Cloud Chaser, amid complications romantic and weather-related, tries to protect her vain, airy sister after they join the Ponyville weather team.

Content Note: Dark tag due to brief allusions to long-past injury to a foal and themes. Past alcohol use mentioned a couple of times.

Era: Pre-Season One right before the Elements of Harmony get together. (See an Index of my canon-compliant tales sorted by Season).

An entry in the Imposing Sovereigns III Competition using the prompt: [(Cloud Chaser) / (Determination)]. As required, Cloud Chaser is in a "position of power" over her minor sister, whom she is determined to take care of. To be fair, "Princess" Flitter is also demonstrating determination about improving herself and getting what she wants. Rainbow Dash shows determination as a leader, but she's not the focus.

Rainbow Dash does care for Flitter, she's been adapting to her new marefriend over the last month but Cloud Chaser's poor condition continues to put stress on Flitter's already strained relationship with her own emotions.

This is the second part of the series I started a bit ago, shipping the main six with background ponies. Fluttershy will be released later, I have to chop this up a bit, as I'm currently writing five stories at once!

I've added an in story dating system to the stories as the stories are actually somewhat intertwined so for any of you who are reading all of them they'll be easier to line up, the dating system has nothing to do with the real world (except that they coincide with 2019 just so they can be more easily tracked.)

With aging we grow up either to know more about the world or nothing at all. We learn and evolve throughout our lives leaving things we use to do in the past. Some of those things fads into our minds deep in our memories, never to be heard from again. Forgotten after years of development.

Though there are some memories that we hang to that are precious. Memories that remind us the love in our youth of those around us. Even the small thing that was shared with one another can transpire for a lifetime. Rumble learned this one evening alone with Flitter first hoof.

Rainbow Dash is known as one of the fastest ponies in Ponyville, whether it's in flying or chugging down bottles of alcohol. After another night of enjoying the drink, Rainbow stumbles into her marefriend Applejack's home both to sleep off the alcohol and enjoy a little time together with her marefriend.

What was usually a routine thing for Rainbow quickly descends into a most unforgettable night for her.

Blossomforth and her friends are just wrapping up a nice day at the amusement park, and stop by the souvenir shop on their way out. Blossom comes across a conundrum.
