It has been a year after the defeat of Tirek, and Discord finally has true friends and, even better, he spents his time helping other ponies. One day, Discord is starting to see visions from his past or have unusual dreams, so he calls for Twilight's help, but in that moment there are other problems. A new creature is in Equestria and it's starting to causing chaos so Princess Celestia ask the Mane 6 and especially Discord to find this creature and stop it , or at least, talk to it. What this ponies doesn't know is that this NEW creature is involved in Discord's past, especially his childhood.

It was the most powerful storm of the histories of storms, especially in winter. All the kingdom were under the snow. No ones know how or what was causing this, but they know they will not survive if their majesties don't do something about. The rulers were depressed, because they have lost their more important thing in the world, their son and future prince.
The king Safa doesn't know what to do. He and his queen were very sad for their lost but they cannot still just there watching their entire kingdom falling down. He still remembers what happened to his boy. It was the child's 10th birthday and his was going to receives the big new that he was going to be the prince of his parent's kingdom. But that gift never come, because of a terrible avalanche that nobody knows the reason why it happened.
The queen Isara was the most affected of her lost. The only thing she wanted to know was if her son is still alive. So, the day after the prince got lost, the king and queen made an announcement.
"Dear subjects, this storm soon will leave our kingdom but not the fact that our dearest son is lost. My wife and i are starting the search of our lost prince. All our guards will be on it, but please if anyone of you wanted to collaborate with this searching, we don't know how to thank you enough. The searching of the lost prince started now!" said the king.
After that, the storm was over and the searching of the prince started. All the subjects and guards of the kingdom started to look everywhere, even beyond the kingdom prides but no so far enough to get lost in other lands. The days become weeks and the weeks become months and this become years and the years become centuries, two centuries actually, but the king and queen could never found his beloved son. All the kingdom of Draconequus got depressed, the kids; the subjects; the guards, the prince's best friend and especially the king and queen. Nobody knows what happened to their prince; where is he; if he is alive or dead, and the most important thing, if their beloved prince Discord would someday come back to his home.
So one day, after two thousand years, one female draconequus decided to safe her kingdom and her family doing a journey to found the lost prince, and her best friend. Eris, since the day she lost his friend, has been investigating in his case, and discovered that the prince got lost near a little portal to another world. So she went to the age of her land and then in the deep of a little cave, she found a portal. When she crossed it she knows that soon she will found her friend in this new land called: Equestria.
Since the defeat of Tirek, Discord did anything to win the trust of the ponies, and of course, the trust of his new best friends, the Mane 6.
He helped Applejack with her duties from the farm;
Rarity being her mannequin for new clothes;
Rainbow Dash with her new moves to fly;
Pinkie Pie, well you know, with her parties;
Twilight with her new castle
and of course his best friend,
Fluttershy. He helped her with her animals, even he doesn't like them very much, and with her cottage.
Discord became more close to the Mane 6 and Spike, even he had talks with Princess Celestia and Princess Luna. Discord finally had real friends and learned the true meaning of friendship, but he still feels a little unsafe about Tirek, because sometimes he feels the dark inside him, but all this disappears when he spent his time with his 6 favorites ponies in the world and a little purple dragon.
One morning, Applejack was going to see Fluttershy and Discord, especially Discord because she needs help to get out some trash of their backyard, actually the vegetal part. Applejack knock the door, listening Fluttershy laughing with his friend. Finally she open the door.
"Hi Fluttershy, how you doin'?" said Applejack.
Fluttershy was cleaning her desk after her tea party with Discord.
"Oh, Hi Applejack. I'm fine thanks. What brings you here?"
"I was just wondering if you could borrow me Discord for a moment"
Discord, heard that, pop between the two ponies.
"Why, my dear country friend, do you need my services?" said Discord dressed like a lawyer.
The country pony giggle. "All i need is to help me with a couple of chores."
"Of course. It will be my placer"
But then, only a few seconds left, a letter pop out surprising the three friends. It was adress to Discord.
"What in tardanation?" said Applejack
"For who is it?" asked Discord
Fluttershy read the adress.
"It's for you, Discord. It's from Princess Celestia." answer Fluttershy.
"For me? What would Celestia want so early?"
Discord read it.
"Dear Discord. I need you and Twilight's friends present here in Canterlot, at my castle for a meeting. I got news but my sister and i need your help, with the Mane 6 of course. I will give all explanations about this, i already wrote to Princess Twilight, so get here soon as possible. Thank you, Princess Celestia"
"So, what does it say?"ask Applejack
"Celestia wants all of us, including me, to meet her in Canterlot. It is important." said Discord in a serious voice.
"Oh goodness. Is something bad?" ask Flittershy
"I don't know. She said that we must go to Canterlot at once."
"Alright then. Forget my problem. Princess Celestia needs us. I'm goin' to tell the others."said Applejack.
Minutes then, the Mane 6, Spike and Discord take the first train to Canterlot, actually Discord just transport himself to the train station of Canterlot and wait his friends there.
"I said it once and i'm saying again. I hate the train. Why don't yoy guys fly and help the others by transportation?" asked Discord when his friends arrives.
"Please don't start now Discord." said Twilight.
All the ponies got inside the castle when they meet the Princesses, including Princes Candance.
"Oh my gosh, is everything alright? we are been attached?, who is dying?, what is go..."said Pinkie Pie before being shouted by Applejack's hoof.
"No, is nothing of that." said Princess Luna.
"Then what is so important?" said Rainbow Dash.
"You wrote that you got news. What is it about?" said Twilight.
Princess Celestia look Discord for a while and then said.
"I'm afraid that we got the visit of the Pony of the Shadows."
All gasped, but no Discord.
"Oh, come on Celestia. That is nothing but a legend." said Discord.
"It is not Discord. We saw it." said Luna. "The Pony of the Shadows get in the mind of ponies and especially creatures because they are the more dangerous, like dragons; griffons,... and you Discord!!!"
"My Luna, do you really think that i'm going to betrayed my friends again?!" said Discord.
"We are not meaning that Discord." said Cadance " We mean that all of us must need to be careful. Maybe the Pony of Shadows can corrupt anyone of us and make it suffer."
"Why only make it suffer? It doesn't want to take over Equestria or somethin'?" ask Applejack.
"The meaning of The Pony of the Shadows is to give darkness and suffering in the lives of ponies. And now that Discord is release, maybe it want to corrupt him." said Celestia. "That's why I am telling this to all of you. Now that Tirek is defeated, there is harmony and love in Equestria, but if the Pony of the Shadows wants to expand dark magic here, we have to prevent to hang the dark thoughts or dreams the it's going to create in our mind."
"Not only on us, it can get in any pony head" said Princess Luna. "That's why if any of you see the Pony of the Shadows in your dreams just tell me and i will be able to defeat it or at least locate it."
"Obviously because is a shadow." said Discord
"Don't worry Princesses, we'll inform you if anypony is having this thoughts right girls?" said Twilight
"Of course darling" said Rarity
"Me too" said Fluttershy
"Me three" said Pinkie Pie
"Eyup"said Applejack
"Don't worry" said Spike
"I never have nightmares or something like that but if it's the rule, i'm on it." said Rainbow Dash.
Discord was the only one who doesn't respond because he already had a dream like that but he doesn't want to worry anypony, especially his friends.
" Well, i'm glad to hear that. Thanks for your time. You may go."said Princess Celestia
The Mane 6 and Spike said goodbye, but Discord stay in the room.
"Umm, Celestia, Luna. Can I talk to you? said Discord "Alone..." said this time looking Princess Cadance.
"Oh, sorry. I'm leaving." said Princess Cadance
She left and Celestia look at her sister and then at Discord worry.
"What is it Discord?"ask Celestia
"I need Luna get in my dreams tonight." said Discord " Maybe she knows something about this last dreams that I'm having."
"Why? What kind of dreams are yours?" ask Princess Luna.
"I don't know if they are nightmares, visions, or..." said Discord looking other way. "memories.
"What do you mean memories?" said Princess Luna "What kind of things did you see?"
"Well, sometimes my dreams are about cotton candy clouds and chocolate rain, but these last months i have been dreaming about unknow kingdoms, snow storms, avalanches or just places I didn't know they exist." said Discord. "That's what I wanted to Luna get in my dreams, maybe she has seen these things before and put all this mess clear."
Celestia first thought it was the Pony of the Shadows, but Discord had this weird dreams months ago and the Pony of the Shadows just came around. Besides, he didn't suffered in his dreams, so there was no way. These dreams didn't have sense, even for Discord, so she starting to think the visions case or the memories case, but when she was younger, there was no avalanche. The only snow storm was the first Heart's Warming Eve, but that was years ago, before Discord ruled Equestria.
"Very well Discord, Luna will help you, but if you've been having these dreams for a long time, why you didn't tell us or tell to Twilight, or any of your friends?" ask Celestia
"Because I don't wanted them to get worried, but you two are used to it." said Discord, with a small smile.
At first, the two sisters look each other but then changed the theme.
"Alright, tonight I will be in your dreams, but you better not be lying just for attention." warn Luna.
"I SWEAR!" said Discord. "This is serious to me, i know it's crazy, but this time I DO care about this. I usually dream weird stuff, but this time, I can't even explain it to myself!"
"Alright, alright. Don't worry, I will help you." said Princess Luna
"Okay, thanks." said Discord. "Dream you later!"
He just snapped his fingers and dissapered.
The two sister look at each other and then went to their rooms, except Princess Luna because she was going to visit a friend of her that night.
"So, now you sleep here?" asked Fluttershy.
Discord and the little pegasus were in front of Discord's thinking tree. It was dark already but Fluttershy's cottage was near there so she wasn't afraid to walk back home.
"Yes. I don't want to invaded your place, so I decided to pasts my nights here." said Discord
"Oh, but your not a problem in my home at all" said Fluttershy.
"But still, it feels bad. Don't worry, I will be fine here." said Discord.
He transported himself up the tree and said goodbye to his lovely friend.
"Sleep well" said Fluttershy while she was leaving.
"I'll try." said Discord in a very low volume.
He made appear a pillow and a quilt, and minutes then, he fell sleep.
Once he opened his eyes, Discord was in the middle of a big garden, but instead of grass there was candy and up in the sky were cotton candy clouds, and near from him was a long river of chocolate milk. At first, Discord was surprised but then relieved because that means that he was no longer dreaming that weird stuff.
"Well, it's looks that Luna's visit is not gonna help me in anything." think Discord.
But then, he heard a big roar. He didn't know what kind of creatures could do that noise but it scared him.
"What in the world?!" screamed Discord.
Then, a lot of snow just come down from a big mountain causing an avalanche. It was so strong and fast that it drag all in it's way. Discord couldn't remember the last time he was so scared, so the only thing that he could do was run for his life. He have never felt so tired and scared that he forgot that this was only dream, but it feels so real. Desperate, he started to scream.
"HELP!!! SOMEBODY!!!" screamed Discord.
Then he fell down, in front of the avanlanche, but after a few seconds, a glow light appeared. He opened his eyes and saw Princess Luna flying right to him. He turn and the snow and all was gone. He was relieved and the same time happy to see Luna.
"Are you alright?" asked Luna in the ground already.
"Yeah, thank you for remember your promise."said Discord. "You just saved my life Luna. I could kiss you... but I WON'T!" said with a disgusting expression.
Luna watch him angry at first but then asked him:
"Why are you having this kind of dreams?." asked Luna. "Avalanches?; roars?; snow storms?. What is all about?"
"I told you I don't know. If these are nightmares, so they are making no sense, and no in the 'funny' no sense!" said Discord.
"What if they are visions? Or memories?" said Luna
"Well, I should be rulling Equestria if they are visions then because there were chocolate milk rivers and cotton candy clouds everywhere. In the 'memories' case, is possible but before me or you and your sister reigned Equestria, there were avalanches or snow storms? You know before the first Heart's Warming Eve."
"Not that I can remember. Maybe this memories are before all of that or maybe in other place." said Luna
"What you in mean in other place?" said Discord. "I haven't live in other place but Equestria."
"How you can be completely sure?" said Luna.
Discord stay thinking for a seconds. "I just know alright!"
Princess Luna started to get worry. Discord need help. She can't just leave him like that, he was her friend now, sorta.
"Listen, you should go see Princess Twilight or someone else, while I will search something of this in my library. Do you know anyone else that can help you with this?" asked Luna.
"Well i got Princess Twilight, the mane 5 and..." said Discord while he was thinking. Then he thought in someone else. " Of course, Zecora, our zebra friend!!!!"
"Well, as long they help, I will discuss this with my sister, alright?" said Luna.
"Yeah yeah, of course. Hey no problem. Again thanks for your help. I'm tired to be awake every night."said Discord.
"But your not awake anymore" said Luna flying up.
"What do you me...?"said Discord interrupted by a light where Princess Luna disappeared and when Discord wake up in his thinking tree.
It was already morning, like 6 o'clock of the morning. Discord was confused in the first time, but then remember what just happened.
"Good morning Discord!" said Fluttershy.
"Ah? Oh, hello Fluttershy." said Discord. "May I ask you for a favor?"
"Sure anything. What do you need?"
"Can we, and by we I mean, you; me and the Mane 6, get together for a meeting?"asked Discord "You see, I'm having some 'dream problem' and I was wondering that maybe Twilight can help me with her books."
"Oh of course. You are our friend now. We'd love to help you" said Fluttershy a little worry about hi. "Let's go"
"Thanks Flutters. You the best friend a creature could ever had." said Discord while both of them were leaving from the tree to the castle of Princess Twilight.
“All right every pony. Any reports of the Pony of the Shadows?” said Twilight
The Mane 6, except for Fluttershy, and Spike were in their thrones for a meeting. It has been only one night since the apparition of the Pony of the Shadows.
“Me and Spike haven’t seen it, right Spike?”
“Well, I saw nothing strange, only my usual jewels dreams” said Spike while his stomach groaned.
“Sorry Spike. I will give your breakfast as we finish this. I promise” said Twilight.
“Oh, don’t worry Twilight”
Twilight continue with the meeting.
“Has any pony seen Fluttershy? She know that we were going to have a meeting right?” asked Twilight.
“I told Discord that we are having a meeting” said Pinkie Pie
“Sure! And I guess that Discord told her” said Rainbow Dash sarcastically.
“Well, let’s continue with the reports, shall we?” said Rarity
“Mah family hasn’t been dreaming with that thing, neither do I.” said Applejack.
“Sweetie Bell and I slept last night like angels.”
“I suppose there’s nothing we should be worry about.” Said Twilight.
But then, the doors of the castle opened. The ponies turned to see Fluttershy and Discord walking to the thrones while Discord was talking.
“Oh great. So the only one who is having troubles to sleep is me!” groaned Discord.
“What?!” screamed Twilight.
“Um… yeah. Discord had a bad dream last night and…” said Fluttershy before been interrupted by Discord.
“They are not dreams! Princess Luna said they were memories or something like that, because these ‘dreams’ are before the creation of Equestria” said Discord.
“What ya mean by memories?” said Applejack.
“Well, for me the Pony in the Shadows is not a problem anymore” comment Rainbow Dash.
“Mm… I think you should call for help to Princess Luna.” Said Twilight.
“She was in my ‘dreams’ last night and she told she would talk with Celestia.” Said Discord.
“I think we should request other’s one help, but who?” said Twilight.
Everypony, dragon and draconequus were thinking, until Pinkie Pie popped with an idea.
“I think we should go with Zecora!” suggested Pinkie Pie.
“That’s a great idea darling” said Rarity.
“Oh yeah, I totally forgot!” said Discord. “But are you sure it’s a good idea?” said Discord.
“I don’t think she would bother to give us a hoof, or in Discord’s case, claw or paw.” said Spike.
“Um… I guess we can try, if you are okay with that Discord” said Fluttershy.
“Well, she never stops with the ‘rhyme thing’ but is better than nothing.” said Discord.
“All right then, we are going to visit the Everfree Forest!” said Pinkie Pie exited.
Every one look at Pinkie confused, but then she corrected what she just said.
“I mean… we are going to visit Zecora!”
Every pony chuckled and then where on their way to, as Pinkie said, the Everfree Forest.
Zecora heard a knock from outside her door and get hurry to opened.
“Well, hello my dear friends. What is the reason that all of you came?” said Zecora
“And, here we go with the rhymes.” Said Discord, looking to other way.
The zebra look at him with a bad face but then get her attention to the alicorn.
“Zecora, would you help us with something. There is a problem with Discord and his mind.” Said Twilight.
“Hey! I could be a little sleepy but I’m not deaf or crazy!”
The zebra chuckled.
“Well indeed, please do come in.” said the zebra.
All the friends came inside. They put around the cauldron and then Discord started to tell his troubles.
“Well, as our dear Princess Twilight said, I have problems, but I’m not crazy!” said Discord. “I’m having these nightmares, but honestly, I don’t know if they are visions or memories or any other thing.”
“Would you help us Zecora?” asked Fluttershy.
“Well, actually just help Discord” said Rainbow Dash.
“I’ll love to solve your problem, and I’m glad you brought them.” Said Zecora to the draconequus referring to the ponies.
“Yeah, they are my friends remember.” Said Discord.
“But that not only shows that you need their help, it also shows that you are desperate.” Said again the zebra.
“What!?” screamed Discord. “Desperate! Please!”
“Don’t worry Discord. There’s nothing bad to asking for a little help.” said Pinkie Pie
“Yeah, Applejack knows about that.” said Rainbow.
“Why is going on in your dreams, and while you telling us, will you want a cup of tea?” asked Zecora.
Everypony has their cup of tea and Discord started to tell his dreams. The avalanches, the snow storms, the roars, and the last one when he was in a canyon. When he finished, Zecora take some of her stuff.
“To see what’s going on, I must have to make a soup.” Said Zecora.
“Soup?” asked Fluttershy.
“Um… Zecora, I don’t think it’s the time for a snack” said Applejack.
“All I need it’s petals from a certain flower, and a blue color powder.” said Zecora.
She mixed all her things in her cauldron. The liquid turn blue into purple and then put all the soup in a cup.
“If you want to know what your conscience think, this soup you must drink.” said Zecora.
“Ugh, soup!” gaged Discord.
“Ahem!” said Fluttershy.
“Okay, okay.” said Discord putting his claw and paw in the air.
“It’s like the drink you gave me to find the answered when the Tree of Harmony was in danger?” asked Twilight.
“That is right. If he drinks this, his dreams would get to the light. We’ll be able to see what’s wrong, and why he is seeing storms of snow.” answered Zecora.
“Alright… here we go” said Discord.
The creature put the cup in his mouth and started to drink, while the ponies, Spike, and Zecora watch him. He finished drinking the soup.
“I don’t feel anythi…” said Discord before fell down in the floor completely sleep.
He was there, in the floor, with his eyes closed and the ponies think the worst, because he wasn’t moving.
“Oh goodness!” screamed Fluttershy .
“Um… is he alright?” asked Rainbow Dash.
“Discord!!! Wake up!” screamed Pinkie Pie to his ear.
“He is alright, for him now is night.” said Zecora. “His dreams would appear in the cauldron, so we will see what is wrong.”
“So, in other words… He’s just sleep.” said Applejack.
“I suppose…” said Twilight.
“While he is sleep, we can see what is in his memories deep.” said Zecora.
“So what we are waiting for? The movie is going to start! I’ll bring the popcorn!” said Pinkie Pie.
All the ponies seat in front of the cauldron to see their friend’s past.
“WOW!”
Discord was again in the canyon, but this time it wasn’t a dream. He saw a floor of squares color pink and light blue, clouds of cotton candy and rivers of chocolate milk. Then, something caught his attention. A snake- tail beside a big rock of candy, just as his. The snake-tail move, so Discord decided to follow it. When he finally caught it, he could not believe what he was seeing. Another draconequus!
"I thought I was the only one!” screamed Discord with joy. “Hello, exuse me. Where am I?”
But the other draconequus didn’t answer. He just stays there. Discord saw him in confusion.
“Um… hello! Did you hear me?” said Discord moving his paw in front of the other creature.
The other still stays there, just watching the waterfalls of chocolate milk.
“Wait a minute! It’s like Twilight’s case. She traveled to the past and nopony could hear her!” released Discord.
Then the other draconequus move quickly to a cave.
“Well, I better follow him.” said Discord. “Maybe I can explore this place a little bit more. I don’t know why, but it looks very familiar.”
He started to follow him inside of the cave. It was very dark but with his magic, he could make a little light. He was starting to get tired.
“Geez. Where this guy is going anyway? It must be a pretty big place.” Said Discord. “Finally a light!”
He crossed the end of the cave and when he saw the passage in front of him, his jaw dropped.
“SWEET CELESTIA IN HER THRONE!” screamed Discord putting his claw and paw in his head.
Just right in front of him, was an entire kingdom of Draconequus. There were kids, playing in the “mud”; actually fudge; parents’ draconequus laughing and drinking soda, or chocolate milk; even female draconequus singing and dancing; some couples ice-skating in the ice; even when the weather was summer; and talking in some pinks clouds.
Discord was frozen. He cannot believe it! All these years, he thought he was the only one in his kind, but it seems that once there was an entire kingdom of his specie. He was so happy that tears began to full in his eyes.
“I’m not the only one” whispered Discord.
Then, he heard someone calling all the draconequus.
“All the subjects come to the center of the kingdom! The king and queen are going to present our beloved new prince!” screamed a draconequus in a pink cloud.
Every draconequus fly, or float, to the center to meet their majesties. Discord was curious too, besides the fact that there were a king and a queen.
“I got to see this!” said Discord exited.
Discord flew to the center like the rest of all, but he didn’t know that he was going to be shock when he realise who is this certain new prince.
“Come on friends, we’ll see our new prince of Draconiqusland.” screamed a draconequus.
Discord could not still believe that centuries ago there was an entire kingdom of his kind. He continues floating to the center of the crowd, and there he saw a young couple of draconequus with collars around their necks. In that second, he realized that those were the king and queen of the kingdom. The king had a black mane, like his, but with different color of eyes. His eyes were yellow with brown pupils and the hair of his tail was color black, not like Discord’s, which was white. And the queen had a white and beautiful large mane. Her color eyes were just like Discord’s, yellow with red pupils; and with white hair on her tail, like Discord’s too.
“Hmm, they look quite familiar.” Discord thought.
Every draconequus were screaming of happiness, but then made silence to listen to their king. “Dear subjects, me and my dear wife; queen Isara; are very happy to present you our first child and your future king! Start the ceremony of the royal presentation to welcome our new prince!” said King Safa.
Then, in the air, some draconequus snap their fingers and appeared so bongos and others started to make the chorus voices. In that moment Discord realized that the entire kingdom was going to sing the traditional song when a new royal member was born.
“Oh great, show time.” Discord said excited clapping his paw and claw.
First, the male draconequus began to make the chorus, and then the female draconequus started to dance in a slow way; all of them floating in the air between the cotton candy clouds.

While, the chorus was singing, Discord couldn’t help to see that this certain song was quite familiar to him.
“Where I heard this before?” asked in his mind Discord.
He saw all the female draconequus, with their kids, approaching to the center to see better their majesties, while the male draconequus were still singing. Then one certain male started to sing a solo.
From the day a new prince arrive on here, And staring to say his first words. There’s more he can say And there’s more he can make Make the entire kingdom Be fair and safe.
Our way to live is unique And there’s something that we all should know. That it doesn’t care If your looks are rare. Big or smalls Here we all are the same!
In Draconiqusland! It’s where we belong It’s a place we call home. No matters where we are.

Discord approaches to see better the baby draconequus, because the queen was carry him. The king started to give the baby some presents, like a toys for bite and a little blanket and finally her mother gave him a little collar, which had a picture of himself, and the king and queen. The baby laughs, which makes his parents gave warmly smile. Then, the king Safa carry his baby and show him to the entire kingdom who was cheering of happiness, and later keep singing.

When the song ended, Discord started to feel a little dizzy, but he could hear the king talking one more time. He knew that the potion was running out, so he decided to listen quickly.
“We present you, our son and your future king, Prince…” said King Safa, but Discord never got to hear him because he fell down, totally sleep.
“Wow, who could know that Discord came from and entire kingdom of his kind!” said Rainbow Dash.
“Hush! He’s waking up!” said Applejack.
Discord opened his eyes slowly and saw his five friends looking at him worry, while Zecora was turning off the cauldron. Spike was behind him, holding a cup of water.
“Uh? What just happened?” asked a little dissy Discord, standing up.
“Uf. Thank goodness you’re good Discord.” Said Twilight.
“Ya really scared us for a moment sugar cube.” Said Applejack.
“Hey Discord! We saw it all. You came from a kingdom that is of your same kind and it is ruled by a king a queen and when a royal member is born all together sing that song that we just heard and…
Discord interrupted her putting his paw in her mouth.
“Okay, okay. Thanks Pinkie. I get the point.” said Discord.
“So, how are you feeling?” asked Rainbow Dash.
“You must be happy that you found out that you’re not the only one.” said Fluttershy.
Discord was quiet for a second, making the other ponies worry for him.
“Um, Discord, dear. Are you alright?” asked Rarity.
They waited for a minute, and then, Discord started to jump inside all the tree of Zecora like a in a pinball game, screaming with happiness.
“I’M NOT THE ONLY ONE; I’M NOT THE ONLY ONE; I’M NOT THE ONLY ONE; I’M NOT THE ONLY ONE…”
He keep screaming, before he realized something and began to fell in then ground with a sad expression.
“I mean… I WASN’T the only one.” He said sadly in the floor.
All the mares look at each other feeling sorry for him. Finally, Fluttershy approaches to him.
“Well, but unless you know you had a home once.” She said with a warm smile.
“I guess so, but I wish I could remember something of these things.”
“Well, who knows? Maybe you will remember, but for now, you should just live like before.” Twilight said.
“Yeah, I can throw a party to cheer you up if you want to!” said Pinkie Pie.
“Thanks girls, you are the best; and only; friends I have ever had.” Discord said. “But I still wondering, who was that little baby prince?”
“Maybe I will found out sooner. But it is cool that you came from a kingdom!” Rainbow Dash said.
“We should go to the castle, maybe there you will feel better darling.” Rarity said.
“You can join us Zecora, if you want” Twilight said.
“Thank you my friends, but I can’t I’m afraid.” Zecora said.
“Well, still thanks for your help Zecora. It was really useful.” Fluttershy said while she was following her other friends.
“Bye Zecora, see you later!” Pinkie Pie said.
“Good bye.” Zecora said.
All the ponies; and the dragon and the draconequus were leaving very happy to their meeting in the castle, but they were also relaxed because finally their friend was clam, or unless that’s what they thought.
“I can’t still believe it!!! My kind? A kingdom? What..? How…? Why..?” Discord talk to himself. “How can’t I remember this?! This was supposed to be MY past! This is great, first I was doubting and now I’m even more curious! I wish I can found out what happened to me, or unless my kind”
“Then why didn’t you just told us?”
Discord jump from the grass to his tree like an afraid cat. Then he looked down and saw Fluttershy with a candle to make some light, because it was night already.
“Fluttershy? You almost give me a heart attack!” Discord said while he was getting down of his tree.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t meant to.” Fluttershy said.
“It’s alright. Why are you doing out here in the middle of the night?” Discord asked.
“I was going to asked you the same question.”
“Oh…”
“Why you didn’t tell us, or me, that you’re still worried about this?”
“You wouldn’t understand”
“But… I want to. Please Discord, we’re friends. You know you can tell me anything”
Discord looked her eyes, and after a few minutes thinking, he sighed.
“Okay, it’s just that… well… I don’t know if you ladies saw this in the cauldron but… there was this baby prince… and the king and queen were quiet familiar to me and… well… it’s keep me wondering… who was this baby?... why that song and that king and queen are SO familiar to me… and… I don’t know why but… I kind of feel like… I belong there. I WANT to find that place again but… I don’t even know where it is or where I should look… I don’t even know what happened to them! I thought that this magical soup will help me but… it just gave more and more questions like ever before! I can’t believe I’m saying this but… I don’t know what to do!!!”
Discord put his paw and claw in his face, showing that he was defeated, done for! Never in his life, he felt this shame, except of course when he betrayed his friends for Tirek, but now he was showing pity, and he didn’t like that.
After a few seconds, Discord felt Fluttershy’s hoof in his shoulder. He look at her smiling and then he knew that there were nothing to be worry about.
"Discord, don't worry. I know this case of your kind or family is very important to you, that's why we all are here to help you. If you want to find your family, or at least that place, then you can count in me and the rest of the girls." said Fluttershy.
"Thanks Flutters." answered Discord.
The two friends hug and then the pegasus leave him to go to bed. Discord floated to his thinking tree and tried to rest, but even with his best friend's words, he couldn't get out of his head that place. That place where all his kind lived once, where it was free to create chaos, where nopony judge you for your looks,... that place where he belong.
The minutes turned into hours and Discord still couldn't sleep. He decided to get up and take a stroll inside the Everfree Forest, to refresh his mind. Never on his years, he have felt this worry. Of course, he was worried about his friends when Tirek captured them and all the stuff, but this time, this case was personal. It was about him and his origins.
To be honest, he was never really interested in his past life because he was to busy trying to take over Equestria, and neither now a cause of this "friendship thing", but now that he is learning more about this, he was curious about his past, even now thanks for those dreams and that weird soup.
Could it be true? That he had a family? That he lived in an entire kingdom of his kind? That maybe...just maybe... they remember him? Well, no one would notice a lost little draconequus in an entire land of them, but maybe... his parents would.
"All this time I thought I belong in Equestria, but it appears that there's another place where I could have a real family." said Discord with hope. He wasn't the "family" type, but it was because he never got one. Only his friends, but he wanted to know how it was to be with other draconequuses. But he also liked to be with his friends, even now that they truly accepted him for who he was. He needed to know where he belong.
He keep walking, not in the mood for floating, and found a lake. He started to throw some rocks in it.
I have never dreamed a place to call home now this unusual dream gave me a spark of hope. Maybe in that place there's someone missing me and my heart's trying to tell me that's the place i'm meant to be!
Discord started to walk around the lake and to climb a big tree near to him. He has to admit, Luna made a great job with the stars that night.
How will I find out my real past? Should I go alone? After all, it's my life. But if there's anything friendship has taught me friends are like family, but It's here where I belong?
After his small song, Discord decides to walk in the streets of Ponyville, looking families sleeping but happy and together. A few minutes later, he decided to go to Sugar Cube Corner, maybe Pinkie Pie was up, but even if she wasn't he will take a cupcake anyway.
Before, he could get inside, a little light caught his attention. He get inside and in silent, he watched how a mare, a stallion and two little foals were getting hot near the fire of their chimney, and reading stories for the little ones; happy and full of love. They were The Cakes.
In that minute, something in Discord's chest light up. Something was missing. Now he understand friendship, he could understand the importance of a family too. He didn't know it before, but he did want a family.
He has finally found friends, why can't he try to found his origins. He just had to do it! He always knew that he didn't belong in Equestria, but his friends have finally accepted him. But now, with their help, he could found his family!
It was settle! He first have to be sure where to look. He will tell his friends tomorrow.
I will find out my real past! I was once alone But that has change at last. I know it'll be hard but I'm sure I can. I'll do whatever it takes to be where I belong!
Discord started to walk, because he was thinking of what he was going to do, but then he heard something, behind the trees. He turned to see what was but nothing was there. He walked again and, again, he heard something in the trees.
"Hello...?" He asked.
The noise become louder, and was getting closer.
"I'm not afraid of you!" shouted Discord, before standing in four legs. "Show yourself!"
After a few seconds, there was Princess Luna, walking in front to be seen.
"Hello Discord." She said.
"Uff... Luna. You worried me for a second." said Discord.
"I thought you just said you wasn't afraid of me."
"Well, I didn't know it was you and..." paused Discord. "Wait... what are you doing here anyway? I mean, I know it's night already but... were you following me?"
"Actually, I was on my way to your 'thinking tree' to inform you something, but then I saw you walking through the woods." said Luna. "May I ask why?"
Discord stand there, thinking of what to say, rubbing his back. Then he said "I just... was... um... walking?"
Luna raised an eyebrow, and then smiled. "I think you want to say 'singing'?"
Discord's eyes turned wide, and then frown showing his teeth. "You... mean... you... saw... me... SINGING!!!"
Luna smiled a little more. "Yes, but you have to know I didn't mean to. I was just looking for your tree but then I heard your voice, and if I'm not wrong, I could be sure you're still worried about where you belong."
Discord crossed his arms and answered. "No. You are wrong because I know where i belong." he rubbed the back of his neck. "Well, sort of. But don't change the idea. What is it that you have to inform me about?"
Luna turned around, with a serious face, and then faced Discord with a worried look.
"What is it?" asked Discord.
"My sister and I found some 'chaotic' situations going on in the far lands of Equestria, like in the boarder of our kingdom. It appears that a 'creature' was having fun in there."
Discord looked at Luna with his mouth open, and then shouted. "Seriously!?!?! AFTER THE HOLE TIREK ACCIDENT, AFTER A HOLE YEAR AND AFTER I ASKED YOU FOR HELP, YOU STILL THINK THAT...!!!!!"
Luna quiet him putting her hoof in his mouth.
"I never said it was you, Discord." said Luna.
"Oh..." said Discord after Luna removed her hoof. "Then, if it wasn't me and you're saying that were chaotic powers like mine, then what do you mean?"
Luna look at him with a worried face and then answered.
"My guards of the night went to see what was going on and they told me that it wasn't you who was doing all that. It appears that it was... another draconequus."
Discord stay there, just staring at Luna, blinking two times. Finally, after a few seconds, he opened his mouth to speak and said: "What...?"
Luna, with an eyebrow up, answered "Um... I thought you'll scream or something but, yes, it appears that there is another draconequus here in Equestria, a draconequus just like you. With chaotic powers, different parts of different animals but it haven't leave that part of Equestria. That's why I came to tell you this, because I thought that you would like to see this other draconequus for yourself."
Discord's mouth fell, literally,to the ground when Luna finished that sentence. He couldn't believe it! And just when he finally decided to look out for his kind, another draconequus came. But, why? The only way to figured it out was to go to find it.
Discord jumped of happiness so high that shocked Luna, even more when she saw Discord dancing a solo in the dark sky. When he landed, after five minutes, he hugged Luna so tight that she turned purple of lack of air.
"THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!" said Discord. "Luna, maybe you won't believe this but I already knew that there were more draconequus, but I DIDN'T KNOW THAT ONE WAS HERE!!!"
He let Luna go, who was breathing fast to get some lost air.
"How did... 'cough'... knew... 'cough'... that... you... already...'cough'... knew... about this?" asked Luna, still breathing hardly.
"Well, you see, it's a long story." After telling her the whole soup thing and the weird dream or vision, Luna understood and, after taking air again, said.
"Well, I'm glad to hear that. So, you're going to tell the girls tomorrow." she asked.
"Um... yes, sure. They're my friends, aren't they?" answered Discord, before yawn. "You know, it'a kind of late. I don't sleep during day like you, you know. Good night Lulu, and thanks for the information."
With that, he snap his fingers, before Luna could say something else. She rolled her eyes and said. "Good night Discord." She flied to the castle in Canterlot.
"Discord?"
Discord thought he has heard his name, but he was too tired to open his eyes so he just ignore the sound.
"He doesn't wake up Rainbow."
"Well, plan B."
Before Discord could say something, a splash of water woke him up before an empty bucket landed in his head. Discord cried of pain screaming: "OWWW!"
When he got the bucket off his head, he could see Rainbow Dash, laughing, and Fluttershy, with her hooves in her mouth, flying next to him. Discord narrowed his eyes to the two pegasus.
"Hahaha, very funny Rainbow Dash. And you Fluttershy?"
"Sorry, I didn't know what Plan B meant"
Rainbow got a tear out of one of her eyes.
"But, you must admit IT WAS funny!"
Discord glared at the mare, but then he chuckled too.
"Yeah, it was funny. Anyway, thanks for waking me up but why did you do it so early?"
The two pegasus looked at each other with wide eyes, and the turned to Discord again.
"Uh, Discord, it's already noon. That's why we came, to see why were you still sleeping at this hour." said Rainbow Dash.
"Yes. Usually at this time, you visit me or take walks around Ponyville to see what we are doing. We didn't see you all day so Rainbow and I woke you up." said Fluttershy. "Is everything all right?"
"Do you still have those dreams?"
Then Discord remembered his talk with Luna last night. There was other draconequus and he has to find him, but he wasn't sure if he will need his new friend's help. This was his business, and he should find his family alone. But, how would he tell them?
"Um, no. But I've got something to tell you. Please, could we all go to Twilight's castle?"
Rainbow and Fluttershy have a bad feeling about this, but they still agree.
"Ooookay, so let us get this straight Discord." said Twilight. "Last night, you had a talk with Princess Luna..."
"...She told ya that there was another draconequus in Equestria..." said Applejack.
"...thing that by the way, IT'S AMAZING..." screamed Pinkie Pie
"...and now that you discovered that you actually want a family..." said Rarity
"...you are gonna to find this draconequus in the outlands of Equestria..." said Rainbow Dash
"...to ask him, or her, where are the rest of you now..." said Spike
"...AND ALL BY YOURSELF?!?!" asked finally Fluttershy.
After, Discord told what happened last night, and listening to his friends, each one sit on their own thrown, he just struggled.
"Uh, yeah. That's pretty much the idea." said Discord rubbing the back of his neck.
" Discord look, it's great that there's another one like you, but you said that Luna told you that him or her it's causing chaos in Equestria. What if it wants to take over the land just like you wanted once? Are you sure about this?" asked worried Twilight.
"Look, I know it's risky but I have to do this. Please, I promise nothing bad will happen. I thought that you finally trust me!" said Discord.
"We do trust ya sugarcube." said AppleJack.
"But we can't let you do this alone." said Fluttershy.
"If you go, then we're going too!" said Rainbow Dash.
"Yeah! I always wanted to see another draconequus!!!" said Pinkie. "Well, at least since I knew there was another one"
Everypony was exciting about this, until they heard a whistle.
"Ladies, ladies, listen. I appreciate your help, but I can handle this myself. Besides, it's a 'family' thing or something like that." said Discord leaving, near the door.
"Wait a minute!"
Before he knew it, Rainbow Dash was standing right in front of him.
"Why can't we help you?" she asked.
"Discord, just because we're friends, doesn't mean we can't help you with your ' family' or species problem." said Twilight.
"But I thought that friends and family are two different things." said Discord. "And besides, I'm the Master of Chaos. I can handle anything!"
"We know you can Discord, but your friends are always there for you, and especially in this situation." said Fluttershy.
"It's like when I went to see a hole family of dragons to find where I belong but then, when I discovered the truth, i needed help. Luckily, Twilight, Rainbow Dash and Rarity were right there for me, and just in time to be honest." said Spike.
"Discord, never doubt of the gift of friend" said Twilight.
With that sentence, Discord heard music and follow his friends to the door.
