Prologue - Memories of the Past

???

She awoke with a start. It was pitch black where she was sleeping, and the floor was as cold as ice. She got up slowly, being extremely cautious about everything she did.

Her sight was dim. She couldn't see more than a foot in front of her face. Where am I? she thought to herself. She put a hoof on the floor in front of her. She couldn't tell if there was a huge drop or not. Her face sweated like a furnace on a cold winter day. After feeling the floor, and determining that there was not a huge drop around her, she got up and moved forward. She was still cautions about the floor, so she kept one hoof on the ground in front of her.

She could tell that she was on a small, metal room. She came to the wall not long after she started to walk. Staying along the wall, she made her way around the small room. She eventually discovered that she wasn't going anywhere fast. The door she found had been locked tightly and prevented her from leaving this small area.

Staying in one of the corners, she tried to remember what happened before coming to this strange place. Sadly, there was only one thing she could remember.

She repeated what she could remember in her head multiple times, scared that she might lose it too. My name is Twilight Sparkle, she said to herself. My name is Twilight Sparkle. My name is Twilight Sparkle. My name is Twilight Sparkle.

Ponyville Library September 12th 1002

Rainbow Dash loved her home. It was filled with books along every shelf. It was one of many places she excitedly sat and read books that came to her liking.

Her mentor, Princess Celestia, had allowed her to stay here in Ponyville to study friendship. When she came here, she thought that was a stupid thing to study. Still, she would have never met her four best friends if she didn't.

Her memories got the best of her, and took her deep into her own thoughts. Back to the day she came to Ponyville.

Canterlot Castle Library June 20th 1001

"Spike!" Rainbow called to her assistant. "I need you to find a book for me!"

No reply came. Rainbow at first assumed that he hadn't heard her, until she saw him sleeping on a book she told him to read.

She quietly walked over to the sleeping dragon, being careful not to wake him. Right when she was next to his ear, she yelled at the top of her lungs: "SPIKE WAKE UP!"

The startled dragon awoke instantly, lost his balance, and fell onto the floor behind him. "Don't do that, Rainbow," he said once he realized what was going on. "You know I don't like being awoken when I'm having an ice cream dream."

"How am I supposed to know wether you were having an ice cream dream or not?" Rainbow asked back.

"You're not. Your supposed to assume having one and let me sleep."

"Very funny, Spike. I need you to find a book for me."

"Why do you need me to find it?"

"Because you know the way around this Library more than I do."

"Fine," he said, finally giving in. "What's the book called?"

"I need an old book about predictions and prophecies."

"Why do you need that book?"

"I read something about the Elements of Harmony, and I thought that the book would provide more information about them."

"Well, here it is," Spike told Rainbow.

"Wow, that was quick. Where was it?" she asked.

"You told me to put it in your read later pile about an hour ago."

"Oh. Right."

Spike handed her the book, which she quickly flipped through to the 'E' section.

"Elements of Harmony," she read aloud. "- see: Mare in the Moon?"

"Mare in the Moon?" Spike asked. "But that's just an old ponies tale."

Rainbow ignored her and continued to the 'M' section of the book. "Mare, mare, mare. AHA!" she slightly yelled when she found the page. "The Mare in the Moon. Myth from old pony times. A powerful pony who wanted to rule Equestria. Defeated by the Elements of Harmony and forever trapped in the moon. Legend has it that on the longest day of the thousandth year, the stars will aid in her escape, and she will bring nighttime eternal!" *Gasp* "Spike! Do you know what this means?"

"No," he confessed.

"Take a letter," she told him. "To the princess."

"Oakie, Dokie."

My dearest teacher,

It has come to my attention, that we are on the brink of disaster. It is in fact that the Mare in the Moon is in fact Nightmare Moon! If she arrives, she will bring with her eternal night!

Something must be done to make sure this terrible prophecy does not come true. I await your quick response.

Your student, Rainbow Dash.

"Okay, so now what?" Spike asked.

"Send it."

"Right now?"

"Yes, Spike. Now."

"But the day after tomorrow is the Summer Sun Celebration. She is going to be extremely busy."

"That's just it, Spike. The celebration marks the longest day of the thousandth year. Its important that she is told at once!"

"Okay, Rainbow. Sheesh," he said before burning the letter with his flames.

Ponyville Library September 12th 1002

The rest was pretty simple. She was sent to Ponyville, the sight of the Summer Sun Celebration, and was supposed to check up on the decorations, music, ect. She, however, had different plans. Once she was done with checking the preparations, she went strait to the local library she was staying at. She planned on studying about Nightmare Moon, but found it impossible due to the pink pony she encountered when she came to Ponyville.

The party was great and all, but Nightmare Moon still appeared and her new friends went into the Everfree Forest to defeat her using the 5 Elements of Harmony. Once defeated, she turned back into Princess Luna, Princess Celestia's younger sister. Rainbow was allowed to stay in Ponyville with her new friends that she made there.

She came out of her memories as quickly as she went into them. Spike was in the kitchen, calling to her, but she had been too distracted to notice.

"Rainbow!" he called. "Message from the princess!"

"What?" she asked. "What does it say?"

"She wants you to come to Canterlot. Something came up and she wants you there immediately."

"Should I bring the girls?"

"No. She said to come alone. Strange. She never explained why," he noted. "She always does."

"Maybe it was too important to write about," she said. "Anyway, if the girls ask where I am, tell them Celestia summoned me and I had to leave without saying goodbye."

"Will do, Rainbow. Have a safe trip!"

"Rainbow Dash nodded back at him and flew as quick as she could out the door. She flew strait for Canterlot, and strait for the mystery that awaited her there.

Dark Room Unknown Date

Twilight Sparkle lay on the icy cold floor. Ever since she got here, that was the only feeling she could tell about this dark room. It was freezing cold.

She quickly got used to the cold. It was the only thing she could feel, which made it easier to adapt to her small environment. The metal walls around her were like a barricade. They seemed to want to keep her in.

Why? she asked herself. Why am I in this room? What does everypony who put me in this room want with me? Who am I?

Why are the memories of my past gone?

A light quickly flickered on, making Twilight flinch at its brightness. Adjusting to the light, she could indeed tell she was in a small metal room. She continued to glance at her surroundings until she spotted a door along one of the walls. Immediately, she ran towards the door, only to turn the handle and find out that it was locked.

Sinking back into the corner she once sat, she once again gathered her thoughts. Okay, she thought. My name is Twilight Sparkle, I'm in a small metal room with one door that is locked, and I cannot remember anything that happened before I woke up in this room other than my name. Yup. That basically sums it up.

She continued to sit in the room, waiting. Waiting for something to happen. Waiting for a chance to escape. Waiting for Somepony to come to her aid.

Waiting for somepony to tell her what was going on around here.

Unexpectedly, Twilight heard the door give a small click. The door opened soon after, and revealed a cyan pegasus standing in the doorway.

"Hello," the pegasus said. "My name is Rainbow Dash. I would like to ask you a few questions, if that is a right with you."

Chapter 1 - The Interrogation

15 Minutes Earlier

Canterlot Castle September 12th 1002

Rainbow Dash had flown at top speeds toward Canterlot Castle. From Ponyville to there, she arrived in about 1 minute and 43 seconds. The castle was nothing out of the ordinary. It was certainly taller than most buildings everywhere else, but it was only used as a home for the princesses and a capital for the country. That basically made it just like every other building in Equestria.

When the cyan pegasus arrived at the castle, she was immediately greeted by none other than the royal guard.

"Halt!" one of the guards cried. "State your name and-"

"Hey guys," Rainbow said. "What's up?"

"Why, Rainbow Dash," the guard said. "What brings you to the castle?"

"I came because Princess Celestia asked me to come here about something urgent. However, I do not know where she is, and I wish to be escorted to her."

"Of course, Ms. Dash," replied the second guard. "Please, follow me."

Although Rainbow didn't like being bothered by the guards and asking them for directions on how to get to the princess, she had no other choice. The princess had left it completely vague on why she wanted Rainbow over in Canterlot so quickly. She shrugged off the feeling and continued walking down the hall with her escort.

She would find out soon enough.

The guard led her down another corridor. Why are we headed toward the dungeons? she thought to herself. There hasn't been a single crime in all of Equestria that had somepony being sent down there.

"Hey, umm," she began, "if you don't mind me asking, why are we headed toward the dungeons?"

"That is where Princess Celestia wants to talk to you," he replied. "I don't honestly know why, but that is all she told me."

"I understand."

They two of them descended the stairs that led to the dark dungeons of the castle. Once they were there, the guard pointed toward a single door and said the princess was in there. Rainbow opened the door to instantly be greeted by the princess.

"Rainbow Dash!" she exclaimed. "Thank the heavens you came."

"If you don't mind me asking, princess," Rainbow interrupted. "Why did you want me to come down here?"

"Come here, and I shall show you."

Rainbow made her way to sit next to the princess. Once she sat there, she noticed a small black window in front of them. Celestia flicked on a switch, making the window instantly brighten, and revealing a near empty room.

In the corner of the room, a purple unicorn stayed in the corner, shielding the light from her eyes. Her eyes quickly adjusted and set upon the door on the other side of the room. The unicorn ran over to the door, only to find out that it was locked. She quietly sulked back into the corner she once sat, not looking in the direction of the window.

Rainbow could tell that the unicorn was another mare, but other than that, there was nothing else she noticed about her. "Princess," she began, "why is she here? Did she do something wrong?"

"Not that I know of, my faithful student," Celestia replied. "But that is not the reason we took her here."

"Then what was your reason?"

"Look closely at her back."

Rainbow obliged, and took a closer look at the unicorn's back. She didn't notice anything at first, but the closer look allowed her to see two purple wings on her back. She was an alicorn!

"How is she an alicorn?" the cyan pegasus quickly asked. "I thought only you, Princess Luna, and Princess Cadence were the only alicorns in Equestria!"

"So did I," said the white alicorn. "She appeared in the castle right in front of me. I had never seen her before, but that wasn't what got me so interested in who she is. Seeing those wings and horn quickly got me into thinking: Who is this mare? Where did she come from? Are there more alicorns out there? and other questions like that."

"Why did you bring her here?"

"Alicorns are powerful, Rainbow. Alone, they crush all earth ponies might, outwit the smartest unicorns, and out-maneuver the most agile of the pegasus. They can do all of those things if given time, training, and necessary skills for mastering these techniques."

"But why did you bring her here? She could have explained who she was if you allowed her to wake up in the throne room."

"That may be true, Rainbow, but there is also the fact that alicorns can sense where other alicorns are. Before she appeared in front of me, she had never been on radar. She didn't exist before then. Alicorns don't just appear out of nowhere, Rainbow Dash. that is why I took her here."

"Okay, if that is why you took her here, why am I here?"

"I fear that she may not take a liking to meeting someone like me just yet. I need you to go in and interrogate her."

"Me?" Rainbow asked. "Why me? Applejack would have certainly been a better choice for this task. She is the Element of Honesty after all."

"I know, but after she awoke this morning, I feared the worst would happen. I couldn't wait for the train to pick you girls up and bring you over here. I needed somepony I could rely on to get here as quick as possible."

"Me," Rainbow stated.

"That's correct."

Rainbow sat on the couch behind them. Who is this mare? she thought to herself. Why did she come here? Where did she come from?

The thoughts buzzed in her head. She could have continued thinking of questions, but Princess Celestia interrupted her thoughts.

"Will you talk to her Rainbow Dash?" she asked.

Rainbow, after thinking for about another 30 seconds, replied: "Yes, your highness. I shall do it."

"Excellent. Please head through these doors when you are ready." She pointed a hoof at a pair of double doors. Rainbow immediately went through them, and came to another door that led to the room with the purple alicorn.

She unlocked the door, opened it and said to the mare: "Hello. My name is Rainbow Dash. I would like to ask you a few questions, if you don't mind."

The Interrogation Room September 12th 1001

Twilight stared at the pegasus who opened the door. The obvious things she first noticed were her voice: telling her that she was a mare; her coat: a cyan blue color; and her wings that were folded to her side. She also noticed that her mane and tail were a variety of colors. It went from red to orange to green to every other color of the rainbow.

She thought about what she had said to her: Hello. My name is Rainbow Dash... Her name was Rainbow Dash. She repeated that several times in her head to make sure she would not forget it.

"Umm," the mare who entered the room interrupted her thoughts. "Is it all right that I ask you some questions?"

Without speaking, Twilight nodded her head to say 'yes' to her question.

"Thank you," she had replied. "Now, I would like to start off with something simple. Where are you from?"

Twilight shook her head. She didn't know where she was from.

"Okay then. What are you doing here?"

Again, she shook her head.

This pattern continued. "What are the names of your parents?" - Another shake of the head. "Who is your best friend?" - Another shake of the head. "Do you know who rules this land?" - Another shake of the head.

"What is your name?"

This time, Twilight perked her ears up at the question she could answer. She immediately nodded her head, saying that was a question she could answer.

"Really? You'll answer that question but none of the other ones?"

Twilight nodded her head again.

"Than what is your name?"

Twilight was hesitant. She opened her mouth to speak, but croaked out a small moan instead. Coughing into her arm, she cleared her throat and once again tried to speak.

Her voice was a bit dry, due to not having that much water. "M- My n- name is Twilight Sparkle," she said.

Rainbow Dash's Point of View

Twilight Sparkle. That is what the mare said her name was. It was the only thing she had gotten her to say since she entered the room.

"That's a nice name," she complimented. "Do you remember when you got it?"

"No," she said.

"Do you know who gave it to you?

"No."

"What do you remember about your name?"

"Nothing."

This was getting nowhere. "Why did you not want to answer the other questions I asked you?"

"Its not that I don't want to. I would be happy to answer all of your questions, but I don't know the answer to them."

"How come?"

"I don't remember."

"What do you mean?"

"I don't remember."

"Why don't you remember?"

"I don't know!" she shouted. "All I remember is my name before waking up in this room. Nothing else. Just my name."

"Okay," Rainbow said cautiously. "I'm going to talk to my superiors now. Don't go anywhere."

"Very funny," she replied. "I just want to go home."

Rainbow left the room, leaving the alicorn known as Twilight to her space. She stepped back into the room with the princess standing in the center of the room, waiting for her.

"Well," Rainbow said. "What do you think of her?"

"I don't know," she confessed. "I certainly remember her name from somewhere, but I don't remember."

"It seems she doesn't either," she said, pointing a hoof through the one-way window at the purple alicorn. "She claims to have no memory of anything except her name."

"I know. I saw. I'm trying to decide what we should do now. If she doesn't remember who she is, she wouldn't remember if she was somepony who did a whole bunch of bad stuff. Same thing vice versa."

"What are you getting at?"

"I'm saying that if she was a bad mare, she wouldn't remember if she was supposed to be bad. If she was good, that would make her forget that she was ever good."

"So your saying that somepony could affect her to be a bad pony even though she used to be good?"

"That's exactly what I'm saying."

"What should we do about it?"

"I think that she will need somepony to look after her," Celestia replied. "Even if she was bad, we could convince her to be good. If some good pony took care of her, she would be able to be a better pony entirely."

"That's a great idea! But, who should take care of her?"

"I was thinking that you could, Rainbow Dash."

"What?!" she exclaimed. "Why would you want me to take care of her? I don't know the first thing about taking care of some mentally injured pony."

"I'm sure you'll do fine, my faithful student," Celestia reassured her. "After all, you took care of Spike when he hatched alone in the middle of Canterlot."

"True," Rainbow confessed. "But a full grown pony is an entirely different! She might not like the foods I hand out to her, or Spike himself, or-"

Celestia cut him off. "As I said, I'm sure you'll do fine."

"All, right," Rainbow said, giving in to her wishes. "If you insist."

"Good," she replied. "While you are doing that, I will try to remember when I heard the name: 'Twilight Sparkle.'"

"See you later then, Princess Celestia."

"Till next time, my student."

Celestia made her way out the door immediately after the conversation. Rainbow Dash went back to the room Twilight was kept in.

Opening the door, she greeted the mare by saying: "Congratulations, Twilight! You are allowed to go to your new home!"

Chapter 2 - A New Home

Interrogation Room September 12th 1002

Twilight's ears perked up when she heard the cyan pegasus say that. My new home! she thought. Yes I finally get to go home!

Wait. She said NEW home. What happened to my old home?

"Umm, if you don't mind me asking," she began, "what happened to my old home?"

What bothered her the most at this point wasn't the fact that she would go home, or even the fact that she didn't know where her home was. The fact that bothered her, was that her mouth was still dry from not having any water.

Rainbow looked back at her and said: "I'm sorry, but we don't know where you lived. The only thing we can do, is give you an entirely new home."

"Oh, okay," she replied. "So where is my new home?"

"You'll be staying with me in Ponyville. My mentor and I wish to keep you under close surveillance in case something happens."

"What could happen?"

"I don't know," Rainbow confessed. "Come on. We'll catch the next train to Ponyville."

Rainbow held the door open, allowing Twilight to come through and visit a new room. It wasn't that much different from hate other room, but it seemed to have another set of doors that led elsewhere. Rainbow led the way through the facility. They went up a couple flights of stairs and afterwards, turning corner after corner after corner.

Eventually, they came to the front of the castle. The view was magnificent to Twilight. She had never seen such a view!

Or maybe she had...

Rainbow, who had ignored the scenery, called to Twilight for her to follow. Snapping back to her senses, she obliged and followed her through the streets of Canterlot.

Train Bound for Ponyville You Already Know the Date

Canterlot had been such a marvelous place to Twilight. It had a huge variety of stores and a whole lot of other ponies she had never met before. One distinct characteristic about all of them, was that almost everypony on Canterlot was a unicorn. The only exception was Rainbow, who claimed that she didn't live in Canterlot, nor had she ever considered living there.

Rainbow told Twilight that she grew up in a place called Cloudsdale, a giant floating cloud city. She lived there until her mentor wanted her to become her student. She couldn't refuse such an offer. Every day, she flew to Canterlot for her lessons, and flew back to Cloudsdale at the end of each day.

After the two of them had finally gotten through the crowded streets of Canterlot, Rainbow purchased two train tickets to Ponyville. They were currently on the train, waiting for the moment they arrived in Ponyville.

"So..." Rainbow suddenly spoke. "What do you think about Equestria so far?"

"Its amazing!" she said. "I've never seen a place quite like this! Well, actually, I might have, but I can't remember."

"Don't worry about it, Twi. You don't mind if I call you Twi, do you?" Twilight shook her head. "Good. Saying Twilight over and over again is a mouthful. I'm certain your memories will come back to you in time."

"Yeah," she replied. "I can't wait until that happens."

For the rest of the ride, Rainbow talked about what life was like in Ponyville. She told her about jowl she came to live in Ponyville instead of Cloudsdale. That was the story about Nightmare Moon, and how Rainbow and her four friends restored her to normal using the five Elements of Harmony.

"That's not right," Twilight said when Rainbow told her about the 5 elements.

"Huh?" she asked.

"That's not right. There is something your not telling me."

"Twi, I'm certain that I have told you everything. Why were you saying that it wasn't right?"

Twilight thought for a moment before replying. "I- I don't know where that came from."

The train skidded to a halt. "Well," Rainbow said. "Welcome to Ponyville."

Ponyville And Still The Same Date

Twilight looked at the rural town of Ponyville. It was everything that Rainbow had said it was like. "This place is amazing!" she exclaimed. "Where do you live?"

"I live in the Golden Oaks Library down thataways," she said as she pointed a hoof in a single direction.

"Are we headed there now?"

"Sure. Come on. I'll introduce you to Spike."

Ponyville Library And I Don't See Why I'm Still Making These Long For No Reason Except to Get It In Your Heads That It Is Still The Same Time As Earlier

The library was filled with books. That was the first thing that Twilight seemed to like about this library. She immediately took off toward a bookshelf to see what books were on it. She ignored the fact that this place seemed vaguely familiar.

"What are there?" Twilight anxiously asked when she pointed a hoof at the books.

"Really? You don't know what a book is?" Rainbow asked. She got a slightly stern face from Twilight. "Sorry, but I thought everypony knew what books were. They are a collection of words that are put together in such a way, that they tell a story. Not all books have to tell stories, but that is basically what books are."

"Fascinating!" Twilight exclaimed.

A new voice made Twilight jump. "Rainbow? Are you home?"

The two mares looked in the direction of the voice. At the top of the stairs was a baby dragon. "Who's this?" he asked, pointing a claw at Twilight.

"Spike, this is Twilight," Rainbow told him. "Twi, this is Spike, my assistant."

"You never said your assistant was a lizard!"

"That's hurtful, Twilight," Spike stated. "I'm a dragon, not a lizard."

"Knock it off, you two. Now, if I know her, then she should be here right about now."

"Who?" Twilight asked.

"Pinkie Pie."

As if on que, the door of the library was knocked upon. Rainbow went over and opened the door to reveal a pink pony bouncing up and down on the ground outside.

"Hey, Rainbow!" she said. "Where did you go? Are you surprised to see me? Should I throw you a Welcome-Back-to-Ponyville-Party? Who's you friend? Is she knew? I need to throw her a Welcome-to-Ponyville-party! Where are they from? Do they like parties? What's her special talent? Can I come in?"

Twilight couldn't understand a single word of what she said after: 'Hey, Rainbow.' All of it seemed like a huge mess of words put together in a soup bowl.

Rainbow, however, listened to every word and replied in this order: "Hi, Pinkie. I went to Canterlot. Not really. No, Pinkie, you shouldn't. She's Twilight. Yes she is new. Don't throw it here. I don't know where she is from. I don't know much about her. I don't know what her special talent is. Yes Pinkie, you can come in."

Twilight watched in awe at what Rainbow had done. She completely understood what that pink mare had said, AND gave quick replies to all of her questions. She would have to ask about that later. She was so lost in her thoughts, she didn't notice Pinkie waving a hoof in her face.

"Yoo-Hoo, Twilight!" she called. "Do you like parties?"

Twilight came back to reality and replied: "Umm, I don't know wh-"

A cyan hoof had flown across her mouth. "I'm sure she'll love the party you have planed for her Pinkie. If you don't mind me asking, why are you here?"

"My Pinkie sense told me there was a new pony in Ponyville!" she explained.

Twilight removed the hoof from her mouth. "What's a Pinkie sense?" she asked.

"Its when I get some sort of feeling and it tells me something about a vague and immediate event that happens soon!" the pink mare told her.

"Right," Twilight replied. "Care to help me out here Rainbow?"

"We try not to think about it," she said. "None of it makes any sense to us either. Anyway, Twilight, this is Pinkie Pie. Pinkie Pie, meet Twilight Sparkle."

"Nice to meet you too, Twilight! Where do you want your party to be held?"

"What?"

"Where do you want to hold your Welcome-to-Ponyville-party?"

"Why would I need a party?"

"Well you are new to town, which means that you don't know anypony here. And if you don't know anypony here, then you can't be friends with them. And if you can't be friends with them, you won't have any friends. That's pretty obvious."

Twilight blinked. "Translation?" she asked the pegasus.

She does it to every new pony in Ponyville. Its a way of saying: Welcome to Ponyville!"

"Okay, so what places can we have it?"

"Town hall, Hay and Stay hotel, Sugarcube Corner. Basically anyplace in Ponyville except here. Dashie already doesn't want me throwing it here."

Twilight turned to Rainbow. "Just say: At Sugarcube Corner."

"Umm, I would like to have it at-"

"Great! Town Hall it is then."

"What?"

"Just roll with it."

"Silly Dashie. She is supposed t go along with it. Not roll with it."

"Don't you have a party to plan Pinkie?"

*Gasp* "Your right! I almost forgot! Blue is coming to town today!"

"Wait, who?"

"Not who, silly. I said Blue."

"Who's Blue?" Rainbow asked.

"I don't know," Pinkie confessed. "I've never met him before."

"Then how do you know he's coming to town?"

"My Pinkie sense, silly."

"Right."

"See you later Dashie. See you tomorrow for your party, Twilight!"

"Tomorrow? But-"

The cyan hoof was in her mouth again. "We'll do, Pinkie. See you tomorrow!"

After she left, Rainbow removed her hoof from Twilight's mouth. "What just happened?" she asked.

"Basically," Rainbow started, "you met Pinkie and she is going to throw you a party tomorrow."

"Okay. Its nice to have somepony you can talk to without misinterpreting what they say."

"You'll get used to it. In the meantime, you can check out your room. Its through that door right there."

She pointed Twilight in the direction of the door. Twilight went over to the door, opened it, and found a bed, a couple empty bookshelves, and a few books lying on the floor. "Its not much," Rainbow said. "But with a little elbow grease, it could be as good as new."

"I like it," Twilight told her. Yawning, she said: "I think I'm going to go to sleep now. Feel free to wake me up in the morning."

"No problem," Rainbow said. "G'night Twi."

"Goodnight Rainbow."

Rainbow quietly closed the door, and let Twilight lay down in the bed. When she did, she noticed something was on her back. She got up to see what it was, but saw nothing except two purple wings by her side.

Chapter 3 - The Dream

Twilight's Room In The Ponyville Library September 12th 1002 Yes It Is Still The Same Date

Twilight couldn't believe she had wings. Wings, for her own little self!

A few thoughts flew through her head then. Her first thought was about flying around her room. The second was telling Rainbow Dash in the other room and asking her for proper instructions about how to fly. Her third thought was why she had never noticed them before. The final thought was about going back to the bed and waiting till tomorrow to do ideas #1-3.

The fourth thought was seeming pretty persuasive right about then. She had lost her memory, woke up in a cold room, interrogated to only reveal her name to them, and gotten a new home in a single day. She was pretty tired after that.

Without another thought, she crept back into the bed to sleep.

Upstairs Bedroom Ponyville Library No Need For The Date

Rainbow left the alicorn to her room. It felt strange to her, taking care of another pony. She may have taken care of Spike ever since his egg was found, but he was a Dragon! Not a pony.

What made her even more uncomfortable, was the fact that besides her being a completely lost alicorn that appeared out of nowhere, she seemed familiar to the pegasus. She was certain she never met her before, but she still seemed familiar.

What bothered her even more, was how she reacted to hearing about the 5 Elements of Harmony. What did she mean that I was hiding something from her? she thought. I'm certain I told her the truth about the elements.

"What are you thinking about?" Spike the dragon asked her.

"Nothing much," she told him. "It just feels that I've met her somewhere before, when I know for certain that I haven't."

"The unicorn?"

"Actually, she is an alicorn."

"Whoa, really? That's so cool! There used to only be three alicorns, but now there are four! Dash, you got to admit that it is cool!"

"Yeah, it is cool, but before earlier today, she never existed."

"What do you mean?"

"Alicorns have a power that tells them where another alicorn is. Before today, Celestia only sensed two other alicorns. When Twilight down there appeared, she instantly sensed another."

"Your point is?"

"She never existed," Rainbow said. "She just appeared out of thin air. Alicorns don't just appear out of thin air, Spike. She isn't supposed to be here."

"Why?" Spike asked with a suddenly stern face.

"Huh?" Rainbow asked back.

"You heard me. Why?"

"Why what, Spike?"

"Why shouldn't she exist?"

"You heard me. She just appeared out of thin air. Ponies don't just appear out of thin air, Spike."

"That may be true," he said. "But there is also the fact that she is here now. You can't deny that Dash."

"Then what am I supposed to say?" she asked.

"That isn't for me to decide," he replied.

Rainbow stood there after hearing his response. That's all she did for the next half hour. Stand. Spike had noticed this, and went to bed without another word.

After the half hour was up, Rainbow came to her senses. Looking around, she noticed that all the lights were off with the baby dragon sleeping in his little basket. Her bed called to her. She obliged, and layer in her bed to sleep.

Dreamscape Yay! There Is No Time Here

Twilight layer in a small field of fresh grass. The grass felt warm beneath her, edging her to stay lying in the field forever.

"Twilight!"

The blue sky above her had very few clouds, which was very much to her liking. It have her an even better time to enjoy the sunlight.

"Twilight! Can you hear me?"

A trio of butterflies flew past her face onto an apple tree. What got her attention even more, were the three balloons tied to the tree with only three apples on it. Carved into the trunk of the tree was the shape of three gemstones. These gemstones were painted bright blue, much to the weirdness of the dream.

"Twilight! Answer me!"

The sudden noise interrupted her thoughts about the tree. She turned in the direction of the voice, but nothing was there except for the empty field.

"Answer me, Twilight!"

The voice was perfectly clear on what it wanted. It knew Twilight, and was looking for her.

"Who's there?" she called to the voice.

The sky suddenly filled with puffy white clouds. One cloud floated right above the tree from earlier and shot out a blast of rainbow colored lightning. The tree, however, didn't catch on fire. Instead, it changed between all the colors of the rainbow.

"Twilight!" the voice once again called.

Turning once again, she saw a dark blue unicorn standing in the middle of the field. A completely worried look on her face showed.

"Twilight! Where have you been?" she asked. "You just disappeared from in front of us. Celestia couldn't sense you anywhere. Where did you go?"

"Umm," Twilight faltered. "I'm sorry, but have we met before?"

"Of corurse we have, Twilight! Who else helped restore me to being the princess of the night?"

"I don't think you have the right mare," Twilight said to the unicorn. "I have never met you before."

"Don't joke like that, Twilight. You know I don't like it when I am being toyed with."

"I'm not joking. I really haven't met you before."

"This is starting to get ridiculous, Twilight," the mare said as she revealed two wings flaring from her sides. "Look at me and tell me you don't recognize the one and only Princess Luna!"

Twilight got the looking part down. As soon as the mare revealed two wings on her back, Twilight fell into a bottomless hole that appeared behind her. She fell through the darkness until she awoke.

Ponyville Library September 13th 1002 Finally A New Date

Twilight awoke with a lot of sweat on her forehead. The mare in her dreams didn't seem to have those wings a second before she unfolded them. It was completely unexpected of her to see both wings and a horn on the same pony.

In fact, that was the first pony she had seen with both wings and a horn. She had seen Rainbow Dash with her wings, A bunch of unicorns at Canterlot, and Pinkie Pie had neither wings, nor a horn.

I should ask Rainbow about it later, she thought. She knows more about ponies than I do.

She started her walk towards the door out of the room. She then noticed a mirror standing net to the wall, covered in dust. Walking over to it, she blew on it, making most of the dust scatter in different directions. The mare she saw in the mirror looked exactly like her. Her purple wings rested to her sides, her mane was-

Wait. What's that in her mane? She couldn't see it properly because there was still some dust in the way. Blowing directly at the spot where she saw the weird lump, the dust cleared away from the mirror, making it visible to see the horn atop her head.

A scream interrupted Rainbow from her blissful sleep. She had dreamed about her being the newest member of The Wonderbolts, her lifetime heroes.

That dream, however, was fairly common to her. The screaming of a mare just downstairs was not. Instantly, she threw off the covers, and flew strait downstairs toward the scream.

The scream had come from Twilight's room, which was strange because nopony would ever want to hurt her for any reason whatsoever. Opening the door, she could clearly see that there was no danger inside the room. Twilight sat in front of a dusty mirror, staring at her reflection.

"What's wrong Twi?" Rainbow desperately asked. "Why did you scream?"

"Why do I have both a horn and wings?" she asked back. "Nopony else does, so why do I?"

"What do you mean, Twi? I thought you knew you had wings and a horn."

"No, I didn't. You have wings, ponies in Canterlot have horns, and Pinkie has neither. so why do I have both?"

"I don't know," Rainbow confessed. "My mentor just found you lying in a field. I have no idea why you are what you are?"

"And what does it make me?" Twilight asked. "A pegacorn?"

Rainbow muffled a laugh. "No. Your an alicorn."

"An alicorn?"

"Yeah, that;s right."

"An alicorn," she repeated. "Its a nice title, but I like pegacorn better."

"Why's that?" Rainbow asked, still trying very hard not to laugh.

"Because it hilarious!" she said, bursting into a gigantic laughing spree.

Rainbow joined in, not being able to resist the urge to laugh anymore. The two of them continued to laugh until Twilight broke the silence.

"S- So," she began, still laughing a bit. "Are there any other alicorns other than me?"

"Yeah, actually," Rainbow replied. "There are three others like you. Princess Cadence, Princess Luna, and my mentor, Princess Celestia."

Twilight's ears had perked when she heard that second name. "Did you say, Princess Luna?"

"Yeah! Why? Do you know her?"

"In a way, yes. She appeared in my dream last night. She knew me, but I had never met her before. At least, I dont remember meeting her before."

"That's strange. Maybe one day I will take you to see her. You might find out some answers about your past."

"Maybe."

A knock came at the front door, which Rainbow immediately went to answer it. Opening the door, she saw Pinkie standing at the door, handing out invitations to a party.

"Hi, Dashie!" she said.

"Hey, Pinkie," she said back. "What brings you here today?"

"The surprise party, duh," she said as if it wasn't anything to be not knowing.

"Pinkie, its a welcome party. You told Twilight about it yesterday. She already knows about it."

"Naw Uh," she argued. "Her party is now being combined with another pony's party. Both of them will be super surprised to find their parties combined."

"Right. Anyway, when is the party?"

"In 30 minutes."

"Pinkie, you should start planning your parties better. You hand out invitations a couple days before the party, not half an hour before it."

"But then I would have to wait to throw the party! You know how I get when I don't throw a party for a couple days, Dashie."

Rainbow gulped, remembering the last time she had experienced that. "Yeah, don't remind me," she said.

"Good! See you at the party!"

She bounced off, leaving the invitation in the door's mailbox.

"Hey Twi!" she called. "How about we go for a walk around the town?"

Chapter 4 - The Mysterious Stallion Called Blue

Ponyville September 13th 1002

Twilight walked through the streets of Ponyville with Rainbow Dash at her side. It was completely strange. She wakes up in a place she's never been before, can't remember who she is, and just found out that she is one of 4 alicorns in the world.

The worst part about walking through town then was everypony staring at her wings and horn. They all murmured something that was definitely too far away to hear. One thing she was certain of, was that they definitely weren't used to seeing an alicorn walking the streets.

Rainbow led the way around the town, pointing out all of the recognizable places she could find. "That place there is Sugarcube Corner. That one is The Hay and Stay Hotel. Over there is the shop, Quills and Sofas, and over there is Town Hall," Rainbow told her.

Twilight made sure to make a mental note of all the places she pointed out. While she was doing that, Rainbow guided her towards Town Hall.

Upon reaching the building in the center of town, they walked in to find all of the lights had been turned off.

"Is it supposed to be this dark?" Twilight asked. Right after she said that, the lights flashed on, revealing most of the ponies in Ponyville she had seen on the way here.

"SURPRISE!" shouted Pinkie Pie. "Welcome to Ponyville, Twilight! Were you surprised? Were you? Were you? Huh? Huh? Huh?"

"Very surprised," Twilight said, holding her chest. "How did you manage to get all of this done overnight?"

"Oh, no silly. I did all of this right before you showed up."

Now Twilight was extremely curious to the secrets held within this pink earth pony. "How did you manage to do that?" she asked.

"Well, Party Cannon, duh," she said, pulling a small, silver cannon out of what seemed like nowhere. "I never leave my home without it!"

"Where did yo-" she started. The same cyan hoof from yesterday had once again found its way into Twilight's mouth.

"Great party Pinkie," Rainbow said. "You said earlier that this party was for another stallion called Blue. Tell me, do you know where he is?"

"I haven't the slightest idea about that, Dashie. I left him a note, but I have no clue if he picked it up yet."

"Right. Where did you leave the note?"

"I left it in the middle of the street."

"Pinkie, why did you do that?"

"Because he's going to pick it up there."

"What makes you so sure that he would be the one to pick it up and not somepony else?"

"My Pinkie sense, silly!"

"Right. Pinkie, do you know what this, 'Blue' even looks like?"

"I have no idea!"

"Then how do yo- Never mind."

"How do like the party, Twilight?"

Twilight removed the hoof from her mouth. "I certainly would have enjoined it better if I wasn't being forced not to talk by Rainbow here."

"Heh, sorry Twilight," Rainbow apologized.

About An Hour Later At The Same Place

The party was unlike anything Twilight had ever seen. It had these things called 'games' where you do something nada everypony has fun doing it. One of the 'games' was called pin the tail on the pony, where you get blindfolded and have to pin a fake tail on a poster with a pony with no tail on it. Pinkie Pie managed to take her own tail off and pin it to the poster, leaving the fake tail on her flank.

Honestly, Twilight thought. That pony has to be hate strangest pony I've ever met! Well, she is also the only strange pony I've met, but still.

There were numerous party guests. All of them were different in some way. One was a unicorn with a blue coat and a blue and white mane, while another was an earth pony with a red mane and a white coat.

What Twilight certainly noticed that was different about all of them, was the mark on their flanks. Pinkie had balloons, Rainbow Dash had a cloud with a rainbow lightning bolt, and another had bubbles for their mark.

Twilight looked at her own flank, only to see a giant six-pointed star surrounded by five smaller stars. Note to self: Ask Rainbow Dash about these marks later.

Pinkie started to become worried about something. She walked over to Pinkie and asked: "Pinkie, why are you running around like a crazy pony?"

"My Pinkie sense tells me that Blue is going to be here soon!" she said.

"And how does your 'Pinkie sense' know about this?"

"Don't be silly, Twilight. My Pinkie sense tells me about almost everything!"

"Right, and where is your proof on this matter?"

"Hmm, lets see," she said, finally sitting still for a full three seconds. "He's over by the entrance!"

She took off in a flash, leaving Twilight in a daze. After recovering, she followed the open path that Pinkie left behind her.

When she caught up to Pinkie, she was already talking to a grey unicorn stallion with a orange and green mane and orange bubbles on his flank.

When she got closer, the stallion noticed her, went wide eyes and fell to his knees. "Good day Princess Twilight," he said.

Twilight could only stare at home on shock. While she was doing that, the stallion got up and said: "Sorry, but I forgot you didn't want me calling you that. How's your life in Ponyville Twilight?"

"H- How do you know my name?" was all she could ask.

"That's a silly question," he said. "You told me your name the first time we met. Why wouldn't I remember something so important from you."

"But I've never met you!"

"Hey Pinkie. Hey Twilight," Rainbow called from above. "Who's your new friend?"

"This is Blue," Pinkie told her. "He just came in."

"Okay. So your Blue, huh? Nice to meet you. I'm-"

"Rainbow Dash," Blue interrupted.

"Yeah... How did you know my name? I've never seen you around here before."

"He said he already knew it," Twilight answered.

"How do you figure that Twilight?"

"Because he already knew mine."

Ponyville Library About Half An Hour Later

"All right. Who are you, and how do you know our names?" Rainbow asked Blue.

He stood there for a minute, thinking about what Rainbow asked of him. "I already told you that my name is Blue, and you all told me your names," he said.

"Okay, you may know our names, but as soon as you saw Twilight you reacted saying 'Princess Twilight.' Twilight is not a princess, but you acted like she was."

"I reacted like that because she is a princess. She is Princess Twilight Sparkle, bearer of the Element of Magic, bringer of harmony to all of Equestria!"

"And how would you know that?"

"Because she and I are good friends."

"How can that be if she only just met you?"

"She didn't just meet me. I've known her for at least an entire year."

"But she hasn't been here an entire year. She's only been here one day. Furthermore, there is no such thing as the Element of Magic. What in the world is that?"

"The Element of Magic is the most powerful Element of Harmony there is. Without it, the other elements won't work."

"There is no such thing as the 'Element of Magic.' There have been and always will be five elements."

"Not where I came from."

"And just what do you mean by that?"

"Where I come from, there are six elements, and Twilight is the bearer of the Element of Magic. Alongside her friends: Applejack, Fluttershy, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, and you, Rainbow Dash, are all the bearers of the Elements of Harmony. Nothing you say or think will ever change that."

"Well that is mostly correct. I've never met Twilight before yesterday and you seem to know a lot about her."

"Because I do."

"Well then, 'Blue.' You can help her regain her lost memories. You seem to know more about her past than any of us."

"Yeah, but I think I goofed up along the line here," Blue said with a worried expression on his face.

"What do you mean, Blue?" Rainbow asked.

"Because I'm a wanderer of sorts. I travel. Except unlike other ponies, I don't travel across the land. I travel across different realities."

"What do you mean by that?"

"This watch here," he said, showing him the watch. "It allows me to travel between different realities. That is how I already know so much about you guys. I met a different version of you. I recently came to this reality, but I forgot to pretend not to know ponies I've met elsewhere. Because of that, I had to tell you about this truth. You were already curious about me, and now you know the truth."

"Well if your from a different reality, than prove it to me."

"How do you suppose I do that?"

"Take me to see another reality."

Chapter 5 - The Interdimensional Watch

Ponyville Library September 13th 1002

Blue did nothing but stare at the cyan pegasus. "What?" he asked.

"You heard me," Rainbow replied. "Take me to see another reality."

"I'm not sure I should take you."

"Just why not?"

"Because a friend of mine found dangers in taking others from one dimension to another."

"Then why do you travel between dimensions?"

"Because I-" he said before he cut himself off. "I shouldn't say. Either way, its extremely dangerous to find another version of yourself. It could cause a danger to the entire universe."

"That brings up the same question I just asked," Rainbow said. "Why do you travel between dimensions?"

"I shouldn't answer."

"Why?"

"I can't answer."

"Why?"

"Because you wouldn't believe me."

Rainbow stared at him for a minute. "All right," she said. "But still. Take me to another reality."

"Why do you wish to see another reality?" Blue asked.

"What kind of question is that? You say your from another reality, but I don't believe you. If you take me to one, I'll believe you."

Blue sat for a minute in thought. "All right," he said. "Are you sure you are ready for what you might see?"

"Definitely," Rainbow said.

"Then put your hoof on my watch."

Rainbow obliged and put her front right hoof on the blue watch. Blue adjusted the wind-up watch, making a series of lights flash. Rainbow didn't understand a single thing that happened, but Blue continued to adjust the watch by twisting the little knob. After about 30 seconds, he stopped adjusting and asked: "You ready?"

"Yes," came the reply.

Rainbow decided to look at the clock behind them right before they left. It ticked. Then toked. Then ticked again. It read 12:30 PM.

With that, he pushed the button into the watch. The world seemed to dissolve around the two of them as they jumped between realities.

Alternate Reality Unknown Date

The two ponies fell onto the floor as they came into focus with the new reality. Rainbow looked around, obviously seeing Canterlot around them.

"Whoa!" Rainbow exclaimed. "What just happened?"

"That," Blue started, "was a dimensional jump. Very tricky to do. Especially if you bring a passenger."

"Then how did you manage it?"

"I gave extra power to the watch with my magic. With what I used, I will only be able to do it once more today."

"Why's that?"

"Because the watch can only do what it did once a month. When I powered it with my magic, I gave it enough power to do it once more. After that, I can't do another dimensional jump for an entire month."

"Really?"

"Yes."

"Cool!"

They probably would have continued rambling, but a two alicorns came into the room.

"Are you sure Luna?" the tall, white one asked.

"I'm certain, sister," the shorter blue one replied.

They might have continued talking, but Rainbow came up and said: "Teacher! I'm glad I found you! I just met this amazing pony who can travel between dimensions!"

The two alicorns turned toward the sound of the voice, only to find Rainbow Dash standing not to far from them.

"Rainbow Dash?" the white one asked. "Where are the other Elements of Harmony?"

"Umm, what are you talking about Princess?"

"I called you all here, so where are they?"

The big doors on the other side of the room opened suddenly. "Princess! We came as soon as we heard!" a familiar voice called. Five ponies came through. Rainbow recognized them all immediately. Four of them were her friends, Applejack, Fluttershy, Rarity and Pinkie Pie. The fifth was a cyan pegasus with a rainbow mane.

"What's going on?" both of the cyan pegasi asked at the same time.

"This is one of the reasons I didn't want to bring you here, Rainbow," Blue told the pegasus closest to the princesses.

"You never said anything about meeting myself!" Rainbow argued.

"Blue?" the other Rainbow asked. "Is that you?"

"Yes, Rainbow," he replied. "It's me."

"You two know each other?" Rainbow asked.

"Yes, they know me Rainbow."

"Blue, did you bring her here?" the other Rainbow asked.

"Yes I did."

"Enough!" the white alicorn yelled. "Blue, tell us what is going on right now."

"All right, Princess Celestia," he said. He then told her the story of why he and Rainbow Dash was here.

"Well," Celestia said. "That is certainly an interesting story."

"I'll say," the other Rainbow said.

"Okay, before this gets confusing, lets call the Rainbow from this dimension 'Dash' and the one from the dimension I came from 'Rainbow,'" Blue said.

"I can cope with that," Dash said.

"So can I," Rainbow agreed.

"Now on to more pressing matters," Luna began. "Twilight Sparkle has gone missing."

All the ponies in the room stared at her in shock.

"What!" Dash exclaimed.

"Its true Dash," Celestia told her. "She disappeared just yesterday right in front of us."

"We need to find her!" Dash quickly said. "Without her, anything could attack Equestria and we wouldn't be able to fight against it at all!"

"Umm, pardon for interrupting," Rainbow began, "but couldn't you guys just use the Elements of Harmony on the threat?"

"No," Dash replied.

"Why not?"

"Because without Twilight, the elements have no power and cannot be used?"

"But aren't there only five elements?"

"Here, Rainbow, there are six."

"Really?" she asked. "What's the sixth?"

"Rainbow, I told you not 20 minutes ago that it was called the Element of Magic," Blue said."

"Oh," Rainbow chuckled. "Slipped my mind."

"Blue, your timing is impeccable," Dash said. "We need your help to find our missing friend!"

"Way ahead of you, Dash."

"What do you mean by that?"

"I've already found her."

"What!" she exclaimed. "Where is she?"

"In Rainbow's reality," he said. "However, she has lost her memories, and I won't be able to bring her back for an entire month."

"Why's that?"

"Because bringing another pony to an alternate dimension takes a lot out of this watch," he said. "It will take an entire month to recharge all of the energy needed to travel."

"Are you sure you can't adjust it like you did before?" Dash asked.

"That's what I did to make sure I could bring Rainbow here to and from this reality. If it was just me, than I could travel between these dimensions about once a week."

"Well then," Celestia said. "You should probably get back right away, Blue."

"Right you are, Princess! Are you ready to go Rainbow?"

"Yeah," she replied. "Lets go back home."

"Home," Blue said. "Funny you should say that."

"What was that?"

"Nothing. Just put you hoof on the watch.

She obliged, placing her hoof on the watch once again. Blue fiddled with the watch a little before pushing the button into the watch once again.

The world dissolved once again, taking the two ponies right where they came from.

Ponyville Library September Whatchyamacallit Day and Year

The two travelers once again found themselves on the floor of the Ponyville library. Everything seemed just like it had been right before they left.

Rainbow frantically searched the room for a clock. She found one on the wall behind them. It ticked. Then toked. Then ticked again. The time on the clock had only change an entire minute, making the clock read: 12:31.

"How did you do that?" Rainbow asked.

"Do what?" Blue asked back.

"We were clearly gone for nearly half an hour, but only one minuet has passed here. How did you do that?"

"Oh, that's simple," she said. "This watch also allows me to trav-"

"Hello!"

The two ponies turned to see another pony in the room next to them. What shocked them both was that this pony was exactly like Blue!

"What is going on?" Rainbow asked frantically.

"As I was saying," the Blue closest to Rainbow began.

"This watch allows me to travel through time," the Blue that appeared said.

"This is going to be confusing," Rainbow mumbled.

"No it isn't," the other Blue said.

"I'll prove it to you," the closer one said before he adjusted his watch and vanished.

"Where did he go?"

"He went about a minute into the past," the Blue that was left replied. "I appeared in front of you two and said hi. Afterwards, he went into the past and is living it once again."

"That's... kinda cool," Rainbow confessed. "Is there anything else it can do?"

"Well, I'm pretty sure that if you set it to 250 degrees, you can cook an egg on it."

"Very funny."

Back in the Other Dimension

Celestia watched Blue and the other Rainbow Dash disappear before her eyes. It wasn't anything new to her. She had seen Blue vanish in front of her eyes many times before.

She was just glad that he had found Twilight so quickly.

"Princess?" this dimension's Rainbow Dash asked. "What should we do?"

"For now, my subject. Nothing," she told her. "There is nothing we can do. There are only two ponies I know that can help return Twilight to us. Blue was one of them."

"Is the other one who I think it is?"

"Yes. The Doctor is the only other one who could help us. However, I'm afraid that we haven't heard from him since Twilight became a princess."

"Where do you think he could be?"

"Honestly Rainbow, I don't know. He could be traveling millions of years into the future, or studying ancient history of Equestria before it was founded."

"So we just sit and wait for Blue to come back in a month?"

"Yes, Rainbow. If that is what we must do, than that is what we shall do."

Original Dimension's Town Hall About 30 Minutes After Rainbow Left With Blue

The Party continued to be awesome to Twilight. It didn't matter to her that she couldn't remember anything about her past, but what she did care about was that she was having one of the best times she would remember for the rest of her life.

Rainbow had wanted to talk to Blue about 30 minutes ago. If that stallion had any clues about who she was, she would be glad to hear what he has to offer.

The two of them came back not too much later. Immediately, Twilight ran for the two ponies that had just walked in.

"So," she began, "how much does this stallion know about me?" she asked Rainbow.

"A- Actually, Twi," she stuttered. "Blue only knew what your name was. Calling you a princess was something he usually does when he sees an alicorn."

"Oh," Twilight said.

"Don't fell bad, Twilight," Blue told her. "I'm sure that you'll regain your memories in no time. In fact, if you want me to, I'll help you regain your lost memories."

"Really?"

"Really."

"Thanks. Both of you, you are willing to help a complete stranger regain their lost memories. I don't know how I should repay you..."

"You don't need to thank us," Rainbow said. "We would do anything to help somepony like you."

After their conversation was over, the Twilight and Rainbow returned to the party. Blue, however, stayed behind. He knew who Twilight was. It was only a matter of time before the pony who sent her here would find her. He was just glad that he found her first. All that was left, was to keep her safe.

Chapter 6 - Questions of The Mind

Ponyville Library September 14th 1002

The party yesterday was certainly something that Twilight wouldn't forget as long as she remembered it. She had more than a great time. She had a BLAST! That pink earth pony certainly knew how to throw a party.

Now that she thought about it, how had she been able to prepare a party for not one, but two ponies at the same time in less than a day? There was also the fact that she knew about Blue coming when nopony had ever seen in Ponyville before. She might ask Pinkie about that again later. Rainbow had made it pretty keen on not letting her ask.

The entire night had gone without a single strange alicorn appearing in her dreams. That certainly reassured her about the situation. Rainbow had said that the alicorn was in fact Princess Luna. She also said that she would take her to see the princess later in the future.

She then started thinking about what Rainbow had told her yesterday. She had said that Blue only knew her name, and that the title 'Princess Twilight' was a habit of seeing an alicorn.

However, she couldn't help but feel like what she had said was off. That she lied to her. She felt... well, she felt betrayed in some way. Like what Rainbow said wasn't supposed to be said. But, if it was a secret that Blue wanted to keep, than she wouldn't want to push him into revealing it.

She rose from the bed, feeling the cold autumn air outside start to effect the indoor air. She would probably have stayed in the bed, but Blue had promised to teach her about magic.

She stood on the floor of her recently cleaned room. Blue had used his own magic to clear the room of all the dust and dirt that was left when it hadn't been cleaned in a few months. After that, Twilight was certainly curious about how magic worked. She had also seen other unicorns levitate small objects like teacups and open doors magically.

Its amazing to think about what magic can do, she thought. And to think that I am capable of doing that just as much as any other pony. I certainly can't wait until to see what I'll be learning.

She stepped outside her room, expecting to see Blue or Rainbow standing there waiting for her. She saw nopony, not even Spike. She looked around, but the library was as quiet as ever on this day. What day was it? How was she supposed to know? She couldn't remember what her old life was like.

Where is everypony? Why am I alone in the library? She sat on the hard floor beneath her. It was slightly cold, but she got used to it. She sat there and wondered what she should do. She looked at the books around the library. Since there is nothing else to do, I think I'll read a book.

She got up and trotted over to the nearest bookshelf. Loads of books filled its shelves. Each one was a separate color than the one next to it. They varied from green, to red, to blue, and so on. All the books were also different in size. Some were large, others were small. Some were think and others were thin. But which one should she begin reading?

She then began to wonder if she could remember if she could read. All she ever did since she came here was talk, sleep, and walk around the town for the party. What was reading? Did she like to read? Were there different ways to read? Was there anypony else who liked to read? Could they teach her?

She shook those questions from her thoughts. I'll find out sooner or later. She saw a single book at the top of the shelf. She couldn't tell what it was, but she saw part of the picture on the cover and was ever so slightly curious. She tried to reach it, but found that she was not tall enough to get it. She considered flying, but then realized that she didn't know the first thing about flying. She couldn't use magic because of the obvious.

She turned to her right to see a ladder stacked up against another bookshelf. She quickly assumed that it must have been for Spike, since Rainbow could easily fly up there and pick a book she wanted to read. Walking over to the ladder, she realized that she had no way to pick it up. The reason was obvious. She decided to just push it alone the shelves until she could use it to reach the book she wanted.

She probably should have noticed the books along the top of the ladder that were leaned up against it and the bookshelf.

When Twilight began to push the ladder, the books fell, each one falling onto her with a loud bump. "Ow... That hurt," she said. She looked back at the top of the ladder to make sure there weren't any books that could fall on her. When she confirmed that there were no more books, she continued to push the ladder over to the other bookshelf.

Once it was there, she cautiously climbed the unstable ladder. Her shaking didn't help with her situation. When she got to the top of the ladder, it was wobbling like crazy. She quickly grabbed the book in her muzzle and made her way back down the ladder. She sighed when she reached the bottom, thankful that she didn't fall.

She bright the book into her room and onto her bed. There was nowhere else she thought of reading. She looked at the cover of the book once she set it down. What she saw was the picture of a pegasus swinging on some vines holding a blue statue. The pegasus was swinging away from a giant blue creature. There was a sort of- banner. Yeah, that was it. A banner above the picture with smaller picture- like things. What are those things?

She spent the next few minutes wondering what those pictures might have been. When she couldn't figure it out, she used her hoof to open the book and turn to the first page. What she saw shocked her. The entire book was filled with those pictures she saw on the cover! Oh come on! How am I supposed to read with these pictures all over the book!

Angrily, she set the book down on her bed. Walking back out the door, she found another book closer to her height and picked it up as well. This time, she opened it up before heading into her room, only to find that this book had small pictures too. Growling, she went through about ten other books before giving up and lying on her bed again.

This stinks. I'm alone in a library and I don't even know how to read. Can this day get any worse?

Ponyville September 14th 1002

Rainbow walked with Blue through the early morning streets of Ponyville. (As if that wasn't obvious enough to the bold letters above...) The streets were quiet, as they would be early on in the morning.

Rainbow didn't like being up this early, out of the warm comforts of her bed, but this was an exception. Blue knew a lot about this... Twilight... and she needed to know more about this situation. Also, she might wake her up if they were in the library.

"So... What do you know about Twilight?" she asked.

"A lot," he replied. "Twilight is the most powerful unicorn that has ever existed, besides Star Swirl the Bearded. And I know more about him than the history books."

"But I'm not asking about Star Swirl. What do you mean by, 'most powerful unicorn that has ever existed'? Isn't she an alicorn?"

"Right. Well... yes she is. But she wasn't always one."

"How's that possible?"

"She proved herself to be right for being a princess. See, she used to be a regular unicorn that lived in Canterlot with her family. Do you know Shining Armor?"

Rainbow nodded. "He's the Captain of the Royal Guard. Everypony who has lived in Canterlot knows him."

"Well Twilight Sparkle is his sister."

Rainbow's jaw flew toward the ground. It was stopped since it couldn't go that far, but it still stayed open. "How come I've never heard of her? I've lived as Celestia's student for nearly all of my life, and I've never heard of Shining ever mentioning having a sister!"

"Well, I wouldn't blame you. The Twilight in the library is from another dimension. This is an entirely new place for me and her, and she might not have even existed here."

Rainbow thought about that for a moment, and then spoke up after remembering something her teacher told her. "Wait, Celestia said that she had heard her name before. If she never existed here, how is that possible?"

"It could mean anything," Blue said. "Her name could have appeared in a prophecy, an old book, or anything. Unless we hear real evidence that she existed, we won't get anywhere with helping her adjust to this reality."

"But why are we having her adjust to living here? Aren't you just going to be taking her back when possible?"

"Yes, but how do you think she will react? She ends up in a place that is familiar to her, but then there are these ponies that say they're her friends. What does she think? She would think that they're trying to control her.She would recognize you as a friend, but what about her other friends back at her home? She doesn't know them. That would turn out bad for her, for she would think they would bring harm to her. If we have her introduced to her friends in this reality, she will have a better time when she heads home."

"But wouldn't she just think that you were bringing harm to her? I mean, you'd be taking her to another place when she thinks this place is her home. What would she think then?"

Blue had now stopped and stood still in the quiet street. "I didn't think of that," he said. "But I can't take her back for an entire month. We wouldn't want her to just stay locked up in the library all day wouldn't we?"

"No, I guess not. But you still haven't told me all about her."

"Right. Well... I said she became an alicorn, right?" Rainbow nodded. "Well that was because of her friends."

"Are you referring to me and the other Elements of Harmony?"

"Yes. But in her reality, she is an element too."

"You said that yesterday. The 'Element of Magic'?"

"That's correct. Without it, the other elements wouldn't work. Have you fought Discord?"

Rainbow shook her head. "No, who's he?"

"You'll know soon enough. Anyway, Twilight and her friends fought him. He used one of his powers and made the elements useless as well."

Rainbow's ears perked up. "Really? What was it?"

"He changed all of the bearers of Elements of Harmony's personalities. Honesty became Dishonesty, Kindness became Rudeness, Laughter became Anger, Generosity became Greed, and Loyalty..."

Rainbow gulped.

"...became Betrayal."

A single drop of sweat formed on the cyan pegasus' forehead. "H- How did they defeat him?"

"Well after Twilight lost her harmony between her friends, Princess Celestia kept sending back the friendship reports that Twilight had written and sent after learning a new lesson in friendship. After reading through all of them, she remembered all of her good memories she had with all of you. That gave her reason to try again, and she succeeded. She reminded her friends about who they really were and defeated Discord."

Rainbow sighed with relief upon hearing a good ending. "That's good to hear, that they defeated him. Do you know when he'll come, or anything we should note about him for when we have to fight him?"

"Well, I do, but I don't think I should tell you much more."

"Why not?"

"If you knew all that information about him, you would try and prevent it, wouldn't you?"

Rainbow opened her mouth to protest, but decided against it when realizing he was right.

"If it was prevented, then all events that happen because of that won't happen," Blue continued. "That is important in any timeline. Don't mess with events that must happen."

"Well, how did Twilight become an alicorn?"

"I thought I already told you. Her friends helped her."

"Did we all become alicorns?"

"Rainbow, you saw the original world Twilight was from. The other you."

"Oh." She chuckled. "Right."

"Well, lets head back to the library and help Twilight, shall we?"

"Yeah. With what you said, I think I know enough for now. Lets head back."

Chapter 7 - Magic Lessons

Ponyville Library September 14th 1002

Blue and Rainbow Dash entered the library to see a huge pile of books lying on the floor. All cramped up right next to a bookshelf.

"What happened here?" Rainbow asked.

"I'm not entirely sure," Blue replied. He walked up the small pile of books on the floor. Several were open and bending along the spine, while a few others were closed. "They weren't like this when we left, were they?"

Rainbow shook her head. "No, those books were on a ladder." She pointed to the ladder that was over at another part of the bookshelf. "That ladder right there."

Blue looked at the ladder and then around the room. "I see no other ladders," he stated.

"Well, the ladder wasn't right above the books, so I thought you wanted clarification."

"Is something the matter?" a tired voice came from the top of the stairs. Both of them looked in that direction and saw Spike rubbing his left eye with his claw.

"Spike, did you cause this?" Rainbow asked, pointing to the books with her hoof.

Spike looked at the books. "No," he flatly replied. "I was asleep until recently."

"That leaves one possible answer," Blue stated. He quickly trotted over to the door where Twilight's room was. He knocked three times on the door. "Twilight? Are you awake?"

A sudden thud could be heard on the other side of the door, followed by several hoofsteps. The doorknob turned and revealed Twilight on the other side.

"Twilight, just a quick question." Blue turned and pointed to the pile of the books. "Did you cause that pile of books on the floor?"

She followed the direction that his hoof pointed. She never verbally answered, but did nod in disappointment.

"Twilight, it isn't anything to be sad over. I was just wondering if you were the one to cause it. May I ask why?"

She brought her head up and looked at all who were in the room. "I... I was trying to get a book of the top shelf earlier," she said quietly. "I moved that ladder to reach it, but sever books fell on my head when I did."

Her head tilted down again. In response, Blue wrapped one hoof around her back and started calming her. "Twilight, it isn't anything to be sad over. In fact, it is perfect for our first lesson in magic."

Her head shot back up and she looked at Blue. "Really?"

He smiled back at her. "Really." He looked over to Rainbow Dash. "Rainbow?"

She flinched when he mentioned her name. "Y- Yeah?"

"Could you make sure that you and Spike don't interrupt us?"

She sighed slightly, and calmly replied: "Yeah, I can do that."

"I can speak for myself!" Spike argued.

Nopony there listened to him. Rainbow flew beside Spike, while Blue and Twilight remained on the floor.

"Twilight," Blue said, making Twilight give her full attention. "This spell is a basic one for all unicorns to learn. There are two things that I believe you need in order to cast this spell." His horn lit up, and one of the books on the floor started glowing. In an instant, the book flew into the air, and then floated in front of Twilight and Blue. "Levitation allows the caster to pick up objects on their magic and move them around as they please."

She nodded and continued to look at the book that floated in the air in front of her. Blue continued, "One thing you need to cast this spell is a good concentration on the object you wish to levitate. For example, I needed to focus on the book behind me. The other thing I believe you need for any spell, is an idea of what you want it to do."

Twilight looked confused. "What do you mean 'idea of what you want it to do'?"

"Twilight, not all spells are the same. Levitation moves objects around, but without any direction of what you want the spell to do, it's pointless to cast it in the first place. If you just focus on trying to levitate the book, the spell won't work as you want it to. I may be keeping this book off the ground, but I'm also keeping it from going up and sideways as well. By just wanting to levitate the book up, it will go up, but it won't go in any direction you may want it to go. Just up."

Twilight watched as Blue demonstrated by continuously levitating the book upwards. He brought it down again and placed it on the floor. His horn stopped glowing, and the book's glow faded as well. "Do you wish to try, Twilight?"

She instantly smiled, and nodded he head in agreement. "Yes!" She looked down at the book. She closed her eyes and tried to imaging the book floating off the ground. She felt something awakening inside her. Something she had, but had forgotten.

"Wait!" Blue said, interrupting her thoughts. "Twilight, I nearly forgot this. Be careful with how much magic you use."

She tilted her head at him. "Why is that such a big deal?"

"Twilight, this spell is simple for any unicorn to do, no doubt about that. But you're an alicorn."

"What does that have to do with anything?"

"Alicorns don't have the same amount of magic as unicorns do. They have a lot more. Levitation can be used by the simplest amount of magic. You don't even feel the slightest bit tired after doing it. Alicorns need to control their magic, for they could use too much in a spell."

"What happens if I use too much?"

"The book can be unwillingly sent through the roof of this library in mere seconds. Try and use a small amount of magic, if possible. We want to cause as little amount of damage to our friend's home."

Twilight nodded. She closed her eyes once more. She felt the some feeling of something awakening again. But this time, she focused on a tiny part of it. The feeling went all the way to her head, and into her horn. She heard the sound of something shimmering above her, but she dared not open her eyes. She focused the feeling on the book in front of her. She imagined the book being lifted ever so slightly into the air.

"Look at that!" she heard Spike say. "She's doing it!"

She slowly opened her eyes and looked to where the book once sat on the floor. Nothing. She looked ever so slightly into the air in front of her.

There was the book. Floating in a brilliant magenta glow was the book. She saw Blue behind the book, smiling in her accomplishment.

"I... I'm doing it! I'm really doing it!"

All of the sudden, the book started shaking violently. It flew strait at the wall to the left. Right before it collided, it changed direction and flew strait at Rainbow and Spike. They closed their eyes and braced for impact, but it never came. They opened their eyes once again, to find the book in a different glow.

Blue had stopped the book in midair, right before it impacted them. He bright the book back gently and placed it with the other books. "You were doing fine Twilight. Do you know what you did wrong?"

She looked down. "No..."

"Twilight, you lost your focus. You got too excited with seeing your achievement, you didn't focus on the spell. Not paying attention to your spells is very bad. If you allow your magic to continue running while you're not paying attention to it, it can go haywire, like you just saw."

Twilight looked back up at Blue. "But what about you earlier? You were talking to me while showing me how levitation works."

"That's true, I was. But, I was still focusing on the spell that I was casting. Multitasking can be very useful when demonstrating, or casting a spell. You need to keep part of your mind focused on the spell, while also doing something else at the same time."

Twilight nodded. "Should I try again?"

Blue shook his head. "No, I think we should take a break now. Let your magic rest for a bit Twilight. We can continue our lesson later."

"Alright," she said. She turned around and began heading back into her room.

"Wait."

She turned and saw Blue slowly walking toward her. "Yes?"

"Do you mind if I do something really quick? I want to check something. It will only take a second."

Twilight turned back around to face him. "Sure," she said. "What is it?"

"Oh, nothing you should be concerned about right now." He stood right in front of her. "I promise, this won't hurt a bit."

His horn glowed with the familiar glow from earlier. He lowered his horn onto her head, and then raised it again not a second later.

"Hmm..." he said.

"What was that?" Twilight asked.

"Nothing," Blue replied flatly. "Rainbow, can I speak with you upstairs?"

"Sure," she replied, beginning the ascent up the stairs.

"Twilight, we're done. You can do what you want now. I need to speak with your kind host," Blue said, following Rainbow up the stairs.

"Oh," Twilight said as the two of them disappeared up the stairs. She gave another look of depression. "Alright then."

Upstairs

Once the two of them were in the room, Blue walked over to the window while Rainbow walked over to her bed.

"What was it you wanted to talk about Blue?" Rainbow asked.

He looked out the window. "It's about Twilight," he said. "About her memories."

"Yeah, she has amnesia. That's why we're going to progressively get it back within the next month."

Blue shook his head. "No."

"No? No what? You suddenly don't want her to get her memory back? That seems a little cruel to me."

"It's not amnesia."

Rainbow looked confused. "What do you mean, 'it's not amnesia'? She has no memories about her past except her name. What else could it be?"

Blue sighed. "Rainbow, there's a big difference between someone who lost their memories... And someone who had them taken."

Rainbow tilted her head. "What do you mean?"

"You saw me cast a quick spell just now, right?" He looked over at Rainbow, who nodded in agreement. "Well, that was a spell I once learned to enter another's mind and allow me to look at another's past. I used that on her, and I found something beyond belief."

"Her memories weren't there?"

Blue nodded. "The only memories I found were the ones she had ever since waking up in your world, and one other. Her name."

"I remember that when I interrogated her earlier, that was the only thing she remembered," Rainbow noted.

"That's because of one reason, Rainbow. Taking somepony's memories is one thing, but somepony's identity is another. Your name is your entire identity. Not the memories that you have when you use that name, but the name itself. To take one's name is to take their identity. To do that is nearly impossible."

Rainbow gulped. "Nearly?"

Blue nodded again. "It is possible to take somepony's identity. Difficult I might add as well. If you take away who somepony is, that gets rid of anything that makes them different from any other pony you might find here in Equestria. Cutie marks do that too, but it is not something that proves your identity. While your cutie marks say what you're good at doing, a name is what tells some other pony who that pony is."

Rainbow thought about what he said. "But what about the changelings?" she asked. "I read about them once. Don't they take another's identity to feed off another's love?"

"No Rainbow, they don't. They take your form, but not your identity. They use who somepony is, but they are another pony entirely. They also don't 'take' anything. They copy. Copy their target's form and use it so that they can accomplish something they would otherwise be unable to do."

"So how do you take away somepony's identity?"

Blue shook his head. "I'm not entirely sure. I know its possible, because I once saw it happen a long time ago. But since we're not dealing with that kind of problem, let's avoid talking about it, okay?"

"Fine," Rainbow huffed.

"Alright then. Now, there's still the problem bout Twilight's memories."

"The one's that were taken, right?"

"Correct. Since her memories weren't lost, but taken, we face a heavy problem right now."

"And what's that?"

Blue looked directly at her. "She can't recover her memories."

Chapter 8 - Lost and Forgotten

Upstairs Ponyville Library September 14th 1002

"What do you mean she can't recover her memories?" Rainbow asked in a fury. "We're doing all this to help her regain her memories, and you just come up and say she can't regain them?!"

"Rainbow, I never said that she can't regain her memories, weren't you listening? I said she can't recover her memories."

"Oh, really?"

"Yes, really! If you would let me explain it-"

"Then start explaining bub!" Rainbow interrupted.

Blue sighed. "Rainbow, 'regain' and 'recover' are two different things. Recover is retrieving something that is lost, or healing from an injury. Regain is just retrieving what is lost. When I used the word 'recover', I meant 'heal'. He memories can't be healed."

"And why not?"

"Because you can't heal what isn't there!" Blue snapped, making Rainbow flinch. "If this was a normal case of amnesia, then she could recover her memories, as in heal. Since her memories weren't lost, but stolen, they cannot be healed. Only retrieved, regained, ect."

Rainbow, who was still shocked by Blue's sudden shouting, spoke up. "But what about-"

"There's nothing more about it, Rainbow," Blue interrupted. "With her memories stolen, the only thing we can do is hope we find them. And there are four problems we face while doing that."

"And... those are...?"

"One, we need to find the memories. That wouldn't be so hard, because we can find them with a tracking spell. Two, we need to find out who took her memories. That one can be difficult or easy, depending on who took them. Three, this pony that took her memories is experienced in memory spells, allowing them to take another's memories. This suggests that they are a unicorn who is very skilled in magic."

Rainbow was listening carefully. "But what about the fourth reason?"

"That's the one I'm afraid of," Blue stated. "You have to remember, the Twilight in your library downstairs is from another dimension. This means that the pony who did this is either from another dimension, and somehow pushed Twilight into this dimension, or they are from this dimension nada pulled her in. Either way, that is dimension hopping. There are currently only two ponies I know who can do that. One of them is me, and the other is a good friend of mine. Neither of us would do this to Twilight, so we are out if suspects for any type of reason I can think of."

Rainbow sighed and looked back at the door. "So if we don't have any idea who did this, how they did it, or anything... What do we do?"

Blue walked over to the bedroom door. "I don't know," he said. "And there are more things that I'm afraid of then just who took her memories and how her memories were taken."

"What then?"

Blue glanced back at her. "I'm worried of what they plan to do with them."

Downstairs

Twilight could hear them yelling upstairs, yelling about her. Blue was saying something about 'regain' and 'recover', but neither of those words made any sense to her.

She trotted around the room. "This sucks," she said. "I can't do anything."

But you can.

Twilight perked her ears up. "W- Who said that? Who are you?" She looked around, but saw none to answer her question.

Please, listen to me!

"Why should I listen to you?"

Because I'm the only one who can help you get your memories back!

Twilight quietly gasped, and her eyes widened. "Who are you?"

My name is ________. The voice paused. M- My name is ________.

"What?" Twilight pressed on. "What is your name?"

I... I can't say... But that's not important! We don't have much time to talk!

"Why? What's the matter?"

I don't have time to explain!

"Why don't you?"

RRGHH! Look... Just hear me out, okay?

"Okay."

Good. Now, I need you to come into the- URK!

"Huh? Come into the 'irk'?"

No response.

"Hello? Little voice in my head, are you there?"

"You talking to someone Twilight?" Spike spoke up from beside her, making her jump. She turned to the purple dragon, small fear in her eyes.

She calmed down after a second. "No," she lied. "I wasn't talking to anyone."

???

"URK!" the voice went suddenly. Though there was no visible neck, it felt like something was choking on one, and it caused that sound to come from the voice.

"Now now..." another voice spoke. This one sounded calm, but sinister at the same time. "We can't have you ruining our surprise."

The first voice gasped for air when the choking stopped. "You... you're a monster."

"I'm a monster?" the second voice asked. "I- I'm a monster? You don't get it, do you? Your life was perfect. Better than perfect, even!"

"Get what?"

"Ah... There you go, admitting that you don't know, even though I've told you many times before."

"You never once said this! You said that you're life was perfectly planned out; that you were happy with the way you were living!"

The second voice laughed at the first's statement. "No... I was happy with the way you were living. And that goes to say, that I was happy with the way I was living. We are, after all-"

"I would never consider you anything close to that!"

"But why deny it, my dear? It's the truth, isn't it? And didn't one of your friends tell the truth even when you didn't believe it?"

"I... I- How do you know that? I never told you anything about that time!"

The second voice laughed once again. "Oh, even you know the answer to that. You think that being the state of somepony's mind just protects you from all the dangers of the world around you? I've seen what you are... I've seen everything about you. You can ask me any question about yourself, and I will be able to answer without a second's delay."

The first voice remained quiet for some time. "What is my name?"

The second voice didn't answer. "Congratulations. You've found the one question that cannot be answered to you."

"Why?! What is my name?! Tell me! Why is that the only thing I cannot remember?"

The second voice laughed once again, more menacing and longer this time. "And why should I tell you? You're no threat to me. The only one who could stop me now has nearly no memories of her past! She wouldn't be able to stop me now if she tried."

"You really are a monster..."

"Oh, I would highly doubt that. You see everypony out there? They're the monsters, not me. They took everything I would have had, and changed it all around! I was just as impressive as that rainbow-maned pegasus all those years ago! She reason I've been living in a heap o for over fifteen years!" The second voice seemed to spit words, but almost immediately calmed down.

"And then you found me."

The first voice remained silent.

"You and that curious mind of yours got the better of you. I should really thank you for you've done. You haven't just improved my life. You've changed it entirely. Thanks to you, I finally know how I can get the life I was meant to have back. The life you practically earned."

"Don't do this..." the first voice spoke again. "Please, there's another way to go about this. Let me help you."

"There is nothing anypony like yourself can do to help me!" the second voice spat once more. "This Equestria had me bow down to it for far too long! But now, it will bow down to me... like it once did to you."
