A few days after the second Death Star was destroyed, Charming Thunder enters the huaman world to help Twilight retrieve her crown back from Sunset Shimmer with his powers on his side.

A celebration has begun to spread in the land of Equestria. With the second Death Star destroyed, the Lunar Republic has finally fallen and the Equestrian Empire was born.
A few days later, a droid factory that powers all of the droid forces has been reactivated by a changeling and a massive army of Equestrian troops was sent to destroy the factory.
Overwhelmed by droids, Princess Celestia has sent Charming Thunder, son of the fallen King Sombra, to help out the troops and wipe out the changeling responsible for running the factory and end the rebellion once and for all....
Four massive star destroyers flew over the Everfree forest in a blockade formation to make sure no one leaves the location. A shuttle bellow one of them flew out of the destroyer and into the forest. TIE Fighters fired as the shuttle flew past them and landed at a safe distance away from the battle that is going on. The ramp lowered and a red unicorn wearing a long black cape walked down. As he touched the surface of the forest, he looked around to see the battle progression at a massive building that is in front of him. He then began to walk to the direction of the droid factory as a trooper ran past him and got shot in the head. An officer ran next to him as the shuttle lifted off and reported, "Charming Thunder, we were ambushed upon arrival but, I have the situation well in--" He then began to get chocked by unicorn magic and got levitated off of the ground.
"I have no interest in your failures, commander," Charming Thunder said. "I'm here on a mission of my own." He then released the officer and continued to walk. He then stood behind a barricade where the troopers fired at the battle droids. He then leapt to a droid and stabbed it with his crimson blade. He blocked the laser bolts as he wiped out the rest of the droids. Once they were destroyed, he gestured the troops to move up. One of the soldiers planted a charge on the door and took cover as the charge blew up. The other soldier next the door threw a detonator and three droids blew up by it. "Your report, commander."
"Sir, we ran a scan on the building and my squad have planed to plant charges at specific locations," the commander began. "While we do that and you take care of your bug problem, try to find the data files on the droids and meet us back outside."
"Very well. I'll keep that in mind."
"Lets move out, boys." Charming Thunder walked in straight as he encountered heavy resistance along the way. Two super battle droids opened fired at him as he deflected the bolts and attacked them.
"Unicorn, whatever you want you won't find it here," a pony said as he walked out of the shadows. "Turn back."
"You cannot disguise yourself from me, changeling." The pony then transformed to its true form and blasted him. Charming Thunder then dodged and activated his lightsaber. The changeling grabbed his vibro blade and struck first. Charming Thunder blocked the strike and head butts him. The changeling tried to fly way but was caught by unicorn magic and thrown back to the ground. He then walked up to him as the changeling got up and tried to strike. Charming Thunder's strong strike made it drop its blade and pushed back to the ground. The red unicorn then levitated it in the air and threw it to a wall. He then threw it to another wall and then back to the ground in front of him. He then charged up his magic as the changeling got up and then blasted him through a door which lead him to a place he was heading. He walked up to the changeling and stood there as the changeling slowly tried to stand back up. He then levitated it in the air and chocked the changeling as he was about to finish him off. "Did Chrysalis send you to do this?"
"She would never do it since the Lunar Wars ended. So I had to- ack!"
"And now you will meet your fate. As all traitors did." As he raised his lightsaber, he heard a baby cry which caught his attention. He turned to see a changeling larva peeping out of its cradle. "A child."
"Leave him alone!!" the changeling shouted. Charming Thunder then used his magic to snap his neck and dropped him to the ground. He then deactivated his lightsaber and placed it on his belt as he walked up to the cradle. As he walked up to the young changeling, an officer along with two soldiers arrived to the scene.
"Charming Thunder," he said. He then noticed the child and ordered his soldiers to ready their weapons and aim at it. Charming Thunder used his magic to shield the cradle as the blaster bolts got deflected to the wall.
"Are you crazy, commander," he said angrily. "Ordering my troops to kill a harmless larva? WHATS THE MATTER WITH YOU!?"
"But...its a changeling larva and-"
"Yes I know. Stand down. I'll take care of this. Clear the building and get me a blanket for the child." The officer and the troops ran out of the room as Charming Thunder turned to the computer terminal and gathered what he needed. He then walked back to the changeling larva and lifted it out of the cradle. "Come with me, little fella. You'll be safe with me." He then walked out of the room with the baby changeling and as he stepped outside, the building began to explode and collapse to the ground. The officer then came to him with a blanket and the red unicorn used his magic to wrap the larva up and walked up the ramp of his shuttle. The larva nudged his chest and he began to smile at it. "Don't worry. I'll get you home soon." The ramp began to raise up and the shuttles engines began to roar. It then lifted off the ground and folded its wings then flew towards a star destroyer. Charming Thunder's mission was complete and now has to report to his aunt Celestia about the success of the mission and of the changeling larva he found.
At Charming Thunder's private quarters on the Star Destroyer, he made a call on the console to Celestia. As he waited he turned to look at the larva and became worried about it. The hologram of Celestia popped up as she said, "This is Princess Celestia. What is it?"
"This is Charming Thunder reporting. The droid factory is destroyed and the changeling responsible has been dealt with."
"Excellent, I shall call a clean up crew to deal with the debris and--"
"There has been a complication while I was there."
"And what is that?"
"The changeling was a father. His child is with me and I don't know what to do with it."
Celestia thought a moment then said, "Take the child to Chrysalis. If the changelings are about to attack, use any means necessary to get past them."
"And what of the queen? She might not be happy to see me."
"I'll let you decide."
"I'll take a ship to the kingdom immediately. And return to Rarity's boutique to watch over Sweetie Belle now that Rarity is away with my future wife to the crystal kingdom."
"Good luck." The transmission ended and Charming Thunder levitated the larva and carried it to his ship.

Charming Thunder's TIE Advanced flew to the Badlands where he sees the leftover debris from the second Death Star. Painful memories returned to him as he flew to the changeling hive. He landed in front of the entrance and popped open the top hatch and stepped out to see two changeling guards heading his way. He carried the wrapped up larva as he walked towards them. He stopped in front of them and gazed at them. The guards then stepped aside and allowed him to pass.
Charming Thunder entered the throne room where Chrysalis sat on her throne. "What is it YOU want, son of Sombra?" she asked.
"One of your changelings activated the droid factory from the Lunar Wars and tried to rebel against the Equestrian Empire," he explained.
"Then what is that you're carrying?"
"A child that belonged to him." Charming Thunder placed the larva on a step to the throne as the queen was surprised. "If it makes you any better, I will take my leave immediately.
Charming Thunder was about to leave until Chrysalis said, "Wait." He then stopped as she continued. "I know I'm going to regret saying this but, thank you and I am sorry for trying to kill you." The red unicorn turned to face the queen and walked a few steps up.
"There is no need for an apology, your highness. But I accept it for now." He then bowed to the queen and began to walk out of the room.

At the Carousel Boutique, Charming Thunder was sound asleep in his room. Sweetie Belle entered the room and jumped up his bed and shook him. "Charming?" Charming Thunder rubbed his eyes and saw Sweetie Belle standing next to him.
"What is it Sweetie Belle?" he asked.
"Will it be okay if I sleep with you for tonight? I felt lonely ever since Rarity left with her friends and...I'm scared." Charming Thunder smiled and scooted over to make space for Sweetie Belle to sleep next to him. "Thanks. You are like a good brother to me. If I had one that is." Charming Thunder closed his eyes as he smiled and began to fall asleep. Suddenly, wind began to blow in the room as he heard a voice whispering his name. He got up to look around to find the source of the wind. A portal then appeared in front of his bed and the wind began to fade away. Sweetie Belle along with Charming Thunder got out of bed and stood in front of the portal.
"Charming Thunder," the voice said. The ghostly figure of Anakin appeared next to the portal.
"Master Skywalker? What are you doing here?" Sweetie Belle hid behind Charming Thunder's hind leg and peeped her head out.
"I see you have a friend there. What's her name?"
Charming Thunder looked at Sweetie Belle and said, "Its alright, Sweetie. He's a friend of mine." Sweetie came out of hiding and stood next to him.
"Who is he?"
"I am Anakin Skywalker. A Jedi Knight. It is a pleasure to meet you."
"Me too. I would shake your...um...hand, but you are a ghost."
"Why are you here? And what is with this portal?"
"I have a task for you. Ever since you redeemed your father which was similar to how my son did, I have sensed something in you. The force is strong with you, but you are not like any Jedi I know. This portal will take you to another world where one of your friends are in a desperate situation. Something about a stolen crown."
"Twilight!!"
"Exactly. You must enter this portal and go help her get the crown back." Charming Thunder gazed at Sweetie Belle as he levitated his belt with his lightsaber connected.
Charming Thunder knelt to Sweetie Belle and said, "Sweetie, I need you to stay here okay? I might be gone for a long time and I need to do this alone."
"Please come back safely," she said as she hugged Charming Thunder's hoof. She released the hug and Charming Thunder turned to face Anakin.
"I'm ready."
"Then step in the portal. And remember, the Force will be with you. Always." The spirit faded away as Charming Thunder took a deep breath and entered the portal. He swirled inside the portal and a white light flashed and made it through the other side of the portal.

Charming Thunder's eyes slowly opened and saw the dark night sky. He then shook his head and took a look at himself. He gasped in shock as he looked at his hands. He no longer had hooves. Now he has hands with fingers. His clothing was a t-shirt with a logo similar to his cutie mark with a red short sleeved collar jacket over it. He also wore blue pants with red shoes on his feet. His hand had a glove over it as he realized something. "I wonder," he said. He slowly took off his glove and revealed his arm still the same golden self. He then puts his glove back on and stood up on his feet. He tried to keep balance as he tried to stand up. "At least I know how to stand up like Spike." he tried walking with his first step and walked towards a building. Once he arrived at the door, he opened it and the hallway had lockers on each sides of the hall and doors leading to other rooms. "Oh no. This is school all over again."
Charming Thunder continued to walk through the halls of the school when he came across a door. He opened it and the room he entered is a library. He then began to look around to see a ton of books on shelves. "It seems that this school has more books than Twilight's library," he thought to himself. He then heard a voice coming from the back of the room and began to investigate. He hid behind the shelf and peeped his head to see a girl with purple skin and the same hair color as Twilight's. Sitting next to her was a little purple puppy with green ears and hair on its head.
"So, how did your research go?" the dog said.
"I didn't know it can talk. He sounded like...Spike?"
"I found this book," Twilight said. "It's called a yearbook. It seems to be something they use to keep a record of things that have happened at the school." She then opened the yearbook and noticed something familiar in it. "Look. That's Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Fluttershy, and I'm gonna bet the girl on the far right is Rarity."
Spike grabbed the book out of the book from the girls hands and said, "There's a Rarity here!? Uh, I mean, uh... interesting photo."
"It's interesting because they look like they're friends."
"They do look like our friends. But I thought we'd figured that out already."
"No, I mean... they look like they're friends with each other. But it doesn't seem like they're friends now."
"Not so much."
"Gee. I wonder why," Charming Thunder thought to himself.
"I just can't help but get the feeling that Sunset Shimmer had something to do with it."
"Sunset Shimmer? Where have I heard that name before?"
"I wouldn't put it past her. But she wanted your crown 'cause she's planning on doing something even worse! If you're gonna stop her, you have to focus on making friends here. Can't worry about why these girls aren't friends anymore. Even if they do remind you of your Ponyville friends." Spike yawned and laid down next to Twilight.
"You're right, Spike. Eye on the prize." Spike opened his eyes for a moment and noticed someone behind the bookshelf peeping his head out. Charming Thunder then hid his head and hopes that he didn't get caught.
"Charming Thunder?" Twilight gasped and looked around.
"Are you trying to put a prank on me?" she asked.
"No. I actually saw him. I'm going to go look for him." Spike then ran off.
"Spike, wait." Twilight sighed. "Always on the move." She then got up and followed him.
Charming Thunder ran in the room and hid behind a different shelf. "Charming, where are you?" He peeped his head behind the shelf he was hiding and hid his head as Twilight entered the scene.
"Spike, this isn't funny," she said as she walked behind a random shelf. Spike came out of a bookshelf as Charming Thunder tiptoed behind him to get to the other side. Spike then turned fast and noticed him.
"Ah ha. I know I was not crazy." Charming Thunder then yelped and started to run behind the shelf he was trying to get to. Spike followed him and jumped on his back. Charming Thunder exited his hiding spot and ran to another shelf. Twilight exited a row of shelves and heard a yell and walked to the area to investigate. Charming Thunder with Spike on his back ran to the other a row of shelves below. Twilight and Charming Thunder peeped their heads behind the shelves they were at and looked around. They both then noticed each other and hid behind the shelves.
Charming Thunder ran out of the shelf as he said, "Why does this remind me of a cartoon?" Twilight jumped out of hiding in front of him as Spike stood behind him. "Well. I'm done for."
"Is it really you?" Twilight asked as she touched Charming Thunder's face and felt his hair.
Charming Thunder drooped his head as he said, "Yes." He then felt a really tight hug from Twilight and hugged her back.
"What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be at the boutique taking care of Sweetie Belle?"
"Its a long story."

"You reunited with one of the Jedi spirits that helped you?" Twilight asked. Charming Thunder, Spike and Twilight were back at the home made bed made of books as Charming Thunder explained what happened.
"Exactly," he replied. "I feel like that this is some sort of test to prove myself worthy to Anakin. I did overhear something about Sunset Shimmer. What's going on here?"
"She stole my crown and me and Spike came here to get it back. We only have three days before I have to renter the portal back to our world. I...also ran into some of my friends as I was here."
"I see. So how do you plan to get the crown back? It is an Element of Harmony after all."
"Twilight signed up to win the crown at the Fall Formal," Spike said.
"And I am guessing that Sunset Shimmer is trying to win it as well. Who knows what could happen when the crown ends up in the wrong hands."
"How do you know Sunset Shimmer by the way?"
"She and I were good friends ever since I was young." Charming Thunder yawned and noticed that Spike was asleep. "I should tell you more later. In the meantime, we should get some sleep."
"Agreed." Twilight laid down on the book bed next to Spike as Charming Thunder took off his jacket and laid down on the floor next to the bed.
Twilight woke up and rubbed her eyes and turned to notice objects floating around Charming Thunder as he was sleeping. "Uh, Charming Thunder?"
"Hm?" he mumbled.
"What are you doing?"
"Sleeping what do you mean by--" When he opened his eyes the objects that floated around him went back to the floor and was shocked with what he discovered. "I guess Anakin was right. The Force is strong with me."
"How come your magic works here if mine doesn't?"
"I'm not sure. So do you have a plan for today?"
"Fluttershy said I'd need to win over all those different groups if I wanna become Princess of the Fall Formal. So I've compiled a list of talking points."
"You made a list?" Spike asked. "That's so unlike you!" He then laughed nervously. "Uh... Please... Continue."
"I'll start introducing myself, sprinkle in some things I learned about their world into the conversation, show them how I fit in here!" She opened the doors to the hallway that is now crowded with students walking or standing at lockers. "Charming Thunder, try to keep you magic at minimum."
"Of course."
"Okay, guys. Time to make a good first impression on my fellow students. The whole world sorta depends on it." Spike hid in Twilight's bag as the group walked through the crowd. They then started to laugh as they walked in the hall. " Why is everybody looking at me funny?" She suddenly got dragged into a classroom. Charming Thunder looked at the direction where she got dragged and got dragged in as well.
"Perfect!" Rarity said. "Oh, yes. This is good! No one will recognize you!"
"Why wouldn't I wanna be--"
"And we'll need a disguise for your dog, which is too bad. He really is so adorable!" Spike's eyes turned into hearts as Rarity petted him. "Y'know, with a little work, I think I could make him look like a rabbit instead." Spike then fell out of the bag as his dream was shattered.
"A rabbit?" Twilight asked.
"And what about you?" Charming Thunder looked around the room and pointed to himself. The door behind him opened as Applejack entered the room.
"There you are, Twilight," she said.
"So much for the disguise," Rarity said.
"I've been lookin' all over for ya!"
"Me too," Fluttershy said as she entered the room.
"Me three!" Pinkie said as she bounced into the room. "I like your new look!"
"And your friend here," Fluttershy said. Charming Thunder blushed slightly and rubbed the back of his head. "What's your name?"
"Charming Thunder," he said. "And you must be Fluttershy."
"How did you know that?"
"Just a lucky guess."
"I do have an eye for these sorts of things. Not that you seem to care."
"What?!" Pinkie shouted.
"Why do you think she doesn't care?" Twilight asked. "No, never mind. Why were you all looking for me? What's going on?"
"Oh, she hasn't seen it yet."
"Seen what?"
"Oh, it's really not that bad." Charming Thunder slapped his hand to his face.
"This isn't going to end well," he thought to himself. Pinkie grabbed her laptop from her backpack and played a video that was shown on the screen.
"Twilight Sparkle wants to be your Fall Formal Princess," the voice in the video said. "What does it say about our school if we give someone like this...such an important honor?" When the video ended, Twilight became shocked.
"Wha...I..."
"I take that back," Pinkie said. "It's pretty bad!"
"But this all happened yesterday! At the library! Has everyone in the school seen this? Is that why they were all looking at me that way?" Applejack and Pinkie nodded as Twilight looked down in shame. "What am I gonna do? No one is gonna vote for me after seeing this!"
"Not that it'll make any difference, but I'll still vote for you," Fluttershy said.
"If ya still wanna run, maybe there's something I can do to help!"
"Word of advice?" Fluttershy said to Charming Thunder. "Don't accept her help. She doesn't take anything seriously!"
"Ugh! Why do you have to be so awful to me?"
"Oh! Pff. Kch. Ts! Don't play innocent, Pinkie Pie!" Rarity said. "You are no better than she is!"
"And what is that supposed to mean?!"
"I am happy to offer up my assistance as well. Especially to that handsome friend of yours. To someone who would appreciate what I have to offer!" Everyone in the room began to argue with each other. Charming Thunder covered his ears as Spike hid in Twilight's bag and zipped it up.
"Listen to y'all carryin' on!" Applejack shouted. "Get over it and move on!"
"You mean like how you've gotten over what happened with Rainbow Dash?"
"She said she'd get the softball team to make an appearance at my bake sale. I tell everybody they're comin', and then not one of 'em shows up! She made a liar outta me! That's different!"
"Is not!" Pinkie and Rarity said.
"Is too." The arguing continued as Charming Thunder sat at a desk and placed his head on the table. Twilight couldn't take it anymore and had to do something.
"STOP! All of you! I wanna show you something." Twilight then took out the yearbook she found at the library and showed them the picture of themselves. "You were friends once."
"Hmm. The Freshman Fair. Y'all remember?" Applejack said. Everyone nodded and everything began to get calm.
"But something happened. I think that something was Sunset Shimmer."
"Please don't bring her up," Charming Thunder said.
"Well, it's a nice theory, darling, but Sunset Shimmer had nothing to do with it," Rarity said.
"She's right," Fluttershy said. " Sunset Shimmer isn't the one who ruined my silent auction for the animal shelter by bringing fireworks and noisemakers! It was supposed to be a serious event, and Pinkie Pie ruined it!"
"What are you talking about? I got a text from you saying that you didn't want a silent auction. You wanted a big party!"
"Uh! I never sent you a text!"
"You didn't?" Charming Thunder pushed Fluttershy and Pinkie away from each other before things went wrong again.
"You don't think she's the one who's been sending me those e-mails, do you? Every time I volunteer to help with the decorations at a school function, I get an e-mail from Pinkie Pie saying she has plenty of volunteers! And then I find out she's done everything herself."
"Why is this all on Pinkie?" Charming Thunder thought to himself.
"I never sent you any e-mails!"
"Maybe she's the reason Rainbow Dash didn't show up for my bake sale!" Applejack said.
"Didn't you ever ask Rainbow Dash why she didn't show up?" Twilight asked.
"Heh, I guess I kinda stopped talkin' to her at all after that."
"Really!" Charming Thunder shouted.
"Maybe now would be a good time to start." Applejack agreed and the group then exited the classroom to go see Rainbow Dash.

Rainbow Dash was at the school’s soccer field kicking a row of soccer balls into the goal before Applejack approached her. Applejack then came in and talked to her as the rest watched. "They're actually talking!" Rarity said. "That's a good sign!"
"What did you expect?" Charming Thunder asked. "Another one of those arguments like the ones YOU just had a couple minutes ago."
"No. Not exactly." They continued to watch until Applejack and Rainbow hugged each other.
"Hugs!" Pinkie said. "Ooh, hugs are always good!"
Applejack and Rainbow headed their as Applejack explained, "Somebody, and I think we can all guess who, told Rainbow Dash that my bake sale had been moved to a different day. Dash showed up with all the softball team and thought I'd cancelled on her!"
"I see," Charming Thunder said.
"So you're lookin' to dethrone Sunset Shimmer and become Princess of the Fall Formal, huh?" Rainbow asked. "Gotta say, I'd really love to see that happen. I'll totally help you out! All you gotta do is beat me in a game of one-on-one."
"I expected more of a challenge."
"What?" Twilight asked.
"First to five goals wins. One-zip!"
Twilight had a shocked look on her face, but the two began their game.
A few moments later, Rainbow Dash scored five points and Twilight scored none. Everyone came down from the stands and surrounded the grounded Twilight with frowns on their faces. "I... really thought you were gonna... pull it off there in the end!" Rarity said nervously.
"So what's the plan?" Rainbow asked as she helped Twilight up to her feet. "How can I help you be princess instead of Sunset Shimmer?" Charming Thunder was shocked at first but happy at the same time.
"But...I....lost," Twilight said.
"Of course you lost. I'm awesome! But I'm not gonna help just anybody try and beat Sunset Shimmer. The Fall Formal Princess should be someone with heart and determination. You've proved that you've got 'em both!" Everyone laughed as Twilight and Rainbow hugged.
Charming Thunder stood in front of the jukebox holding a coin as he looked through the song list. Once he found one, he inserted the coin and pressed a letter and a two digit number. The music then started to play and walked back to the table where the rest of the group was. "I don't think I have met you before," Rainbow said. "I saw you at the field next to Twilight. What's your name?"
"Charming Thunder," he replied.
"Cool name. Do you play any sports like me?"
"There are some I did. The only ones I know are martial arts and fencing."
"I must say, that I simply love the design on that shirt of yours. A triforce symbol."
"Did you know that the three triangles represent something?" The group nodded in disagreement. He then pointed to each of the triangles as he explained. "This one represents wisdom. This one represents courage. And this last one represent power."
"OOOOOH," Pinkie said. Rarity noticed Twilight talking to a guy that was familiar to her as Charming Thunder continued to talk to her. Twilight then began to walk over to the table and sat next to Charming Thunder.
" Don't even think about it! You're already trying to get her crown. Who knows what Sunset Shimmer would do if you ended up getting her ex-boyfriend too?"
"I'm not trying to," Twilight said. " I don't even know...we just accidentally...ex-boyfriend?" Charming Thunder got a glimpse of him. He had blue hair with a black jacket and a white t-shirt with a lightning bolt over a shield on it.
"Looks like someone is jealous," Rainbow whispered to Charming Thunder.
"What? No I'm not." He then regained his focus and turned to the rest of the group.
"All right, everyone," Applejack said. "Dance is tomorrow night, and we still don't know how we're gonna get Twilight the votes she needs to be named princess. Right now, folks only know the Twilight from the videos Sunset Shimmer posted online. We need to help 'em see her differently."
Rarity smiled and yelled out loud, "I'VE GOT IT!" The room then became silent and Rarity cleared her throat as she began to explain. "Perhaps I have a solution. Now this may be an absolutely preposterous idea, but what if we all wore these as a sign of unity?" She then took out a headband with triangle shaped ears and a belt with a tail. "Freshman year, they were very, very popular. A way for everybody to show their school spirit! You know? Go, Canterlot Wondercolts! I haven't sold any in ages. I mean, the five of us are obviously very different, but deep down, we're all Canterlot Wondercolts! Sunset Shimmer is the one who divided us, Twilight Sparkle is the one who united us. And we're gonna let everyone know it! What do you think?"
"A splendid idea," Charming Thunder said. "I should do the same if anyone is at the library."
"Good idea," Rainbow said. "We are going to need a lot of help after all."

Charming Thunder was reading a novel as the other students were studying. As he read, he heard whispers coming from the table he is sitting at. "Sunset Shimmer is nothing but trouble," the girl said. She had the same hair color as his sister back at Equestria.
"I know right," the other said. She had long black hair just like a friend of his. He then realized that they are both Octavia and Cadence.
He then closed the book and said sarcastically, "Oh surely that she is not all that bad."
"Oh it is," Cadence said. "Whenever she appears, some hide in lockers in fear and who knows what they are thinking about doing."
"I see."
"But not until Twilight entered the building," Octavia said. "What are we supposed to do now since the Fall Formal is coming up? Vote for Twilight?"
Charming Thunder smiled as he replied, "That is exactly what I had in mind."

Charming Thunder was with the others at Rarity's place while Twilight was away for some reason they don't know. He was tossing a coin and catching it over and over as he waited. The door suddenly opened as Twilight ran in and dragged Charming Thunder to a dressing room. "What's the big idea?" he asked.
"There is something I need to talk to you about earlier today," Twilight said. Spike got out of her bag and Charming Thunder sat down next to her.
"Everything okay in there?" Rarity asked.
"Yes! Only it's not okay. It's not okay at all! If I don't get my crown tonight, I won't be able to go back to Equestria for another thirty moons! Oh, what are we gonna do?" Charming Thunder thought for a moment until Spike had an idea.
"We tell them the truth," Spike said. "Let them know what's really at stake if you don't get the crown tonight. They'll help us figure somethin' out."
"But what if they won't? What if when they find out how different I really am...?"
"Twilight, these girls rallied around you 'cause they saw what was in your heart. They aren't gonna feel any differently about you when they find out you're a pony princess in Equestria. Charming Thunder, you would have to do the same thing."
"Are you crazy?" Charming Thunder said. "My power was to remain a secret. Twilight said so herself and I quote; Keep your magic at a minimum."
"Well you are going to deal with it."
"I'm glad you followed me here, Spike," Twilight said.
"Me too. Unless, of course, we get stuck here for another thirty moons." The trio then stepped out of the dressing room to see their friends waiting.
"You okay?" Applejack asked.
"The Fall Formal isn't happening tonight."
"WHAT!" Pinkie shouted.
"It had to be postponed because Sunset Shimmer had Snips and Snails ruin all of Pinkie Pie's decorations."
"WHAT!"
"But the Fall Formal has to happen tonight."
"Wha-" Pinkie Pie's mouth was covered by Applejack to silence her for a moment.
"You see-"
"You're from an alternate world and you're a pony princess there and the crown actually has a magical element embedded in it that helps power up other magical elements, and without it they don't work anymore, and you need them all to help protect your magical world, and if you don't get the crown tonight, you'll be stuck in this world and you won't be able to get back for, like, a really, really long time! And your friend here is like your future husband with powers we never even heard of." Charming Thunder stood frozen as his legs began to shake.
"Yeah, I'm pretty sure that isn't the reason," Rainbow Dash said.
"Nope, she's pretty much spot-on," Spike said.
"He can talk?" Rarity shouted in shock.
"Oh, yeah! And back where I come from, I'm not even a dog! I'm a ferocious, fire-breathing dragon!"
"Well just a small one that is," Charming Thunder said nervously.
"This is so amazing!" Fluttershy said. "Tell me, what are you thinking right now?" Spike looked at Rarity as she got shocked.
"Sure would love a scratch behind the old ears!" Rarity got scared even more. "Uh, maybe later."
"How did you know all that?" Twilight asked.
"Just a hunch," Pinkie said.
"Wait a minute!" Applejack said. "Lemme get this straight. You're a pony?"
"You're a princess?" Rarity asked.
"You both are from another world?" Fluttershy asked. Twilight and Charming Thunder gulped and nodded.
"I need proof about Charming Thunder's powers," Rainbow Dash said. Charming Thunder then turned to find an object and chose a mannequin. He then closed his eyes and raised his hand like he was holding a ball. As the others watched, the mannequin began to shake and lift up into the air. He then moved it around the room and over the group without hitting their heads. He then slowly placed it back on the floor where it was. He then opened his eyes and turned to see the looks on their faces as they were amazed with what they just saw. "That...was...awesome."
"I've been practicing," Charming Thunder said. "But back at the task at hand and that is getting that crown."
"Whats under that glove of yours?" Rarity asked.
"Do you really want to know?" Everyone nodded then Charming Thunder reached for the end of his glove and removed it. It revealed his golden robot arm.
"That is way more awesome," Rainbow said as Charming Thunder puts his glove back on.
Excited chatter began to spread the room as Spike said to Twilight, "See? Told ya."

The decorations in the gym have been destroyed. Streamers on the floor and the disco ball lowered and destroyed to the ground. "This is going to be tougher than I thought," Charming Thunder said.
"I simply cannot believe they did all this!" Rarity said.
"If I only had some kind of... party cannon that could decorate everything super fast!" Pinkie said.
"Focus, Pinkie," Charming Thunder said.
"I know it seems impossible, but, maybe if we all work together?" Twilight suggested.
"Now that's the kinda can-do spirit I'm lookin' for in a Fall Formal Princess!" Applejack said. "Let's do it, y'all!"
"Absolutely!"
"Rock on!!" Rainbow said.
"Yes, indeedily!"
"Yaaay!" Fluttershy whispered.
"Indeed," Charming Thunder said. One by one, Rarity, Rainbow, Pinkie, Charming Thunder, and Fluttershy placed their hands on top of Applejack’s and looked expectantly at Twilight. She hesitated, but finally put her hand on top of theirs and joined them as they raised their hands in the air.
Twilight and Spike carried brooms and buckets out of a supply closet and tossed the brooms one by one to her friends. Rarity managed to grab hers when it hit her stomach. Fluttershy flinched before her broom could reach her. It hit her back then clattered to the ground. Rainbow, Applejack, and Pinkie caught theirs easily, Rainbow twirling hers in the air.

Charming Thunder helped the band carry their equipment and placed it on the stage. He gave a thumbs up to the guitarist as he moved on to his next job to set up the chairs. Pinkie and Fluttershy threw streamers up really high in order to make the party perfect. Other students helped out as well as they grabbed a streamer.

It was finished. They'd fixed and decorated the gym in time for the Fall Formal. Even Flash Sentry's band was ready, despite Twilight bumping into Flash during soundcheck. "This...looks...sooooo GOOD!" Pinkie said. The sound of clapping came from the door, and all the students turned to see it was Principal Celestia applauding their work. Vice Principal Luna stood behind her, holding a locked blue box with a slot in the lid.
"All right, everyone!" Celestia announced. "Fall Formal is back on for this evening." Everyone in the room cheered for joy. "So you'd better get out of here and start getting ready. Oh, and don't forget to cast your ballots for the Fall Formal Princess on your way out!"
"I know who I'm voting for," the boy with a brown hat said. One by one, everyone casted their votes in the box Luna held. Fluttershy decided to hang out for a bit as her casted their ballots. Charming Thunder made sure that every table and chair was setup correctly.
"You girls go ahead," Fluttershy said. "I just want to take care of something real quick."
"Okie dokie loki," Pinkie said. Fluttershy walked up to Charming Thunder as he checked off every table on a clipboard.
"Hey, um, Charming Thunder?"
"Yes, Fluttershy?" Charming Thunder said.
"Um, if you don't mind. Can...I take you to the Fall Formal."
Charming Thunder grinned as he said, "Are you asking me on a date?"
Fluttershy blushed as she said, "If its alright with you."
"Of course. Just for tonight though." He then walked with Fluttershy back to their friends as they casted their ballots along the way out.
After the gym was cleaned and fixed up and Twilight and her friends casted their ballots, they began their walk back to the boutique to prepare for the Fall Formal. Now Twilight and Charming Thunder will be able to get her crown in time before the portal closes. Fluttershy and Charming Thunder caught up to the others shortly after they walked outside of the school. They made it back to the boutique when Fluttershy spoke up, "I still can't believe we pulled that off."
"I can! We're awesome!" Rainbow said.
"Enough chatter, girls," Rarity said. " We need to get ready, and we need to look fabulous! And I know just a perfect tuxedo for you, Charming Thunder." Charming Thunder rubbed the back of his head and blushed.
With that, they began to prepare for the Fall Formal. Fluttershy was looking at a green and orange dress while Pinkie tried on a bunch of other ones; a blue and green feathered dress with three yellow and blue balloons in different patterns, a pink and purple dress with blue balloons, and an orange and yellow feathered dress with a light blue band in the center. Rarity had Rainbow Dash dressed up in a frilly, puffed-up dress, complete with a pink bow in her hair tied in a ponytail. Rainbow glared at Rarity for her choice in Rainbow's dress, Rarity smiled sheepishly and took Rainbow to find a different one. Charming Thunder came out of his dressing room as he fixed his suit. Fluttershy noticed that his tie was messed up and came to him to fix it. He then smiled and took a step back and bowed to her. The girls put on the finishing touches to their outfits; Pinkie was wearing blue and yellow balloon earrings, Rarity wore a diamond necklace, Rainbow put on red boots with pink wings on both sides, Applejack place a stetson hat with a rose on the front upon her head. Everyone was ready for the Fall Formal, everyone except for Twilight that is. Rarity gave her a dress and took her to the changing room to put it on. Twilight's friends gathered up to the curtain, waiting for her to come out. When the curtain opened up, Twilight stood there, wearing a pink, sparkling dress with a white and purple striped band in the center. Twilight looked absolutely gorgeous, her friends had the biggest smiles when they walked to her complementing her outfit. Charming Thunder dazed off and almost fainted. Everyone laughed at Charming Thunder's reaction.

As the moon shone brightly in the starry sky, the students of Canterlot High were approaching the school, all dressed in formal attire. A limo then approached the entrance of the school and the door opened. The girls laughed as they exited the vehicle. Charming Thunder walked with Fluttershy inside as Twilight was the last one to enter.
Rock music played by Flash Sentry's band in the room as the students danced to the beat of the music. Fluttershy danced next to Charming Thunder as the rest of their friends danced together. "I hope that Sunset doesn't crash the party," Charming Thunder thought. He then turned to Fluttershy and said, "I'm gonna grab some punch. I'll be back." As he walked to the punch bowl, the band began to settle down.
Principle Celestia took the center of the stage with the spotlights on her as she said, "First off, I want to say how wonderful everything looks tonight. You all did a magnificent job pulling things together after the unfortunate events of earlier. And now, without further ado," Vice Principal Luna walked across the stage with a chest in her hands, "I'd like to announce the winner of this year's Fall Formal Crown!" Vice Principal Luna opened the chest to reveal said crown. Charming Thunder poured a glass of punch and faced the stage to hear the winner. Celestia took an envelope from Luna and continued, "The princess of this year's Fall Formal is..." He then became nervous as the drums began to roll. Celestia then opened the envelope and read it's contents, "...Twilight Sparkle!" Everyone cheered as Twilight walked up the stage. Celestia presented the crown to her, "Congratulations, Twilight." Celestia placed the crown upon her head and it began to glow and sparkle for a brief moment. Her friends looked very proud of her as she waved to the entire student body. It feels like nothing could go wrong.
"Twilight! Help!" Spike shouted. Charming Thunder turned to see Spike being taken away by Snips and Snails. Twilight and her friends ran after them and left the room. Charming Thunder looked at his drink and back at the door.
"Must there always be trouble?" He then drank his whole cup and placed it down on the table. He then ran to the door Twilight went through. As he was about to open the door, the door hit him in the face and pushed him to the floor. In front of him stood a robot that was similar to a droid guard that tortured him when he was in the Canterlot dungeon. "How did you get here you worthless scrap pile?" The magnaguard activated its electrostaff and readied itself for combat. Charming Thunder's lightsaber slid from his right sleeve to his hand and activated his crimson blade. The crowd gazed at the action as Charming Thunder made his first move. The magnaguard blocked his strike and jumped over him. It then struck at him and hit his leg which electrocuted him in the process. The droid then grabbed him and threw him to the stage through the curtain. Charming Thunder got up on his feet until he realized that he started to glow. "Whats going on?" He then suddenly floated in the air and transformed into an armored figure that he remembered before. His breathing sound came from his helmet he now wore as it echoed in the room. He then took a look at himself as he noticed his new look. "Well this is weird." He then grabbed his lightsaber and walked out to reveal himself. The crowd gasped at his appearance. The magnaguard began to do a jump attack on him but it was too late. Charming Thunder levitated it in the air and tore it into pieces. He then threw the crushed droid through an opened window which landed into a dumpster. He jumped off of the stage and walked through the crowd and rushed to go help Twilight and the others.
Charming Thunder walked up the stairs which led to the roof of the school to see what is going on from above. When he opened the door, a magic blast flashed in front of him. He covered his eyes with his arm as he slowly walked to the edge of the roof. The flash faded away and revealed Sunset Shimmer now with demon wings and teeth sharp as a thorn on a rose. He hid until the moment came to reveal himself to her. "I've had to jump through so many hoops tonight just to get my hands on this crown, and it really should have been mine all along," Sunset growled. "But let's let bygones be bygones. I am your princess now, and you will be loyal... to me!" She then broke the front of the school and the students inside screamed. Sunset calmed things down by using her mind control spell on everyone in the building. She turned to Snips and Snails and ordered, "Round them up and bring them to the portal." She then flew out and confronted Twilight and the others. "Spoiler alert: I was bluffing when I said I was going to destroy the portal. I don't want to rule this pathetic little high school; I want Equestria! And with my own little teenage army behind me, I am going to get it!"
"We meet again, Sunset Shimmer," Charming Thunder said. Sunset Shimmer turned to face the armored figure and laughed.
"Well, well, well. If it isn't my old friend. Charming Thunder."
"Save your welcomes. You are dealing with someone important. Bow before the son of King Sombra."
"The only person who should be bowing is you."
"Kneel!!" Charming Thunder shot lightning out of his finger tips which caused Sunset Shimmer to fall to the ground and forced her to bow. Lightning faded away as Charming Thunder lowered his arm. "Your powers will soon wither away. Soon the crown will be returned to its rightful owner. Yet you struggle to keep it for yourself. And you betrayed me and Celestia."
"I was betrayed by Celestia. She had secrets that she could never tell me about this magic mirror which led me here to this world."
"You know that Celestia would never relinquish her magic." Charming Thunder walked to the edge of the roof and jumped down behind the mind controlled students. "Die or defeat me. Either way, Celestia taught you well. But you still have much to learn." He then activated his lightsaber and readied himself for combat.
"She has nothing left to teach me, old friend." Sunset's eyes glowed and Flash Sentry stepped fort to oppose Charming Thunder. "Deal with him, my minion." A lightsaber hilt levitated off of Charming Thunder's belt and was caught to Flash Sentry's hand. He activated it and jumped to strike the dark figure but his opponent blocked the attack. Charming Thunder then shoved Flash back and backed up a little.
"He may serve you well, Sunset. But his usefulness to you will come to an end." Charming Thunder force pushed Flash through the crowd and jumped to the roof. As Flash got up, Charming Thunder levitated giant rocks and tried to hit him with them. Charming Thunder got angry even more. "I will show you the true mastery of the force but this time the dark side." Flash jumped to the roof and slashed some strikes at him. Charming Thunder blocked the strikes then shoved him back. He then levitated a large metal object and threw it at him. Flash grabbed it and threw it back him but Charming Thunder used the force to throw it aside. Flash then repulsed him to the ground and levitated a giant rocks. He then dropped it on his foe and moved them aside. Charming Thunder's suit is now damaged with cuts on the sleeve and all of his gloves were destroyed in the process. His breathing sound became different as well. When he got up, his cape was damaged as well. He then activated his lightsaber and tried to strike Flash but his opponent blocked his strikes. Flash slashed at his opponents leg and Charming Thunder knelt back to the ground. He blocked the strikes until he got tired. Flash hits his helmet to reveal his face. Charming Thunder had enough so he levitated Flash and slid him on the ground and threw him back to the army. He jumped down in front of the downed Flash Sentry and deactivated his lightsaber.
"That is why I wont let you," Twilight said.
"Oh, please! What exactly do you think you're going to do to stop me? I have magic, and you have nothing!"
"She has us," Rainbow said as she and her friends stood beside Twilight.
"Gee, the gang really is all back together again." Sunset began to charge up a fire ball in her hands as she continued. "Now step aside! Twilight has tried to interfere with my plans one too many times already! She needs to be dealt with!" She threw the fireball at the group and the fireball exploded. She then laughed but when she took a look back, she saw Twilight and her friends being protected by a magic shield. "What!?"
Twilight smiled as she realized something important and said, "The magic contained in my Element was able to unite with those that helped create it!" The crown on Sunset Shimmer's head glowed and fired a magic beam and Twilight and her friends. "Honesty! Kindness! Laughter! Generosity! Loyalty! Magic! Together with a crown, they create a power beyond anything you could imagine, but it is a power you don't have the ability to control! The crown may be upon your head, Sunset Shimmer, but you cannot wield it, because you do not possess the most powerful magic of all: the magic of friendship!" A rainbow beamed towards Sunset and surrounded her. It also came close to Charming Thunder as he tried to hold on. "Here and in Equestria, it is the only magic that can truly unite us all!"
"You have betrayed my aunt and her allies both," Charming Thunder shouted. "You have betrayed me as well. And now, you have doomed your self, Sunset Shimmer." Charming Thunder fired lightning out of his finger tips to keep her still. A tiny beam fired at Flash's head and connected to the other students as they were no longer in control by Sunset Shimmer. The rainbow also hit Snips and snails as they tried to get away. Charming Thunder screamed in rage as a white explosion pushed him away. He then impacts a wall and landed on the ground.
Charming Thunder woke up from his consciousness and shook his head. He then glanced at a crater that was made by Twilight's magic. The students that were no longer brainwashed began to surround the crater. He then got up and walked up to the crater with them. In the center of the crater, kneeled a smoking and defeated Sunset Shimmer. Twilight stood over her triumphantly as she said, "You will never rule in Equestria. Any power you may have had in this world is gone. Tonight, you've shown everyone who you really are. You've shown them what is in your heart." The human counterparts of Flash Sentry, Scootaloo, Sweetie Belle and Applebloom all look down upon Sunset Shimmer as well. Flash looked especially disappointed.
Sunset Shimmer cried as she said, "I-I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I didn't know there was another way."
"The magic of friendship doesn't just exist in Equestria. It's everywhere. You can seek it out, or you can forever be alone. The choice is yours."
Sunset Shimmer climbed out of the crater and Twilight helped her out. Charming Thunder walked around the crater to get to them. "But...but all I've ever done since being here is drive everyone apart. I don't know the first thing about friendship."
"I bet they can teach you." Twilight's friends smiled when suddenly, a lightsaber was activated and the crimson beam was placed under Sunset's neck. "Its okay, love. Its over."
"You're kidding right," Charming Thunder grunted. "She became stronger than you knew and she deserves more than just pain and suffering."
"Maybe so. But if you strike her down in anger, you'll wind up like your father." Charming Thunder looked at Twilight and back at Sunset Shimmer. He then sighed and stood back as he deactivated his lightsaber.
"Those are my girls!" Spike shouted as he clapped.
"Did that dog just talk?" the drummer asked. "Whoa. Weird."
"Seriously? The talking dog is a weird thing about all this?"
Spike suddenly got picked up by Rarity and scratched his ear. "I, for one, think you're adorable."
"I believe this belongs to you," Celestia said carrying Twilight's crown. Twilight knelt down as she continued. "A true princess in any world leads not by forcing others to bow before her, but by inspiring others to stand with her." She then placed the crown on Twilight's head. "We have all seen that you are capable of just that. I hope you see it too, Princess Twilight."
"I do," Twilight said. The crowd then began to cheer as Charming Thunder smiled. He then felt a tap on his shoulder and turned his head to see Fluttershy holding two pieces of his helmet he wore since his transformation.
"I believe that this belongs to you," Fluttershy said. Charming Thunder smiled and grabbed the mask. He placed it on his face and it made a clicking sound. He then grabbed the top of the helmet and placed it on his head. It then hissed and then his breathing sound returned to normal.
"Would now be a completely awkward time to ask you for that dance?" Flash asked as he held out his hand. Twilight looked at the moon noticing that she still has time and at Charming Thunder who then nodded at her. She then giggled and grabbed Flash's hand.

As the party continued inside, Charming Thunder sat on a step outside with his helmet off and gazed at the starry sky. Sunset Shimmer cleared her throat to get his attention. Charming Thunder turned his head to face her. "Um, hey," Sunset said.
"Hey," Charming Thunder said.
"Might I sit with you?" Charming Thunder smiled and tapped on a spot for her to sit at. She then sat next to Charming Thunder and said, "I just want to apologize about earlier and--"
"There is no need. It is because now I understand why Celestia never mentioned you anymore." Sunset Shimmer placed her hand on Charming Thunder's robotic hand. He then looked at Sunset Shimmer and away from her.
"Look, I know how much you missed me, but life is life. Things change."
"So....after all those years, you still cared about me."
Sunset Shimmer hugged Charming Thunder tight as she said, "Of course I cared about you. But I soon forgot about you. And now here you are, son of a dark unicorn the Crystal Empire feared most."
"I redeemed him to the good side when he returned the third time. He risked his own life to save me from harm."
"You mean he's..." Charming Thunder nodded and started to cry a little. "Aw, Charming. I'm so sorry about your loss. I'm sure he was a good stallion and--" She was interrupted when she heard laughter from Twilight and her friends. Charming Thunder looked up at the moon noticing that his time to leave was now. Charming Thunder turned back and saw that Sunset Shimmer disappeared. He then saw Twilight and her friends hugging. He then smiled and walked up to the group.
"You'll look out for her, won't you?" Twilight asked.
"Of course we will," Rarity said. "Although I do expect some sort of apology for last spring's debacle."
"I have a feeling she'll be handing out a lot of apologies."
"Don't worry," Charming Thunder said. "I bet that she will get along with them quite nicely."
"We better get going," Spike said.
"I know we've only been friends for a short time, but I'm gonna miss all of you so much." She sighed and began to walk with Charming Thunder to the statue.
"That crown really does suit you, Princess Twilight."
"You know what, Spike? I am starting to feel a little more comfortable wearing it."
"And the wings?"
"I've been walking on two legs and picking things up with these! Wings? I'm thrilled that's all I'll be dealing with back in Equestria!"
"And not to mention me being like some kind of Jedi Knight," Charming Thunder added. The trio then stepped through the portal and headed back to where they belong.

The princesses and Twilight's friends stood waiting for Twilight and Spike's return when the mirror suddenly opened a portal. Twilight was the first to step out of there standing on her back hooves. She then got back on her fours as her friends cheered for her return. "Twilight!" Fluttershy said.
"Ah, you're back!" Rainbow said.
"You've got your crown!" Rarity said with joy.
"I knew you could do it!" Pinkie said while she bounced in the room.
"Oh, we were so worried," Applejack said as she sighed with relief.
"Sunset Shimmer, is she alright?" Celestia asked.
"I think she's gonna be fine," Twilight replied. "I left her in good hands."
Rainbow scratched her head and asked, "What are hands?" Spike popped out and landed behind Twilight. She smiled as Charming Thunder flew out and landed on Twilight.
"Ow!" Charming Thunder said. "Okay now that I am not going to feel in the morning."
"Charming Thunder?" Rarity said. "What were you doing there? I thought you were with Sweetie Belle."
"You wouldn't believe me if I told you, Rarity. But don't worry. Your sister is fine."

Charming Thunder gazed out at the balcony as he looked at the stars. Celestia stood behind him and stood next to him. "You ran into Sunset Shimmer didn't you?" she asked.
"You told me that she was not in Canterlot anymore," Charming Thunder said. "Why lie to me?"
"She wanted to know something dark that I keep hiding from her."
"You know, when she and I talked among all her dark thoughts, I took a glimpse at something in her heart. Something that she would never forget."
"What?"
"Me." Celestia smiled as they both continued to gaze at the stars at the crystal castle now that Charming Thunder's task was done.
