A few weeks back I announced my eventual return to Halo/MLP crossovers. Today I give you the details of that return. This new story is titled 'Sins Never Die' and is set in a universe completely separate from my (mildly) popular 'Up There' trilogy.
Sins Never Die will be 34 chapters long, making it my longest story to date(just a little longer than Peace Fighter).
Meet the factions:
Equestrians: lead by the Four Princesses; Celestia, Luna, Cadence, and Twilight. The Equestrian Kingdom is the world's largest power, and cripplingly obsessed with peace and tolerance. Naive but adamant in their beliefs, the Equestrians will have a lot to learn about the universe.
Griffon Republic: the hybrid race has long held a rivalry with the Equestrians; everything the two races do piss the other off. The latest drama comes in the form of the Griffons expanding their military, defying the expired Demilitarization of Equus Act and pony-kind's focus on everlasting peace. Hardy and strong-headed, the Griffons are stubborn but will not hesitate to fight for what they believe in.
Dragon Empire: a race fierce and religious, the dragons have long ruled the skies of Equestria. Holding a long and strong bond with the Equestrians most, if not all, dragons would serve Equestria in her time of need, loyally defending the ponies with their lives. The dragons view the sky as sacred, as that is where their god, De'mah Tokam, first came from, and view holding and using it for military purposes is blasphemy. The dragons are ruled by the High Lord, Aldurmaax.
Humanity: on a classified mission from ONI itself is Captain Adam Kuyaki, commander of the UNSC Kabato, a destroyer. He and his ship have arrived at Equus at the height of the tension between the Griffons and Equestrians, and studies the two races.
Covenant Empire: on a mission to find an ancient race is Shipmaster N'por Tumai, a revered Aristocrat from the Tumai state of Sangheilios. The Shipmaster is a nimble swordsman, and intensely dedicated to both the cause of the Covenant and the purpose of his mission. He would sacrifice his own sons if he had any to complete a mission for the Hierarchs.
The synopsis: Impossible odds. That is what the Equestrians have always overcome. With hardship comes happiness, and continued peace is their goal. They had always worked out differences and problems with other races. But what happens when an alien race comes along and propagates violence and war? And encourages other races to do the same? The Equestrians will have to stand and fight when their entire world is in danger, whether they like it or not.
But what happens when a race wants to wreak genocide on your people? And what happens when that race was once seen as Gods by your closest allies and friends?
Sins Never Die releases November 16th, 2013. With updates planned to drop every two weeks.
