, the origins of the angels.

“Why am I starting to have a sense of deja vu!?” Leo screamed as she started to fly from one wall of the TARDIS to another and back again in a repeating loop.

“Stabilizers keep getting thrown off,” David yelled, hanging onto the console and slamming down some buttons. “Come on, old girl!” The TARDIS stabilized, dropping David and Leo to the floor with a thud.

“Finally… it's over... “ Leo said before running out the doors of the TARDIS and proceeding to throw up. “I still don't know how it's possible for a digimon to vomit!” she shouted when she finished vomiting.

“Well,” David said, peeling himself off the ground, “it’s probably magic, as usual.”

“Um… we may have a problem!” Leo shouted from outside the TARDIS, she then ran inside and slammed the doors behind her. “We're on Earth!” she said.

David peered outside, “Where on Earth?”

“My old hometown, where I lived before Crux brought me to equestria!” Leo responded practically hyperventilating. “The question is when!?” she screamed beginning to rummage around the tardis in hopes of finding a cloak. “Disguise, I need a disguise. I don't want to become a lab rat!” she said before finding and pulling out a large grey rain coat.

“One second,” David began messing with the console and swung the monitor in front of him, “The year is… 1999.”

“Great! we’re at the time where I was Dropped off at the orphanage…” Leo said with a bitter tone. “Let's find that portal and get out of here…” she said while buttoning up the rain coat and pulling the hood over her head.

“Allons-y,” David opened the door, holding it for Leo.

Leo rolled her eyes at the doctor and walked into the alleyway that the TARDIS had landed in. “So which way?” she said approaching the end of the alley.

David reached into his pocket and pulled out a small device, pointing it both ways before gesturing left. “That way.”

The two walked down the street in the direction that the device was pointing in and the closer they got the more nervous Leo became. “Are you sure this is the right direction?” she said with fear in her voice.

“Yes,” David said, looking at Leo with a bit of curiosity.

“Why did it have to be here!? WHY!?” Leo whispered looking at a certain building down the street.

“They probably chose you because you have a link to Equestria,” David said, peering up at the building for a second before pointing the sonic behind himself. “Well, well…” He turned around, the angel behind him frozen, “So, what’s your plan for my friend? Send her back in time? Feed off her potential, because let me tell you. I’m the Doctor, and I have a TARDIS.”

While David was looking at the angel Leo noticed something that they had nearly missed. She was stunned, running away from them was what looked like Crux but much younger than the one she knew and in his arms was a baby. then she heard something that sent a chill down her spine.

“Don't cry Leo I'll make sure they can't get you, I won't let you be used as food!” the much younger Crux yelled from down the road before going into the orphanage that Leo had been watching warily just moments before.

“Doctor? I think we just saved my past self from becoming angel food....” Leo said in complete shock from what she had just discovered.

“Well, that’s not much of a paradox,” David shrugged, “However, we still need to poison the well.”

Leo noded and turned to face the angel that David was staring at. “So what now?” She asked while staring at the angel with a dazed expression.

“Into the orphanage, of course,” David said.

When David said the word ‘Orphanage’ a chill went down Leo’s spine but she shrugged it off and got ready to go in that direction with him until a thought occurred to her. “Wait, what will we do about this one?” she asked.

“Its stuck for now,” David said.

“How? Wait let me guess, something to do with the sonic screwdriver?” she said before turning around to face the orphanage.

“Yup, it thinks its being seen,” David answered, already walking off.

Hurrying to catch up Leo sprinted towards the orphanage that she had spent the majority of her life in before waiting in front of the door for David and led him into the orphanage waiting room, where they saw crux in the corner with Leo as a baby in his arms.

“So do we find out why Crux has a baby version of me in his arms first or just ‘poison the well’ and hope we figure out this mystery eventually?” Leo asked David with a bit of concern in her voice towards the recent events.

“Likely, we’ll figure it out as it goes,” David said, making his way towards the stairs

Not knowing what to do first Leo looked back and forth between David and Crux multiple time before following David to the stairs. “Fine, but I really want to know what connection I have to him and why he would be dropping my past self off at an orphanage!” Leo said sending a last glance in Crux’s direction which did not go unnoticed.

“Yeah, yeah,” David muttered heading up the stairs.

As they reached the top of the stairs they began to hear whispering, “You think they captured the child of light yet?” a voice said. “No but when they do we’ll know!” said another.

“Did you hear that?” Leo whispered to David, “Sounds like there is someone in charge of or controlling the angels!”

“That’s odd, usually the angels are going for food,” David muttered.

“I have the strange feeling I recognize those voices too…” Leo said getting ready to sneak closer to the voices to find out what was going on.

David motioned her to ‘Go for it’.

Leo crawled across the hall until she was directly under the window of the room that the voices were coming from. then she peeked over the edge to see who was in the room and what she saw made her blood run cold. “This just reached a whole new level of bad…” she said before sinking to the ground and curling up into a ball.

David raised an eyebrow before looking in himself, inside he saw a man made of shadow and The Merchant!? David began muttering to himself, “That’s weird, very weird.”

“That's it, we're doomed! we are completely and utterly doomed!” leo whispers to herself curling up into an even smaller ball. “Not only do I have some guy from RE4 after me for who knows what reason, I also have a bloody Anti Spiral after me…” she said before looking to David for a solution to their predicament. “What do I do?” she asked beginning to break down, she had just found a clue to her origins which she had been searching for her entire life and now she finds herself being hunted by what she believed to be two of the most dangerous beings she had ever heard of.

“First, we take care of the Angels. Second,” David said, “We find Crux.”

Leo just nodded her head and followed David, who she believed to be her last strand of hope in the current situation she found herself in. After taking a deep breath she tried to compose herself as best she could before they began to walk down the hall and away from The Merchant and Anti Spiral.

David opened the door, revealing a room full of Weeping Angels, “Here we are,” he reached into his pocket and placed down the pocket paradox before leaning over to Leo, “Get ready to run!” He grabbed her and they turned around. seconds later, the room exploded as the ran downstairs and outside the orphanage. David brushed off his pants, “Well, good thing the orphanage was empty.”

“And also Explains what happened to the left wing that vanished around the time i arrived…” Leo said her eye twitching at the giant gap in the building.

David felt someone tap him on the shoulder, before turning around. “Yes?”

“Would you like to explain who you are, why you're here, and how you got ahold one of my patented pocket paradoxes?” the much younger Crux asked David before crossing his arms and taking notice of Leo in his arms, “And who is that?” he said while looking at Leo.

“Well of course, you gave it to me, and this,” David put his hands on Leo’s shoulders, “Is the kid in your arms. Try to keep them apart, the paradox would be horrific.”

Crux just stared at him then asked while backing up a few feet in case David was telling the truth, “Ok… I'm going to go with time travel and don't need to know should it change the space time continuum, after all I've had enough trouble fixing the current paradoxes left behind by other void beings…” before rocking Baby Leo a bit and pulling the pink blanket down a bit to show her face.

Leo just stared perplexed, “Wait a minute, when I was a baby i was female!?” Leo said before looking at Crux. “But i remember growing up in that orphanage as a boy…” she said giving Crux an idea.

“Interesting choice of words!” He said before waving his hand over Baby Leo turning her into a boy. “That should deceive them for now.” he said giving Leo a smile.

“He was a girl, she was a boy, can I make it any more obvious,” a familiar voice sang from above them.

Crux seemed to go rigid at the sound of the voice, “Where are you! I won’t let you do anything to my DAUGHTER!” he said whipping his head around as if searching for something.

“Oh come on DUDE, you know who it is,” Essence floated down into his vision, flicking her tail about.

“I’m going to guess and I don’t think I’m going to like either outcome, are you a time traveler and are you the cat lady that accidentally destroyed my home?” Crux asked backing up slowly.

“Time traveler,” she scoffed, “As for the home… that was an accident.”

“Figures... “ Crux said with a sigh, “So what do yall want to know? Or are you just here to look around?” he then materialized a basket and put Baby Leo in it and put him on the steps of the orphanage before leading the others into the alleyway where the TARDIS appeared as if it had been called.

“Well, we had an issue with the Weeping Angels,” David said.

“Thanks for disposing of them by the way, I hate those things…” Crux said before shuddering. “Those pests are one of the few things that could possibly kill me.” he said before recomposing himself.

“They are pretty creepy,” Essence muttered, sitting on Crux’s head.

“I’ve yet to deal with them back home. Actually, I’m only home for a few seconds before I’m summoned or sent off, so Torchwood may do that,” David said.

“You know, you're much cuter when your shrunken Ms. MADNESS.” Crux said while chuckling at the mini Essence on his head.

“Why thank you,” she giggled.

“So, if you’re my father... who is my mother?” Leo asked getting Crux’s attention.

Crux went rigid at the question and slowly turned to Leo, “Well… the only way i can put this is that she is no longer part of the omniverse…” he said in a sad tone before turning and staring into the sky.

Taking the hint Leo changed the subject, “So Doctor, What are we going to do now?” she asked before starting to walk over to the TARDIS.

“Might as well head back to your world,” David said.

“Ok, see you in the future Crux!” Leo said before stepping inside the TARDIS and flinging the coat she was wearing off into the pile she had originally found it in. “Home, here we come!” she sighed before strapping herself to the railing.

“Allons-y!” David said, throwing his hands down onto the console.

“So what do you think will happen when we return to Equestria?” Leo asked while smirking at David.

“The Angels should be gone. I’m not sure what that’ll affect timeline wise though,” David said.

“Well let's just hope nothing goes wrong.” Leo said before wincing, “I just jinxed it didn't I?”

“Possibly,” David said.

-Equestria-

“That went a lot better than I thought it would,” Leo said as she crawled out of the TARDIS before proceeding to kiss the ground, “I am SO glad this didn’t turn into one of the doctors end of the world adventures!” she said before turning to David and giving him a sheepish grin, “No offense…”

David shook his head, “It’s fine.”

“You know I never got a full explanation about this whole Displaced thing… I’ve mostly been winging it…” she said before laughing nervously.

“Right then, long or short version?” David asked, wondering why he always got people who knew nothing of such things, before having Leo follow him back into the TARDIS.

“Crux already gave me the short version, I will take the long one this time.” Leo said before sitting on the ground preparing for this to take a while.

“Okay, there’s no known exact time, but around a one Void cycle ago, The Merchant began Displacing humans in costume. Eventually, they came to call themselves Displaced. After that, a few new forms of Displaced, not costumed, arose. As for Tokens,” David held up his sonic screwdriver, “I’ve been studying them, and I think I know how they work. Basically,” David spun the monitor to face them, “A Token is made of a shard of your Universe. Something miniscule and unnoticeable. It uses this shard to connect to another and they form a link, or bridge, between each other. However, the link is very unstable and only allows travel once before it goes dormant. When you’re allowed to leave, it reactivates and sends you home or sends them home. By this logic, I believe you can send something through to another Displaced which is how Tokens are dispersed.”

“Interesting, So can I have a copy of your token?” Leo asked while getting up from where she was sitting.

David pointed his sonic in the air and a copy of it fell into Leo’s hand, “Setting D10, you can summon me.”

“Thanks, and if you want to summon me take the digivice I gave you and hold it in front of you while saying gate open and I can give you backup whenever.” Leo said before starting to walk away. “Until next time Doctor, Good luck! and I hope Solarmon is able to help you out in the future whenever I am not available!” she said before disappearing from his sight as the TARDIS dematerialized.

The Doctor Files: The Merchant

View Online

As one of the many Displaced by the Merchant, I, David Tennant, also know as the Doctor, have decided to document any and all information I have found regarding the Merchant.

Known Alias- The Merchant, Lucy, Asshole...

The Merchant can usually be found tricking unsuspecting victims into purchasing his merchandise, usually at a conventions of some sort. Other ways he has done this include, internet auctions, placing the item on them, or tricking them into touching it.

The Merchant seems to have an odd feeling of trolling and/or mystery. Little is known why he does this, though he sometimes hints at a larger plan, and sometimes, it’s for mischief. Compared to Essence or Aaron, I find this character to not be one you want to meet in a dark alley, or anywhere else for that matter.

The Merchant usually goes for the same type of look, though it can vary greatly.
A few known appearances-

The Merchant was originally part of ‘The Council of Influences’ with Essence, among others, before he and his lackey’s murdered them. However, Essence has yet to get revenge, even though she can. The Merchant lives in constant fear, more so after Aaron removed a few of his… privates. Notably, The Mercantile Displaced are in costume.

Updates will be added as I receive or acquire more information.

Article I
The Void

The Void is that transcendental space mentioned by various people and entities across the Omniverse. Most people, in particular the Displaced, seem to be more informed than others, likely due to their interactions with the beings that dwell there. Many still write off as a place where anything and everything and nothing is always happening, yet, according to the beings interviewed, this is far from a proper explanation. The Void, as its name implies, is the area between universes and, most densely, between Multiverses. This next dimension of 'space' is not exactly a void, however. A void implies complete and utter nothingness.

As known by most, universes are the areas of order and matter in the Void, represented in various forms. Void Dwellers, the entities that reside in this place, have claimed to have seen every variance of shape size and color. Some universes aren't even visible at all, though, visibility is only relevant if one wishes it to be, whilst in the Void. Despite the variance, there is one common factor. A universe cannot directly access the Void, though, vice versa is not true. The limitations made here seem to be vast, however, as even empty universes do not reflect a copy of the Void. Few universes have ever been properly affected by the Void, and each have resulted in results that defy what has been stated, perhaps the result of the universe still not receiving a perfect corruption.

These universes spawned multiple things, yet, the most notable are the first Void Dwellers. The first Dwellers were then met with by 'Sentient Concepts' the previous reigning rulers amongst the Void. These first beings were even stranger than their followers, with abilities that still leave many confused and speechless to these days. Void Dwellers are entities that have been slightly corrupted by the Void and can control a small fraction of it. Sentient Concepts, by comparison, can control massive portions, though they vary as well. The other universes spawned 'Voidlings', powerful corruption lesser entities that attempt to devour crumbling universes. Mostly, these are harmless, as they seek to devour only the universe and not its inhabitants, for some unknown reason. Lastly, we have Displaced.

The first Displaced were also the result of a Void corruption. They were disrupted and, by the will of whoever stood by them that day, allowed to survive and flourish in other universes. Few universes see this happen, and, as of yet, have only resulted in these three effects, an odd occurrence in a place of random possibilities.

In the Void, universes act much like planets, and many are, in fact, barren, empty, or uninhabitable, though not usually all three. Despite the variance, after having been granted to study a universe amongst the void, discoveries were made about them. Much like planets, they have an 'atmosphere' of sorts, however, through this veil only a portion, the most 'active portion' of the universe, is visible. However, after using portion of bottled Void, this atmosphere showed little resistance. Yet, when paired with the 'magnetic field' of the universe, provided a very resilient surface to Void interaction. Despite much research, no explanations have been garnered about this force, though some theories have arisen. When theory after theory arose, even amongst Void Dwelling associates, a Concept was questioned, their response was a mere smile. Current agreed upon theory is that it is the force of pure order, whereas the Void is the force of pure chaos.

The Void itself is far more confusing than typically agreed upon. Even amongst the many, many, Void Dwellers, there is little agreed upon. However, research has been led to believe that the Void itself is energy and pure, raw, matter. Matter in an unknown form. None of the studied matter holds properties of the usual physical realms. This matter seems to be a soup, a raw primordial soup. Some atoms hold 1 billion protons and a single neutron, while some seem to be nothing but electrons, or even nothing at all. In a sense, the properties of this form of matter is the combination of all forms of matter, liquid, solid, plasma, gas, and even Einstein Bose Condensates. The entanglement of this matter with all forms of other properties makes it something considerably interesting. This matter is now referred to as Primordial Quantum Voidic Matter, PQVM for short. The colliding atoms create a small portion of the energy, while, in the other section, the energy seems to be generated by Concepts, by universes, and seeps from the very Void itself. This energy holds no constant, disappearing at will.

Strangest of all, is the Concept who was most interested in the research. Whenever entering the room, all the energy and matter would repel and suddenly splash back. They seemed to both absorb and expel all at the same time. When using their power, the Void would bend flawlessly to their will. When asked, the response was nothing short of yet another smile.

Dwellers seem to hold a small control over the energy, yet do not generate it, nor do 'Realmers'. Dwellers bend and absorb the Void, yet none have a fair amount of control over it. Whenever placing a Realm being into the Void, they seem to dissolve and convert to matter and energy. It would seem that ordinary matter, even forms of antimatter, cannot be held to their predecessor or counterpart. It is, as stated, pure and raw. Order plays no part and dissolves before it. The process is painless, oddly enough, and can be reversed with disturbing ease. The Void seems to hold itself back when doing this, as if it has a will of its very own.

The Void is an odd, existential, level of dimensions, matter, energy. It is the place where, yes, anything and everything exists, and yet, not even in the Void, is there a place where truly nothing exists. Each universe, person, place, in this Omniverse truly holds some of the Void in it, yet, the Void is something far different from what one might expect. If there is a truly a place where it is nothing, it would, in all truth, be deadly to anything of our Omniverse, because Existence is what we dwel in. Should we find that place one day, studies will most definitely have to be made.

Article II
Displaced and Tokens

The Displaced, as previous mentioned, are the 'Dimensionally Misplaced' (See Footnote II.a). In a typical situation, the Displaced is changed to fit the bill of a character they were roleplaying or cosplaying as, the usual center for a victim is a convention. Conventions are commonly used for their number of people, lack of guards, and just the type of person attending them. Due to this, the majority of Displaced are, or start as, humans. Humans are typically found to be incredibly adaptable, quicker to accept fate, and in general are more susceptible to Displacement. Due to their high amount of fictional content, universes with humans, though mostly the human planet, are found to have a thinner barrier and are much easier to access.

On the other half, humans are also often found to deny reality, and this can be either a pro or a con, for a Displacer. The majority of current Displaced accept their fate, or have gone mad enough, a common occurrence which will be explained momentarily, that they don't care anymore. Displaced are often seen in various light, some being villains, some heroes, some neither. As such, many worlds have varied opinions on their residential Displaced. Humans are also susceptible to changes in their mental state, both for the madness, though this holds yet other reasons, and for their abilities to quickly change to fit their character and learn its powers. Many Displaced are granted with knowledge of how to use their powers rather quickly.

Madness is a common occurrence amongst Displaced for a variety of reasons. The most common being the sheer amount of force put by their new powers on their mind and the physiology of their body being changed, along with the change in mental biology. The character they may have been changed into may have a mental state susceptible to madness or just so different from the Displaced's original that it drives them mad. Another occurrence is the presence of Madness, a Concept, in that world. Usually madness tends to only affect the Displaced of the Merchant, or her own to a lesser degree. We will delve further into why she does this at another point. Last among reasons, is the force put forth by a Displacer's will, making the Displaced obey their will so they will do what the Displacer requires. As humans are not as susceptible to this as most races, they have a tendency to rebel and fall to madness.

Despite the common occurrence of Convention Displaced or roleplaying Displaced, there are a fair number of which whom are not of either. Some are Convention Displaced who merely bought an item and ended up being forged around the item in question, while others have an even stranger start. There are Displaced whom received a few powers and were sent there as themselves, or in another physiology, and these have a startling low amount of madness as their power forms around them, as opposed to them forming around their powers. These Displaced are never brought from the same events, though they do seem to share that they have been given a second chance at life, having nearly died before being Displaced. Others merely wished for a way out and were by chance gifted it.

The Displaced are not common, though they seem to have boomed in the latest cycles. There are several thousand more than in the beginning, and it seems to provide an odd sort f balance and competition amongst their Displacers, a group of Void Dwellers and Concepts who, if it were not obvious, Displace people or other variances thereof. Displacers share some traits with their Displaced, and some once were Displaced, but a few seem to have more at stake in the 'competition' that has arisen, if one can even call it that. Some Displacers only have one, maybe two, Displaced while others have an exponential amount more. Most notable are the Merchant, and Madness, also called Essence.

Common belief states that the Merchant was the start of Displacement, and much evidence says to this, though that may not be true. The Merchant is an odd sort of Concept, being the Concept of Greed and Desire, and seems to have a more sinister reason for Displacing people, even following a more dark form of Displacement. In this form of Displaced creation, the victim of Displacement is taken from their world and their body is destroyed whilst their consciousness, their soul, is held during the acquiring of a new body, the body of the person the Displaced is becoming. The original soul is removed, and the Displaced's is put there in its stead while the original soul ceases existence. This form often left worlds crippled and bent, until a failsafe was instilled, forcing, after a number of Displaced, the Merchant to follow the same methods as his rivals.

The more humane method of Displacement involves placing the person into the Void itself and letting their body dissolve slightly, whilst their mind or soul is placed in a hibernation of sorts. After a long enough time, a new body is formed around them through the force and will of their Displacer. This form also seems to lead to less ill effects, as, in technicality, it is still the Displaced's original form. There are a likely number of other forms of Displacement, but those need not be mentioned as they are simple as can be.

Once a person is Displaced, they are allowed to adapt to their new world, and in the case of the Mental Exchange Displacement, this often leads to certain Displaced having their body's old world inhabitants among Equestria, though these seem to evolve to the new world quickly. In the case of Reformation Displacement, the Displacer copies the base form's world's inhabitants, creatures, or items and minerals, and places them amongst the new world, putting them there either shortly before the Displaced, or at the beginning of time.

Amongst the Displaced, there is a common form of communication. This form is often called a 'Token' and is usually an item of some sort, usually something pertaining to the person who has a desire to create it. Displaced tokens are often copied and scattered amongst all Displaced worlds, allowing them to meet up and help each other, an odd event in most Multiverses. Despite common belief that a Displaced's powers create a Token, this is far from the truth. Displaced Tokens are already instilled with the power by a Displacer and the Displaced merely activates this power. In other cases, the Displacer will react with the Displaced and create the Token as the Displaced does, giving the illusion the Displaced made it themself.

A token also acts as a few other things, namely a means to summon a Displaced. When a Displaced is summoned, unless they hold something capable of surviving in the Void, they will not arrive at their destination. In most cases, the Displaced's original Token base if given this ability, as many items seem to hold a higher resilience to the Void. However, a normal item such a table will dissolve much faster than a living being, this being due to the lack of power in the item itself. In other cases, the Displacer will create a universal tunnel, allowing the Displaced to travel to this other world.

Tokens also act as a means of communication, creating an almost telepathic link between the Displaced and the Token-holder. Displaced are not the only beings to hold the ability to sue this, or the ability to summon Displaced. It requires a level of power, but only a fraction, as the Token merely requires an anchor. These tokens finally serve as a power holder, or canister of some sort. While not all can do this, some hold a mimic of the original Displaced's power. There are restrictions, starting off that the power is not as strong or potent, and only lasts a short period of time. Tokens are a important piece of the Displaced community and structure.
