Gaston is not even part of the original Beauty and the Beast fairy tale. He was created specifically for the Disney movie based on the fairy tale. While that film is arguably the most popular adaptation of the source material, that does not change the fact that it's still just an adaptation and a very loose one at that. It just baffles my mind why the writers did not consider these facts when they were working with characters that are supposed to inspired by the stories written by the Brothers Grimm, as well as all the other stories and legends from ancient civilizations.

The decisions made by Miles and Kerry are simply inconsistent with how Adam was characterized prior to the fall of Beacon, and you can check out the link I sent you earlier if you ever decide to learn about the details of this issue.

Yeah, it's very insulting to the fans of both characters.

Believe it or not, my personal favorite character before the fall of Beacon was Adam Taurus and even though I would have preferred that he stayed as a well-intentioned extremist and Blake's former partner/mentor, Miles and Kerry turned him into a cringe-inducing abusive ex for no reason other than appealing to Bumbleby shippers.
