I make a wish, and it comes true. But every cloud comes a thunderstorm. So how will I cope?
I'm Amy, a normal teenager who loves My Little Pony. When one day, I make a wish on my twelve birthday, to live in Equestria, the world that the ponies of My Little Pony calls home. Of course, one would expect it would never happen... or would it??
"Happy Birthday to you... Blow the candles!" My parents smiled. I laughed and rolled my eyes playfully, adults can be so childish sometimes.
I clasped my hands together, whispering "I wish to live in Equestria." and blew out my candles. I had started to only know this cartoon when it was halfway through Season Two. It is about a purple unicorn, who studies friendship as the show goes along, defeating various villains throughout the seasons. I had to catch up season one using youtube , as it has ended already. For now, my parents clapped happily and cut the My Little Pony cake I had requested my mother to make. We ate the delicious cake and drank refreshing ice lemon tea. Yum.
After the cake, we watched a My Little Pony movie, it was called Equestria Girls. It was about the unicorn, named Twilight, who after the end of season three turned into an alicorn as she created new magic. Apparently there was a Sunset Shimmer, a unicorn who was once Twilight's mentor's student. Her mentor was Princess Celestia, the ruler of said Equestria. Sunset had taken Twilight's crown, or tiara, and escaped into a magic mirror, that brings them to where us humans reside. My eyes were glued to the large television the whole one hour and thirty minutes, where my parents had already fallen asleep within the first twenty minutes.
After the movie, I glanced at the clock, two thirty in the morning. Wow, I thought as I woke up my parents. I returned to my room, that was filled with My Little Pony and Minecraft posters, turning on the air conditioner. I pulled up the Rainbow Dash blankets after me and fell asleep on my Pinkie Pie bed.
I woke up to see that I was not in my room. I tried get up, but fell instantly. That was when I saw a pink mare bouncing towards me.
"Oh hey! You've woken up!" She giggled, that was when realization hit me. I was in Ponyville! Or am I? My head turned slightly and I saw myself... a pegasus! I was in Equestria, but how?
"Oh! Let me explain! I saw you on the roadside late at night when I returned from my midnight deliveries and Mrs Cake said to bring you in. She let you use the guest room to sleep for the night before you return home! By the way, my name's Pinkie Pie, but you can call me Pinkie. Everyone in Ponyville calls me that. And I know your not from Ponyville, cause I know every single pony here."
Her voice continued talking when my stomach grumbled. "Oh! Your hungry! That's why I came here in the first place! Silly me. Here have a cupcake!" I took the cupcake carefully with my hoof and started to eat it. Inside was filled with oats and hay and grass. But I guess that's a pony's taste, cause it did taste pretty good. "You should fly home now, shouldn't you? Your friends must be so worried about you."
I started to panic, I had to come up with something in the meantime. "Umm... I just moved to Ponyville! Actually... I have no place to stay and no friends here at the moment..."
"Oh you poor thing, let's go meet Mr and Mrs Cake, and Pound Cake and Pumpkin Cake and all of my friends!" She headed towards the door. I knew I could not get up from the bed, I'll fall again. "Aren't you coming?" Her head tilted towards me.
"Umm... can you like... help me walk?" I asked awkwardly, a pony that can't walk? She must kidding. I thought Pinkie would say.
"You must have been so shaken your legs are shaken, and when your legs are shaken you can't walk!" She said and trotted towards me, helping me to my feet. We made our way downstairs, where Pinkie helped me most of the way.
"Say, you haven't even told me your name and where you were from." She asked me. A chill was sent down my spine, how can I tell a cartoon character, i'm from earth? And am I going to have to tell her she's a cartoon character in my world?
For now I said, " My name... is Amy and I'm from... ... ..." I tried to think hard, what could I say?
"Have you forgotten? You must have hit your head last night before I found you. Nevermind, your here now in Ponyville, and my friends and I are sure to help you." She smiled.
We reached the kitchen where the cakes were already making their sixth patch of pastries. "I see your new friend's awake." Mrs Cake said, noticing us.
"Yeah. Oh Mrs Cake this is Amy, She hit her head and lost her memory last night and can't remember where she's from!!" Pinkie said quickly, and started panting a little after.
"Oh dear, well its fine. She can stay with us for the time being, can't she, dear?" Mrs Cake asked her husband.
"Huh? Yeah, of course, of course she can." He said in a huff before returning to continue the batch of cookies.
Mrs Cake than turn to face us. "Pinkie, you'll have the day off. Let your friends meet Amy for a while."
"Okie Dokey Lokey!" Pinkie cheered, she helped me head out the door.
I met the mane six and we played games, or at least tried to in the first place. I just couldn't walk, trot or run properly in the first thirty minutes, but started to get use to it after.
Than Pinkie said, "Let's have a 'Welcome To Ponyville Party!' for Amy!"
"Yeah!" The rest agreed, and off we went to town square, getting ready for the party. By that time, I had already gotten use to my new way of walking and could run and trot.
It never hit me that my parents back at home might think i'm missing...
"Hi girls~" Pinkie greeted as we continued up the hill, where the rest of the mane six were preparing a picnic as I saw. When I saw Twilight, even though she doesn't like it, I bowed down (or at least tried to.)
"Hey Pinkie! Who's the new filly?" Rainbow asked. Pinkie told them how she found me and Twilight responded first.
"Are you sure she's safe to befriend? Her story sounds suspicious." Twilight told the rest as I looked around. From on top of the hill, the scenery was beautiful. The grass was green and soft, sprinkled with colorful flowers. Well I saw Pinkie and her friends talking, I started to help them lay down the red and white checkered mat for their picnic.
Suddenly, Applejack approached me cautiously, before asking," Where are you from?" I told her I could not remember, getting a suspicious look from Twilight. Then the farmer asked, "Do you remember any of your friends? Or your parents?" I shook my head.
"I guess all I can remember is my name." I told her. Twilight, I could tell was really getting suspicious of me. I guess AJ was too, as she kept asking me questions about my background. Rarity started trying to stop Applejack, saying that enough was enough and that I had nothing to hide. Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie nodded their heads in agreement, and Fluttershy managed to smile at me, making me that little bit more comfortable.
"You can't judge a book by it's cover, Twilight. Let her join in and will let it snowball itself from there." I heard the shy pegasus tell the friendship princess. Twilight nodded understandingly (is that a word?) and told AJ to stop and that they should just continue the picnic as planned.
"Oh... umm... I ...did not... bring extra for... Amy." Fluttershy stuttered. Applejack said that she did not bring an extra either.
"Just use a food duplication spell." Twilight said as her horn glowed and an exact same sandwich appeared. She did it with a few more of the food and wanted to lay out the mat when she realized I had already did it. We ate cheerfully after that, even though I felt Twilight's eyes on me the whole time.
After the food, we packed up and Twilight recommended reading at her library while Pinkie wanted to play the New Super Mare-rio (Mario? Mareio? Get it? ) Sisters on the Wii (help me think of a pony styled version of Wii). Rarity and Fluttershy sided Twilight well I sided Pinkie. Applejack joined me. I never knew AJ would be interested with games like Mario- or in this case- Mareio.
"Rainbow, it's all on you now." Rarity reminded RD. She was in dilemma; should she go with Twilight to read the new Daring Do book? Or Pinkie to play her game? In the end, she trotted next to Rarity. So we went to the library, where Spike was.
Twilight explained the presence of me while the rest grabbed a book and started reading. Interested, I took the first Daring Do book and started reading. It was like reading at school, the words were not to hard either. I was so obsessed with the book I did not realize that the rest were placing their books back onto the shelves half an hour later.
"Amy! Put your book back! We're going to the fields to play tag!" Pinkie called out. I got up from the couch and placed the book where I found it, before walking to where the rest were.
"Spike, you coming?" Applejack asked, Spike shook his head and said he has to clean the library. AJ nodded her head and we went straight out the door.
"Pinkie, how am I going to play tag when I can't even trot properly?" I asked the bouncing pink mare. She told me I had to 'feel it' as an instinct and winked at me. I blinked, confused.
We reached the field where Rainbow tapped me on the shoulder, "Tag! Your it!" She laughed and ran away. I tried to tag someone but they already ran away. I thought about something, my horse back riding training when I was back home. If I could ride a trotting and running horse, why can't I be one? Without much thought, I started trotting and slowly moved on to running and galloping.
"Feel the rhythm in you, Amy!" I heard Pinkie yell. I started to get use to using four legs, and of course started chasing them.
"Tag! Your it!" I tapped the unsuspecting Fluttershy, before galloping away.
After forty five minutes of tag, Rainbow Dash, panting and exhausted, suggested, " Let's play a few rounds of hide and seek!" We went to town square, where Pinkie raised a hoof and said she would be the seeker.
"20...19...18..." She counted as we ran away, looking for a hiding place. Not familiar with the surroundings, I trotted along the streets, hoping to find a hiding place. "Ready or not, here I come!" I heard Pinkie's voice echo in my ear. I galloped at full speed, finding myself at... the Ponyville school? It would have to do, I thought and hid behind the building.
"FOUND YOU!" Pinkie laughed.
"How'd you find me so quickly?" I asked, shocked.
"I saw your pink and lavender tail as I opened my eyes!" She explained. I face hooved. We made our way to fine the other ponies, which we eventually did, and since I was the first to be found, I was the seeker.
"20, 19, 18, 17, 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, ready or not, here I come!" I yelled as I made my way to look for the others.
"Wow, they are good hiders." I told myself, I haven't found a single one yet. Suddenly, I saw a streak of rainbow in the sky. Rainbow Dash! I followed the streak and it led me to... the apple family farm? I heard soft giggles near the barn and galloped there. I opened the large barn door with a hoof and noticed the mane six. "Found all of you!" I laughed.
"What took you so long? We're making dinner! A barbecue! Yummy!" Pinkie's voiced chorus. I looked over her shoulder and indeed, Twilight was setting up a barbecue. I realized the time, we've been playing all day I never realized how late it was, or how hungry I am. I looked at the table, filled with hay, grass... all foods that a pony would like and... gems? I turned around and saw Spike lighting up the grill, before placing a sapphire there.
I walked to him and asked, "You can grill those?" as my eyes looked over at the gem.
"Yep!" He replied. I got a small hooveful of wheat and placed it on the grill.
"Mmm... crispy!" I heard Pinkie say as she crunched on a cooked bacon. Wait. BACON?
"Pinkie! Your a pony! How are you eating bacon?!" I asked her.
"Ponies eat meat as well you know." She replied, before taking another bite. I glanced back at the table, and sure enough, there were also ham, bacon, hot dogs...
Pinkie suddenly announced, " Hey! Since nopony knows Amy yet, why not throw her a 'Welcome To Ponyville' party?!"
"Yeah!" The rest agreed. I laughed and said, "Thanks Pinkie, but that won't be..."
"HOW CAN A PARTY NOT BE NECESSARY?!!" She yelled. I giggled and just played along with it.
After dinner, we said our good byes and parted, with me returning with Pinkie to sugarcube corner. The cakes were already asleep, and we headed upstairs. I entered the guest room and said a quick goodnight to Pinkie, before going to sleep.
At Twilight's~~
"Dear Celestia (She made her call her only by the first name ever since Twilight became a princess),
Today I learnt that I should not judge a book by it's cover, as Pinkie brought a new filly to join us today. She says that the new filly, Amy, had hit her head and had lost her memory, she only remembered her name, and was found by Pinkie late at night, unconscious near the street. She could not even remember how to walk! I did find this suspicious, but after a day with her, it is clear she is now one of us, as a friend.
"Which color do you want?" Pinkie asked, her face leaned against mine. We were decorating for the Amy In Ponyville party and Rarity made me sit down and just tell them what I wanted and which color do I pick. I had offered to help, but Rarity lifted me with her magic and made me, or practically FORCE me to stay put on the couch. (The one she summons whenever she says something's the worst thing ever) I sighed and just played along. I told Pinkie that I'd rather Pink and Purple like me mane color, which Rarity helped to braid it. Pinkie objected and said Pink and BLUE would fit me.
"It is Amy's Party." Rarity stated.
"Girls..."
"Yeah but Blue just suits her!" Pinkie argued back.
"Girls..." Fluttershy whimpered softly in the background.
"Pinkie, it's OBVIOUS Amy wants it her mane color." Rarity coaxed.
''Girls..."
"But its OBVIOUS blue suits her better!"
"GIRLS!!" Fluttershy yelled.
"Yes, darling, I know. You agree with me don't you? That lavishing purple and pink hair. Makes me want to dye mine!" Rarity gushed.
"What if we combine pink, purple and blue? And please don't change your mane color, we like it just the way it is." Fluttershy smiled.
Pinkie and Rarity nodded their heads and started tying streamers and banners around. I shook my head playfully and looked at where Applejack and Rainbow Dash were doing. Apparently they were having a 'Who can blow the most balloons' contest. And so far, the farmer was winning by two balloons.
"How many balloons have you got there, AJ? Probably less, I've got 6 down!'' The rainbow colored mane pony said.
"That's it? Aw, Celestia. You 'r gonna hafe ta work faste' round here! I've got eight down!" The earth pony laughed. Rainbow groaned and they continued blowing the balloons.
I glanced over at Fluttershy who was trying to tie the banner that read 'Welcome to Ponyville!' onto both sides of the lamp poles. I got up to my feet- er- hooves and started to flap my wings, trying to fly up to her. I lifted myself off the ground for about a meter before falling, landing with a thud on the paved road. Rainbow and Twilight heard me and rushed to my aid.
"Are you hurt?" Twilight asked worriedly.
"Nah. I'm fine." I told them as I got back to my hooves.
"Darling, I told you to stay put. This party is meant for you, we wouldn't want you getting hurt." Rarity said and teleported me back on the couch.
"But. I. Want. To. Help!" I said as she teleports me back with every word I says.
"Alright, then. If you get hurt before the party, don't say I din't warn you." She said, unconvinced.
I smiled and got to work, helping Twilight win the crown pass out invitations for the party, it was of course, held at Sugarcube corner.
A few hours later, ponies came streaming into Sugarcube Corner. Pinkie Pie invited EVERYPONY in Ponyville. I thought nopony would come, guess they wouldn't miss a party for the world. Ponies were chatting, eating, drinking and playing. Once Pinkie was sure that everypony had came, she grabbed a microphone from no where and announced, " Welcome everypony! " She started to introduced me and Rarity levitated me up the stage. I was loss for words and just smiled. " Now, dig in!" Pinkie finished before everypony scrambled to the buffet table. I turned around and saw that Pinkie was preparing the 'Pin the Tail on The Pony' game. I trotted over and got in line.
"You don't have to queue, the party is for you." Pinkie said. I told her I would rather just queue. Rainbow heard us and Dashed over. "The party is meant for you. Your like... the VIP!" Rainbow said. I hesitated, but walked to the front of the line, where Rainbow blindfolded me and placed the tail on my hoof. Cautiously, i felt like it was the right place and pinned up the tail. I quickly untied the blindfold, to see I pinned it... right on the spot! Pinkie and Rainbow cheered heartily as I made my way over to the apple bobbing game.
Applejack and Twilight was putting back the apples when I got there. They noticed me and asked me to have a go. "Alright. What harm can there be?" I said with a shruge. I dipped my head into the water and clenched something between my teeth. I raised my head and realised that the chicken, or Boneless, Cheese gave Pinkie was in between my teeth.
"Boneless?" Applejack sounded surprised. I trotted back to the Pin the tail on The Pony game. "Ready for another round, Amy?" PINKIE ASKED Pinkie asked. (Oops. Caps lock suck.) I shoock my head and returned Boneless to her. "Oh! I was looking for him allll~~ day!" Pinkie Pie laughed. I smiled and trotted over to the buffet table.
As I slowly balanced a plate on my hoof, I heard Twilight talking behind me. "Need some help?" She asked, before levitating my plate, along with hers and helping me pick out all the food and placing them onto the plate. I thanked her and took my plate back, walking to the tables where afew other ponies were eating. I saw Fluttershy and sat next to her.
"May I join you?" I asked the timid pegasus. She nodded her head and we ate in silence.
A few hours later, ponies started dismissing themselves and the amount of them subsided, until it was only left with the girls, Spike and I. We started to pack up and clean up the place and finished forty five minutes later. I returned to Sugarcube Corner with Pinkie (Sry, we were already at Sugarcube corner. Lol) I returned upstairs with Pinkie as we waved goodbye to the rest.
"Goodnight Pinkie." I told her and I entered the guest room and went to sleep.
