Now before you lot start thinking I've been getting into the rum, let me explain.

So, as some of you remember, the last picture of me in the flesh I put up here about a year ago, and some of you commented even then that I looked like a pirate due to me growing my hair and goatee out.

Well, I kept growing it and now, thanks to my Jewish blood, I literally look like Jesus.

The nickname's stuck just as much as the Pirate King, so I figured I'm Pirate Jesus now.

So, As you all know, I left the fandom for a while, and I'm now trying to get in some faculty back into it. However, I've run into a problem: apparently I've missed a lot since the Season 4 finale. So, what I'm asking of you my dear followers, is there any way y'all can bring me up to speed on what's been going on with all this? Yep, just got my transcript for the semester after a particularly long finals season. 4 B's in Medieval European History, Modern East Asian History, Leadership and Interpersonal Skills, and History of Alabama, rounding it out with a solid A in Leadership Theory. Needless to say, I'm relieved.

This also leaves free time for writing over the next few weeks while I'm on break, so that's always good.

How about you guys, followers? How are all of you doing?

I should probably be working on the paper due in an hour and a half, or at least on my story.

Instead, I can't pull my eyes away from this.

First off, I'm doing well. Sorry I phased out there for a little while, but this Rush season and the opening of school was a lot tougher than it had been previously. Silver lining? I have a new little brother in the fraternity, and a brony no less.

Just wanted to say that. I've been burried in work lately, so I thought people might've thought me dead, but I live still. Keep hauling, lads and lasses. Midterms will be through 'fore ye know it.

So, this petition is a petition against foalcon in the fandom. Now, I normally don't bother with petitions as they often have no real power, but this one I actually signed. This was more on principle really. I'm usually a pretty chill guy with the "write and read whatever the fuck you want as long as I don't have to," but children is where I start to draw a definitive line of that argument holding up.

Ok, so I really don't like to make these political posts, especially on a major tragedy since that usually turns ugly, but guys, I don't understand. The Charleston Shooting happens and (rightfully so) we mourned. We put the news on remembering the victims, on praying for their families. We advocated changes to the situations that caused the situation. We cheered to took down a flag, symbolically tackling the ideal the shooter fought for. And yet now, after a shooter kills five U.S.
