So yeah it's been a year and three months, or thereabouts? And it's been a hell of a year, lemme tell you. But first, a TL;DR.
New chapter will release on Jan 17. Subsequent chapters will continue to be released on the same weekly basis as before, every sunday, until diminishing returns burns through my backlog once more. Not sure how long that'll take, but hopefully I can keep ahead of it to a satisfactory degree. I'm excited to publish the chapters I've already finished, but I can't say much more than that.
Hollow Pony long ago surpassed anything else I've written as my longest single continuous work. It currently sits at ~230,000 words (depending on how much is added by this week's chapter, and with a little bit of rounding) and has updated weekly, every week, for the last 35 weeks.
First heard about this yesterday, seems EQD's picked up the story now. While Hollows aren't...quite this skeletal, it is still interesting and semi-related. At least in the field of "grotesque pones."
I’ve been writing Hollow Pony without any political intent with mind, as hard as that might be to believe. I was actually taken aback when one of my pre-readers, Non Uberis, pointed out some potential political subtext that this chapter has towards the end. And they’re not wrong, but it also wasn’t intended, and simply resulted in an unfortunate coincidence.
Hey there! The weekly updates for Hollow Pony are going to continue, of course, but since it's such a slow starter, I wanted to give everyone a little taste of what the story is going to look like in later chapters! Now, while this particular snippet is non-canon, I still feel as though it's incredibly representative of that writing quality, and it being non-canon means that it can be read with absolutely zero prior knowledge of Hollow pony or worrying in any way about spoilers!

An unfinished story is just that: unfinished. Until the author dots their last I and crosses their last T, until they click "complete" on the story's page, a story is barely that. An unfinished story, one that you're done with, is just an unfinished collection of loose ideas that could be a story when it's done.
