(semi self insert) Cole gets transported unexpectedly right on top of the 2 princesses having tea..opps
Cole was backpacking with his dad in a forest, when suddenly next thing he knows, he falls down on to a table in the middle of a courtyard spilling tea all over the royalty drinking it.. will things go alright for Cole? (warning Mild Language) don't forget to like and follow! *note the first chapter is un- edited the story gets better with the way it is written as it goes along.*

Cole was walking in the lush colorful forest of the approaching fall in Virginia behind his dad, the sun's light bounced of his blond hair and his white skin and stung his hazel eyes, Cole easily towered over his dad at age 16, his dad only stood at 5.0 ft while He stood at 5.7ft. He and his dad always went backpacking the week before school returned. They where just walking along back to the car which was about a days walk away. Cole was dressed in a very dark grey T-shirt ,a dark green hoodie, blue jeans, and running shoes. On his back he carried, camping equipment (single tent, sleeping bag, flashlight, a pot, a pan, a spatula and silver were), hunting supplies (compound bow, hunting arrows (90), and a 10 inch long survival knife.), freeze dried food, canteen of water, clothing for a week, smartphone, iPod, chargers, a solar powered charging station, a camp guitar and a notebook with a pencil (for random ideas).
The two said nothing as they walked in the crisp fresh air that surrounded them. Cole felt a downwards tug on his sleeve like a child trying to get its mother's attention. He looked down only to see nothing there. Next his legs felt heavy as if someone had replaced his feet with anvils and then the feeling went as quickly as it arrived. Then something pushed him from behind sending him forwards towards his dad bumping into him.
Cole ricocheted of his dad and started falling towards the ground. He closed his eyes as the air rushed past his ears there was a deep *WUB* and Cole bounced off something that was obviously not the ground but just as hard, there was a by a sharp *gasp* of something be hind him, before hitting the ground on his chest along with shattering glass.
The first thing Cole noticed was the ground, it was not dirt mixed with wood , it was a perfectly cleaned cobble stone pathway. Pushing himself up ignoring his now aching arm bones he noticed beautiful white castle walls with windows with purple and gold frames. In front of him was a small set of stairs leading up to a set of large doors with the same gold an purple frame design as the windows.
"Sister, what is this creature that stands before us?" The mare giggles before saying "Oh, your covered in tea Tia." a young voice said from behind him
Cole spun around to see he was in the middle of the most beautiful courtyard he had ever seen and he was standing on a giant circle of cobble in the center of the yard. there where three paths in total. One going left and the other right going to more doors and of coarse the one behind him. in front of him was a garden with 2 alicorns in front of it one had a white coat with a picture golden sun on her flank with her rainbow mane was flowing from an unseen wind or at least part of it was, she was covered in tea and obviously mad and surprised.
The other had a coat as blue as a moon lit sky a picture of a moon on her flank, a dark and light blue mane, much like her sisters flowed with an unseen wind, it also looked like there where stars twinkling in her mane. "Hello strange creature! My name is Luna Princess of the moon! she said rather loud but not quite enough to hurt his ears. "and this is my sister Celestia Princess of the sun!" Luna yelled again waving a hoof towards her sister.
Cole looked over at Celestia and said "Hi" in his mind he was flipping out 'Where the hell am I?... Hi? that's all I can think of to say? good lord I am an moron!'
Celestia took a deep breath and said "Guards! Capture this creature for study at once!"
From the left and the right of him came the cry of deep voiced guards in unison "Yes Princess" they said, Cole looked left as a spear from the right whizzed by his face cutting his cheek and drawing blood. He quickly turned around and fled down the path he woke up in front of with a strange surge of strength and speed.
Luna's horn stopped glowing as the spell she preformed was done, giving the creature a fair advantage over the guards for a bit would be fun to watch and to keep Tia from locking it in a cage for the rest of its natural life from her anger.
Cole flung open the door as another spear came flying by and sunk into the wood frame right above his head. Cole ran as fast as he could cursing so much a sailor would be offended by his language. Then it dawned on him ' How am I running this fast? I shouldn't be able to run far let alone sprint like this.' he thought to himself as he ran down the beautifully lit hallways. He would of have stopped to admire the architecture if he want so focused on running away. Cole rounded another corner and saw what looked like a front door with four more guards blocking his way. One was flying, two had spears pointed at him in what looked like a telekinesis grasp of magic and one just stood there obviously new to the force and completely overwhelmed at the days events and the fact of an unknown creature that was coming right at him.
Cole took advantage of the situation, the unicorn guards threw there spears at him, with a bit of luck he caught one as the other ripped threw his other cheek drawing more blood but not deep enough to make a hole. He turned the spear around so the tip was facing the scared guard who freaked out and dogged him as he came running past. The Pegasus guard started to dive at Cole but received the butt of a spear to the chest and sent him and the spear to the ground.
Cole pulled the large doors open quickly to be met with the evening sunlight and more guards. they had obviously had not received orders about him yet because they let him by with a few strange looks. In no time he had made it out of the castle gates into the city when there was a shout from behind him "stop that creature!" it yelled. Cole had no time to look back to see who it was. He was too busy making his way towards the train station by the way of pointing wooden signs. ' Escape, that all I need to do, escape' he thought to himself as the smoke of the train rose in the distance.
When he got there the train was starting to pull away from the station it looked as if part of it was made of candy ' all aboard' he thought as he ran after the caboose. He grabbed the rail on the car and jumped on, that's when he realized all the way he had been running the ponies where ether screaming in terror or running away from the sight of him.'They all think I am some kind of monster...damn.' He rode until it came to its first stop. 'Welcome To Ponyville' the Sign said.
When Cole left the train he quickly looked around and saw the tops of trees from a forest near the edge of the small town 'I bet loose these ponies in there' He started to run through the town. The road was made of stone bricks, The houses looked like back in the ye old days with thatched roofs and visible wooden beams.
He heard a thick country accented voice say "Twilight its over here! " out of nowhere an orange pony with blond hair a cowboy hat and a mark of three apples appeared in front of him.
She seamed to be holding a lasso in her mouth and was spinning it quickly. With a bright flash a lavender unicorn with Dark indigo mane with pink and purple stripes through it appeared, a star shaped pattern on her flank. She was levitating a book in front of her flipping the pages like a mad man until she found what she was looking for "Watch out Applejack it says here that they are smart and cunning." Twilight said.
Applejack smiled and said "don't you worry nothing sugercube a critter is a critter no mater what." and with that she had fling the rope as Cole came near. 'I need that book' He thought to himself as he saw the rope coming. Quickly he unsheathed his knife and got ready coming to a full stop. he put is hands in the air and the rope went around and tightened at his chest. In one fluid motion Cole cut the rope leaving the lasso to fall apart. He started sprinting again, as he passed twilight he grabbed the book from the air and cradled it like a football. He ran straight to the forest passing some very surprised ponies on the way there.
He ran right past a shack that was surrounded by wild life and a small yellow Pegasus with a pink mane and three butterfly as a mark on her flank, she did a small "eep!' as he passed.
He ran right into the forest, found a hole in the ground beneath a tree and collapsed from being tired.
"Fluttershy! Let us in!" Twilight yelled at the yellow pony's front door, the shack was a large short tree that had been carved into, with a white picket fence out front. "I got her" said a cyan colored, Rainbow maned, mark of a cloud with rainbow lightning, Pegasus said "Are you sure you got her Rainbow dash darling?" a white colored purple maned unicorn with three diamonds as a mark on her flank asked. "of course she does Rarity" a competently pink pony with three balloons on her flank. said Her mane witch is poofey as hell was only only a couple shades darker than the rest of her body. "or my name isn't Pinkie Pie!" Pinkie said with glee.
After much debating and Rainbow seeking in by window. The six sat down inside and Twilight started explaining what the princess wanted them to do.
"I got this letter from the princess earlier this afternoon. She wants to know if this creature that got into Canterlot castle and escaped after causing a mess is dangerous. Apparently there is a spell to track creatures by there blood (holds up a small vial of red liquid.) This is a sample from the spears that hit. The Princesses want us to observe this creature. My book identifies it as a Human we would know more about it but it took the book from me while it was escaping.
We will start tracking it tomorrow in the morning." All the ponies nodded there heads in understatement except Fluttershy's who did a soft wimpier. "Whats wrong Fluttershy?" Rainbow asked "W-well Its the e--everfree f-forest." she said softly. "We are going to need your expertise of the forest in order to help track it... please?" Twilight asked. "Well... ok... if thats you want.". The ponies agreed to meet at sunrise the next day to begin the expedition into the forest.
The Rouge Enemy of The Ponies That are Chasing Me is My Friend?
The six mares met under the edge of the menacing canopy of the forest at Twilight. Each of the mares had packed the bare minimum, food, water, tents, sleeping bags, plenty of notebooks and survival guides, and the most powerful magic known to pony kind, elements of harmony.
"We all set?" Twilight said while going through a checklist for her observation supply's.
Each of the other mares gave a small nod and they entered the forest "Twilight darling I hate to intrude on your personnel business but where is spike?" "oh, he is back home for his own protection." "That makes sense don't want him getting hurt now do we."
Once they entered the wood Twilight took half a drop of the humans blood and cast the spell. Twilight could see what looked like a vapor trail like a narrow, long cloud going strait into the forest it showed how long ago the human was there if Twilight wanted it to.
"Did the spell work twilight?" Rarity said out of curiosity "I think so. Do you see the cloud trail?' "No" "Then yes I guess it is working." "Okiedokie Lets go!" Pinkie squeeled with glee
ONE HOUR LATER
The mares have been walking for about an hour now except pinkie who was bouncing circles around them the entire way blabbering on pure brilliance (nonsense but don't tell pinkie) like "DoyouthinkHumanslikecupcakeshowaboutchocolatemaybechocolatecupcakeswithchocolatesprinklesandchocolateicing. she paused to inhale deeply. Doyouthinkthinktheydoforfun?Dotheylikeparty pinkie gave a sharp gasp Whatiftheyneverhaveparties?Thatwouldbehorrible!"
"Pinkie" Applejack said in a semi annoyed tone "Ya?" "Could you maybe tone it down a bit you are going to alert the critters possibly the Human." "okie-dokie-loki!" Pinkie said with glee
The mares continued on keeping an eye out for any creatures pinkie might have disturbed for about 5 minutes before Twilight said in a wispier "Everypony stop and hide behind that bush." The mares quickly followed orders and hid behind the pointed out bush. A yard away they could hear light breathing coming from a hole in the ground under a tree.
"Whats the matter Twi?" Applejack asked "Its in that hole sleeping." Twilight said in a half nervous half excited tone "oh no!"Pinkie aid in a Wisper yell "What?" "I-I Gotta-a-a!" Pinkie said before a great Big "ACHOOOOO!!" so loud it caused an echo.
All the ponies except Pinkie face hoofed "Ow" Fluttershy said accidentally poking herself in the eye. "Rainbow, Fluttershy fly up into the tree tops to watch for danger and to keep an overhead view of the specimen. AJ, Pinkie you hang back to the sides for capture in need be. Rarity and I will hang behind it in a camouflage spells, got it?" all the ponies nodded.
"But Twilight I don't know that spe-" Rarity was cutoff by Twilight taping her horn to Rarity's. The knowledge of stealth and defensive spells came flowing in like a River rushing out of a newly broken beavers dam. "Oh, thanks darling"
the ponies took there positions and started to wait.
Cole was Softly awoken by some one sneezing loudly. He opened his eyes to the dimly light hole he was in. 'Where am I?' He thought for a moment remembering the previous days events . He parted his lip and spoke to nobody "I guess yesterday was not a dream, I am really stuck in this strange land" That's when the realization hit him... "I am going to be suck here, no school there is a plus but no family , friends or any kind of humans at all. Coles eyes started to tear up. As far as he knew he was stuck in some strange land where humans did not exist. 'The book!' Cole picked up the book off the floor of the hole and climbed out for better light. He looked at the cover.
'Creatures and Plants of Equestria: magic pocket edition ' the title said in golden letters, the book was not very big it was only about 12 pages long Cole opened to the first page. A snap of a twig nearby tore his attention away from the book and made him look at his surroundings quickly before returning to the page that was the table of contents and there was two things there.
Creatures and plants in nice hand writing. Cole flipped through the rest of the book's pages, they where all blank. Out of curiosity he flipped back to the contents an poked Creatures with his finger.
The pages started turning rapidly with alarming speed back and forth, when they came to a stop there was a list in alphabetical order of names and pictures, some drawn, others where actual color pictures.
The book had not changed in size or page number but as Cole flipped through it he saw that the pages would fade in and out as he turned. He started to flip through until he came to the. HU section he scanned the pages till he found Humans with a small stick figure like drawing, He poked the name to get the information.
The article was really short other than a short description and it saying how smart and cunning Humans can be, Cole took out his pencil and made some required changes, he changed Carnivore to Omnivore, he erased most of the information which was mostly about how Humans killed ponies in there sleep and other horrible things they did. That's when Cole read the last sentence of the article. "Luckily Humans are no more then a myth, a legend made to scare young ones into behaving so no need to worry." 'Well that answers that question'
Cole shut the book and put it into his bag to read more later he sat there wanting to cry but he knew this was not the time. A snap of a twig caught his attention. He took the bow out and drew a arrow from his quiver.' Better to be safe then sorry'
He looked at the direction he was running to the night before and started walking. After about 20 Min of walking and more Twigs snapping all around he had come to the conclusion that 4 beings where following him and monitoring him. Cole saw a clearing up ahead and decided to take a chance on some unknown predator to see him in the off chance there would be something to eat.
He entered the clearing it was a circle about as big as half a football field in length. As he did a pony that had a black coat, webbed mane and tail,completely blue eyes that didn't reflect any light, fangs, bent horn, insect-like wings, and holes in its legs. The only thing keeping him from shooting it was because, It appeared to have tears streaming down its face as it was running towards him. Cole watched as it tripped over itself and skidded to a stop at His feet.
It looked up at Cole and shrieked "aaaah! another monster, Please don't eat me!" Cole looked down at the creature and said "Relax i am not going to eat you, by the way what are you?" "I am a changeling" the changeling replied "You have a name?" "Changelings don't have names" "Then I name you John" Cole said in a heroic voice "John" John said while getting up " I like that." "Wait John did you say another monster?"
The changeling now named John tensed up and turned around and looked back the way he came. Out of the forest came the one not so famous mythological creatures Cole knew ,a Mantacore.
The part lion, bat, and squorpieon beast roared and started charging at them. "Get behind me!" Cole said as the Mantacore drew near, He raised his bow and pulled back the bow exhaled and releaced the string.
The Manicore became a Mantacorn in the last few moments of its life. The body tripped over it self slid forwards and stopped in the center of the clearing.
"Come on." Cole said as he started walking towards the carcass. He turned and looked back the changeling was eyeing the forest where Cole had come from "I wouldn't go in there." "Why?" John asked "Come here and I'll tell you" John followed Cole to the Center "What?" "I am being followed by 4 to 6 beings I believe to be ponies" The changeling had a look of understatement on its face "What is you're name?" John asked "Cole" "Well then Cole you have just saved my life Twice today." "How so?" "Ponies Hate changelings from attacks and invasion attempts from the past" "Ok then, but why are you not with other changelings?" "I left my hive mind and went rogue in search of better source of love." "love?" "Yes I feed on it" Cole pulled the arrow out of the Mantacorn "So what would happen if you went back to your hive-" "They would eat me alive on the spot." "So you are some kind of Bug pony?" "Yes I am." "How about you hang with me for a bit, I could use some company." Cole said feeling lonely "Sure and I could use the protection" Cole started to skin the Mantacore "Could you grab us some fire wood? We are going to camp here tonight." "ok" John said as he went in the direction the manticore came from.
The two new friends sat there as the sun went down. The Mantacore was nothing but bones a guts now.
The guts had been moved a fair distance from camp so the flies could feast with out bothering them. Cole had set up camp and was cooking the meat from the Mantacore.
"So" Cole said staring some conversation "do Changelings eat anything else?" "Um" John thought for a moment "We eat plants and Smaller instincts on occasion and other emotions too love is just the strongest. what do you eat?" "Humans are omnivores,which means we eat both plants and animals." "Do you eat ponies or changelings?!?!" The changeling said scooting a bit further away from Cole. "No no no never Ponies or Changelings!" John calmed down a bit.
They sat there in silence for a bit before John said "So does this make us friends?" "I guess it does." The two sat back and stared at the stars as the meat on the fire sizzled and poped. ==============================================================================================
Twilight and her friends had gathered together to make camp and they where already planing contact.
"Now what?" Twilight asked in a whisper. "We use the elements on them!" Rainbow whisperer. "I have ta agree with Rainbow, he seems dangerous and he openly admitted he ate meat, it just sends shivers down my spine." Applejack Whispered. "But we don't know enough about him!" Twilight whispered harshly "How do ya'll even know its a boy?" "He has a deep voice like my brother" "um.. I hate to be a bother but... I agree with rainbow too." Fluttershy said. "I have to disagree with you Miss Rainbow. Think of all the new designs I could make!" Rarity whispered lost in a daydream. "I say don't use the silly elements yet! We still need to throw a Welcome to Equestria party!" Pinkie said rather loud The ponies looked into the clearing and saw the Human up in its feet scanning the area with his weapon drawn
"John get up! We have compony." The human said The changeling John got up and gave him a stare. "What ?! I like puns!" The changeling looked out into the forest where the mares where watching. "You where right Cole there are six of them." "So you can see in the dark?" Cole asked. "Yes." "OK then" Cole said before turning to the mares direction. "Hey ! Why are you following me?"
Twilight stood there in shock as they where spotted easily, turning to her friends for advice she saw there where shocked as well.
Turning back to Cole the human and walking out of her hiding place "Hello! My name is Twilight Sparkle..." She said as she began introductions. ============================================================================≠===========================
Meanwhile at the Castle...
"Celestia!!" Luna yelled coming into her sisters bedroom to find her starring out the window
"I twas to busy yesternight and to tired last day to confront thou on the matter of how thou treated that creature not to mention you're guards wanting to take glory in killing strange things no matter what thou's order was!" Luna yelled
Celestia giggled and said " you always mix the old ways with the new ways of talking while you're angry, lulu its so adorable"
Luna sighed "just why you where angry my sister and tell me how we have foals for guards."
"Well we where talking about how discord played love maker with us the first time he ruled and that always makes me feel frustrated" Celestia explained "And I will make time to have a harsh word with my guards."
"By the way Tina?"
Celestia raised an eye brow
"You didn't tell twilight to capture the creature did you?"
Tia stiffened and frowned "I might have... Oh my ME! What did I send her to do!"
Luna chuckled " knowing her and her friends they are most likely already confronting and judging it."

Twilight had no idea what to do. The human was right there in front of her and her friends and she had no idea what to do! The human cleared its throat and spoke, "What do you want?"
Twilight was afraid, afraid of the beast and its changeling companion standing in the light of Luna's moon, afraid what would happen if this beast was not captured, and she knew just the spell to see if it was good or evil but she wasn’t sure if she should, her lips parted and spoke a single word that she knew she would regret later "Elements!" The tiara appeared on her head bright and glowing, and what looked like pure terror washed over the humans face as the beam of rainbow charged.
Cole had no idea what was going on, one moment he was looking in to the darkness at the ponies that had been following him and the next thing he knew they were surrounded in a glowing circle and started floating in the air as if they were possessed. He turned around to see John had just finished packing their stuff when he also saw what was happening, he fell to the ground sobbing about not wanting to be stone and other nonsense.
Cole turned back around just in time to see the rainbow split into two and hit them both and their stuff.
Twilight knew witch spell she had cast with the elements it was a judgement spell the receiver of the spell will be held in a bubble of energy that will look into their past and judge them on their actions, let them plead their case and either let them go or imprison them in stone... At least that was how the spell was supposed to work but she had never tried it with the elements before, the bubble the elements had cast around the Human and his companion was enormous. All she and her friends could do now was stare at the bubble until something happened Finally after what felt like hours Applejack asked, "What the blazes is that Twilight?"
Twilight sighed and started explaining what they just did.
POV Cole
Cole could only see white.. that was pretty much it, unsure if he was floating or standing he looked around and saw an unconscious John next to him and next to John was their stuff. He continued to look around until he heard a voice behind him.
"Hello, Cole The Human."
The voice sounded like a very proud man about in his mid twenties. Cole spun around only to see a purple light surrounded by five smaller lights each a different color but then they dissappered. “where are you!? Show yourself!” Cole looked around for the source of the voice.
“We are here.” Cole looked to the purple light that appeared in front of him. His mind was swimming with questions but the one that came out of his mouth was "who.. er.. what the hell are you?"
'Good first impression idiot' Cole told himself.
"We do not mind you asking questions, for we will answer all that we can." The light said "We are the Elements of Harmony."
'finally someone who can answer my questions.' Cole thought then he asked "where am I , I mean I know I’m in the spell that the unicorn cast but what is this world I have been flung in to?"
Before anything could happen the lights flew together and started shining bright magenta, and with a flash they took the form of a slim white girl with brown hair.
She was dressed in tan pants and a purple t-shirt with what looked like the periodic table of elements printed on it.
Cole couldn't help but stare, then she spoke in a voice that sounded like a fallen angel, "You are in a world called Equis in the country of Equestria, before you ask we do not know how you arrived here or what caused it."
She looked at Cole and smiled with a sigh. "Now comes the easy part."
Cole snapped out of his trance and asked, "Of what?"
"The judgement on your souls, to determine if you are worthy to continue on wards with a reward or if we need to turn you into stone forever, silly." she said giggling slightly.
Cole floated a step back and said "that was a bit morbid, and I am not done with all my questions."
The girl frowned slightly but only a bit and said "We my not answer all of your questions, only the important ones or the stupid ones."
"Ok.... Will I ever be able to go home?" Cole asked with a hint of desperation in his voice. She paused and looked at him with a straight face "Possibly, only time will tell." Cole looked crestfallen at that. "Does my Dad know where I have gone?"
"We can see other worlds but it looks like you hopped planes of existence." Cole opened his mouth to ask another question when the girl suddenly thrust a hand at cole and held the palm of her hand on his forehead "we have no time to answer more."
Cole looked over and noticed she was doing the same to John. There was a flash of light and the girl was gone and the lights floated above him once more.
"Cole the human and John the changeling, we have looked into your lives and we have both punishments and rewards to grant." The Elements said in the voice of the man that Cole had heard before.
About this time John was awake and started pleading for his life, "Please I was forced to, I had no choice!" He sobbed as tears started rolling down his black face, he started rambling on about how bad being a stone will be.
Until Cole put a hand on the changeling's shoulder, "Whatever happens I am next to you my comrade." John sniffled and nodded his head slowly.
"We as the elements of harmony find John the changeling guilty of attacking a wedding, beating an innocent, betrayal, and abandonment." John was shaking with fear. The elements continued " There is plenty of good He has done as well, some of these crimes he committed for the sake of survival so we’ll reward you, we will increase your lifespan to that of Cole, we shall also put an enchantment on you. This enchantment will make it easier for you to integrate into pony society. Some ponies may still shun you for being a changeling others that are naturally kind to others will show you that same kindness."
The elements looked to Cole and went silent while they looked into his past. John was happy he wasn’t stone, but when he looked at Cole all he could see was a look of pure worry. "You know John, I have done some terrible things in my lifetime.”
The Elements spoke "we will reward you for all of the good you have done in your life, but with this reward comes a curse. We will give you the ability to drain the magic from any pony you are around and use it as your own. With some training you may be able to master it.”
Cole looked slightly surprised that the elements could give him the ability to use magic. "Now for your punishment..." Cole tensed up he had forgotten about that. "We will turn you to stone for a month, after you may walk free." The elements sounded satisfied with the punishment. "Now stand in a conferrable position because you will be standing like that for a long time." Cole stood in a strong casual stance and prepared himself.
What he felt next was a tingling feeling in his feet moving up his legs, he looked down and saw they were turning to stone when he said "wait!" The spell stopped at his knees. "yes?" "John pass me my gear." Cole said reaching towards his friend. John pulled the gear towards him self then pushed it to Cole who put it on as soon as he got it. He thanked John and turned to the elements "Ok, please continue."
The spell continued to work its way up his body, as soon as the spell reached his belly he started humming the lyrics to a song that popped into his head "see you on the other side!" and the magic covered his head.
POV Twilight
Twilight and her freinds watched as the spell bubble dispersed lighting up the whole forest leaving a statue of the Human and a startled changeling next to it. Twilights horn charged as she was prepared for enything ,the changeling stagred towards them "I am John and he is Cole" John said pointing at the statue "he'll be back in a month, the elements left us a gifts." Jon said
"How can we trust you?!" Rainbow demanded
"I am not stone am I?" John said "No." Rainbow replyed Then there came a squeek and everypony turned to fluttershy. "Um, we could set up a test to see if he is....still evil." Fluttershy said softly "What did she say? she spoke so soft I couldn't hear her."
Twilight and her freinds had heard her perfectly they knew how to hear fluttershy at her quietest. "Good idea thats what well do." Twilight said and the others agreed. John stood there confused as ever sliped into an unconscious state and fell to the ground.
"We'll take them back to Canterlot. The Princesses will know what to do with them."
John was in a rare state of mind he was happy he was living in the castle he had come to take over, he had just passed the test that the Element barriers had set out for him it was hard to resist but they rewarded him afterwards.
The test was simple it was a mare they hired to act heart broken and weak, he could have just fed on the emotion and went on with his merry self with his belly full with a free meal, but he instead changed into a pony and showed her kindness to make her happier, when the elements came out of their hiding places and told him he passed he was overjoyed.
They had set Cole up in the center coart yard where he had first appered up on a stone pedestal and left him there until his awakening.
John had been in Canterlot for a week now and he had been counting down the days until Cole returned. “Only three more weeks to go!" He had hummed happily at the breakfast table later that morning, the princesses seemed to still watching him making sure he was not a threat, so he ate with the servants, maids, and guards at their table to lessen suspicion.
The only pony who actually hated him was Blueblood. He had started complaining as soon as the princesses approved his stay and had been trying to get him kicked out ever since.
Every night he wrote down his adventures in a journal so that one day maybe another changeling who changes its ways knows that one was able to live in peace with ponies.
"Come on John! We are going to the rusty horseshoe for a pint!" Sundance said
"On my way!" John replied Sun set had been one of his first friends in fact she was the one who helped him to his room from the carriage. She was a brown unicorn with blonde hair and sky blue eyes and a cutie mark of a golden disco ball. other than her he had three more friends.
There was Tiny Thunder a Pegasus the size of a very large eath pony, he was light grey with navy blue hair and purple eyes, he worked as a guard outside what ever room Celestia was in he had been sick the day Cole came to Equestria and his replacement was a recruit fresh from the academy.
Next was Amber Taffy an earth pony named her coat was a rusty red and she had a light brownish blond mane and caramel colored eyes, she worked making all the sweets and meals for the guests of the castle, and the royal family of course her cutie mark was a piece of stretched Taffy.
Next was a bat pony named Silent step, he was a night guard that worked whenever his schedule told him to. One of the ways to tell him apart from the others where his sea green eyes. It is said his family had the first night guard general in it and his eyes were the same as Silence's.
John shook himself out of his thoughts and ran after Sundance and his friends.
Two days until Coles release[/hr]
It was the middle of the afternoon and today he and Amber where going to make sweets for an aristocrat named Fancy Pants, his birthday was coming up and the princesses wanted to surprise him, he was their favorite party guest after all, or so John was told.
John enjoyed helping he felt like it was something he was meant to do. "We sure have come along way in this past month, huh John?" Amber said while adding some sugar to a bowl John simply nodded. "Yup."
Amber laughed. "You sure aren't as shy as you used to be, when Sundance introduced us, you hid behind her afraid that we would scream and run at the sight of you.
But look at us, I wouldn't have thought I would be cooking cookies with a changeling befor I met you." John gave a nervous laugh. "I have something to admit, but you have to promise not to be mad."
"What do you mean?" Amber replied putting down the bowl she was mixing "Just promise." John said wishing he had not said anything at all. Amber squinted and looked at John. "Okay I Promise."
John told her everything from the moment he ran into the manticore to how he became enchanted. Amber listened to every detail with complete interest.
When John finished it was silent for a few minutes before John said "Please don't be mad."
Amber stood there and then smiled and said "I am not mad if fact I am happy for you, most ponies would try to banish you on sight, but with the enchantment on you seem nice enough it makes everypony feel more comfortable to be around you and the test from before was to ensure that you could be trusted." She paused for a moment, "But we should tell our friends about this together just to be safe." After making pan after pan of cookies they sat back and looked upon their work. "So now what?" Amber said.
"What time is it?" John replied.
Amber read the clock on the wall and said"It's about 6:30 our friends should be in the brake room."
John knew he would have to spill eventually he just hoped they would react well.
last day before Cole's release[/hr]
Johns life had hung on the line the other day but after much debate the other three of his friends decided it was for the best that they accept it and that they probably wouldn't have given him a chance had he not been enchanted.
They all sat in the castles center gardens eating dinner in front of the statue of Cole.
Tiny looked up at Cole. "So this is a human... he looks scary as if he could choose to kill me slowly or quickly." Tiny shudders.
Silent smirked and said, "That was a bit dark... I like him he looks like he could do stealth ops really well." He pauses for a moment in thought then he frowned. "But I wouldn't want to cross him in battle."
"I think he looks smart like he knows hundreds of recipes for sweets!" Amber said very excited to meet the human.
"I don't know, he seems dangerous what did you say he did when you met for the first time, John?" Sundance asked.
John looked at cole and pointed to the bow on his hip, "He fired a type of arrow that we don't have and killed a Manticore in one shot." "That explains the manticore fur." Silent said pointing to the fur slung across Cole's sholder.
Then a voice called out behind them. "Hello my subjects what brings you to the royal garden?" All five of them froze at the voice.
They turned around in unison and bowed. "Good evening Princess Luna."
Silent stepped forward. "Ma'am We are enjoying our supper in front of our stone friend Ma'am."
Luna smiled, "May I join you? I wish to know more about this creature in front of us, and not just what the books say."
Amber and Sundance smiled and Amber said "Sure, John was going to tell us the story of how they met again anyway."
They all surrounded John on the blanket and started to hear his tale. "It started as I was escaping my hive..."
Cole sat all alone in the darkness, he couldn't describe the temperature of the darkness, it felt warm and cold at the same time. there he sat lost in thought for an unknown amount of time, until the darkness began to shift and change. ============================================================================================================
Luna's POV
Luna was excited, she had only met the human for a brief moment before her sister flipped out. They had not gotten the chance to talk to a human for a long time, so long in fact they had Completely forgotten about humans altogether. She was so excited, she was going to be best friends with the creature! She would make him feel welcome, she was going to welcome Cole to their home.
As she walked she was soon joined by Celestia, "Good evening Tia" Luna said barely able to contain her excitement.
Celestia smiled a warm smile and said, "How are you tonight Luna?"
Luna giggled a little and said, "Excited dear sister, how long has it been since we have last met a human?"
Celestia thought for a moment, "I believe it has been more than 1500 years... or was it 2500 years ago?"
Luna trotted along, "Its been long enough that we had to do research on them sister, long enough that we have forgotten."
Celestia nodded and said, "We must hurry and join The Elements and John In front of ... Collen was it?"
Luna kept trotting along while saying, "If you want a strong ally for keeping evil out of Equestria you should really learn his name, Its Cole."
They opened the doors to the royal courtyard where Cole was being held.
The Princesses walked thru the doors into the torch lit courtyard, it was the same courtyard Cole had appeared in the first place. As the Princesses entered the courtyard, John and the six Elements bowed to show their respect for the two royal sisters.
"Thank you all for coming" Luna said as she turned to John and asked "how long John?"
He looked at the moon "About 10 more minutes your highness."
At that moment there then came a cry from the edge of the courtyard, "Auntie!"
They all turned to see Blueblood walking in. Luna rolled her eyes, she never cared for this Blueblood, his great, great, great grandfather was much kinder and sweeter than this one.
"Yes?" Celestia asked
Blueblood raised a accusing hoof towards John, "I have just gotten information that this BUG!" He spat the insult, "Has been planning to release this Monster!" He motioned his hoof towards the statue of Cole.
Celestia opened her mouth to speak but Luna stepped forward with a smirk on her face. "Dearest nephew," Luna stared in a sweet voice, "We are already informed on this situation and we plan to do nothing."
"But, But." Blueblood looked confused.
Luna continued, "If you wish for us to take action, tell us 3 things, 1. What is its name? 2. Is it a boy or a girl? 3. What is the species of creature? Is he and if he is infact a monster what category would he fit into?"
Blueblood was at a loss of words.
Then the doors to the courtyard where flung open again. Two guards, a cook, and a maid stepped into the yard.
They said nothing as they stopped to bow to royalty and then proceeded to stand next to John.
"Well!?" Luna demanded.
Blueblood sat there for a minute in thought before he gave up.
Luna continued turning to Twilight, "Twilight i believe you know all the answers to these questions."
Twilight nodded and pointed towards the human, "Cole is a human, his gender is male, if he was a monster he would be placed amongst the sentient, wise classes."

Cole's POV
The darkness shimmered for a moment, Cole saw something; it was a pale light. Looking closer he saw a moon, then stars, and slowly the world began appearing.
Cole could feel the stone touching his body when he started moving. The first feeling to return was his head, he swiveled his neck as stone fell away to reveal his flesh, he rolled his shoulders as more stone fell off, next he freed his hands. He looked down as the rest of the stone broke away and saw John with some other ponies who waved upon seeing he was looking at them.
"Hey Cole, come down and meet everypony!" John said.
Cole quickly shook off the rest of the stone covering his legs and hopped down.
He was getting mixed reactions from the groups clustered around him.
Some ponies were happy, one was hiding behind another, the
Princesses looked on him in wonder of what he would do next, and the final one, a white cult with blond hair and blue eyes, he was wearing some sort of tux and looked at Cole with pure disgust.
Cole bowed to the Princesses and proclaimed, "I am Cole the Human, slayer of beasts and master of the hunt."
Cole wasn't really those things, he Just wanted to sound important... well maybe the hunting part was true but he has only slayed one monster while he was here.
Celestia returned the bow with Luna, "Greetings, I am Celestia and this is my sister Luna"
"This is really happening isn't it?" Cole asked thinking if this was a dream he would have woken up by now.
"What is?" Twilight asked
Cole shook his head trying to keep himself awake, "I am too tired for introductions at the moment." He looked at the princesses, "Do you have a place I can sleep?"
Luna nodded, "Of course I took the liberty to prepare a room."
Cole looked at John and said, "Thanks for helping me wake up, i'll see you tomorrow."
"Follow me Please." Luna said as She and Cole walked past a confused Celestia.
Luna lead Cole thru a large door and down largely decorated hallways, Cole saw banners of the sun and moon everywhere.
He was lead deeper and deeper into the castle, as they walked Cole noticed the guards; they were absolutely everywhere!
Some where dressed in gold armor with a white gem on the chest and others were dressed in a dark shaded armor with a green eye on there chest plate.
They ascended up some stairs, and a couple more hallways until they came to a hall with many doors.
They walked to the end of the hallway and ascended, more stairs and at the top they came to a room with a single door with 2 guards standing on either side of it.
"This is your room, I hope it is to your liking, good night." Luna said as she walked back down the stairs.
Cole walked up to the door, his back ached with the weight of his backpack and equipment. He could feel the guards eyes watching him as he opened the door.
Inside the room he shut the door behind him, the room was dark for a moment but slowly the room got brighter and brighter as a fire arose from a fireplace in the wall and candles began lighting themselves, to reveal a beautiful room with a desk, a dresser, a framed king sized bed with tons of pillows, two chairs, and a table with what looked like a whisky bottle with cups, and another door which Cole correctly assumed was the bathroom.
It was amazing, Cole set down his bag and began to unpack, thats when he noticed the long purple curtains, pulling them back revealed two glass doors with gold handles, opening them and walking out onto the balcony he could see the whole city glowing from its lights of the night life and the moon.
"Absolutely breathtaking." Cole said to no one.
Feeling another wave of exhaustion, he changed into his sleep where and crawled into the most comfortable bed he had ever slept in and fell asleep within moments. ======================================================================================================
POV Twilight
Twilight and her friends gathered in her room which just so happened to be right next to the staircase leading to Cole's room.
They had been watching him from a spell from Twilight's horn.
"I still don't know about him Twi, he still seem rather strange." AJ said after seeing him fall asleep.
"If he is I am sure the princesses have it handled." Twilight said trying to reassure her friend.
"I am curious about all the fashion he knows, just look at his sleepwear, its simply divine with the rest of his clothing." Rarity said.
"I bet he is very athletic to escape those guards from the time he arrived." Rainbow said.
"I AM GOING TO THROW HIM A HUUUUUUUUGE P-A-R-T-Y !" Pinkie said bouncing around, but stopped mid hop with a gasp and rushed out of the room saying, "HE IS GOING TO BE HUNGRY AFTER ALL THAT NAPPING!!"
"Um, didn't he say he was a hunter, like of animals?" Fluttershy said softly.
That caused the excitement to break into that of worry of what he will do when he woke up.
"I know one thing." Twilight said " He is slowly gaining magic energy."
Luna happily sat on the throne of the night court. It was a tad boring but it was nice and quiet.
But the silence was short lived as Celestia Teleported into the room.
"You gave him a room?" Celestia asked
"You set the guards on him." Luna returned
Celestia did feel a bit guilty about it, she thought for a moment. "I should apologize.... I'll give him a gift, something that will be very helpful." =======================================================================================================
Cole's POV / The Next Day
Cole woke to a sweet smell and the feeling of someone watching him. He opened his eyes and groaned, he was still here still in the land of magic talking ponies. He sat up and looked around on the table with the whiskey.
Sitting on the table was a chocolate cake with frosting and sprinkles. there was a knife a fork and a plate already set out for him.
He got out of bed and walked over to the cake and inspected it closely, it did not seem dangerous. Shrugging he cut himself a piece.
' Just one bite then I'll ask the guards if I can get some breakfast.' He thought to himself as he maneuvered the fork into his mouth.
The taste was wonderful! It was so full of chocolate and cake with the perfect amount of frosting... Cole shed a manly tear at its goodness.
He finished his 2nd slice by the time there was a knock at the door.
"Come in!" Cole called with a half mouth full of cake.
In came a pony in a maid outfit.
She was light blue with a brown mane.
"Good morning sir, I am here to escort you to breakfast." she said, her sweet voice slightly shaking in fear as she spoke.
"Thank you, could you wait outside the door?" Cole asked
"Certainly sir, but please hurry, the princesses do not like to be kept waiting." she said as she walked back out the door.
Cole quickly took care of his morning routine, got dressed grabbed his bow wax, bow , and quiver and opened the door.
The two guards eyed the bow as he walked with them and the maid to the breakfast table.
As they walked they were joined by Twilight and her friends.
"Good morning Cole." Twilight said.
Cole stopped in front of her, it was obvious she was trying to make a better impression of herself on him. He smiled and said, "Good morning... what where your names again?"
"My name is Twilight Sparkle and this is, Applejack, Rarity, Rainbowdash, Fluttershy, and Pinkie Pie."
Pinkie ran up to Coles face and asked, "Did you like the cake?"
Cole nodded, "It was wonderful, where I come from our cake is never that good.... except maybe my mom's.."
Cole frowned at the thought of her worrying about where he was.
"Lets get to breakfast." He said trying to change the subject.
They walked down the halls while the girls were discussing about various things along the way.
As they rounded the corner they ran into John.
Cole smiled, "Good morning John how are you?"
"I am fine, just coming to see what was keeping you and the elements." John answered.
"Just a bit of a hold up, lets go."
They continued walking until they came to two great large doors. Cole Pushed them open and they walked in. Inside the room was a large table, and On the table was a feast of fruits, breads, jams, eggs, even cereal and milk.
The princesses were already seated with Blueblood.
Celestia spoke, "Good morning to you all, I trust you're rooms were to your liking?"
They all nodded. "Best sleep I've had in years!" Cole said.
Luna yawned a large yawn, "Then thyst taketh that thou is ready for “introductions”? She said making the quotations in the air with her hoofs.
"Yes I’ve already met you and the seven behind me." Cole had looked behind him, the maid and the guards were gone leaving the elements and John.
"Then that leaves thy's nephew, Blueblood." Luna said nodding towards the white stallion.
Cole turned to him, did a slight bow, and said, "Greetings."
Blueblood just sat there and grunted, Cole could tell Blueblood already hated him so he walked over to the closest chair to him and sat down, and John sat next to him.
"Lets eat!" Cole said as he filled his plate with toast and eggs.
The rest sat down and began to fill their plates.
Cole had noticed two things, they were very calm at the fact a new creature was eating at a table with them, and.... there was no meat.
"Excuse me?" Cole asked breaking the silence.
"Yes?" Celestia replied.
"I know you are all herbivores but, I am an omnivore...so where is the meat?"
Blueblood gagged on his food and started coughing.
"Its under that sauser in the center." Luna said with a smirk.
Cole picked up his plate walked to the center of the table and pulled up the bowl cover covering the pan. The smell of various cooked meats filled the room.
There was everything from Canadian bacon, sausages, American bacon, etc. Cole grabbed a good handful of bacon, some ham and some Can. Bacon and sausages.
He put the top back on and walked back to his chair, he could feel the room's eyes on him as he sat and began to combine his toast, eggs, and 2 kinds of bacon together to make a breakfast sandwich.
Before he did anything he took a big bite out of a sausage, it was hard separating it into two with his teeth but he made a wiping motion with his head and separated the tasty morsel into two.
He then ate some of his bacon strips followed by a big bite of his sandwich, as he was chewing as he looked up.
Everyone but Luna and Celestia where looking at him.
"What, you have never seen a being eat meat before?" Cole asked after he swallowed before taking another bite of bacon.
"I've only seen bears eat meat but that was fish." Fluttershy said looking frightened and interested at the same time. "Um, Humans don't eat ponies do they?"
Cole sighed "I am going to answer that question but I need to not be interrupted when I do, is that clear?"
The ponies nodded.
"Yes we could and we have in the past in times of starvation, and some still do, but where I come from it is a taboo and frowned upon."
Cole looked at Blueblood who looked mortified.
The princesses just kept on eating ignoring them all.
After that it was silent, Cole finished his sandwich and meat took out his bow and wax and started waxing the string.
"What is that?" Rainbow asked
"Its a bow, I use it to hunt."
"I've never seen a bow as weird looking as that before." Rainbow said.
"Its made to fire quickly and cleanly with alot of force."
"Hunt what?" Twilight asked
"My pray."
"Like what?" Rainbow asked.
"Animals I am hungry for, and those who seek to harm others." Cole said with a smile.
"Why did you bring it with you to the table?" Twilight asked with a bit of annoyance in her voice.
"I need to wax it every so often, so I wax it every other day just to be safe." He replied still smiling "Besides first time I was here I was attacked so I brought the arrows with me to be on the safe side." He said turning looking at Celestia who was looking right back at him with a look of sadness and regret on her face.
"Well I am sure you deserved it and still do, you brute." Blueblood said in a half mocking tone.
"BLUEBLOOD! behave yourself." Luna said rather loudly.
Cole grabbed some pancakes from a saucer nearby and poured some syrup and butter on his stack. "So that brings me to an important question I have." He said as he poured himself some milk. "Am I a prisoner here or am I free to roam around?"
Celestia gave Cole a warm smile, "We should discuss that later, for now I am going to apologize for my first impression I gave to you with a gift, come here to receive it."
Cole stood up still holding his bow and walked over to Celestia who had also stood up.
"Come closer and get down on one knee." she said in her motherly tone.
He came closer and did as instructed.
He saw as she lowered her horn to the top of his head. "hold still" She said.
Cole saw nothing but light for a couple seconds, as the light faded Cole felt stronger somehow. "What did you just do to me?"
"I have just given you a royal gift, it is the gift of the rift. You should now be able to store items in a pocket dimension, Just image opening a bag somewhere in the air and you can just put stuff in and out as much as you please and it won't cost any magic energy."
Cole had to try this, he put his bow on the table and took out an arrow, he took his hand and imagined opening a zipper straight down and he held the arrow to the area, when he unzipped the rift the arrow in his hand disappeared, he let go of the arrow and withdrew his hand.
"Now just think that you want the rift to close and it will for you, and the best part is if you are storing multiple items all you have to do is reach out open the rift and think of the item you want and you will be able to pull it out." Luna said excitedly before yawning again.
Cole thought 'Rift close' he stuck out his hand into the space where he let go of the arrow this time his hand did not disappear. "That is so cool! Thanks!"
Twilight spoke from her place at the table, "And the pocket dimension has its own time stream much slower than our own, like a year here could be a hour there."
Cole walked over to the plate of still hot and steaming meat he turned to Celestia, “You don't mind if I take this do you?” Celestia shook her head. He grabbed all the hot meat and put them in the rift for later, he then put his quiver, bow, and wax in there too and closed it.
'That worm and his ape freind are going to be a nucence, a threat to the future Blueblood Empire! I must rid myself of them or make them slaves! Auntie and Aunt wont see it the way I do in fact they respect them even gave that Monster a Royal Gift! Even if my sister rules over her own kingdom now that wont matter once I rule! Ill walk all over her little kingdom and sell off all her ppeople as pritty slaves to the nahboring kingdoms, Ill lock the Bug away and threten to kill him if that Meat Eating brute! Does not lisson to me, Or i could get an assassin to kill them both, ah, the choices I have when I am on top.' Blueblood thought this while sitting in his room drinkin his afternoon tea, he is so strong! He can even lift the cup and the pitcher with a saucer by himself! What a good boy!
Cole had been pratacing his new abilaty since breakfast in his room he had stored all the contents of his hiking bag in to his new dimentional pocket. Heeven discovered he could sumon the rift in small spaces for small things like his pockets. "haha! My pockets are bigger on the inside!"
Just as he said that there came a knock at the door "Who is it?" He sang in a sing song voice.
"Its John ive brought some freinds I'd like you to meet." The voice on the other side of the door awncered
"Just a minuate!" Cole called back.
Cole tossed his delishius cake, plate, fork, and knife in his DP (Dimentional Pocket) and went to open the door.
On the otherside of the door Cooole saw John with Two guards, a maid ,and a chef. Not wanting to be rude he invited them in.
"Welcome Welcome Come on in to my current dwelling make yourselfs at home." Cole said
John led them all in side.
Noticing the lack of chairs Cole said "I kinda wish i had more chairs for you all to sit on."
The maid spoke up "We dont mind. the floor is closer anyway." she said as she sat on the rug Cole hadnt notaced before.
"So John How about introducing me to youre new freinds?" Cole said with a smile.
'Oh, this is Sunset she is a unicorn and works here as a maid, Amber she is a earth pony and is one of the chefs, Tiny he is pegasus and is a day guard also he is one of the guards that stands outside what ever room Princesses Celestia is in, And Silent he is a bat pony and a corporal of the night guard." John said excited to show of is freinds
"Cool well I am Cole and I am a human, It is a plesure to meet you." Cole said while sitting down
"We all thought you might like to join us for lunch we where going to have a picnic in the cort yard, Ive even prepared some meet for you." Amber said obvously trying to convince him to come.
Cole did not need to be bribed so he agreed and went with them back thru the maze of hallways untill the came into the lush cortyard where he had first roped into this world.
Lunch had been great /cole had gotten to catch up on what he had missed in a month with John and how he met his freinds. Amber could reely cook Cole had Hambergers whitch where delishious he ha put the left overs in his DP to snack on. After saying thanks for lunch Cole started wondering the halls of the castle It was pritty big even after eating lunch Cole was felling a bit hungry again so he started wondering and nibbleing on one of the mantacore stakes he had cooked in the forest, they where delishious.
As he walked he thoutght about his job Cole worked at a BBQ place named Cindy's it was wonderful the smell, the food. And that remined him of a song he and his boss would sing as they where preparing butts for the smoker.
"Hey everybody did the news get around a bout a guy named butcher Pete?" he started to sing as he walked down the halls.
As he continued singing he swore he could hear the music moving with him and the back round singers as well.
" He's hackin' and wackin' and smackin'." he sung along to the now much louder music.
Celestia's day was so boring it was just another day one pony coming in to complain about something after the next, but she swore she could hear a saxophone getting closer and closer.
Somepony was singing in her castle, she really did not mind but she could berly hear what the lyrics where.
"Butcher Pete's got a long sharp knife He starts choppin' and don't know when to stop All you fellows gotta watch your wifes 'Cause Pete Dont care whose meat he chops!" The singer sung.
Then she herd the back round singers
"He's hackin' and wackin' and smackin' He's hackin' and wackin' and smackin' He's hackin' and wackin' and smackin' He just hacks, wacks, choppin' that meat!" they sung with the sax still just playing on.
As the singer deliverd the next line.
"Ever since Peter flew into town He's been havin' a ball Just cuttin' and choppin' for miles around Single women, married women, old maids and all!" He sung.

The doors at the end of the throne room burst open to revieal Cole and a whole bunch of the male chefs and the head Griffen chef singing at the top of there lungs as Cole delivered the next line.
"The police put Pete in jail Yes, he finally met his faith But when they came to pay his bail They found him choppin' up his cell mate!" Cole sang.

As the sax died down Cole deliverd the final line
"That Butcher Pete is a crazy man Tries to chop down the wind and the rain Just hacks on anything he can get." he sang
The chefs walked out of the throne room as if nothing happened leaving Cole Celestia and a whole lot of semi confused guards.
Cole was not expecting a whole musical number with ... a griffin!?! He then remembered where he ended up he turned to se he was standing right next to the throne and in the face of Celestia who was looking at him with an eyebrow rased. Cole took a BIG step back.
"Sorry that doesn't happen in my world" Cole said
"Do you understand what just happened?" Celestia asked
"No"
"Tell me Cole do you believe in magic?"
"No, not since I was a kid." Cole replied
"Is there actual magic where you come from?"
"Well I guess but its voodoo and witchcraft and stuff powered by Evil."
"Here there is actual magic , levitation, teleportation. and its a balance between the good and evil constantly." Celestia explained.
"So youre saying the good of me sining a song me and my boss would sing while preparing meat caused the magic around us to compel the chefs to sing with me?" Cole asked
"Yes, now my student Twilight found that you have magic potential, You could use magic, but in every being there is a talent for that magic and apparently you have a lot of it, so much potential.' Celestia stared off for a moment as if remembering something from long ago.
"And there is even room for improvement, I will schedule magic lessions for you if you wish." Celestia offered
"Shure!" Cole said a bit to excited then he remembered another matter he wished to discuss.
"Hey i know its my first day here not being chased around like some fugitive but I meant to ask you. Am I a prisoner here or am I free to rome about as I please?" Cole asked.
Celestia thought for a moment. "I suppose you could roam about as long as you have Somepony I or my sister trusts with you or if you are in ponyville with the elements."
"One more thing what is the date?" Cole Asked.
"Its the 30th of trottober tomorrow is Nightmare night, my sisters favorite holiday." Celestia paused for a moment. "That reminds me, Twilight and her freinds would probably want to go home for the occaction, I will let you go with them and my sister to ponyville for the time being, as long as you promise not to cause harm to my subjects."
Cole was slightly shocked on how much she was trusting him he was going to be shure not to screw up his chance at trustworthyness.
"Guards would you please leave the room for a moment, I have one more matter to discuss with the Human." Celestia said as Cole turned to leave.
As the guards left Cole wondered what could be so secret that Celestia would not even let her own guards hear it.
"I dont know if you know this." Celestia's tone went from motherly to very serious and stern. "But you are a treasure to this land other kingdoms might try to sway you to join them for wars and battles, sway you with gold, or even....Try to kill you." there came a knock at the door "APROCH!" Celestia yelled with a thunderous voice.
As the doors swung open Celestia explained "This is Iron Sheath he will equip you with armor and a weapon of your choice, for your defense."
The pony who approached had light ginger fur and a deeper ginger mane and blue eyes. "You wished to see me, princess." He said as he bowed.
"Equip my, freind with armor and weapons before tomorrow." She said.
"Yes princess." Iorn said
"Can I get some armor for John as well?" Cole asked
"I suppose, he does owe you his life." Clestia turned to Iorn. "The changeling too."
"Yes, Princess, follow me human." the orange pony said as he walked back to the doors.
Cole followed as Clestia said "Guards! as you where." and the guards came past them as they left .
Iorn put his hoof up and stoped the last one from coming in and said " Go featch the changeling and bring him to the armory, oh and i need to speek with silent step so get him too."
"Yes, Sir" the guard said and turned and went down the opposite hall.
========================================================================================================== It was quite the walk from the throne to the armory but when they go there Cole could see why along the walls where weapons thousands of spears, swords, bows, arrows. You name it, it was there.
"Have a look around , You are on the Crowns budget so if you like something, feel free to take it, If you can carry it." Iorn said slightly laghing but stoped as Cole shoved 2 Spears in to his DP after thrusting and swinging them a bit.
"Ok, Dont go nuts now." Iorn said "Me and the smiths have to remake everything you take."
Cole walked around amireing swords he found a nice two handed longsword and put it in his DP. Cole picked up a standerd sword gave it a swing and said "This doesnt feel right " HE put the sword back, Pulled out the Longsword gave it a swing and said "This is not right as well." Thats when Cole notaced Iorn was a unicorn.
"How would a pony hold this?" Cole said giving the Longsword to Iorn.
"Well as a unicorn I would hold the whole blade in my Grasp with a levitaction spell, like so." he replied before puting the hilt in his mouth "A earth or pegasis would probobly start like this when on the move." He spat out the blade before picking it up in his hooves "and then would swing it around like this." he said while demistrating. "Whats wrong with these swords?" he picked up the standerd one handed sword Cole picked up and swung it a few times in each way a pony could hold it.
"They dont feel balanced in my grasp." Cole said
Iorns eyes narrowed "I knew this would happen, Come with me we are going to have to go deeper into the armory." Iorn said while walking twords a wall with a single torch.
"You do know there where humans in these lands once before right?" Iorn asked
Cole was a bit shocked "No nobody told me that."
"Well Iorn You told him before I planned him on knowing" Luna said coming into the room.
"P-princess! I was not exspecting to see you awake is it 6 already?" Iorn said while bowing
"No, its about 4:30 and my sisters sun is starting to set." Luna responded before turning to Cole.
"Good afternoon Cole, I herd that you are to acompony me and Twilight to Ponyville for Nightmare night, did I hear correctly?"
"Yes, now is nightmare night a holoday where kids go dor to dor asking for candy?" Cole asked Asuming it was.
"That is correct."
" There have been other humans before me. What happened to them?" Cole asked.
"Something terrible.... but that is a conversastion for another time, now it is time to get you equiped. Push the torch futher into its mount and pull on it like a lever." Luna Instructed.
Cole did as told, part of the wall seemed to fade from existence revealing a open dorway leading to...More stairs heading down into the mountan.
"We occasonly have things fall here from other dimentions and planes of reality, its a common ocurance kept secret from the public, so we keep what apears here along with all human artifacts we find." Luna explained.
Cole did not know what to say everything is happing so fast and he had been just going along for the ride, what brought him here and why?
"Well?" Luna asked
"What?" he responded
"Are you going to enter?"
"Oh!" Cole relized he had been just standing there looking at the hole for the past five minutes. He took a step forward and started the journey down.
The stairway lead to a smaller armory, human armor lined the walls each on each side like a football lockerroom, Cole notaced one thing about the armor, there where no helmets. Each set had a blue handprint on the center of each chestpice and each set shone a white silver.
"Wow, hey why no helments?"
"They beleived to do battle helmetless and survive was a great honnor, that and they found them uncomfortable." Luna replied
Cole poked one of the hands on the armor and was suprised as the hand shape changed putting his palm up to the one on the armor and found they matched. Putting his hand on the armor once mor caused It to slowly turn black. Cole removed his hand to find the print had turned a blood red.
"This armor is enchanted to help you in a situation, in times of prial it will quick equip itself to you if you ask it to, What you just did was activate the night time equipment, we have tried to replicate this but we cant seem to get two kinds of armor into one armor, these are a great treasure." Luna exsplained.
"And you are giving this to me?" Cole asked
"Its not like we can fit the armor and those wepions are off ballance for us as well, you are a human so, yes this all belongs to you." Luna said.
Cole looked to the wall at the end there where swords, bows, throwing knifes, axes, and warhamers. Cole walked twords a sword and reached to take it, as he grasped it He could feel something warm enveloup his left hand he looked and a black gauntlet covered his hand and the sword turned a nice shade of blood red.
"Thats too cool!" Cole exclaimed
"Indeed" Luna said
"Take good care of that stuff, my family have been coming here for generations to clean and polish this stuff" Iorn said
"HELLO?!" a voice shouted from upstairs.
"I will greet the visitors you and Iorn can finish up here." Luna said as she walked back up the stairs "we'll look at the wharehouse later."
"Oh, well" Cole said more excited about his new toys then some dusty old stuff.
Cole grabbed a sheathe from a nearby rack opening the DP put a longsword in and the first sword he had grabed with the gauntlet and put that in too.
"Cole! Come look at this!" John called from up the stairs
"Coming!" Cole said cliping the sheathe to his belt and rushing up the stairs.
Coming to the top of the stairs Cole saw John in a full suit of night guard armor that looked ike it was made with him in mind. it was a bit strange the Dark hue to the armor was almost blue compared to the blackness of John's body then Cole notaced the hand print on John's chestplate and helm.
They where his hand again.
"How?" Cole began to ask.
Silent steped out form a shadow not making a sound "I ordered them last week, I fugured if yyou too are buddys then you need to both be protected, as for youre handprint that was done by luna to, 'alert' those who try to attack him will be messing with you." Silent said quickly.
"It looks great! " Cole said notaceing the hand was red "Does the hand color change along side with mine too? Cole asked.
"One way to find out, fully equip youre armor." Iorn said
"Ok.. ask right... Equip, please?"
Cole felt different looking down he saw he was wairing the armor, it was strangely light and he was stilll fully flexable despite how the armor looked.
Putting his left hand along the pattern on his chest the armor changed back into its original silver with a blue handprint. the hand prints on John's armor changed to blue too.
"Cool so that awncers that." Cole said before "Unequip please." and the armor dissapeared leaving his clothing again.
"So now what?" John asks
Cole turns to Luna "We prepare for nightmare night."
Nightmare night fright! (UNEDITED READ AT OWN RISK!)
Cole's plan was perfecct, after telling him what goes on during nightmare night he thought it would be a good idea to use the 'MYTH' about humans to scare every pony.
Very few ponies actually know humans actually existed, In historical documents to call a soldier a human is to mean they had killed meny for their country, not that they where literal humans witch they some times where. She had been penpals with a scincetist who studyed humans and there history and even had the trust to access to the long abandoned hidden Human capitol, in the badlands.
Her name was Lyra Heartstrings a mint green unicorn with a lighter mint green mane with a white streek and golden eyes.
Luna had grown fond of her, and her bit of an unhealthy obsession with human history, and culture.
She sent her a letter exsplaining what to do and who not to bring with her when the fillys and colts go to offer her candy.
Then she made shure the elements know what was goin on to avoid an acidental fireing of the elements.
Everything is set for tonight, the games, the food, the candy. It was already about 5:30 she had already informed the town Luna would be coming when the colts and filliys went to the statue in the forest, with their candy.
She and the girls had been soo busy they forgot to pick their costumes, except for pinkie who always plans for today a year ahead. so she and the others just re-wore the same costumes from last year.
She was happy to be home in her library tree.
"Hey, um, Twilight? " A voice said behind her
Turning around she found spike a baby purple and green scaled dragon... dressed as a piece of candy.
"Do you like my costume?" he asked in his childish voice.
Twilight smiled trying not to laugh " Its great." she said
"Thanks twilight!" He said before running off again
Twilight sighed she was going to have to teach magic to a being that already has more magical potential then she did a year ago! He probobly doesn't even know the first thing about magic!
It was going to be an intresting to see how well she can teach another being what she's learned.
'Its good lyra offered to keep him at her house I dont think I could stand havng 5 difrent species living in my house at once.' Twilight thought also remembering that the changeling John would be staying with her,, before she picked up a history book and started to read. ==========================================================================================================
POV Lyra
Lyra sat in her living room surround by her research.
' A Human! They actually found a human!' she thought to herself with glee.
Maybe it was not a human that knows its species past here, but a human never the less.
Lyra was just excited to meet one, which remined her.
"Hey Bonbon! Are you finished clearing the guest room?"
she asked her beige coat, pigment blue mane with a rose pink streak, cerulean eyes, room mate... Lyra had no idea why she described what Bonbon looked like in her head but it did not matter as she heard her respond.
"Yes Lyra, now tell me again why I had to do it?" Bonbon asked coming down the stairs into the living room.
"A freind of Princess Luna will be staying with us for an unknown amount of time, he will be arriving with Luna." Lyra replied
Lyra lived with her housemate in a upper-middle-middle class equestran home, it wasnt very big it had an open floor plan with the kiction and the livingroom connected, two bathrooms, a diningroom, a bacement, attic, and three beadrooms. It was in the heart of ponyville on East Carriage Run. which was just before market st.
''Yes I know why, but why did I do it by my self?"
"I am refreshing myself on my research as instructed by Princess Luna." Lyra awncered
Bon bon rolled her eyes she had never beleived Lyra even when she claimed to see one run thru the outskerts of the town and said it was just some hairless ape she saw.
While he was waiting for the day to end Cole decided to practace a bit with his bow, poking his head out his room he asked one of the guards if there was an archery range, and if he could go there.
The guards agreed to take him there much to Coles enjoyment.
Cole was once agein escorted thru the menyhalls of Canterlot Castle, its art still as beautiful as ever he was lead past the barracks thru what looked like to be a arena for hand to hand combact... or for them hoof to hoof. Cole chuckled at the pun as he was brought into another court yard this one was pritty darn big he saw what looked like recruits training to become guards. There were all sorts of things to do Sword dummys, The range, spear throwing range, lifting equipment, and a track that ranaround most of the place going around the ranges.
"Here we are, the training grounds." One of the guards said "You have free range of all the facilitys."
"Thank you" Cole said as the guard turned and left leaving Cole with the training recruts, their drill sargents and training guards.
He walked over to the archery range there where some unicorns practacing with their bows they weren't extreamly acurate but it wasnt bad, considering how far the distance was witch looked to be about 50m maybie 55m.
Cole pulled his compound out from his DP and grabed a arrow from the stand in front of him. He pulled back the string and concintrated took a breath and releaced his arrow.
What he heard next was a 'thunk'. Perfect bullseye on the first time that!
Cole looked at the unicorns next to him they just stood there stareing in shock.
"How did you do that?" one asked
"Ive been useing a bow since I could first pullback a string to one so ive been prataceing since I was 6 years old, that and me and my dad practice at Olympic standards that means the target is 70m away and a little smaller, also I hunt moving targets so a still one is almost nothing." Cole explained as he drew another arrow.
"If I am lucky I might split the previous arrow." Cole said as he lined up the shot he slowed his breathing, took a breath while concentrating the shot and released.
With a satifying 'thunk' Cole hit the target a second time. He did not split the arrow but he came close, the arrows where touching eachother.
Getting slightly bord with this he put lless consentration and thought into his third shot wich landed right next to the second, a bit farther out but still within the bullseye zone.
Getting bord, Cole decided he would go and see what John was up to.
The castle was so lovely in the evenigs, it made John happy he left his hive he had been so lucky to have met Cole. As he wondered the halls aimlessly he admired the orange of the sunset coming thru the windows.
"Hey John!" he heard a voice say from behind him.
Turning around he saw Tiny flying towards him. 'He must have just gotten releived of duty.' John thought to himself.
John flinched in ann attempt to dodge the incoming earthpony sized Pegasus, just to be tackled.
"Hey Tiny." John wheezed "Whats up?"
"I got you a present." he said holng up two paires of bandanas one was a light blue had the symbol for the flag of Equestria and the other was black with Cole's handprint on it in red.
"These are so others identify you are one of us without you having to put on armor all the time when in public."
John put one on both shoulder. "The armband with Coles hand also changes color based on what he has the armor set to, the other pair I got is for Cole. " Tiny Explained
Cole had asked a couple guards and a maid if they had seen John they all said he was sight seeing in the west wing.
Cole rounded a cupple corners and saw John and Tiny talking.
"Hey guys!" Cole said approching them
"Speaking of the Devil." Tiny said
"I should have not have told you all those sayings." Cole said shaking his head "whats up?"
"These!" John said showing Cole both of the bandanas on his sholders "We can wheir them to show that we are on Equestria's side and ponys will be less afraid to approach in public."
"Neat!" Cole said sliping a bandana on each shoulder.
Cole looked out the window, it was getting dark quickly.
"What time is it?" Tiny asked
Cole reached into his pocket while mindlessly opening his DP and pulled out his phone and checked the time. "Its about 6:00." He said before putting it back.
"What was that device you just pulled out?" Tiny asked.
Cole then relized he had not even thought about his phone or his ipod during the entire time he had been in equestria witch ment he had gone 4-5 days without his phone. "This place really is magic." Cole said before realizing He had been asked a question.
"Oh, This." he said pulling it back out agein "is a smart phone, its common tec. where i come from I have a lifeproof case on both my phone and my ipod." he said Pulling his ipod out to.
"I know a scincetist in ponyville is going to want to have a look at those." Luna said appearing out of nowhere.
All three bowed upon seeing her.
"You and the night guards are like ninjas!" Cole exclaimed
Luna giggled a bit " Are you ready to depart? It will take us about 2 hours to get there by carriage."
"Isnt the train faster?" Cole asked remenbering how fast he got to ponyville when he was escaping.
"No the train would take 4 hours...You slept for 3/4 of the trip on youre escape attempt remember?" Luna asked
"Ya....how did you know that?"
" I put a monitoring spell on you and was rooting for you the entire way."
"Um... thanks?" Cole said feeling a bit violated but shruged it off. "Well I am ready if John Is ready." He said.
"I am ready to go." John said.
"Alright then yes we arre ready."
"Then please follow me to the hanger. " Luna said as she started walking.
They walked down more hallways until they came to an open well lit area the looked like well, a hanger. there was a Dark blue chariot in front of them and a team of 4 night guards where hitched to the pull.
They got in and with a small lerch the Guards started galloping towards the edge of the hanger. As they where about to go over the edge they opened there wings and the chariot ascended into the air.
Cole was a bit nerved by the open ended back to the charoit but the ride was enjoyable the wind was a bit cold, Cole despite his best judgement looked over the edge, it was beautiful, behind them the city lights glowed beneth them. and infront COle could see a small glow in the distance.
"Thats ponyville over there." Luna said while pointing twords the small glow. "We are headed strait to the forest to set up."
Cole crouched with John behind a bush hidden from view next to the Nightmare moon statue.
He doned his darkened armor with an enchantment Luna thought to put on his eyes to make them glow red on command.
He heard voices with footsteps... Hoofsteps? Cole shook his head, this was not the time to think about all the puns this world had to offer.
Cole saw thru the bushes a group of fillys and colts being lead by a Zebra and mint green a unicorn remembering what luna had told him about nightmare night traditions and who was coming, that must be Zicora and Lyra.
"The night is still young." Zicora started saying. "Place down youre offerings to begin the fun."
Each of the fillys and colts duped a good portion of candy from their buckets before the statue.
"You have done well to appease me little ones." a darker version of Luna's voice said on the wind. The statue was Replaced by what was obvously a darker version on Luna her wings where replaced by giand ebony batwings her entire coat turned as black as the void of nothing ness and her mane turned a lighter blue and her eyes shone like great big evil safires with slits for peplos.
She hopped off the statue and with flash of lightning she was her normal self again. "This year I am changeing it up a little." Her horn flashed and a nearby campfire pile was engoulphed in flame.
"I will tell you about some of the most horrific monsters we have faced or told storys of." she said with a smile "It is said some of these creatures still live in this forest hunting on those who dare to enter..." She paused for effect. "One such creature is the Human."
They all gathered around the fire in front of the statue. "But before I tell you that story, I am going to tell some you might have already heard."
Cole sat with John as they lissoned to storys about giant bears, headless horses, old ponys who lost a rusty horse shoe for some odd reason, they wernt that scary, but they where fun to lisson to.
"Now I will tell you little ones the legend of the human... They say that there is an old race of Bipedial creatures that would watch the world grow around them, they would watch and learn, they are Human they where as smart as us, as talented as us, some of these humans would even go out and slay dragons to steal there life force to live longer! " Some of the ponies gasped.
Cole, Lyra and Zicora already knew the story was fake so no harm done.
Luna continued "After a major battle with the alicorns of old the humans dissapered into this forest and where rarely ever seen again, but if there is a bad little filly or colt in a town near the forest, one human comes out and eats them in there sleep!" Luna said causeing more lightning to flash. Some of the fillys screemed.
"h-how do we stop them?" a Little Colt asked Cole started creeping behind the young ones back slowly moving his head closer and closer to be inbetween two of them but stayed quiet. "They only have one thing they cant resist and thats--"
"Chocolate." Cole said startleing all the little ones and causeing, one on the end of the log to fall off. "and a good story"
The children where frozen in fear as Cole bowed to Luna. "It is good to see you again Princess may I and my companion partake in some of youre, chocolate?" Cole said with a smile and eyes glowing as practaced, on que, John apppered russled the bush as he appered. Causeing the children to gasp yet again.
"You may as long as you promoise not to eat these children."
"Deal!" Cole said quickly as possible before grabbing 2 candy bars from the pile, and tossing one to John who grasped in a magic bubble.
Cole sat down on a log with John and started munching on the bar.
Swollowing what he ate before he said "So.. morsals, I mean children... any questions?"
One of the fillys stood up and walked twords him and John.
"Applebloom be careful"! a white unicorn filly said her mane was a cupple difrent shades of purple.
"Calm down sweetie bell he is harmless." the filly responded she was yellow with a red mand and a big bow in her hair.
Applebloom walked twords the log and sat down next to Cole.
"How do you know I am not dangerus?" Cole asked her.
"Well besides the fact that the princess here wouldn't put all of us in real danger, Ive been readin' up on creatures of equestria and all of what Luna's story had said was never mentioned except just plain paranoia."
Cole frowned slightly "Ok, you got us, the creature is real but the story is false, you are just to smart for us."
" Hey! Maybie you got a Cutiemark in problem solving!" A small orange pegasus with a purple maine said.
"Maybie youre right Scootaloo!" Applebloom said then looking excitedly at her flank then frowned "No still blank.." she said
Some of the other Fillys giggled at her.
"Whats a cutiemark?" Cole said outloud causeing the children to twitch, they forgot about the newest creature amongst them.
Applebloom stood on the log and looked up at Cole "How the heck do ya'll not know what a cutiemark is? Its a mark that appears on our flank when we learn what our talent is!"
Thats when Cole notaced all the marks on most of the ponies flanks.
"Dont humans get something?" she asked with curiosity.
"No, we dont where i comefrom if you find somthing you are good at you get a pat on the back and told good job, then we move on to the next thing we are good at."
"So humans have meany talents?" she asked.
"Yes, I guess we do." Cole said before taking another bite out of the chocolate bar.
"Children we shouldent linger here, incase something draws near." Zicora said getting up.
"Zicora is right, we should probobly go back to ponyville now." Luna said
"But what about the human and the changeling?" Applebloom asked
"Well Cole, the humman is going to be living with me. and John, the changeling is living with Twilight, for the time being." Lyra said.
"This is just my way to say hi, besides Luna and I really scared you all didn't we?" Cole said as they started walking back to the town
There was mix of yeses and some nos.
"Do you all actuly have questions for me or John?" Cole asked
"Ya, why do you travel with a changeling?" Scootaloo asked.
"Well Cole saved my life, I was being chased by a mantacore and Cole killed it with a single arrow to the face." John said
"Oh ya i still have the pelt and meat from that. Who wants to see the pelt?" Cole said
" I dont beleave you!" a small pink gray haired Filly said her cutiemark matched the dimond taria on her head.
"ya prove it!" a small gray white haired filly said her Cutiemark was of a silverspoon.
"Sure , but what are youre names?"
"I'm Dimondtiara" The pink one said "and I am Silver Spoon." The gray one said
"Ok, Here you go." Cole pulled the pelt out of the void. And showed the hole where his arrow penetrated the hide inbetween the eyes.
"Woh." Scootaloo comented "Thats awsome! You are so cool!"
"yup" Cole said puting it back.
There was a deep growl of something to the left.
Cole pulled out his sword and it started glowing red. "Just incase." he ashured the ponies.
They kept walking untill they came to the edge of the forest, and Cole put the sword away.
"I would change into something more happy if I where you." Luna said
"Ok" Cole told the armor to go home. With a small flash he was back in his street clothes with the bandanas on his arms.
As they walked into town they got some strange looks and everybody started murmering.
Everybody qent quiet as Luna cleared her throat to speak.
"Good evening my subjects, I hope you are all enjoying the festivities, as you can plainly see there is a human and a changeling next to me. I give you my word they are harmless unless prevoked, this is Cole The Human and John The Changeling, they will be staying in ponyville from this moment on. " Luna paused for a moment "You are to treat them as you would any other pony, this is a test for you all."
"Pleased to meet you all." Cole said only to be met with an akward silence.
"Come with me Cole we shalst have fun!" Luna said picking up what looked like a plush spider and throwing it at a web.
Cole and John followed Luna around for the rest of the night going from game to game. Cole was delighted to discover they gave out full size candy bars for each win.
Looking around some ponies would stare at him and John, it was a tad creepy but not by much.
"This is a better reaction from them since the first time I came to ponyville for nightmare night."
"What happened?"
"You know the form I took in the forest to scare the children?"
"Ya"
"Well after i was releaced from my prison on the moon, I tryed to take over again and scared eveypony in the prosses, so when I came back, I also didnot know not to use the royal voice..."
"Let me guess they thought you where evil and came back for revenge?"
"Yes." Luna said drooping her head slightly
"Hey dont be sad you are better now, and shure they are staireing at me and John is a bit creepy but I dont blame them." Cole said before sighing "It is probobly what my kind would do... before they call the goverment, or animal control."
"Do I want to know what they woulld do to us after the goverment took said creature?" Luna asked with an eyebrow raised.
"No, and I wish I didn't know." he replied "Hey is that bobbing for apples!?" He said changing the subject. and runng over to the pony running the station.
"Hey, Applejack hows it goin?"
"Howdy Cole you want to try?"
"Sure!" Cole said plungeing his head into the tub.
"Hey Applejack" John said
"Hey John."
Cole emerged from the tub his hair soalking wet and an apple in his mouth. Standing up he took the apple out of his mouth and then took a bite.
"This is delishius! Wayy better them the crap my kind grows!" Cole exclaimed
The ponies around them looked a bit more relaxed, Cole took another bite, and earned some stranger looks. swollowing he asked the watchers "What?"
"We thought humans where carnavores, arnt they?" a male unicorn asked
"No we are omnavores we eat meat and plants..." Cole had the felling he is going to have to say that alot.
As the night started getting late the children where sent home for bed. Thats when the real fun began apple jack brought in a cart full of berrels.
Cole had one guess "Hey is that hard cider?"
"Shure is!" Rainbow said grabing a mug and filling it.
Cole was underage of corse back on earth, but that did not stop him from drinking there and it wont stop him here.
He grabbed a mug and filled it, and took a sip. It wasn't that hard he berly tell there was eny alcohol in it.
He turned to Applejack and asked "This is not that strong, did i grab from the wrong berrel?"
"Which one did ya'll get your fill from?"
Cole pointed to the berrel.
"Oh, theres youre problem thats the weekest brew, try that one if you want somthin strong." she said pointing to the far left berrel.
Cole drank the weak brew before refilling his mug, he took a sip, It was just like hard apple cider at home but made with better apples. there was an even amount of sweetness of the apple and the bitterness of alcohol. This was way stronger then the first one he tried.
He took another sip it had what was average in most ciders as far as alcohol went.
Finding Applejack he asked "is the far left berrel the norm here?"
"No that has a bit more then what we usally put in, ya'll dont drink to much now ya hear?" she said.
