Dimensional portals are opening up all over Equestria, and it's the Main Six's job to round up all the creatures coming out of them and get them back home. Only thing is, some of them have no plan of going back...

Kirby and his friends definitely weren't expecting this. Can they find their way home before the portals close, without leaving anybody behind? It'll be tough, but they can do it, with the help of the Main Six, right? They have to, otherwise they may never be able to get back...

A complete re-write of MS,KaF:TAtSE because I don't want to write that one anymore. This one has completely different plot, however, and that other one has nothing to do with this one.

It All Started With a Big Boom

View Online

Celestia awoke to a loud boom. As did the rest of the castle.

"Doth thou know what is happening?!" Luna shouted, as they both ran to the balcony to see what had made such a sound.

Celestia was silent for a bit, looking up at the stars. Judging their alignment, no doubt.

"I'm afraid I don't know exactly." She replied after a while. "But I do have a pretty good idea. Tomorrow morning, we must find Princess Twilight and her friends. This is an emergency."

"But if this is an emergency," Luna intervened, "Then shouldn't we go find them right away?"

"Luna, it's too late to go and wake them up."

"Not if the boom woke them already!"

"Luna, no. Morning."

"It's one o'clock, you know. It technically is morning."

"... Why does your logic have to make sense?"

"So are we going?"

Celestia smiled, casting a glance at her sister. "... Why the hay not?"

...

Twilight had indeed awoken from the boom, and now she and Spike were in front of the 'Golden Oak Castle,' as they called it, staring up at the sky.

"What was that?!" Spike asked, panicked. "Did something explode?!"

"I don't think so." Twilight replied cautiously. "If it had, we would see smoke or something, right?"

"Ooh! Maybe-some-sort-of-alien-crashed-his-starship!"

Apparently, Pinkie Pie knows how to sneak up next to someone without them noticing. Unfortunately, that meant that Spike and Twilight almost had a simultaneous heart attack.

"Pinkie Pie!" Twilight yelped, spinning around to face the earth pony. "Don't do that! You scared me!"

"Do what?"

That voice came from above. Twilight looked up to see Rainbow Dash flying there. Luckily, she wasn't much of a surprise after what had happened with Pinkie.

"Oh, hiya Dashie!" Pinkie greeted. "I was just talking to Twilight about how the boom could've been made by a alien crashing his ship."

"Aliens?!" Dashie echoed, her eyes wide. "Wow..."

"There's no such thing as aliens." Twilight interjected. "There's no proof!"

"No proof o' what?"

Applejack had appeared, along with a shaking Fluttershy.

"Aliens!" Twilight almost shouted. "There's no proof of aliens!"

"Why are you shouting about aliens?"

Seems like Rarity decided to show up too.

"Because they don't exist!" Twilight moaned, face-hoofing to emphasize it.

"That doesn't make any sense, you know." Rarity replied, raising an eyebrow.

"Exactly!" Spike smiled, making Twilight groan in frustration.

You know, for best friends, they have fights over the strangest of things.

Before anypony could utter another word, a bright light appeared nearby.

"ALIENS!" Dashie shouted, hiding behind Pinkie Pie.

"There's no such... Thing?" Twilight smiled nervously, stepping back. "Stay calm! I'm sure there's a logical explanation!"

Suddenly, a big voice boomed out of the fog that had... suddenly appeared...

"PRINCESS TWILIGHT!"

Twilight froze. The... alien knew her name?!

"THIS BE AN EMERGENCY! WE NEED THOU-"

"Luna, stop shouting, please."

"Oh, sorry."

The fog disappeared as Rainbow Dash flew out of behind Pinkie, and Luna and Celestia were relieved from it.

It took Twilight and the others a moment to figure out what had happened.

"... LUNA?! AND CELESTIA?!"

Celestia nodded.

"Indeed, Twilight." She said, voice calm. "We need your help. I'm afraid we have a big problem."

Twilight didn't answer, at first. She just twitched, which kind of unnerved everybody.

"What kind of problem?" She eventually whispered. "I can bring my friends along to help, right? RIGHT?!"

She shouted that last part, making everybody jump back a little. And making Fluttershy almost faint.

Celestia calmly smiled. "Yes, Twilight, of course. In fact, I want all of you to come, including your pets. It is not a hard task, not unless you let it go out of hoof."

Everybody sighed in relief, except for Pinkie Pie, who squealed. But then Applejack thought of something.

"Why would we need ta' bring our pets?" She asked. "Do we really have to?"

Luna shrugged. Or at least, shrugged as good as a pony is able to. "I don't know what's going on either."

"But you were the one shouting the most!" Spike accused.

Luna shrugged again. "I like shouting, okay?!"

The others stared at her for a bit.

"What?" She asked angrily, getting a bit freaked out.

"You... like shouting?" Rainbow asked after a bit more silence.

"Yeah, but-"

"Luna." Celestia said sternly. "Can I continue?"

"...Sorry."

"It's fine, Luna." Celestia sighed. She then turned to Applejack.

"We need your pets because this mission may very well be a round-up mission. The stars have aligned in a certain way; a way I haven't observed for 900 years. Last time they lined up like this, a series of portals appeared, and out of it came a bunch of small, plantlike, multi-coloured creatures. They tried to attack ponies, but one pony -who I believe was your great, great, great Grandma, Pinkie Pie- found a special whistle and herded them back home."

Pinkie Pie started jogging on the spot in excitement. "OOH! Just like the parasprites! Only Pikmin!"

"Pik-what?!" Rainbow asked, flying above the pink pony.

"Nevermind..." Pinkie smiled, walking slowly away from the scene. Applejack grabbed her tail before she absconded away.

"We'll be right on it!" Twilight smiled, spreading her wings out triumphantly. "Just..."

She looked back at Spike, who had fallen asleep on the floor.

"... Just give us until morning. I think we all need some sleep."

"Very well." Celestia smiled. "When you're all ready, meet me in Canterlot. I'll try to track down the first of the portals. When I find one, I'll teleport you all there. You will need to make sure nothing escapes our grasp."

The friends nodded in agreement.

"Will do."

"Absolutely."

"Yeah!"

"Um... okay..."

"Hehehehehe!"

"It'll be our pleasure, princess."

Celestia nodded, and Luna started casting a teleportation spell for both of them.

"See you in the morning, then."

And with that, the two were gone.

When Things Start to go Wrong

View Online

In the middle of the mountainside between Canterlot and Las Pegasus, a small ship lay. Inside that ship; an alien.

The alien was rather strange looking. He was small and cat-like, only instead of paws he had two gloved hands floating by his sides. He wore a blue hood which covered his ears, and the hood was decorated with white and gold, with a particularly pretty gold cog-shape around the opening. Attached to the hood was a white scarf which covered the alien's mouth. Wrapped under the scarf, with a little bit poking out, was a blue collar that buckled together at the front. Attached to the collar was a white cape with gold ends. And, last but not least, the main part of his ball-like body was covered in a sort of bodysuit, a blue one with a gold cog pattern like his hood, and lined with a royal purple.

The little alien tapped a key on the main keyboard of his spaceship. Nothing happened. He tried again. Still nothing.

He sighed, resting his head on the keyboard. The keyboard had, by now, figured out the difference between him typing and him sleeping on it, so it didn't do anything. Not that it would anyway. Even though it could still take commands and write down notes, there was one fatal thing missing. The engine.

The alien slammed his hand down on the keyboard in frustration.

"No, no, nonoNO!" He cried. "Why?! H-how did this happen? Wh-where even am I...?"

The ship took that as an order. "Master Magolor is in an unknown universe; 500 light years away from Popstar."

Magolor got up and slammed his hands on the keyboard. "I know that, Lor!" He cried, eyes tearing up. "B-but h-how?!"

The Lor pulled out a metal hand, gently patting Magolor's head. The alien slowly dissolved into a purring heap on the keyboard.

Worked every time.

"The locals call this place Equestria." She noted. "The place seems to be inhabited by four legged, hooved creatures, some with wings, some with magic, some with both, and mostly female."

"Female…" Magolor was getting sleepy. Head pats could do that to you. He yawned softly, shaking his head. "Nevermind. Lets just go to sleep… We can explore in the... Morning..."

"...Why does everything always have to go wrong?..."

oOo

It was four o'clock when Twilight and her friends arrived in Canterlot. Four in the morning, that is.

"Oh-my-gosh-I'm-so-excited-oh-my-gosh-I'm-so-excited-oh-my-gosh-I'm-so-excited-I SHOULDN'T HAVE EATEN THAT ENTIRE CAKE!"

Those where the first words Luna heard when she greeted them as they came through the door, one by one.

"You're up a bit early, aren't you?" She smiled at the hyperactive pink pony who was bouncing in front of her. Gummy was struggling to keep a hold of her mane.

"Pinkie Pie dragged us here early." Rainbow moaned, flying above said pony. "She couldn't wait, apparently…"

Tank was held between Rainbow's front hooves. He was inside his shell, obviously still asleep.

Applejack was next through, and she was practically dragging her head on the ground.

"I'm so sentenced I ain't even tired properly." She mumbled, walking past the princess.

Winona was barking madly as she followed her master, both trying to wake her up and scold Pinkie for their early wake up call.

Rarity followed behind, but her face was covered entirely by a purple scarf and a pair of black-rimmed sunglasses. Opal sat lazily on her back.

Fluttershy was dragging herself along near the ground by her wings. She seemed to be sleeping, but her wings were still working. Angel was on her head, thumping his foot furiously to try and wake her up.

Lastly came Twilight, who was half asleep and pulling a baby carriage containing a sleeping Spike inside it behind her. Her hair was completely messed up, and she had heavy bags under her eyes.

"We're heeeere…" She drawled. "Leeeeet's get moving…."

Luna giggled. "Pft, you guys are almost worse than my sister. Almost…"

"Whadda-ya-mean?" Pinkie asked. "Is something wrong with the princess?!"

"Yes… and no. You'll see." Luna winked, leading them into the throne room.

As soon as the doors opened, the six (not including the pets or sleeping ponies) saw Celestia with her back to them. She seemed to be casting some sort of spell.

Twilight was about to approach her and ask her how she was, but Luna blocked her with a wing.

"My sister needs to concentrate, Twilight." She whispered. "She's very tired after last night, too. I'd suggest not talking to her; she's not much of a morning pony."

Twilight would've cleaned out her ears if she wasn't so surprised at what she had just heard. "I'm sorry... The princess of the sun is not a morning pony?!"

Luna shushed her, walking forward towards the white alicorn. "Sister, thou has guests. Doth thou think thou can take a second to--"

Celestia looked back at them, and Luna cut off the rest of her sentence. Celestia's eyes had bags under them matching Twilight's, and her expression was a mix of annoyed, tired, and "I am going to kill you for doing this to me."

"Hold on a second." She mumbled, going back to casting her spell. "I think..."

A ball of bright light suddenly appeared on the end of her horn. That woke everybody up. Twilight ran around to see Celestia's face, only to find her with a blank expression and glowing white eyes.

"P-princess?" She stepped forwards to see if her mentor was alright, but Luna held her back by the tail.

"Stay away. We don't know what's going to happen next."

Celestia's spell suddenly ceased, and she collapsed onto the ground. Twilight was even more worried, and Luna finally let her go. She --as well as the rest of the Mane Six-- gathered around the princess in worry.

"Sister, are thou okay?" Luna asked, watching as the little fillies stared at her sister in concern, waiting for an answer.

Celestia's eyes fluttered open. "Cloudsdale." She muttered. "The next portal is in Cloudsdale..."

"Princess, what were you doing?" Twilight asked, helping her up. "What kind of spell was that?"

"I was using my magic to figure out where the next portal would open." Celestia replied, managing to sit up. "I did this by casting a spell that would find substances of powerful magic, like the magic created by the portals. But since the other portal already closed, it was quite hard to do since the magic only becomes apparent right before the portal appears, but there' no knowing when the portal appears, if that makes sense... So I was casting the spell all night, because it is necessary that we get to it right away to make sure none of the creatures escape. Got that?"

Everybody nodded.

"Understood!" Rainbow smiled. "But... just in case... repeat-it-all-again-I-wasn't-listening."

"So pretty much," Applejack thought about this for a moment. "You're saying that you were usin' a spell ta locate the portal, but since there was no portal, you had to wait until a new one appeared for the spell ta work, right?"

"Exactly." Celestia smiled. "It takes a lot out of me though, especially since I was holding it for such a long time. It doesn't help that I didn't get any sleep... I'm just upset because there's likely to be more than one portal, so I'll have to do the spell again..."

"It's alright, sister." Luna said, nuzzling her sister's muzzle to comfort her. "You just go to sleep, and the Element Barers and I shall sort everything out."

Celestia smiled, lying down where she was. "A little nap couldn't hurt, I suppose..."

A few seconds later, the sun princess was asleep.

"Alright now." Luna whispered. "I shall teleport you all to Cloudsdale. You know what to do from there."

The Mane Six nodded.

"We won't let you down!" Pinkie Pie said confidently.

And so, with one final goodbye to the sleeping princess, the seven ponies, their pets and Spike were teleported to Cloudsdale.

Carrots, Clouds and Cages

He awoke on a very fluffy thing. He called it a thing because he honestly didn't know what it was. Eyes still closed, he thought.

What could possibly be this fluffy? Maybe Tokkori fluffed the pillow? It felt like he was sleeping on a cloud...

"Hey, look at this thing!"

Kirby's eyes finally opened, revealing to him that he on fact was sleeping on a cloud. But the only question was; how? He was lying in his bed next to his roommate Tokkori a few... Somethings ago! How did he get here?!

As he sat up, he noticed two more things standing in front of him. Two ponies, stallions, actually. One with a brown coat and one with a grey coat. And both with wings.

"Hey look, Hoops! It's awake!" The grey one smiled. Kirby began to worry a bit. The stallion's smile was not a nice one, but a mischievous one.

"Heheh, awesome!" The brown stallion replied. "What do you wanna do with it?"

Kirby's eyes widened. Do? He wasn't a thing to be played with!

It was obvious to him now. These weren't friends.

He stood up, glaring at them, judging whether or not he would be able to inhale them.

Barely, he decided. If he used his super inhale, he should be able to suck them both up at the same time.

He stepped back, about to attack, when he heard an almost heavenly voice come from behind them.

"Boys, thou shall leave that creature alone. This is a royal duty, and we can't have thou frightening off the thing we're meant to capture!"

The two boys turned around, blocking the person from Kirby's view.

"Ah, princess Luna! And Twilight! We're so sorry!" The grey one chuckled. "We were just leaving!"

"But--"

"Leaving, Hoops!"

The two stallions flew off, giving Kirby a view of the heavenly creature...

... And the Mane Six plus Luna plus the no-longer-sleeping Spike a view of Kirby.

"Aw, look at that thing!" Pinkie giggled. "It's so cute!"

The others smiled, and Twilight turned to Fluttershy. "You know what to do."

She then turned to Applejack. "If that doesn't work, begin the roundup."

Applejack saluted her. "Aye aye, captain!"

Kirby watched in fear as Fluttershy tiptoed towards him. he tried to back away, but a wall of cloud was stopping him from doing so.

"Don't worry." Fluttershy crooned."We're not going to hurt you! We just wanna help."

She stopped around a meter or so away from him. "Are you hungry, little one?"

Rarity passed her a carrot using her magic, which Fluttershy took by grabbing the leaves on her mouth. Kirby still pressed himself up against the wall as the Pegasus drew nearer.

"Uh, Flutters?" Rainbow Dash whispered. "I don't think that this is working."

Fluttershy was determined, however. She dropped the carrot on the ground. "I know what's going on. You don't know if you can trust me. Well then..."

She took a small bite out of the carrot. "See? It's not poisoned."

Kirby was still reluctant, but stepped forwards anyway.

"There we go." Fluttershy smiled, rolling the carrot towards him.

Kirby stared at the carrot that was lying at his feet for a few seconds, before picking it up. He had no teeth to chew with, so he simply put it on his mouth and swallowed.

The seven ponies (and Spike) seemed to light up.

"You see that?" Spike smiled, nudging Luna. "Fluttershy can handle any animal! And you had doubts."

Luna rolled her eyes. "You would too, if she almost fainted the first time you tried to talk to her."

Fluttershy nodded at Pinkie. "Your turn."

Pinkie hopped forwards, a big smile on her face. "Hey little guy! My name's Pinkie Pie!"

Kirby smiled a bit. What could he say? Smiles are catchy.

"Now, I know we may seem scary because there's a lot of us, but trust me, there's nothing to be afraid of!"

She turned around, pointing to her friends.

"Okay, so the pretty purple princess is Twilight Sparkle, the wonderful white unicorn is Rarity, the brilliant blue Pegasus is Rainbow Dash, the Pegasus you just met was Fluttershy, the outstanding orange pony is Applejack, the dangerous-not-so-dangerous baby dragon is Spike, the princess of the night is princess Luna, the bunny is Angel, the dog is Winona, the cat is Opal, the owl is Owloysius, the turtle is Tank, and my little crocodile is called Gummy! He has no teeth!"

She turned back to the now confused Kirby, her smile as wide as ever. "Got that?"

Kirby slowly shook his head as a 'no'.

Pinkie stepped a step closer. "Now, listen, little guy. We don't wanna hurt ya! We just wanna be your friends!"

She put her hooves out to the sides. "Whaddaya say? Give me a hug do I can prove we mean no harm? Unless you're evil and want to take over Equestria, because in that case we might have to use the no-longer-actually-existing Elements of Harmony on you, but I highly doubt that something as cute as you is evil."

That time, even the rest of the Mane Six had to take a few seconds to figure out what she said.

Kirby, having figured out what she meant, slowly stepped forwards, until he was right next to her. Then, after only a bit of hesitation, he leaned into her and hugged her with his tiny little paws.

Pinkie hugged him back, and the other six ponies had to stifle an "aaaw" from escaping from their mouths at the cute sight.

They hugged for a few moments before Pinkie let go. Kirby smiled at her, his blue eyes twinkling with happiness. It felt good to be able to find a friend so easily.

"Come on now, little one!" Pinkie giggled, turning around. "Do ya wanna ride on my back while we go looking for your friends?"

Kirby nodded happily, jumping onto the pink pony's back. As soon as he did, however, he was picked up by a glowing magenta aura. He wriggled around as he was lifted into the air, but couldn't get himself down.

The rest of the Mane Six looked at Twilight with sad eyes. Even Luna seemed disappointed.

"What?" Twilight asked. "It's all going according to plan! We'll just put him in the cage at my house and we'll be ready to get the next one!"

The other's looked at the ground. Well, the cloud beneath their hooves, to be exact.

"I know we went through the plan before we got here..." Rainbow started saying. "...But..."

Twilight raised an imaginary eyebrow. "Yes?"

"And you did say that not following it precisely could lead to serious problems..." Pinkie continued, before fading off.

Twilight was getting annoyed. "Yes, yes I did say that. What are you trying to say?"

"I think what Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie are trin' ta say is..." Even Applejack couldn't find the words.

"That perhaps you are being... j-just a tad..." Rarity bit her hoof in an unladylike manner.

"A tad what?!"

"Maybe you want to... I mean, it's just an idea b-but..." Fluttershy's stuttering was barely audible under the cloud of annoyance that had rose above Twilight Sparkle. It was almost visible.

"We think you should change the plan!" Spike blurted out, covering his mouth immediately afterwards.

Twilight was silent for a moment, but started chuckling nervously soon after. "What do you mean, guys? It's the perfect plan! Why would we need to change it?"

Even the pets seemed to be giving her a look of disappointment.

"Twilight." Luna sighed. "We do not find it right for thou to manipulate such a small and cute creature. We want thou to at least give them a chance."

Twilight's expression softened to something sad. "B-but..."

"Twilight, as your friends, you know that we only want the best to happen to you." Rarity smiled, placing a hoof on the alicorn's shoulder to comfort her. "And you know we definitely approved of your plan in the first place and admire your planning abilities... But since this... creature can now be considered our friend too, however, I do believe we should treat it like one."

Twilight sighed, but smiled. "You're right, Rarity. I was wrong, okay? I'll let him go."

Of course, she was a little disappointed about her plan being changed, but her friends did have a point. She put Kirby down on the ground gently. "Sorry for almost locking you in a cage. Do you forgive me?"

Kirby smiled, rubbing the back of his head. "Of course, poyo! You did say I was your friend, after all! And friends forgive each other!"

He suddenly noticed the horrified look on the ponies' faces. "What, poyo? Something the matter?"

It took a while for anybody to reply, and of course it had to be Pinkie Pie who ended up doing it.

"YOU CAN TALK!"

Discordiant Discovery

Kirby shrunk backwards. The sudden outbreak when he spoken from the ponies definitely wasn't expected.

Who knew that talking was such a big deal?

"Y-yeah! I can, poyo!" He smiled nervously. "W-why? Is that a problem, poy?"

"No, it's awesome!" Pinkie smiled. Her smile was somehow even bigger than before. "Now we can talk together and you can tell us all about yourself!"

"Oh my goodness." Twilight put a hoof to her mouth in shock. "If I had known you were intelligent, I wouldn't have even suggested that we put you in a cage! I'm so sorry!"

"Aw, it's alright, poyo. Twilight, is it? Trust me, I've had more than a few misunderstandings in my time. Meta is always saying I could speak up more often. He says it can prevent a lot of problems, and I'm starting to think he might be right..."

He trailed off, a paw on his 'chin' as if he was thinking about that very hard.

"What is thy name, little one?" Luna asked, lowering her head so she was on his level. "We cannot simply call you 'Creature' now that we know thou can speak!"

Th puffball smiled, jumping up and hitting his chest. A small star bounced off him, making Rarity squeal.

"My name is Kirby, poyo!" He grinned. "Hero of Dream Land and protector of Gamble Galaxy! But just Kirby is fine, poy."

"Aw, that's such a cute name!" Applejack smiled. "Suits a cute little critter like you."

Kirby shuffled his feet, looking down. "Aw, thanks~!"

"Hey!" Pinkie Pie turned around, shaking her tail at him. "Wanna actually ride on my back this time? We're going to find your friends!"

Kirby was confused. "My... friends? They're here?! 'Kori and Bandy and Meta?"

Pinkie giggled. "I don't know who they are, but trust us! We'll bring you to princess Celestia and then she can explain!"

Kirby smiled, hopping up onto Pinkie's back. "What are we waiting for, poyo? Let's go!"

"Let'sa go!" Pinkie smiled.

Shaking her head with a smile, Luna called the others around her, and they teleported back.

"Please?"

"No."

"But I helped you! I got rid of your tiredness!"

"And I'm sworn to confidentiality, Discord."

The draconequus frowned, crossing his arms. "You're no fun, Tia."

Celestia smiled, chuckling a bit. "And you're too much fun, my little Dissy-Wissy."

Discord couldn't help but smile a bit at the pet name. "Well, in that case, I'm going to find out myself. Goodbye, my little sun goddess!"

He blew a kiss --quiet literally-- at Celestia, who caught it with her magic before it could land on her.

"I love you too." She whispered, smiling as she held the kiss close to her. Discord smiled even wider, before teleporting out of the building.

... And of course the others teleported in instantly afterwards. Celestia quickly put the kiss under on of the pillows on the throne.

"Luna." She said, clearing her throat as she wiped the smile off her face. "Did you find any...thing..."

She soon spotted Kirby, who had jumped off Pinkie Pie's back. The little puffball stared back at her for a moment, before realizing that this was the princess and bowing.

"Kirby of the Stars, at your service, princess Celestia!" He said, not sure whether or not to straighten up.

Celestia stared at Kirby, shocked and surprised. Not only was a small creature from another universe bowing at her, but he was speaking and somehow knew her name.

After a few moments of silence, Kirby straightened up. "Um... my new friends here told me that you could help me find my friends, poyo... D-do you know where they are?"

Something clicked in the princess' brain. Their whole world revolved around the magic of friendship, and now her student had somehow shared it with this little pink ball!

"No." She answered honestly. "I don't. Not exactly."

She then began to explain everything to him. How the stars had aligned and the portal opened. How the boom woke them up. How Kirby's other friends --and possibly some of his enemies-- would come through the many appearing portals, and they had to get them all back before the last portal closed.

"In fact, we're lucky." She said. "The last portal stays open for three whole days before it closes for another 900 years. I think we should have around two weeks until then. Minus a day or two."

Kirby nodded, taking it all in. So... if we don't go through the portal, we're stuck here."

"Indeed."

Kirby jumped up. "Well, I'm not going to let that happen, poyo! Let's go find my friends!"

"Wait."

Luna stepped in front of the group. "It's rather early in the morning, little fillies... and colts. Five o'clock, actually. Wouldn't you like to have something to eat before we head off?"

Celestia's stomach growling answered that question.

"I'll get you something to eat." Luna nodded, heading towards the kitchen.

"So, what do we do until then?" Rainbow Dash asked.

Applejack sighed. "We wait."

Discord frowned. He could feel a magical disturbance somewhere, but he didn't know where. So, he just kept on looking until he found something.

And by looking, I meant teleporting around every second until something caught his eye.

And by something, I mean a big, blue spaceship.

"Wow. Woooow." He smiled, poking it. "Is this what little Tia was trying to hide from me? She could do better to hide it, but how can I complain? This is marvelous! I wonder what's inside!"

He knocked on the door, and with a small moment of hesitation, it opened.

The Lor was shocked at the appearance of this creature. If he would help Magolor, she would allow it, but if not...

... Discord would be in for a surprise.

The draconequus flew over to the little sleeping alien, hovering above him. "My, my, what do we have here?"

He picked Magolor up, taking a closer look at him. Magolor's ear twitched, but he didn't wake up.

Discord suddenly felt a bit of adoration for the alien. He reminded him of one of Fluttershy's little pets; small and helpless, but oh, so cute!

He held Magolor close to him like a baby, rocking him back and forth. "Now... what in Equestria are you?" He whispered. "You're like nothing I saw before... I wonder just how much chaos you could create. What should I call you--"

He didn't finish his sentence, because just then, Magolor woke up.

Royal Mishaps

"Meta Knight!"

Bandanna Dee ran into the courtyard after the knight. Meta turned as he heard his name, confused as to why the king's personal guard wasn't asleep. It was six o'clock-ish, after all.

"Bandanna." He replied. "Why are you up at this hour? What is it you so desperately need?"

"Hold on... g-give me a sec..." The Waddle Dee adjusted his trademark bandanna, still panting from the running. "Need to... catch my breath..."

Meta waited. But no matter how long he waited, nothing would prepare him for these next two words.

"Kirby's missing!"

Meta drew a blank on that sudden outburst. "Come again? Kirby... is missing?"

Bandanna nodded. "Since morning! Tokkori heard a weird sound this morning at four-ish, and when he woke up, Kirby was gone! We've been looking everywhere all morning!"

Meta Knight stood still for a moment, staring at the Waddle Dee. "I'll go get the guards."

"I'll get the king." Bandanna nodded, running away again.

Meta Knight wrapped the Dimensional Cape around himself, and teleported off.

Magolor squeaked as he saw Discord. I say squeaked because even though it was going to be along the lines of a scream, Discord had covered his mouth with his paw.

"Mph! MmmmmMMMHP!"

Discord didn't know whether to be amused or downright laugh-until-he-fainted-amused. This little creature, as weird as he was, was hilarious!

"Now, don't be afraid, little one!" He smiled. "I am Discord, the God of Chaos! Well, more like the gathering and physical personification of chaos, but God has a much better ring to it, doesn't it?"

He started laughing, but his chuckles were cut off by a clicking from behind him.

"Let Master Magolor go. Now.

The barrel of some sort of... gun was looking Discord in the face as he turned around. He chuckled again, though it was a little on the nervous side.

"Oh please, random voice that came out of nowhere! I just want to be friends with this little guy! Magolor, is it? And I'm only just making sure he doesn't shout. I'm not hurting him!"

"... You may want to reconsider that statement before I shoot you with my ion cannon."

"Reconsider?"

Discord looked down at Magolor, who was seemingly trying even harder to get away. Discord let him go, though not before wrapping around him with his snakelike body. Magolor quickly tried (in vain) to escape, gasping for air.

"C-couldn't... b-breathe...." He choked out,

Discord put his hands --well I say hands, but it really is more of a paw and a...foot-- up into the air, turning back to the Lor's cannon. "Um... oops?"

The cannon started to charge up.

"How was I to know he couldn't breathe?!" Discord exclaimed. "I was just curious! Come on, I can help you! I don't exactly know what you need help with, but if you're here you must need something! I can take little Magolor here to see the princess!"

The cannon didn't stop, and was almost at full power. Discord covered his face with his arms. Of course, he could teleport away, but best to put the ship into a false sense of security.

"Lor..."

The cannon still hummed, but didn't fire. "Yes, master?"

"Don't shoot."

Though she was hesitant, the Lor soon put the cannon away. "Yes, master."

Discord dropped his arms, still wrapped around the little alien. He looked at Magolor, smiling widely. "Oh! So you'll come!"

Magolor sighed. "With the engine gone, I can't get off the ground. I'd have to go out and find it anyway, so I might as well have help from somebody who knows the land."

Discord's smile somehow got even bigger. "Yes! I'll help you find the engine! Come with me!"

He teleported a few meters away before walking out, making sure Magolor was following him. Magolor waved one last time to the Lor before following behind.

"I'll come back, Lor." He whispered. "I promise."

The Lor Starcutter sighed as soon as they left. "I hope you do, master... I hope you do..."

Magolor was rather scared, having to follow this... thing around, but he had no other choice. Besides, Discord wasn't going to hurt him, right? He seemed like a nice guy. On the inside, at least.

Discord, however, was delighted. That had gone rather easily, in fact easier than he had expected! Maybe a little too easily... But whatever. The point was, he had done it. He had found what Celestia was hiding from him. And now that he had taking Magolor away from the Lor, when Celestia came back, she'd be in for a shock.

...Or so he thought. Of course, he had no idea that Celestia wasn't hiding anything from him. But that doesn't matter. After all, maybe his little mishap will strike up some chaos!

Dedede put a flipper over his mouth, looking at Meta Knight attentively as he explained what Bandanna had told him. True, he was tired, and true, he usually didn't care about what Kirby did, but the way Meta explained it made it seem so... important.

"We have to find him." He muttered, his flipper sliding up and scratching under his crown-hat-thing. "Who knows what might happen if we don't?"

"I didn't know you cared so much about the little guy, Dedede." Escargon smiled, leaning on the arm of the throne. Dedede looked back at the snail with a slight scowl.

"I don't." He insisted. "I'm more worried about me. I mean, what if I go missing! We can't have that!"

He closed his eyes to prove his point, but as it got no reaction other then a few skeptical looks and sly smiles, he gave in. "Alright, I'm worried about him. And, I also don't want any of you to go missing, either..."

Bandanna chuckled. "Aw, I always knew you had a soft side, sire!"

Dedede smiled and chuckled softly too. "Yeah... But I can be stern too. Get all the guards and split up!" He stood up. "Search all over Popstar if you have to! Heck, search Ripple Star and even Shiver Star! We will find--"

Vwoosh!

Everybody stared at the spot Dedede once was.

"You guys saw that, right?" Escargon asked, pointing a shaking finger at the spot.

Meta Knight turned around with a flick of his cape. "Guards! The king has gone missing! We must go find him at once! Nobody is to rest until we do!"

Escargon sat down on the throne as Meta left, shell shocked.

"He just... disappeared." He said, almost not believing what he had was. "Just like that. W-where could he have gone? People don't just disappear like that, and there he went. Poof. Gone."

Bandanna went up to him, taking his hand into his paw. He didn't say anything, but Escargon appreciated the gesture all the same, and it made him smile, until he thought of one small thing.

"Who's going to be king while Dedede is gone?"
