Have you ever had a dream that just seemed so real, that it was impossible to say for certain that it was even a dream at all? A dream that, despite all of its impossibilities, seemed to re-write your entire perception of reality, re-writing your sense of what—and indeed, who—you are? Accepting change is hard enough as it is. But when you're a somebody who wakes up as a somepony, how do you cope with the impact such a drastic change has on your mind and body? With changes like these, it must surely just be a lucid dream—albeit a suspiciously accurate one—just brimming with potential and ripe for exploration. So you might as well suck it up and make the most of these distressingly…unusual circumstances, and seize this psychological adventure before you wake up and the dream ends.
After all, this couldn't possibly be real, so the dream must come to an end eventually…right?
Alas, the best ETA I can give is early May late May. Hopefully. I'm sorry about this, but as much I wish to, I can't expedite the editing process without sacrificing quality (and the editor's health). I hope the wait won't be excruciatingly painful. Also, if it weren't for a private life crisis in February which greatly hampered my desire to write for weeks, the 13th chapter would've been out by now.
However, I think I'll use this blog post as an updating progress gauge.
Blog updated: 18.5
Chapter updated: 15.5
Current chapter length (in words): 16339
Editor's chapter review progress: 58,9%
Edit:
Have a comic by paper pony =)

More art!

The animation in chapter 2 *spoiler*

This very, very, VERY impressive animation is featured in the second chapter. I spent who knows how many minutes gawking at this, unbelieving my eyes. This is probaly the closest Rosy will match a show-authentic pony. Again, huge thanks to TimeImpact for this incredible animation that begs us to give her a hug and tell that it's not so at all bad to be a female pony . . . It's not bad, right?

Thanks, Balthasar :] I thought I'd drop those references in, seeing as how it's a re-work of your picture, (although I've just realised they're both flipped the wrong way. Oops.) and they're two of my all-time favourite pony pictures.
The girl was originally going to be Stephanie but then I remembered I can only draw pony faces, these days. So it's just a tactically obscured anon
.

Consider that the aforementioned "embarrassed" face :D
And, yes! It's so cool that such variety exists in this small genre.

Holy crap, PP, that's awesome! Derpmind pointed this out to me and I was all like "
"
Hahaha, I recognize those two posters as well! Whoever's room that is, she's got good taste in wall art... Is that girl supposed to be anyone specific, by the way, or just an "extra"?
Also wanted to say, though, that your comic of Rosie's impatience and the 25 Expressions sheet are excellent - Especially all the bits with the pineapples.

Hahaha, what can I say...?
Glad you're enjoying the contrast; FPV really was the inspiration for me to start writing anything at all - I haven't done prose outside of a class... ever, really. Can't wait for the next chapter of FPV, either.

That's tremendous! You're a gift that keeps on giving! I'd lick your shoes were I not repulsed by the act itself. Sorry
.
Anyhow, that illustration actually highlights how balthasar and I depict ponies. His is a much closer match to a real pony both in physique and size, whereas in FPV they're much like their cartoon equivalents. It's an interesting contrast, just like the stories themselves are.

My top five fics box is dated and neglected, I'm afraid, so updating it would be a good idea. I'll be sure to include P-Theory there
.

Basically what I'm saying is that picture is awesome and you're awesome. Awesome all around.
So, uh, P-Theory only has like 1/10 the views FPV has. You ever consider recommending it to your readers, Suomibrony? I wouldn't ask that normally but I love P-Theory so damn much and it is derivative of FPV.

Perhaps like this?
I absolutely love P-Theory, too. The contrast between Blue Shift's and Rosy's character is interesting. It lets the two stories explore different aspects of transformation.
>>499692
Haha, were Rosy to receive that treatment, he'd be freaking out. Blue Shift is much more casual in general, though.

I know of that one. Knew of it long before it saw light on Fimfiction. I hope to get back to reading it some day.
Found a story that you need to read ASAP: P-Theory is a remix of your FPV, only with its own radical art, extra-dimensional magic, and a protagonist who thinks too much.
