Fluttershy finds a newborn in a basket on her doorstep. So she takes it in and names her Timid Butterfly but what if there was something more to this foal.
Timid Butterfly was once a abonden foal left on her adoptive mom's, Fluttershy's, doorstep. She found her true mama and now lives in the Friendship Castle with her mama and papa. But what if she suddenly has odd dreams of a yellow alicorn with white wings. Is this mysterious alicorn who calls herself Angel Wings her or somepony else?
Fluttershy happily flew into her house, with Angel hopping only a few feet behind her. She landed on her sofa. She reached behind her and took out of a small duck covered book. It had a happy title of baby care making Fluttershy smile. She loved little foals and always wanted her own. But how?
She didn't know any stallions who fully loved her if you discount Discord as a stallion. Even if she choose Discord though, could you actually have a foal with him. She didn't think so but then again who knew?
Knock! Knock
Somepony was knocking on the cottage door, at this hour. Fluttershy looked up from her book and at the clock, it was only 5 minutes past 10 but it was still late for somepony to be knocking. She signed faintly, hopped off her sofa and to the door. She pushed opened the top half of the door first and looked for who was knocking.
''Um...Uh...Hello?'' said Fluttershy, to the darkness of the night.
Nopony repiled and they was nopony in sight so Fluttershy gently opened the bottom half of the small cottage door and walked out but then something caused her to stop. Something had hit her foreleg in a thud light feel.
She looked down and beneath her was a basket, covered by a crystal white blanket. Whatever was inside was breathing as the blanket lifted up and down but not by much hinting it was small. She reached down and gripped her teeth onto the over the basket strap and picked it up.
She carried it slowly inside and put it on a nearby table. She nuzzled at the blanket and got a small babyish sound that was muffled by the blanket. Curious, she nuzzled the blanket again but this time pushed it slightly.
Much to her shock and surprise, there was a frighten foal inside the small basket. She appeared to have a bright yellow coat similar to Fluttershy's but a few shades lighter. Her mane was a medium magenta-purple like color with a rather medium streak running just left to the center that was a light pink. The foals eyes however were a interest to Fluttershy. The foal appeared to have heterochromia meaning her eyes were different in color. This foal's eyes were pink and purple which was a cute combination.
''Hello, little filly.''
The filly cooed in fright and attempt to pull the blanket back over her and that when Fluttershy noticed the stub that was putting just out of her mane, she was a unicorn.
Fluttershy found her adorable and gently took the foal out of the basket and cuddle the foal in her hooves gently as to not frighten the foal even more.
The foal calmed down and looked at the yellow pegasus for a second with her mismatched eyes. Fluttershy smiled and said.
''I wonder why you were left on my doorstep? Your adorable.''
A butterfly flow into the room and landed on the foals nose making Fluttershy giggled and smile more.
''That's it. For the time being your name will be Timid Butterfly. It's cute and your obviously shy.'' said the smiling mare.
The foal smiled for a second before her tummy rumbled causing her to burst out crying.
''Milk. I don't think I have a bottle however....'' Said the mare as she carried the young crying Timid into the kitchen. She put Timid on the side before getting the milk from the fridge and then looking for a bottle. Luckily she had one, probably from the fact she always wanted a foal to care for. She filled in with the milk and then heated it till it was just warm, not to hot and not to cold.
''Here you go.'' she said as she gently feed Timid the milk, being careful as to not give the foal to little at the go or too much.
Timid wasn't greedy and only drank half of the bottle before looking tired. Fluttershy smiled, picked up the foal and put the bottle on the side for later uses.
She carried Timid back into the living room and slowly layed her in the basket, pulling the cover over the foals head and carefully pulling the blanket over the young foal. As soon as Timid was comtable and asleep, Fluttershy carefully picked up and basket and carried it upstairs. Placing it on her nightstand so she could hear if Timid was crying.
With that, she kissed Timid's forehead and gently got into her bed, under the covers. Smiling kindly before setting into sleep.
Around 3 in the morning did the crying start waking a still tired but not exhausted Fluttershy. The foal obviously had a accident during the night and now was feeling gross. She picked up Timid and carried downstairs before realizing she was in a bit of a trouble now. She didn't have diapers so what to put on Timid.
She eventually made a makeshift diaper that could do for about 3 hours at most. It was made out of a soft but thick fabric that easily secured around Timid's flanks. She grabbed a pin and used it to hold the makeshift diaper in place. Smiling at her handiwork, she got rid of the ruined diaper and carried Timid back to her basket and Fluttershy prepared herself for only 3 more hours of sleep.
Fluttershy obviously was lucky as the makeshift diaper was still okay when she had woke up 3 hours later. She woke the sleeping foal and carried her for a morning feed so Timid didn't go hungry during the first few hours of the day. She had to take Timid to meet her friends and have a doctor check her.
She opened the cottage's door carrying the foal in her basket and prepared for a long and tiring but hopefully a good day. She troted down the path, waving to the woodland and domestic animals as she past them on her way. It only took 5 minutes to get into ponyville but those probably were gonna be the easy bit of the day.
Fluttershy's first intention was the visit her childhood friend Rainbow Dash first but she slowly changed her mind to the idea of going to see Rarity since she was the closest first. So, carrying the basket she slowly walked to Rarity's Boutique. The Boutique had only just opened considering the fact of how early it was.
She gently pushed the door open with her hoof and walked in, cautiously looking around for the white unicorn fashion designer.
''Um, hello?'' murmured the yellow pegasus.
''Ah, Fluttershy!'' said Rarity as she walked into the main room carrying some rolls of thread in her magic. ''What brings you here?''
''Well...'' started Fluttershy.
Rarity took notice of the basket that was on the floor and the fact there appeared to be something in it.
''What's that, Fluttershy darling?''
''Well, that's why I came...''
She reached down and nuzzled the basket to wake sleeping Timid Butterfly up. She then carefully took the foal into her hooves causing Rarity to gasp in shock.
''Y-your a mother?!'' shouted a startled Rarity before calming herself down as to not scare the baby in the room. ''I suppose you wanna explain this and you need baby clothes and diapers!''
''Well, I found this little filly on my doorstep late last night. She appeared to be abonden and was frightened. But I calmed her down and named her Timid Butterfly for the time being. I'm gonna take her to the doctors and see if we can find her parents. If not then I'm gonna take custody of her.''
''Your a kind mare, Fluttershy. I'm sure you could raise her if you had her.'' said Rarity as she began sketching baby clothes and diapers onto a mini sketch pad.
''Thank you, Rarity.'' said Fluttershy, looking down at Timid who was looking around interested by her surroundings.
''So, I guess you want some nature or animal themed baby clothes and diapers?''
''Yeah. I be back later, I need to tell everypony else about Timid.''
''You go do that. Please come back after 15 minutes since I don't know how long it will take to design and make these clothes.''
''Okay. Thanks, Rarity.'' said Fluttershy, bowing before carefully laying Timid in her basket and carrying it outside of the shop in her mouth, waving to her friend.Smiling, Rarity waved back before getting to her work.
Next up on Fluttershy's list was Twilight due to the fact she was a bit scared to go to Pinkie Pie and Apple Jack was too far. She walked past Sugar Cube Corner where you could naturally hear Pinkie Pie singing as she baked her 'cupcakes'. She carefully walked by before she got seen.
However, she didn't get that lucky because as soon as she pasted the kitchen window of the bakery. She heard a scream, one she knew all to well.
''HI, FLUTTERSHY!''
Oh course, Pinkie Pie bounced out of the bakery in her normal energetic mood. She didn't even have her eyes open till the moment she bounced in front of the now cowering mare. Fluttershy cringed as she opened her teal eyes to be met with blue curious eyes which were looking both at her and the basket she was carrying.
''Sweets!? Is there sweets in there?'' yelled Pinkie Pie in curious and excitement as she sniffed at the basket holding Timid. ''Wait, NO! That's, that's....that's...''
Fluttershy watched as Pinkie took a step back in disbelief and almost asked what was wrong when suddenly.
''Why do you have a foal!?''
Fluttershy was caught off guard by this. Did Pinkie know or did she somehow smelled Timid.
''Tell me! Tell me! Tell me now!'' yelled Pinkie in a raged tone which Fluttershy was now cowering from.
Pinkie obviously noticed her friend cowering and took a step back, her mane deflecting a bit and also darkening at the same time.
''Ah...!'' murmured Fluttershy, not liking this look of Pinkie Pie.
''I'm sorry. I shouldn't have yelled at you to find the truth. Sorry, Fluttershy.....'' mumbled the now depressed Pinkie Pie.
''It's okay, Pinkie. I was gonna tell you but the tone caught me off guard....'' said Fluttershy comforting her friend with her soft voice.
Pinkie looked at Fluttershy for a second before her mane curled up and she went back to her natural lightness.
''Then what is it?'' she said, bouncing up and down.
''Well....Last night, somepony knocked on my door. I don't know who however....'' started Fluttershy. ''So I walked to my door and saw this basket. When I looked inside''
Fluttershy gently picked up Timid and showed her to Pinkie Pie who took the young foal into her hooves.
''Was her. I feed her last night and also named her Timid Butterfly. She's nervous but over wise cute and sweet.''
Pinkie looked at Timid before smiling.
''Do you think I could babysit for you from time to time and bring the cake twins?''
''Sure!'' said Fluttershy smiling. ''That is, if I'm aloud to take care of her.''
''Got cha! I will come by later to bring you some baby milk and food and possibly a cookie or two for a snack.''
''Thanks, Pinkie.''
Pinkie gently gave Fluttershy Timid and walked into Sugar Cube Corner smiling.
Smiling, Fluttershy finally made in to the Friendship Rainbow Castle also known as Twilight's castle. She smiled and carefully carried Timid to the door. She pushed the door open and called out.
''Twilight?''
Her voice echoed around causing Fluttershy to be a scardy cat and run to hide behind one of the crystal columns. Twilight walked down the stairs to know what had made the echo and saw her yellow pegasus friend half crying next to a column with a basket having a shade over it next to her.
''Fluttershy? What are you doing here so early?''
''Well um. I came to tell you something...''
''Okay then. Come on the the Crystal Friendship Library which is what I named the library part....''
''Oh okay.. '' murmured Fluttershy.
Twilight used her magic to pick up the basket smiling as she knew it was Fluttershy's and she was clearly tired of carrying it. They walked upstairs and into a beautiful library.
Each wall was a crystal golden with streaks of sliver here and there. There was beautiful arches leading to Twilight's bedroom and Spike's room and another in Twilight's room which was at the top of a crystal stairway that obviously led to Twilight's adoptive daughters bedroom.
Nyx had become into Twilight's life shortly after the defeat of Discord and was a main focus of Twilight's. Twilight cared about her like any other mother would for a daughter. Nyx despite having her cutie mark, was a member of the Cutie Mark Crusaders or better known as the CMC.
Back to topic, the library shelves which is alleys like a avenage library but each wall had one running across it with another on top of the former. But at one side of the library was a massive window that had a open window which was linked to a ledge which had a telescope pointed out of it. The telescope was white and had Twilight's cutie mark imprinted on it.
Overall it was amazing, prefect for a princess.
''So, Fluttershy. Whats in this?''
''Oh...Well look inside''
Twilight made a curious face that most only saw on Nyx and looked at the foal inside.
''A foal, Fluttershy. How?''
''She was abonden on my doorstep so I took her in...naming her Timid Butterfly''
''Well, she sure lives up to her name'' said Twilight, laughing as she looked down at a nervous and shy Timid. ''So you gonna take care of her. Hm, I guess I could help. Since, Nyx came into my life I been busy with both her and the roles as princess so I managed to find a baby book and then some bedtime stories''
Twilight's horn glowed pulling two books. One named 'Momma's foal' and the other 'Top ten bed time stories for 1-5 year olds'
''Wow, thanks Twilight..''
''Also'' continued Twilight.
Twilight's horn glowed brightly making a part of the room glow up and soon a baby carrier appeared.
''Thank you, Twilight!'' said Fluttershy going to hug her friend.
Twilight smiled and returned the hug before saying bye and allowing Fluttershy to sort herself out. She took Timid out of the basket and into one of the two sides of the baby carrier and carefully put it on her back under her wings so she could fly later. She grabbed the books, gently put on the in basket and the other in the other side of the baby carrier. She picked up the basket like she had before and made her way out of the castle.
Fluttershy stopped outside of the library and wondered if she should go to Rainbow's or Apple Jack's first. She eventually went with Rainbow and slowly flow up keeping her eye on Timid who was looking down obviously frighten of heights. Fluttershy stopped and nuzzled the foal gently helping her with her fear.
They somehow managed it Rainbow's in one piece and by that, meaning Timid didn't go crying because of the increased height she was at. She knocked on the cloud door.
Rainbow yelled through.
''Yes?''
''Rainbow? It's me, Fluttershy....''
Fluttershy heard the beats of Rainbow's wings as she flow to the cloud door and opened it.
''Hi, Fluttershy. Wait...'' started Rainbow before flying around to Fluttershy's side and looked at Timid. ''Who's this?''
''Oh. That's my...Uh....Well not my adoptive daughter, yet, but might be. Her name is Timid Butterfly.''
''Oh, I guess she's cute...''
''Thanks...'' said Fluttershy, unsure if that was a compliment or not.
''So you came to introduce her to me. Wait a sec!'' yelled Rainbow and she bolted into her cloud mansion through the cloud door without opening it.
When she came back, she was holding a small rainbow bonnet which she carefully put on Timid's head. It was cute and the main part was cyan but the inside which was partly folded up was rainbow.
''Wow, thanks, Rainbow''
''I guess. It was mine. My mom got it for me when I was a foal so I thought that when I had foals I could give it to them but I changed my mind.''
''Well, that intresting. I gotta go show her to Apple Jack now so bye, Rainbow''
With that, she flow off the cloud waving and interesting enough so did Timid. Rainbow smiled and mumbled to herself.
''Babies, huh? I prefer my little chicken, Scootaloo''
Apple Jack's farm wasn't far from there luckily and so, Fluttershy didn't have to worry about Timid as much but she was still clearly worried as she was constantly looking back and froth from the path ahead and to Timid.
She didn't have to worry for long through cause soon they had landed on the mud path to Sweet Apple Acres. She looked at Timid who was looking at the Ponyville Schoolhouse which was too far. Fluttershy smiled and began walking.
Apple Jack was obviously kicking at one of her trees, she then stopped when she noticed the yellow pegasus who just walked onto her lot. She smiled and took a break to take to her friend.
''Howdy, sugarcube. What brings you here?''
''Well, Apple Jack. I want you to meet somepony...''
''Oh who?'' said Apple Jack looking around and behind Fluttershy.
''Her...'' said Fluttershy turning around slowly as to not scare Timid. Apple Jack looked at the foal and smiled.
''Ya got yerself a foal?''
''Yeah...Her name is Timid Butterfly......I already showed her to everypony else...''
''Well she sure is cute. Just like Apple Bloom when she was this age. Wait a second, sugar.''
Apple Jack began walking to a the barn and went inside. A good 5 minutes later, she came out carrying a adorable rattle. It was yellow and the rattle bit was a zap apple shape and color.
''It was mine when ah was a foal, as was it Apple Bloom's and accordin' to Granny, was Big Mac's too.''
''Oh. Must be special to you...''
''It sure is but ah want ya to have it. Ah didn't wanna keep it for my child, ah wanted to be generous and give it to somepony else.''
''Oh thank you Apple Jack...'' said Fluttershy, putting it in the basket with the book.
''Yer welcome.''
With that alone, Fluttershy smiled and waved bye as now she had to the the Ponyville hospital since Timid would need a check-up.
At first, Fluttershy was nervous about entering the hospital. What would happen. She eventually brought up whatever courage she had. She walked in and was insantly noticed by Nurse Redheart.
''Oh. Hi, Fluttershy. Do you have some business here?''
''I guess... I have a foal who needs to be checked up on...''
''Oh, I didn't know you had given birth?''
''Oh er...I found her actually...''
''When?'' said Redheart now fully intrested.
''5 past 10 last night....''
''And you managed till the morning.''
''Yes but barely....''
''I know what you mean. Taking care of a stranger foal without the supplies but have been hard.''
''It was but we made it.''
''May I see the foal and can you follow me?''
''Sure...''
Fluttershy began following Redheart into one of the rooms and gave Timid to Redheart.
''Hmm.. Well from physical. She appears healthy, that means you did a good job last night with what you had.''
She put Timid on a weighting scale and checked the weight.
''Just below avenge but that expected from a abonden foal.''
Fluttershy signed in relief.
''Since she's a unicorn. You must understand that the unicorn doctors have to preform a test on their magic like how the pegasus staff have to also do the same for pegasi foals.
She began the test and as Fluttershy watched. She didn't see much of a reaction from the foal.
''Hm, this is weird. I got the same result from Mrs Cake's unicorn daughter. She has high magic levels. This might mean though that she's just talented at birth but we have no evidence to who left her so we don't know if it's inherited.''
''Okay...''
''Fluttershy. I say you can raise her as your adoption daughter but be warned. Her magic will be dangerous as you should know from the cake twins.''
''I understand.''
''That's good. Here'' said Redheart, passing Timid back to her adoption mom.
''Thank you, Miss Redheart.''
''Your welcome. See you some other time and remember, raising a foal isn't easy but is worth a lot as you see them grow. Remember that.''
''I will.'' said Fluttershy as she hugged Timid. This was the start but Timid or Fluttershy didn't know what was too happen but they were prepared for anything.
It had been a mouth since Fluttershy had found little Timid Butterfly in a basket on her doorstep. Nurse Redheart had told her that Timid had been a least a month maybe under classing her as 2 months old. Fluttershy didn't know Timid's brithday so made the date she found Timid, her birthday. November fourth, making her 1 month on that account and Fluttershy liked it like that.
Timid had 2 playmates that came for playdates every Tuesdays and Thursdays, sometimes, however, there would be a playdate on Saturday or Sunday depending on what they could do, the weather, all sorts. Her playmates were Pound and Pumpkin cake. These two were still pretty good at making mischief with there powers but other then that Fluttershy had mostly easy with the playdates.
But then one morning, a mare came to Fluttershy's door. This mare had a light pink coat with light creamy yellow mane and tail that was curly and had green eyes. She was pushing a pram holding a cute yellow foal with a purple mane and magenta eyes.
''Miss Fluttershy....I hear your doing play dates for your young daughter with the cake twins, am I right?''
''Yes....''
''The Cakes told me a few months ago that my daughter here, Cream Puff could have play dates with Pound and Pumpkin however this came as a shock so I here to ask if my daughter can also join the play dates''
''Of course. The more the merrier'' said Fluttershy smiling. ''In fact, today's is starting soon so do you want her to join today?''
''If it's possible, then yes. I need more time with her oldest sister you see.''
''Oh I see. What's her older sister's name?''
''Cotton Cloudy, she's a pegasus and is rather energetic about the clouds and so I need a bit of help from the pegasus on teaching her to fly''
''I see. Just bring Cream Puff in. Timid is already waiting on the carpet'' said Fluttershy smiling down at Cream Puff. Millie, the mare smiled and brought her filly inside. Carefully placing her next to the playing foal.
Later that day, during the play date where the 3 foals were clearly welcoming Cream Puff into the group. Pound decided to show the young earth pony his flying moves which he had been learning. Pumpkin was attempting to teach Timid to use magic and was helping well as Timid was already levitating her toys with perfection.
Knock! Knock!
It was the door for the second time of the day. Fluttershy got up from watching the foals and walked to the door. Outside was Amethyst Star or as most called her Sparkler. She was Derpy Hooves's oldest daughter and she was carrying a small unicorn foal.
The foal had a grey coat with tints of purple that reminded Fluttershy of Dinky Doo, Derpy's younger child. She had straw coloured hair that was a mess in places but straight in others. Peeping out of the straw colored mane was a cute little greyish-purple horn. The foal opened her eyes to reveal blue but they were crossed like Derpy's.
''Sorry for coming so late into the playdate, Fluttershy but mom wanted to go out with Dinky and my friends want me to play with them so I couldn't look at Dizzy Hooves here. Do you think you could for me?''
''Of course. It only means more friends for my daughter, Timid''
''Yeah. I know. Don't tell mom but yesterday I found out I was pregnant with a foal of my own. Maybe?''
''Sure. What's your name ideas?''
''Well....Since Lyra played that tooter when I was a foal, I was thinking oddly of the name Tootsie Flute, so that will be the foals name if it's a girl. Probably Quartz if it's a boy''
''Okay. I like those names. That would make 6 foals when yours comes. How long are you?''
''2 months....so you got a bit of a wait''
''Don't worry. Timid's technically only 2 months old but I reversed her a month to make things easier for birthdays''
''So she will be only 8 months when my foal arrives?''
''Yes with the cake twins at 9 and this new filly at 10 months.''
''Good. At that point, Dizzy will be 8 like Timid''
''Okay. Bye Sparkler'' said Fluttershy, taking Dizzy into her hooves. She waved goodbye and walked inside. Sparkler smiled,waving before leaving to meet up with Lyra, Bonbon and Colgate who were waiting.
Timid yawned shortly after her friends left. She was leverating a teddy but it didn't drop when she yawned. Fluttershy smiled, picked her daughter up and carried her upstairs to the crib that her friends her gotten her. It was a beautiful brown crib that was coated in wild flowers of all colors.
Timid was soon asleep hugging her teddy which was oddly still wrapped in her magic but Fluttershy again smiled before going to see herself.
Timid was now 2 years old and still highly good with magic. As well as her 4 friends, Pound, Pumpkin, Dizzy and Cream, there had been two more added to the group. Non-identical twins, Tootsie Flute and Quartz, the twin foals of Sparkler. And they had been quite the surprise to the group, with what their pony types were.
Tootsie Flute was a unicorn with a pale blue coat and a similar purple mane to her mom. Her eyes were also similar in color. Quartz was a male pegasus with a pink body, much to his hatred, and a clean blue mane and tail that was spiked in so many places that it was messy. His eyes were the one thing in had in similarity to his twin, they were purple. Sometimes, it was hard to tell they were twins in the first place.
Fluttershy loved Timid and did everything to make sure that her foal was alright but then a question drove into her mind one night when she was tucking her daughter into bed. Thanks to Discord, who was now permanently living with them, changing the layout of a small cottage, there was now 3 bedrooms. A master room and two smaller ones.
Timid's room had a yellow wallpaper coated in beautiful butterflies. Even her blanket, a soft pink and yellow striped blanket was covered in a lot of butterflies. It was a cute bedroom, prefect for a two year old filly. Plus, the small child had began to love the colors pink and yellow and thus, loved her cute, little room.
''Mama?'' asked Timid, while being tucked in.
''Yes, sweetie?''
''Whewe's my papa and who?...Wis it Unwle Diwcord...?''
''Oh...He's no longer around.. And no, he's not Uncle Discord. Discord is just my friend, nothing more. Now settle down, Timid..''
''Oh....Niwht, mama''
Fluttershy smiled at her young, adoptive daughter and began to calmly sing her lullaby to lull the filly into the dream world. And it worked, the small, unicorn filly smiled and yawned before turning over into a more comfortable position and fell to sleep, murmuring the words 'I love you' as her heterochormic eyes closed as she went into a deep sleep.
Fluttershy froze and went downstairs and sat on the sofa. Two things came to mind, both the 'I love you' bit and the fact about Timid's parents. Who were they? And why did they leave their daughter with a stranger, or was she a stranger? Could Timid's parents be ponies she knew? If that was true, it didn't settle well with her.
There was a knock on the door, disturbing Fluttershy from her thoughts. Fluttershy signed, got up and went to the door. Opening it to reveal Twilight who was smiling softly, but her sadness filled eyes spoke differently. Little filly, Nyx was standing next to her and looked a bit sleepy like she had been dragged out of bed for literally no reason. Fluttershy stared at Twilight, worriedly before she heard her friend's small voice ask her.
The mother and daughter pair walked into the cottage living room. Nyx moved forward and hopped onto the sofa as she watched the lavender alicorn and cream pegasus talk. The young black alicorn reincarnation let her horn glow as she began to read a book that had been on her back.
Fluttershy looked nervously and confusionly at Twilight and asked.
''Twilight? Why have you and Nyx come here?''
''...I got something to tell you, Fluttershy....About Timid...''
''Timid? About what?''
''Do you know anything about her origins and why she has high leveled magic?''
''No...''
''Well, remembers those years ago when we were in love...... I actually found a spell that could make me pregnant with your foal.....''
Fluttershy gasped and the thought of where Timid came from got to her but then something rang clean in her mind.
''B-but, I never saw you pregnant?''
''That's cause, I speed it up and gave birth that night. The foal had heterochromia and was a unicorn, something I choose to make her normal unlike Nyx....''
The alicorn filly looked up for a second before hopping back into her book which interestingly was on cutie marks and ways to help others understand their talents.
''But Timid was said to be about a month old when I found her...''
''That's cause she was. I managed to hold onto her for that time but I knew that I would have to tell you. Nyx was the only one who knew about her adoptive/half-sister but even then, I couldn't focus and eventually left her on your door....''
''So, you gave her to me........Should we tell Timid, Twi?''
''Yes, and I still love you, Flutters and would like to continue our family as a full.''
Fluttershy smiled and leaned in for a kiss. Nyx finished her book and looked up, smiling.
The next morning, Timid woke up and walked downstairs to see Twilight, Fluttershy and Nyx sleeping on the sofa.
''Mama?''
''Ah, morning, Timid.''
''Morning....''
''You know the question you asked me yesterday. Well, Twilight, here, is your true mama and I could be called your papa but if you wanna do it the way you have since birth you can.''
Twilight woke up and smiled.
''Your mother is right, Timid?''
''So....Mama is now papa? And Auntie Twilight is Mama?''
''Yep.''
The filly smiled and hugged her parents. Nyx woke up and saw the hug. Smiling, the alicorn foal hopped off the sofa and joined the hug. They just sat there for a few minutes, hugging.
Timid Butterfly is now 5 years old and ready to go to school with her friends. Cream Puff being the oldest but the Cakes twins not far behind. The youngest were Quartz and Tootsie Flute, a pegasus and unicorn twin pair to Amethyst 'Sparkler' Star. Timid had taken a liking to books but still was like her name, timid like her 'father', Fluttershy.
Being a unicorn to a alicorn and a pegasus was a bit weird but Timid liked it. She loved to practice her magic which was even at the age of 2 months, strong and high leveled. A trait, she knowingly got from Twilight. Timid had a pet butterfly by the name of Dream who rode of her left ear all the time. Dream was a pink monarch butterfly who cared deeply for Timid.
Dizzy Hooves, a small unicorn who was Timid's friend had grown up to be as clumsy as her mother but also had a few smart traits that her older sister, Dinky was known for. Then, there was Pumpkin and Pound Cake, the Cake twins. Pound was now a fast flier that if he was any faster, some would question if he could beat Rainbow Dash in a flying race.
Pumpkin had a liking to baking and magic and was Twilight's star student already. She had also earned her cutie mark, but surprisingly it wasn't showing one talent, it showed two. Cooking and Magic as it was a bowl filled with pumpkin soup with a glowing star hovering above.
Cream Puff, the oldest of the group, had too earned her cutie mark. In a similar field, baking. She was good at making cream puffs which was shown by the 3 cream puffs on her flanks. Cream had also styled her hair into pigtails and developed a crush of Pound Cake.
Tootsie Flute had developed a idol in a unicorn mare by the name of Lyra for Lyra's lyre playing but was also intrested in flowers. It made others question on what was gonna be her talent, gardening or something musical like her name.
Quartz, Tootsie's twin brother, was always on the look out for danger and idol-ed Rainbow Dash similar to Scootaloo who had her cutie mark now and was Rainbow's honorary sister despite being earth-bounded.
Timid's pov.
I woke up, hopped off my bed carrying a teddy in a magic. My teddy landed on my back as I ran to my vanity table which I began searching it, soon I found what I was looking for. A pale pink ribbon that formerly belonged to my big sister's friend, Applebloom but she gave it to me for good use. It tied it into my mane, carefully leaving my bangs alone and making sure that my ponytail which it was holding it was straight.
I ran downstairs, carrying my saddle bags in my magic laying them down on my back as I ran down the crystal stairs. Nyx obviously heard me as she looked out of her door with a half in teal headband.
''Timid? Your already up?'' whispered Nyx still tired. I heard her but ignored her to run into the library part of the huge castle. The library was huge to a small 5 year old filly that was me, even mommy, a mortal alicorn who was slightly bigger then her friend was small to it.
I ran to the staircase and was down it in a flash, only stopping at the bottom to breath. Mommy and daddy were in the throne room chatting before catching sight of me.
''Morning, Timid.'' said mommy smiling.
''Morning, mommy'' I said, bouncing up and down.
''Good morning, Butterfly.'' said daddy, using her nickname for me.
''Morning!''
''Ready for school?''
''Yep.... Hey, mama. What was Nyx like when she started school?''
''Well, your sister was nervous, very nervous. But soon came to love school, a lot thanks to her love of learning and her friends.''
''Well, I'm not much of a learner pony like Nyx but I love having friends and reading!''
''Is that all?''
''Wait, why does Nyx have wings and a horn and be immortal when your mortal, mama?''
''...Well, Nyx isn't technically my daughter....How about I tell you when your older as her cutie mark story comes into it?''
''Okay!''
''Time for school. Me, Nyx and Flutters will walk you there.''
''Yay!''
Outside of the adorable red schoolhouse. The group smiled and said goodbye to Timid who timidly walked into the backyard. All her excitement had mostly dropped due to being highly shy. She soon caught sight of a group of fillies who she knew so well.
''Guys!'' yelled Timid as she ran towards them.
The group smiled as they saw the young unicorn princess run to them. The wonky eyed unicorn that was Dizzy actually ran forward and jumped on her causing them to roll on the floor laughing. The group giggled with the pair as Dizzy got up, her eyes even more wonky then before but soon went to their normal derp. She saw Timid laughing on the floor and offered her a hoof to stand up.
Timid smiled and took the hoof only to hear the laughs of two foals. Soon a colt and a filly appeared in the part of the yard where Timid and her friends stood.
''Pumpkin Cake. Your the princess's prize student and have your cutie mark yet you hang around with these BLANK FLANKS!'' yelled the filly.
The filly was pink and had a white and golden streaked mane that had a tiara in it. The tiara was sliver and implanted with rubies, the foals didn't know if they were real or not and didn't really care. The colt was a sliver and slightly smaller then the filly. He had a grey mane that was streaked with black. The pairs eyes were the same demon-like red and they were both unicorns.
Both had they cutie marks too. The filly's cutie mark was a pill of golden bits with a sliver tiara on to with the same rubies implanted as the one on the filly's head. The colt's cutie mark was a spoon with a few bits in it. Both were rich and the younger siblings of Diamond Tiara and Sliver Spoon, two very rich business mares.
''And you!'' yelled the filly, catching her eye on Timid. ''Timid Butterfly. Your desciption says your a princess and your the younger sister of Nyx. But where's your wings?!''
''W-wings?'' murmured Timid as Dizzy got in front of her to protect her from the insults.
''Leave Butterfly alone!'' yelled the wonky eyed unicorn.
''Oh what you gonna do, DERPY JUNIOR!''
''D-Derpy J-Junior!?'' growled Dizzy but her speak had altered. ''I'M NOT DERPY, THAT'S MY MOMMY AND YOU WILL NEVER INSULT ME OR HER FOR OUR DISABILITY!''
Her friends stepped back, not willing to get close to the outraged friend as they all had come in counter with this side to the ditz before. When she got mad, nothing could calm her down apart from Timid who was still focused on the insult that was thrown at her. Even the filly stepped back for a second before taking the temper to her goal.
''Well, if you didn't have those EYES then maybe you wouldn't be called Derpy Junior.'' said the filly in a mocking tone.
Dizzy looked upset and angry at the same time and looked like she was gonna scream or lash out till a hoof reached over her shoulder and she heard a whisper. Her friends and the bully looked confused as Dizzy slowly calmed down and looked at who had calmed her. It was Timid and was smiling calmly.
''B-Butterfly?...'' mumbled Dizzy looking like she didn't know what happened but shock dreched her face when she realized. ''I-I got m-mad again didn't I?'' Her voice getting quieter with each word.
''Yes you did but your calm now.''
Her friends signed in relief that they didn't have to worry about their friend getting outraged at them for some reason. Timid turned to the bully while gently calming a crying Dizzy who was mumbled sorry every so often.
''Never bully Dizzy about her disability, Ruby.''
Ruby Tiara huffed.
''Come on, Sliver Bit.''
The colt, Sliver Bit followed Ruby as they walked off leaving the foals alone.
Pound flapped his wings and looked angry.
''Oh, I hate Ruby Tiara!'' he screamed.
''Oh calm down, Pound. Your upsetting Dizzy even more.'' scolded his twin.
''He's right, Pumpkin.'' mumbled Quartz but not as loud as to not upset the crying filly even more.
Timid turned on her bed, panting faintly as a dream gripped her. Her face turned into fear and her hoof gripped her blanket. She blinked back a frightened tear as she turned again.
The dream, Timid's pov.
I ran, daring to look back at the monster that was chasing me. It appeared to be a bear with tentacles coming out of it's belly. And a hook for one of it's paws. It was huge, 4 times my size easily and it terrified me. It's hook slammed down shaking the rough earth causing my hooves to side and me to fall over in a tremble.
''H-help....'' I mumbled in fear as the monster stepped forward to me. I forced my eyes shut, not willing to see my end even if it was just a nightmare.
A flash gripped into my closed eyes willing me to gently open it. The monster was down and burnt in several places and was darker in color and black in places.
Before me stood a beautiful filly. She had a cream-yellow coat that shimmered, a flowing purple mane with a streak of pink with the same from the tail but it wasn't a streak, it was half of the tail. Her eyes were shut at the moment. I saw a long horn on her head, for a filly it was huge, double the length of my horn easily.
Her eyes opened and shimmered under the light of the full moon over head. One eye was purple, the other pink and the pink one had the finest shimmer of light that I had even seen, she turned gently and looked up at the sky. Her body was clothed in a long elegant dress but it didn't hide a pair of white wings. A alicorn?!
I made a audible gasp that caught the filly's attension. She turned and leaned forward asking.
''Are you alright?''
Her voice was light and had a tone of a harp, musical and fine. Something that reminded me of a fairy tale princess or possible Princess Luna.
''Y-yes...'' I mumbled, gently getting to my hooves before falling back to the ground with a yelp of pain. My hoof. I looked at the back hoof that hurt and it was clearly sprained and red.
The filly gasped and flapped her wings. She came back soon with a soaked cloth with she carefully wrapped around my hoof. I looked at her being careful not to move as to hurt it.
''There..'' said the filly, smiling gently. ''May I ask for your name?''
''T-Timid.....B-Butterfly....'' I mumbled, not even knowing why I was stuttering. Was it the fear of being attacked or was it because of the presence of a princess.
''My name is Angel Wings. I'm what you could call a alicorn but I truth I'm a angel.''
''A angel?''
''Yes. Now, you must go back to the real world as you are gonna wake up.''
As, she said this. The dream world began collapsing and even the moon collapsed into nothing. I knew what was gonna happened and let it but still wanted to know more about Angel Wings.
I woke up with Angel Bunny sniffing me as if to say 'you okay'.
''I'm fine, Angel Bunny.'' I said, stroking the fur on his neck with my hoof. Who was Angel Wings? Why was she an alicorn? And why did she look like me. Those three questions rose to the top of my mind but ignored them for the moment and fell back into deep sleep.
Timid sat in her class, horn aglow as she wrote down the essay that her class was meant to write. She wasn't enjoying it unlike others would. Her essay was on butterflies and how they reproduce. She looked up at the clock that was at the front and quite a way away from her seat in the back row. It was nearly recess and that's when the essay stopped.
The class had been preparing for this essay for a while by collecting pictures or objects related and they were to do a presentation about it after break, something Timid was nervous about. She finished the writing and looked at her stack of pictures and leaves. She picked them up with magic, along with the glue and carefully, being as delicate as possible so they didn't break, she glued them to the paper. Her horn glowed one last time to quicken up it's drying so that it be dry by the time they came back inside.
Her gaze turned to a unicorn filly that was sat next to her. She smiled, she was happy to be placed next to Dizzy. Dizzy was busy doing a essay about her rather large family. At the moment, there was a lot of writing, pictures of her mom and sisters but her niece and nephew aka Tootsie Flute and Quartz weren't there yet.
Her gaze changed again to the pegasus and unicorn that was sat in front of her and Dizzy. Pound and Pumpkin. Pumpkin was doing about magic and Pound was doing about Sugar Cube Corner. Pumpkin's horn glowed brightly as she wrote what spells she could cast and spells that she knew but couldn't do yet. Pound looked slightly annoyed, probably cause he wanted to do about flying but the twins were told that at least one of them had to do about Sugar Cube Corner and Pumpkin choose to do magic.
She couldn't see her other friends works so just continued her work by cleverly drawing some butterflies and flowers onto the page to add detail and effect to it. Her horn gleamed gently to pick up the crayons and draw with them. In the end, the causal white paper was a flower and butterfly covered field with a bunch of writing in different areas and a good few pictures.
''Okay, class. It's time to stop.'' said Cheerilee, who was stood at the front watching the group of foals and mainly her own daughter, Apple Flower. Apple Flower was a mulberry earth pony with bright orange hair that was in a plait like her Aunt Apple Jack's, Her eyes were similar to Timid, odd colors. One was the apple family green and the other was orange like her Aunt Applebloom. She also had triangle freckles on her cheeks and had a cutie mark which was a apple with a flower behind it.
Everypony including Timid looked up at the teacher smiling. Most cause they were happy to finally go outside, others cause they had finished. The bell rang and everypony scampered outside in a mob apart from Dizzy, who wasn't allowed to run cause of her eyes and Timid, who didn't really wanna play outside if it meant being bullied by Ruby Tiara and Sliver Bit and there new member Apple Flower.
''Come on, Butterfly.'' murmured Dizzy, looking down and didn't show much emotion so Timid couldn't tell if she was mad or sad.
''Dizzy.........''
''Let's go...''
Recess was over quickly, rather to the happiness of Timid as neither she or her friends had encountered the bullies. Her memories didn't really want her to encounter them anyway but even at a distant, she could still hear them commenting on 'blank flank' 'blank flank' like all bullies.
Her mind slowly slipped back to Angel Wings. She looked a lot like her but seemly older and a alicorn or what she called a 'angel' which probably went on the idea of her name. But once again, the same three questions appeared. She shook her head to ignore them for now and stood on the step outside of the schoolhouse waiting for Dizzy.
The wonky eyed unicorn wasn't long and with her blue wonky eyes on Timid, she bounced up the steps and hugged her best friend.
''LETS GO!'' yelled Dizzy, exciendily.
''Wow, yer a energetic BLANK FLANK, aren't ya?'' said a filly from behind them with a southern accent that the Apples spoke.
It was Apple Flower and she looked crueler then ever.
''Don't think ya'll win. After all, mah mom is the teacher and yer projects stink!''
Dizzy growled under her breath telling Timid that she was about to go into rage. She gently whispered in Dizzy's ear as a attempt to calm the young filly down.
''You bullies better leave Dizzy alone. You know she can't handle being bullied and could take it out of everypony and even those she loves.''
Flower took a step back before stepping forward with Sliver Bit glaring at them.
''Sliver, you may.''
Sliver grinned and ran forward on her grey hooves, faster then the two fillies had seen him run. His horn glowed demon red as he locked Dizzy in a bind and before Timid could react, he jumped on her and began beating her up heavily. Dizzy cried out wanting to help her friend. Timid looked faint and was about to faint.
Her horn was glowing allowing the light of her magic to circle the binds as to attempt to free Dizzy so she could go get help. It eventually worked and Dizzy cried as she ran to go find Mrs Cheerilee.
''P-please be okay, Timid...'' muttered Dizzy with a sorrow to her voice and didn't even notice herself call Timid by her first name.
Timid panted as the colt on top of her attacked her harshly. She was coated in bruises and cuts from where he dug hes a lit horn into her skin. It burned in every place where there was a cut. Her eyes blinked as she slowly fell unconscious. The last thing, she heard before fully felling unconscious was.
''Timid!'' It was a grief ridden voice then she recognized but didn't know who it was.
A light shone into Timid's closed eyes, she slowly cracked them open not wanting the light anymore. How long had she been out for?
'Sorry....Dizzy....' thought Timid, sorry for having Dizzy being upset.
''Timid!''
A scream drove her out of her thoughts at the look at where the voice came from. A periwinkle filly stood on the bed, crying her wonky blue eyes out as her straw colored mane was messier then normal. It was Dizzy but when did Dizzy start calling her 'Timid'.
''Timid!'' yelled Dizzy again before she grabbed hold of Timid, hugging the cream-yellow unicorn tightly. ''Timid...! I w-was w-worried t-that you wouldn't wake up! T-then the doctors said that Sliver had burned you with his magic in the form of cuts. I was so upset!!''
She openly cried in Timid's shoulder as the filly stroked the straw colored mane of the unicorn. She frowned with tear glistened eyes, upset that she had caused her friend to cry. She didn't wanna hear the relief yet grief drenched crying but knew she had no real choice and she didn't wanna leave Dizzy anyway.
When Dizzy finally looked at Timid, her eyes weren't wonky. They were like any other pony but it was likely she was focusing them to look the same way so she could see Timid straight.
Fluttershy and Twilight walked into the room and saw their daughter awake.
''Timid! Thank goodness your awake.''
Nyx was flapping her wings so she could see her younger sister.
''W-where's everypony else?'' Timid forced herself to speak.
''They at school, Dizzy was alone to skip as her mom said to she could see how she's your best friend.'' said Twilight, as she looked at the periwinkle unicorn that was hugging Timid.
Timid slowly shifted and went to move off the bed only to have Dizzy stop her still with normal eyes.
''Uh huh! No moving till your okay.''
''B-but.. The school talent show....Is tomorrow....So if I have to be here I will miss it...''
''Oh yeah....'' mumbled Dizzy realizing that she had upset Timid.
''Talent show?'' mumbled Nyx, landing on the bed.
''Yeah....School is holding a talent show.... I was gonna bring in some butterflies and show what they are in a presentation.''
''Oh...''
''You can go Timid but don't force yourself. I mean that colt burnt you.'' said her mother as her father nodded.
''Thank you, mommy, daddy.''
The daytime the next day.
The huge stage was set and the fillies were either learning their talents her helping build sets. Timid was standing with some butterflies and was talking to them. A gift that she had inherited. She loved animals and butterflies were her favorites.
Besides her was a loop that was twice the wing length of a avenge butterfly. This was one of the things her butterflies were gonna preform.
''Come on guys. In order and through the loop.''
The butterflies got into a order that Timid had thought them to do. The first butterfly flew through and was soon followed one by one of the others. Timid smiled.
''Good. Now...''
She looked at a flowing obstacle course. It consisted on things the butterflies had to fly through, under or over and it was floating due to being wrapped in Timid's magic.
''One by one now or you'll get hurt.''
The first butterfly flew over to Timid and slowly but surely pasted the obstacle course and encouraged the others to do it. Timid slowly encouraged each and every one of the multicolored flying creatures along the courses. She smiled.
''Okay, everyone. Back to the loop then through obstacle course again then you can have a break.''
The butterflies did as they were told being very good and soon they went off for their break which was just as Cheerilee walked up to the young filly.
''Timid Butterfly, I wasn't expected you to be here after that incident yesterday.''
''Well, I didn't wanna miss it and I don't think my butterflies would be happy if that training went to waste.''
''Your right. Well keep up the good word and by the way, my daughter wants to have a word with you.''
''Apple Flower, a word with me?...''
She looked around and saw the young earth filly carefully staking some apples on top of each other in a pyramid like thing.
''A-Apple...F-Flower?...'' mumbled Timid, as she walked forward.
The filly looked up at the unicorn and soon tears rolled down her face.
''I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I didn't want to do it! But they forced me!''
''Huh?...''
''...I should start from the beginning shouldn't I....''
''That might be better.''
''Well, when ah first started school....ah was unlike the other fillies havin' come from a huge family thus ah got bullied. As you know, ah used to live in Manehatten which didn't really like Apples....But when mommy came here with mah daddy and me....ah thought it was better and thus earned my cutie mark but...then Ruby and Sliver came to me and asked me to bully you....I didn't want to but they forced me too!''
Apple Flower began crying heavily. Timid slowly wrapped her hooves around the crying filly and slowly moved to a sit and stroked Flower's mane. The crying filly slowly calmed under the comfort.
''Thank you....''
''For what?''
''For comforting me and forgiving me....''
''I like how you apologized. Everypony deserves a second chance.''
''E-even me?''
''Yes, even you.'' said Timid with a smile.
''Then....Can I help with the butterflies....? My work isn't much....''
''Sure. I needed a bit of help getting some of the other stuff and training to butterflies there anyway.''
''Okay. Where are they?''
''Back at the castle. Just stay here and make sure that my magic keeps glowing on that obstacle course and even if it doesn't. Make sure it stays together.''
''Okay. Where are the butterflies?''
''Having a break. Back a second.''
Her horn glowed as she teleported to the castle. Flower waited and kept her eye on the floating obstacle course. A light flashed and Timid appeared carrying a box on her back.
''Here we go.''
She put them down. Inside was a butterfly sized trumpet, piano and drums.
''Musical?''
''Yep. In the background certain butterflies will be doing this.''
Also in a box was a mini trampoline for the butterflies and a rope.
''A rope and a trampoline?''
''I train a group of butterflies to do this do to add a bit more into the show.''
''Um...If you don't mind me asking, why don't you having a cutie mark for butterfly training?''
''Hmm..I don't know?''
''Oh...''
Later that night.
Apple Flower hid in the black cape she was wearing. Timid looked at her newly friend who was clearly nervous.
''It be okay, we trained them a lot.''
''Ah know but ah never did anything with butterflies.''
''I could see that when you were working with them.''
''...I guess but lets just have fun.''
''Yep.''
''Flower, Timid your up.'' said Mrs Cheerilee as she pasted the two.
They got off their box and throw their capes off. Apple Flower had her normal plaited mane up in two pigtails and Timid had a french braid that Apple Flower had helped her with. They were wearing cute pink costume that were covered with multicolored butterflies.
Their parents were in the crowd along with their siblings. On Big Mac's lap was Apple Flowers little sister, Blossom who was strangely a unicorn but that was explained by distant relatives of Cheerliee. The filly was red but had the pink streaked mane that Cheerilee had and the same mismatched eyes as her older sister.
Timid started the show by nodded her head to the instrument butterflies which played a beautiful melody that sounded like her mother's hush now, quiet now song. Her horn glowed picking up the loop. Apple Flower gently told the butterfly to fly through in a calm way as to not scare the butterfly.
Next up was the obstacle course which Timid was in charge up. She blinked to Apple Flower who went to a higher level of the stage and began gently telling the butterflies to walk across the rope which they slowly did. The other butterflies began to jump and bounce on the trampoline and do tricks in the air.
Timid was doing a similar job with the obstacle course which was going good and the crown were cheerilee. Unnoticed by Timid though was the flash that came on her flank even though it was covered. The show was prefect and in the end, the pair had been chosen as the best performers and only then did Timid noticed her newly found cutie mark. A yellow, pink and purple butterfly with two smaller ones. Her parents praised her for the show.
Since the school play where Timid got her cutie mark, she had introduced her friends, mainly Dizzy to Apple Flower who became part of their little group. Dizzy soon earned her cutie mark, a bubble tornado showing her talent on making tornadoes on bubbles with magic. Then Pound earned his, a pair of blue wings that he earned after beating Rainbow Dash in a race, which by the way neither believed was possible prior to this despite everypony else believing he could.
The twins were the last to earn their cutie marks but when they did, it was a surprised and joy for their friends. Tootsie's was a flower to show her love for nature and nature's beautiful song. And Quartz had a amethyst stone which he got when he dug into the ground and found a group of amethysts showing his talent of collecting things, particularly gems.
The group warmly greeted Apple Flower despite the bullying she gave them before and the fact she got somepony to hurt their best friend but after explaining they greeted her like she was anypony. Though, whenever things went wrong, they tended to blame her but Timid usually got in the way of any fights going on because she knows that Apple Flower would be innocent, and not the culprit.
Now, Timid had been fainting constantly even in school scaring everypony. Her unconscious state lasted for from 5 minutes to up to a hour depending on the case. When she woke up, she said she felt fine but on the inside she was confused. Each time she fainted, she received a memory that wasn't hers and how long these memories were depending on how long she would be unconscious for.
A week pasted and the class was working in groups to do about a certain area of Equestria. They were only allowed to work in 3's or 4's so Dizzy, Timid, Apple Flower and Cream worked together while the the Cake Twins worked with Tootsie and Quartz. Timid's group was doing about the Crystal Empire because of her aunt and uncle living there while the twin group did about Cloudsdale due to having to two pegasi in the group which would make it easier for them.
Timid was good at collecting the information needed from her mom, dad and sister who had all been to the empire on the crystal ponies, the Crystal Heart and it's traditions. She was also able to collect about the Crystal Empire's history, from the reign on King Sombra to his defeat by the Royal Pony Sisters. And even on the present day history of the empire, about the attack and how Spike the dragon had saved the recently appeared empire from destruction at Sombra's hoof.
Suddenly, Timid's eyes went blank while she was sticking a picture of the Crystal Heart down, she rocked sideways in her chair, eyes rolling back in her head before slowly collapsing out of the chair, which caught to attention of Dizzy who was quickly next to the seat and caught her fainted friend, and stared at her with worried eyes that were both looking the same way. The rest of the group even gathered around, with worry filled eyes.
Timid's dream/Flashback in Timid's pov.
I woke up, there was a bunch of clouds around me and even beneath me. Wait clouds, if this is Cloudsdale then how I am standing here. I don't have wings, do I? I felt something on my back which sent a chill down my spine, I knew what they were even before I looked at the back with worry. A set of white wings were linked to my back and I was wearing a white gown that reached to my back hooves and covered my tail completely.
Angel Wings? This gown and white wings reminded me of her for a second, it was curious. I had only meet Angel in my dreams and so if this was possible, then was I her now or did I just look like her. It was so confusing, but I got my answer when a voice rang through my light cream ears.
''Angel! Come on! The ceremony is going to start soon and everypony will be wondering where their leader is.''
I look up, to try and find the source of the voice and soon enough, a small pegasus filly flown towards me calling me 'Angel'. The filly was pure black but had the same white wings and white gown that I had. Her eyes were as sliver as the moon and her mane was glistening gold that shimmered in the sun's light. Then I felt the scene collapse around, in blackness. Even the filly vanish.
Back to the real world, Dizzy's pov
Timid finally woke up, her mismatched eyes glisten as they opened. She looked awfully tired and glanced up at me with worried eyes, she didn't seem to know what had happened but at that moment, all I was interested in with crying and hugging her tightly. I felt her hoof stroke along my mane like she did whenever I was upset. It didn't calm me down as the tears collapsed down my face, I was just so worried for her, I don't know why she fainted but I didn't care. I was just glad that she was awake.
''T-Timid...Are you okay?'' I forced out through my tear drenched mouth.
''Yes, I'm fine, Dizzy.''
What I did next I didn't think before I had done it. I leaned up and soon our mouths touched as another tear ran down my face. I closed my eyes but I knew she had hers open in shock and possible, confusion. When I backed away, another tear left my eyes. I looked away from her and at the door, planning to run away.
''Dizzy? You?...'' I didn't let her finish.
''I'm sorry!'' and with that. I ran out of the room leaving my shocked friends and the worried, confused Timid. Why did I do that? Timid is my friend, nothing more. She must hate me now, who wouldn't after they do something like that. Deciding that I couldn't stay be with her any longer with losing my head, I ran away from the school house and towards the thick, dangerous Everfree Forest.
I looked at the door, shocked about what just happened. Dizzy kissed me? Why? I tried to think but nothing came to mind. But then again I was the closest to her in all the years we been friends. I gently reached my hoof to my lips and poudered for a moment and a image of our kiss came to mind. No. Dizzy is my friend but I can't ignore this anymore.
''I'm going after her!'' I got up and yelled at the others for teleporting out of the schoolhouse and ran in the direction, Dizzy went. It was the same direction as the Everfree forest. Wait the Everfree, she can't go in there! I can only hope I reach her before she does something she regret.
Dizzy's pov.
My eyes stung from the amount of tears falling down from there, my cheeks were shocked along with my muzzle. I can't even go home to mommy, Dinky and Amethyst now, I done something bad to my best friend and she probably won't forgive me anyway. I walked and soon the shade of trees appeared on the ground. I kept walking not even knowing I had entered the Everfree.
I walked and walked through the thicken and for some reason, I didn't pay attention to my surrounding till.
Growl! Growl! Roar!
I jumped into the air. A manticore! I saw it's paw appear out of the bush behind me and I scampered off scared of being eaten. I was chased till I reached a bridge leading to a old, abonden castle. The castle of the two Royal Pony Sisters?
''Dizzy! Dizzy!''
The voice that I heard was awfully close and caused me to dart across the long bridge and into the castle. Inside, I saw the stature were the Elements of Harmony once stood and hopped onto the base. I laid there till I was comfortable and soon fell to sleep.
Timid's pov.
I walked into the Everfree when I heard the growl and roar of a manticore. Dizzy better be okay! I ran yelling.
''Dizzy! Dizzy! Where are you!?''
Tears of frustration and upset rolled down my cheek. I wanted to see my friend all right. I prayed and I don't know who I prayed to but I prayed nevertheless to hopefully see my friend all right. My movements speed up and I was soon out of the dark part of the forest and into the sunny part where the castle of the Royal Pony Sisters stood.
Maybe Dizzy was in there. I bolted across the bridge with this ultra speed that I now had. When I was across, my horn lit up and I teleported inside.
A figure was on the base of the stature where the Elements of Harmony once stood. It was a bundle of periwinkle fur and straw colored hair with a small bubble tornado on the flank. I cried tears of joy knowing that the sleeping figure was my best friend.
''Dizzy!''
I leap at her and hugged her waking her up and she was probably looking at my in confusion and possible shock but I didn't care, I was happy that she was okay.
''Dizzy, don't ever go back into the Everfree again! Got that?'' I cried to her while hugging her heavily.
''...T-Timid? Why are you here? You should hate me!''
''How could I hate my best friend!?''
Her head moved back in shock as whatever other emotions left her face and she just looked confused and shocked. I leaned it and planted a feather light kiss on her wet cheek to calm her tears and then soon my kiss planted itself on her lips and I felt them return it in the same kiss which grow more and more passionate.
When we finally broke, our eye locked vision didn't change and all we did for a good five seconds was stare into each others eyes. I was the one to break this when I looked away.
''Did you not want that?''
''Of course I did, Timid....I love you...''
''I love you too.''
And with that, we were kissing again. Harshly with them getting more and more passionate and amazing with each kiss. Some of the last kisses had us battling for dominance in each others mouths with our tongues. How was I gonna tell my parents that I had fallen in love with my best friend but then again, at the moment nothing mattered.
But suddenly. A group of memories that I had received multiple times during the times I fainted appeared in my mind and I rocked back and forth till I felt a hoof grip around my back and faintly I could hear a voice calling out to be but I couldn't see or recognize who it was and soon the world turned black.
''Timid! Timid!''
A light wrapped around Timid as a sudden pair of pure white wings appeared out of her back. Beautiful they were but I was shocked about why this was happening? A flower tiara appeared around her head and a beautiful white gown appeared on her, all while she was out cold.
I looked at her eyes but they didn't open. I had to get her to hospital but I can't teleport and my tornadoes aren't designed to carry ponies and the Everfree was too dangerous to carry a unconscious filly through.
I shook my head, carefully picked her up. Lay her down on my back and gently walked out of the castle's huge doors. My horn glowed and a tornado appeared made out of bubbles hence my cutie mark.
''Please carry me and Timid to the hospital.''
It stopped moving and moved down to allow us to stand in it as it slowly passed through the trees carrying us. It dropped us off just outside of the hospital which was where it popped like a bubble does.
I carried Timid in, catching the attention of Nurse Redheart who instinctively came and asked what had happened which I explained. Redheart noticed the wings that had appeared on Timid's back and took her into one of the rooms to check on her till she woke up.
''Don't you have school, Dizzy Hooves?'' asked Redheart, looking at me.
''Yes, we do but...Something happened causing me to run out which is why she followed me into the Everfree.....''
I looked down at Timid who was laying in the hospital bed with a cold and damp towel on her head as she had a fever. Nurse Redheart checked on her and looked confused.
''It's like those wings were always there.''
''What?''
''What I mean is that her body has already gotten used to the fact she has a new body feature rather similar to Princess Twilight but this is a bit confusing. Like me call her parents.''
''Please be okay, Timid.'' I mumbled to her unconscious face.
The light pained into my closed eyes. I wanted to tell whoever was in the world of relity to turn the light off but then hooves wrapped around me. My wings caught the feel of whoever was hugging me. Wait wings? I looked behind me and saw the face who I only saw in flashbacks or dreams. Angel Wings.
''Looks like your finally figuring it, Timid.''
''Figure out what. Angel tell me?!''
''Your my reincarnation. I'm a fallen angel and when I hit the ground, my life burned leaving my best friend in depression. I wanted her to know that I lived and reincarnated myself only to find out that without your angel wings, cause of the spell your mother put on you, you could never soar to the heavens like a angel could. That's why, I gave you those memories and dreams, to communicate to you so you could meet Lily Soarin'.''
''Lily Soarin'?''
''My best friend. Now, go to the heavens. Meet her, you'll recognize her due to the flash backs and you contain all my memories.''
''Wait, Angel! The heavens?''
''The heavens is a place that only angels can go. It's above the skis and beyond the cloud patch you, ponies call, Cloudsdale.''
''B-but, what about Dizzy?''
''Dizzy?''
''My best friend, a young periwinkle-grey unicorn. What about her?''
''Show me your memories of her.''
''Memories?''
''Yes.''
Angel tapped her wing on my head, just below my horn. I saw the memories that I shared with Dizzy, including the kiss.
''I got a odd feeling from this 'Dizzy'. It's almost like Lily?''
''Then your saying that Dizzy might be the reincarnation of Lily?''
''Possibly, but I don't think she will gain her memories unless she is visited by Lily's spirit like I did with you but considering the memories you share with her, you don't need her to remember the past.''
I nodded and focused on going back to the normal world.
''I see, you need to be with her. Go and bye, Timid.''
''Bye, Angel and thank you.''
Dizzy's pov.
I looked down at Timid, odd memories kept feeling my mind since Timid became a white winged alicorn and I didn't even noticed when my horn traded itself for a pair of white wings till Nurse Redheart pointed them out to me. This was confusing and weird and a word escape my mouth.
''Angel Wings?...''
I shook my head. No, Angel Wings, who is she? She's not Timid but looks like her... Lily... Memories surfaced to my mind. I was the reincarnation of Angel Wings' best friend, Lily Soarin', a suicidal angel pegasus who gave up her life to be with her best friend who reincarnated herself as Timid.
I didn't care if I was a reincarnation. I love Timid, not her former self. She is she, no pony else and never will be to me. I leaned forward and gently placed a light kiss on my forehead and smiled.
''Wake up soon...Timid...''
A faint gleam of her beautiful pink and purple eyes appeared on her face, her eyes opening slowly. I cried tears of joy, happy to see those beautiful eyes again.
''Timid! I'm glad.''
''I'm back, Lily no, Dizzy.''
She remembered too. No that didn't matter, all that mattered was the fact she was okay, that's all that mattered to me.
