He has been in Living in Ponyville for a few weeks, but because of his new life he has no memory of his past. Unknown to the locals though now that creatures from the shadows plan to wreak havoc on the citizens of Equestria. He now travels with the six elements bearers to search not just for a way to restore peace to Equestria, but to search for his memory.

There are elite warriors that work in a secret society known as Organization XIII. Behind those warriors were a few special ones that are able to take down heartless and obtain hearts. Their names were Roxas and Xion. Their goal was to collect hearts for Organization XIII to prepare for Kingdom Hearts. Zexion explains to Roxas and Xion that by completing Kingdom Hearts, the Organization members will become whole again.
After Roxas and Xion collect many hearts, Xemnas shows the other Organization members the Kingdom Hearts that has appeared over the Castle That Never Was and how close they are to finishing it. But Xemnax’s real plan was to take the Kingdom Hearts for his own to finally take over the Organization. For that task to succeed, he brainwashed Xion and turned her into an evil version of herself by becoming a towering titan. Seeing that there was no other way to save Xion, Roxas had no choice but to defeat his best friend who was like a sister to him.
When Roxas defeats Xion, and she begins fading away, she asks him to make sure Xemnas does not achieve his goal of obtaining Kingdom Hearts, and to free the hearts they captured. Now it is was up to Roxas to defeat Xemnas. He fought valiantly and defeated Xemnas, but lost his life at his hand as well. Organization XIII lost its two great assets to the group and was forced to disband. Unknown to them was then was that Roxas was given a second chance in live in another world.
“Where am I?” Roxas asked as he looks around the deep darkness "You're in limbo young nobody." A mysterious voice said to Roxas. “Who are you?” “My name is Death and you are currently in Limbo.” “Limbo?” “Yes. It is where spirits goes because they refuse to depart from the world of the living, or are given a second chance in the world.” “So am I here because my spirit can’t part from the world?” “No. you are here because you have been given another chance to live, but not in this world.”
Roxas was confused by this point. Death wasn’t really making any sense. What did death mean by that Roxas was still needed? “What do you mean by I’m still needed? I thought that I completed my journey when I stopped Xemnas’s plan to take kingdom hearts for hisself.” “There is but another world that requires your assistance Roxas.” “Okay, I understand.” “But in order to resurrect you, it must require me to erase your memory.” “But I thought you said that this other world needed my help. Why does it involve you to erase my memory?” “Do not take that tone with me Roxas. I am an eternal being!”
Roxas jolted away from death when his voice roared through this dimension. “Ahem, just let me explain. You will find allies in this world that will help you restore your memory, but this world isn’t the human world. That is the reason why I am required to do this. You will be given a new body to help adapt in this new world.” “I see. So what is this new world?” “This world is known as the land of Equestria. You will find your allies there. Do you accept?”
Roxas had gained another chance in life. He thought about this until finally; “I accept.”
As Roxas accepted his offer, Death now chants his incantation to revive Roxas in the new world. “A tragic ending isn't in your future. You are something unique and you have been given a new form and unique magic now go and do not die as I will have to keep your soul next time.”
When the incantation was done, Death swung his scythe and opened a portal that sucked Roxas into the new world. As Roxas passed through however, he felt his body changing entirely from head to toe. He felt his bones change and rearrange in several areas until finally; “Uh my head what happened?” Roxas groaned. “I found you outside of the hospital kiddo. You’re very lucky to be alive” A voice stated from across the room.
Roxas turns his head to the right to see a doctor and a few nurses were looking after Roxas. “WH-Where am I? Ow!” His felt a sharp pain emit from his head. “Whoa, be careful. When I found you, you’ve seem to have gotten a very nasty blow to the head.” “How did that even happen?” “I’m not really sure. I was making my mourning rounds when I suddenly heard a loud thud outside. I then went outside to find you. I’m surprised you are still alive. But tell me, what is your name?” “It’s Roxas mister…” “Oh pardon me, my name is Quick Fix.” “Well thank you for helping me Mr. Fix.” “Where are you from exactly? I’ve never really seen a young colt like you around here.” “I-I can’t remember.” “Do you have any relatives?” “I don’t know. The last thing I remember is talking to someone about an incantation, and then I was sucked into a portal. Everything else after that is nothing but a blur.” “I see. Do you at least know your special talent?” “Talent?” “Well when I found you, you seem to have a cutie mark on your flank that is only a black cross.”
Roxas look where his flank was and saw that the doctor was right. But he really couldn’t remember much of anything. “I don’t really know what this is.” “My, my, you really don’t remember anything? Then maybe someone in this town can help you.” “What’s the name of that town?” “Ponyville. It may be a small town but everypony knows everypony.” “You think maybe somepony saw me their?” “All I can say is that I hope so sonny, otherwise you’re out of luck.”
So Roxas was finally able to leave the hospital and find the train station. His next destination was to ponyville to find his memory.
Roxas just arrived in ponyville and he took his time to check the scenery. He may have been in the big city if Trotting ham, but Ponyville was another story. He has never seen so much greenery in a small town. He knew it was going to take a while to get use to his surroundings.
‘So this is Ponyville; I wonder if anyone has seen me around here.’ He thought.
His thoughts were soon diminished when he was tackled by a pink blur out of nowhere.
“Ow, my aching head. What was that?” said Roxas groaning in pain.
“Oh gosh, I’m so sorry. I didn’t see you there” said a voice.
Roxas gets up, dusted himself off, and check his surrounding to where the voice came from. He noticed a bright pink mare with a puffed up mane and tail. Her smile started to creep Roxas out. Roxas was about to say something when she gasped and stormed off.
“(Gasping)”
‘What was that all about’ he thought.
“I see you just met Pinkie Pie. She can be a major riot.” said a voice.
“Who said that?”
“Over here.”
Roxas turned his head to find that second voice to spot a sky blue unicorn with a cool mint mane and tail.
“Hello there. My name is Roxas.”
“The name’s Lyra Heartstrings. So what are you doing around here? I’ve never seen a colt quite like you before”
"That's the reason why I came hear. I was hoping somepony saw me before." He implied.
"What are you talking about?" Lyra exclaimed.
"I have no memory."
Lyra gasped at what Roxas said. Why would he be here when he has no memory of his life or past?
"Wow, that must be hard for you. But I don't think anypony has seen you around here." She said worried
"But tell ya what: how about I show ya around town? You can get to know the pony folk around here."
"Thank you. At least with you around I'll e able to understand my surroundings better." He said calmly.
"Okay then, I'll lead you follow." Lyra said cheerfully.
So Lyra began showing Roxas around Ponyville and even talked about herself more so Roxas could get to know her better. She even introduced her friends, including Vinyl Scratch (DJ pon-3) and her roommate Octavia Melody. Roxas has really gotten to know them very well. He still wonders about his past.
"Really he has no memory of his life?" Octavia asked worriedly.
"Yeah. He said the reason he came down here was that he hoped somepony around here knew him. but so far, no luck." Lyra said with a heavy sigh.
"Well we can't just leave the guy hanging." Vinyl said.
"Well what are we going to do Vinyl?" implied Octavia.
"We can let him stay with you and me until he's settled in" Added Vinyl.
"Uh Vinyl, where is he exactly?" said Octavia when he noticed he was no longer in their house.
"Oh he said he was hungry so I let Lyra take him over to SugarCube Corner."
"I just wanted a simple lunch Lyra; why are we going to a place like this to get sweets?" said Roxas.
"Trust me, you are gonna love this place. It's where I come for lunch all the time." said Lyra cheerfully.
"Well, if the food here is that good, I'll give it a shot."
They walked in to see that business was pretty slow. Still Lyra opted for the BBS(Banana Split Supreme) while Roxas just wanted a milkshake.
"Mornin' Mr. Cake. I'd like a banana split supreme." Said Lyra cheerfully
"Can I just have a blueberry milkshake?" said Roxas
"Sure thing you to coming right up. Pinkie Pie could you come down here and help with the Banana Split Supreme?"
"Okie Doki Loki Mr. Cake." said a voice coming from downstairs.
Roxas immediately recognized her as the same mare he bumped into but took off for some odd reason. He figured her name was Pinkie Pie since her mane and coat were completely well, PINK. When she saw Roxas she jump in surprise and her party cannon accidentally hit Roxas clean in the face. Ms. Cake heard crashing noises and went to check outside to see a young colt on the floor, passed out. He was on her bed when he finally came too.
"What just happened?" He groaned.
"Oh good you're finally awake" said Pinkie Worriedly.
"Where am I?"
"You're in my room silly filly."
"I'm not a filly. Ow!" he said annoyed but then winced in pain.
"Careful young colt, you took a sharp blow to the head back their." Said Mrs. Cake.
"Are you okay?" asked Pinkie Pie worriedly.
Unknown to then was that Roxas had a memory surge of his past life. That blast to the head by Pinkie's party cannon help a portion of his memory resurface.
"When is my time?" Said Roxas in his mind.
"Your time will come when you are ready Roxas." said a voice clear in the background where Roxas couldn't see it.
"Hey, are you okay?" Said Lyra.
"I'm fine. I felt like I remembered something thanks to Pinkie Pie." assured Roxas.
"Pinkie Pie helped you remember something?" asked Lyra confused.
"Yes I remember seeing someone who sent me here; but I can't remember for what exactly."
"I guess thanks to her you managed to get a piece of my memory back."
"Ohh lets do it again." said Pinkie Pie enthusiastically.
"I don't think so Pinkie dear. wouldn't want you going to go knocking this fella out again." warned Mrs. Cake
"Ah pickles, fine."
"well it was nice to meet you all."
"But come back later, you coming to Ponyville calls for a PARTY!" yelled Pinkie.
Roxas said okay to the Cakes and Pinkie and he wondered how Pinkie's friends acted. But unknown to Roxas and his friends, is that dark forces are work in the shadows.
"Soon the land of Equestria shall be known as the land of darkness." Said a shadow drone
Roxas slowly got adjusted to his new lifestyle. He has really grown on Lyra and her friends. Especially a certain Pegasus named derpy hooves. He had to call it a day and decided to return to Vinyl's pad and get ready for tomorrow. As he was asleep though, he had a dream that involved his memory. "(Snoring) nnn.... Wh-wha where am I?"
"You are currently in your subconscious wielder of the keyblade" called out a voice.
"Who are you?"
"Someone you already know and one that you need to save for the upcoming battle that requires you and six others." assured the voice.
Roxas wasn't sure about himself at the moment, and he couldn't determine the mysterious disfigured body that spoke to him about the upcoming battle that involve him and six other.
"What battle? What other's? You're not making any sense. What going to happen?" demanded Roxas.
"That is something you must discover on your own Roxas" the voice trailed off and disappeared.
"Wait, Wait!"
It was too late. She already disappeared leaving Roxas with more questions. As he pondered his thoughts, a large shadow appeared and engulfed him inside.
"Auugh!" Roxas heavily breathed.
"Ugh just what was she trying to tell me? it just doesn't make any- GAH!" Roxas screamed."
"Uagh, oof! Vinyl!" Octavia screamed.
Roxas was wondering was that noise was downstairs and when he followed the sound, he saw DJ PON-3 washing the dishes with wubs.
Roxas was dumbstruck when he saw a dishwasher that was also a bass player. That was when Octavia stumbled down the stairs and came by to shut off the dubstep dish washer.
"Sigh" Octavia said but was still pretty upset.
"Uh hey, ya killed the wubs." Vinyl said obviously upset.
"Ugh vinyl, how many times do I have to tell you not to wash the dishes so loudly?"
"Oh come on Tavi, it's like the beast way to wake up in the morning"
"But you have to understand that I don't like waking up that way"
"Does this happen everyday?" Roxas said cutting in.
"Yes, it does. By the way Vinyl, I especially hate that nickname Tavi." Octavia pointed out.
"Aw come on don't do that Tavi".
"VINYL"
"Whoa hey, just calm down. I want to talk to you girls about something."
"Sure what is it?" Asked Octavia.
"Have you ever had somepony call to you from within your dreams?"
"Watcha mean?" Asked Vinyl.
"It happened to me just a little while ago. I tried to see who it was but when I was about to a large shadow engulfed me in its fangs instantly waking me up."
"So my wubs didn't wake you up?"
"No they didn't, and I feel like these dreams are getting worse for me."
"Are you sure Roxas" asked Octavia worriedly.
"I'm just so confused. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be doing." Said Roxas who was very frustrated.
"Maybe I know somepony who can help you out Roxas."
"Who?"
"Here name is Zecora. Maybe she can help ya." Vinyl pointed out.
"Who's Zecora?"
"She's a zebra Shaman that lives in the Everfree Forest. Maybe she can help with the dreams you've been having"
"Okay I'll go and see her."
"We'll be down by the park later for a picnic and all of our friends are coming." Said Octavia.
"The Everfree Forest is right outside of Ponyville if you take a left at the old clock tower." Vinyl pointed out.
Roxas thanked Vinyl and Octavia for the info and now he went to visit the one mare who had the answers to his dreams; Zecora. As the Everfree Forest came to sight he felt something lurking behind him. He turned around to spot a creature made out of wood. He wasn't sure what it was but he knew that it wasn't friendly. The first thing he did was run and find shelter. He spotted a hut when he was running and got inside. The creature then left when it spotted the hut. Roxas was relieved that whatever that was stopped chasing him, but that was when he heard a voice behind him.
"This must be from the heaven's skies to see a young colt before my eyes." said the voice.
"You must be Zecora?"
"Yes indeed. Would you like some tea?"
"Yes thank you."
As they sat down, Zecora asked why he came all the way out here to see her. Roxas then explains his dream to her and what he is supposed to do.
"This dream is of an upcoming battle you say, then you must be prepared for what is coming your way."
"But my dream didn't say who or what I will be fighting, but it did say that I wield a type of blade."
"That is a true mystery indeed, but I am not sure what you need. You must search for you memory for it hold's the key to your destiny."
"Thank you, Oh on my way over here, what was that thing that chased me awhile ago? It was made out of wood."
"That was a Timberwolf that hunts, and are dangerous when in a bunch."
"Wonder what else is in this forest?" he thought.
He thanked Zecora and was cautious about his surrounding on his way back to Ponyville. He remembered that Vinyl and her friends wanted to meet him at the park to get to know him better. He arrived at the park to spot Vinyl and the others waiting for him on a blanket.
"Hey ya made it." Called Vinyl.
"Hey" Called Roxas.
"It's good to see you" Said Octavia.
"So your the one that Pinkie pie was talking about?" said the lavender Alicorn.
"Uh, who are you?" said Roxas noticing a group of six ponies.
"Oh I haven't introduced myself yet. My name is Twilight Sparkle." Said the lavender Alicorn.
"Howdy their partner. Mah name's Applejack." Said a blonde mare.
"Rarity. Pleased to meet you darling." said a snow white mare with a curly mane.
"The names Rainbow Dash. the fastest flyer in Equestria." said the brash cyan mare.
"I'm Pinkamena Diane Pie, but everypony call me Pinkie." Said the pink mare with a cotton candy mane."
"I'm FlutterShy." said the very shy pony.
"I'm sorry what was that?" asked Roxas since he couldn't hear her correctly.
"FlutterShy" she replied.
"Oh that's a very nice name."
"So these are your friends Vinyl?"
"Yeah. These girls aren't just my friends though."
"Why does she have both wings and a horn?" asked Roxas pointing to Twilight.
"Oh that's because Twilight's a princess."
Roxas was very surprised to hear that. He has never met a princess before.
"Oh p-please forgive me for not being aware of your title." He stuttered.
"Oh don't worry about that. Just tall me Twilight."
"Hey Vinyl said something about meeting you here, So where'd you run off to?" Asked Rainbow Dash
"I Went to see Zecora about a dream I've been having."
"A dream." They all said Simultaneously Except for Vinyl and Octavia.
"Ooh What was it about?" Asked Pinkie Pie all giddy.
"I rather not bring it up. I still don't understand what it means." Roxas stated.
"Are you sure Roxas?" Asked Rarity.
"I'm very sure Rarity. I did thank her for hearing about my dream though."
"Okay then. Everypony my band and I are going to be playing a show in Canterlot and you are all invited as my guests." Said Octavia
"We're all invited?" Said Roxas.
"Yes Roxas. It would be nice if you came along to."
"Thank you."
After that Roxas and the other were ready to get on the train to Canterlot for Octavia's show. But along the ride, Roxas's dream continued to bother him in an unexpected way. He saw a vision of a girl he met before. He wanted to tell the others but he decided to brush it off and leave it at that.
Roxas and everypony he was with got off the train and made it to Canterlot. Roxas saw that it was a lot bigger than it was when it was far away on a mountain. As he stepped out of the train car, he took some time to check out the scenery.
"This is Amazing. Twilight do you live here?" Asked Roxas.
"I used to actually." Twilight pointed out.
"Why did you move?"
"Well before I became a princess, I was Princess Celestia's student at a school for gifted unicorns. She said that I needed to make some friends so she sent me to Ponyville. I've made very wonderful friends and I've been living there since then." She finished.
"That's amazing. So when does this show start for Octavia?"
"I start's in two hours. That should give us enough time to have a decent lunch before my performance starts." Said Octavia.
"I'd wish they let me perform here. I could really liven things up with my wubs." Said Vinyl.
"Uh Vinyl, this here towns' sophisticated so I highly doubt they let ya perform here." AppleJack pointed out.
"Hey let's not fight okay? Were all here to support Octavia at her performance today." Roxas cut in.
"Aw he's right. We're all here for her." Said Pinkie Pie.
"Well what are we waiting for? Lets go support her already." Said Rainbow Dash.
The group was on their way to the music orchestra until they were stopped by a certain celestial princess.
"It's good to see you again Twilight Sparkle." Said Princess Celestia.
"Princess Celestia. it's good to see you too." Said Twilight.
"This is Princess Celestia?" Said Roxas.
"Who is this?"
"Oh I almost forgot. His name is Roxas. He's new here."
"Oh where are you from then?"
"I'm not really sure. A doctor found me in ManeHatten." Roxas answered truthfully.
"He told us that he can't remember anything, but he did talk to us about a dream he had. Almost as if it meant something" Vinyl Pointed out.
"So he has amnesia?" Celestia Blankly pointed out.
"Yes. At least that is what the doctor told me."
"I'll see what I can do to help you Roxas, but in the meantime you said that you have a friend to support."
Everypony, realizing what Princess Celestia said, had to get ready for the concert.
Five minutes before the big performance, Octavia and her band were getting ready to perform. Her friends were already in the front row. For some reason she had a slight crush on Roxas. He is so kind, modest, caring and she was hoping to confess her love to him. But that was going to have to wait. Roxas and the others were ready for Octavia and her band to perform.
"Fillies and Gentlecolts, we like to present to you Octavia and the Canterlot Corset." Said the announcer.
Just as Octavia and her band were about to play, a very low growl that later turned into a very loud roar coming from outside.
"Wut in tarnation was that?" Said AppleJack.
"I-it s-s-sounded -sc-scary." FlutterShy cringed.
"Uh FlutterShy, what's up with your shadow? said Rainbow Dash.
"Wh-what do you...Fluttershy's voice trailed off to her horror to find her shadow was moving away from her and to a black spot.
It wasn't just her shadow that moved away from her, it was everyone's shadows from throughout the opera house.
"Hey what's going on with everyponies shadow?" said Roxas to his horror.
The shadow's then stopped moving and gathered into hideous shadow monsters. Everypony had fear in their eyes but it only made things worse. The shadow creatures feed on negative emotions such as fear. They started attacking ponies causing everypony to flee the opera house.
"If these creeps are here for a fight then they got one." Yelled Rainbow dash as she tried to attack one.
As Rainbow attacked one though, she fazed right through it surprising her and the creature later knocked her to the wall. Her friends later returned with the Elements Of Harmony to try and defeat him.
"Okay girls, get ready." Said Twilight as the elements powered up.
The energy blast passed through the creature proving that even the elements were ineffective against them. They later had to run away from them only for Twilight to trip and fall on the floor. The monster was about to kill her but then Roxas charged at the creature and when he did, his keyblade appeared and struck the creature defeating it. Twilight, and the other were just awestruck at what just happened. The elements couldn't stop what attacked them, but Roxas and his keyblade did.
"H-how did you do that?" Said Twilight.
"I-I'm not sure. I just didn't want to see you get hurt and then-" He trailed off at this point when he saw his weapon.
"Is everypony alright?" Celestia said when she came inside.
"We're alright Princess Celestia."
"Wait. What's happening to the elements of harmony?" Said Twilight as she notice them resonating.
They removed themselves from their holsters and reformed into keyblades similar to the one Roxas was holding in his hand. While that was happening Roxas felt another memory surge inside his brain.
"What the hay just happened?" said Rainbow Dash
"They turned into keys darling" said Rarity.
"They're actually keyblades, and those creatures I defeated were called heartless." Roxas said surprising everypony.
"They're call wut now?" Asked AppleJack.
Roxas then explains his memory surge he had while the elements were resonating with his keyblade.
"So you fight these so called heartless, and now they are here in Equestria?" Asked Celestia.
"Yes and I need to stop them before they do anymore harm."
"Twilight Sparkle; it appears the fate of Equestria doesn't just rest on your shoulders, but on Roxas's shoulders as well. He will have to accompany you and your friends to fight this new threat."
"We will do what we can Princess."
"Roxas, what I don't understand is that why did our elements resonate around your keyblade?" Twilight asked.
"I'm not really sure. Maybe if I can find more of my memory then we may be able to find out why." Roxas stated.
Now Roxas and the Mane Six go on a quest not just to search for a way to stop this new threat but to search for Roxas's memory.

"This blonde pony may be a problem. I was finally going to be rid of those accursed Elements of Harmony, and then he shows up and ruins every thing" Said a voice in the darkness.
"Don't worry he may be a problem now but he won't be for long." said a dark feminine voice in the shadows.
