So I was doing a little insight as to my writing style and I think I've found a quirk of mine. Normally, I prefer a bittersweet story. Nothing pounds you with conflicting feels like bittersweet. That said, I think I have a preferred style of dark. I'm not sure if a term already exists for it or not, but I'll just call it a "death bell" effect for now.
