The Equestrian Civil War has been brewing for nearly twenty years at this point, just below Equestria's surface. Anger and resentment from Southern Equestria; hatred and spite against what they view as an over-reliance, over-abundance, and the heavy hoof of Equestria's Alicorn ruling elite is about to crack the nation in half. Into this coming deluge of gunpowder and the maelstrom of blood and death surely to follow behind it is thrust Twilight Sparkle, second in command of Equestria's armies- behind Princess Luna herself.

Only one thing is certain, as her country, her people, and her friends, head towards disaster; Nothing will ever be the same again.

Coal Coke's war ended ten years ago, when the Great War itself ended. He'd served his time, and gone home, still in one piece.

Well, mostly one piece. Physically, anyways.

But, when a particular case begins to bring back memories he'd hoped he had buried, Coal has to balance a deteriorating mind, and painful echoes of the past if he is to solve the murder of a local Celestian Priest in his hometown of Manehattan.

For over a millennium, Equestria has seen (mostly) peace, with the barest of militaries, seen as "unnecessary" due to the prolonged period of harmony and friendship that took root within the country. However, that is quickly changing. With Stalliongrad having broken free from Equestria years prior, and the Changeling hives newly reunited under Queen Chrysalis, the age of peace is coming to a quick- and bloody- end.

Serene Evenings is a newly minted Squad Sergeant in this mess of a war, thrust into Platoon command for the first time; something already above her pay and rank. However, desperate times call for desperate measures, and war waits for no pony.

Meanwhile, Thirty years later and half a world away, Tempest Wind finds herself in the Scorching Zebrican heat at the onset of the Second- and supposed Last- Great War, once more against the Griffonian Empire- Now the Third Griffonian Reich.

Years apart, yet still intertwined, both these soldiers must deal with the harsh realities of war, and the soldiers that are the core of it.

The Equestrian Empire and The United Socialist States of Gryphonia (USSG) Went to war with each other at the beginning of the new millenium, over a border country called Chenarus. Something happened after the war that nopony ever expected...

About a week or so after the Equestrian Marine Corps expelled the USSG forces from Chenarus, Sgt. Major Dusk Shine and his team of ponies, attaches from the 3rd Equestrian Rangers Division, are assigned a simple mission: the Garrison in Electrozadvosk, called Electro by the soldiers, has gone silent. Fearing a counterstrike from the USSG imminent, Brigadier General Steele sends Dusk's team to check out the area, infiltrating by Huey. Things don't always go as planned though, and When dead ponies and Gryphons start to appear from nowhere in particular, well... you'll just have to see for yourself.
